Background: Job crafting is defined as a series of proactive behaviors exhibited by employees in order to balance work resources and needs, which has a significant positive impact on the nurses. It is necessary to find the core factors that influence the job crafting, as emergency nurses deal with the most complex tasks, so as to improve their job satisfaction. Objectives: To investigate the core factors of job crafting among emergency nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used in the study. A total of 255 nurses were recruited from two hospitals in Zhengzhou and Shenzhen, China in December 2021. 255 nurses completed an online questionnaire. Hierarchical regression models and fsQCA models were used to explore the factors influencing job crafting among emergency nurses and helped us to identify core factors. Results: The hierarchical regression model and the fsQCA model found that the occupational benefit, psychological empowerment, and research experience were the core factors affecting their job crafting. Job involvement was not significant in the regression model, but the QCA model indicated that it needs to be combined with other factors to impact on job crafting. The QCA model uncovered seven key conditional configurations that led to high and low job crafting among emergency nurses, explaining 80.0% of the results for high job crafting and 82.6% of the results for the low job crafting, respectively. Conclusions: The results of this study provide valuable insights into the job crafting experienced by emergency nurses. Junior emergency nurses should be granted a high level of psychological empowerment without assigning them overly complex tasks, such as research tasks, as these challenges can stop their job crafting. During the software development process, numerous bugs are reported daily in the software bug repositories. Bug triage assigned these bugs to the most relevant and expert developer for resolution. Moreover, assigning bugs to an incompetent or an over‐engaged developer causes repeated reassignment to other developers until it is resolved. This problem can be solved by devising a triage process that assigns bugs to not only expert developers but also to those who are either under‐engaged or reasonably engaged but are not over‐engaged in work. This paper has designed and implemented work engagement sensitive bug triage that resolves the issue of assigning bugs to developers considering their due work engagement, expertise as well as the current state of activity. For this purpose, a developer profile is built by using metrics to generate three types of scores: technical skill, work engagement and work experience. Metadata features like developer‐name, email, developer‐work‐experience in bug resolution, last and present‐work‐activity, timestamp, component and priority are used for it. A multi‐criteria‐based Henry–Garret technique is used to generate a single ranked list of developers from three ranked lists. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated on four large OOS projects: Mozilla, Eclipse, Netbeans, and Open Office covering 895,439 bug reports accumulated for 33 years of development. The overall system accuracy of the proposed triage using all four datasets is 91.96 ± 0.05% which is 5.87% better than previously published work. The proposed method is achieved up to 90.30 ± 0.05 and 97.1 ± 0.05 MRR and accuracy of reassignment respectively that indicates how significantly it re‐assigns the bug to the relevant developers. The paper presents the construction and technological aspects of a device for pitting fruit, especially cherries, on an industrial scale. The presented work includes design solutions related to the transport of pits removed from pitted fruit, as well as a gravity chute, with an indication of potential operational problems related to the machine design. The authors proposed the use of a screw conveyor, especially in the case of longer drums, to optimize the process. Some analyses are also presented, including friction occurring during the transport of pits. Ultimately, a specific design concept is presented that integrates the screw conveyor with the pitting drum. The presented conclusions point to practical technological and engineering aspects related to fruit processing, suggesting the potential for innovative solutions in the design of pitters. To facilitate the integration of a fragrance encapsulation system into different products to achieve effective releases, a dual-responsive release system with pH and thermal trigger control is designed in this work. A series of ZIF-8 (M) and bilayer ZIF-8-on-ZIF-8 (MM) materials are synthesized by a solvent method at room temperature. The fragrance is encapsulated into the ZIFs by dynamic adsorption or in situ encapsulation combined dynamic adsorption. The fragrance loading contributed by dynamic adsorption was as high as 80%. The fragrance loaded in the double-layer MM host was almost twice that of the monolayer host M due to the stronger electrostatic interaction between MM and vanillin. In the pH and thermal trigger response release experiments, the second MOF layer in the MM host, as a controlled entity, greatly improved the load and kinetic equilibrium time of vanillin, and realized the controlled release of guest molecules. One central goal of bioprocess engineering is to maximize the production of specific chemicals using microbial cell factories. Many bioprocesses are one-stage (batch) processes (OSPs), in which growth and product synthesis are coupled. However, OSPs often exhibit low volumetric productivities due to the competition for substrate for biomass and product synthesis implying trade-offs between biomass and product yields. Two-stage or, more generally, multi-stage processes (MSPs) offer the potential to tackle this trade-off for improved efficiency of bioprocesses, for example, by separating growth and production. MSPs have recently gained much attention, also because of a rapidly growing toolbox for the dynamic control of metabolic fluxes. Despite these promising advancements, computational tools specifically tailored for the optimal design of MSPs in the field of biotechnology are still lacking. Here, we present OptMSP, a new Python-based toolbox for identifying optimal MSPs maximizing a user-defined process metrics (such as volumetric productivity, yield, and titer or combinations thereof) under given constraints. In contrast to other methods, our framework starts with a set of well-defined modules representing relevant stages or sub-processes. Experimentally determined parameters (such as growth