Abstract Background Antineoplastic medications, including doxorubicin, idarubicin, and epirubicin, have been found to adversely affect the heart due to oxidative stress - mitochondrial dysfunction - ferroptosis (ORMFs), which act as contributing attributes to anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity. To better understand this phenomenon, the time-resolved measurements of ORMFS genes were analyzed in this study. Methods The effect of three anthracycline drugs on ORMFs genes was studied using a human 3D cardiac microtissue cell model. Transcriptome data was collected over 14 days at two doses (therapeutic and toxic). WGCNA identified key module-related genes, and functional enrichment analysis investigated the biological processes quantified by ssGSEA, such as immune cell infiltration and angiogenesis. Biopsies were collected from heart failure patients and control subjects. GSE59672 and GSE2965 were collected for validation. Molecular docking was used to identify anthracyclines’s interaction with key genes. Results The ORMFs genes were screened in vivo or in vitro. Using WGCNA, six co-expressed gene modules were grouped, with MEblue emerging as the most significant module. Eight key genes intersecting the blue module with the dynamic response genes were obtained: CD36, CDH5, CHI3L1, HBA2, HSD11B1, OGN, RPL8, and VWF. Compared with control samples, all key genes except RPL8 were down-regulated in vitro ANT treatment settings, and their expression levels varied over time. According to functional analyses, the key module-related genes were engaged in angiogenesis and the immune system pathways. In all ANT-treated settings, ssGSEA demonstrated a significant down-regulation of angiogenesis score and immune cell activity, including Activated CD4 T cell, Immature B cell, Memory B cell, Natural killer cell, Type 1 T helper cell, and Type 2 T helper cell. Molecular docking revealed that RPL8 and CHI3L1 show significant binding affinity for anthracyclines. Conclusion This study focuses on the dynamic characteristics of ORMFs genes in both human cardiac microtissues and cardiac biopsies from ANT-treated patients. It has been highlighted that ORMFs genes may contribute to immune infiltration and angiogenesis in cases of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity. A thorough understanding of these genes could potentially lead to improved diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence has led to the growing influence of new media on society. The creators of digital images no longer play the role of exporters of art and culture but gradually delegate power to the audience, who are no longer passive recipients of information but are more involved in the interactive experience of video works, better engaged in the background of artworks and the emotional exchange of art and culture that occurs with artworks. Dunhuang murals, as a representative of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, have formed a wide range of cultural expressions with the help of new media technologies with different characteristics, effectively attracting audiences to participate in dissemination activities such as knowledge learning, cultural experience, and artistic exchange of Dunhuang culture. This paper provides an overview of interactive perceptual video design methods, the impact of interactive perceptual design on the narrative line of the video, and the features of the interactive perceptual invention, such as immersion, immersion, and fun. Firstly, a comparative analysis of interactive perceptual image design cases is conducted to summarize the differences between interactive perceptual image design and traditional images and outline the advantages of the former. Finally, a complete augmented reality display work is formed through the organic combination of the interactive perceptual design in three dimensions: user experience, visual guidance, and content narrative. The results of this paper show that 80% of the 120 people believe that the interactive perceptual presentation has made Dunhuang murals more vivid and exciting; 91% believe that the production of Dunhuang murals with perceptual machine technology gives visitors an immersive experience; among them, it is found through the research that visitors are 85% satisfied with this design, which exceeds the expected guesses. This paper, as a new exploration of future cases of digital communication of cultural heritage based on enhanced interactive perception technology, also argues the feasibility and effectiveness of its design in terms of results and provides new ideas for the communication of traditional culture.

