1. Effect of acid-soluble aluminum content on precipitates and magnetic properties of grain oriented silicon steel

Abstract: The effect of acid-soluble aluminum content on precipitates and magnetic properties of grain oriented silicon steel was researched by optical microscopy and zeiss ultra 55 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) technique respectively. The results show that the number of precipitates increases with the increase of acid-soluble aluminum content, and the size of precipitates is relatively large after hot rolling. Under the low hot rolling temperature, the number of precipitates in the samples is large and the size is small, moreover, the grain size of the primary recrystallized grain is small. The matching of process parameters under different production process lines is the key to obtain good magnetic performance. The effect of nitriding on magnetic properties of the samples is related to the acidsoluble aluminum content of the samples. Too much acid-soluble aluminum can deteriorate the magnetic properties.

2. Effect of finishing rolling reduction on microstructures and textures of grain oriented silicon steel

Abstract: The effect of finishing rolling reduction on microstructures and textures of grain oriented silicon steel was researched by optical microscopy, zeiss ultra 55 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) technique severally. The results show that the grain size of hot rolled sheets and decarburized strips decreases, while the center grain size of the normalized sheet increases with the increase of the finishing rolling reduction. The pearlite content increases with the increase of the finishing rolling reduction after normalization. Compare with the previous research, the effect of finishing rolling reduction on the grain size of primary recrystallization is greater than that of roughing rolling reduction, and large rolling reduction is beneficial to the formation of {110} texture.

Abstract: The effect of hot rolling reduction on microstructures and textures of grain oriented silicon steel was studied by optical microscopy (OM), zeiss ultra 55 Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) technique respectively. The results indicate that the effect of hot rolling reduction on grain size of hot rolled and normalized sheets in surface layer is great, while the effect on grain size of primary recrystallized grain is little. The shear zone thickens with the finishing reduction decreases, moreover strong {111} and {110} textures can be obtained in hot rolled sheets. Combined with the previous research conclusions, it can be found that the rolling process of oriented silicon steel is contributed to the formation of texture, while the recrystallization process reduces the sharpness of the texture.

Abstract: The effect of hot rolling temperature on microstructures and textures of grain oriented silicon steel was studied by optical microscopy (OM), zeiss ultra 55 Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) technique respectively. The results show that being hot rolled at 1 152 °C and 1 227 °C respectively, the effect of hot rolling temperature on microstructures of hot rolled and normalized sheets is little, and there is only a small difference in grain size between the samples. Secondary recrystallization is difficult to occur in the medium temperature sample due to the lack of sufficient inhibitors in the sample. The major deformed texture component in center region of hot rolled sheets is {114} which has obviously heredity, and it is more sharp in low temperature sample.

5. Study on production of conventional grain oriented (CGO) silicon steel without normalizing process

Abstract: The production of conventional grain oriented silicon steel without normalizing was studied by two-stage cold rolling process, and the orientation evolution was analyzed by optical microscopy (OM) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) technique. The results indicate that, the key of CGO silicon steel hot rolled sheet canceling normalizing process is to obtain as many {111} and Goss oriented grains as possible, meanwhile, it is to increase the nitrogen pressure appropriately during the temperature-rise stage of secondary recrystallization. By controlling the process parameters, the iron loss P1, 7 of the finished product is 1,258 W/kg, and the magnetic induction B8 is 1,840 T. Furthermore, the cubic orientation can be retained more in CGO silicon steel after annealing due to the less influence of columnar grain.

6. AN AUTONOMOUS GPS-DENIED UNMANNED VEHICLE PLATFORM BASED ON BINOCULAR VISION FOR PLANETARY EXPLORATION

Abstract: Vision-based navigation has become an attractive solution for autonomous navigation for planetary exploration. This paper presents our work of designing and building an autonomous vision-based GPS-denied unmanned vehicle and developing an ARFM (Adaptive Robust Feature Matching) based VO (Visual Odometry) software for its autonomous navigation. The hardware system is mainly composed of binocular stereo camera, a pan-and tilt, a master machine, a tracked chassis. And the ARFM-based VO software system contains four modules: camera calibration, ARFM-based 3D reconstruction, position and attitude calculation, BA (Bundle Adjustment) modules. Two VO experiments were carried out using both outdoor images from open dataset and indoor images captured by our vehicle, the results demonstrate that our vision-based unmanned vehicle is able to achieve autonomous localization and has the potential for future planetary exploration.