rates, substrate uptake and product formation rates) are used to build suitable ODE models describing the dynamic behavior of each module. OptMSP finds then the optimal combination of those modules, which, together with the optimal switching time points, maximize a given objective function. Background: India is going through the maintenance phase of VL elimination programme which may be threatened by the persistence of hidden parasite pools among asymptomatic leishmanial infection (ALI) and PKDL. The present work was designed to determine the burden of VL, PKDL, and ALI and to assess the role of treatment of ALI in maintaining post-elimination phase. Methods and finding: The study was undertaken in Malda district, West Bengal, India during October 2016 to September 2021. Study areas were divided into 'Study' and 'Control' arms. VL and PKDL cases of both the arms were diagnosed by three active mass surveys with an interval of one year and treated as per National guideline. ALI of study arm was treated like VL. ALI of control arm was followed up to determine their fate. Fed sand-fly pools were analysed for parasitic DNA. No significant difference was noted between the incidence of VL and PKDL in both the arms. Incidence of ALI declined sharply in study arm but an increasing trend was observed in control arm. Significantly higher rate of sero-conversion was noted in control arm and was found to be associated with untreated ALI burden. Parasitic DNA was detected in 22.8% ALI cases and 2.2% sand-fly pools. Conclusion: Persistence of a significant number of PKDL and ALI and ongoing transmission, as evidenced by new infection and detection of leishmanial DNA in vector sand-flies, may threaten the maintenance of post-elimination phase. Emphasis should be given for elimination of pathogen to prevent resurgence of VL epidemics. In both 'Study' and 'Control' arm, the sero-conversion rate was significantly associated with untreated ALI burden. Persistence of significant number of PKDL and ALI and ongoing transmission as evidenced by new infection and detection of leishmanial DNA in sand-flies may jeopardise the maintenance of post-elimination phase. Therefore, constant vigilance is highly needed to prevent resurgence of VL epidemic. Detection and long-term follow-up of ALI may also help to sustain the elimination. The aim of this work was to design a kirigami-based metamaterial with optical properties. This idea came from the necessity of a study that can improve common camouflage techniques to yield a product that is cheap, light, and easy to manufacture and assemble. The author investigated the possibility of exploiting a rotation to achieve transparency and color changing. One of the most important examples of a kirigami structure is a geometry based on rotating squares, which is a one-degree-of-freedom mechanism. In this study, light polarization and birefringence were exploited to obtain transparency and color-changing properties using two polarizers and common cellophane tape. These elements were assembled with a rotating-square structure that allowed the rotation of a polarizer placed on the structure with respect to a fixed polarizer equipped with cellophane layers. This study investigated the relationships between human resource (HR) practices, employee psychological empowerment, employee innovative work behavior, and firm innovation capability in the context of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector in Jordan. Employing the Social Exchange Theory (SET) as a guiding framework, this study explored how employee psychological empowerment and innovative work behavior mediated the influence of HR practices on a firm's innovative capabilities. Drawing on extensive data collected from ICT organizations in Jordan, our analysis had several key findings. A significant positive correlation between HR practices and psychological empowerment was observed. Job design emerged as the most influential factor affecting psychological empowerment, whereas compensation had a weaker impact. Furthermore, we established that psychological empowerment significantly enhanced innovative work behavior, underscoring its role as a catalyst for innovative work behavior within the sector. Finally, our study supported the theory that psychological empowerment influenced a firms' innovation capabilities, emphasizing the pivotal role of employee empowerment in driving firm-level innovation in the Jordanian ICT sector. These findings provide insights for academic and practical audiences, clarifying how HR practices, employee psychological empowerment, and innovative work behavior collectively influenced firm innovation capability within the unique context of the Jordanian ICT sector. Job crafting refers to the self‐initiated work behaviours employees use to change their job characteristics. According to job design theory, these crafting‐induced changes in job characteristics should impact employee outcomes. Job characteristics can therefore be proposed as a key mechanism through which job crafting affects employee outcomes and we present cross‐sectional meta‐analytic structural equation modelling of this key mechanism (K = 58 independent samples, N = 20,347 employees). Results show significant indirect effects between task resource crafting and employee outcomes (well‐being and positive job attitudes) via task resources, and significant indirect effects between social job crafting and employee outcomes (well‐being and positive job attitudes) via social resources. Results also indicated that challenge and hindrance demand crafting increase job strain via increases in job demand. Overall, our findings indicate that job characteristics are an important job crafting mechanism, that employees may have difficulty in crafting job demands in ways that produce beneficial outcomes, and that future research needs to consider simultaneously the range of mechanisms through which job crafting affects outcomes. This treatise studies a microoptoelectromechanical accelerometer (MOEMA) with an optical measuring transducer built according to the optical tunneling principle (evanescent coupling). The work discusses the design of the accelerometer's microelectromechanical sensing element (MSE) and states the requirements for the design to achieve a sensitivity threshold of 1 µg m/s2 at a calculated eigenvalue of the MSE. The studies cover the selection of the dimensions, mass, eigenfrequency and corresponding stiffness of the spring suspension, gravity-induced cross-displacements. The authors propose and experimentally test an optical transducer positioning