Art and science and technology are two different ways people understand and reflect the objective world. The mutual penetration of science, technology, and art has promoted the development of art and the innovation of forms. Technology has become the carrier of social and cultural exchanges and spiritual world exchanges for artists, providing new ideas for modern art. In recent years, with the active development of various new media technologies, new media technologies represented by image technology and digital technology have gradually developed and are closely integrated with various fields. With the development and progress of image and digital technology, digital painting technology has had a great impact on the field of artistic creation. Of course, oil painting creation in the field of art has also encountered unprecedented challenges. This article introduces various functional methods in digital painting technology, and also introduces the preparation method of graphene graphite for printing. And through experiments, graphite with good performance was prepared, which showed that when ethylene glycol was used as a solvent and the mass fraction of graphene was 37.5%, the performance of the ink was relatively best. Finally, this paper designs a digital painting system and compares it with ordinary digital painting systems. It is concluded that the average satisfaction of painters in the designed system is 1.5 points higher than that of ordinary ones. This proposition acknowledged education, artistic process, and inspirations based on the explored medium, focusing on the concept and contextual analysis of Zarina Hashmi's works. As Zarina Hashmi had always been interested in space and its adventures, her minimalist artwork draws inspiration from Urdu poetry. Although Zarina's works give the impression that this language hides in a blank and that frames conceal themselves beneath lines and boundaries. The most recognizable geometry was created on the surface of cast paper sculptures, drawings, and prints; the simple, dramatic, and enigmatic outcomes were more aesthetically expressed. This research paper is centered on the development of visual art, qualitative analysis, and empirical art practices. Her work questions the boundaries, delimitations, and navigation of familiar spaces like "country" and "home," as well as the emotions and memories that evoke enduring imprints in the minds of viewers. Decades of decline, disinvestment, and racism have left Detroit with an abundance of abandoned buildings, ruins, vacant lots, and illicit trash dumps. Though these structures and materials might have forfeited their previous purposes, they can act as catalysts, substances, and co-creators of artworks. The paper is thus interested in examining the intricate interplay between art, space, and materiality in Detroit further. Drawing from the practices of local artists Olayami Dabls and Scott Hocking, the paper adopts a new materialist framework to investigate the dynamic agency of matter in the artistic process. By considering materials as active participants in the production of art and space, the paper seeks to add to the emerging interest in the emancipation and meaning making of material in art as well as cultural geography's engagements with new materialism. The objective of this paper is to present, to those neophyte researchers, a set of hints that facilitate manuscript writing and publishing processes needed for high class scientific journals. In the scientific community, a research would only be completed when the results are shared through papers in peer-reviewed journals that guarantees the originality, importance and scientific validation of reported contributions. Consequently, researchers have the necessity to develop skills and abilities in scientific writing. However, the manuscript preparation process from the initial phase to the final publication is usually slow and difficult, due to some key factors having infiuence over its quality. In this paper, we present general guidelines about manuscript preparation and we give some hints about good scientific writing practices. The aim of these hints is easing the review done by the peer-reviewers in the evaluation process. In this sense, this work contributes to the newcomers in scientific research socialization. The article offers information on the works on paper and visible collective of artist Jenny Perlin. In Perlin's "Addendum," a series of ten watercolor drawings on vellum and paper, the cellular phone is highlighted in the opening drawing. The drawing, entitled "Red Phone," functions to open a visual conversation between Perlin and Visible Collective/Naeem Mohaiemen and Aimara Lin about the lack of reconciliation between materiality and spirit and between different languages. "Addendum" also functions on different registers depending on one's approach or entry into the work.

The article examines the works of German artist Thomas Demand to show the unusual way in which art works present a certain kind of truth that comes from the knowledge of the artist. Demand photographs life-size reconstructions of interiors that are made from colored paper. The photographs tend to delude the viewer into thinking it is the real thing. It is pointed out that the works of Demand demonstrate his extraordinary skill and mastery of the medium.

