PURPOSE This study aimed to investigate the effects of concurrent core exercises and weight loss on lower back pain, core muscle strength, and balance in middle-aged obese women. METHODS Eighteen middle-aged obese women were randomly assigned to the core exercise with weight loss (CE+WL, n=6), core exercise (CE, n=6), and control (CON, n=6) groups. Moreover, CE was conducted for 60 minutes, three times a week for 8 weeks, with a weight loss goal of approximately 0.5-1 kg per week. All participants underwent measurements of body composition (weight, body mass index, percentage body fat, muscle mass, waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), low back pain (visual analogue scale [VAS]), core muscle strength (hip flexor), and balance (sensory organization, reaction time, and motor control)) before the experiment, at 4 and 8 weeks. 3. Effects of Shoulder Rehabilitation Exercise on Range of Motion, Muscle Activity, Muscle Tone and Manual Muscle Strength after Arthroscopic Bankart Repair in Elite Collegiate Rowing Athlete: Case Report

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of shoulder rehabilitation exercise on range of motion (ROM), muscle activity, muscle tone and manual muscle strength after arthroscopic bankart repair in elite collegiate rowing athlete. METHODS A 22-year-old elite collegiate rowing athlete with nerve decompression surgery for scapular entrapment syndrome in 2019, and arthroscopic bankart repair in 2021 was enrolled in this case study. Shoulder rehabilitation exercise program was received weight bearing and elastic band exercises, and was performed for 50 min/day, and 3 day/week for 8 weeks. ROM (flexion, extension, abduction, internal rotation, external rotation), muscle activity, muscle tone and manual muscle strength (infraspinatus; IFP, teres minor; TM, biceps; BI, lateral deltoid; LD, supraspinatus; SSP, upper trapezius; UT) were measured before, after 4 and 8 weeks of shoulder rehabilitation exercise. RESULTS Shoulder ROM increased at flexion, extension, abduction, internal rotation, external rotation after shoulder rehabilitation exercise. Muscle tone increased at IFP, TM, LD, SSP, and UT, but BI decreased after shoulder rehabilitation exercise. Muscle activity and manual muscle strength increased at IFP, TM, BI, LD, SSP, UT after shoulder rehabilitation exercise. CONCLUSIONS The results of this case report confirmed that shoulder rehabilitation exercise had a positive effect on the muscular physiological indices after arthroscopic bankart repair in elite collegiate rowing athlete.

6. Urinary Metabolomics in Young Soccer Players after Winter Training Season

During the off-season, soccer players in Korea attend the winter training season (WTS) to build running stamina for the next season. For young soccer players, proper recovery time is needed to prevent injury or muscle damage. In this study, urinary metabolites in young players after 1, 5, and 10 days of the WTS were analyzed using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) combined with multivariate analysis to suggest appropriate recovery times for improving their soccer skills. After NMR analysis of the urine samples obtained from young players, 79 metabolites were identified, and each group (1, 5, or 10 days after WTS) was separated from the before the WTS group in the target profiling analysis using partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA). Of these, 15 metabolites, including 1-methylnicotinamide, 3-indoxylsulfate, galactarate, glutamate, glycerol, histamine, methylmalonate, maltose, N-phenylacetylglycine, trimethylamine, urea, 2-hydroxybutyrate, adenine, alanine, and lactate, were significantly different than those from before the WTS and were mainly involved in the urea, purine nucleotide, and glucose-alanine cycles. In this study, most selected metabolites increased 1 day after the WTS and then returned to normal levels. However, 4 metabolites, adenine, 2-hydroxybutyrate, alanine, and lactate, increased during the 5 days of recovery time following the WTS. Based on excess ammonia, adenine, and lactate levels in the urine, at least 5 days of recovery time can be considered appropriate.

7. Dual vascular free transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap for hemifacial reconstruction in a vessel-depleted neck

Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common skin malignancy. This report describes the case of an unusual extensive SCC involving the whole hemiface, which required reconstruction with a combination of a dual vascular free transverse rectus abdominis muscle (TRAM) flap and a skin graft. A 79-year-old woman visited our hospital with multiple large ulcerated erythematous patches on her right hemiface, including the parieto-temporal scalp, bulbar and palpebral conjunctiva, cheek, and lip. A preliminary multifocal biopsy was performed in order to determine the resection margin, and the lesion was resected en bloc. Orbital exenteration was also performed. A free TRAM flap was harvested with preserved bilateral pedicles and was anastomosed with a single superior thyroidal vessel. The entire TRAM flap survived. The final pathological examination of the resected specimen confirmed that there was no regional nodal metastasis, perineural invasion, or lymphovascular involvement. The patient was observed for 6 months, and there was no evidence of local recurrence. Usage of a TRAM flap is appropriate for hemifacial reconstruction because the skin of the abdomen matches the color and pliability of the face. Furthermore, we found that the independent attachment of two extra-flap anastomoses to a single recipient vessel can safely result in survival of the flap.

