The objective of this research is to describe the perceptions of university teachers about their human, professional, and pedagogical dimensions. The study was framed in the analytical empirical paradigm based on the positivist vision, the descriptive quantitative approach and the non-experimental-transversal deductive method. The population consisted of 246 teachers from three faculties of a Colombian public university and the sample consisted of 180 individuals, to whom a Likert-type questionnaire was applied with 32 questions related to four variables: sociodemographic characteristics, being personal, being professional, and being pedagogical. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistical procedures. The results show that the participating subjects have developed their personal, professional, and pedagogical dimensions as part of their teaching identity. Although not all university professors have advanced studies in education or pedagogy, the culture of university life with all its logics, allows the socialization and circulation of educational, and pedagogical knowledge/practices--teaching experience/identity--that favor the praxis towards teaching, learning, didactics, and evaluation.

This research identifies the pedagogical transformations perceived by non-graduate professionals from developing pedagogy courses for the teaching practice. It corresponds to a quantitative study of the descriptive level framed in the empirical-analytical paradigm and the non-experimental transversal method of a deductive type. The study involved 152 non-graduate professionals who teach in the Faculty of Business Sciences in a higher education institution in Colombia and took no less than 120 hours in pedagogy, which corresponds to a legal requirement to be able to carry out teaching activities. An instrument composed of 33 Likert scale items was applied to the sample participants, which addressed sociodemographic characteristics, pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical practice and integral pedagogical subject. The data collected were processed through descriptive statistical techniques. The study's findings indicate that pedagogical training scenarios for non-graduate professionals, such as short courses of no less than 120 hours--as occurs in the Colombian context--positively impact professionals and their teaching qualifications. It is concluded that from the participants' perceptions, transformations are produced in pedagogical knowledge, practice and the configuration of the integral pedagogical subject.

This research aims to identify the self-perception of university students enrolled in business science training programs to develop common learning. It is a quantitative study based on the positivist empirical-analytical epistemological orientation. The descriptive cross-sectional experimental deductive method was implemented. The population consisted of 4,000 (N) students of a university attached to three undergraduate programs of a public university in Colombia - business administration, public accounting and international commerce. The sample consisted of 369 individuals (n), guaranteeing 95% reliability (Zc) and a 5% error level (E). The data collection instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire composed of 41 items. The dimensions analyzed were sociodemographic factors, metacognitive selfregulation, emotional self-knowledge and social skills. The data collected were analyzed through descriptive statistical procedures. From the results, it is possible to recognize that the university participants of this research generally have a good self-perception regarding the capacities associated with metacognitive self-regulation, emotional self-knowledge and social skills. It is concluded that there is a contribution from higher education in business science programs to comprehensive training, allowing the configuration of more suitable professionals to face the challenges imposed by the changing and dynamic contexts of the labor and social world. However, it is necessary not to ignore the cases of students who evaluate themselves negatively in this skill since it is essential to have complete and holistic professional profiles today.

The objective of the study was to recognize the self-perception of students linked to undergraduate programs of a faculty of business sciences regarding the development of transversal learning. It corresponds to research designed under the empirical-analytical paradigm, the quantitative approach and the nonexperimental deductive method - transectional of descriptive level. Considering a population of 4,000 individuals enrolled in the School of Business Sciences, the sample was estimated at 369 participants -95% reliability and 5% margin of error-. An instrument of 32 items with five dimensions was used for data collection: critical reading and writing, assertive communication, quantitative reasoning, citizenship exercise and responsibility, and appropriation/use of information and communication technologies. The data were processed and analyzed through descriptive statistical procedures. The findings show that most of the study participants were located in the 'moderately developed' options for each of the formulated items, which shows that cross-cutting learning requires further strengthening from the pedagogical strategies of teachers for comprehensive training. Therefore, it is concluded that the transversal learning of students enrolled in programs in the area of business sciences for the context of study requires further development and strengthening, especially those associated with critical reading and writing both in the mother tongue and in a second language, assertive communication in a second language, and quantitative reasoning.

En el artículo se hace una exploración de la teoría de la Modificabilidad Estructural Cognitiva (MEC) de Reuven Feuerstein, en relación con los ámbitos de aplicación de la misma. Para lo anterior, se ha hecho una recopilación de algunos estudios realizados en América Latina, Estados Unidos y Europa, a fin de identificar los diversos escenarios en que la teoría puede tener aplicación. Los resultados evidencian que la teoría de Feuerstein está ligada al concepto de desarrollo humano y que los sistemas creados con base en la MEC permiten reducir la deprivación cultural de muchas personas sin importar los factores endógenos que le afecten. Abstract: An exploration of Reuven Feuerstein's cognitive structural modifiability (CSM) theory, in relation to the scope of its application, is made in the article. For this reason, a compilation of studies in Latin America, The United States, and Europe, is made, in order to identify the different scenarios in which the theory can be applied. The results show that Feuerstein's theory is linked to the concept of human development and that the systems created, based on the CSM, allow the reduction of the cultural deprivation of many people, regardless of the endogenous factors that affect it.
