Background: The appropriateness of hypertension thresholds for triggering action to prevent cardiovascular and renal complications among non-White populations in the UK is subject to question. Our objective was to establish ethnicity-specific systolic blood pressure (SBP) cutoffs for ethnic minority populations and assess the efficacy of these ethnicity-specific cutoffs in predicting adverse outcomes. Methods: We analyzed data from UK Biobank, which included 444,418 participants from White, South Asian, Black Caribbean, and Black African populations with no history of cardiorenal complications. We fitted Poisson regression models with continuous SBP and ethnic groups, using Whites as the referent category, for the composite outcome of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. We determined ethnicity-specific thresholds equivalent to the risks observed in Whites at SBP levels of 120, 130, and 140 mm Hg. We adjusted models for clinical characteristics, sociodemographic factors, and behavioral factors. The performance of ethnicity-specific thresholds for predicting adverse outcomes and associated population-attributable fraction (PAF) was assessed in ethnic minority groups. Results: After a median follow-up of 12.5 years (interquartile range, 11.7–13.2), 32,662 (7.4%) participants had incident composite outcomes. At any given SBP, the predicted incidence rate of the composite outcome was the highest for South Asians, followed by White, Black Caribbean, and Black African. For an equivalent risk of outcomes observed in the White population at an SBP level of 140 mm Hg, the SBP threshold was lower for South Asians (123 mm Hg) and higher for Black Caribbean (156 mm Hg) and Black African (165 mm Hg). Furthermore, hypertension defined by ethnicity-specific thresholds was a stronger predictor and resulted in a larger PAF for composite outcomes in South Asians (21.5% [95% CI, 2.4,36.9] vs. 11.3% [95% CI, 2.6,19.1]) and Black Africans (7.1% [95% CI, 0.2,14.0] vs. 5.7 [95% CI, -16.2,23.5]) compared to hypertension defined by guideline-recommended thresholds. Conclusions: Guideline-recommended blood pressure thresholds may overestimate risks for the Black population and underestimate risks for South Asians. Using ethnicity-specific SBP thresholds may improve risk estimation and optimize hypertension management toward the goal of eliminating ethnic disparities in cardiorenal complications. Background: 1P36 deletion syndrome is recognized as the most common terminal microdeletion syndrome in humans, characterized by early developmental delay and consequent intellectual disability, seizure disorder, and distinctive facial features. Variable deletion locations may attributed to phenotypic variability. However, the abnormal phenotypes of hematology are rarely reported in 1P36 deletion syndrome patients. Case presentation: We present a case of postnatal intellectual disability accompanied by pancytopenia. Copy number variation analysis revealed a pathogenic deletion in 1p36.331p36.32 with a deletion size of 2.21 Mb. Following successful treatment with glucocorticoids, the patient was diagnosed with immuno-related hemocytopenia (IRH). Discussion: The patient experienced IRH, an uncommon characteristic of 1p36 deletion syndrome. The deletion fragment of 1p36.33-p36.32, particularly the loss of GNB1 gene, has been associated with the development of pancytopenia. Genotype-phenotype correlations are valuable in identifying the genes responsible for various clinical characteristics of the syndrome by associating phenotypic variation with specific genes located within the chromosome deletion region. The Wilson fermion (WF) is a fundamental particle in the theory of quantum chromodynamics. Theoretical calculations have shown that the WF with a half skyrmion profile represents a quantum anomalous semimetal phase supporting a chiral edge current, but the experimental evidence is still lacking. In this work, we report a direct observation of the WF in circuit systems. We find that WFs manifest as topological spin textures analogous to the half skyrmion, half-skyrmion pair, and Néel skyrmion structures, depending on their mass. Transformations of different WF states are realized by tuning the electric elements. We further experimentally observe the propagation of chiral edge current along the domain-wall separating two circuits with contrast fractional Chern numbers. The macroscopic stretchability of ionomer melts strongly relies on the structural evolution during the elongational flow. It has been noted that the introduction of the secondary associations weaker than the ionic association can improve the stretchability. To understand the mechanism, this study examines the stretchability of unentangled ionomers containing a fixed number of ionic groups per chain, f ion ≅ 4 , but a varied number of hydrogen bonds per chain, fH = 5.5–27. The stretchability that is reflected in the maximum Hencky strain achieved before rupture shows nonmonotonous change with fH: the stretchability improves with increasing fH from 5.5 to 14 while it decreases upon further increasing fH to 27. The former improvement is attributed to the slowing down of chain retraction after the strain-induced dissociation of ionic groups. The slowing down would suppress the formation of defects or small cracks that potentially grow into the fracture. This mechanism, i.e., strain-induced dissociation followed by the chain retraction, holds only in a window where the elongational rate is faster than the ionic dissociation rate but slower than the chain retraction rate. This study examines the linear viscoelasticity of double-associative ionomers based on poly(hexyl methacrylate). The ionomer samples are unentangled and contain a fixed number of ionic stickers per chain, f ion ≅ 4 , but a varied number of hydrogen-bonding stickers per chain, fH = 5.5–27. Increasing fH has distinct effects on the glassy and rubbery dynamics. On the one hand, the glassy relaxation mode distribution broadens, and the glassy-to-rubbery transition region delays significantly with increasing fH. On the other hand, the delay of the ionic dissociation and, accordingly, the terminal relaxation (activated by continuous ionic dissociations) are much weaker. This contrast suggests that the ionic dissociation is not only activated by the segmental motion of the main backbone but is also partly activated by the motion of the side chains that is less dependent on fH. In this report we present a second-order, stabilized SAV based, Crank–Nicolson leap-frog (CNLF) ensemble method, and perform a comprehensive numerical study of it as well as the Crank–Nicolson ensemble method with a linear extrapolation (CNLE) presented in Jiang and Yang (SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 43:A2869–A2896, 2021). Both methods are extremely efficient as only one linear system with multiple right hands needs to be solved at each time for a (potentially large) number of realizations of the flow problems. In particular the coefficient matrix of the fully discretized system is a constant matrix that does not change from one time step to another. Tomato Fusarium crown and root rot (FCRR) is an extremely destructive soil-borne disease. To date, studies have shown that only plants with tomato mosaic virus (TMV) resistance exhibit similar resistance to tomato Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici (FORL) and have identified a single relevant gene, Frl, in Peruvian tomato. Due to the relative lack of research on FCRR disease-resistance genes in China and elsewhere, transcriptome data for FORL-resistant (cv. '19912') and FORL-susceptible (cv. 