This paper explores a paradigm shift in work culture in the contemporary art sector due to digital transition and the introduction of AI. New ways of working with AI and digital software are embedded and normalized in everyday Chinese artistic practices. This work includes new forms of creativity and efficiency, yet, simultaneously includes new types of digital labour. This paper conceptualizes this as "digital art work," which draws attention to the often-overlooked aspects of artists' work, particularly their everyday artistic practices that increasingly include digital software and AI. What is the role and position of the artist in an environment where digital software and AI are becoming more central in artistic creation? How do artists creatively (mis)use AI? What does this paradigm shift in work culture mean for the future of the artist's role and the future of the contemporary art sector? This paper draws on 48 semi-structured interviews with visual artists and arts professionals, including painters, sculptors, mixed-media, and internet artists as well as contemporary art gallery owners, museum project directors, curators, and culture policymakers living and working in China during 2023. The findings show how Chinese artists are mastering AI and opening up new spaces for creativity and how the contemporary art sector in China has already transitioned to a new "digital way" in artistic creation. These findings can help to create policy around AI globally and provide solutions for the sustainability of the artist profession and the future of the contemporary art sector. The article states that moralists and millers alike grinded away an epoch when the world of letters was inconceivable without paper, and when paper, though the source material was in perpetual short supply, could not be made without rag. Even paper and bread were not much different in composition, being in both cases vegetable stripped from the stalk and either cooked or dried; and the machinery that made them both was sometimes to be found under the same roof, millstone and masher blades in adjoining sheds, turned by the same gear and driven by the same wind or pure water.

This paper examined seventy-one "Hyakki Yagyō Emaki" ("Night Parade of One Hundred Demons" Picture Scroll; Demons Scroll) and estimated the artistic editing process using a digital humanities approach. The edit distance was used to illustrate the lineage trees of Demons Scrolls, focusing on the arrangement of the demons in the procession. The author concluded that a type of scroll depicted the demon arrangement closest to the prototype of the renowned Shinjuan lineage scrolls. By numbering the demons in the procession, the author contributed quantitative evidence to the ongoing iconographical interpretation debate. The paper ends with a discussion of new questions regarding Demons Scrolls that have arisen as a result of this research. Research Purposes. The performance characteristics of traditional digital media art have been gradually accepted by people, which is not innovative enough for people, so this paper mainly studies the design performance characteristics of a new digital media art design relying on computer technology. Research Method. This paper analyzes the concept and characteristics of digital media art based on the relevant theory of computer, combined with computer-aided technology and IRT theory. This paper finally designs the digital media art form based on computer technology. This paper also designs the USB trace feature extraction experiment, computer technology development investigation, and experimental test, and finally optimizes by analyzing the data obtained from the experiment. In order to verify the difference between the representation designed in this paper and the traditional representation, this paper also designs a set of control experiments. Research Result. The results show that the expression of artistic creation based on the digital media art expression designed in this paper is 14.12% higher than that of the traditional artistic expression. However, the innovative effect of the artistic creation based on the digital media art expression designed in this paper is 20.27% higher than that of the traditional expression. Additive manufacturing (AM) is a field with both industrial and academic significance. Computer-aided optimisation has brought advances to this field over the years, but challenges and areas of improvement still remain. Design to execution inaccuracies, void formation, material anisotropy, and surface quality are examples of remaining challenges. These challenges can be improved via some of the trending optimisation topics, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML); STL correction, replacement, or removal; slicing algorithms; and simulations. This paper reviews AM and its history with a special focus on the printing process and how it can be optimised using computer software. The most important new contribution is a survey of the present challenges connected with the prevailing optimisation topics. This can be seen as a foundation for future research. Paper packaging is favored by manufacturers in various industries due to its advantages such as economy and environmental friendliness, and the application of paper packaging in various types of products is also becoming increasingly popular. However, with the growth of the national economy and the increasing purchasing power of the people, consumers not only have higher requirements for the functionality of products, but also have higher requirements for the visual effect of product packaging. Based on the potential consumption trend of "looking for things", enterprises need to further