Background and Aims: The Rome Foundation Global Epidemiology Study (RFGES) assessed the prevalence, burden, and associated factors of Disorders of Gut–Brain Interaction (DGBI) in 33 countries around the world. Achieving worldwide sampling necessitated use of two different surveying methods: In‐person household interviews (9 countries) and Internet surveys (26 countries). Two countries, China and Turkey, were surveyed with both methods. This paper examines the differences in the survey results with the two methods, as well as likely reasons for those differences. Methods: The two RFGES survey methods are described in detail, and differences in DGBI findings summarized for household versus Internet surveys globally, and in more detail for China and Turkey. Logistic regression analysis was used to elucidate factors contributing to these differences. Results: Overall, DGBI were only half as prevalent when assessed with household vs Internet surveys. Similar patterns of methodology‐related DGBI differences were seen within both China and Turkey, but prevalence differences between the survey methods were dramatically larger in Turkey. No clear reasons for outcome differences by survey method were identified, although greater relative reduction in bowel and anorectal versus upper gastrointestinal disorders when household versus Internet surveying was used suggests an inhibiting influence of social sensitivity. Conclusions: The findings strongly indicate that besides affecting data quality, manpower needs and data collection time and costs, the choice of survey method is a substantial determinant of symptom reporting and DGBI prevalence outcomes. Combining online and offline data collection during six months of ethnographic fieldwork in Southern Mozambique in early 2021, this paper explores how media and its everyday use in the Global South are impacting on, and are in turn being transformed by China. It specifically looks into the creative and personalised ways in which Chinese-made garments are sold and promoted in Mozambique via the messenger service WhatsApp. Examining how Mozambican and West African traders use WhatsApp groups and status updates to mediate the fashionability of these Chinese goods, this paper shows that the consequences of Chinese interactions with the Global South on the global media landscape transcend the mere spread of Chinese hardware and software. Going beyond dominant, state-centred narratives of Chinese influence abroad, this paper demonstrates the key role of individuals and their agency in shaping the digital impact of Global China. Much psychological research depends on participants' diligence in filling out materials such as surveys. However, not all participants are motivated to respond attentively, which leads to unintended issues with data quality, known as careless responding. Our question is: how do different modes of data collection—paper/pencil, computer/web-based, and smartphone—affect participants' diligence vs. "careless responding" tendencies and, thus, data quality? Results from prior studies suggest that different data collection modes produce a comparable prevalence of careless responding tendencies. However, as technology develops and data are collected with increasingly diversified populations, this question needs to be readdressed and taken further. The present research examined the effect of survey mode on careless responding in a repeated-measures design with data from three different samples. First, in a sample of working adults from China, we found that participants were slightly more careless when completing computer/web-based survey materials than in paper/pencil mode. Next, in a German student sample, participants were slightly more careless when completing the paper/pencil mode compared to the smartphone mode. Finally, in a sample of Chinese-speaking students, we found no difference between modes. Overall, in a meta-analysis of the findings, we found minimal difference between modes across cultures. Existing approaches for the 3D modeling of tunnels suffer from several problems, such as highly difficult data acquisition, redundancy of model data, large computational burden, and the inability of the resulting models to be monolithic. Therefore, solutions to the tunnel network modeling problem for complex structures need to be proposed and elaborated in detail. In this paper, a construction method for a three-dimensional tunnel general monomer model based on parallel pathfinding is proposed. Widely used tunnel CAD drawings are analyzed and read, a disordered arc ensemble intersection trend decision method is developed, and an automatic path extraction solution algorithm for unidirectional modeling of tunnel centerlines is constructed. By constructing and splicing the surface elements of the 3D model, a monomeric 3D tunnel model representing the complex network structure is finally obtained. Moreover, the modeling of shafts is realized based on the monomer model, allowing for the three-dimensional topological relationships between different sub-levels of the tunnel and the ground to be established. The automatic modeling method proposed in this paper is applied to the digital twin platform of a filling project in a mining area in Gansu province, China. The experimental results demonstrate that the 3D tunnel models constructed in this way have a smaller data volume, higher modeling accuracy, and more stable growth of modeling speed. In recent years, China's advanced light sources have entered a period of rapid construction and development. As modern X-ray detectors and data acquisition technologies advance, these facilities are expected to generate massive volumes of data annually, presenting significant challenges in data management and utilization. These challenges encompass data storage, metadata handling, data transfer and user data access. In response, the Data Organization Management Access Software (DOMAS) has been designed as a framework to address these issues. DOMAS encapsulates four fundamental modules of data management software, including metadata catalogue, metadata acquisition, data transfer and data service. For light source facilities, building a data management system only requires parameter configuration and minimal code development within DOMAS. This paper firstly discusses the development of advanced light sources in China and the associated demands and challenges in data management, prompting a reconsideration of data management software framework design. It then outlines the architecture of the framework, detailing its components and functions. Lastly, it highlights the application progress and effectiveness of DOMAS when deployed for the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) and Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF). This paper sorts out and discusses the different methods used in the analysis of China-related public opinion, builds a theoretical system of public opinion analysis methods on this basis, conducts case analysis and research on hot public opinion combined with corpus, and selects the semantic analysis method from the technical level supporting the public opinion analysis method. From the perspective of related