Abstract

Grid-forming （GFM） converters， known for their superior inertia damping characteristics， have emerged as a center research focus in the renewable energy sector. As a result， the damping characteristics of GFM wind power converters are first examined. The analysis centers on their equivalent external characteristics from an impedance standpoint， and the Bode stability criterion is utilized to study their stability during grid connection. Subsequently， the frequency support characteristics of GFM wind power converters are examined in terms of inertia. A comparative investigation is undertaken via simulation analysis to gauge the supportive capability of GFM and grid-following （GFL） wind power converters during alterations in grid frequency and power fluctuation on the wind turbine side. The findings reveal that the external impedance characteristics of GFM wind power converters not only display inductive properties but also maintain commendable stability throughout grid integration. In response to a grid malfunction， GFM wind power converters can furnish a significant measure of power support， equating to a rise in system inertia， thereby indicating favorable grid integration characteristics.

The observation group adopted the multimodal health education combined with the feedback method, and the control group adopted the conventional health education model. The postoperative extubation time, length of hospital stay, time to first leaving the bed, postoperative exercise compliance, emotional-distress index and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results: The postoperative extubation time (2.80 ± 1.03 days), the emotional-distress index (8.26 ± 3.01) and the time to first leaving the bed (23.74 ± 11.87 h) were all lower in the observation group than in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The postoperative exercise compliance (49.69 ± 3.60) and patient satisfaction (98.32 ± 1.66) values were higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05).Conclusion: Multimodal health education combined with the feedback method can improve the postoperative exercise compliance of lung cancer patients, reduce their postoperative rehabilitation time and improve their postoperative psychological state and satisfaction, which is in line with the concept of promoting the enhanced recovery of lung cancer patients.Keywords: lung cancer, enhanced recovery after surgery, feedback method, multimodal health education

Abstract

Refined-JQ (JQ-R) is a mixture of refined extracts from Coptis chinensis (Ranunculaceae), Astragalus membranaceus (Leguminosae) and Lonicera japonica (Caprifoliaceae), the three major herbs of JinQi-JiangTang tablet, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula. The mechanisms by which JQ-R regulates glucose metabolism and improves insulin sensitivity were studied in type 2 diabetic KK Ay mice and insulin-resistant L6 myotubes. To investigate the mechanisms by which JQ-R improves insulin sensitivity, a model of insulin-resistant cells induced with palmitic acid (PA) was established in L6 myotubes. Glucose uptake and expression of factors involved in insulin signaling, stress, and inflammatory pathways were detected by immunoblotting. JQ-R showed beneficial effects on glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance in a euglycemic clamp experiment and decreased fasting insulin levels in diabetic KK Ay mice. JQ-R also improved the plasma lipid profiles. JQ-R directly increased the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) as well as inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) levels in insulin-resistant L6 cells, and elevated the insulin-stimulated glucose uptake with upregulated phosphorylation of AKT. The phosphorylation levels of nuclear factor kappa B (NF- κ B p65), inhibitor of NF- κ B (I κ B α ), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK1/2) and extracellular-signal-regulated kinases (ERK1/2) were also changed after JQ-R treatment compared with the control group. Together these findings suggest that JQ-R improved glucose and lipid metabolism in diabetic KK Ay mice. JQ-R directly enhanced insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in insulin-resistant myotubes with improved insulin signalling and inflammatory response and oxidative stress. Abstract

Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanostructures have been grown by electrochemical deposition on the indium-tin oxide (ITO) substrates. The influences and mechanism of pre-treatment of ITO on the morphology, density and size of ZnO nanostructures have been studied. Hexagonal dumbbell-like shape of ZnO bipods have been obtained because of the absence of nucleation sites on the unetched ITO substrate. An ITO etching process in dilute HCl results in the instantaneous and high density nucleation process, which was introduced to reduce the system energy and increase the growth density of ZnO nanostructures. Therefore, well-defined hexagonal and dense ZnO nanorods array are deposited on the etched ITO surface. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
