YouTube is an application that contains a variety of video content in which there are various kinds of videos, both non-academic and academic. With its ease of use, which only requires web access, YouTube is an application that can be used as a learning medium. Likewise with the level of use among students, it allows YouTube to be a media in learning. In this study, using a qualitative approach through a questionnaire to 14 students of Electronical Engineering at the Akademi Teknologi Industri Dewantara Palopo who were given 20 statements using the Likert Scale, it was found that 11 students (78.57 percent) of the students' high interest, 3 students (21.43 percent) of the students 'very high interest, and none of the students' moderate interest, low interest and very low interest. This shows that student interest in studying on YouTube is very high.

These analytical advancements have facilitated the characterization of glycans associated with the follicle-stimulating hormones (FSH), which play a central role in the human reproductive system both in males and females utilizing regulating gonadal (testicular and ovarian) functions. The irregularities in FSH activity are also directly linked with osteoporosis. The glycoanalytical studies have been tremendously helpful in understanding the biological roles of FSH. Subsequently, the increasing number of characterized FSH glycan structures and related glycoform data has thrown a challenge to the glycoinformatics community in terms of data organization, storage and access. Also, a user-friendly platform is needed for providing easy access to the database and performing integrated analysis using a high volume of experimental data to accelerate FSH-focused research. FSH Glycans DataBase (FGDB) serves as a comprehensive and unique repository of structures, features, and related information of glycans associated with FSH. Apart from providing multiple search options, the database also facilitates an integrated user-friendly interface to perform the glycan abundance and comparative analyses using experimental data. The automated integrated pipelines present the possible structures of glycans and variants of FSH based on the input data, and allow the user to perform various analyses. Kondisi pandemic COVID-19 membuat kegiatan perkuliahan bergeser menjadi kuliah secara daring. Untuk kegiatan perkuliahan teori relative lebih mudah dilakukan, namun untuk kegiatan praktek diperlukan sarana untuk dalam bentuk suatu simulator plant. Pada penelitian ini buat suatu simulator plant berbasis web dengan menggunakan PLC Logo! Siemens. Tahap awal dari proses ini adalah pembuatan simulator dengan menggunakan PLC Logo! secara local. Simulator ini menggambar hubungan sejumlah input digital dan output digital, yang diprogram menggunakan perangkat lunak Logo! Softcomfort. Selanjutnya dikembangkan web base simulator dengan menggunakan perangkat web editor, sehingga simulator yang dibuat dapat diakses melalui akses web oleh mahasiswa. Pengujian yang dilakukan meliputi pengujian fungsional secara local dan pengujian akses perangkat secara daring oleh mahasiswa. In recent years, it has become a common function to automatically distribute content suitable for each user by letting AI learn the user’s behavior pattern from the user’s web access log. On the other hand, browsing information by a bot is included in the web access log. There are malicious bots for the purpose of DDos attacks and illegal mass extraction of content. Furthermore, it is not uncommon for bots to disguise themselves as if they were showing their attributes to the user. In this study, we propose a method to discriminate between the user and the bot’s web access log in order to exclude the bot’s web access log from the analysis target.

A site traffic analysis study of 24 newspaper sites from OurDigitalWorld’s (ODW) digital newspaper collection and the Ontario Community Newspaper (OCN) aggregate site was completed between 2016 and 2018. Digital newspapers provide access to past and current heritage news, vital statistics, and newspaper clippings. Securing grants from government agencies is essential for local heritage organizations to launch, build, and maintain their digitization initiatives in order to ensure the continuity of local culture and heritage of the past to people of the future. Thus, assessing the impact of (e.g. site usage, Web presence) and routes of Web access to digital newspaper collections is important to determine promotional strategies to increase usage and awareness of the collections. Recommendations were made for ODW, public libraries, and heritage organizations to increase the Web presence and awareness of ODW’s digital newspaper collection and to educate users about the various uses of the newspaper sites. Web mining is an area in which applies data mining techniques to deal the requirements. The following are the popular Web Mining algorithms, such as PageRanking (PR), Weighted PageRanking (WPR) and Hyperlink-Induced Topic Search (HITS), are quite commonly used algorithm to sort out and rank the search results. In among the page ranking algorithm uses web structure mining and web content mining to estimate the relevancy of a web site and not to deal the scalability problem and also visits of inlinks and outlinks of the pages. In recent days to access fast and efficient page ranking algorithm for webpage retrieval remains as a challenging. This paper proposed a new improved WPR algorithm which uses a Principal Component Analysis technique called (PWPR) based on mean value of page ranks. The proposed PWPR algorithm takes into account the importance of both the number of visits of inlinks and outlinks of the pages and distributes rank scores based on the popularity of the pages. The weight values of the pages is computed from the inlinks and outlinks with their mean values. But in PWPR method new data and updates are constantly arriving, the results of data mining applications become stale and obsolete over time. To solve this problem is a MapReduce (MR) framework is promising approach to refreshing mining results for mining big data .The proposed MR algorithm reduces the time complexity of the PWPR algorithm by reducing the number of iterations to reach a convergence point.