'Moneymaker') tomato cultivars were analysed for the first time in this study. The number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) was higher in Moneymaker than in 19912, and 189 DEGs in the 'plant–pathogen interaction' pathway were subjected to GO and KEGG enrichment analyses. MAPK and WRKY genes were enriched in major metabolic pathways related to plant disease resistance; thus, we focused on these two gene families. In the early stage of tomato infection, the content of JA and SA increased, but the change in JA was more obvious. Fourteen genes were selected for confirmation of their differential expression levels by qRT-PCR. White clover (Trifolium repens L.) is an important legume forage, which is widely distributed in cool-season regions. Therefore, cold stress is a major environmental factor limiting its growth and production, while little is known about the its cold tolerance at molecular level. In the present study, we performed time-course RNA-seq analysis under cold stress. RNA-seq results suggested that genes associated with "oxidoreductase activity" and "transcription regulator activity" are more likely related to the response of white clover to cold stress. To identify the specific gene modules and the hub genes of white clover in response to cold stress, we applied weighted gene co-expression network analyses (WGCNA) to transcriptome data. We also found that gene modules that focus on protein kinase activity, DNA-binding transcription factor activity and oxidoreductase activity, are more likely to be involved in the response of white clover to cold stress. Especially, we identified several AP2/ERF TF genes and CDPK genes as pivotal genes in white clover in response to cold stress, which would provide helpful insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the response of white clover to cold stress. Background: Wogonin (5, 7-dihydroxy-8-methoxyflavone) is a natural di-hydroxyl flavonoid extracted from the root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. This paper was intended to investigate the mechanism of action of wogonin in alleviating the inflammation and apoptosis in acute lung injury (ALI).Materials and Methods: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was used to establish the in vitro model of ALI. After wogonin treatment, the cell viability and apoptosis of LPS-induced A549 cells were, respectively, measured by CCK-8, TUNEL assays and acridine orange/ethidium bromide dual staining, while the contents of inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress markers were estimated by RT-qPCR, ELISA assay, western blot analysis and commercial kits. Western blot was also conducted to assess the expression of proteins involved. Subsequently, the effect of wogonin on the sirtuin 1 (SIRT1)-mediated high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) deacetylation was investigated. SIRT1 inhibitor EX527 was used to evaluate the regulatory effects of wogonin on SIRT1-mediated HMGB1 deacetylation in A549 cells under LPS stimulation.Results: LPS induced inflammation, oxidative stress and apoptosis of A549 cells, which was abolished by wogonin. It was also found that wogonin promoted the HMGB1 deacetylation, accompanied by upregulated SIRT1 expression. However, SIRT1 inhibitor EX527 partially reversed the protective effects of wogonin on the inflammation and apoptosis of LPS-induced A549 cells.Conclusion: Wogonin alleviated the inflammation and apoptosis in LPS-induced A549 cells by SIRT1-mediated HMGB1 deacetylation, which might represent the identification of a novel mechanism by which wogonin exerts protective effects on ALI and provide ideas for the application of wogonin to ALI treatment. A novel integration strategy of microstrip antenna and metasurface is proposed to achieve low-radar cross section (RCS) and improved radiation performance simultaneously. Aimed at the applications in stealth cylindrical carrier, the antenna has a circular configuration, and the metasurface cells are closely arranged around the radiation patch in a concentric ring-type manner. Moreover, the mode analysis method is fully used to analyze the antenna’s working mechanism and guide the optimization process. Owing to the addition of metallic vias, the original quasi-TM30 mode is altered to three series-TM10 modes and thus enhanced gain is achieved. Interestingly, the addition of vias also generates a new resonance which widen the antenna’s impedance bandwidth. In another aspect, both in-band and out-of-band RCS reductions are obtained simultaneously. Finally, two prototypes are fabricated to validate the proposed design strategy. Good agreements between measurements and simulations are obtained. Measured results show that the gain of the proposed antenna is at least 3 dB higher than the conventional antenna in the entire operating band, and obvious RCS reduction is achieved from 4.0 to 8.5 GHz concurrently. Radar cross section (RCS) reduction in the working band of antennas, likely leading to radiation performance change or deterioration, is quite difficult for both antenna elements and arrays. Aimed at this problem, this article presents a novel design strategy of microstrip patch antennas with low in-band RCS. This strategy combines metasurface with antenna from the perspectives of both structure and electrical performance. To be specific, anisotropic metasurface is proposed to replace the conventional patch and behave as the radiating structure of the antenna directly, which does not increase the original antenna size. Through proper connection of the metasurface units, the novel antenna has the same radiation performance with conventional microstrip antenna but low in-band RCS for any polarized incidence. The radiation and scattering mechanism of the novel antenna is carefully elaborated, from which a frequency reconfigurable antenna is also derived by loading varactors. Furthermore, different design strategies of low in-band-RCS antenna element and array are clarified. On the basis of which, a $4 \times 4$ array is developed to achieve in-band-RCS reduction with radiation performance kept. Background: APETALA2/ethylene responsive factor (AP2/ERF) transcription factors are a plant-specific family of transcription factors and one of the largest families of transcription factors. Ethylene response factors (ERF) regulate plant growth, development, and responses to biotic and abiotic stress. In a previous study, the ERF2 gene was significantly upregulated in both resistant and susceptible tomato cultivars in response to Stemphylium lycopersici. The main purpose of this study was to systematically analyze the ERF family and to explore the mechanism of ERF2 in tomato plants resisting pathogen infection by the Virus-induced Gene Silencing technique. Results: In this experiment, 134 ERF genes were explored and subjected to bioinformatic analysis and divided into twelve groups. The spatiotemporal expression characteristics of ERF transcription factor gene family in tomato were diverse. Combined with RNA-seq, we found that the expression of 18 ERF transcription factors increased after inoculation with S. lycopersici. In ERF2-silenced plants, the susceptible phenotype was observed after inoculation with S. lycopersici. The hypersensitive response and ROS production were decreased in the ERF2-silenced plants. Physiological analyses showed that the superoxide dismutase, peroxidase and catalase activities were lower in ERF2-silenced plants than in control plants, and the SA and JA contents were lower in ERF2-silenced plants than in control plants after inoculation with S. lycopersici. Furthermore, the results indicated that ERF2 may directly or indirectly regulate Pto, PR1b1 and PR-P2 expression and enhance tomato resistance. Conclusions: In this study, we identified and analyzed members of the tomato ERF family by bioinformatics methods and classified, described and analyzed these genes. Subsequently, we used VIGS technology to significantly reduce the expression of ERF2 in tomatoes. The results showed that ERF2 had a positive effect on tomato resistance to S. lycopersici. Interestingly, ERF2 played a key role in multiple SA, JA and ROS signaling pathways to confer resistance to invasion by S. lycopersici. In addition, ERF2 may directly or indirectly regulate Pto, PR1b1 and PR-P2 expression and enhance tomato resistance to S. lycopersici. In this report we propose two highly efficient ensemble algorithms incorporating the gPAV and the rotational pressure correction methods for computing Stokes-Darcy flow ensembles. All variables are fully decoupled including the three components of the velocity, leading to smaller linear systems to be solved at each time step. Moreover, all ensemble members share the same constant coefficient matrix for which the fast block CG method can be applied for computing the ensemble at one pass at significantly reduced computational cost. We prove the two new ensemble algorithms are unconditionally stable with respect to the modified energy without any constraints on the uncertain parameters or the time steps. We will provide details of implementation and discuss how to efficiently solve the corresponding linear systems. Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is the most common nutrient-related health problem in the world. There is still a lack of comprehensive comparative study on the efficacies of commonly used iron supplements such as polysaccharide iron complex (PIC), iron protein succinylate (IPS) and ferrous succinate (FS) for IDA. In this study, we compared the PIC, IPS and FS efficacies in IDA rats via intragastric administration. The results showed that the three iron supplements had similar efficacies. PIC/IPS/FS at a dose of 15 mg Fe/kg/d for 10 d increased the hematological and serum biochemical parameters to 2.15/2.12/2.18 (Hb), 1.71/1.67/1.69 (RBC), 2.10/2.11/2.12 (HCT), 1.26/1.22/1.22 (MCV), all 1.34 (MCH), 1.15/1.15/1.14 (MCHC), 1.94/1.82/1.91 (SF), 9.75/9.67/9.53 (SI), and 23.30/22.68/21.64 (TS) times, and reduced TIBC to 0.42/0.43/0.44 times, compared to untreated IDA rats. PIC performed slightly better than IPS and FS in restoring MCV level. Meanwhile, the heart, spleen and kidney coefficients reduced to 67%/74%/65% (heart), all 59% (spleen) and 87%/88%/88% (kidney), and the liver coefficient increased to 116%/115%/116%, compared to untreated IDA rats. The liver iron content was found to be more affected by IDA than the spleen iron content. PIC/IPS/FS at 15 mg Fe/kg/d increased organ iron contents to 4.20/3.97/4.03 times (liver) and 1.36/1.24/1.41 times (spleen) within 10 d compared to untreated IDA rats, and PIC-H and FS were slightly better than IPS in restoring spleen iron content. The results of this study can provide useful data information for the comparison of three iron supplements, PIC, IPS and FS. Daylily (Hemerocallis citrina Borani), a widespread ornamental plant around the world, has been considered as an ideal model to study flower development recently. To initiate the research to comprehensively investigate the molecular mechanism of the flower development of daylily, we performed a transcriptome sequencing study to establish the transcriptional profiles of this plant at different flower developmental stages. Briefly, we divided the flower development of daylily into six stages, and performed transcriptome sequencing for the samples collected from each stage. A total of 56,598 unique transcripts were obtained, of which 35,424 ones (about 62.6%) encode proteins with known functions based on homology searches against well-studied model plants. The expression profiles of these genes showed that 7,395 genes were differentially expressed during flower development. Further functional enrichment analysis for these differentially expressed genes revealed that they are enriched in the processes of translation, oxidation-reduction, and cell wall metabolism, suggesting the critical roles of these processes in daylily flower development. Metal phthalocyanines (MPcs) represent a promising class of single-atom catalysts with diverse structures, high thermal stability, and versatile chemical properties. In this work, we have computationally screened nineteen MPcs (metal M = V–Zn, Mo–Ag, and W–Pt ordered based on the atomic number) to assess their suitability as electrochemical oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts, with consideration of a broad range of experimental conditions, including the oxygen adsorption, temperature effects, partial pressure, solvation effects, pH effects, and demetallation decomposition. Using density functional theory calculations based on the hybrid functional, we find that the ORR behaviors on these MPcs fall into three categories, which are characterized by their distinct oxygen adsorption ability. We correctly predict the experimental ORR performance trend of common MPcs and forecast Rh−, Ir−, Ru−, and MnPc as the four most effective ORR catalysts, outperforming the state-of-the-art FePc in terms of catalytic activity and stability. Background: Mitochondrial genome (mt-genome) data can potentially return artefactual relationships in the higher-level phylogenetic inference of insects due to the biases of accelerated substitution rates and compositional heterogeneity. Previous studies based on mt-genome data alone showed a paraphyly of Cimicomorpha (Insecta, Hemiptera) due to the positions of the families Tingidae and Reduviidae rather than the monophyly that was supported based on morphological characters, morphological and molecular combined data and large scale molecular datasets. Various strategies have been proposed to ameliorate the effects of potential mt-genome biases, including dense taxon sampling, removal of third codon positions or purine-pyrimidine coding and the use of site-heterogeneous models. In this study, we sequenced the mt-genomes of five additional Tingidae species and discussed the compositional and mutational rate heterogeneity in mt-genomes and its effect on the phylogenetic inferences of Cimicomorpha by implementing the bias-reduction strategies mentioned above. Results: Heterogeneity in nucleotide composition and mutational biases were found in mt protein-coding genes, and the third codon exhibited high levels of saturation. Dense taxon sampling of Tingidae and Reduviidae and the other common strategies mentioned above were insufficient to recover the monophyly of the well-established group Cimicomorpha. When the sites with weak phylogenetic signals in the dataset were removed, the remaining dataset of mt-genomes can support the monophyly of Cimicomorpha; this support demonstrates that mt-genomes possess strong phylogenetic signals for the inference of higher-level phylogeny of this group. Comparison of the ratio of the removal of amino acids for each PCG showed that ATP8 has the highest ratio while CO1 has the lowest. This pattern is largely congruent with the evolutionary rate of 13 PCGs that ATP8 represents the highest evolutionary rate, whereas CO1 appears to be the lowest. Notably, the value of Ka/Ks ratios of all PCGs is less than 1, indicating that these genes are likely evolving under purifying selection. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate that mt-genomes have sites with strong phylogenetic signals for the inference of higher-level phylogeny of Cimicomorpha. Migration and transformation trend of heavy metals have close relationship with soil safety. In this research, we aim to provide reliable basis for prevention and management of local soil contaminants. We choose Anshan tailings for field investigations and laboratory research, analyze vertical and horizontal migration characteristics of five heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, and Cr) and the role of Amaranthus blitoides in tailings. According to Single factor contaminant index and Nemerow composite index, the five heavy metals condition different migration trend in the vertical direction (Cd > Zn > Cr > Pb > Cu) in the soil properties and threaten the groundwater of Anshan tailings. They had strong migration capability in horizontal direction resulting in surrounding pollution. The highest migration capability was found in Cr followed by Pb > Zn > Cd > Cu under specific climatic condition. In this paper, we have studied the different surface oxygen chemisorption behaviors of two-dimensional FCC metal surfaces of Al and Cu with increasing thickness N by first-principles calculations. The charge transfer from substrate to adsorbate O atom is mainly contributed by surface atoms in the Al system, but by surface associated with sub-surface atoms in the Cu system. The shorter Al-O bonding length shows stronger bond strength and interaction than that of Cu O bonding. The thickness-dependence of the binding energy E b , work function Φ, and surface energy E surf in Al(1 1 1) not Cu(1 1 1) shows a periodical oscillation due to QSEs. the oscillations of Al_3 p z PDOS mainly contribute to that of TDOS around E F , thus giving an oscillatory energy state contribution to periodic surface energies and reactivities. Further investigation suggests that QSEs are not only z-direction thickness N but also wavevector-dependence, which is maximum at Γ ¯ point resulting from the strong interlayer coupling interaction between 3 p z orbitals. Besides, the wavevector of Al(1 1 1) is maximum at Γ ¯ point resulting from a strong interlayer coupling interaction between 3 p z states but could become quite small at other symmetry points due to weak intralayer coupling between 3 p x,y states. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is one kind of chronic and uncurable diseases that can cause heart failure. Immune microenvironment plays a significant role in PAH. The aim of this study was to assess the role of immune cell infiltration in the pathogenesis of PAH. Differentially expressed genes based on microarray data were enriched in several immune‐related pathways. To evaluate the immune cell infiltration, based on the microarray data sets in the GEO database, we used both ssGSEA and the CIBERSORT algorithm. Additionally, single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) data was used to further explicit the specific role and intercellular communications. Then receiver operating characteristic curves and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator were used to discover and test the potential diagnostic biomarkers for PAH. Both the immune cell infiltration analyses based on the microarray data sets and the cell proportion in scRNA‐seq data exhibited a significant downregulation in the infiltration of monocytes in PAH. Then, the intercellular communications showed that the interaction weighs of most immune cells, including monocytes changed between the control and PAH groups, and the ITGAL‐ITGB2 and ICAM signaling pathways played critical roles in this process. In addition, ITGAM and ICAM2 displayed good diagnosis values in PAH. This study implicated that the change of monocyte was one of the key immunologic features of PAH. Simulation-based optimization of acoustic liner design in a turbofan engine nacelle for noise reduction purposes can dramatically reduce the cost and time needed for experimental designs. Because uncertainties are inevitable in the design process, a stochastic optimization algorithm is posed based on the conditional value-at-risk measure so that an ideal acoustic liner impedance is determined that is robust in the presence of uncertainties. A parallel reduced-order modeling framework is developed that dramatically improves the computational efficiency of the stochastic optimization solver for a realistic nacelle geometry. The reduced stochastic optimization solver takes less than 500 s to execute. In addition, well-posedness and finite element error analyses of the state system and optimization problem are provided. An electronically reconfigurable reflectarray antenna (RRA) with 10\times10 elements is presented with a detailed design procedure for an improved beam-scanning performance. The element, designed at Ku band using a simple patch structure with one PIN diode and two substrate layers, can be electronically controlled to generate two states with 180° phase difference and low reflection loss. A reflectarray prototype is fabricated and experimentally studied for proof of principle. The limitations of the small aperture size are analyzed in detail, and synthetic optimizations of both feed location and aperture phase distribution are used to improve the beam-scanning performance of the prototype. Experimental results agree well with the full-wave simulations, and scan beams within {\pm}{50}^\circ range are obtained with a maximum aperture efficiency of 17.9% at 12.5 GHz. Consistent scan beams are obtained from 11.75 to 13.25 GHz. Furthermore, the versatile beam-forming capability of the RRA is also demonstrated by a wide-beam pattern synthesis. [Display omitted] • The Duolong ore district experienced two periods of exhumation and two periods of burial. • The periods of burial are attributed to northeast-southwest striking fault and thrust nappe structure related to the Lhasa-Qiangtang collision. • The India-Asia collision is the main reason for the exhumation and uplift of the Duolong ore district since Paleocene. The Early Cretaceous Duolong porphyry-epithermal copper ore district is one of the largest copper ore districts in the central Tibetan Plateau. In order to investigate the preservation mechanism of Early Cretaceous porphyry-epithermal mineralization, new apatite and zircon fission track dating and (U-Th)/He dating of pre-ore sandstone, ore-related and barren intrusive rocks, and post-ore igneous rock, thermal modeling together with previous thermochronological data of the Duolong ore district were combined to study the burial and exhumation processes. Apatite fission track ages range from 68 ± 4 to 40 ± 4 Ma, with mean track lengths varying from 12.1 ± 2.0 to 12.8 ± 2.4 μm. Zircon fission track ages range from 106 ± 4 to 86 ± 4 Ma. In addition, apatite (U-Th)/He yields average age ranging from 62.7 ± 4.2 to 22.6 ± 1.2 Ma, and zircon (U-Th)/He yields average age of 112.3 ± 5.1 Ma. The thermal modeling shows that the Duolong ore district experienced two periods of exhumation and two stages of burial. The first period of exhumation with rate of 0.14 km/m.y. took place immediately after the ore formation which caused the erosion of orebody. Two periods of burial are thought to be related to northeast-southwest striking fault and thrust nappe structure induced by Lhasa-Qiangtang collision between 110 and 65 Ma when the overlying rocks of orebodies were thickened to 4 km. The last period of exhumation with rate of 0.062 km/m.y. (since 65 Ma) is attributed to lithospheric delamination related to India-Asia collision. The preservation of the Duolong ore district mainly benefited from the burial related to the Lhasa-Qiangtang collision. In this work, a series of N-doped carbon (NC-x) with high nitrogen contents were firstly synthesized by pyrolysis of 1-butyl-3-vinylimidazolium bromide-co-acrylonitrile with a template of g-C 3 N 4. Furthermore, Ru/NC-x catalysts were successfully prepared by ultrasonic-assisted impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by various methods in detail, e.g.X-ray diffraction, N 2 physical adsorption-desorption, Transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectra, Scanning electron microscopy and H 2 temperature programmed reduction. Characterization results revealed that N-doping on carbon contributed to the high dispersion of Ru nanoparticles and resulted in the forming of the electron-deficient of Ru species. Nanosheet Ru/NC-2 with high N-doping content of 28 wt% exhibited superior performance under room temperature, i.e., nitrobenzene conversion >99.0% and aniline selectivity 98.4%. Kinetic study indicated that the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene over Ru/NC-2 was the first-order kinetics with an intrinsic activation energy of 43.7 kJ/mol. Density functional theory calculation results suggested that Ru-N x species, especially, Ru-pyrrolic-N facilitated nitrobenzene adsorption and H 2 dissociation, resulting in