In addition, both down-regulation of SNHG1 and up-regulation of miR-140-5p significantly inhibited the malignant proliferation and invasion of glioma, intensified the apoptosis, and also significantly suppressed the activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway. The dual-luciferase reporter assay, RNA pull-down assay, and RIP determination all confirmed that there was a targeting relationship between SNHG1 and miR-140-5p, and there was no difference between KNS-81 and KALS-1 cells transfected with SNHG1+mimics and si-SNHG1+inhibitor and those in the si-NC group with unrelated sequences in terms of cell malignant progression.Conclusion: SNHG1/miR-140-5p axis and its regulation on PI3K/AKT pathway might be a novel therapeutic direction to curb the malignant progression of glioma.Keywords: SNHG1, glioma, miR-140-5p, PI3K/AKT pathway

Large-scale quantum networks rely on quantum repeaters that distribute entanglement efficiently in a multi-mode and heralded fashion over multiple network nodes. Next to optical quantum memories, most quantum repeater architectures also require multiplexed sources of entangled photon pairs, as well as photon detection that can distinguish between the multiplexed modes. We demonstrate the generation and characterization of frequency multiplexed photon pairs by employing cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a nonlinear crystal and a virtually-imaged phase array that allows mapping of spectral modes onto distinct spatial modes. Through coincidence measurements, we demonstrate non-classical correlations between energy-correlated photon pairs and a strong reduction of correlations between the non-correlated photons. Our investigation demonstrates that both our photon-pair source and the detection setup are suitable for creating a frequency multiplexed quantum repeater., Comment: 16 pages, 14 figures (including supplementary information)

Additional file 1. Minimum Standards of Reporting Checklist.

A 56-year-old woman had fell over herself 4 h prior to her presentation to our hospital. The diagnosis was a subtrochanteric fracture of the right femur (AO-32-A3). The patient was placed in a supine position was set up on a fracture traction table after general anesthesia. The right leg was placed in abduction while the left leg was positioned so that there was flexion of the knee and hip joint. The C-arm was placed on the left side. The surgical field was sterilized and draped. Deformity and external rotation are always present for this type of fracture, so the first step was to place a joystick in the proximal fragment to correct the external rotation. Then the perfect entry point could be defined by K wire. After inserting guide wire into the canal dreaming was followed. An appropriate nail was selected and inserted. The distal tip of the nail should be located in the cancellous bone. Before inserting the proximal lag screws into the femoral head, the external rotation of the proximal fragment must be corrected by the joystick. The traction was loosened and the distal fragment was pushed towards the proximal side so that the gap between the fragments disappeared. The affected leg was maintained in perfect alignment. Meanwhile, the distal locking screws were inserted using the free hand perfect circle technique.
