Semaphorins constitute a diverse family of widely expressed transmembrane, diffusible, and GPI-linked proteins with versatile physiologic functions in orchestrating nerve system development, immune homeostasis, angiogenesis, and cell metabolism. Accumulating evidence highlights semaphorins as essential regulators of tumorigenesis by coordinating the cell-cell communications in the tumor microenvironment. Semaphorin 4C (SEMA4C) is a member of the fourth class of semaphorins with high affinity to Plexin-B2 and its interplay with cancer has long been a significant knowledge gap. Here, this perspective summarizes the recent progress in the understanding of SEMA4C in cancer and comprehensively delineates the discovery of SEMA4C in lymphatic vessels of breast cancer, the mechanisms by which SEMA4C promotes the invasiveness, proliferation, metastasis, and drug resistance of breast cancer, and the explorations of leveraging serum SEMA4C in breast cancer detection, highlighting SEMA4C as a critical driver of breast cancer progression, an effective biomarker for breast cancer diagnosis, and potential therapeutic target for breast cancer treatment.

Novel high temperature and transparent cyclic olefin copolymers (COC) derived from bulky cyclic olefin {exo-1,4,4a,9,9a,10-hexahydro-9,10(10,20)-benzeno-l,4-methanoanthracene (EHBMA)} were successfully synthesized by the copolymerization of EHBMA and propylene(PP). The glass transition temperature (Tg) of the resulted COC can be controlled easily by adjusting the feed ratio of the EHBMA and PP. The Tg can be adjusted from 170 to 220℃. The DSC and UV-Vis spectra results show that the Tg and transmittance are up to 220℃ and 92% respectively. The synthesized COC has a Tg about 40℃ higher than that of commercial TOPAS 6017 product. The tensile test showes that the COC material has good mechanical properties. The synthesized COC has high thermal stabilities, good mechanical properties and excellent transparencies, and it will be used in the aerospace, medical and other high-tech fields.

Novel structure bonding materials, J-351 epoxy adhesive film with low curing temperature and liquid modified acrylate SY-50s adhesive were chosen and characterized. The effects of adhesives on the mechanical properties of acrylic were studied. The results reveal that both adhesives have excellent bonding properties to acrylic. The stress-solvent crazing value of J-351 is higher than that of SY-50s. With the application of adhesive on the surface, mechanical properties of acrylic are declined. Casting acrylic shows more drastic decline than that of oriented acrylic. Through the characterization of fracture surface, we find that fracture of tensile sample derives from the side with adhesive. Mechanical properties of acrylic are more sensitive to SY-50s, because the liquid adhesive presents integrate bonding interface with acrylic. The interface between J-351 and acrylic is clear, making acrylic insensitive to J-351 film. Edge attachment strength of samples bonded with J-351 are higher than that of samples bonded with SY-50s due to the effects of adhesives on acrylic. J-351 epoxy adhesive film presents preferable application performance in the structure bonding of aeronautical acrylic.

This is paper is taking the design of wildlife corridor from Mingshui to Hami section of national expressway from Beijing to Urumqi as an example. From January 2015 to May 2018, the project team monitored and studied the wildlife utilization of 13 corridors along the route from Mingshui to Hami. High utilization rate was detected with 3 channels.

In this paper, the author is taking the protection of wildlife for the purpose for researching. The authors are taking the protection of animals and plants specific measures to research in the construction management. Taking the protection of wild animals and plants along the highway in the Xinjiang desert Gobi area as a research object, conservation research was carried out, and protection suggestions and measures were put forward.
