Background: Recommendations for cosmetics are gaining popularity, but they are not being made with consideration of the analysis of cosmetic ingredients, which customers consider important when selecting cosmetics. Aims: This article aims to propose a method for estimating the efficacy of cosmetics based on their ingredients and introduces a system that recommends personalized products for consumers, combined with AI skin analysis. Methods: We constructed a deep neural network architecture to analyze sequentially arranged cosmetic ingredients in the product and incorporated skin analysis models to get the precise skin status of users from frontal face images. Our recommendation system makes decisions based on the results optimized for the individual. Results: Our cosmetic recommendation system has shown its effectiveness through reliable evaluation metrics, and numerous examples have demonstrated its ability to make reasonable recommendations for various skin problems. Conclusion: The result shows that deep learning methods can be used to predict the effects of products based on their cosmetic ingredients and are available for use in personalized cosmetic recommendations. Click‐through rate (CTR) prediction is a pivotal challenge in recommendation systems. Existing models are prone to disturbances from noise and redundant features, hindering their ability to fully capture implicit and higher‐order feature interactions present in sparse feature data. Moreover, conventional dual‐tower models overlook the significance of layer‐level feature interactions. To address these limitations, this article introduces Gate‐enhanced Multi‐space Interactive Neural Networks (GMINN), a novel model for CTR prediction. GMINN adopts a dual‐tower architecture in which a multi‐space interaction layer is introduced after each layer in the dual‐tower deep neural network. This layer allocates features into multiple subspaces and employs matrix multiplication to establish layer‐level interactions between the dual towers. Simultaneously, a field‐aware gate mechanism is proposed to extract crucial latent information from the original features. Experimental validation on publicly available datasets, Criteo and Avazu, demonstrates the superiority of the proposed GMINN model. Comparative analyses against baseline models reveal that GMINN substantially improves up to 4.09% in AUC and a maximum reduction of 7.21% in Logloss. The widespread adoption of Electronic Healthcare Records has resulted in an abundance of healthcare data. This data holds significant potential for improving healthcare services by providing valuable clinical insights and enhancing clinical decision-making. This paper presents a patient classification methodology that utilizes a multiclass and multilabel diagnostic approach to predict the patient's clinical class. The proposed model effectively handles comorbidities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The implementation leverages the MIMIC III database as a data source to create a phenotyping dataset and train the models. Various machine learning models are employed in this study. Notably, the natural language processing-based One-Vs-Rest classifier achieves the best classification results, maintaining accuracy and F1 scores even with a large number of classes. The patient diagnostic class prediction model, based on the International Classification of Diseases 9, showcased in this paper, has broad applications in diagnostic support, treatment prediction, clinical assistance, recommender systems, clinical decision support systems, and clinical knowledge discovery engines. With the massive amount of data available on the Internet, many users face problems when they need access to the information and goods they need. Adapting information to user needs has become a complex and time-consuming process. Recommender systems are powerful tools for guiding users in electronic settings to information, services, and goods of interest. With the ability to identify users and predict their preferences, recommender systems can extract information likely to be of interest to users from vast amounts of data and save time and energy by providing them with relevant recommendations. Therefore, in this paper, a framework for a recommender system is proposed, which consists of four main phases. In the first phase, the preprocessing operation is performed. The purpose of this phase is to create an ontology model for products based on the convolutional neural network method. Data collection operations are carried out in the second phase. The purpose of this phase is to receive and store user information based on behavior and different criteria. The third phase is related to creating an ontology. The purpose of this phase is to create an ontology model for user behavior using OWL libraries. Finally, in the last phase, finding similarities and presented a proposal. The purpose of this phase is the necessary calculations of the proposed framework in the similarity finding section using ontology models. Simulation results show that the proposed framework measures MAE (more than 10 and 15%), RMSE (more than 12 and 16%), precision (less than 10 and 13%), recall (more than 25 and 28%), F1-score (higher than 25 and 30%) and Score of User (higher than 15 and 17%) outperform two related approaches, namely CF and CF+ Ontology, respectively. Motivation The rapid expansion of Bioinformatics research has led to a proliferation of computational tools for scientific analysis pipelines. However, constructing these pipelines is a demanding task, requiring extensive domain knowledge and careful consideration. As the Bioinformatics landscape evolves, researchers, both novice and expert, may feel overwhelmed in unfamiliar fields, potentially leading to the selection of unsuitable tools during workflow development. Results In this article, we introduce the Bioinformatics Tool Recommendation system (BTR), a deep learning model designed to recommend suitable tools for a given workflow-in-progress. BTR leverages recent advances in graph neural network technology, representing the workflow as a graph to capture essential context. Natural language processing techniques enhance tool recommendations by analyzing associated tool descriptions. Experiments demonstrate that BTR outperforms the existing Galaxy tool recommendation system, showcasing its potential to streamline scientific workflow construction. Recommender systems are becoming more and more significant in today's digital world and in the modern economy. They make a substantial contribution to company operations by offering tailored advice and decreasing overwhelm. Collaborative filtering, being popular in the domain of recommendation, is used to offer recommendations to attract the target audience based on the feedback of people with comparable interests. This method has some limitations, such as a cold-start issue, which makes the system less effective in anticipating unknown objects. We provide a hybrid deep-learning-based strategy centered on a method to enrich user and item profiles to address the cold-start issue in the recommendation process using a collaborative filtering approach. We employ pretrained deep learning models to produce rich user and item feature vectors that aid in the creation of useful suggestions and handling of user and item cold-start issues. The creation of more precise and tailored similarity matrices is made possible by adding metadata to the extracted features of the user and item. Fairness has become a critical value online, and the latest studies consider it in many problems. In recommender systems, fairness is important since the visibility of items is controlled by systems. Previous fairness-aware recommender systems assume that sufficient relationship data between users and items are available. However, it is common that new users and items are frequently introduced, and they have no relationship data yet. In this paper, we study recommendation methods to enhance fairness in a cold-start state. Fairness is more significant when the preference of a user or the popularity of an item is unknown. We propose a meta-learning-based cold-start recommendation framework called FaRM to alleviate the unfairness of