8. ICT-Based Health Care Services for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries: A Feasibility Study

In the Republic of Korea, 90.5% of those living with spinal cord injury (SCI) are faced with medical complications that require chronic care. Some of the more common ones include urinary tract infections, pressure sores, and pain symptomatology. These and other morbidities have been recognized to deteriorate the individual’s health, eventually restricting their community participation. Telerehabilitation, using information and communication technology, has propelled a modern-day movement in providing comprehensive medical services to patients who have difficulty in mobilizing themselves to medical care facilities. This study aims to verify the effectiveness of health care and management in the SCI population by providing ICT-based health care services. We visited eight individuals living with chronic SCI in the community, and provided ICT-based health management services. After using respiratory and urinary care devices with the provision of home visit occupational therapy, data acquisition was achieved and subsequently entered into a smart device. The entered information was readily accessible to the necessary clinicians and researchers. The clients were notified if there were any concerning results from the acquired data. Subsequently, they were advised to follow up with their providers for any immediate medical care requirements. Digital hand-bike ergometers and specialized seating system cushions are currently in development. The ICT-based health care management service for individuals with SCI resulted in a favorable expected level of outcome. Based on the results of this study, we have proposed and are now in preparation for a randomized clinical trial.

11. Lymphatic Vessels Mapping in the Lower Extremities of a Healthy Asian Population

Purpose: Intraoperative indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography is an effective tool to obtain real-time video images of functioning lymph vessels in edematous limbs. However, it is difficult to identify the course of lymph vessels in obese patients or patients with large dermal backflow. Without the image, surgeons have to rely on their experience when performing the skin incision to locate the lymphatic vessels. This study focused on elucidating lymphatic vessel flow patterns in healthy lower extremities in an Asian population to refer these findings for lymphedema treatment.Methods: ICG fluorescence lymphography was performed by injecting 0.2 mL of ICG into the first web space of the foot. After 4 hours, fluorescence images of lymphatic vessels were obtained and the lymphatic vessels were marked. Three landmarks were designated; the medial malleolus, the medial patellar border, and the groin femoral artery. Straight lines connecting the points were drawn, and the distance between the connected lines and the marked lymphatic vessels was measured in eight points. Results: Fifteen subjects with healthy lower extremities (15 right and 15 left) were included. The average course of the main lymph vessels passed 26.2±18.0 mm dorsally to the medial malleolus, 53.7±35.7 mm medially to the medial patellar border, and 25.5±19.2 mm medially to the three-quarters point of the upper landmark line.Conclusion: The main functioning lymphatic vessel largely follows the great saphenous vein course, passes in front of the medial malleolus, runs over the posterior border of the medial epicondyle at the knee level, and travels anteriorly toward the inguinal lymph nodes.

12. ICT-Based Customized Off-Loading Cushion to Prevent Pressure Ulcers for People with Spinal Cord Injury: A Pilot Study

- Abstract
The wheelchair cushion is one of the intervention methods for preventing pressure ulcers in people with spinal cord injuries. Recently, a customized wheelchair cushion along with off-loading technology that distributes pressure by removing the seat surface in contact with the bony protrusion of the buttocks in the sitting position is attracting attention. In spite of this, they are exposed to the risk of secondary pressure ulcers because they cannot recognize their body pressure distribution and unintended posture changes due to sensory dysfunction. Accordingly, we developed an ICT-based off-loading cushion that can monitor the pressure distribution and pelvis alignment in a sitting position in real-time. People with spinal cord injuries who participated in the pilot study were satisfied with the device and service, and the ICT-based customized off-loading cushion had a positive psychosocial effect on them. We hope that this will contribute to improving the quality of life by preventing pressure ulcers in people with spinal cord injuries.

Purpose: COVID-19 guidelines for persons with disabilities published globally during the early phase of the pandemic by non-governmental organizations and federal agencies were reviewed and analyzed by trends of information provided under various settings. Method: The Google search engine was used by applying the following search terms: COVID-19, Coronavirus 2019, Disability, and Guidelines. Search efforts yielded 514 records from 1 December 2019 to 16 May 2020. The selected 26 guidelines were classified for analysis by organizations (NGOs, non-profit, and governmental institutions), information provided (risks, prevention, and countermeasures), target group (people with disability, service and support providers, and family members), and environmental setting (hospital, community, and home). Results: Government agencies from eight countries published results. Eight of the 26 guidelines were presented by non-governmental organizations, and 18 were not. There were 15 guidelines for individuals with disabilities, seven for service providers, staff, and families providing care, and four addressing both the individuals with a disability and care providers. In terms of appropriate environment and scope, there were 19 guidelines produced for community, government, home, and hospital. The information predominantly presented regarded the prevention of COVID-19 with 22 sources, followed by general information containing risks and response strategies. Conclusion: The majority of the published guidelines focused primarily on the risks and prevention of COVID-19 for people with disabilities. Future procedures should include specific methods in guiding COVID-19 response strategies for the disabled and caregivers who provide essential health services with access to online resources in multiple languages and dialects.