Abstract: The origin of the platy-ridged-polygonized (PRP) terrains on Martian surface has long been debated. The terrain has generally been classified as water, pack ice, or basalt lava related flow. The crater counting results of the PRP terrains suggest they are geologically very young; therefore, they are significant in understanding the recent evolution of Mars. This work evaluated the current hypotheses through detailed analysis of the distribution and microtopographies with the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) images for the PRP terrains in Elysium Planitia, Mars. Quantitative measurements and statistics of the typical features of the PRP terrains were also made. In addition, we also found an analog site in Tarim Basin in Xinjiang, China. Our results suggest that mud flow is responsible for the formation of the PRP terrains on the Mars surface, although the hypothesis of low-viscosity basalt lava floods cannot be completely excluded. This finding implies that a regional environment suitable for liquid water may have existed in recent geologic time, which has great importance for future Mars scientific exploration.

13. Influencing factors of the drying rate of sludge for solar drying chamber

Abstract: In view of the problems of low solar energy utilization efficiency, drying efficiency to be improved and sludge adhesion in the process of solar drying sludge, the research was carried out on the heat collection effect of solar collectors, sludge drying characteristics and sludge drying process, as well as the influence of sludge drying process parameters on the sludge drying rate such as hot air temperature, solar radiation intensity and air substitution,. on the self-built industrial simulation test bench. The results show that: the maximum temperature difference between the inside and the outdoor environment of the solar collectors is 36°C, when the outdoor environment temperature of the developed solar collectors is 13-26°C; the optimum process parameters of sludge drying rate under the experimental conditions that the moisture content of wet sludge is 82.7%, are as follows: the temperature of hot air is 43°C, the maximum solar radiation intensity (about 12:00), the optimal flow rate of air is controlled at 1.2m/s, the thickness of the material layer is 3cm, the large contact between air and materials improves the problem of sludge adhesion. All which provide a theoretical basis for the implementation on the industrialization of solar drying sludge.

Abstract: Using the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer, we have measured the total cross section for e(+)e(-) annihilation into hadronic final states at center-of-mass energies of 2.6, 3.2, 3.4, 3.55, 4.6, and 5.0 GeV. Values of R, sigma(e(+)e(-)-->hadrons)/sigma(e(+)e(-)-->m(+)m(-)), are determined.

Abstract: A sample of 3.79 million psi(2S) decays observed in the BES detector is used to study the decays of charmonium to axialvector plus pseudoscalar mesons. The branching fraction for psi(2S) to b1pi agrees with expectations. A contrasting behavior between the psi(2S) and the J/psi decays to K1K cannot be accommodated by an adjustment of the singlet-triplet axialvector mixing angle., 7 pages, 3 figures. Abstract: A partial wave analysis of BES J / ψ → γ ( ηπ + π − ) data has been performed in the mass region 1.1 to 2.0 GeV. A peak is observed due to η (1440) in the ηπ + π − invariant mass distribution; J P =0 − is preferred over 1 + . Its mass is M =1385±7 MeV and it decays into both ησ and a 0 (980) π , with BR[ a 0 (980) π , a 0 → ηπ / ησ ]=0.70±0.12( stat )±0.20( syst ). Destructive interference between the two decay modes is observed. In addition, in the higher ηπ + π − mass region, there is a definite 2 −+ signal, with M =1840±15 MeV and Γ =170±40 MeV and an additional 0 −+ signal at 1760±35 MeV. We also find a possible contribution from a 1 ++ signal decaying dominantly through a 0 (980) π ; its mass and width are fitted to be M =1505±20 MeV and Γ =130 −20 +50 MeV.

We determine upper limits on branching fractions for ψ(2S) decays into ωf2, ρa2, K*0K*02 + c.c., and φf'2(1525) that are, in each case, significantly smaller than the corresponding branching fractions for the J/ψ meson, scaled according to the expectations of perturbative QCD. © 1998 The American Physical Society.