The World Wide Web (WWW) becomes an important source for collecting, storing, and sharing the information. Based on the users query the traditional web page search approximately retrieves the related link and some of the search engines are Alta, Vista, Google, etc. The process of web mining defines to determine the unknown and useful information from web data. Web mining contains the two approaches such as data-based approach and process-based approach. Now a day the data-based approach is the widely used approach. It is used to extract the knowledge from web data in the form of hyper link, and web log data. In this study, the modern technique is presented for mining web access utility-based tree construction under Modified Genetic Algorithm (MGA). MGA tree are newly created to deploy the tree construction. In the web access sequences tree construction for the most part relies upon internal and external utility values. The performance of the proposed technique provides an efficient Web access sequences for both static and incremental data. Furthermore, this research work is helpful for both forward references and backward references of web access sequences.

It has been proven in research literature that the analysis of encrypted traffic with statistical analysis and machine learning can reveal the type of activities performed by a user accessing the network, thus leading to privacy risks. In particular, different types of traffic (e.g., skype, web access) can be identified by extracting time based features and using them in a classifier. Such privacy attacks are asymmetric because a limited amount of resources (e.g., machine learning algorithms) can extract information from encrypted traffic generated by cryptographic systems implemented with a significant amount of resources. To mitigate privacy risks, studies in research literature have proposed a number of techniques, but in most cases only a single technique is applied, which can lead to limited effectiveness. This paper proposes a mitigation approach for privacy risks related to the analysis of encrypted traffic which is based on the integration of three main components: (1) A machine learning component which proactively analyzes the encrypted traffic in the network to identify potential privacy threats and evaluate the effectiveness of various mitigation techniques (e.g., obfuscation), (2) a policy based component where policies are used to enforce privacy mitigation solutions in the network and (3) a network node profile component based on the Manufacturer Usage Description (MUD) standard to enable changes in the network nodes in the cases where the first two components are not effective in mitigating the privacy risks. This paper describes the different components and how they interact in a potential deployment scenario. The approach is evaluated on the public dataset ISCXVPN2016 and the results show that the privacy threat can be mitigated significantly by removing completely the identification of specific types of traffic or by decreasing the probability of their identification as in the case of VOIP by 50%, Chat by 40% and Browsing by 33%, thus reducing significantly the privacy risk.

Objective mHealth can be a valuable means of monitoring symptoms and supporting care for rural patients, but barriers to implementation remain. This study aimed to examine care manager perspectives on the adoption, use and impact of an mHealth system deployed within a pragmatic Collaborative Care trial for rural patients with PTSD and/or Bipolar Disorder. Method Sixteen care managers at 12 Federally Qualified Health Centers in 3 states participated in semi-structured interviews. Interviews were transcribed, coded, and thematically analyzed using the Unified Theory of Adoption and Use of Technology as a conceptual framework. App metadata was used to assess the frequency of a care manager reported phenomenon, clinically disengaged app use. Results 4 themes were identified: infrastructural limitations; redundant and incompatible clinical and mHealth workflows; cross platform and web access; and patient engagement and clinically disengaged app use. Most users had a period of consistently submitting symptom measures via the app while disengaged from care for >4 weeks.

A majority of the world remain unconnected to the World Wide Web due to issues like low literacy and relevant information. This study presents Mr. Meteo, a system that provides weather information via voice calls in local languages to rural farmers in Ghana. The study used an interdisciplinary approach to identify relevant informational needs and socio-economic implications, and early end-user and stakeholder involvement. Mr. Meteo was deployed in Bolgatanga, Ghana and represents a novel design in terms of actual web data access to rural areas. The positive feedback from farmers, and stakeholder’s interest in continuity, shows this approach to be an appropriate method of development and implementation of information systems for rural areas; successful due to end-user and stakeholder involvement, focus on existing technologies, the use of voice technologies to mitigate the problem of illiteracy, and information relevance to end-users. This paper presents the methodology and results of this novel, practical, local-context ICT4D project,that has produced a viable information system for rural communities.