technologies involving intelligent analysis methods, comparative analysis and improved applications are given, which provides an effective analysis basis for government public management departments to fully grasp and guide China-related public opinion. Sentiment tendency analysis is also an important direction of Chinese-related public opinion research. This paper sorts and analyzes China-related public opinion from the characteristics, applications, and text processing methods of different granularities and builds and improves the annotation model for the smallest granularity. The frequency, trend, and evolution characteristics of China-related public opinion events are sorted out and analyzed, and the trend analysis method is used to analyze the evolution trend of attention of public opinion events. The distribution of individual opinion acceptance, trust threshold, and opinion leaders are simulated by experiments. The impact on the evolution of China-related public opinion was determined. The experimental results show that the effect of the method proposed in this paper is improved by about 10% compared with the direct use of statistical learning methods for emotional orientation analysis. The SVM method also has obvious advantages over the Bayesian method, especially the combination of the SVM method and the bigram method which gives the best results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Since entering the new century, people's living standards have been continuously improved, living conditions have been continuously improved, which is the embodiment of the improvement of the country's comprehensive strength, the increase in national strength has made the development of sports faster and faster, and the annual output value of sports is also increasing year by year. However, there are still many places that do not pay attention to practical content; in view of these problems, we use the Internet technology to collect and analyze the data of sports practice teaching; in this chapter paper, we use the 2SPLM observation matrix method and CS-MDGA algorithm, so that the collected sports practice teaching data is more quick and convenient to be analyzed. This paper also uses a large number of chart data to confirm the correctness and accuracy of their views, making the paper more reliable. The study shows that the teaching of physical education in China is increasing year by year, indicating that the teaching of physical practice in China is developing in a better direction. The mathematical modeling in the abstract section of the article uses computational methods such as constrained nonnegative matrix decomposition and constrained nonnegative matrix decomposition model optimization algorithm that integrates external information for research. Intelligentization-oriented development is a fast-developing trend of technological revolution. It promotes the reconstruction of the industrial system of a region and affects its overall industrial competitiveness. This paper sets up a variety of models featuring intelligentization level and multi-dimensional industrial competitiveness, and collects data of 28 provinces and cities in China from 2003 to 2017 to test the influence of industrial intelligentization level on the industrial competitiveness of a region. The result reveals that: 1) In China's provincial jurisdictions, the higher the level of intelligentization is, the lower the overall level of industrial competitiveness and the lower the proportion of industry in the economic system will be. In regions where the facilities are highly intelligentialized, the production sectors tend to move to the less developed regions, and the growth effect of technological dividends is the focus. 2) Compared with the middle region and the Western region of China, the Eastern region, which is more developed with higher intelligentization level, has stronger ability in the research and development (R&D) of technologies, and the economic structure of the industry there tends to be stable, manifesting a strong growth potential. The United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address societal, economic and environmental sustainability issues. The efficiency of SDGs monitoring could be improved by essential variables (EVs), which can help to better deal with massive data, interdisciplinary knowledge and workloads. However, in practice, effectively combining EVs with SDGs monitoring remains challenging. In this paper, we proposed a refining method of essential SDGs variables (ESDGVs) to land degradation. Firstly, we selected northwest China as our experimental region and extracted a group of variables related to land degradation from SDG indicators based on the DPSIR framework. Next, we identify the essential ones using a combined qualitative and quantitative methods with the criteria of feasibility, spatialization, and relevance which considered the issues of data acquisition, monitoring scale, and closeness to the land degradation. Finally, we analysed the monitoring role of ESDGVs. Results show that, compared to conventional observations, ESDGVs facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of regional SDGs with reduced efforts. And both climate and human activities have a facilitating or inhibiting effect on land degradation processes. The pollution haven hypothesis is studied from a bilateral trade perspective in this study, taking the reference of two Asian giants, namely, India and China. For this purpose, trade in pollution-intensive industries is analysed using data collected from the United Nations Comtrade dataset based on Standard Industrial Trade Classification codes for 1992–2019. The analysis helps us argue that between the two, China's demand is more pollution-intensive and India is the major supplier of pollution-intensive products. Purpose: Sourcing intermediaries, commonly known as agents or trading companies, represent a useful organisational solution for assisting companies to manage supply risks and to overcome the liability of foreignness. However, the landscape of global business is experiencing rapid and fundamental changes, which leads us to ask whether intermediaries will continue to play a role in global sourcing. This paper aims to understand how sourcing intermediaries ensure a lasting position in the changing setting of global sourcing and information sharing. Design/methodology/approach: This paper investigates the operations of both Chinese and Nordic (Finnish and Swedish) intermediaries in sourcing from China by analysing qualitative data collected over a period of four years. Findings: Through the lens of information asymmetry, this paper identifies four distinct informational roles that are used by intermediaries to reduce information asymmetry between suppliers and buyers located in different countries. The paper also examines intermediaries' signalling activities under these roles in a cross-border triad. Originality/value: The paper contributes to the scientific debate on the usefulness of intermediaries by underlining intermediaries' informational advantage, which provides a new explanation for the survival of intermediaries in a rapidly changing business context. Additionally, this