We determine the total width of the χc0 to be γtotχc0 = 14.3 ± 2.0 ± 3.0 MeV. We present the first measurement of the branching fraction B(χc0 → pp¯) = (15.9 ± 4.3 ± 5.3) × 10−5, where the first error is statistical and the second one is systematic. Branching fractions of χc0, 2 → π+ π− and K+ K− are also reported. © 1998 American Physical Society.

Abstract: Purely leptonic decays of the charged D meson have been studied using the reaction e + e − →D ∗+ D − at a center of mass energy of 4.03 GeV. A search was performed for D→μνμ recoiling against a D0 or D+ which had been reconstructed from its hadronic decay products. A single event candidate was found in the reaction e + e − →D ∗+ D − , where D ∗+ →π + D 0 with the D0→K−π+, and the recoiling D− decaying via D − →μ − ν μ . This yields a branching fraction value B(D→μνμ)=0.08−0.05−0.02+0.16+0.05%, and a corresponding value of the pseudoscalar decay constant fD=300−150−40+180+80 MeV.

Abstract: With 7.8 million produced J / ψ events collected by the BES detector at the BEPC, decays J/ψ→Λ Λ ,Λ Λ γ and Λ Λ π 0 are analysed. The branching ratios are measured to be Br (J/ψ→Λ Λ )=(1.08±0.06±0.24)×10 −3 , Br (J/ψ→Λ Λ γ) −4 (90% C.L. ) , Br (J/ψ→Λ Λ π 0 )=(2.3±0.7±0.8)×10 −4 , respectively. The angular distribution for J/ψ→Λ Λ is of the form d N d cos θ =N 0 (1+α cos 2 θ) , from which we determine α =0.52±0.33±0.13.

Abstract: A search is performed for the production of the ψ(2S) in e^+e^- annihilation at a center-of-mass energy of 4.03 GeV using the BES detector operated at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC). The kinematic features of the reconstructed ψ(2S) signal are consistent with its being produced only in association with an energetic photon resulting from initial state radiation (ISR). Limits are placed on ψ(2S) production from the decay of unknown charmonia or metastable hybrids that might be produced in e^+e^- annihilations at 4.03 GeV. Under the assumption that the observed cross section for ψ(2S) production is due entirely to ISR, the partial width Γ_(ee) of the ψ(2S) is measured to be 2.07±0.32keV.

Abstract: The absolute inclusive branching fraction of D_s^+→φX^+ has been measured from data collected by the BES detector at a center-of-mass energy of 4.03 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 22.3 pb^(-1). At this energy, direct pair production e^+e^-→D_s^+D_s^- has been observed. We have selected D_s candidate events by reconstructing five hadronic decay modes D_s^+→φπ^+, K^(0*)K^+, K^0K^+, f0^(π+) and K^0K^-π^+π^+ and have searched for inclusive φ’s in the recoiling D_s^-. We observed three recoiling φ’s in the 166.4 ± 31.8 D_s candidate events, which leads to the absolute branching fraction B(D_s^+→φX^+)=(17.8(-7.2 -6.3)^(+15.1+0.6)) % and B(D_s-6.3+→φπ-6.3+)=(3.6_(-1.6 -1.3)(^_3.1+0.4) %. Abstract: The global topologies of inclusive three- and four-jet events produced in $\overline{p}p$ interactions are described. The three- and four-jet events are selected from data recorded by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider operating at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=1800$ GeV. The measured, normalized distributions of various topological variables are compared with parton-level predictions of tree-level QCD calculations. The parton-level QCD calculations are found to be in good agreement with the data. The studies also show that the topological distributions of the different subprocesses involving different numbers of quarks are very similar and reproduce the measured distributions well. Abstract: We report on a search for right-handed W bosons (W R ) with mass greater than 200GeV/c 2 . We used data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron pp collider at √s=1.8TeV to search for W R decays into an electron and a massive right-handed neutrino W R ± >e ± N R . Using the inclusive electron data, we set mass limits independent of the N R decay: m W R >650GeV/c 2 and m W R >720GeV/c 2 at the 95% confidence level, valid for m N R W R and mN R «m W R , respectively. The latter also represents a new lower limit on the mass of a heavy left-handed W boson (W') decaying into ev. In addition, limits on mWR valid for larger values of the N R mass are obtained assuming that NR decays to an electron and two jets.