system represented by a capacitive actuator. This approach allows avoiding the restrictions in the fabrication of the transducer conditioned by the extremely high aspect ratio of deep silicon etching (more than 100). The designed MOEMA is tested on three manufactured prototypes. The experiments show that the sensitivity threshold of the accelerometers is 2 µg. For the dynamic range from minus 0.01 g to plus 0.01 g, the average nonlinearity of the accelerometers' characteristics ranges from 0.7% to 1.62%. For the maximum dynamic range from minus 0.015 g to plus 0.05 g, the nonlinearity ranges from 2.34% to 2.9%, having the maximum deviation at the edges of the regions. The power gain of the three prototypes of accelerometers varies from 12.321 mW/g to 26.472 mW/g. Due to the large computational and GPUs memory cost of semantic segmentation, some works focus on designing a lite weight model to achieve a good trade‐off between computational cost and accuracy. A common method is to combined CNN and vision transformer. However, these methods ignore the contextual information of multi receptive fields. And existing methods often fail to inject detailed information losses in the downsampling of multi‐scale feature. To fix these issues, we propose AG Self‐Attention, which is Enhanced Atrous Self‐Attention (EASA), and Gate Attention. AG Self‐Attention adds the contextual information of multi receptive fields into the global semantic feature. Specifically, the Enhanced Atrous Self‐Attention uses weight shared atrous convolution with different atrous rates to get the contextual information under the specific different receptive fields. Gate Attention introduces gating mechanism to inject detailed information into the global semantic feature and filter detailed information by producing "fusion" gate and "update" gate. In order to prove our insight. We conduct numerous experiments in common semantic segmentation datasets, consisting of ADE20 K, COCO‐stuff, PASCAL Context, Cityscapes, to show that our method achieves state‐of‐the‐art performance and achieve a good trade‐off between computational cost and accuracy. This paper introduces an efficient barrier model for enhancing smart building surveillance in harsh environment with thin walls and structures. After the main research problem of minimizing the total number of wall-recognition surveillance barriers, we propose two distinct algorithms, Centralized Node Deployment and Adaptation Node Deployment, which are designed to address the challenge by strategic placement of surveillance nodes within the smart building. The Centralized Node Deployment aligns nodes along the thin walls, ensuring consistent communication coverage and effectively countering potential disruptions. Conversely, the Adaptation Node Deployment begins with random node placement, which adapts over time to ensure efficient communication across the building. The novelty of this work is in designing a novel barrier system to achieve energy efficiency and reinforced surveillance in a thin-wall environment. Instead of a real environment, we use an ad hoc server for simulations with various scenarios and parameters. Then, two different algorithms are executed through those simulation environments and settings. Also, with detailed discussions, we provide the performance analysis, which shows that both algorithms deliver similar performance metrics over extended periods, indicating their suitability for long-term operation in smart infrastructure. The minimum spanning tree problem (MSTP) revolves around creating a spanning tree (ST) within a graph/network that incurs the least cost compared to all other potential STs. This represents a vital and fundamental issue in the realm of combinational optimization problems (COP). Supply chain management, communication, transportation, and routing are a few examples of real-world issues that have been represented using the MSTP. Uncertainties exist in almost every real life application of MSTP due to inconsistency, improperness, incompleteness, vagueness and indeterminacy of the information and It generates really challenging scenarios to determine the arc length precisely. The main motivation behind this research work is to design a method for MST which will be simple enough and effective in real world scenarios. Neutrosophic set (NS) is a well known renowned theory, which one can this type of uncertainty in the edge weights of the ST. In this article, we review trapezoid neutrosophic set/number to describe the arc weight of a neutrosophic network for MSTP. Here, we introduce an algorithm for solving MSTP in neutrosophic environment. In our proposed method, we describe the uncertainties in Prim's algorithm for MSTP using trapezoid neutrosophic set as edge cost. Objective: This study investigates how team cognition occurs in care transitions from operating room (OR) to intensive care unit (ICU). We then seek to understand how the sociotechnical system and team cognition are related. Background: Effective handoffs are critical to ensuring patient safety and have been the subject of many improvement efforts. However, the types of team-level cognitive processing during handoffs have not been explored, nor is it clear how the sociotechnical system shapes team cognition. Method: We conducted this study in an academic, Level 1 trauma center in the Midwestern United States. Twenty-eight physicians (surgery, anesthesia, pediatric critical care) and nurses (OR, ICU) participated in semi-structured interviews. We performed qualitative content analysis and epistemic network analysis to understand the relationships between system factors, team cognition in handoffs and outcomes. Results: Participants described three team cognition functions in handoffs—(1) information exchange, (2) assessment, and (3) planning and decision making; information exchange was mentioned most. Work system factors influenced team cognition. Inter-professional handoffs facilitated information exchange but included large teams with diverse backgrounds communicating, which can be inefficient. Intra-professional handoffs decreased team size and role diversity, which may simplify communication but increase information loss. Participants in inter-professional handoffs reflected on outcomes significantly more in relation to system factors and team cognition (p < 0.001), while participants in intra-professional handoffs discussed handoffs as a task. Conclusion: Handoffs include team cognition, which was influenced by work system design. Opportunities for handoff improvement include a flexibly standardized process and supportive