study contributes to research on intermediation strategies by empirically examining both Chinese and Western intermediaries, highlighting the importance of institutional contexts in affecting intermediaries' informational roles. English is a global language. In the process of China's internationalization, overcoming the difficulty of understanding English is the only way to achieve cultural exchanges, economic exchanges, and even scientific and technological exchanges. Especially in the context of globalization, translation between languages has become the focus of transnational communication. However, there are still problems such as low accuracy and singularity in current machine translation. Aiming at the above problems, based on the improved GLR algorithm (IGLR), this paper proposes a recognition method to solve the English translation problem. First, a corpus is built, and the number of label words reaches tens of thousands. In this way, the automatic search function of the phrase is realized. In addition, create an intelligent method for translation; and plan the intelligent recognition model with data collection, processing, and output; extract characteristic parameters to realize intelligent translation. Conduct an experimental analysis on the designed English translation method and record the experimental data. The construction industry is one of the important pillars of the Chinese national economy. BIM, as a new information technology tool, provides an intelligent digital representation of buildings to support diverse activities and brings about a wide range of benefits throughout the life cycle of projects. However, BIM has not been widely adopted in construction enterprises in China. It is necessary to make a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the influencing factors for BIM adoption. This paper sums up 13 influencing factors from four aspects, namely, technology, economy, institution, and environment aspect. The questionnaire survey and statistical analysis were used to collect and process data which is applied to determine the influencing factors. Based on relevant literature, a hypothesis model was established by the structural equation modeling method. SPSS software and AMOS software were used to test the model. Then, the key factors influencing BIM adoption are induced. The results show that the key factors that influence BIM adoption in China include personnel quality, investment in personnel training, BIM standardization, and the influence of senior managers in the organization. Combined with the above conclusion, this paper puts forward some suggestions for promoting BIM adoption and specific measures to realize the wide application of BIM technology in the Chinese construction industry. Google Trends is a popular data source that has been utilized in hundreds of studies across various fields, including information technology, business, economics, healthcare, and political science. While several previous research has addressed sampling error issues, this article focuses on the measurement errors resulting from changes in Google Trends' data collection method. By examining key phrases such as 'covid-19,' 'decoupling China,' and 'debt trap diplomacy,' this article reveals that, after 2022 when the data collection method was updated, Google Trends generates search results for terms that were not yet coined or yields too few results. These 'strange' search results indicate the presence of measurement errors in Google Trends data. Scholars are advised to validate the contents of Google Trends data through additional steps. In particular, authors in fields like business, economics, and healthcare are encouraged to replicate their research conducted before 2022 to assess the forecasting errors arising from the new data sets retrieved after that period. To explore the functional mechanism of interest similarity in collaboration efficiency, this paper focuses on the process of technological collaboration from time and space dimensions. Specifically, I established a two-dimension model, from which the collaboration process was divided into initial and mature stages, considering time angle and was divided into intra-regional and trans-regional collaborations, considering the spatial angle. Collecting data from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the results indicate that when technicians are in the same region, the more similar their interests, the higher their collaboration efficiency. When technicians carry out trans-regional collaboration, interest similarity has a U-shaped effect on collaboration efficiency in the initial stage of collaboration. Collaboration efficiency decreases due to the distrust of similar content distribution, and with the continuous consolidation of collaboration relationships, collaboration efficiency improves. In the mature stage, interest similarity affects collaboration efficiency positively. The findings provide suggestions for technicians to choose appropriate partners. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Immunotherapy improves the prognosis of patients with advanced lung cancer. The expression level of PD-L1 in lung cancer tissue is the most reliable marker for predicting the efficacy of immunotherapy. However, the relationship between PD-L1 expression level and clinicopathological characteristics in patients with lung adenocarcinoma is unclear. The paper aims to analyze the correlation between PD-L1 expression and clinicopathological features in surgically resected lung adenocarcinoma. Clinicopathological data of 100 patients with surgically resected lung adenocarcinoma admitted to the Department of Thoracic Surgery of our hospital from January 2021 to August 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Immunohistochemistry showed that 36 patients had positive PD-L1 results in postoperative tumor tissues (incidence rate, 36.0%). The tumor-node-metastasis stage, tumor stage, node stage, degree of differentiation, smoking history, and intravascular cancer embolus were statistically different between the two groups (P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that postoperative pathological stages above stage II, T3-4, N1-2, poorly differentiated tumors, and positive intravascular cancer embolus were independent factors for PD-L1 positive in lung adenocarcinoma tissue. Therefore, these patients require more attention in the clinic to increase the efficiency of immunotherapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Drawing on my accompanied returning‐home fieldwork in China with a dear friend, Yun, this paper critically reflects on the ideas of friendship in fieldwork and its enabling and enhancing role in managing safety concerns and negotiating data collection. The contribution is two‐fold. First, it advances current fieldwork scholarship in Humanities and Social Sciences that predominantly focuses on the researcher–informant friendship formed in the field by engaging with the companionship of pre‐existing friends. This diversifies our understandings of fieldwork friendship in individually, socially and culturally unsettling ways. Second, this study furthers ongoing conversations calling for greater visibility and support of different forms of accompanied fieldwork by focusing on the accompaniment of pre‐existing friends. Three potential directions are outlined to normalise the model of accompanied fieldwork in efforts to promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in geography fieldwork. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Track and field sports are known as the "mother of sports". Whether in the field of athletics, fitness, or education, modern track and field sports have developed rapidly. The field of athletics has reached the point where it challenges the limits of humans. The development of China is inseparable from the support of science and technology, and it is inseparable from human scientific research on track and field sports. In order to improve the scientific level of track and field training methods and develop our country's sports industry, this paper designs a track and field training information collection and feedback system based on multi-sensor information fusion. In the method part, this article briefly introduces the content of track and field sports, the mode of multi-sensor information fusion and the existing sports information collection system, using weight coefficient fusion method, D-S evidence theory algorithm and Kalman filter algorithm. This paper designs an information collection and feedback system based on multi-sensor information fusion, and conducts demand analysis, comparative analysis, and data record analysis on this system. By designing the experimental group and the control group, it can be seen that the average performance of the two groups of athletes in the 50-meter run in 8 weeks has improved, and the data of the experimental group and the control group show significant differences. After the experiment, the average performance of the male athletes in the control group increased from around 8.32 to around 8.12, an increase of 4.7%. The performance of male athletes in the experimental group increased from 8.37 to 7.92, an increase of 5.6%. It can also be known that before the experiment, the average performance of the athletes in the selected control group was due to the experimental group, but after 8 weeks of experiment, the increase in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. This shows that the data collection and feedback system using multi-sensor information fusion can be more accurately and differentiatedly applied to track and field training, and can find problems in athletes, so as to prescribe the right medicine. Purpose: This paper aims to examine alliance governance at different hierarchical levels. Design/methodology/approach: The data is collected from both top-level and operating-level managers in 286 strategic alliances in China (a total of 572 managers). Hierarchical moderated regression models are adopted to test the hypotheses and two-stage regression analyzes are used to correct for endogeneity. Findings: This paper finds that relational governance has a greater impact on alliance performance than contract utilization at the top level. Furthermore, the simultaneous use of relational governance at the top and operating levels have a detrimental impact on alliance performance. Finally, top-level contract utilization has a negative interaction with operating-level relational governance but a positive interaction with operating-level contract utilization. Research limitations/implication: First, the cross-sectional nature of the data collection approach provides only a snapshot of how each type of governance mechanism and its interactions affect alliance performance. Second, the sample is limited to firms located in emerging markets. Practical implications: Managers should realize that the effectiveness of contract and relational governance mechanisms varies across different management levels and they should be cautious about the cross-level governance mechanism alignment. Originality/value: This study advances the interfirm governance literature in that this paper examined alliance governance at different hierarchical levels and provides new insights into the ongoing debate on whether the contract and relational governance mechanisms function as complements or substitutes by exploring the governance alignment across different alliance hierarchies. The research on the application of BIM technology in architectural heritage is increasing. Building information modeling (BIM) makes the realization of architectural heritage assessment, design, and management systematic and effective. However, little is known about the use of China-based BIM in conjunction with architectural heritage. Therefore, this study conducted a systematic literature analysis to determine the application fields and development trends of BIM and architectural heritage research in China. A total of 186 articles were retrieved from CNKI, of which 167 met the inclusion criteria and formed the basis of this systematic literature analysis. With the aid of the literature research visualization analysis software VOSviewer and SATI, a comprehensive literature visualization analysis was carried out. It was determined that the hot fields of BIM research in architectural heritage in China are mainly focused on (a) the perspective of data acquisition and measurement technology, (b) the perspective of model construction based on point cloud data acquisition, and (c) the perspective of BIM model application. Future research trends may focus on the information research of architectural heritage, combined with the application of BIM technology in the whole life cycle management of architectural heritage and other aspects. Since the financial system has illustrated an increasingly prominent characteristic of inextricable connections, information theory is gradually utilized to study the financial system. By collecting the daily data of industry index (2005-2020) and region index (2012-2020) listed in China as samples, this paper applies an innovative measure named partial mutual information on mixed embedding to generate directed networks. Based on the analysis of nonlinear relationships among sectors, this paper realizes the accurate construction of "time-varying" financial network from the perspective of risk spillover. The results are presented as follow: (1) interactions can be better understood through the nonlinear networks among distinct sectors, and sectors in the networks could be classified into different types according to their topological properties connected to risk spillover; (2) in the rising stage, information is transmitted rapidly in the network, so the risk is fast diffused and absorbed; (3) in the declining stage, the network topology is more complex and panic sentiments have long term impact leading to more connections; (4) The US market, Japan market and Hongkong market have significant affect on China's market. With the development of intelligent technology and the rapid growth of economic income of new energy enterprises in China, the research on the influencing factors of enterprise innovation performance has gradually emerged. Based on this, this paper studies the influencing factors and evaluation models of Chinese new energy enterprises' innovation performance