Abstract: We have searched for associated production of the lightest chargino W 1 and next-to-lightest neutralino Z 2 of the minimal supersymmetric standard model in pp collisions at √s=1.8 TeV using the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 12.5±0.7pb -1 were examined for events containing three isolated leptons. No evidence for W 1 Z 2 pair production was found. Limits on s(W 1 Z 2 )B(W 1 →lνZ 1 )B(Z 2 →llZ 1 ) are presented.

Abstract: We have studied J ψ production in p p collisions at s = 1.8 TeV with the DO detector at Fermilab using μ+μ− data. We have measured the inclusive J ψ production cross section as a function of J ψ transverse momentum, pT. For the kinematic range pT > 8 GeV/c and |η| σ(p p → J ψ + X) · Br ( J ψ → μ + μ − ) = 2.08 ± 0.17( stat) ± 0.46(syst) nb. Using the muon impact parameter we have estimated the fraction of J ψ mesons coming from B meson decays to be fb = 0.35 ± 0.09(stat)±0.10(syst) and inferred the inclusive b production cross section. From the information on the event topology the fraction of nonisolated J ψ events has been measured to be fnonisol = 0.64 ± 0.08(stat)±0.06(syst). We have also obtained the fraction of J ψ events resulting from radiative decays of χc states, fχ = 0.32 ± 0.07(stat)±0.07(syst). We discuss the implications of our measurements for charmonium production processes.

Abstract: A study of the particle multiplicity between jets with large rapidity separation has been performed using the D\O\ detector at the Fermilab Tevatron $p\bar{p}$ Collider operating at $\sqrt{s}=1.8$\,TeV. A significant excess of low-multiplicity events is observed above the expectation for color-exchange processes. The measured fractional excess is $1.07 \pm 0.10({\rm stat})~{ + 0.25}_{- 0.13}({\rm syst})\%$, which is consistent with a strongly-interacting color-singlet (colorless) exchange process and cannot be explained by electroweak exchange alone. A lower limit of $0.80\%$ (95\% C.L.) is obtained on the fraction of dijet events with color-singlet exchange, independent of the rapidity gap survival probability.

Abstract: The Beijing Spectrometer (BES) Collaboration has observed exclusive pair production of D_s mesons at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider (BEPC) at a center-of-mass energy of 4.03 GeV. The D_s mesons are detected in the φπ^+, K¯^(*0)K^+, and K¯^0K^+ decay modes; two fully reconstructed events yield the value (3.9_(-1.9-1.1)^(+5.1+1.8))% for the D_s branching fraction to φπ. This is the first direct, model-independent measurement of this quantity.

Abstract: The cross sections for e+e− → hadrons, e+e−, μ+μ− have been measured in the vicinity of the J Ψ resonance using the BES detector operated at BEPC. The partial widths for J Ψ to hadrons, electrons, muons and the total width have been determined to be Γh = 74.1 ± 8.1 keV, Γe = 5.14 ± 0.39 keV, Γμ = 5.13 ± 0.52 keV, and Γ = 84.4 ± 8.9 keV, respectively.