tools/technologies. We recommend incorporating perspectives of the patient and family in future work. Significance: The photoacoustic (PA) technique, a noninvasive pump-probe technique, has found interesting applications in biomedical tissue diagnosis over the last decade. To take it a step further to clinical applications, the PA technique needs to be designed as an instrument focusing on a compact design, reducing the cost, and quickly providing a quantitative diagnosis. Aim: This work presents a design and characterization of a cost-effective, compact PA sensing instrument for biomedical tissue diagnosis. Approach: A compact laser diode case design is developed to house several laser diodes for PA excitation, and a pulsed current supply unit is also developed in-house to power the laser diodes to generate a 25 ns current pulse at a frequency of 20 kHz. After PA experimental data acquisition, the signal's frequency spectra were calculated to characterize the tissue quantitatively and correlated with their mechanobiological properties. Results: The corresponding dominant frequency peak in the PA spectral response (PASR) study was low in the fibrofatty normal breast tissue 0.26 x 0.03 MHz, compared to the dominant frequency peak of 1.60 x 0.016 MHz in the fibrocystic disease tissue, which had increased glandular and stromal elements, thereby increased tissue density. The histopathological findings correlated with the PASR results, and the fibrocystic breast disease tissue exhibited a higher dominant frequency peak and energy compared to the normal breast tissue. Conclusions: We experimented with an in vitro PASR study of fibrocystic human breast tissues and successfully differentiated different tissue types using quantitative spectral parameters peak frequency, mean frequency, and spectral energy. Point‐of‐care (PoC) and organ‐on‐chip (OoC) devices represent promising microfluidic applications for in vitro analysis and miniaturized analytical studies, reducing the need for traditional animal‐based tests for drug discovery and toxicity studies. Using thermoplastics in microfluidic device manufacturing provides interesting functionalities for expansion of these devices into market. However, market growth requires manufacturing large quantities for low cost, which can be achieved using injection molding techniques. This work involves the design of a microfluidic device with different aspect ratio channels to compare injection molding (IM) and injection‐compression molding (ICM) processes, as well as the design and manufacturing of a metallic insert containing machined inverted microstructures. Injected parts are validated visually, dimensionally, and functionally. The differences between both techniques and two grades of cyclic olefin copolymer materials are analyzed to evaluate microfluidic device mass production feasibility concluding that although the machining process for inverted high aspect ratio microstructures is not mature yet, both IM and ICM processes allow the mass manufacturing of microfluidic devices in thermoplastic. Parts processed by ICM show better replicability of microfluidic structures and less internal stresses generate during the injection process than IM parts, highlighting the potential of this process to achieve thermoplastic microfluidic devices to market. The Pogo suppression method can be divided into active suppression and passive suppression. For practical engineering, passive suppression is generally achieved through accumulators, but this method sometimes cannot meet the design requirements of liquid rockets with uncertain model parameters and time-varying parameters. As for active suppression methods, state variables are mostly used as feedback thus leading to poor practical feasibility. In this study, an adaptive Pogo active suppression controller design method is proposed where measured acceleration is used as feedback. The eigenspace transformation theory is utilized to design two types of dimensional reduced models: an observation-oriented dimensional reduced model (O-ODRM) and a control-oriented dimensional reduced model(C-ODRM). The former works for observer design, and its state variables can be reconstructed by measuring only the acceleration and can be input to the adaptive controller after matrix operations. The latter is employed for adaptive controller design, and it can effectively process the issues of model parameter uncertainty and time-varying parameters. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a certain type of rocket was selected as the research object for simulation analysis. The simulation results show that the proposed method, which uses measured acceleration as feedback, can achieve Pogo active suppression for liquid rockets with uncertain and time-varying parameters. • An active Pogo suppression method based on acceleration feedback considering practical applications has been proposed. • The proposed method effectively solves the problem of difficult controller design for Pogo systems by measuring structural acceleration. • The proposed dimensionality reduction models for observation and control are the basis for controller design. • The proposed method has excellent adaptability to Pogo systems with parameter uncertainty and time-variation. This work addresses the design and implementation of a novel PhotoBiological Filter Classifier (PhBFC) to improve the accuracy of a static sign language translation system. The captured images are preprocessed by a contrast enhancement algorithm inspired by the capacity of retinal photoreceptor cells from mammals, which are responsible for capturing light and transforming it into electric signals that the brain can interpret as images. This sign translation system not only supports the effective communication between an agent and an operator but also between a community with hearing disabilities and other people. Additionally, this technology could be integrated into diverse devices and applications, further broadening its scope, and extending its benefits for the community in general. The bioinspired photoreceptor model is evaluated under different conditions. To validate the advantages of applying photoreceptors cells, 100 tests were conducted per letter to be recognized, on three different models (V1, V2, and V3), obtaining an average of 91.1% of accuracy on V3, compared to 63.4% obtained on V1, and an average of 55.5 Frames Per Second (FPS) in each letter classification iteration for V1, V2, and V3, demonstrating that the use of photoreceptor cells does not affect the processing time while also improving the