This work reports that a low‐temperature thermal calcination strategy was adopted to modulate the electronic structure and attain an abundance of surface‐active sites while maintaining the crystal morphology. All the experiments demonstrate that the new photocatalyst nano MIL‐125(Ti)‐250 obtained by thermal calcination strategy has abundant Ti3+ induced by oxygen vacancies and high specific surface area. This facilitates the adsorption and activation of N2 molecules on the active sites in the photocatalytic nitrogen fixation. The photocatalytic NH3 yield over MIL‐125(Ti)‐250 is enhanced to 156.9 μmol g−1 h−1, over twice higher than that of the parent MIL‐125(Ti) (76.2 μmol g−1 h−1). Combined with density function theory (DFT), it shows that the N2 adsorption pattern on the active sites tends to be from "end‐on" to "side‐on" mode, which is thermodynamically favourable. Moreover, the electrochemical tests demonstrate that the high atomic ratio of Ti3+/Ti4+ can enhance carrier separation, which also promotes the efficiency of photocatalytic N2 fixation. Preferential oxidation of CO in H2 (PROX) reaction is a promising solution to the on‐board purification of CO‐contaminated H2 fuel for use in next‐generation proton‐exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC). However, achieving high CO selectivity, activity and structural stability across the wide temperature window remains a great challenge. Herein, we fabricate centimeter scale interfacial PROX catalysts grown from nanoporous single‐crystalline Pr2O3 and Nd2O3 monoliths with lattice surface‐deposited Pt clusters at nanoscale. We demonstrate complete and selective removal of CO in H2 over an unprecedented wide temperature window (253–403 K). The monoliths are integrated with an operational PEMFC to purify the H2 fuel contaminated with CO (30 ppm) and enable stable power output for >400 h; over two thousand times longer than without. This work demonstrates that the nanoporous single‐crystalline oxide monoliths can simultaneously achieve the stability and overall performance required to realize practically useful PEMFCs. In this paper, the porous CoCCHH-CoSe heterogeneous-tube @PEDOT:PSS foam architecture with abundant surface defects and vacancies is prepared. The porous structure provides a large number of channels for ion transport, and the surface defects and vacancies provide abundant active sites for adsorption and oxidation reactions. [Display omitted] It is still challenging to construct stable 3D energy storage materials at the nanoscale by precise pore structure control and reasonable surface modification. Herein, a novel interwoven porous Co(CO 3) 0.35 Cl 0.20 (OH) 1.10 (CoCCHH)-CoSe heterogeneous-tube @PEDOT:PSS 3D foam with abundant active sites is presented as supercapacitor electrodes. The electrochemical results indicated that the pore structure provides ample space for redox reaction, and increases the number of ion transport channels. Besides, rational surface modification brings about sufficient active sites for redox reaction. The stable, porous PEDOT:PSS foam with a 3D elastic frame exhibited excellent electrical conductivity. Thus, the CoCCHH-CoSe@PEDOT:PSS foam possessed excellent specific capacitance and energy density, due to the synergistic effect of the unique 3D structure and surface defects. The home-made supercapacitor with CoCCHH-CoSe@PEDOT:PSS foam as cathode materials showed high specific capacitance (440.6F g−1 at 1 A g−1) and excellent energy density (137.7 Wh kg−1). [Display omitted] • Fibrous, porous, and magnetic imprinted strategies were combined in MPCM@MINs. • MPCM@MINs can be used as a novel adsorbent for Brilliant Blue extraction. • MPCM@MINs showed excellent properties of selectivity, fast separation, and reuse. • BB can be highly-efficient extraction and detection using MPCM@MINs with Uv. In this study, magnetic porous carbon microsphere composed of molecularly imprinted nanofibers (MPCM@MINs) were constructed and used as an adsorbent for the highly efficient extraction of Brilliant Blue (BB) in food samples. The MPCM@MINs contained imprinted nanofibers and a three-dimensional hierarchical porous structure with a magnetic responsive ability, resulting in a high surface area (368.3 m2·g−1), low mass-transfer resistance, large adsorption capacity, and fast separation ability. The maximum adsorption capacity of MPCM@MINs for BB was 39.47 mg·g−1 with excellent selectivity and a high imprinting factor (6.12). Moreover, MPCM@MINs exhibited good anti-interference ability, reusability and reliability. Importantly, BB can be easily and rapidly detected in food samples using MPCM@MINs as an adsorbent followed with UV–Vis method, and the relative standard deviation was lower than 5.85%. Therefore, MPCM@MINs may be a promising adsorbent for pollutant extraction in food samples due to the combination of different strategies of nanofibrous imprinting, magnetic separation, and hierarchical porous structure.