31. A structure theorem for a pair of quadratic forms

Abstract: For any two lattices L and K in the same genus there exist isometric primitive sublattices L' , K' of codimension 1. This result not only proves Friedland's conjecture but also extends it to lattices in an arbitrary genus and defined over any algebraic number field. In [F] Friedland proved that for any two positive definite integral symmetric matrices A and B of rank n and determinant unity there are matrices A1 = (aij) and B1 = (b1j) which are Z-equivalent (as quadratic forms) to A and B respectively and such that aij = bij for 1 < i, j < n 2. He further conjectured that the same holds with 1 < i, j < n 1. His proof is matricial. We shall give here not only a lattice-theoretic proof of his theorem, but also a more general result not restricted to unimodular lattices rather for any genus and defined over any number field. Furthermore, we shall also prove the conjectured codimension-one result in this full general setting. In the course of the proof we shall first present a weaker version (Proposition) which is based on the theorem of "spinor linkage" [BH]. This version is weaker because the constructed pair of isometric sublattices in general has codimension two and will only have codimension one when the given lattices corresponding to the matrices A and B belong to the same spinor genus. However, this version has the virtue that the isometric sublattices are more effectively determinable since the effectiveness of finding the prime spot in the construction of the associated graph had been demonstrated in [BH]. The more general statement in the structure theorem below uses the stronger property of "class linkage" which is of independent interest. In what follows, let F be an algebraic number field, R its ring of integers, and V a regular quadratic space over F of dimension n. Let L and K be two R-lattices on V belonging to the same genus. L and K are said to be q-neighbors (for some discrete spot q on F) if Lp = Kp for p :# q and [Lq: Lq n Kq] = [Kq: Lq n Kq] = Norm(q). Abstract: We report values of $R\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\sigma}({e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{hadrons})/\ensuremath{\sigma}({e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}})$ for 85 center-of-mass energies between 2 and $5\mathrm{GeV}$ measured with the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider.

Abstract: The branching fraction of the psi(2S) decay into tau(+) tau(-) has been measured for the first time using the BES detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider. The result is B-tautau =(2.71+/-0.43+/-0.55) x 10(-3), where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. This value, along with those for the branching fractions into e(+)c(-) and mu(+)mu(-) of this resonance, satisfy well the relation predicted by the sequential lepton hypothesis. Combining all these values with the leptonic width of the resonance, the total width of the psi(2S) is determined to be (252+/-37) keV.

Abstract: Radiative decays of the radially excited charmonium resonance, \psi(2S), into \pi\pi, K Kbar and \eta\eta final states have been measured in a sample of 3.96 * 10^6 \psi(2S) events collected by the BES collaboration. The branching ratios B(\psi(2S) -> \gamma f_{2}(1270)) = (2.27 +- 0.26 +- 0.39) * 10^{-4} and B(\psi(2S) -> \gamma f_0(1710)) * B(f_0(1710) -> K^+ K^-) = (5.59 +- 1.12 +- 0.93) * 10^{-5} are obtained. When compared to the corresponding radiative J/\psi decays, the observed \psi(2S) radiative decay rates into \gamma f_2(1270) and \gamma f_0(1710) are consistent with the 15% rule., Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures

Abstract: In a sample of 7.8 million J/{psi} decays collected in the Beijing Spectrometer, the process J/{psi}{yields}{gamma}{eta}{sub c} is observed for five different {eta}{sub c} decay channels: K{sup +}K{sup -}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}, {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}, K{sup {+-}}K{sub S}{sup 0}{pi}{sup {+-}} (with K{sub S}{sup 0}{yields}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}), {phi}{phi} (with {phi}{yields}K{sup +}K{sup -}) and K{sup +}K{sup -}{pi}{sup 0}. From these signals, we determine the mass of {eta}{sub c} to be 2976.6{+-}2.9{+-}1.3 MeV. Combining this result with a previously reported result from a similar study using {psi}(2S){yields}{gamma}{eta}{sub c} detected in the same spectrometer gives m{sub {eta}{sub c}}=2976.3{+-}2.3{+-}1.2 MeV. For the combined samples, we obtain {gamma}{sub {eta}{sub c}}=11.0{+-}8.1{+-}4.1 MeV. (c) 2000 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: A sample of 3.95M $\psi(2S)$ decays registered in the BES detector are used to study final states containing pairs of octet and decuplet baryons. We report branching fractions for $\psi(2S)\to p\bar{p}$, $\Lambda\bar{\Lambda}$, $\Sigma^0\bar{\Sigma}{}^0$, $\Xi^-\bar{\Xi}{}^+$, $\Delta^{++}\bar{\Delta}{}^{--}$, $\Sigma^+(1385)\bar{\Sigma}{}^-(1385)$, $\Xi^0(1530)\bar{\Xi}{}^0(1530)$, and $\Omega^-\bar{\Omega}{}^+$. The data were recorded by the Beijing Spectrometer (BES) at BEPC. A recoil charge method is applied to charm threshold data to determine the charge of the D meson in the recoil from (Formula presented) reconstructed (Formula presented) (Formula presented) mesons. The branching fractions (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) are determined from 10 events with a reconstructed D and a recoiling (Formula presented) In addition, a 90% C.L. upper limit of (Formula presented) is determined from a search for semileptonic decays of the (Formula presented) © 2000 The American Physical Society.

