1. Statistic electromotive force of solid-state conductor P / polar liquid L / solid-state conductor N capacitor

Abstract

Based on the energy conversion of the dynamic electric effect from the solid/liquid contact double electric layer is the dynamic electromotive potential, this paper studies the static appearance and the release of the electric field energy of the solid/liquid contact double electric layer, so a special capacitor (P/L/N capacitor) of solid conductor P / polar liquid L / solid conductor N is constructed. The observations based on experiments are as follows: (i) the contact double electric layer derived from the internal potential difference polarization of the solid conductor / polar liquid is equivalent to the external electric field polarization of the ordinary capacitor. The formation process of the contact double electric layer is the spontaneous charging process of the P/L/N capacitor, and the P/L/N capacitor still shows the electric field energy of the contact double electric layer. (ii) Because the polarized external potential difference of the solid conductor / polar liquid contacting the double electric layer is always less than the internal potential difference, the short-circuit P/L/N capacitor also has a continuous electromotive force after the discharge, statically releasing the electric field energy contacting the double electric layer. (iii) The contact double electric layer of solid conductor / polar liquid is produced spontaneously caused by mutual contact, and it is also a self-organizing process of absorbing the environmental heat energy into the electric field energy of the contact double electric layer. P/L/N capacitors realize thermoelectric conversion by releasing the electric field energy of the contact double electric layer. 3. Thermovoltaic Effects of van der Waals Heterojunctions based on Inert Conductor/Solution Interfaces

Abstract

It is found that if the inert conductor P has a larger electron work function $\phi$ and surface state function G than the inert conductor N, the inert conductor P and the inert conductor N are isolated by a separator and then immersed in the solution S (abbreviation: inert conductorP$\mid$solutionS$\mid$inert conductorN, or as P$\mid$S$\mid$N). Excluding the electrochemical reaction and thermoelectric effect of P$\mid$S$\mid$N, etc., it is measured that the voltage between the two conductors after the open circuit continues to increase to a certain stable maximum value. Then, the current after the closed-circuit continues to decrease to a certain stable minimum value. Analysis of the structure and properties of P$\mid$S$\mid$N shows that the inert conductor/solution interface relies on physical adsorption to construct van der Waals heterojunctions and that two van der Waals heterojunctions of different potentials form a P-N junction for P$\mid$S$\mid$N. The inert conductors P and N have different potentials. This electric field energy is expressed in the outer circuit when the circuit is open, due to the joint action of the electron work function $\phi$ and the surface state function G, P$\mid$S$\mid$N generates a larger built-in electric field and obtains a larger voltage. When the circuit is closed, P$\mid$S$\mid$N only has the effect of the surface state function G, which produces a smaller built-in electric field, results in a smaller voltage and current. Abstract

ObjectiveIn order to put forward suggestions and references for the revision of the standard， knowledge and implementation of the national food safety standard frozen drinks and ingredients （GB 2759—2015） by relevant personnel nationwide were investigated and analyzed.MethodsThe questionnaire survey was conducted. The main respondents were personnel from food production and operation enterprises， health departments， market supervision departments， testing institutions， and so on. The data were statistically analyzed by Microsoft Excel 2013 and SPSS 20.0.ResultsFour hundred and forty valid questionnaires were collected in this survey. The awareness rate of the respondents to GB 2759—2015 was 55.5% （244/440）. They unanimously recognized the important role of the standard on the quality of frozen drinks and food safety， and the overall evaluation of the implementation effect was “good” （with an average of 4.42 points）. Twenty-four effective feedback were received， and 36 people had opinions and suggestions accounting for 15%.ConclusionThe awareness of GB 2759—2015 among the relevant personnel was not good. Abstract

The utilization of red mud in the production of ceramic products represents an efficient approach for harnessing red mud resources. Composite ceramics were prepared from Al2O3, red mud, and Cr2O3 by atmospheric pressure sintering, and the phase composition and microscopic morphology of the composite ceramics were investigated by XRD, SEM, and EDS. The flexural strength and fracture toughness of composite ceramics were measured by three-point bending and SENB methods. The results showed that the composite ceramics sintered at 1500 °C with the addition of 1.5 wt.% Cr2O3 had a flexural strength of 297.03 MPa, a hardness of 17.44 GPa, and a densification of 97.75% and fracture toughness of 6.57 MPa·m1/2. The addition of Cr2O3 helps to improve the low strength of red mud composite ceramic samples. The CaAl12O19 phase can form a similar "endo-crystalline" structure with Al2O3 grains, which changes the fracture mode of the ceramics and thus significantly improves the fracture toughness. The wettability tests conducted on Cu and RM–Al2O3 composite ceramic materials revealed that the composites exhibited non-wetting behavior towards Cu at elevated temperatures, while no interfacial reactions or elemental diffusion were observed. Composites have higher surface energy than Al2O3 ceramic at high temperatures. The present study provides a crucial foundation for enhancing the comprehensive utilization value of red mud and the application of red mud ceramics in the field of electronic packaging. Abstract