enhanced catalytic performance. In addition, the excellent stability of Ru/NC-2 made it essentially reserved for 410 h in the fixed-bed reactor. Moreover, Ru/NC-2 exhibited superior performance for the hydrogenation of various nitroaromatics to corresponding aromatic amines. Numerical modeling and simulation of complex systems is often subject to uncertainties in model parameters. Many popular uncertainty quantification (UQ) methods require repeated simulations of the underlying physical system with different samples of the uncertain model parameters. This poses great challenges to many practical engineering applications due to the high demand for computational resources. In this report we propose highly efficient ensemble simulation algorithms for fast computation of coupled flow ensembles. The proposed ensemble algorithms are based on two recently developed numerical approaches: scalar auxiliary variable (SAV) and ensemble timestepping. We introduce a new decoupling strategy using the SAV idea and incorporate the ensemble timestepping method to develop two decoupled ensemble schemes for the Stokes–Darcy system: SAV-BE-En and SAV-BDF2-En. The two ensemble algorithms are specially designed for UQ computations where a number of realizations of the underlying coupled PDE system are required for analyzing and interpreting flow statistics. Compared with traditional methods which solve for each realization independently, our proposed ensemble algorithms result in a common coefficient matrix for all realizations and efficient iterative solvers such as block CG or block GMRES can be used to solve for all realizations simultaneously reducing both computer storage and overall simulation time. We prove that both ensemble algorithms are long time stable without any time step conditions. We also provide a comprehensive error analysis for the fully discrete SAV-BE-En algorithm, and present a few illustrative numerical examples to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the algorithms. Streptococcus suis (S. suis) is an important swine pathogen and an emerging zoonotic agent worldwide. Serotype 9 is the most prevalent serotype in several European countries but it is relatively rare in China. In this study, through the investigation of the serotypes of 279 S. suis strains isolated from China from 2015 to 2017, it was found that serotype 9 is the second most prevalent serotype (43 out of 279), behind serotype 2 (83 out of 279). Next, the 43 serotype 9 isolates were sequenced and compared with those from the Netherland (28) and the U.K. (eight). For the purpose of comparison, the strain D12 (GCA_000231905), which has completed genome sequences, was also incorporated. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the strains from China and the U.K. were heterogeneous. In contrast, all but one from the Netherland belonged to the same clade. The dominant clades of Chinese strains (33) and strains from the Netherland (27) were very similar. Both of them may have originated from the same strain about 70 years ago. Then, the distributions of virulence-associated genes and antibiotic resistance genes among different clades and sources were analyzed. By comparison, strains from the Netherland carried more virulence-associated genes and those from the U.K. had more antibiotic resistance genes. Additionally, some virulence-associated genes (salK and salR) and antibiotic resistance genes (lincomycin and spectinomycin) existed only in several Chinese strains. In conclusion, our data displayed the population characteristics and differences of S. suis serotype 9 between China and Europe, suggesting that they have taken different evolutionary paths. Inflorescences are the main factor affecting fruit yield. The quantity and quality of inflorescences are closely related to fruit quality and yield. The presence of compound inflorescences in cherry tomatoes is well established, and it has been discovered by chance that compound racemes also exist in tomatoes. To explore the formation of compound inflorescences in tomato, transcriptome sequencing was performed on Moneymaker (MM) and Compound Inflorescence (CI) plants. In-florescences were collected in three periods (early, middle and late) in three replicates, for a total of 18 samples. Data analysis showed that the DEGs were most enriched in metabolic pathways and plant hormone signal transduction pathways. The DEGs were also enriched in the cell cycle pathway, photosynthesis pathway, carbon metabolism pathway and circadian rhythm pathway. We found that the FALSIFLORA (FA), COMPOUND INFLORESCENCE (S) and ANANTHA (AN) genes were involved in compound inflorescence development, not only revealing novel genes but also providing a rich theoretical basis for compound inflorescence development. The classification system and the higher level phylogenetic relationships of Pentatomomorpha, the second largest infraorder of Heteroptera (Insecta: Hemiptera), have been debated and remain controversial over decades. In particular, the placement and phylogenetic relationship of Idiostoloidea are not well resolved, which hampers a better understanding of the evolutionary history of Pentatomomorpha. In this study, for the first time, we reported the complete mitochondrial genome for two narrowly distributed families of Idiostoloidea (including Idiostolidae and Henicocoridae), respectively. The length of the mitochondrial genome of Monteithocoris hirsutus and Henicocoris sp. is 16,632 and 16,013 bp, respectively. The content of AT is ranging from 75.15% to 80.48%. The mitogenomic structure of Idiostoloidea is highly conservative and there are no gene arrangements. By using the Bayesian inference, maximum likelihood, and Bayesian site‐heterogeneous mixture model, we inferred the phylogenetic relationships within Pentatomomorpha and estimated their divergence times based on concatenated mitogenomes and nuclear ribosomal genes. Our results support the classification system of six superfamilies within Pentatomomorpha and confirm the monophyletic groups of each superfamily, with the following phylogenetic relationships: (Aradoidea + (Pentatomoidea + (Idiostoloidea + (Coreoidea + (Pyrrhocoroidea + Lygaeoidea))))). Furthermore, estimated divergence times revealed that most pentatomomorphan superfamilies and families diverged during the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, which coincides with the explosive radiation of angiosperms. Background: Tomato gray leaf spot caused by Stemphylium lycopersici (S. lycopersici) is a serious disease that can severely hinder tomato production. To date, only Sm has been reported to provide resistance against this disease, and the molecular mechanism underlying resistance to this disease in tomato remains unclear. To better understand the mechanism of tomato resistance to S. lycopersici, real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR)-based analysis, physiological indexes, microscopy observations and transgenic technology were used in this study. Results: Our results showed that the expression of SlERF01 was strongly induced by S. lycopersici and by exogenous applications of the hormones salicylic acid (SA) and jasmonic acid (JA). Furthermore, overexpression of SlERF01 enhanced the hypersensitive response (HR) to S. lycopersici and elevated the expression of defense genes in tomato. Furthermore, the accumulation of lignin, callose and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) increased in the transgenic lines after inoculation with S. lycopersici. Taken together, our results showed that SlERF01 played an indispensable role in multiple SA, JA and reactive oxygen species (ROS) signaling pathways to provide resistance to S. lycopersici invasion. Our findings also indicated that SlERF01 could activate the expression of the PR1 gene and enhance resistance to S. lycopersici. Conclusions: We identified the SlERF01 gene, which encodes a novel tomato AP2/ERF transcription factor (TF). Functional