recommendations. The proposed framework consists of three steps. We first propose a fairness-aware meta-path generation method to eliminate bias in sensitive attributes. In addition, we construct fairness-aware user representations through the meta-path aggregation approach. Then, we propose a novel fairness objective function and introduce a joint learning method to minimize the trade-off between relevancy and fairness. In extensive experiments with various cold-start scenarios, it is shown that FaRM is significantly superior in fairness performance while preserving relevance accuracy over previous work. Deep learning is a powerful technique to boost application performance in various fields, including face recognition, image classification, natural language understanding, and recommendation system. With the rapid increase in the computing power of mobile devices, developers can embed deep learning models into their apps for building more competitive products with more accurate and faster responses. Although there are several works of adversarial attacks against deep learning models in apps, they all need information about the models' internals (i.e., structures and weights) or need to modify the models. In this paper, we propose an effective black‐box approach by training substitute models to spoof the deep learning systems inside the apps. We evaluate our approach on 10 real‐world deep‐learning apps from Google Play to perform black‐box adversarial attacks. Through the study, we find three factors that can affect the performance of attacks. Our approach can reach a relatively high attack success rate of 66.60% on average. In the present scenario, the product recommendation system is important to boost sales on many e-commerce websites. The majority of the existing product recommendation systems completely rely on the customer's website browsing history or historical transaction records to precisely predict the user's preferences for online product recommendations that are constrained by the limited information available on the e-commerce websites. Usually, processing the customer's feedback is a difficult procedure, where it is tough in interpreting and analyzing the text information. Therefore, an effective deep learning-based recommendation framework is implemented in this research manuscript. After acquiring text information from the amazon product reviews database, the data pre-processing is carried-out by using stemming, lemmatization, and stop word removal techniques. The undertaken pre-processing techniques remove both inconsistent and duplicate data that eases the process of data interpretation and use. Further, the computational time of the model is decreased by removing inconsistent and duplicate data from the original dataset. Then, the feature values are extracted from the pre-processed text data using the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) technique. The extracted feature values are fed to the enhanced convolutional-neural-networks (CNNs) for sentiment analysis. The enhanced CNN model uses Glove as a pre-trained model with a skip-gram in the word-embedding layer for identifying the relevant product ratings based on the user's experience to further enhance product sentiment analysis. The embedding layer in the enhanced CNN-model effectively converts every word into fixed feature vectors that helps in better word representation along with reduced dimensions. The enhanced CNN model obtained a mean recall of 94.80%, the precision of 93.64%, and accuracy of 96.92% on the amazon product reviews database and it is superior to the traditional CNN. In e-commerce, the session-based personalized recommendation remains challenging due to the limited user information within a single session. Merely relying on a user's local data is insufficient. It is vital to consider global data, extracting insights from sessions across all users to glean collaborative information. However, using all session information will waste computing resources. Moreover, much of the global data may not be pertinent to the current user, thereby undermining the quality of recommendations. To address this, we introduce the concept of personalized next session (PNS), selectively referencing sessions most relevant to the user to enhance the limited local data. This work is the first to adopt a deep network architecture study that incorporates the concept of PNS to recommend the next item for a user in the current session. Low-light image enhancement based on deep learning has achieved breakthroughs recently. However, the current methods based on deep learning have problems with inadequate resolution enhancement or inadequate contrast. To address these problems, this paper proposes a resolution and contrast fusion network with ConvLSTM (RCFNC) for low-light image enhancement. The network is mainly constructed by four parts, including resolution enhancement branch, contrast enhancement branch, multi-scale feature fusion block (MFFB), and convolution long short-time memory block (ConvLSTM). Specifically, to improve the resolution of the low-light image, a resolution enhancement branch consisting of multi-scale differential feature blocks is proposed, using residual features at different scales to enhance the spatial details of image. To enhance the contrast of the image, a contrast enhancement branch consisting of adaptive convolution residual blocks is introduced to learn the mapping relationship between global and local features in the image. In addition, a weighted fusion is performed using MFFB to better balance the resolution and contrast features obtained from the above branches. Finally, to improve the learning capability of the model, ConvLSTM is added to filter redundant information. Collaborative filtering (CF), a fundamental technique in personalized Recommender Systems, operates by leveraging user–item preference interactions. Matrix factorization remains one of the most prevalent CF-based methods. However, recent advancements in deep learning have spurred the development of hybrid models, which extend matrix factorization, particularly with autoencoders, to capture nonlinear item relationships. Despite these advancements, many proposed models often neglect dynamic changes in the rating process and overlook user features. This paper introduces IUAutoTimeSVD++, a novel hybrid model that builds upon autoTimeSVD++. By incorporating item–user features into the timeSVD++ framework, the proposed model aims to address the static nature and sparsity issues inherent in existing models. Our model utilizes a contractive autoencoder (CAE) to enhance the capacity to capture a robust and stable representation of user-specific and item-specific features, accommodating temporal variations in user preferences and leveraging item characteristics. Social networks are widely used platforms for sharing various information and content, including text, images, and videos.The main challenge in social networking today is the verification of data credibility and the identification of genuine social media profiles. Cybercriminals take advantage of this by utilizing fake profiles to disseminate false information. However, current research mainly concentrates on spam filtering and analyzing malicious behavior separately, disregarding the interrelated nature of these issues. We propose a more desirable global, hybrid solution that encompasses both malicious profile detection and spam detection to mitigate the spread of spam effectively. This paper offers a deep learning-based method for detecting malicious profiles and spam tweets. For the profiles to interact with them as legitimate profiles, we first provide the detection of fake profiles using an automated honeypot. Next, we detect those who make interactions as malicious profiles, and finally, we collect their shared content to find spam tweets using a convolution neural network algorithm. We suggest using collaborative filtering and content filtering algorithms from recommender systems to define accounts similar to harmful profiles and spam similar to spam material picked up by convolution neural networks. To recommend useful information to users more efficiently, this paper proposes a dual-path recommendation algorithm which combines multilayer Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and attention-enhanced long short-term memory network (Attention-LSTM). Firstly, the matrix factorisation technique is used for learning the long-term preferences of users. Secondly, a dual-path network based on CNN and LSTM is constructed to perform feature extraction on the rating matrix. This paper proposes an explainable recommendation algorithm based on deep learning for developing a transparent and explainable recommendation system. The proposed algorithm combines a multi-feature fusion model for text sentiment analysis and the innovative DeepxDeepFM recommendation model to provide accurate and interpretable recommendations. First, Bi-LSTM and MCNN are employed to extract multi-dimensional features from comment data. Then, the DeepxDeepFM recommendation model is used explicitly for comment data with numerous feature vectors and significant linear changes. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that our proposed explainable recommendation algorithm increases the accuracy by 1.57% and decreases the root mean square error by 2.69%, contributing to higher model performance. Developing online educational platforms necessitates the incorporation of new intelligent procedures in order to improve long-term student experience. Presently, e-learning Recommender Systems rely on deep learning methods to recommend appropriate e-learning materials to the students based on their learner profiles. Fine-grained sentiment analysis (FSA) can be leveraged to enrich the recommender system. Users posted reviews and rating data are vital in accurately directing the student to the appropriate e-learning resources based on posted comments by comparable learners. Innovative has been made in this work to propose a new e-learning recommendation system based on individualization and FSA. A new framework is proposed based on collaborative filtering models (CFMs) integrating with fine-grained sentiment analysis (FSA) for hybrid recommendation (CFISAR) for effective recommendations. CFMs attempt to capture the learner's latent factors based on their selections of interest to build the learner profile. FSA models are introduced to deliver e-content with the highest ranked ratings related to the learner's area and interests based on the extracted learner model. Moreover, a new approach is proposed to update the system continuously and not keep it bound to certain items by adding new books, where the initial rating of these new books is predicted based on FSA models. CFISAR is explored utilizing six CFMs to generate the prediction matrix and derive the learner model, resulting in a low MSE of 0.699 for Asymmetric SVD. The system used multiplication word embeddings for stronger corpus representation that were trained on a dataset generated for an educational context, and leveraging the goodness of deep learning, which predicted an accuracy of 0.9264% for the Peephole algorithm, that performed better than other models. With the tremendous proliferation of social media in day-to-day life, social content has become one of the potential information sources. Ensuring social trust is crucial to averting the negative impact on viral marketing, expertise retrieval, and recommendation systems, leading to ascertainment of credibility of social media users. A unified framework is proposed for evaluation of the user credibility through analysis of three fundamental credibility-related factors from social media and e-commerce sites, namely, probability of being a promoter, a spam bot, and/or a spammer. The factors are estimated using deep learning baseline model and/or further analysed using Fuzzy Inference System for making a decision on Tweeter credibility. The framework is demonstrated on Twitter and Amazon benchmark datasets for evaluating its efficacy in identifying credible users. In the context of academic expert finding, this paper investigates and compares the performance of information retrieval (IR) and machine learning (ML) methods, including deep learning, to approach the problem of identifying academic figures who are experts in different domains when a potential user requests their expertise. IR-based methods construct multifaceted textual profiles for each expert by clustering information from their scientific publications. Several methods fully tailored for this problem are presented in this paper. In contrast, ML-based methods treat expert finding as a classification task, training automatic text classifiers using publications authored by experts. By comparing these approaches, we contribute to a deeper understanding of academic-expert-finding techniques and their applicability in knowledge discovery. These methods are tested with two large datasets from the biomedical field: PMSC-UGR and CORD-19. A recommendation system serves as a distributed information filter, predicting customer preferences in reviews, ratings, and comments. Analysing customer behaviour aids in understanding needs and predicting intentions. E-commerce tracks product usage and sentiment to provide a personalized network based on consumer preference modelling. The challenge lies in optimizing item selection for suitable consumers to enhance performance. To address this, an imperative is the item recommendation approach for modelling future consumer behaviour. However, traditional machine learning methods often overlook dynamic product recommendations due to evolving user interests and changes in preferences reflected in customer ratings, causing cold-start issues. To overcome these challenges, a comprehensive deep learning approach is introduced. This approach incorporates a deep neural network for consumer preference prediction, utilizing a multi-task learning paradigm to accommodate variations in consumer ratings. The research contribution lies in applying this network to predict consumer preference scores based on latent multimodal information and item characteristics. Initially, the architecture manages changing consumer aspects and preferences by extracting features and latent factors from customer review rating data. These latent factors include customer demographic information and other concealed features that signify preferences based on experiences and behaviours. Extracted latent features are processed using a sentiment analysis model to generate embedding latent features. A finely-tuned deep neural network with hyper-parameter adjustments serves as a prediction network, forming a customer performance-oriented recommendation system. It processes embedded latent features along with associated sentiments to achieve high prediction accuracy, reliability, and latency. Due to their devastating ability to extract features, convolutional neural network (CNN)-based approaches have achieved tremendous success in hyperspectral image (HSI) classification. However, previous works have been dedicated to constructing deeper or wider deep learning networks to obtain exceptional classification performance, but as the layers get deeper, the gradient disappearance problem impedes the convergence stability of network models. Additionally, previous works usually focused on utilizing fixed-scale convolutional kernels or multiple available, receptive fields with varying scales to capture features, which leads to the underutilization of information and is vulnerable to feature learning. To remedy the above issues, we propose an innovative hybrid-scale feature enhancement network (HFENet) for HSI classification. Specifically, HFENet contains two key modules: a hybrid-scale feature extraction block (HFEB) and a shuffle attention enhancement block (SAEB). HFEB is designed to excavate spectral–spatial structure information of distinct scales, types, and branches, which can augment the multiplicity of spectral–spatial features while modeling the global long-range dependencies of spectral–spatial informative features. SAEB is devised to adaptively recalibrate spectral-wise and spatial-wise feature responses to generate the purified spectral–spatial information, which effectively filters redundant information and noisy pixels and is conducive to enhancing classification performance. Compared with several sophisticated baselines, a series of experiments conducted on three public hyperspectral datasets showed that the accuracies of OA, AA, and Kappa all exceed 99%, demonstrating that the presented HFENet achieves state-of-the-art performance. The cold start problem has always been a major challenge for recommender systems. It arises when the system lacks rating records for new users or items. Addressing the challenge of providing personalized recommendations in the cold start scenario is crucial. This research proposes a new hybrid recommender system named CoDFi-DL which combines demographic and enhanced collaborative filtering. The demographic filtering is performed through a deep neural network (DNN) and used to solve the new user cold start problem. The enhanced collaborative filtering component of our model focuses on delivering personalized recommendations through a neighborhood-based method. The major contribution in this research is the DNN-based demographic filtering which overcomes the new user cold start problem and enhances the collaborative filtering process. Our system significantly improves the relevancy of the recommendation task and thus provides personalized recommended items to cold users. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conducted experiments on real multi-label datasets, 1M and 100K MovieLens. CoDFi-DL recommender system showed higher performance in comparison with baseline methods, achieving lower RMSE rates of 0.5710 on the 1M MovieLens dataset and 0.6127 on the 100K MovieLens dataset. Aim/Purpose This study aims to evaluate the success of deep learning in building user profiles for personalized information access. Background To better express document content and information during the matching phase of the information retrieval (IR) process, deep learning architectures could potentially offer a feasible and optimal alternative to user profile building for personalized information access. Methodology This study uses deep learning-based models to deduce the domain of the document deemed implicitly relevant by a user that corresponds to their center of interest, and then used predicted domain by the best given architecture with user's characteristics to predict other centers of interest. Contribution This study contributes to the literature by considering the difference in vocabulary used to express document content and information needs. Users are integrated into all research phases in order to provide them with relevant information adapted to their context and their preferences meeting their precise needs. To better express document content and information during this phase, deep learning models are employed to learn complex representations of documents and queries. These models can capture hierarchical, sequential, or attention-based patterns in textual data. Deep learning technology has greatly propelled the development of intelligent and information-driven research on ship infrared automatic target recognition (SIATR). In future scenarios, there will be various recognition models with different mechanisms to choose from. However, in complex and dynamic environments, ship infrared (IR) data exhibit rich feature space distribution, resulting in performance variations among SIATR models, thus preventing the existence of a universally superior model for all recognition scenarios. In light of this, this study proposes a model-matching method for SIATR tasks based on bipartite graph theory. This method establishes evaluation criteria based on recognition accuracy and feature learning credibility, uncovering the underlying connections between IR attributes of ships and candidate models. The objective is to selectively recommend the optimal candidate model for a given sample, enhancing the overall recognition performance and applicability of the model. We separately conducted tests for the optimization of accuracy and credibility on high-fidelity simulation data, achieving Accuracy and EDMS (our credibility metric) of 95.86% and 0.7781. Our method improves by 1.06% and 0.0274 for each metric compared to the best candidate models (six in total). Subsequently, we created a recommendation system that balances two tasks, resulting in improvements of 0.43% (accuracy) and 0.0071 (EDMS). Additionally, considering the relationship between model resources and performance, we achieved a 28.35% reduction in memory usage while realizing enhancements of 0.33% (accuracy) and 0.0045 (EDMS). Nowadays, the volume of online information is growing and it is difficult to find the required information. Effective strategies such as recommender systems are required to overcome information overload. Collaborative filtering is a widely used type of recommender system in e-commerce environments and can simply provide suggestions for users. Recently, deep learning approaches were applied in collaborative filtering to tackle some drawbacks. This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive review of recent research efforts on deep learning-based collaborative filtering recommender systems. We explain the research methodology and paper selection process and the search query. 102 papers are selected out of 719 papers that were published between 2019 and May 2023. Furthermore, the approaches in the selected papers are classified into two main categories: memory-based and model-based techniques. The main ideas, advantages, disadvantages, used tools, type of neural network, applications, and evaluation parameters of each selected paper are also discussed in detail. It was found that CNN (Convolutional Neural Network), AE (Autoencoder), DNN (Deep neural network), and Hybrid networks are the four mostly used neural networks in recommender systems. Also, Python, MATLAB, and Java are the most frequently used tools in the reviewed papers. Regarding the applications of the recommender systems in the reviewed papers, movies, products, and music recommendation are three most frequent applications. A recommendation system (RS) can help overcome information overload issues by offering personalized predictions for users. Typically, RS considers the overall ratings of users on items to generate recommendations for them. However, users may consider several aspects when evaluating items. Hence, a multi-criteria RS considers n-aspects of items to generate more accurate recommendations than a single-criteria RS. This research paper proposes two deep encoder–decoder models based on shared learning for a multi-criteria RS, multi-modal deep encoder–decoder-based shared learning (MMEDSL) and multi-criteria deep encoder–decoder-based shared learning (MCEDSL). MMEDSL employs the shared learning technique by concentrating on the multi-modality concept in deep learning, while MCEDSL focuses on the training process to apply the shared learning technique. The shared learning captures useful shared information during the learning process since the multi-criteria may have hidden inter-relationships. A set of experiments were conducted to compare the proposed models with recent baseline approaches. The Yahoo! Movies multi-criteria dataset was utilized. The results demonstrate that the proposed models outperform other algorithms. In an age of big data and information overload, recommendation systems have evolved rapidly. Throughout the traditional design of interior spaces, the specialised nature of the work and the high rate of human involvement has led to high costs. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, it provides a favourable environment for reducing the development cost of the system. This study proposes a two-stage modelling scheme based on deep learning networks for the intelligent design of display space layouts, divided into two parts: matching and layout, which greatly improves design efficiency. The research results show that through comparison tests, its prediction accuracy reaches more than 80%, which can well meet the matching requirements of household products. The training number of Epochs is between 15 and 30, its training curve tends to saturate and the best accuracy can reach 100%, while the running time of the hybrid algorithm proposed in this study is only 20.716 s, which is significantly better compared with other algorithms. The proposed hybrid algorithm has a running time of only 20.716 s, which is significantly better than other algorithms. The approach innovatively combines deep learning technology with computer-aided design (CAD), enabling designers to automatically generate display space layouts with good visibility and usability based on complex design constraints. Deep learning is employed in many applications, such as computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, and recommender systems. Large and complex neural networks lead to high accuracy; however, they adversely affect many aspects of deep learning performance, such as training time, latency, throughput, energy consumption, and memory usage in the training and inference stages. To solve these challenges, various optimization techniques and frameworks have been developed for the efficient performance of deep learning models in the training and inference stages. Although optimization techniques such as quantization have been studied thoroughly in the past, less work has been done to study the performance of frameworks that provide quantization techniques. In this paper, we have used different performance metrics to study the performance of various quantization frameworks, including TensorFlow automatic mixed precision and TensorRT. These performance metrics include training time and memory utilization in the training stage along with latency and throughput for graphics processing units (GPUs) in the inference stage. We have applied the automatic mixed precision (AMP) technique during the training stage using the TensorFlow framework, while for inference we have utilized the TensorRT framework for the post-training quantization technique using the TensorFlow TensorRT (TF-TRT) application programming interface (API).We performed model profiling for different deep learning models, datasets, image sizes, and batch sizes for both the training and inference stages, the results of which can help developers and researchers to devise and deploy efficient deep learning models for GPUs. The increased usage of the internet and social networks generates a large volume of information. Exploring through the large collection is time-consuming and hard to find the required one, so there is a serious need for a recommendation system. Based on this context several movie recommendation (MR) systems have been recently established. In addition, they have poor data analytics capability and cannot handle changing user preferences. As a result, there are many movies listed on the recommendation page, which provides for a poor user experience is the major issue. Therefore, in this work, a novel Taymon Optimized Deep Learning network (TODL net) for recommending top best movies based on their past choices, behaviour and movie contents. The deep neural network is a combination of Dilated CNN with Bi-directional LSTM. The DiCNN-BiLSTM model eliminates the functionality pooling operations and uses a dilated convolution layer to address the issue of information loss. The DiCNN is employed to learn the movie contents by mining user behavioral pattern attributes. The BiLSTM is applied to recommend the best movies on basis of the extracted features of the movie rating sequences of users in other social mediums. Moreover, for providing better results the DiCNN-BiLSTM is optimized with Taymon optimization algorithm to recommend best movies for the users. The dress of a person can provide information like culture, status, gender, and personality. Dress classification can help us improve e-commerce, image-based search engines for the fashion industry, video surveillance, and social media image categorization. Deep learning is emerging as one of the most powerful classification techniques in many fields like medicine, business, and science. In the fashion industry, Convolutional Neural Networks have played a vital role in dress identification classification, but it is still a difficult task due to cluttered backgrounds, different poses, and lack of fashion datasets with rich classes and annotations. To complement the small-sized datasets, transfer learning is being widely used in training deep learning models. Current research applies transfer learning in two steps on the InceptionV3 model pre-trained on the ImageNet dataset. First, the pre-trained model is fine-tuned on DeepFashion dataset to transfer the domain of learned parameters toward fashion. In the second step, the model is fine-tuned on Pak Dataset a collection of Asian cultural fashion images having cluttered backgrounds. Experiments show the robustness and usefulness of two-step transfer learning in the classification of fashion images having cluttered backgrounds. To address the problem of insufficient recommendation performance in session recommendation, this paper proposed a disentangled graph neural network model (GDST-GNN) using global graph diffusion and spatio-temporal awareness. Specifically, the model firstly constructed a global collaborative graph based on all sessions from a global perspective, and then employed graph diffusion as the message propagation paradigm for global representation learning of items to capture global information be- yond the current session. For the representation learning of the current session, this paper designed a disentangled spatio-temporal gated network modeling the complex transition pattern and temporal dependency pattern of items in the session, and then fused the learned global and local representations factor by factor. In addition, this paper employed a self-supervised task to achieve performance enhancement of the model. Finally, it generated session representations through attention networks to achieve accurate recommendation of items. Deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) have shown remarkable performance in image classification tasks in recent years. In the network structure of DPRN, as the network depth increases, the number of convolutional kernels also increases linearly or nonlinearly. On the one hand, in the DPRN block, the size of the receptive field is only 3 × 3, which results in insufficient network ability to extract feature map information of different filter sizes. On the other hand, the number of convolution kernels in the second 1x1 convolution will be multiplied by a coefficient relative to the first convolution, which can cause overfitting to some extent. In order to overcome these weaknesses, we introduce the inception-like structure on the basis of the DPRN network which is called by pyramid inceptional residual networks (PIRN). In addition, we also discuss the performance of PIRN network with squeeze and excitation (SE) mechanism and regularization term. Furthermore, some results in network performance are discussed when adding a stochastic depth networkto the PIRN model. Compared to DPRN, PIRN achieved better results on the CIFAR10, CIFAR100, and Mini-ImageNet datasets. In the case of using zero-padding, the multiplicative PIRN with SE mechanism achieves the best result of 95.01% on the CIFAR10 dataset. Meanwhile, on the CIFAR100 and Mini-ImageNet datasets, the additive PIRN network with a network depth of 92 achieves the best results of 76.06% and 65.86%, respectively. According to the experimental results, our method has achieved better accuray than that of DPRN with same network settings which demonstrate its effectiveness in generalization ability. Analysing and predicting medical data provides awareness to users and these data predictions may be enriched using various techniques of RS. Machine learning techniques are used to make sure that health data is reliable and of high quality. In every RS the issues are targeted such as scalability, sparsity and cold start problems. In many social networking applications, these issues are resolved using ML algorithms. However, there is a significant gap between IT systems and medical diagnosis. The fuzzy genetic method is used in HCRS in order to bridge the gap between IT and healthcare applications. Through the use of the mutation and crossover operators, a real-value genetic method is used in this to compute similarity. With the user's extra personalized information, fuzzy rules are later generated for the database. The Hybrid fuzzy-genetic method, also known as this situation, combines both techniques to improve