For starved-oil or solid lubrication of high-speed instrument angular contact ball bearings, friction heating and wear are the main reasons of bearing failures. This paper presents a dynamic wear simulation model to investigate the impacts of different preload methods and the changes of preload caused by wear on bearing wear life. The integral value QV of stress and sliding velocity in the contact ellipses between a ball and the inner and outer races determines friction heating and wear. The changes of QV with the friction coefficient and the wear volume under constant-force preload and fixed-position preload are analyzed. Results show that under the same initial preload, the QV decreases with an increase of the friction coefficient for both preload methods, and the latter is slightly larger. The wear of the ball and the race is equivalent to the ball diameter reduction. The QV of constant-force preload is almost not changed with a decrease of the ball diameter, but for fixed-position preload, the value decreases firstly and then increases substantially due to insufficient preload, and slipping occurs, the ball diameter is reduced by 0.025%, while the preload is reduced by 60.33%. An estimation of the bearing wear life under different preload methods requires a consideration of the changes in the wear rate of bearing parts. Abstract

A red Mn4+-doped fluoride Rb2NaGaF6:Mn4+ (RNGFM) was synthesized by the co-precipitation method at mild conditions. Theoretical calculations reveal a vacancy of Rb+ forming with lower energy to balance the charge mismatch when one Mn4+ takes the place of one Ga3+ in RNGFM. The as-prepared RNGFM phosphor shows an internal quantum efficiency (IQE) of 70.3 % excited by the blue light (~ 460 nm). A wide color gamut of 108.6 % versus NTSC was calculated and shown good potential for backlight LED displays.

Abstract

Crystal phosphors have many unique advantages compared with powdery ones. Herein, room-temperature-grown millimeter-sized single-crystal phosphors of Cs2XF6:Mn4+ (X = Ge, Si, and Ti) with remarkably higher external quantum efficiency than the corresponding powdery samples are reported. In addition, as compared with the powdery ones, the crystal samples exhibit much better stability toward water under different pH conditions. The red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) based on Cs2XF6:Mn4+ crystals show significantly improved luminous efficiency than those based on their corresponding powders. An assembled white LED device composed of the two layers of phosphors, i.e., the crystal (such as Cs2GeF6:Mn4+) and commercial Y3Al5O12:Ce3+, on a blue chip exhibits intense warm white light with high luminous efficiency (up to 193 lm W−1), high color rendering indexes (88), and low correlated color temperatures (3107 K). Hence, these crystals with greatly improved efficiency and stability can be potentially applied in high-quality LED backlighting display and white LED lighting, especially inside the micro-LED devices. © 2019 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Abstract

This work presents a reliable approach to trace teas’ geographical origins despite changes in teas caused by different harvest years. A total of 1447 tea samples collected from various areas in 2014 (660 samples) and 2015 (787 samples) were detected by FT-NIR. Seven classifiers trained on the 2014 dataset all succeeded to trace origins of samples collected in 2014; however, they all failed to predict origins for the 2015 samples due to different data distributions and imbalanced dataset. Three outlier detection based undersampling approaches—one-class SVM (OC-SVM), isolation forest and elliptic envelope—were then proposed; as a result, the highest macro average recall (MAR) for the 2015 dataset was improved from 56.86% to 73.95% (by SVM). A model updating approach was also applied, and the prediction MAR was significantly improved with increase in the updating rate. The best MAR (90.31%) was first achieved by the OC-SVM combined SVM classifier at a 50% rate.

Abstract

Transition-metal activated phosphors are an important family of luminescent materials that can produce white light with an outstanding color rendering index and correlated color temperature for use in light-emitting diodes. In recent years, work in this quite “hot” research field has focused on the development of Mn2+ and Mn4+ activated red phosphors. In this review article, we provide an overview of recent studies on Mn2+ and Mn4+ doped phosphors, including detailed synthesis routes (solid-state reaction and wet-chemical synthesis) and description of luminescence mechanisms and phosphors’ behaviors; discuss their promising applications in white light-emitting diodes; and present an extensive list of references to representative works in this field.

Abstract

In current work, a red-emitting phosphor K2TiF6:Mn4+ was prepared by a facile method using H2O to replace high toxic HF as solvent at room temperature. Its structure and morphology were characterized by the XRD and SEM measurement. The obtained K2Ti0.96F6:0.04Mn4+ presents intense excitation band in the blue-light region and narrow-band emission with high color purity. Meanwhile, this sample is of the excellent thermal-quenching resistance and its emission intensity at 160 °C is still higher than that at 20 °C. The white light-emitting diode (wLED) fabricated with the commercial Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ and K2Ti0.96F6:0.04Mn4+ shows excellent photoelectric performances (the color rendering index of 88.4, the color temperature of 4138 K, and the luminous efficiency of 178.5 lm/W). So this as-synthesized phosphor may be find application on wLEDs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