based on the perspective of industrial policy. The innovation is to accurately analyze the influencing factors of enterprise innovation performance through optimizing genetic algorithms. Data acquisition is realized from the aspects of enterprise salary system status, technology R & D investment, performance evaluation, etc., and comprehensive analysis and evaluation are carried out by using genetic algorithm. The algorithm can realize multiple analysis and objective evaluation of the core influencing factors of innovation performance of China's new energy enterprises, according to the different characteristics of China's new energy enterprises and the current situation of enterprise income accurate analysis and evaluation. The results show that the innovation performance evaluation model of China's new energy enterprises based on the perspective of industrial policy has the advantages of high scientificity, good sorting effect of variable mass classification and better data demand, which can effectively analyze and compare the factors affecting the innovation performance of China's new energy enterprises with different masses. The development of innovative information technologies has improved the geological mapping process through the use of smart and portable equipment to collect field data, build a geological database and produce geological maps. This revolution has also brought great influence and challenges to practical training in field geology. In this paper, we present our workflow and application of the Digital Geological Survey System (DGSS) during field geology training for undergraduates in Zhoukoudian. The DGSS employs a Point-Routing-Boundary (PRB) model to reform the methods of geological section survey and geological mapping in terms of data collection and map-making and provides a pipelined solution from field data collection to map-making. The experiences of data collection, geological mapping, cross-section survey, and production of stratigraphic histograms and cross-section maps prove that DGSS can save time and reduce labor intensity for undergraduates during learning field geology. Based on the field practice of undergraduates in Zhoukoudian, the influence of the DGSS in promoting field geological teaching and the students' feedbacks to DGSS are discussed. Overall, the DGM system is more popular than the conventional notebook and toolbox. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to propose a theoretical framework to illustrate the archival knowledge applied by archivists in their personal archiving (PA) and the mechanism of the application of archival knowledge in their PA. Design/methodology/approach: The grounded theory methodology was adopted. For data collection, in-depth interviews were conducted with 21 archivists in China. Data analysis was performed using the open coding, axial coding and selective coding to organise the archival knowledge composition of PA and develops the awareness-knowledge-action (AKA) integration model of archival knowledge application in the field of PA, according to the principles of the grounded theory. Findings: The archival knowledge involved in the field of PA comprises four principal categories: documentation, arrangement, preservation and appraisal. Three interactive factors involved in archivists' archival knowledge application in the field of PA behaviour: awareness, knowledge and action, which form a pattern of awareness leading, knowledge guidance and action innovation, and archivists' PA practice is flexible and innovative. The paper underscored that it is need to improve archival literacy among general public. Originality/value: The study constructs a theoretical framework to identify the specialised archival knowledge and skills of PA which is able to provide solutions for non-specialist PA and develops an AKA model to explain the interaction relationships between awareness, knowledge and action in the field of PA. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine an important yet underexplored research question in the literature: What determines the length of contract governing buyer–supplier relationships during market transitions? The length of contract is a solid indicator of the comprehensiveness of a contract. By integrating transaction costs economics, the embeddedness perspective and the institution-based view, the paper develops a model that incorporates specific investments and perceived opportunism, strategies to select suppliers and buyer firms' confidence in the institutional environment. It further posits how buyer firms' dependence on suppliers moderates these relationships. Design/methodology/approach: Data were collected nationwide via face-to-face interviews with 328 executives in 164 Chinese firms who shared information pertaining to 774 buyer–supplier contracts. A fine-grained mixed-empirical method was designed to test the proposed hypotheses, to confirm the reliability and to generalize the research findings. Findings: All the proposed factors significantly influence the length of the contract. Results obtained through a moderated mediating model suggest that buyers with supplier-specific investments and that choose market-based selection relative to a relationship-based tend to perceive more opportunism in buyer–supplier relationships, which will lead to shortening the length of the contract. However, the buyer's perception of opportunism will decrease when buyers perceive higher levels of confidence in their legal institutions. Practical implications: The study discusses several practical implications for B2B managers who typically involve in interfirm exchanges as well as for emerging economies' institutions. Originality/value: Leveraging theoretical insights from transaction cost economics, the institution-based view and buyer–supplier relationships literature, this empirical study adds unique contributions to B2B research in general and emerging economies' institutional literature in particular. The mismatch between a laborer's abilities and the goals set forth by a training program is one of the most pressing concerns for a labor training program. This paper looks at the incentives for a laborer to enter a rural labor training program and demonstrates a clear method of analyzing the participation issues using instrumental regressions on the data collected from a case study a "poverty city" in the Zhejiang province, China. This paper shows that a pre-program wage drop may induce workers of a higher caliber to enter the training program and cause a "cream-skimming" effect on its outcome because of the S-shaped labor supply curve for the rural population who live in poverty. The result of the cream-skimming effect enhances the traditional view that a pre-program wage drop may reduce "opportunity cost" to enter a training program. Background: To better meet people's growing demand for medical and health services, 21 cities in Guangdong Province were involved in the reform of public hospitals in 2017. This paper evaluates the equity and efficiency of public hospitals' health resource allocation in Guangdong Province and explores ways to change the current situation. Methods: Data were collected from the Guangdong Health