strengthen the artistic design effect when using paper packaging, promoting the unity of practicality and aesthetics of paper packaging. Pattern design art, as a component of graphic design art, is mainly based on pattern modeling to convey artistic concepts and aesthetic temperament. Integrating pattern design art into the process of paper packaging design can effectively enhance the artistic value of paper packaging, thereby adding color to products. The pattern design quality evaluation is a classical multi-attribute decision making (MADM). In this paper, the MADM methodology is investigated based on cross-entropy (CE) method under interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) for pattern design quality evaluation. First of all, this paper extends the CE method under the IVIFSs to propose the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy number cross-entropy (IVIFN-CE) method, it enlarges the application range of the CE method. Secondly, a new MADM model for pattern design quality evaluation based on IVIFN-CE algorithm is proposed. In this algorithm, attribute weight is calculated by CRITIC method which is a well-known objective method. At the end of this study, we noticed to a comparison between the proposed IVIFN-CE approach with other existing methods to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The traditional public art education model has many drawbacks. After all, this teaching model is the most common teaching model. Most colleges and universities still rely on the traditional teaching mode. This teaching mode is not attractive, boring, and low cost, so the popularity rate is high. The digital interactive design with multimedia courseware as the main body has played a great role in promoting the teaching of public art education in colleges and universities. In this paper, when teachers use multimedia courseware for teaching, because the computer cannot process physical signals, part of the hardware is a converter that converts physical signals such as light and pictures received by the CMOS sensor into digital signals and inputs them to digital signals and analog signals. Through the converter, the two-way transmission of teacher and student information in the teaching process of public art majors from the perspective of diversified public art was realized. At the same time, the information elements of sound, image and text were integrated into the interactive works of public art majors from the perspective of diverse public art, so as to stimulate students' interest in public art learning. Combined with the application of CMOS image sensor technology in diversified public art teaching, a questionnaire survey was conducted to explore the satisfaction of students in public art education and teaching of colleges and universities by CMOS image sensor technology, 50% of the students agreed with the proposal in this article. In this paper, the diversified public art teaching based on CMOS image sensor technology was derived outside the classroom, and the teaching was related to students' life, so as to improve the artistic atmosphere of the campus and truly improve the teaching effect of public art education in colleges and universities. The funeral rite, locally called oshwue-aji, is a funeral condolence outing among the Nsukka Igbo of Southeastern Nigeria. It features performances, enlivened with art objects and costumes. It is imbued with remarkable social significance. This paper examines varying performances and costumes associated with the oshwue-aji rite. The condolence trip displays exquisitely crafted bracelets, pendants, clothing, and other fashion accessories worn by the bereaved – children, daughters, sons, as well as daughters' and sons’ in-laws with their spouses. Relying on Paul Horwich's use theory of meaning, this paper discusses the distinctive nature of these visual art objects to understand their symbolic and social functions. It equally presents the phenomenon of oshwue-aji, directed towards understanding the nature of sociality these incorporated artistic dimensions generate within the social space per time. Interviews and personal observations were relied on for data collection from people performing the oshwue-aji rite because they are bereaved. Being a qualitative study, the art forms and related objects that constitute the data were analyzed descriptively. Beyond serving to epitomize vivacity and gaiety, these artistic creations remain an orchestration to appreciate, publicize, and promote. The author's experience of emigration makes visible - in literary works and public speeches - one of the aspects of multilingualism as not only a consequence of migration and globalization, but also of the concept of metamultilingualism which contributes to expanding of our understanding of linguistic dynamics in literary production. Through selected literary texts and interviews with the Slovak-Swiss author Irena Brežná, the paper outlines the concept of metamultilingualism and literary multilingualism as one of the characteristics of the "new" world literature. Metamultilingualism as a generator of literary multilingualism is presented through the definition by Elke Sturm-Trigonakis and through its realisation in the form of linguistic commentary. The paper also takes a look at the reflection of languages in I. Brežná's writing as one of the frameworks of her work and a part of the literary process. At the same time, it looks at the concept of monolingualism as an artificial construct and multilingualism as a natural social condition as outlined in the theory of Yasemina Yildiz and Till Dembeck. In the analysis of the internal plane of the text, the article relies on the concept of