analysis revealed that SlERF01 positively regulates tomato resistance to S. lycopersici. Our findings indicate that SlERF01 plays a key role in multiple SA, JA and ROS signaling pathways to provide resistance to invasion by S. lycopersici. In flowering plants, C-to-U RNA editing can be critical to normal functions of mitochondrion-encoded proteins. Mitochondrial C-to-U RNA editing is facilitated by many factors from diverse protein families, of which the pentatricopeptide repeat (PPR) proteins play an important role. Owing to their large number and frequent embryo lethality in mutants, functions of many PPRs remain unknown. In this study, we characterized a mitochondrion-localized DYW-type PPR protein, DEK48, functioning in the C-to-U RNA editing at multiple mitochondrial transcripts in maize. Null mutation of Dek48 severely arrests embryo and endosperm development, causing a defective kernel (dek) phenotype, named dek48. DEK48 loss of function abolishes the C-to-U editing at nad3-185, -215, and nad4-376, -977 sites and decreases the editing at 11 other sites, resulting in the alteration of the corresponding amino acids. Consequently, the absence of editing caused reduced assembly and activity of complex I in dek48. Interestingly, we identified a point mutation in dek48-3 causing a deletion of the Tryptophan (W) residue in the DYW motif that abolishes the editing function. In sum, this study reveals the function of DEK48 in the C-to-U editing in mitochondrial transcripts and seed development in maize, and it demonstrates a critical role of the W residue in the DYW triplet motif of DEK48 for the C-to-U editing function in vivo. Leaves are the main site of photosynthesis in plants, and leaf color plays a major role in crop quality, yield, resistance, as well as other aspects. Although the genes related to photosynthesis have been well characterized in plants in general, yellow-green leaf mutants have not yet been fully studied in tomatoes. In the present study, a dark green leaf (GL) mutant was isolated from yellow-leaf tomato (wild-type). The dark GL displays a distinct yellow-green phenotype, and has a greater chlorophyll content and higher photosynthetic rate. Furthermore, the lamellae were clear, and the stroma and grana were orderly, with more stacking and larger starch grains according to the ultrastructure analysis of chloroplasts in GL leaves. Comparative transcriptome analysis of GL and wild-type plants was performed to identify the pathways and genes related to photosynthesis. In this work, a total of 292 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between GL plants and WT plants were identified, of which 131 genes were upregulated and 161 genes were downregulated. The diterpenoid biosynthesis and photosynthesis antenna proteins were the two most significantly enriched in the first 20 pathways according to KEGG analysis. Most of the DEGs involved in diterpenoid biosynthesis and photosynthesis were antenna proteins. The photosynthesis antenna protein Solyc02g071030 (LHCB1) and the diterpenoid biosynthesis-related genes, Solyc08g005710 and Solyc09g059240, were significantly upregulated in GL leaves compared with WT leaves. The expression patterns of the DEGs were similar to those determined by qRT-PCR. Overall, our research not only revealed the diterpenoid biosynthesis and photosynthesis pathways involving in leaf color variation, but also identified the putative target genes for genetic manipulation in the future. Extreme precipitation usually cause grievous losses&casualties, which varies greatly under different scenarios. This paper took Henan province as an example, it innovatively constructed three different extreme precipitation scenarios and built indicators system of social vulnerability from exposure, sensitivity and resilience based on MOVE framework. Social Vulnerability Indexs(SoVI) were then calculated by mathematical models under three different reoccurrence intervals. The results show that SoVI was low in the west and high in the north. High SoVI areas expanded to the middle and south as recurrence intervals increased. SoVI in each area of Henan province increased along with the recurrence intervals at different growth rates. The larger the recurrence interval was, the faster the SoVI increased. The results indicate SoVI is greatly affected by disaster levels, which need to be incorporated into social vulnerability. Background: Epidemiological evidence suggests sex difference in serum uric acid (SUA) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) might be a potential explanation for the gender difference in prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). However, few epidemiology data in China have tested this hypothesis.Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study to assess the joint associations between SUA and serum ALT with NAFLD among elderly Chinese men and women.Results: Among 7569 participants with a mean age of 59.8 years (± 13.4 years), 56.6% of women and 43.4% of men were diagnosed as NAFLD, respectively. A positive association between SUA and NAFLD prevalence was observed in both men and women. NAFLD prevalence was 2.74 times (95% CI 2.00-3.76) higher for men and 4.60 times (95% CI 3.39-6.24) higher for women with the highest quintiles of SUA levels compared to those with the lowest levels. SUA levels were significantly associated with prevalence of mild- and severe-steatosis (P < 0.01). In addition, the ORs of NAFLD among participants with high SUA levels and high serum ALT was 10.75 (95% CI 3.56-32.46) for men and 7.96 (95% CI 2.83-22.39) for women, compared with those with low SUA levels and low serum ALT.Conclusions: SUA levels were positively associated with NAFLD prevalence, and the association was slightly stronger in women than in men. The transcription factor activator protein-1 (AP-1) plays an essential and critical role in the regulation of numerous downstream genes involved in various physiological and chemical responses. In this study, we identified a full-length cDNA of the c -Jun AP-1 gene (termed Csc-Jun ) from the transcriptome library in Cyclina sinensis . The cDNA contains an 825-bp open reading frame that encodes a 274-amino acid protein sequence, including a characteristic Jun transcription factor domain and a highly conserved basic leucine zipper (bZIP) signature that shares 90% identity to that of Ruditapes philippinarum. Furthermore, a phylogenetic analysis using MrBayes and PhyML software (with Bayesian and maximum likelihood approaches, respectively) revealed that the c -Jun AP-1 family genes might be involved in adapting to various environments in different invertebrates. We implemented the PAML software with the maximum likelihood method to further select and verify the positive selection sites (PSSs) in the Mollusca c -Jun AP-1 genes, and we detected four PSSs located in the Jun transcription factor domain. In addition, a spatial expression analysis showed that the Csc-Jun cDNA transcript was ubiquitously expressed in all of the tested tissues and was strongly expressed in the hepatopancreas and weakly expressed in the tissues of the hemocytes, gill filaments, mantle and adductor muscle. Quantitative real-time PCR showed that the expression profiles of Csc-Jun were significantly upregulated at different times in all of the tested tissues when challenged with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Furthermore, knockdown of Csc-Jun by RNA interference resulted in a higher mortality of C. sinensis following LPS exposure. Finally, we explored the function of the TLR13-MyD88 signaling pathway in the innate immunity of C. sinensis by RNA interference and immune challenges. The results revealed that the mRNA expression levels of Csc-Jun were all decreased ( P  < 0.01) in normal and stimulated C. sinensis hemocytes. These data collectively indicated that the c -Jun AP-1 gene might play vital roles in innate immunity and provide new evidence for the