Statistical Yearbook 2016–2020 and Guangdong Statistical Yearbook 2017–2021. The Gini coefficient (G), Theil index (T), and health resource density index (HRDI) were used to measure the equity of health resource allocation. An improved three-stage DEA method was applied in efficiency evaluation. The entropy weight method was employed to calculate the weight of different indicators to obtain a comprehensive indicator representing the overall volume of health resources in each city. A two-dimensional matrix was drawn between the HRDI of the comprehensive indicator and efficiency and the per capita government financial subsidies and efficiency to observe the coordination of equity and efficiency across regions. Results: From 2016 to 2020, the G of public hospital, bed, and health technician allocation by population remained below 0.2, while that by geographical area ranged from 0.4 to 0.6; the G of government financial subsidies by population was above 0.4, while that by geographical area was greater than 0.7. The results for T showed that inequality mainly comes from intraregional differences, and the Pearl River Delta contributes most to the overall differences. Although the HRDI of the Pearl River Delta is far greater than that of other regions, obvious differences exist across cities in the region. Only 38.1% of cities were found to be efficient in 2020. The Pearl River Delta was in the first quadrant, and the other three regions were in the third quadrant, accounting for a large proportion. Conclusion: The equity of government financial subsidies allocation was the worst, and there were distinct regional differences in the geographical distribution of health resources. The development of healthcare within the Pearl River Delta was highly unbalanced. The development of healthcare was uneven between the Pearl River Delta, eastern, western, and mountainous regions. In the deployment and development of mobile services, it is often local and municipal mobile companies that, in order to meet the different needs of the market, immediately carry out corresponding services, resulting in one service for each municipal subsidiary in the same province or one platform for a class of services. Situation is good for quickly meeting user needs at that time. The exchange and communication of enterprise personnel information are becoming more and more frequent, and the collection of enterprise information through mobile has become a new way of enterprise information collection. The work orders, process parameters, documents, notifications, and instructions generated by the planning layer are sent to the production control layer to respond, guide, and trigger the production site events. The paper examines the influence of the Triple Helix system of university-industry-government collaboration on regional entrepreneurship in China. Utilizing proprietary survey data collected from industrial firms, academic institutions, and government agencies in five representative Chinese regions, the paper finds that interactions within the three spheres of the Triple Helix system in terms of trilateral collaboration, network relationship, and complementary synergies all have positive influences on regional entrepreneurship in China by shaping local entrepreneurial environment and fostering entrepreneurship activities. The paper also reveals significant regional differences in the functioning of the Triple Helix system. Specifically, the roles of trilateral collaboration and network relationship are more salient in developing regions, while complementary synergies are more effective in developed regions. This study contributes to the burgeoning literature on national and regional innovation systems by emphasizing the multifaceted effect of university-industry-government collaboration on promoting regional entrepreneurship. After the completion of the construction, according to the design drawing, the construction needs to be monitored to ensure the safety of the use of the building. Regular manual monitoring is time-consuming and laborious, and the information lags behind. In order to collect building information in real time and quickly, this paper briefly introduced Three-dimensional laser scanning technology, and combined building information modeling (BIM) to collect and monitor building information. Then, an operational steel suspension bridge in Shaanxi Province, China, was analyzed by using three-dimensional laser BIM technology, and the actual data measured by high-precision total station was used for comparison. The results showed that the trend of deformation and displacement data collected by both static monitoring and dynamic monitoring was basically the same, and the deformation and displacement of suspension bridge increased gradually from both ends to the middle, reaching the maximum at 50 m; statistical data of all monitoring points showed that the accuracy of short-time static monitoring of threedimensional laser BIM was 97.2%, and that of long-time dynamic monitoring was 95.3%. Purpose: The traditional dualism view regards stability and change as opposites and separate, two essential but largely incompatible and mutually exclusive elements in an organization, and it advocates contingency theories to handle the paradox situation; more recent research has adopted the paradoxical lens to highlight both the contradiction and the interdependence between the two elements. This paper aims to address how an organization pursues stability and change simultaneously, i.e., how stability and change contradictorily enable each other to promote the development of an organization. Design/methodology/approach: By adopting a case study on the strategic and structural change of Signcomplex in China, this paper attempts to explore the paradoxical relationship between stability and change, especially their interdependence. Multiple approaches were used during data collection to meet the criteria for trustworthiness, and the data analysis went through a five-step process. Through this analysis, the main mechanisms of stability and change were identified. An analysis was also conducted on how these stable and variable mechanisms enable each other, and finally, a framework was set up to show this paradoxical relationship. Findings: The results confirm the paradox of stability and change: stability enables change by supplying security and consistency, offering reserved knowledge and skills and enabling commitment and the provision of resources for a better realization of the change. Change enables a firm to set up a new state of stability through variable mechanisms such as trial-and-error and exploration activities. The results also indicate that the nature of organizational change is to help an organization reach a new stable stage with higher efficiency and that organizational development relies on the paradoxical effects of both stability and change. Research limitations/implications: This research is constrained by several limitations. The findings need to be further confirmed through the investigation of more organizations; other stable mechanisms, such as habits, tight coupling, commitments, control and low variance, and variable mechanisms, such as