manifest, latent, and excluded multilingualism, systematically elaborated by Natalia Blum-Barth, who, like Immacolata Amode, sees multilingualism as intratextual. This paper speaks on certain environmental problems in Nigeria and the interest here is on eco-aesthetics and the communication of environmental issues. Although eco-problems have become globally endemic, the inclination of many Nigerians has predisposed them to negative environmental conditions. It is this understanding that prompted my thinking of the problem of the environment from a visual standpoint. The increasing scientific concourse around the ecological problem has left non-scientific studies emerging from behind. Yet artistic actions are burgeoning. Visual and creative methods could be properly leveraged for adaptive and mitigatory directions, considering the rise of the image culture of this time. In this paper, I have engaged with my artistic practice as a way to provide understanding and discourse around selected ecological issues. Using my motivated artworks as visual data, this study explores three major themes: the generic concept of climate change, emissions, and waste mismanagement informed largely by Nigeria's throwaway culture. This practice-led process of artistic exploration follows a qualitative paradigm of study. The visual data and their themes stand as visual metaphors and are so analysed using conceptual metaphor theory expounded by Lakoff and Johnson, Andrew Ortony, and Charles Forceville. Remote laboratories and digital games are consolidated learning technologies. Recent works have demonstrated synergistic effects when these technologies are integrated. In this work, we performed systematic and mapping reviews to determine how is the state of the art of the integration process of remote labs and educational digital games. The reviews were carried out by using interdisciplinary databases following well established reviewing protocols. We found 13 papers with the systematic review and 20 with the mapping review. These papers were organized into four groups: (1) Theoretical, (2) Proposal, (3)Prototype, (4) Validation. Our findings showed the integration of these technologies is still in the beginning, since most of the sum of works on theoretical concepts, initial propositions or prototypes is still large than the works on validated results. We found trends towards integrated learning tools based on remote laboratories and digital games but these works are scarce, spatially concentrated and, in most cases, unavailable for massive use. The focus of this paper is the mutual representation of the process of artistic writing in the memoirs of Bohumila Grögerová Můj labyrint [My Labyrinth] and in the novel Točité věty [Winding Sentences] by Daniela Hodrová, which came into existence concurrently with the two authors in close contact. Other pieces by these authors, though of different genres, may be read as an artistic dialogue as well: a dialogue with mythologies, historical figures and cultural traditions, the values and knowledge that these authors share and represent, sometimes in a similar way and sometimes in a different one, while employing narrative strategies typical both of modernist and postmodernist poetics, balancing between dream and reality, fictionality, fictionalization and authenticity. A selection of topics (language, speech, writing; individual and collective; textual subjects; myth and novel; memory and oblivion) are analyzed, and a comparison of modes of representation and their functions in the texts as related to the world of ideas of both authors is undertaken. The rise of comics and games has led to increased artistic processing of portrait photos. With growing commercial demand and advancements in deep learning, neural networks for rapid facial style transfer have become a key research area in computer vision. This involves converting face photos into different styles while preserving content. Face images are more complex than regular images, requiring extensive modification. However, current methods often face issues such as unnatural color transitions, loss of detail in highlighted areas, and noticeable artifacts along edges, resulting in low-quality stylized images. In this study, an enhanced generative adversarial network (GAN) is proposed, which is based on Adaptive Layer Instance Normalization (AdaLIN) + Laplacian. This approach incorporates the AdaLIN normalization method, allowing for the dynamic adjustment of Instance Normalization (IN) and Layer Normalization (LN) parameters' weights during training. By combining the strengths of both normalization techniques, the model selectively preserves and alters content information to some extent, aiming to strike a balance between style and content. This helps address problems such as unnatural color transitions and loss of details in highlights that lead to color inconsistencies. Furthermore, the introduction of a Laplacian regularization term aids in denoising the image, preventing noise features from interfering with the color transfer process. This regularization also helps reduce color artifacts along the face's edges caused by noise while maintaining the image's contour information. These enhancements significantly enhance the quality of the generated face images. To compare our method with traditional CycleGAN and recent algorithms such as XGAN and CariGAN, both subjective and objective evaluations were conducted. Subjectively, our method demonstrates more natural color transitions and superior artifact elimination, achieving higher scores in Mean Opinion Score (MOS) evaluations. Objectively, experiments using our method yielded better scores across three metrics: FID, SSIM, and MS-SSIM.