The angular distributions are compared with the general decay amplitude analysis of Cahn. We find that the dipion system requires some D wave amplitude, as well as S wave. On the other hand, the (Formula presented) relative angular momentum is consistent with being pure S wave. The decay distributions have been fit to heavy quarkonium models, including the Novikov-Shifman model. This model, which is written in terms of the parameter (Formula presented) predicts that D wave pions should be present. We determine (Formula presented) based on the joint (Formula presented) distribution. The fraction of D wave amplitude as a function of (Formula presented) is found to decrease with increasing (Formula presented) in agreement with the model. We have also fit the Mannel-Yan model, which is another model that allows D wave pions. © 2000 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: The cross section for charmed meson production at $\sqrt{s} = 4.03 $ and 4.14 GeV has been measured with the Beijing Spectrometer. The measurement was made using 22.3 $pb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ data collected at 4.03 GeV and 1.5 $pb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ data collected at 4.14 GeV. Inclusive observed cross sections for the production of charged and neutral D mesons and momentum spectra are presented. Observed cross sections were radiatively corrected to obtain tree level cross sections. Measurements of the total hadronic cross section are obtained from the charmed meson cross section and an extrapolation of results from below the charm threshold., Comment: 11 pages, 13 figures. Abstract: Hadronic decays of the P-wave spin-triplet charmonium states \chi_cJ (J=0,1,2) are studied using a sample of \psi(2S) decays collected by the BES detector operating at the BEPC storage ring. Branching fractions for the decays \chi_c1 going to K_s^0 K^+ \pi^- + c.c., \chi_c0 going to K_s^0 K_s^0, \chi_c2 going to K_s^0 K_s^0, \chi_c0 going to \phi \phi, \chi_c2 going to \phi \phi and \chi_cJ going to K^+ K^- K^+ K^- are measured for the first time, and those for \chi_cJ going to \pi^+ \pi^- \pi^+ \pi^-, $ \chi_cJ going to \pi^+ \pi^- K^+ K^-, \chi_cJ going to \pi^+ \pi^- p \bar{p} and \chi_cJ going to 3(\pi^+ \pi^-) are measured with improved precision. In addition, we determine the masses of the \chi_c0 and \eta_c to be M_{\chi_{c0}}=3414.1 \pm 0.6(stat) \pm 0.8 (sys) MeV and M_{\eta_c}=2975.8 \pm 3.9(stat) \pm 1.2 (sys) MeV., Comment: 24 pages, 12 figures, 6 tables, use revtex, submitted to Phys. Abstract: A comparison of the rates for {psi}(2S){r_arrow}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}J/{psi}, J/{psi}{r_arrow}l{sup +}l{sup {minus}} and J/{psi}{r_arrow} anything is used to determine the J/{psi} leptonic branching fractions. The results are B(J/{psi}{r_arrow}e{sup +}e{sup {minus}})=(5.90{plus_minus}0.05{plus_minus}0.10){percent} and B(J/{psi}{r_arrow}{mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup {minus}})=(5.84{plus_minus}0.06{plus_minus}0.10){percent}, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. Assuming lepton universality, the leptonic branching fraction of the J/{psi} is B(J/{psi}{r_arrow}l{sup +}l{sup {minus}})=(5.87{plus_minus}0.04{plus_minus}0.09){percent} per species. Abstract: We report the first measurements of the branching fractions: $B(\psi(2S) -> \gamma \eta') = (1.54 \pm 0.31 \pm 0.23) x 10^{-4}$ and $B(\psi(2S) -> \gamma \eta) = (0.53 \pm 0.31 \pm 0.08) x 10^{-4}$. The $\psi(2S)$ to $\gamma \eta'$ result is consistent with expectations of a model that considers the possibility of $\eta' - \eta$ mixing. The ratio of the $\psi(2S)$ to $\gamma \eta'$ and $\psi(2S)$ to $\gamma \eta$ rates is used to determine the pseudoscalar octet-singlet mixing angle.

