Mobile shopping (m-shopping) adoption has been significantly touted in the contemporary era; however, the adoption of m-shopping is still under shadow in many developing countries. The aim of this study is to discover the impact of device system quality on m-shopping adoption among university students with the support of UTAUT and UTAUT2 theories. The study employed PLS-SEM (symmetric) and fsQCA (asymmetric) analysis simultaneously using survey data from 530 respondents who are primarily university students. PLS-SEM results found positive significant relation between device system quality and m-shopping adoption. The study contributes with an extension of earlier studies that combine PLS-SEM (symmetric methods) and fsQCA (asymmetric methods). The study is limited among the university students that may affect the generalizability of the study. The casual recipes in this research aid policymakers to achieve their strategic objectives in implementing positive m-shopping behavior among the university students.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of male hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection on male fertility, embryonic development, and in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) outcomes. We performed a retrospective cohort study that included 3965 infertile couples who received fresh embryo transfer cycles for the first time at the Fujian Maternity and Child Health Hospital (Fuzhou, China) from January 2018 to January 2021. Infertile couples were categorized based on their HBV infection status into the HBV group (HBV-positive men and HBV-negative women) and the control group (HBV-negative couples). A 1:1 propensity score matching was performed with relatively balanced covariates. Baseline characteristics, semen parameters, laboratory outcomes, clinical outcomes, and obstetric and neonatal outcomes were compared between groups. After propensity score matching, 821 couples were included in each group. Both groups had similar semen parameters and obstetric and neonatal outcomes. The HBV group showed a significantly lower live birth rate than the control group (P < 0.05). The HBV group had a significantly higher abortion rate than the control group (P < 0.05). The rates of high-quality embryos and blastocyst formation were significantly lower in the HBV group than those in the control group (both P < 0.05). In conclusion, in couples who undergo IVF/ICSI, male HBV infection reduces the live birth rate and increases the risk of miscarriage. However, the incidence of low birth weight in women with IVF/ICSI does not increase with male HBV infection.

The effects of dry-salted and salt-fermented processing on the physicochemical characteristics and microbial communities of Yacai were systematically investigated. The results showed that the contents of total acid, amino acid nitrogen (AAN) and nitrite in the final products of dry-salted Yacai were greater than those in salt-fermented Yacai. Lactic acid was the dominant organic acid in the two types of Yacai. Dry-salted processing is more conducive to forming a high-quality reddish-brown color. During whole pickling process, the microbial diversity of dry-salted Yacai was higher than that of salt-fermented Yacai, particularly in the early and middle stages of fermentation. For dry-salted Yacai, 8 bacteria (Natribacillus, Chromohalobacter, Marinococcus, Lentibacillus, Nesterenkonia, Gracilibacillus, Oceanobacillus and Tetragenococcus) and 1 fungus (Zygosaccharomyces) showed a significant positive correlation with AAN. For salt-fermented Yacai, 8 bacteria (Gracilibacillus, Alkalibacillus, Oceanobacillus, Virgibacillus, Lentibacillus, Salibacterium, Chromohalobacter and Tetragenococcus) and 3 fungi (Zygosaccharomyces, Millerozyma, and Wickerhamomyces) exhibited significant positive correlations with AAN.

Neutron detection is an important technology in the field of nuclear energy development and is involved in many research and application areas, such as particle physics, material science, cosmic ray detection and even environmental monitoring, oil well detection and nuclear medicine, etc. Since neutron scintillator detectors often respond to both neutron and γ-ray, effective discrimination between neutron and γ-ray is a prerequisite for high-precision neutron detection. In order to further explore way to enhance the performance of n/γ discrimination, this paper combined the pulse shape discrimination (PSD) technique and the Gramian angular field (GAF) image transformation method, and applied the convolutional neural network (CNN) classification model to the n/γ discrimination work. The 239Pu-Be neutron source and the Cs2LiYCl6:Ce3+ (CLYC) detector were used to set up an experimental platform for the n/γ hybrid radiation field, and 20 000 original pulsed one-dimensional sequence samples were acquired through the Tektronix model DPO4034 oscilloscope. In the experiment, the charge comparison method was adopted to discriminate the original samples, and the discrimination results can be used to produce the labels of the dataset used in the GAF-CNN method and for the final comparison of the discriminative performance of the various methods. Due to the excellent performance of the CLYC detector, the discrimination effect of the charge comparison method is good, which ensures that the labeling of the dataset can be produced with high accuracy, and after the best performance of the charge comparison method has been achieved through the optimization of the window, the gap between the upper limit of the performance of the traditional method and the neural network method can be clearly found. The GAF-CNN discrimination method transformed the n/γ pulse data into a two-dimensional image through the GAF, after which the image was fed into the CNN classification model for sample discrimination, which transformed the n/γ discrimination problem into a simple image binary classification problem. Since the nuclear pulse signal is a typical time series, the use of GAF can retain the time domain features of the nuclear pulse in a more complete way, and the convolution operation of the CNN can utilize the frequency domain features, so the GAF-CNN is a kind of discrimination method that can utilize the time-frequency features at the same time. In order to verify the accuracy of GAF-CNN discrimination, the discrimination effect was compared with the traditional CNN discrimination method and the charge comparison method, where the traditional CNN discrimination method refers to the method of simply collapsing the pulsed one-dimensional sample sequences into a two-dimensional matrix and inputting it to the CNN for sample identification. The results show that the GAF-CNN discrimination method has a lower discrimination error rate and shorter processing time, and the figure of merit (FOM) of n/γ discrimination has an order of magnitude improvement. Meanwhile, it has the characteristics of network lightweight, which helps to realize the embedded deployment of convolutional neural network PSD algorithm, and provides a feasible PSD technology solution for the development of high-performance n/γ composite detection spectrometer.