accuracy. The on-ground validation of control systems designed for manipulators working in orbit is very difficult due to the necessity of simulating the microgravity environment on Earth. In this paper, we present the possibilities of utilising the KUKA KUBE test-bed with industrial robots to experimentally verify space systems using hardware-in-the-loop tests. The fixed-base KUKA industrial robot is operated in gravitational environment, while the space system model plant is solved in real time parallel to on-ground experiment. The test-bed measurements are the input of the model plant, and the output of the model is treated as an input for the industrial robot actuation. In the performed experiment, the control system based on the Dynamic Jacobian is validated. The desired point that is reached by the manipulator's end-effector is constant in the simulated environment and moving with respect to the test-bed frame. The position of the space manipulator's end-effector is calculated by evaluating dynamics of the satellite in real-time model. The results show that the control system applied to the KUKA robot works correctly. The measurements from the torque sensors mounted in KUKA robot's joints are in accordance with the simulation results. This fact enhances the possibilities of gravity compensation, thus simulating microgravity environment on the test-bed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Because of the massive changes experienced within work contexts over the last decades, work design has received renewed attention both from scholars and practitioners interested in carefully balancing job demands with employees' needs, aiming to boost performance. Hence, work design, meant as a strategic human resource management tool to craft job context and content, has been proven to impact on work performance and burnout. However, despite this evidence, the literature clearly explaining the paths through which work design might lead to positive or negative organizational outcomes is still scarce. To address this gap, the present study investigated the contribution of work–family interface aspects (i.e., work–family conflict and work–family enrichment) as mediators in this relationship. The participants were 160 white-collar employees, invited to fill in an online survey encompassing socio-demographical information (e.g., age, gender, education, and professional role) and individual self-report responses on the study variables (i.e., work design, work/family conflict, work/family enrichment, burnout, and work performance). The path analyses were conducted to investigate the direct and indirect relationships among constructs. The results showed that work–family conflict mediated the relationships between some work design characteristics and burnout, whereas work–family enrichment had a mediating role in the paths leading both to burnout and to work performance. Palmyrah (Borassus flabellifer L) fruit pulp is available abundantly and has a high potential for food in rural areas, useful for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications, however, the main hindrance for this pulp is lack of mechanization and availability of pulp in sufficient quantity at one place. The pulp of this fruit is usually used by rural communities where the processors use manual pulping, which is not only time-consuming but yields seasonally during July and August in India. Therefore, the objective of this work was to design, develop and evaluate the efficiency of fruit pulp extractors. The pulper was designed and developed such way that to be compact and easy to operate, consisting of the main housing with stainless steel teeth on a rotating shaft and pulping performed by beating and shearing. The performance evaluation of the machine was carried out at different rpm (320, 360, 410) input capacity (8, 10 and 12 kg) for fixed time of operation is 6 minutes. The pulp weight was evaluated during the pulping process period. The highest pulping efficiency (84.78%) and pulp recovery (33.9%) was obtained rpm of 410, with 6 minutes of pulping, and batch capacity of 10 kg of fruits which resulted in a capacity of 50 kg fruits per hour. This high efficiency makes this mechanized effective for pulping palmyrah fruits and, thus, it can replace manual pulping, especially in rural communities involved with the palmyrah fruit pulping. This article gives an overview of Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory. We outline the basic propositions and highlight new empirical findings and theoretical innovations in relation to the theory. We discuss four major innovations of the past decade, namely (a) the person × situation approach of JD-R, (b) multilevel JD-R theory, (c) new proactive approaches in JD-R theory, and (d) the Work-Home Resources model. After discussing practical implications, we elaborate on opportunities for future research, including JD-R interventions, team-level approaches, and demands and resources from other life domains. Several new acceptance sampling plans using various probability distribution methods have been developed in the literature. However, there is no published work on the design of new sampling plans using trigonometric-based probability distributions. In order to cover this amazing and fascinating research gap, we first introduce a novel probabilistic method called a new modified cosine-G method. A special member of the new modified cosine-G method, namely, a new modified cosine-Weibull distribution, is examined and implemented. The density function of the new model possesses symmetrical as well as asymmetrical behaviors. The usefulness and superior fitting power of the new modified cosine-Weibull distribution are demonstrated by analyzing an asymmetrical data set. Furthermore, based on the new modified cosine-Weibull distribution, we develop a new repetitive acceptance sampling strategy for attributes with specified shape parameters. In this article, the author introduces a new fuzzy control solution to direct active anti-roll bars (hydraulic stabilizer bars) in order to enhance the vehicle's roll stabilization efficiency. The original fuzzy algorithm designed in this work can satisfy all the roll stability, comfort, and response speed requirements, while previous algorithms could only meet one of these criteria. In addition, a fully dynamic model is established to simulate the vehicle's roll oscillations instead of only using a simple half-dynamic model combined with the single-track dynamic model. The calculation and simulation processes take place in the Simulink environment. Two cases of steering