随着物联网(IoT)行业的快速发展, 无线传感器网络(WSN)融合云计算技术面临着任务处理时延高、传感器节点能量有限的挑战。因此, 提出了一种基于云雾网络架构的路径计算方法, 利用雾计算层的网络边缘设备计算资源, 将WSN监测任务合理地部署到指定边缘设备上完成处理, 以减少能耗制约下的任务处理时延。为了将任务有效地分配到雾计算层, 采用了一种任务映射规则, 将有向无环图表示的监测任务映射到无向图表示的雾计算层网络; 结合时延和能耗约束建立了一个关于寻求最优映射关系的二值优化问题; 采用模拟退火-离散二值粒子群优化(SA-BPSO)算法实现了对该优化问题的求解。仿真结果显示, 在数据量为10 Mb时, 该方法的时延性能相比较WSN融合云计算技术提高了约40%。

Mold on the phosphogypsum wallboard seriously hinders the resource utilization of phosphogypsum, and incorporating inorganic antibacterial materials can effectively inhibit mold growth. In this study, Escherichia coli and wallboard mold were used as experimental strains, and the antibacterial activity of antibacterial material-modified calcined gypsum from phosphogypsum (CPG) was determined using the inhibition zone method and mold surface growth area analysis. Characterization techniques such as XRF, XRD, and SEM were used to study the phase composition and microstructure of the samples, and an antibacterial model was constructed to explore the antibacterial mechanism. The results indicated that using E. coli as an indicator bacterium, ZnO-0.05TiO _2 -CPG exhibited the best bactericidal effect, while ZnO-CPG exhibited the best bacteriostatic effect. Against mold, ZnO contents of 2.5% or 5% demonstrated strong antibacterial properties, with compressive strengths of 10.1 MPa and 9.95 MPa, respectively, meeting the requirements of ≥3.50 MPa for compressive strength according to the ‘Lightweight Partition Plates for Building’ standard (GB/T 23451 2009). The superior antibacterial performance of ZnO compared to TiO _2 is attributed to the slow release of Zn ^2+ , which disrupts cell membranes and the generated reactive oxygen species inhibit cell growth.

The operational strategy of the district cooling system (DCS) with an ice storage system must be carefully optimized for many objectives to achieve optimal operation. However, owing to the fact that the variables of DCS are in different orders of magnitude and there is a vast gap between the variables, it is not easy to perform arithmetic. In this paper, the DCS model based on the per-unit value form is formulated to develop a many-objectives operational strategy that is solved by the linear weighting method. And a multiple-attribute decision-making method is taken to get the optimal operating strategy. The simulation results are discussed for an existing cooling system with 619-node and 614-branch to illustrate that the model based on the per-unit value form can obtain satisfactory optimization results and a significant reduction in time consumption.

This study investigates the effectiveness of fusion-based appreciative curriculum moral education through non-experimental research methods involving college students from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and mainland China who took the Ethics and Life course. The findings indicate that: (1) moral education based on integrated appreciation significantly enhances students’ moral cognition and demonstrates a positive but nonsignificant impact on moral behaviour. (2) Both classroom reflection and course papers reveal that integrative appreciation-based moral education promotes moral cognition and fosters value cultivation. (3) Gender can influence the effectiveness of curriculum moral education, warranting attention to the active utilization of this subgroup characteristic in practice. (4) College students’ moral cognition and behaviour are not significantly correlated with their academic performance.

Abstract Doxorubicin (DOX) is an effective chemotherapy drug, but its clinical use has adverse effects on male reproduction. However, there are few studies about the specific biological processes related to male reproduction or strategies for improving fertility protection. In this paper, we examined the effects of DOX on spermatogenesis and sperm function, and tested the possible protective role of melatonin (MLT) against DOX’s reproductive toxicity. DOX-treated mice showed signs of significantly impaired spermatogenesis, including vacuolated epithelial cells, decreased testis weights, and lowered sperm counts and motility. DOX also reduced germ cell proliferation (PCNA) and meiosis-related proteins (SYCP3), but this effect could be partially improved with MLT administration. HSPA2 expression was maintained, which indicated that although MLT did not improve sperm motility, it did have a significant protective effect on elongated sperm. IVF results showed that MLT could partially promote two-cell and blastocyte development that was restricted by DOX. MLT reversed DOX-driven changes in the testes, including the antioxidant indices of SOD1, CAT and PRDX6, and the apoptotic indices of BAX and Caspase3. These results suggest that MLT effectively prevents DOX-induced early reproductive toxicity, and increase our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying DOX’s effects on male reproduction and the protective mechanism of MLT.