recommendation quality. Utilizing this method will improve the quality of the recommendation process by discovering the most precise similarity measures among different users. Six factors are subjected to fuzzification, including age, gender, employment, height, weight, and region. Genre-interesting measure weights are then used, including Very Light, Light, Average, Heavy, and Very Heavy. Recommendation systems (RS) are crucial for social networking sites. Without it, finding precise products is harder. However, existing systems lack adequate efficiency, especially with big data. This paper presents a prototype cloud-based recommendation system for processing big data. The proposed work is implemented by utilizing the matrix factorization method with three approaches. In the first approach, singular value decomposition (SVD) is used, which is an old and traditional recommendation technique. The second recommendation approach is fine-tuned using the alternating least squares (ALS) algorithm with Apache Spark. Finally, the deep neural network (DNN) algorithm is utilized with TensorFlow. This study solves the challenge of handling large-scale datasets in the collaborative filtering (CF) technique after tuning the algorithms by adjusting the parameters in the second approach, which uses machine learning, as well as in the third approach, which uses deep learning. Furthermore, the results of these two approaches outperformed conventional techniques and achieved an acceptable computational time. The dataset size is about 1.5 GB and it is collected from the Goodreads website API. The musical key serves as a crucial element in a piece, offering vital insights into the tonal center, harmonic structure, and chord progressions while enabling tasks such as transposition and arrangement. Moreover, accurate key estimation finds practical applications in music recommendation systems and automatic music transcription, making it relevant across academic and industrial domains. This paper presents a comprehensive comparison between standard deep learning architectures and emerging vision transformers, leveraging their success in various domains. We evaluate their performance on a specific subset of the GTZAN dataset, analyzing six different deep learning models. Our results demonstrate that DenseNet, a conventional deep learning architecture, achieves remarkable accuracy of 91.64%, outperforming vision transformers. However, we delve deeper into the analysis to shed light on the temporal characteristics of each deep learning model. Notably, the vision transformer and SWIN transformer exhibit a slight decrease in overall performance (1.82% and 2.29%, respectively), yet they demonstrate superior performance in temporal metrics compared to the DenseNet architecture. The significance of our findings lies in their contribution to the field of musical key estimation, where accurate and efficient algorithms play a pivotal role. In this paper, we describe a review concerning the Quantum Computing (QC) and Deep Learning (DL) areas and their applications in Computational Intelligence (CI). Quantum algorithms (QAs), engage the rules of quantum mechanics to solve problems using quantum information, where the quantum information is concerning the state of a quantum system, which can be manipulated using quantum information algorithms and other processing techniques. Nowadays, many QAs have been proposed, whose general conclusion is that using the effects of quantum mechanics results in a significant speedup (exponential, polynomial, super polynomial) over the traditional algorithms. This implies that some complex problems currently intractable with traditional algorithms can be solved with QA. On the other hand, DL algorithms offer what is known as machine learning techniques. DL is concerned with teaching a computer to filter inputs through layers to learn how to predict and classify information. Observations can be in the form of plain text, images, or sound. This paper develops a cost-effective sequential route recommender system to provide real-time routing recommendations for vacant taxis searching for the next passenger. We propose a prediction-and-optimization framework to recommend the searching route that maximizes the expected profit of the next successful passenger pickup based on the dynamic taxi demand-supply distribution. Specifically, this system features a deep learning-based predictor that dynamically predicts the passenger pickup probability on a road segment and a recursive searching algorithm that recommends the optimal searching route. The predictor integrates a graph convolution network (GCN) to capture the spatial distribution and a long short-term memory (LSTM) to capture the temporal dynamics of taxi demand and supply. The GCN-LSTM model can accurately predict the pickup probability on a road segment with the consideration of potential taxi oversupply. Then, the dynamic distribution of pickup probability is fed into the route optimization algorithm to recommend the optimal searching routes sequentially as route inquiries emerge in the system. The recursion tree-based route optimization algorithm can significantly reduce the computational time and provide the optimal routes within seconds for real-time implementation. Finally, extensive experiments using Beijing Taxi GPS data demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed recommender system. Predicting cellular responses to perturbations is an unsolved problem in biology. Traditional approaches assume that different cell types respond similarly to perturbations. However, this assumption does not take into account the context of genome interactions in different cell types, which leads to compromised prediction quality. More recently, deep learning models used to discover gene–gene relationships can yield more accurate predictions of cellular responses. The huge difference in biological information between different cell types makes it difficult for deep learning models to encode data into a continuous low-dimensional feature space, which means that the features captured by the latent space may not be continuous. Therefore, the mapping relationship between the two conditional spaces learned by the model can only be applied where the real reference data resides, leading to the wrong mapping of the predicted target cells because they are not in the same domain as the reference data. In this paper, we propose an information-navigated variational autoencoder (INVAE), a deep neural network for cell perturbation response prediction. INVAE filters out information that is not conducive to predictive performance. For the remaining information, INVAE constructs a homogeneous space of control conditions, and finds the mapping relationship between the control condition space and the perturbation condition space. By embedding the target unit into the control space and then mapping it to the perturbation space, we can predict the perturbed state of the target unit. Comparing our proposed method with other three state-of-the-art methods on three real datasets, experimental results show that INVAE outperforms existing methods in cell state prediction after perturbation. Furthermore, we demonstrate that filtering out useless information not only improves prediction accuracy but also reveals similarities in how genes in different cell types are regulated following perturbation. Reciprocal Recommender Systems (RRS) aim to recommend relevant matches to users based on the mutual agreement of their preferences. Explainability of reciprocal recommendations is important for developing a persuasive reciprocal recommender system, since it can improve the effectiveness and credibility of the reciprocal recommendation results. Explainable RRS provide an explanation highlighting why a recommendation would be relevant to the user. Explaining the rationale behind predictions with textual or visual artifacts help in increasing trustworthiness and transparency of the system which is crucial especially for models that are used in critical decision making. In this work, XSiameseBiGRU-UCB, a deep learning contextual bandits framework with post-hoc argumentation based explanations for RRS is proposed. XSiameseBiGRU-UCB is an explainable