Abstract: The mass of the \ensuremath{\tau} lepton has been measured at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider using the Beijing Spectrometer. A search near threshold for ${\mathit{e}}^{+}$${\mathit{e}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\tau}}}^{+}$${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\tau}}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ was performed. Candidate events were identified by requiring that one \ensuremath{\tau} decay via \ensuremath{\tau}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}e\ensuremath{\nu}\ensuremath{\nu}\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}, and the other via \ensuremath{\tau}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\nu}\ensuremath{\nu}\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}. The mass value, obtained from a fit to the energy dependence of the ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\tau}}}^{+}$${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\tau}}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ cross section, is ${\mathit{m}}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\tau}}}$=1776.${9}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}0.5}^{+0.4}$\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.2 MeV.

Abstract: The Beijing Spectrometer (BES) experiment has observed purely leptonic decays of the D_s meson in the reaction e^+e^-→D_s^+D_s^- at a c.m. energy of 4.03 GeV. Three events are observed in which one D_s decays hadronically to φπ, K̅ ^(*0)K, or K̅^0K, and the other decays leptonically to μν_μ or τν_τ. With the assumption of μ-τ universality, values of the branching fraction, B(D_s→μν_μ) = (1.5_(-0.6-0.2)^(+1.3+0.3))%, and the D_s pseudoscalar decay constant, f_D_s = (4.3_(-1.3-0.4)^(+1.5+0.4))×10^2 MeV, are obtained.

47. Sidedness and addition of chemotherapy associated with treatment outcomes of regorafenib for metastatic colorectal cancer: a population-wide cohort study

Abstract: Background: Regorafenib is a salvage option for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Understanding the prognostic factors for mCRC patients undergoing regorafenib treatment can help optimize therapeutic strategies. Materials and methods: We searched Taiwan’s National Health Insurance database for patients who began regorafenib treatment for mCRC between 1 September 2015 and 31 December 2018. Taiwan’s National Death Registry and the Taiwan Cancer Registry were examined for data on survival and clinicopathological variables, respectively. Results: In total, 3643 patients were included in the analysis. The median time to treatment discontinuation (TTD) was 2.3 months, and the median overall survival (OS) was 7.2 months. Compared with the patients with a right-sided tumor, those with a left-sided primary tumor exhibited a significantly longer TTD (2.4 versus 2.1 months, P < 0.001) and OS (7.6 versus 6.1 months, P < 0.001). The patients who received chemotherapy with regorafenib also exhibited a longer TTD (2.6 versus 2.2 months, P < 0.001) and OS (8.3 versus 6.7 months, P < 0.001) than did the patients who did not. In multivariate analysis, left-sidedness and chemotherapy addition were confirmed as predictors of longer TTD and OS. Because of the interaction between sidedness and KRAS mutation, we established separate Cox models and identified that left-sidedness was an independent predictor of longer TTD and OS for KRAS wild-type tumors but not for KRAS-mutant tumors. Conclusions: In this population-wide cohort study, left-sidedness of the primary tumor and the addition of chemotherapy were associated with a longer OS and TTD for regorafenib treatment for mCRC.