Bisphenol A (BPA) exposure is known to cause damage to male fertility. Conversely, melatonin (MLT) has been shown to offer protection against reproductive damage by acting as an antioxidant. Exploration into the molecular mechanisms behind how MLT alleviates BPA-induced male fertility damage remains unclear. In this study, adult male mice were divided into four groups of control, BPA exposure (intragastrically, 50 mg/kg/day), MLT treatment (intraperitoneal injection, 10 mg/kg/day) and combined BPA+MLT treatment group for comparative analysis after five weeks of treatment. BPA exposure led to male mice subfertility characterized by poor sperm quality of decreased sperm counts and motility, and reduced pregnancy rate of female mice in in vivo and blastocyst formation in vitro experiments. In BPA exposed mice, germ cell proliferation was impaired, showing a decrease in PCNA expression. BPA exposure also induced a decrease in the expression of antioxidant molecules Cat, Prdx6, and Sod1, and up-regulated BAX expression. These expression changes resulted in increased germ cell apoptosis detected by TUNEL experiments. MLT treatment significantly maintained male mice sperm quality and fertility adversely affected by BPA through modulating the abovementioned responses. Sperm proteomics identified 118 BPA-regulated proteins whose expression was changed by MLT treatment, including 37 down-regulated proteins related to proteolysis activity, the up-regulated proteins were mainly involved in lipid metabolism. Conclusively, BPA exposure impaired male fertility by negatively affecting germ cell proliferation and sperm quality. MLT treatment could alleviate the side effects of BPA by regulating antioxidant molecules, inhibiting germ cell apoptosis, and maintaining male fertility. This study will provide more information for further exploration into the molecular mechanisms of BPA and MLT in male reproduction.

Background High-performance accelerators have higher requirements for operational reliability and stability. By analyzing the historical data that is routinely saved during accelerator operation, most failures can be judged. However, when some rapid failure processes occur, due to the insufficient granularity of the historical data stored conventionally, it is impossible to effectively analyze such rapid failure processes. When a failure occurs in a particle accelerator, fast acquisition techniques are needed to collect large amounts of data from various devices with precise timestamps. The failure occurrent process can be rapidly reconstructed by using these data to locate and judge the root cause of the failure. In order to obtain data accurately when a failure occurs, hardware devices with data cache function can be used at the front-end devices, and data can be locked and obtained in the synchronous trigger mode. That is, after receiving the synchronous trigger signal, data in the cache area of the front-end hardware device can be locked, and then read and stored. Purpose This study aims to design a failure analysis system prototype based on the event-timing technique. Methods Two core parts of the prototype were implemented: global high-precision timestamp implementation and data assembly and acquisition analysis. As one of the key factors, the global high-precision time stamping of failure data was applied to analyzing failure causes. Based on a high-performance rubidium atomic clock and the event-timing system, high-precision time stamps were implemented in this prototype with synchronization accuracy better than 16 ns to provide global high-precision time stamps for time data. Structured data based on the normative type of EPICS 7 was adopted for assembling and publishing the data. Essential information, including the system name, the subsystem name, the device name, the device card number, the data sampling frequency, the event timestamp, and the latched data, was obtained from the structured data. Results The prototype experiment results show that the failure sequence of different equipment can be distinguished by the obtained high-precision time data, confirming the high feasibility of our proposed failure analysis system. Conclusions The prototype designed in this study meets the requirements for rapid failure analysis of particle accelerators. And this prototype will be applied to the CSNS accelerator in the near future. In addition, it can also be applied to EPICS-based and event-timing based accelerator control systems.

BackgroundVery small angle neutron scattering (VSANS) instrument is a powerful tool for structure calibration.PurposeThis study aims to ensure the repeat positioning accuracy is better than ±2 μm for the moving parts of VSANS instrument at China spallation neutron source (CSNS).MethodsA prototype motion control system based on experimental physics and industrial control system (EPICS) software architecture was designed. The stepper motor was used to drive the movement of the displacement platform, the absolute optical encoder was applied to feedback of the real-time position of the displacement platform, and the Beckhoff embedded controller was employed to implement the full closed loop control of the position of the displacement platform.Results & ConclusionsThe test results show that the repeat positioning accuracy of this prototype motion control system is better than ±2 μm with high stability and high reliability, satisfying the needs of the VSANS instrument at CSNS.