Abdominal tissue transfer has become the most commonly used tool for breast reconstruction. However, a secondary operator is often responsible for donor closure, which leaves dissatisfaction to patients due to inconsistent donor scars. Now, an absorbable dermal stapler is popularized worldwide and currently used for wound closure in many surgical fields. In this study, we aim to evaluate the abdominal donor site scar in using an absorbable dermal staple compared to a conventional suture.This is a prospective, randomized controlled and double-blinded study. Between January 2018 and April 2019, a total of 30 patients who underwent breast reconstruction using abdominal flap were included. Donor sites were divided into equal halves, and the each dermal layer was sutured with either dermal staples or traditional suturing, respectively. At 1, 3 and 6 months after operation, the scar was evaluated by two blinded plastic surgeons by using the modified Manchester scar scale (MSS).An averaged sum of modified MSS was lower for the side sutured with a dermal stapler at the first month (11.76 ± 2.12 vs. 12.28 ± 2.03, p = 0.097), third month (12.17 ± 1.86 vs. 12.62 ± 2.31, p = 0.301) and sixth month (11.28 ± 2.63 vs. 12.14 ± 2.76, p = 0.051). Also, the dermal stapler side scored significantly higher for patient satisfaction than did the suture side (4.03 ± 0.98 vs 3.66 ± 0.97, p 0.05).The objective outcome of the scar closed by an absorbable dermal stapler was not statistically superior to conventional suturing. (p 0.05) In the subjective outcome, however, it showed a significantly higher patients' satisfaction (p 0.05).This journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article. A virtual power plant (VPP) technology is a cluster of distributed generation installations. VPP system is that integrates several types of distributed generation sources, so as to give a reliable overall power supply. Virtual power plant systems play a key role in the smart grids concept and the move towards alternative sources of energy. They ensure improved integration of the renewable energy generation into the grids and the electricity market. VPPs not only deal with the supply side, but also help manage demand and ensure reliability of grid functions through demand response (DR) and other load shifting approaches in real time. In this paper, utilizing a variety of distributed generation resources(such as emergency generator, commercial generator, energy storage device), activation scheme of the virtual power plant technology. In addition, through the analysis of the domestic electricity market, it describes a scheme that can be a virtual power plant to participate in electricity market. It attempts to derive the policy support recommendation in order to obtain the basics to the prepared in position of power generation companies for the commercialization of virtual power plant.

Recently, proportion of the induction motor load is gradually increased. When a contingency in the power systems, it has been discovered phenomenon that the voltage is delayed recover caused mechanical characteristics of the induction motor load. It can be a serious impact on the voltage stability of the power system considering induction motor load. The scheme to mitigate this phenomenon tripping off the motors to prevent voltage drop and delayed voltage recovery on the load demand side. Fault induced delayed voltage recovery phenomenon is caused by stalling of small induction motor load in transmission level contingencies. In this paper, fault induced delayed voltage recovery phenomenon mitigation method implementation under voltage load shedding on the korean power system considering induction motor load.

An electric power system sometimes fails because of disturbances that occur unexpectedly, such as the uncontrolled loss of load that developed from cascading blackout. Which make stability through a little of under voltage load shedding should work. The development of phasor measurement unit(PMU) makes network supervision possible. The information obtained from PMU is synchronized by global positioning system(GPS). There are many real-time algorithms which are monitoring the voltage stability. This paper presents the study on the VILS(Voltage Instability Load Shedding) using PMU data. This algorithm computes Voltage Stability Margin Index(VSMI) continuously to track the voltage stability margin at local bus level. The VSMI is expressed as active and reactive power. The VSMI is used as an criterion for load shedding. In order to examine the algorithm is effective, applied to KEPCO system. This work has been conducted to investigate the behavior of pesticides in ginseng(Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) cultivation environment, with a fungicide procymidone as a model pesticide. Procymidone adsorption on ginseng cultivating soil was studied and persistency of procymidone in soil was monitored in indoor incubation experiments at 25 and 10. The soil adsorption coefficients() of procymidone were in the range of 513743 suggesting the mobility of procymidone in soil is relatively low. Procymidone showed higher persistency in soil under indoor incubation condition than outdoor field condition. The half lives estimated from the first order reaction kinetics were 248 days and 330 days at 25 and 10, respectively.