Education and training of morphology for medical students, and professionals specializing in pediatric cardiology and surgery has traditionally been based on hands-on encounter with congenitally malformed cardiac specimens. Large international archives are no longer widely available due to stricter data protection rules, a reduced number of autopsies, attrition rate of existing specimens, and most importantly due to a higher survival rate of patients. Our Cardiac Archive houses about 400 cardiac specimens with congenital heart disease. The collection spans almost 60 years and thus goes back to pre-surgical era. Unfortunately, attrition rate due to desiccation has led to an increased natural decay in recent years. The present multi-institutional project focuses on saving the collection by digitization. Specimens are scanned by high-resolution micro-CT/MRI. Virtual 3D-models are segmented and a comprehensive database is built. We now report an initial feasibility study with six test specimens that provided promising results, however, adequate presentation of the intracardiac anatomy, including septa and cardiac valves requires further refinements. Computer assisted design methods are necessary to overcome consequences of pathological examination, shrinkage and/or distortion of the specimens. For a next step, we anticipate an expandable web-based virtual museum with interactive reference and training tools. Web access for professional third parties will be provided by registration/subscription. In a future phase, segmental wall motion data could be added to virtual models. 3D-printed models may replace actual specimens and serve as hands-on surgical training to elucidate complex morphologies, promote surgical emulation, and extract more accurate procedural knowledge based on such a collection.

The theoretical framework was modern validity theory, and the study was designed as a ‘known groups com-parison’ study. Test performances of three known groups of test takers hypothe-sized to have different knowledge levels of the test content were compared, and analysis of pass/fail decisions was used to examine implications of decisions based on test scores. Results indicated that it was possible to discriminate between expert and non-expert test taker groups even with the access to aids. In contrast, an inde-fensible passing score was found to be the largest potential threat to test validity. We consider the problem of mining web access patterns with super-pattern constraint. This constraint requires that the sequential patterns in the sequence database must contain a particular set of patterns as sub-patterns. One common application of this constraint is web usage mining which mines the user access behavior on the web. In this paper, we introduce an efficient strategy for mining web access patterns with super-pattern constraint that requires only one database scan. Firstly, we present the MWAPC (M ining W eb A ccess P atterns based on super-pattern C onstraint) algorithm, in which each frequent pattern has to be checked if it contains at least one pattern from a user-defined set of patterns. Then we develop an effective algorithm, called EMWAPC that prunes the search space at the beginning of mining process and avoids checking the constraints one by one based on three proposed propositions. We have conducted the experiments on real web log databases. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithms outperform the previous methods.

To find valuable knowledge from web data is known as web mining. The growth of World Wide Web exceeded all expectations with the development of internet technology. Rapid growth of World Wide Web has affected a lot of both visitors and web site owners. Retrieving different information in different format has become a very difficult task. To solve this problem, one positive approach is web usage mining (WUM).Web mining that extracts patterns from user weblogs is known as web usage mining, that is an implementation part of data mining. The goal of web usage mining is to understand the behaviour of web site users by processing the data mining of web access data. The success of web usage mining depends upon efficient knowledge extracted from large amount of raw log data. Knowledge obtained from web usage mining does the task of finding the hidden important information about user behaviour, and facilitate more effective browsing, to enhance web design, its page surfing pattern and other valuable information which is used for various purposes. In this paper, we provide detailed review of work done for different phases of web usage mining.

Solutions in the domain of mobile computing face a typical problem of fragmentation due to permissible customization to android framework. Fragmentation is a problem at the device side where the expected behavior of an application is not exhibited identically over all other devices. Presently, cross-layer design is becoming essential aspect of the app development, targeted to deliver an energy-efficient and productive solution. Fragmentation is posing an enormous challenge for development community, and solutions are designed per case basis. There are solutions developed in the domain of graphics and Web access, but as far as the fragmentation with core framework is considered, the solution is still missing. In this paper, we are proposing an intermediate background app residing between the application and the core framework. The proposed app TelePatch generates a map between the intended calls with actually supported calls. The map so obtained can be used by the interested application to obtain the services from the core framework. In our case, we have deployed TelePatch with NeSen, used for capturing the network-state parameters using telephony API of the Android.

The Mössbauer spectroscopy database compiled and maintained by the Mössbauer Effect Data Center (MEDC) is a unique, wide-scope Mössbauer-spectroscopy related information resource, which forms the basis of information services provided by the Mössbauer Effect Data Center to the worldwide scientific community. The Mössbauer Effect Reference and Data Journal (MERDJ) and the Mössbauer Web Access Database (MWAD), both published by MEDC, are widely known examples of the services that rely on the MEDC database. In recent years a further improvement of these services, especially that of MWAD, has been envisaged, and as a first step of the corresponding process the further development of the MEDC database was started. In the present work we introduce the main features of the MEDC database and the steps that have been already taken in the frame of its further development. Implications of the work regarding the associated services are also presented.