In recent years, "green" cellulose nanopaper made of nanocellulose has been considered as an alternative substrate for flexible electronics due to its unsurpassed quintessential physical and chemical properties, for example, biodegradability, light mass, mechanical flexibility, transparency, thermal stability, and compatible with well-established roll-to-roll manufacturing techniques. Nanopaper substrates for flexible electronics have gradually been a hotspot of research in academic and industrial community due to the increasing environmental concerns on electronic waste. The latest progresses in nanopaper substrates for flexible electronics were reviewed. The preparation, properties, and device applications of nanopaper substrates were elucidated in details, with specific emphasis on the current application status of nanopaper substrates in organic thin-film transistors, solar cells, and organic light emitting diodes. Moreover, several personal insights on the existing challenges and future research direction of nanopaper substrates were considered based on current advances.

Olfaction is essential in some behaviors of honeybee, such as nursing, foraging, attracting a mate, social communication, and kin recognition. OBPs (odorant binding proteins) play a key role in the first step of olfactory perception. Here, we focused on a classic OBP with a PBP-GOBP domain from the Asian honeybee, Apis cerana cerana. Beyond that, the mRNA expression profiles and the binding affinity of AcerOBP6 were researched. According to qRT-PCR analysis, AcerOBP6 transcripts were mainly expressed in the antennae of forager bees. In addition, we found that the expression level of AcerOBP6 was higher than that of AmelOBP6. The fluorescence competitive binding assay indicated that the AcerOBP6 protein had binding affinity with most of the tested odors, including queen pheromone, worker pheromone, and floral volatiles, among which the strongest one was linolenic acid (with a Ki value of 1.67). However, AcerOBP6 was not sensitive to the brood pheromones. A further study based on EAG assay revealed that the antennae had the strongest response to 2-heptanone. The EAG recording values of the selected ligands were all reduced after AcerOBP6 was silenced, with 8 of 14 declining significantly (p < 0.01) given that these odors could specifically bind to AcerOBP6. As revealed in our current study, AcerOBP6 might be a crucial protein involved in olfactory recognition for foraging. Overall, the research provides a foundation for exploring the olfactory mechanism of A. cerana cerana.

HSP110 functions to protect cells, tissues, and organs from noxious conditions. Vasectomy induces apoptosis in the testis; however, little is known about the reason leading to this outcome. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the expression and function of HSP110 in mouse testis after vasectomy. Following bilateral vasectomy, we used fluorescent Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) to detect apoptosis, Western blotting and immunohistochemistry to examine HSP110 expression and localization. Serum antisperm antibody (AsAb) and testosterone were measured by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and radioimmunoassay, respectively. Expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) sensors and downstream signaling components was measured by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR), and the phosphorylation of eIF2α and JNK was detected by Western blotting. Vasectomy induced morphologic changes, increased apoptosis in the testis, increased serum AsAb, and decreased testosterone levels. After vasectomy, ORP150 mRNA level was increased first and then decreased, Bcl-2 was decreased, and the expression of HSPA4l, GRP78, GADD153, PERK, ATF6, IRE-1, XBP-1s, Bax, Bak, and caspases and the phosphorylation of eIF2α and JNK were increased. We present that an ER stress-mediated pathway is activated and involved in apoptosis in the testis after vasectomy. HSPA4l and ORP150 may play important roles in maintaining the normal structure and function of testis.