are used as input to the simulation problem; the car's speed is gradually increased through three levels. According to results of research, the roll angle and roll index of the car increase as the speed and steering angle increase. The interaction between the road and wheel decreases sharply as the roll angle increases, which can lead to a rollover. In the first case, the rollover occurs only when the car travels at v3 without the stabilizer bar and has a maximum roll angle of 9.81°. In the second case, this occurs for the (None) situation when traveling at speed v1 with a maximum roll angle of 9.52° and for the (Passive) situation when traveling at speed v2 with a peak value of 11.93°. This work designs a powerful new nonlinear control technique using synergetic control (SC), proportional-integral (PI) controller, and genetic algorithm (GA) for multi-rotor wind energy (MRWE) conversion systems, whereby an asynchronous generator (AG) is used to achieve optimal energy extraction. The direct power control (DPC) technique is used based on the proposed SC-PI-GA (SPI-GA) technique to control the AG-based MRWE system, where this new nonlinear control technique is used to achieve stable control characteristics under random changes in wind speed and to provide great robustness against modeling uncertainties. Moreover, the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique is used to control the AG inverter due to its simplicity and ease of implementation. In this proposed DPC-SPI-GA technique, we need to measure current and voltage to estimate the active power and the reactive power. Also, inner loops are not used in this proposed DPC-SPI-GA technique as is the case in the field-oriented control (FOC) technique, where the proposed system in this work is characterized by an integrated structure. A general methodology for modeling and analysis of a single leg walking mechanism of quadruped robot is presented in this paper to solve the problems of more drive elements, more complex structure and control system in existing single-leg walking mechanism. The principle scheme and scale optimization design of proposed walking mechanism are completed according to the requirements of the foot end trajectory curve and Grashof's criterion. The models of kinematics and dynamics of presented mechanism have been built. By numerical calculation, the variations of displacement, the angular velocity and moment of the equivalent crank are discussed. The results indicate that the kinematic and dynamic properties of the optimized mechanism are better than those before optimization. The uneven energy response of radiation detectors severely limits the accuracy of the dose rate meter used for radiation protection. Currently widely used in dose rate meters as a physical method of setting shielding compensation, the energy response correction error of the detector at different energies is mostly between 15 and 25%. This work designs a real-time correction method for energy response based on a novel Cs3Cu2I5:Tl scintillation detector to improve the accuracy of the dose rate meter used for radiation protection. The technique utilizes the idea of pulse amplitude weighting (PAW) to segment the pulse amplitude histogram. This detector achieves an almost constant energy response after our correction. The experimental results show that compared to 137Cs γ rays, the maximum error of the response is 8.26% in the photon energy ranging from 33 keV to 1.25 MeV, which is much better than ±30% of the recommended IEC 61526:2010, verifying the feasibility of PAW. Developing a human bionic manipulator to achieve certain humanoid behavioral skills is a rising problem. Enabling robots to operate the steering wheel to drive the vehicle is a challenging task. To address the problem, this work designs a novel 7-DOF (degree of freedom) humanoid manipulator based on the arm structure of human bionics. The 3-2-2 structural arrangement of the motors and the structural modifications at the wrist allow the manipulator to act more similar to a man. Meanwhile, to manipulate the steering wheel stably and compliantly, an admittance control approach is firstly applied for this case. Considering that the system parameters vary in configuration, we further introduce parameter fuzzification for admittance control. Designed simulations were carried out in Coppeliasim to verify the proposed control approach. As the result shows, the improved method could realize compliant force control under extreme configurations. It demonstrates that the humanoid manipulator can twist the steering wheel stably even in extreme configurations. N,N‐dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is a psychedelic compound that is being studied as a therapeutic option in various psychiatric disorders. Due to its short half‐life, continuous infusion of DMT has been proposed to extend the psychedelic experience and potential therapeutic effects. The primary aim of this work was to design an infusion protocol for DMT based on a desired level of psychedelic intensity using population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling. As a secondary aim, the impact of choosing a continuous variable or a bounded integer pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic model to inform such an infusion protocol was investigated. A previously published continuous variable model and two newly developed bounded integer models were used to assess optimal doses for achieving a target response. Simulations were performed to identify an optimal combination of a bolus dose and an infusion rate. Based on the simulations, optimal doses to achieve intensity ratings between 7 and 9 (possible range = 0–10) were a bolus dose of 16 mg DMT fumarate followed by an infusion rate of 1.4 mg/min based on the continuous variable model and 14 mg with 1.2 mg/min for the two bounded integer models. However, the proportion within target was low (<53%) for all models, indicating that individual dose adjustments would be necessary. Furthermore, some differences between the models were observed. The bounded integer models generally predicted lower proportions within a target of 7–9 with higher proportions exceeding target compared with the continuous variable model. This work presents a design of a power-performance-area optimized MOS current mode logic pre-scaler. The divide-by-3 pre-scaler is realized in TSMC 180 nm technology node. The post-layout simulation results show that the proposed pre-scaler can operate faithfully up to 10.58 GHz operating frequency in the worst speed corner with a maximum power dissipation