Readers with 20/20 vision can easily read text and quickly perceive information to get an overview of the information within a text. This is more challenging for readers who rely on screen readers. This study investigated fac-tors affecting successful screen reading in order to shed light on what contributes towards the improvement of screen reading access. Text extraction, summariza-tion, and representation techniques were explored. The goal of this work leads to the development of a new summarization technique, referred to as On Demand Summary Generation and Text Tagging (ODSG&TT). This technique makes use of a summarization algorithm and a text tagging algorithm developed by Algo-rithmia, which enables on the fly and on-demand summarization of text and key-word generation. The focus of the screen reader is transferred to the keywords using a button control. The intention is to provide summaries with minimum user navigation effort to simplify the screen reading process.

In order to predict network users’ access behavior accurately, this paper proposes a new prediction model based on Web access behavior. To improve prediction performance and reduce the state-space complexity, the model uses hybrid-order Markov chain structure and stores the sequences which share the same prefix. The problems that lower-order models have poor prediction performance and higher-order models result in high state-space complexity are solved in this paper. Simulation results have shown that the prediction model based on Web access behavior can improve the precision and recall to some extent.

The development of aerobiological networks in Spain has been made at the level of the autonomous communities. In Extremadura the sampling is conducted by the University of Extremadura. It began in 1993 with a station in Badajoz (BA). Two towns have had sampling on a temporary basis: Cáceres (CC 1996-2001) and Merida (ME 1996-1998). Currently there are 3 more sampling stations, which have been running since 2011: Plasencia (PL), Don Benito (DB) and Zafra (ZA), and CC again recently. The Annual Pollen Index (annual daily amounts) has shown an average of more than 50.000 pollen grains/m3 (23.532-92.655). In Badajoz (23 years) the results show a downward trend. The maximum daily concentration peaks were reached in 1997, with values of 6.102 grains/ m3 (CC 21/3) and 5.041 grains/m3 (BA 23/3). The five most important pollen types represent 78% of all the pollen registered. Their importance varies from one station to another. Quercus, Poaceae, Olea, Cupressaceae and Platanus, in this order, are the most abundant pollen types in all stations, except Platanus, which is the second most abundant in DB, and Olea, which is second in ZA. The data have been available on the research group’s website (www.aerouex.es) since 2006, and the record of visitors to the site shows a signi cant correlation with the concentration of pollen. Extremadura stands out for its high pollen concentrations of Poaceae and Quercus, due to its wide expanses of oak and cork trees. Pollen from ornamental sources –Cupressaceae and Platanus— shows a strong dependence on their abundance and distribution. Os dados estão disponíveis desde 2006 através do site do grupo de investigação (www. aerouex.es) e o registro de acessos mostra uma correlação significativa com a concentração de pólen. A Extremadura destaca-se pelos valores elevados de concentração de pólen de Poaceae e de Quercus, devido à grande extensão de azinheiras e sobreiros. O pólen de origens ornamentais, Cupressaceae e Platanus, mostra uma dependência significativa de sua abundância e distribuição nas localidades estudadas.

This working paper explores the consequences for historians' research practice of the twinned transnational and digital turns. The accelerating digitization of historians' sources (scholarly, periodical, and archival) and the radical shift in the granularity of access to information within them has radically changes historians' research practice. Yet this has incited remarkably little reflection regarding the consequences for individual projects or collective knowledge generation. What are the implications for international research in particular? This essay heralds the new kinds of historical knowledge-generation made possible by web access to digitized, text-searchable sources. It also attempts an accounting of all that we formerly, unwittingly, gained from the frictions inherent to international research in an analog world. What are the intellectual and political consequences of that which has been lost?

Medical information websites are usually targeted toward patients, physicians, and medical students. Most of the latest studies researched the usability of such websites. However, reports on user numbers and behavior are rare. The goal of our study is to analyze the utility of a website of a large tertiary referral center in ophthalmology in terms of various target audiences (patients, applicants, medical students, referring ophthalmologists). The web access data from our institutional website was assessed with Google Analytics. Data collection started in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, we counted a total of 763,942 page views. The overall number of users dropped from 81,572 to 67,740. This drop's onset correlates with a change in the website structure. All target audience pages received constant traffic from 2016 to 2019, with the patients’ and doctors’ sites attracting the most traffic. The pages for medical students and job applicants, although not viewed often, revealed a long session duration. Our website is used by all our target audiences. The behavior and the user numbers of each target group differ. Changes to a website's structure can influence the number of users and their behavior. It is not possible to make a direct comparison to other institutions’ websites as there are so few similar reports available. By adding more parameters to the analytics profile in a prospective setting, more detailed analyses of user behavior may be possible in the future.