Siamese neural network-based framework that provides explanations to justify the generated reciprocal recommendations for both the parties involved. In RRS, dilemma between exploitation and exploration requires identifying the best possible recommendation from known information or collecting more information about the environment while generating reciprocal recommendations. To tackle this, we propose to use a contextual bandit policy with upper confidence bound, which adaptively exploits and explores user interests to achieve increased rewards in the long run. Recommender systems play a vital role in discovering contents of interest to users in this information explosion era. However, traditional recommender systems only consider user immediate feedback and tend to recommend similar items according to users' historical interactions. Moreover, in real-world online applications, they lack sufficient user interaction data. In this paper, we propose a novel interactive recommender system by using deep reinforcement learning, which can take both user immediate rewards and future rewards into account. In order to tackle the effect of interaction data insufficiency on recommendation performance, we leverage the knowledge and relation information among items in external knowledge graphs to enrich the item embedding. We concatenate the user representation and user top-l latest historical interactions as the state and feed into the Bi-LSTM model to capture user dynamic preferences. Chronic diseases are increasingly major threats to older persons, seriously affecting their physical health and well-being. Hospitals have accumulated a wealth of health-related data, including patients' test reports, treatment histories, and diagnostic records, to better understand patients' health, safety, and disease progression. Extracting relevant information from this data enables physicians to provide personalized patient-treatment recommendations. While collaborative filtering techniques and classical algorithms such as naive Bayes, logistic regression, and decision trees have had notable success in health-recommendation systems, most current systems primarily inform users of their likely preferences without providing explanations. This paper proposes an approach of deep learning with a local interpretable model–agnostic explanations (LIME)-based interpretable recommendation system to solve this problem. Specifically, we apply the proposed approach to two chronic diseases common in older adults: heart disease and diabetes. After data preprocessing, we use six deep-learning algorithms to form interpretations. In the heart-disease data set, the actual model recommendation of multi-layer perceptron and gradient-boosting algorithm differs from the local model's recommendation of LIME, which can be used as its approximate prediction. From the feature importance of these two algorithms, it can be seen that the CholCheck, GenHith, and HighBP features are the most important for predicting heart disease. In the diabetes data set, the actual model predictions of the multi-layer perceptron and logistic-regression algorithm were little different from the local model's prediction of LIME, which can be used as its approximate recommendation. Moreover, from the feature importance of the two algorithms, it can be seen that the three features of glucose, BMI, and age were the most important for predicting heart disease. Next, LIME is used to determine the importance of each feature that affected the results of the calculated model. Subsequently, we present the contribution coefficients of these features to the final recommendation. By analyzing the impact of different patient characteristics on the recommendations, our proposed system elucidates the underlying reasons behind these recommendations and enhances patient trust. Various aquatic diseases occur frequently in recent years, particularly with the rapid development of the aquaculture industry. Once these diseases spread very rapidly, a very serious risk can be put on aquaculture. Furthermore, the network data of aquatic diseases also presents highly dispersed, multi-source heterogeneous features with the development of Internet technology. It is a high demand to rapidly and accurately obtain the required information, due to the explosive growth of network data. However, traditional information acquisition cannot fully meet the search engines. The retrieval keywords or shallow semantic analysis can bring a large number of related web links, leading to vague and redundant answers. The intelligent Q&A system can be selected to support the users' natural language input, and then accurately capture the user intent, finally returning concise and accurate answers. Among them, the emergence and rapid development of knowledge graphs can provide a high-quality knowledge base for intelligent question-answering systems, in order to promote the application of question-answering systems in various fields. The knowledge graph construction can be divided mainly into four steps: data acquisition, ontology construction, knowledge extraction and storage. Firstly, the crawler technology is used to obtain the relevant aquatic disease data, and then data preprocessing can be performed, including data cleaning and analysis. Secondly, the aquatic diseases ontology can be constructed using the data content and representation characteristics, in order to predefine the relations and properties types between entities. As such, the boundaries of knowledge extraction are clarified during this time. Secondly, the rule logic can be used to extract the semi-structured data. The entity and relation joint extraction is then used to extract unstructured data. Finally, the extracted triple data is stored in the Neo4j graph database, in order to realize the visual management of the knowledge graph and a certain degree of knowledge reasoning. In this study, a new text annotation system of "aquatic disease + relationship +BMES" was proposed in the unstructured knowledge. The relationship extraction was also integrated into the named entity recognition task. Then, the ternary model was directly constructed to transform the entity relationship extraction into sequence annotation, in order to improve the annotation efficiency at least twice for the joint extraction of entity and relationship. At the same time, the triplet data was obtained for the triplet-building module using label matching and mapping. The overlapping relation extraction was then solved in this case. The BERT-BiLSTM+CRF end-to-end model was used to carry out the test. The test results showed that the triad extraction shared a high recall rate (89.64%), accuracy (94.04%), and F1 (91.34%), which was significantly better than CNN+BiLSTM+CRF and BiLSTM+CRF models. The extracted knowledge was stored in the Neo4j graph database, and then realized knowledge visualization management and knowledge reasoning analysis. The aquatic disease knowledge map presented high precision and fine granularity. The finding can provide a new idea for the field of intelligent Q&A. Anyway, the semi-automatic construction of a knowledge graph can also offer technical support for the recommendation system, knowledge base construction, search and application knowledge base construction. This paper proposes a recommendation system based on a hybrid learning approach for a personal deep sleep service, called the Customized Deep Sleep Recommender System (CDSRS). Sleep is one of the most important factors for human life in modern society. Optimal sleep contributes to increasing work efficiency and controlling overall well-being. Therefore, a sleep recommendation service is considered a necessary service for modern individuals. Accurate sleep analysis and data are required to provide such a personalized sleep service. However, given the variations in sleep patterns between individuals, there is currently no international standard for sleep. Additionally, service platforms face a cold start problem when dealing with new users. To address these challenges, this study utilizes K-means clustering analysis to define sleep patterns and employs a hybrid learning algorithm to evaluate recommendations by combining user-based and collaborative filtering methods. It