of 2.86 mW at the worst power corner. The divider occupies 0.115 × 0.128 mm2 area. The overall performance trade-off presents the figure of merit: FoM of 24 dB, which shows a better trade-off when compared with the state of the art. In this paper, we propose a framework to convert American Sign Language (ASL) to English and English to ASL. Within this framework, we use a deep learning model along with the rolling average prediction that captures image frames from videos and classifies the signs from the image frames. The classified frames are then used to construct ASL words and sentences to support people with hearing impairments. We also use the same deep learning model to capture signs from the people with deaf symptoms and convert them into ASL words and English sentences. Based on this framework, we developed a web-based tool to use in real-life application and we also present the tool as a proof of concept. With the evaluation, we found that the deep learning model converts the image signs into ASL words and sentences with high accuracy. The tool was also found to be very useful for people with hearing impairment and deaf symptoms. The main contribution of this work is the design of a system to convert ASL to English and vice versa. Research background: Job crafting based on individual initiative represents a new form of work design, supporting stability in increasing work performance. In many cases, this method proves to be an effective way of increasing employees' work engagement, mainly because of the mediated autonomy in their work performance and the greater meaningfulness that results from it. The basis of job crafting is employee support, which initiates working behavior focused on proactivity in creating and adapting work to the subjective requirements of the employee's individuality. The available literature highlights various approaches that mediate individual topics, with which companies try to stimulate employee behavior, the expected result of which is job crafting, which leads to an increase in work performance. Purpose of the article: The goal of the study is to identify current research directions in the field of job crafting, specifically in relation to increasing work performance. Methods: The Web of Science database was used to identify the main directions of research in the relevant literature. Research was directed at peer-reviewed articles published in journals indexed in SSCI as Q1 and Q2. The resulting number of articles was identified based on the PRISMA selection method. Findings & value added: By analyzing the literary sources, we have identified 4 important research topics that the authors of the scientific articles addressed. The most widespread topic was work engagement and its influence on job crafting. In the second topic, the authors addressed the issue of how job crafting supports the meaningfulness of work. The third research topic that the authors addressed was job crafting as a factor of employee autonomy. The fourth theme identified was the influence of leadership and management support on jobcrafting behavior. The paper offers the reader a systematic and clear list of available quality resources that can help them in their personal research related to job crafting and work performance. A filter structure that can realize 2D circular filters of different bandwidths, which can be controlled by any arbitrary rational values without changing the overall architecture and without having the prior knowledge of the bandwidths to be realized, is the main contribution of this work. Here, a multiplier-less transformation is made use of to obtain the two dimensional (2D) filter from its one dimensional (1D) counterpart. The first stage of the work involves the design of a Farrow structure based variable bandwidth 1D filter. The Farrow filter obtained is of non-linear phase and since the transformation based methods to design the 2D filters can be applied only to the linear phase 1D filter, a fold and average block are employed to convert the 1D Farrow filter into linear phase. Finally, to map the coefficients from 1D to the 2D domain, a multiplier-free P 3 transformation is employed. Thus, by cascading a 1D Farrow filter with a fold and average block and transformation block, different circular filters with a wide range of bandwidths decided by tuning a single parameter in the 1D domain are obtained. Hence, the complexity of implementation of this proposed arbitrarily variable circular filter involves only the complexity of realizing a 1D Farrow filter, a fold and average block and the transformation block. The fine adjustability in bandwidths and the performance parameters of the 2D filters resulting from the proposed architecture are illustrated with the help of variable low-pass and band-pass circular filters. Recently, with the development of deep‐learning, the performance of multiple object tracking (MOT) algorithm based on deep neural networks has been greatly improved. However, it is still a difficult problem to successfully solve the tracking misalignment caused by occlusion and complex tracking scenes. Most of the work focusses on designing a sophisticated network, only little work focusses on data association. Actually, data association is very helpful in MOT. In this study, data association in tracking is taken as the main research task, and the authors introduce quadratic graph matching into MOT. Considering the objects in each frame as a graph, we can model the data association between two frames as a quadratic graph matching problem. And then it is transformed into a convex quadratic optimisation problem. Introducing high‐order structure features into the matching function effectively solves some tracking problems. The data association is designed into the tracking model as an overall solution. Experiments show that the proposed data association algorithm performs favourably against several state‐of‐the‐art data association methods and can be used in any tracking‐by‐detection method. Cyberattacks are increasing in number and diversity in nature daily, and the tendency for them is to escalate dramatically in the forseeable future, with critical infrastructures (CI) assets and networks not being an exception to this trend. As time goes by, cyberattacks are more complex than before and unknown until they spawn, being very difficult to detect and remediate. To be reactive against those cyberattacks, usually defined as zero-day attacks, cyber-security specialists known as threat hunters must be in organizations' security departments. All the data generated by the organization's