evolutionary patterns of innate immune genes in Mollusca. The PEBP gene family is crucial for the growth and development of plants, the transition between vegetative and reproductive growth, the response to light, the production of florigen, and the reaction to several abiotic stressors. The PEBP gene family has been found in numerous species, but the SLPEBP gene family has not yet received a thorough bioinformatics investigation, and the members of this gene family are currently unknown. In this study, bioinformatics was used to identify 12 members of the SLPEBP gene family in tomato and localize them on the chromosomes. The physicochemical characteristics of the proteins encoded by members of the SLPEBP gene family were also examined, along with their intraspecific collinearity, gene structure, conserved motifs, and cis-acting elements. In parallel, a phylogenetic tree was built and the collinear relationships of the PEBP gene family among tomato, potato, pepper, and Arabidopsis were examined. The expression of 12 genes in different tissues and organs of tomato was analyzed using transcriptomic data. It was also hypothesized that SLPEBP3, SLPEBP5, SLPEBP6, SLPEBP8, SLPEBP9, and SLPEBP10 might be related to tomato flowering and that SLPEBP2, SLPEBP3, SLPEBP7, and SLPEBP11 might be related to ovary development based on the tissue-specific expression analysis of SLPEBP gene family members at five different stages during flower bud formation to fruit set. Building of grain boundary (GB) in Cu-based catalysts has been demonstrated to be an efficient strategy to control the product selectivity of electrochemical CO 2 reduction reaction (eCO 2 RR). However, the fabrication and modulation of GBs in Cu are still challenging. In this study, a series of bare Cu catalysts with controllable density of Cu(111) GBs were investigated systematically for eCO 2 RR. These catalysts exhibit superior eCO 2 RR performance for syngas production with a high FE of ∼80 % and tunable H 2 /CO ratio of 0.46–2.78. Three-dimensional wormlike Cu with abundant (111) GBs displays a stable H 2 /CO ratio of ∼0.5 over a wide potential range from −0.9 to −1.2 V (vs. RHE). In situ Raman and ATR-SEIRAS spectroscopy combined with DFT calculations reveal that Cu(111) GBs enhance the adsorption of CO 2 , lower the energy barriers of CO 2 to *COOH and *CO, further highlighting the potential to control syngas production with desirable proportion over Cu-based catalysts. The myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) is an essential adapter in Toll-like receptor (TLR) signalling pathways, with TLR the first pattern-recognition receptor (PRR) that was discovered in Drosophila . In the present study, a MyD88 gene was identified and characterized from a commercially important shellfish, Scapharca subcrenata , including a DEATH domain and TIR domain conserved within other molluscs. Furthermore, comparative genomic evidence revealed that MyD88 was of different lengths and contained quantitative exon and intron regions, which might be involved in specific mechanisms. To further explore the phylogenetic relationships of invertebrate metazoan MyD88 , we applied MrBayes and PhyML software to construct phylogenetic trees using Bayesian and maximum likelihood approaches, respectively, which suggested that the MyD88 of Arthropoda was closely related to lower invertebrates, in contrast to morphological taxonomy. Finally, we investigated the evolutionary patterns and location of positive selection sites (PSSs) in the MyD88 gene from Arthropoda, Mollusca and Insecta using PAML software with the maximum likelihood method. The data showed that positive selection sites were detected in these groups, and partial sites were located in the TIR domain but were not found in the DEATH domain. To summarize, in this study, we report on the diversification of MyD88 in invertebrate metazoans, the specific evolutionary position of Arthropoda MyD88 , and the positive selection pressures on MyD88 of Arthropoda, Mollusca and Insecta. The cysteine-rich polycomb-like protein (CPP) gene family is a class of transcription factors containing conserved cysteine-rich CRC structural domains that is involved in the regulation of plant growth and stress tolerance to adversity. Relative to other gene families, the CPP gene family has not received sufficient attention. In this study, six SlCPPs were identified for the first time using the most recent genome-wide identification data of tomato. Subsequently, a phylogenetic analysis classified SlCPPs into four subfamilies. The analysis of cis-acting elements in the promoter indicates that SlCPPs are involved in plant growth and development and also stress response. We present for the first time the prediction of the tertiary structure of these SlCPPs proteins using the AlphaFold2 artificial intelligence system developed by the DeepMind team. Transcriptome data analysis showed that SlCPPs were differentially expressed in different tissues. Gene expression profiling showed that all SlCPPs except SlCPP5 were up-regulated under drought stress; SlCPP2, SlCPP3 and SlCPP4 were up-regulated under cold stress; SlCPP2 and SlCPP5 were up-regulated under salt stress; all SlCPPs were up-regulated under inoculation with Cladosporium fulvum; and SlCPP1, SlCPP3, and SlCPP4 were up-regulated under inoculation with Stemphylium lycopersici. We performed a virus-induced gene silencing experiment on SlCPP3, and the results indicated that SlCPP3 was involved in the response to drought stress. Finally, we predicted the interaction network of the key gene SlCPP3, and there was an interaction relationship between SlCPP3 and 10 genes, such as RBR1 and MSI1. The positive outcome showed that SlCPPs responded to environmental stress. This study provides a theoretical and empirical basis for the response mechanisms of tomato in abiotic stresses. Proper stamen filament elongation is essential for pollination and plant reproduction. Plant hormones are extensively involved in every stage of stamen development; however, the cellular mechanisms by which phytohormone signals couple with microtubule dynamics to control filament elongation remain unclear. Here, we screened a series of Arabidopsis thaliana mutants showing different microtubule defects and revealed that only those unable to sever microtubules, lue1 and ktn80.1234, displayed differential floral organ elongation with less elongated stamen filaments. Prompted by short stamen filaments and severe decrease in KTN1 and KTN80s expression in qui‐2 lacking five BZR1‐family transcription factors (BFTFs), we investigated the crosstalk between microtubule severing and brassinosteroid (BR) signaling. The BFTFs transcriptionally activate katanin‐encoding genes, and the microtubule‐severing frequency was severely reduced in qui‐2. Taken together, our findings reveal how BRs can regulate cytoskeletal dynamics to coordinate the proper development of reproductive organs. Flower development is not only an important way for tomato reproduction but also an important guarantee for tomato fruit production. Although more and more attention has been paid to the study of flower development, there are few studies on the molecular mechanism and gene expression level of tomato flower development. In this study, RNA-seq analysis was performed on two stages of tomato flower development using the Illumina sequencing platform. A total of 8536 DEGs were obtained by sequencing, including 3873 upregulated DEGs and 4663 down-regulated DEGs. These differentially expressed genes are related to plant hormone signaling, starch and sucrose metabolism. The pathways such as pentose, glucuronate interconversion, and Phenylpropanoid biosynthesis are closely related and mainly involved in plant cellular and metabolic processes. According to the enrichment analysis results of DEGs, active energy metabolism can be inferred during flower development, indicating that flower development requires a large amount of energy