Abstract Background Odorant-binding proteins (OBPs) are essential in insect’s daily behaviors mediated by olfactory perception. Megachile saussurei Radoszkowski (Hymenoptera, Megachilidae) is a principal insect pollinating alfalfa (Medicago sativa) in Northwestern China. The olfactory function have been less conducted, which provides a lot of possibilities for our research. Results Our results showed that 20 OBPs were identified in total. Multiple sequence alignment analysis indicated MsauOBPs were highly conserved with a 6-cysteine motif pattern and all belonged to the classic subfamily, coding 113-196 amino acids and sharing 41.32%-99.12% amino acid identity with known OBPs of other bees. Phylogenetic analysis indicated there were certain homologies existed among MsauOBPs and most sequences were clustered with that of Osmia cornuta (Hymenoptera, Megachilidae). Expression analysis showed the identified OBPs were mostly enriched in antennae instead of other four body parts, especially the MsauOBP2, MsauOBP3, MsauOBP4, MsauOBP8, MsauOBP11 and MsauOBP17, in which the MsauOBP2, MsauOBP4 and MsauOBP8 presented obvious tissue-biased expression pattern. Molecular docking results indicated MsauOBP4 might be the most significant protein in recognizing alfalfa flower volatile 3-Octanone, while MsauOBP13 might be the most crucial protein identifying (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate. It was also found the lysine was a momentous hydrophilic amino acid in docking simulations. Conclusion In this study, we identified and analyzed 20 OBPs of M. saussurei. The certain homology existed among these OBPs, while some degree of divergence could also be noticed, indicating the complex functions that different MsauOBPs performed. Besides, the M. saussurei and Osmia cornuta were very likely to share similar physiological functions as most of their OBPs were clustered together. MsauOBP4 might be the key protein in recognizing 3-Octanone, while MsauOBP13 might be the key protein in binding (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate. These two proteins might contribute to the alfalfa-locating during the pollination process. The relevant results may help determine the highly specific and effective attractants for M. saussurei in alfalfa pollination and reveal the molecular mechanism of odor-evoked pollinating behavior between these two species.

AbstractContext Semen cuscutae is commonly used to treat male infertility (MI), and semen cuscutae flavonoid (SCF) is the main active component of semen cuscutae. The therapeutic mechanism of SCF on MI is still unclear.Objective To clarify the mechanisms of SCF against MI.Materials and methods Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict the potential pathways of SCF against MI. Primary Sertoli cells (SCs) were extracted from testis of 60-day-old rats and divided into Control, Model, and 3 treatment groups. The Control and Model groups were given normal medium, the treatment groups were treated with various concentrations of SCF-containing medium (200, 400, and 800 μg/mL). After 24 h, the Model and treatment groups were exposed to heat stress at 43 °C for 15 min. Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the expression of targets.Result Network pharmacology indicated that the treatment of SCF on MI was closely related to PI3K-AKT signaling pathway. The in vitro experiments showed that SCF could up-regulated the expression of AKT, AR, occludin, and Ki67, and down-regulated the expression of CK-18 in SCs after heat stress. The AKT inhibitor could block this process.Conclusions SCF can treat MI by regulating the proliferation and differentiation of SCs and the integrity of the blood-testis barrier. The study could provide experimental basis for clinical research.

Involving in the immune response after cerebral infarction, astrocytes could secrete large amounts of pro- and anti-inflammatory factors. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Wnt3a intervention on the inflammatory response of oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) followed by reoxygenation (OGD/R) astrocyte model, and to provide a new target for immunoprotective treatment of cerebral infarction. We constructed the OGD/R rat astrocyte model, the astrocytes were treated by different concentrations of glucose (25, 50, 100 mM) intervened with/without Wnt3a (25 µg/ml). Microscope was used to observe the cell survival in rat astrocytes. The relative expression of inflammatory factors (TNF-a, IL-6, HIF-a) in rat astrocytes was detected by qRT-PCR. The expression of inflammatory factors such as TNF-a, IL-6 and HIF-a in rat astrocytes was increased after OGD/R treatment. The Wnt3a intervention promoted cell survival and decreased the expression of inflammatory factors in rat astrocytes induced by OGD/R. There is a neuroprotective effect that Wnt3a intervention could reduce inflammatory response in the OGD/R rat astrocyte model.

Diorhabda rybakowi Weise is one of the dominant pests feeding on Nitraria spp., a pioneer plant used for windbreaking and sand fixation purposes, and poses a threat to local livestock and ecosystems. To clarify the key olfactory genes of D. rybakowi and provide a theoretical basis for attractant and repellent development, the optimal reference genes under two different conditions (tissue and sex) were identified, and the bioinformatics and characterization of the tissue expression profiles of two categories of soluble olfactory proteins (OBPs and CSPs) were investigated. The results showed that the best reference genes were RPL13a and RPS18 for comparison among tissues, and RPL19 and RPS18 for comparison between sexes. Strong expressions of DrybOBP3, DrybOBP6, DrybOBP7, DrybOBP10, DrybOBP11, DrybCSP2, and DrybCSP5 were found in antennae, the most important olfactory organ for D. rybakowi. These findings not only provide a basis for further in-depth research on the olfactory molecular mechanisms of host-specialized pests but also provide a theoretical basis for the future development of new chemical attractants or repellents using volatiles to control D. rybakowi.