users must be processed by those threat hunters (which are mainly benign and repetitive and follow predictable patterns) in short periods to detect unusual behaviors. The application of artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning (ML) techniques (for instance NLP, C-RNN-GAN, or GNN), can remarkably impact the real-time analysis of those data and help to discriminate between harmless data and malicious data, but not every technique is helpful in every circumstance; as a consequence, those specialists must know which techniques fit the best at every specific moment. Among the most difficult difficulties in contemporary satellite image-processing subjects is cloud and cloud shade segmentation. Due to substantial background noise interference, existing cloud and cloud shadow segmentation techniques would result in false detection and missing detection. We propose a Location Pooling Multi-Scale Network (LPMSNet) in this study. The residual network is utilised as the backbone in this method to acquire semantic info on various levels. Simultaneously, the Location Attention Multi-Scale Aggregation Module (LAMA) is introduced to obtain the image's multi-scale info. The Channel Spatial Attention Module (CSA) is introduced to boost the network's focus on segmentation goals. Finally, in view of the problem that the edge details of cloud as well as cloud shade are easily lost, this work designs the Scale Fusion Restoration Module (SFR). SFR can perform picture upsampling as well as the acquisition of edge detail information from cloud as well as cloud shade. The mean intersection over union (MIoU) accuracy of this network reached 94.36% and 81.60% on the Cloud and Cloud Shadow Dataset and the five-category dataset L8SPARCS, respectively. Dielectric capacitors as energy storage electronics have drawn much attention due to ultrahigh power densities with quick charging and discharging rates. In this report, A-site Nd-doped (1- x)BiFeO 3 - x BaTiO 3 (x = 0.2–0.45) relaxor ferroelectric ceramics with superior storage efficiencies were prepared with 0.1 wt% MnO 2 additive. Energy-storage efficiency (η) increases from 63.7% to 89% at 190 kV/cm as BaTiO 3 increases accompanied by recoverable energy densities (W rec) in the range of 2.5–2.7 J/cm3. The energy-storage performance persists thermally stable up to 125 °C. The superior storage efficiency is associated with growth of the cubic Pm -3 m symmetry and the core-shell structure with increasing BaTiO 3 content. The formation of nanocluster/nanomosaic structure also plays an essential role as a barrier in suppressing the long-range polarization order. A novel approach is proposed to suppress bounded exogenous disturbances in linear control systems using a PI controller. The approach is based on reducing the original problem to a nonconvex matrix optimization problem. A gradient method for finding the controller's parameters is derived and its justification is provided. The corresponding recurrence procedure is rather effective and yields quite satisfactory controllers in terms of engineering performance criteria. Given the complexity of teams involved in creating AI-based systems, how can we understand who should be held accountable when they fail? This paper reports findings about accountable AI from 26 interviews conducted with stakeholders in AI drawn from the fields of AI research, law, and policy. Participants described the challenges presented by the distributed nature of how AI systems are designed, developed, deployed, and regulated. This distribution of agency, alongside existing mechanisms of accountability, responsibility, and liability, creates barriers for effective accountable design. As agency is distributed across the socio-technical landscape of an AI system, users without deep knowledge of the operation of these systems become disempowered, unable to challenge or contest when it impacts their lives. In this context, accountability becomes a matter of building systems that can be challenged, interrogated, and, most importantly, adjusted in use to accommodate counter-intuitive results and unpredictable impacts. Small porous Cu-SSZ-13 catalysts have recently been commercialized for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with ammonia (NH3-SCR) on diesel vehicles. Unfortunately, the conventional Cu-SSZ-13 catalyst still confronts the challenge of diffusion limitations, which represent a major obstacle that reduces the catalyst's SCR performance. Herein, a hierarchically porous SSZ-13 zeolite was synthesized via a trans-crystallization method assisted by the use of carbon black as a hard template in a short synthetic period, and the corresponding Cu-SSZ-13 catalysts with mesopores exhibited improved low-temperature activity and hydrothermal stability when compared with their microporous counterpart. A series of characterizations revealed that the mesopores are conducive to an increase in Cu loading while helping to stabilize the CHA structure and maintain the Cu species in their ionic form. More importantly, intra-particle diffusion limitations are reduced via the introduction of the mesopores owing to the shortened diffusion path inside the SSZ-13 zeolite, thus not only enhancing the active sites' accessibility but also promoting the diffusion of the reactants and products. Designing of phosphors with multi-emission peaks that show incongruent response to temperature is crucial to design high-efficiency optic fluorescence temperature sensors. Herein, Mn4+ and Dy3+ were co-doped into host lattice Ca 2 InSbO 6 (CIS) with bimodal emissions for fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR) thermometry. The Dy3+-luminescence is insensitive to temperature for its 4f→4f transitions whereas the Mn4+-luminescence is sensitive for its outer 3d→3d transitions. This feature causes almost unchanged intensity of Dy3+-luminescence with increasing temperature and fast decay of Mn4+-luminescence. Utilized the inconsistent temperature dependency of phosphor CIS:Mn4+/Dy3+, highly absolute sensitivity (S a) of 9.10% K−1 at 573 K and relative sensitivity (S r) of 2.16% K−1 at 498 K are realized. Additionally, the fluorescence lifetime of Mn4+ is also sensitive to the temperature with S a of 0.17% K−1 at 348 K and S r of 1.890 %K−1 at 423 K. This work gives a design idea for researchers in optic temperature sensor field that a phosphor with double activated ions of Dy3+ and Mn4+ is a good choice. Mn4+ and Dy3+ were co-doped into host lattice Ca 2 InSbO 6 with a bimodal emitting and a huge variation of Mn4+ lifetime for high sensitivity luminescent thermometry.