and material supply. In addition, some plant hormones, such as GA, may also have effects on flower development. Combined with previous studies, the expression levels of Solyc02g087860 and three of bZIPs were significantly increased in the full flowering stage compared with the flower bud stage, indicating that these genes may be closely related to flower development. These genes were previously reported in Arabidopsis but not in tomatoes. Our next work will conduct a detailed functional analysis of the identified bZIP family genes to characterize their association with tomato flower size. Flowering reversion is a common phenomenon in plant development in which differentiated floral organs switch from reproductive growth to vegetative growth and ultimately form abnormal floral organs or vegetative organs. This greatly reduces tomato yield and quality. Research on this phenomenon has recently increased, but there is a lack of research at the molecular and gene expression levels. Here, transcriptomic analyses of the inflorescence meristem were performed in two kinds of materials at different developmental stages, and a total of 3223 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened according to the different developmental stages and trajectories of the two materials. The analysis of database annotations showed that these DEGs were closely related to starch and sucrose metabolism, DNA replication and modification, plant hormone synthesis and signal transduction. It was further speculated that tomato flowering reversion may be related to various biological processes, such as cell signal transduction, energy metabolism and protein post-transcriptional regulation. Combined with the results of previous studies, our work showed that the gene expression levels of CLE9, FA, PUCHI, UF, CLV3, LOB30, SFT, S-WOX9 and SVP were significantly different in the two materials. Endogenous hormone analysis and exogenous hormone treatment revealed a variety of plant hormones involved in flowering reversion in tomato. Thus, tomato flowering reversion was studied comprehensively by transcriptome analysis for the first time, providing new insights for the study of flower development regulation in tomato and other plants. In this paper, a novel design method of circularly polarized folded transmitarray antenna (CPFTA) is presented by applying sequential rotation technology. Compared with the general design method, the novel design method can reduce the design difficulty and improve the axis ratio (AR) bandwidth significantly without adding any additional structure. To verify the proposed method, both a general CPFTA (GCPFTA) and a novel CPFTA (NCPFTA) are designed, fabricated, measured and compared. Good agreements between simulated and measured results are obtained. Thanks to the creative design, the integrated radiation and scattering control of the CPFTA is realized for the first time. The proposed NCPFTA has the advantages of broadband, high gain, planar structure, low profile, convenience in installation and low radar cross section (RCS), which has potential application in mobile satellite communication. A comprehensive monitoring and risk assessment of arsenic (As) pollution concerning surface water and sediment is performed in the Jie River basin, where gold smelting enterprises are concentrated. The study area is divide into six regions, labeled as A, B, C, D, E, and F, from sewage outlets to downstream. Results shows that with far away from the sewage outlets, the total As concentrations in water and sediment gradually decrease from regions A to F. However, in region F, the concentration of bioavailable As significantly increases in the sediment due to the higher pH, leading to the transformation of As(V) into more mobile As(III). In sediment, Paracladius sp. exhibits strong resistance to As pollution in sediment, which can potentially elevate the risk of disease transmission. In water bodies, diatoms and euglena are the main phytoplankton in the Jie River while toxic cyanobacteria exhibits lower resistance to As pollution. Overall, measures should be taken to ecologically remediate the sediment in downstream while implementing appropriate isolation methods to prevent the spread of highly contaminated sediments from regions near sewage outlets. A single‐beam full‐space scanning leaky‐wave antenna with high‐efficiency based on spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) is presented in this paper. An array of circular patches is placed periodically around the SSPPs waveguide to couple the electromagnetic wave and radiate to the free space. The antenna has been simulated, manufactured and tested, and the results are consistent. The simulated results show that the antenna can keep a high radiation efficiency (the average efficiency can reach 87.4%) while ensuring the excellent characteristic of single‐beam scanning from backfire to endfire (180°) continuously within the operation bandwidth of 6.3–9.1 GHz (for |S11| < −10dB). The simulation results demonstrate that the gain of the antenna can reach 11.0 dBi at backfire and 13.2 dBi at endfire, respectively. A low‐profile single‐layer patch antenna is proposed for bandwidth enhancement and stable high gain simultaneously. Firstly, coplanar parasitically coupled patches are introduced on two edges of the main driven patch to generate new resonant modes. The mutual compensation of modal electric energy and magnetic energy and the combination of modes lead to wideband performance based on characteristic mode analysis (CMA). Secondly, due to odd mode with unstable gain at high frequency, metallised vias are installed in the parasitic patches. Therefore, the symmetrical TM01 mode of parasitic patches is reshaped to the TM10 mode, and three in‐phase TM10 modes are connected in parallel to generate stable high gain. The CMA is utilised to guide the transformation of unwanted modal behaviours into desired modal states. The achieved impedance bandwidth for −10 dB is 13.7% (4.96–5.69 GHz) with a gain of 6.86–8.53 dBi over the operating bandwidth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tomato leaf mold disease caused by Cladosporium fulvum (C. fulvum) is one of the most common diseases affecting greenhouse tomato production. Cf proteins can recognize corresponding AVR proteins produced by C. fulvum, and Cf genes are associated with leaf mold resistance. Given that there are many physiological races of C. fulvum and that these races rapidly mutate, resistance to common Cf genes (such as Cf-2, Cf-4, Cf-5, and Cf-9) has decreased. In the field, Ont7813 plants (carrying the Cf-13 gene) show effective resistance to C. fulvum; thus, these plants could be used as new, disease-resistant materials. To explore the mechanism of the Cf-13-mediated resistance response, transcriptome sequencing was performed on three replicates each of Ont7813 (Cf-13) and Moneymaker (MM; carrying the Cf-0 gene) at 0, 9, and 15 days after inoculation (dai) for a total of 18 samples. In total, 943 genes were differentially expressed, specifically in the Ont7813 response process as compared to the Moneymaker response process. Gene ontology (GO) classification of these 943 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) showed that GO terms, including "hydrogen peroxide metabolic process (GO_Process)", "secondary active transmembrane transporter activity (GO_Function)", and "mismatch repair complex (GO_Component)", which were the same as 11 other GO terms, were significantly enriched. An analysis of the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) revealed that many key regulatory genes of the Cf-13-mediated resistance response processes were involved in the "plant hormone signal transduction" pathway, the "plant–pathogen interaction" pathway, and the "MAPK signaling pathway–plant" pathway. Moreover, during C. fulvum infection, jasmonic acid (JA) and salicylic acid (SA) contents significantly increased in Ont7813 at the early stage.
