The main purpose of the study is to investigate the mechanical properties around an underground gas storage cavern in bedded salt rock. Firstly, considering the characteristics of the salt rock formation in China, the mechanical model was simplified into a hollow cylinder, which containing non-salt interlayer. In terms of elastic theory, Love displacement function was developed, and the elastic general solution of stress and deformation components were obtained after determining the undetermined coefficients. Under the same condition, numerical simulation was carried out. The validity of the elastic general solution is verified by comparing to numerical simulation results. Furthermore, Based on the feasible general elastic solution, viscoelastic solution was obtained through Laplace transformation and inverse Laplace transform, which could provide reference for the study on the stability and tightness of underground gas storage carven during operation to some extent.

Cocaine is thought to work by blocking the dopamine transporter (DAT), although a direct link has not been established in humans. Research using positron emission tomography, determining the levels of DAT occupancy required to produce a 'high', is described. It found that about 47% of the transporters needed to be blocked to have an effect, and justify targeting DAT for medication development to treat cocaine addicts.

Abstract: Electrochemical intercalation of lithium ions from a saturated LiNO3 aqueous electrolyte solution into LiV3O8 prepared by a solid-state reaction at 680°C was studied with cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Results show that there are three steps of intercalation in the presence of an aqueous electrolyte, in agreement with those previously observed with organic liquid electrolytes. In addition, variations of several parameters including the charge transfer resistance (R ct), the capacitance of the double layer (C DL), the Warburg diffusion impedance (Z w), and diffusion coefficient of lithium ions () during the intercalation process are reported. Abstract: Carbon-coated spinel Li4Ti5O12 anode material was prepared by heat-treating the mixture of TiO2 (anatase), Li2CO3 and sugar. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscope and transmission electron microscope. A nanolayer of amorphous carbon was homogeneously coated on the surface of Li4Ti5O12 particles. Electrochemical results show that the carbon-coated Li4Ti5O12 displays larger diffusion coefficient of lithum ions, higher rate capability and excellent reversibility. Its reversible capacity is approximately 160mAhg−1 at the rate 0.1C and good cycling behavior at different current density is achieved. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: This work is a continuation of the previous article and it focuses on low solar activity and modeling effort. NeQuick model uses Epstein layer formalism to model each part of the profile. We study the diurnal and seasonal variations of B2bot, ΔB2 (B2best − B2NeQuick2) and R (B2best/B2NeQuick 2) at Hainan station during low solar activity. The results show it is possible to improve the B2bot parameter of the NeQuick model at that region during low solar activity. Then, we use a function ƒ(t) with LT in different seasons to correct the B2bot formula of NeQuick 2. The correction shows that (1) By the correction formula, the B2bot of NeQuick is improved. The maximum standard deviation is improved for 9km. (2) The correction formula is more effective in summer than in equinox and winter and performs better during early morning hours than during the rest of the day. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: NeQuick ionospheric electron density model, which has been developed to version 2, produces the full electron density profile in the ionosphere. Each part of the profile is modeled using Epstein layer formalism. Simple empirical relations are used to compute the thicknesses of each layer. In order to validate the B2bot parameter in the NeQuick model during high solar activity, we use the data at Hainan, China (109.1°E, 19.5°N; Geomagnetic coordinates: 178.95°E, 8.1°N), measured with DPS-4, and study the diurnal and seasonal variations of B2bot, ΔB2 (B2best −B2NeQuick2) and the seasonal median values of B2best/B2NeQuick2 at that region. The results show that, (1) The differences between B2best and B2NeQuick2 have diurnal and seasonal variations. (2) The diurnal variations of B2NeQuick2 are smaller than those of B2best. (3) Generally, except for early morning the experimental values are properly reproduced. (4) Generally, during morning the NeQuick model has an underestimation.