Carbon-based materials, as some of the most important electrode materials for supercapacitors (SC), have spurred enormous attentions. Now, it is highly desirable but remains an open challenge to design stable and high-capacity carbons for further enhancing supercapacitive function. Here, a facile chemical activation recipe is introduced to develop biomass-derived functional carbons using cheap and abundant natural resources, anthracite, as the heteroatom-rich carbon sources, and potassium hydroxide (KOH) as activator. These porous carbons have high BET surface areas of roughly 2814 m2 g−1, large pore volumes of up to 1.531 cm3 g−1, and a high porosity that combines micro- and small-sized mesopores. The optimal nanocarbon features two additional outstanding virtues: an appropriate N-doping level (2.77%) and a uniform pore size distribution in the narrow range of 1−4 nm. Synergy of the above unique structural traits and desirable chemical composition endows resultant samples with the much boosted supercapacitive property with remarkable specific capacitance at varied current densities (e.g., 325 F g−1 at 0.5 A/g), impressive energy/power density, and long cycling stability over 5000 cycles at 10 A g−1 (92% capacity retention). When constructing the symmetric supercapacitor utilizing a common neutral Na2SO4 electrolyte that can strongly circumvent the corrosion effect occurring in the strong acid/alkaline solutions, both an elevated operation voltage at 1.8 V and a fascinating energy density of 23.5 Wh kg−1 are attained. The current study paves the way to explore the stable, efficient, and high-voltage SC assembled by the anthracite-derived porous doped nanocarbons for a wide spectrum of applications like automobiles, vehicle devices, and so on.

The China spallation neutron source (CSNS) was built and started running since 2018. It produces neutrons by impinging 1.6 GeV protons onto a tungsten target with 25 Hz repetition frequency. A beam line exploiting the back-streaming neutrons (Back-n) was built mainly for nuclear data measurement and started commissioning simultaneously with CSNS in 2018. There are two experimental endstations along the Back-n beam line: endstation 1 (#ES1) with a neutron flight path of about 55 m and endstation 2 (#ES2) with about 76 m. The neutron energy spectra of both #ES1 and #ES2 were measured since it is important for feasibility study and analysis. In this paper, the measurement of the neutron energy spectrum of Back-n #ES1 is reported. It is measured by a multi-layer fission chamber using the 235U samples as the neutron converters. The neutron energy spectrum from 0.1 eV to 30 MeV is obtained. The integral neutron flux (from 0.1 eV to 30 MeV) normalized to the proton beam power of 100 kW is 1.55×107 neutrons/cm2/s.

In the past two decades cooperating with Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics (FLNP), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) measurements of (n, α) reaction cross sections for 6Li, 10B, 25Mg, 39K, 40Ca, 54,56,57 Fe, 58Ni, 63Cu, 64,67 Zn, 95Mo, 143Nd and 147,149 Sm nuclei were performed in the MeV neutron energy region based on the 4.5 MV Van de Graaff accelerator at Peking University. In recent years, our measurements were extended in three aspects. Firstly, measurements were expanded from two-body reactions to three-body reactions such as 10B (n, t2 α). Secondly, the neutron energy region was extended from below 8 MeV to 8 - 11 MeV by using the HI-13 tandem accelerator of China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE), with which cross sections of 54,56 Fe(n, α)53,51Cr reactions were measured. Thirdly, based on the newly-built China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Back-n WNS (White Neutron Source), differential and angle-integrated cross sections for 6Li(n, t) and 10B(n, α) reactions were measured in the neutron energy region from 1 eV to 3 MeV.

Differential cross-section data for the n-p and n-d elastic scattering (1H(n, el), 2H(n, el)) are collected and analyzed from EXFOR library. For En > 20 MeV, the experimental results for both reactions are scarce with large uncertainties and discrepancies in general. For En ≤ 20 MeV, the experimental results lack systematicness, most of which were measured around En = 14 MeV even though the differential cross sections of n-p scattering in 1 keV ≤ En ≤ 20 MeV region are recommended as standard. Taking these facts into account, more accurate and systematic measurements are planned. The experiments will be conducted using ΔE-E detectors of the Light-charged Particle Detector Array (LPDA) system at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Back-n White Neutron Source (WNS), and simulations are carried out. Using polyethylene and deuterated polyethylene as samples, both n-p and n-d scattering reactions are simulated along with the neutron-induced 12C background reactions, and the 2-D spectra and the counting rates of the ΔE-E detectors are obtained. According to the simulations, the applicable neutron energy range and positions of the detectors are recommended, and the beam time for the event and background measurements is suggested.