search, mindfulness, redundancy and openness, should be considered. As an organization may experience many cross-level or cross-department changes which struggle with each other for resources and with stable mechanisms, to explore the paradox, future research may need to conduct a more in-depth examination of the system of change. Originality/value: The findings offer some valuable insights for further research and hold important implications for management practices, especially management practices in a Chinese context. The findings extend the existing paradox theory by further revealing how stability and change enable each other and offer a paradoxical perspective to look into the nature of organizational change and organizational development. The results remind managers to rethink the relationship between stability and change, to factor these coexisting concepts into their decision-making and to accept, understand and use this paradoxical relationship to realize synergistic effects for the firm. Many crashes occur around freeway exit ramp areas in China due to excessive speeds and large speed variances. Traditionally, a single posted ramp speed limit sign is installed around the physical gore area to manage the speed. To address this issue, the study presented in this paper proposes the use of an advisory exit speed sign (AESS), which is an additional exit speed limit sign positioned along the deceleration lane to accommodate the speed changes ahead of the physical gore. The study selected three sites with similar exit ramp configurations and two scenarios (with AESS/without AESS) to quantify the influences of the AESS on the speed of exiting vehicles. The speed profiles of 480 vehicles were obtained based on 12 hours of data collection. A t-test was applied to verify the reduction in mean speed between the two scenarios. The results show that the AESS in this study was effective in reducing the mean speed and 85th percentile speed, especially in the taper and deceleration lane. It was clearly seen that drivers began to decelerate in advance when the AESS was installed, which led to a smooth deceleration process, especially on the segment between the theoretical gore and the physical gore. The AESS was also helpful in reducing speeding to some extent. Although the effects of the AESS on speed reduction at curved ramps were not ideal, the speed fluctuation range tended to be more contracted when the AESS was installed. This article introduces a dataset on disaggregated national military capabilities from 1970 to 2014, drawn from the International Institute for Strategic Studies Military Balance. While practitioners have long recognized the importance of what weapons states own, scholars have largely examined surrounding questions in piecemeal fashion due to data limitations. The Distribution of Military Capabilities dataset identifies the weapons portfolios of states over the past half century at various levels of aggregation suitable to a wide variety of research questions. This paper begins by explaining the value of data on disaggregated national military capabilities, the data's scope, and the data collection process, including the creation of a new modular typology of weapons categories consistent across time and space. I then identify some initial trends about changes in the distribution of military capabilities and their implications for China's military rise. These data allow scholars to better investigate important questions concerning power projection, military innovation, conflict outcomes, the use of force decisions, and interest group lobbying. Although polls and surveys may suggest people care about their privacy, many still do not take measures to protect their privacy, and this inconsistency in attitudes is referred to as the 'privacy paradox.' Not only does this essay reveal the causes of privacy paradox and potential vulnerability faced by users, but it also investigates how these issues are reflected in reality, offers privacy regulation suggestions for businesses and policymakers in China, and captures a gender difference trend in terms of self-privacy regulations through surveying a selected sample of respondents and evaluating popular online responses on Chinese social media. Surface electromyography (sEMG) is commonly used to observe the motor neuronal activity within muscle fibers. However, decoding dexterous body movements from sEMG signals is still quite challenging. In this paper, we present a high-density sEMG (HD-sEMG) signal database that comprises simultaneously recorded sEMG signals of intrinsic and extrinsic hand muscles. Specifically, twenty able-bodied participants performed 12 finger movements under two paces and three arm postures. HD-sEMG signals were recorded with a 64-channel high-density grid placed on the back of hand and an 8-channel armband around the forearm. Also, a data-glove was used to record the finger joint angles. Synchronisation and reproducibility of the data collection from the HD-sEMG and glove sensors were ensured. The collected data samples were further employed for automated recognition of dexterous finger movements. The introduced dataset offers a new perspective to study the synergy between the intrinsic and extrinsic hand muscles during dynamic finger movements. As this dataset was collected from multiple participants, it also provides a resource for exploring generalized models for finger movement decoding. The high-quality development of agriculture is closely related to technological innovation, but the evolutionary characteristics of the relationship between agricultural transformation and technological innovation have received little study. This study takes 13 main grain-producing areas of China as the research object. Data collection was from 2004 to 2019. Based on the coupling coordination and responsiveness models, we analyze the spatio-temporal agriculture comprehensive level and the associated response degree of agricultural transformation to technological innovation. The results showed that (1) the comprehensive development of technological innovation showed a growth trend, while the agricultural transformation showed a U-shaped growth trend; (2) the coordinated development of these two systems has been significantly improved, but there are differences in the development speed of each province; (3) the coordinated gravity center moved southward in the spatial pattern, eventually presenting the characteristics of "higher level in the east and lower level in the west, while the higher level in the south and lower level in the north"; (4) the influence of technological innovation on agricultural transformation gradually changed from inhibition to positive promotion. In the end, this paper puts forward suggestions on the high-quality development of agriculture from the relationship of technological innovation and agricultural transformation. Off-site construction (OSC) has received increasing attention worldwide, given its advantages over conventional counterparts. However, the performance of OSC's practice has yet to be improved, despite the significant policy effort spent. This paper explores OSC project development strategy optimization from the synergetic perspective