also incorporates feedback top-N classification processing for user profile learning and recommendations. The behavior of the study model is as follows. Using personal information received through mobile devices and data, such as snoring, sleep time, movement, and noise collected through AI motion beds, we recommend sleep and receive user evaluations of recommended sleep. This assessment reconstructs the profile and, finally, makes recommendations using top-N classification. The experimental results were evaluated using two absolute error measurement methods: mean squared error (MSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The research results regarding the hybrid learning methods show 13.2% fewer errors than collaborative filtering (CF) and 10.2% fewer errors than content-based filtering (CBF) on an MSE basis. According to the MAPE, the methods are 14.7% more accurate than the CF model and 9.2% better than the CBF model. These results demonstrate that CDSRS systems can provide more accurate recommendations and customized sleep services to users than CF, CBF, and combination models. As a result, CDSRS, a hybrid learning method, can better reflect a user's evaluation than traditional methods and can increase the accuracy of recommendations as the number of users increases. In order to enhance the performance of recommendation systems that support attack detection algorithms, we have designed a novel approach based on deep learning. Specifically, our algorithm focuses on improving convergence, user scoring accuracy, algorithm efficiency, and detection accuracy. To achieve this, we first construct a preliminary user rating matrix, which is optimised by incorporating the user preference word matrix and the weight of the preference word. Additionally, we adjust the size of the matrix using principal component analysis. Next, we construct a deep, bidirectional RNN model based on the deep learning network. This model is then combined with the user scoring matrix to identify the type of user. In the case of abnormal or false users, our algorithm is able to identify the recommendation system's support attack through the detection results. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm. Specifically, our approach achieves fast convergence speeds, with the loss value remaining low throughout the process. Moreover, we achieve high average accuracy in user scoring, with a score of 97.14%. The detection time of the recommendation system support attack is also consistently lower than 0.7 s. Furthermore, our approach achieves an average accuracy of 98.09% in the detection of recommendation system support attacks. Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce that enables customers to purchase products directly from the seller over the internet using a web browser or a mobile application. With the growing number of research papers on Deep Learning (DL)-based recommendations, DL models have proven to be effective in Recommender systems. Hence in this paper, relevant product accessories recommendation is proposed using deep learning and histogram features. The proposed recommendation describes the novel way of content-based filtering which divides the work into two phases. In phase 1, the implemented approach determines the color and category of the product. In phase 2, the recommendation system retrieves the matching accessories for the chosen product. For phase 1, Decision Tree, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Naïve Bayes, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and a novel method of Stack dense Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) along with the color histogram is applied to identify the category and color of the product. It is justified that the proposed technique of stack dense RNN achieves 98% accuracy. In phase 2, from the Machine Learning (ML) perspective, Random Forest (RF) is employed for the recommendation. Recommendation to groups of users is a challenging subfield of recommendation systems. Its key concept is how and where to make the aggregation of each set of user information into an individual entity, such as a ranked recommendation list, a virtual user, or a multi-hot input vector encoding. This paper proposes an innovative strategy where aggregation is made in the multi-hot vector that feeds the neural network model. The aggregation provides a probabilistic semantic, and the resulting input vectors feed a model that is able to conveniently generalize the group recommendation from the individual predictions. Furthermore, using the proposed architecture, group recommendations can be obtained by simply feedforwarding the pre-trained model with individual ratings; that is, without the need to obtain datasets containing group of user information, and without the need of running two separate trainings (individual and group). This approach also avoids maintaining two different models to support both individual and group learning. Experiments have tested the proposed architecture using three representative collaborative filtering datasets and a series of baselines; results show suitable accuracy improvements compared to the state of the art. Personalized points-of-interest (POI) recommendation is very important for improving the service quality of location-based social network applications. It has become one of the most popular research directions in the industry and academia. However, the realization of high-quality personalized POI recommendation faces three major challenges: (i) the interest drift issue caused by the spatiotemporal dynamics of user check-in behavior, (ii) how to integrate as much heterogeneous information as possible to alleviate data sparseness and cold start issues, and (iii) how to use implicit feedback to model complex high-order nonlinear user-POI interactions. To jointly address all these challenges, we propose the TGVx recommendation framework and establish a dynamic personalized POI deep recommendation model, where T and G respectively represent time and geographic factors, V represents out-of-town visitors, and x represents time slot number. TGVx is composed of x parallel TGV models where the TG module mines high-order nonlinear user-POI interaction relationships and integrates multisource heterogeneous information, and the V module transfers the check-in records of out-of-town visitors in hometowns and generates pseudo check-in records in the target city. Technically, we design a new unsupervised deep learning network T-SemiDAE for the TG module. We built a POI-word heterogeneous network for the V module and used graph embedding technology to match the most similar POIs across cities and transfer check-in records. The experimental results on the actual datasets show that the TGVx model is always better than other advanced models in terms of accuracy and diversity for local and out-of-town recommendation scenarios. Compared with the best baseline model semi-deep auto-encoder with a conditional layer the average improvement rates of accuracy and diversity of TGVx are 17.1% to 58.6% and 2.25% to 28.86%, respectively. In theory, our research effectively uses data science and analysis methods to design a recommender system. In practice, our research is motivated by practical problems, and the research results have high practical promotion value. Music has been a means of emotional expression throughout human history. Different cultures and times have offered unique ways of expressing the emotions experienced by individuals through music. Technological advancements have greatly enhanced our interaction with music, making access easier thanks to digital platforms. While traditional music recommendation systems are based on the user's listening habits, this study aims to provide music recommendations by evaluating the user's immediate emotional state. We utilize a CNN-based emotion recognition system for this purpose. This model predicts one of seven emotions by analyzing facial images. The results of the Confusion Matrix (CM) in the training phase indicate that the model is proficient at classifying emotions. ROC curve analysis shows the model's high capability in emotion prediction. Notably, the model's overall accuracy stands at 92.7%, highlighting its effectiveness.