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of Jisuikang formula-medicated serum for promoting spinal cord injury (SCI) repair in rats and explore the possible mechanism., Methods: Thirty adult SD rats were randomized into sham-operated group, SCI (induced using a modified Allen method) model group, and Jisuikang formula-medicated serum treatment group. After the operations, the rats were treated with normal saline or Jisuikang by gavage on a daily basis for 14 days, and the changes in hindlimb motor function of the rats was assessed with Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan (BBB) scores and inclined-plate test. The injured spinal cord tissues were sampled from the SCI rat models for single-cell RNA sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis was performed to identify the target genes of Jisuikang , spinal cord injury and glycolysis. In the cell experiment, cultured astrocytes from neonatal SD rat cortex were treated with SOX2 alone or in combination with Jisuikang -medicated serum for 21 days, and the protein expressions of PKM2, p-PKM2 and YAP and colocalization of PKM2 and YAP in the cells were analyzed with Western blotting and immunofluorescence staining, respectively., Results: The SCI rats with Jisuikang treatment showed significantly improved BBB scores and performance in inclined-plate test. At the injury site, high PKM2 expression was detected in various cell types. Bioinformatic analysis identified the HIPPO-YAP signaling pathway as the target pathway of Jisuikang . In cultured astrocytes, SOX2 combined with the mediated serum, as compared with SOX2 alone, significantly increased PKM2, p-PKM2 and YAP expressions and entry of phosphorylated PKM2 into the nucleus, and promoted PKM2 and YAP co-localization in the cells., Conclusion: Jisuikang formula accelerates SCI repair in rats possibly by promoting aerobic glycolysis of the astrocytes via activating the PKM2/YAP axis to induce reprogramming of the astrocytes into neurons.

49. [Effect of nanofat combined with platelet-rich plasma for treatment of pressure injury wounds in rats].

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of allogeneic nanofat combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for treatment of pressure injury wounds in rats., Methods: Forty SD rat models with pressure injury wounds were randomly divided into 4 groups ( n =10) for treatment with nanofat, PRP (platelet count about 6.2 times that of normal whole blood), nanofat combined with PRP, or PBS only (control group).Wound healing was observed on days 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 14 and wound healing rate was calculated. On days 5, 10 and 14, tissue samples were taken from the wounds for HE staining, Masson staining, immunohistochemistry, and Western blotting to observe inflammatory cell infiltration, collagen formation, deposition and arrangement, angiogenesis, inflammatory factor expression and VEGF expression in the wounds., Results: The combined treatment with nanofat and PRP achieved the highest wound healing rates at all the time points of observation ( P < 0.05), enhanced inflammatory cell infiltration on day 5, and accelerated dermal and epidermal growth compared with the other treatments ( P < 0.05). The combined treatment also more effectively promoted collagen expression and its regular arrangement ( P < 0.05) and enhanced angiogenesis in the wounds than nanofat and PRP alone, without significant difference between the latter two treatments ( P > 0.05). Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting showed that the expressions of MCP-1 and VEGF in the wounds were the highest in the combined treatment group ( P < 0.05) and were higher in nanofat and PRP treatment groups than in the control group ( P < 0.05)., Conclusion: Nanofat combined with PRP can significantly promote healing of pressure injury wounds in rats, and their synergistic effect sheds light on a new strategy for treatment of pressure injury wounds.

50. [Efficacy and safety of superpulse thulium laser lithotripsy in the intracavitary treatment of urinary calculi].

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of superpulse thulium laser lithotripsy in the intracavitary treatment of urinary calculi. Methods: From May 2021 to July 2022, patients diagnosed with urinary calculi were screened in four medical centers. Those who met the criteria were treated with superpulse thulium fiber laser under endoscope. The patients' perioperative conditions were recorded. The main effective index was stone-free rate (SFR) 4 weeks after operation, the main safety index was the failure rate of the experimental instruments during operation, and the secondary safety index was the incidence rate of perioperative complications. Results: A total of 76 eligible patients completed superpulse thulium fiber laser lithotripsy, with an average age of (52.0±11.1) years, 54 males and 22 females. There were 31 renal stones, 43 ureteral stones and 2 bladder stones. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy was performed in 17 patients. Ureteroscopy lithotripsy/flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy was performed in 57 patients and transurethral bladder lithotripsy was in 2 patients. The lithotripsy time of all patients was (50.9±31.4) minutes. There was no failure of experimental instruments during the operation. Six patients refused follow-up examination after operation. The incidence of postoperative adverse events was 61.8% (47/76). One patient needed hospitalization due to inguinal hernia after operation, and the rest were classified as Clavien-dindo grade 1-2. The SFR was 94.3% (66/70) at 4 weeks after operation. Conclusion: It is effective and safe to use superpulse thulium fiber laser in the treatment of urinary calculi.