of the government and developers. A dynamic Stackelberg game is constructed and, after rigorous theoretical deductions, an example analysis is conducted to determine a proper algorithm for the model's solution. Using Changchun City, China, as an example, the data are collected from policy documents and public web information, and through use of the Delphi method. The optimal development strategies of the local government and developers and the influences of key parameters are then obtained. The synergetic optimization model proposed by this study is conducive to achieving a "win-win" goal of maximizing both developers' economic benefits and the total social benefits. In order to better support the development of the real economy, it is necessary to establish a financial service system with controllable risks and complementary activities. This paper proposes to use the method of Internet of Things data collection combined with sensors to conduct economic analysis. By taking a number of data in recent years for research and analysis, the results show that financial service industry innovation has become an important part of improving the competitiveness of the industry and an important driving force for economic growth. The Internet of Things (IoT) business in China is a fast-growing industry with huge potential. Estimation of passenger car unit (PCU) values is very important for traffic capacity analysis and other relevant applications such as determining the saturation flow rate and signal design. However, the usual methods are not completely analogous for mixed traffic due to the presence of a wide variety of vehicle types, poor lane discipline, variability of intraclass vehicles. The parameters required for PCU estimation under mixed traffic are relatively more complex to measure, causing a severe data limitation. The accurate estimation of PCUs relies on the collection of sufficient amounts of data, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) like drones are used in recent years by researchers as they significantly reduce efforts of data collection and extraction. This paper illustrates three methods for PCU estimation under mixed traffic on two signalized intersections of China using UAV monitoring data. The first method is based on the travel time of a vehicle while clearing the intersection. The second method is based on the average speed estimated in terms of different vehicle categories. The lagging headway ratio is used as the basis for PCU estimation in the third method. The author explores the effect of the driving direction and compared the PCU values at different time periods. The results show that the PCU value of vehicles turning left is always greater than that of going straight. The usage of a combined parameter is more appropriate than a single parameter in mixed traffic. The values are similar to those of India but are quite different from the United States. University students' physical health test is an important part of university physical education. The data obtained by the physical health test play an extremely important role in the field of students' physical health research. This paper clarifies the current situation of data collection of the physical health test for college students by sorting out the development status and trend of the physical health test system in China. To further ensure the accuracy and validity of the physical health test data, this article puts forward the corresponding optimization measures for the data collection link of the existing physical health testing system given the problems existing in the implementation of university students' physical health tests. Optimization measures are as follows: (1) add a test data collection type for test video collection; (2) optimize the authentication process to increase face recognition; and (3) enhance posttest test data management by stamping time. The paper explores the process of trust‐building between SMEs' supply chain partners in turbulent times in emerging economies. It focuses on the role of environmental information exchange in strengthening relationships and improving responsiveness to overcome uncertainty while understanding and adapting to the changing environmental realities. A case study strategy of an SME in Argentina was conducted to obtain insights regarding the experiences, perceptions and opinions about how achieving trust acts as an instrument of partners' support during an uncertain time. A series of semi‐structured interviews were conducted in Argentina and China to collect empirical data. Data were analyzed to understand partners' mutual support and the emergence of trust. The importance of supply chain partnership is that partners go to the market together, meaning that there are more opportunities to benefit from for each partner. The results demonstrate that it is incorrect to assume that an SME can prosper alone in an unknown landscape. However, because of their responsiveness and experience in operating in a turbulent working environment, decision‐makers rapidly develop skills to adapt to uncertainty. Consumers’ transformers play an important role in power systems, and they are essential for operation reliability and commercial benefits. In the past, maintenance personnel had to spend plenty of time on examining consumers’ transformers one by one. Nowadays, with the wide deployment of power user electric energy data acquire system (PUEEDAS), informative metering data are becoming available, which can be utilized for further condition monitoring. Thus, this paper proposes a data-driven abnormal condition monitoring algorithm of data acquisition for consumers’ transformers, which could timely send abnormal condition alerts to operators and maintenance personnel. In the proposed algorithm, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient is utilized to show the degree of correlation among phase currents, and its t-Statistics is used to determine whether abnormal condition of data acquisition exists based on the hypothesis testing. Finally, actual acquisition data from Zhejiang power system in China are employed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, and to analyze the characteristics of normal and abnormal conditions, respectively. Sensitive analyses on different significant levels and sampling rates are performed for considering its impact on monitoring results; the application in real power systems is also given to demonstrate the practicality of the proposed algorithm. To provide the generic clock, trigger, and control function and fulfill the data transmission performance requirement in high-energy physics experiments, a microtelecommunications computing architecture fast control board (uFC) was developed based on the advanced mezzanine card specification. Built around the Xilinx Kintex-7 field-programmable gate array (FPGA), the uFC provides users with a platform with a data memory, reference clock, trigger, and SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable) connections that are required in general experiments. In addition, it has access to two on-board FPGA mezzanine card sockets with a large array of configurable input/ouput and high-speed links up to 10 Gb/s.
