[ES] El área de trabajo del presente proyecto se ubica en el barrio de Morvedre, Valencia. Este barrio se encuentra caracterizado por la presencia de numerosos vacíos urbanos que corresponden con tramas históricas que no fueron completamente borradas tras la creación del ensanche, y que sin embargo quedan desconectadas del resto del barrio y de la ciudad, sufriendo un proceso de deterioro continuo. El proyecto pretende promover la regeneración urbana del entorno mencionado, a través de la creación de un centro social que sirva de punto de conexión de los vacíos urbanos, y así como del resto del barrio, favoreciendo que las circulaciones se dirijan hacia el mismo. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se parte de la referencia del ¿Centro Macormick¿ de Rem Koolhaas, un ¿mat-building¿ ubicado en la zona central del campus de Chicago, en el cual se establecen una serie de circulaciones interiores y accesos, dirigidos hacia multitud de edificios de importancia, situados alrededor del mismo. Del mismo modo, seleccionamos una serie de lugares de interés ubicados en torno a nuestro solar de actuación, y planteamos la creación de un edificio basado en el Centro Macormick, pero al cual se le aplica un proceso de sustracción volumétrica, dando como resultado final un edificio que crece en superficie al igual que la referencia, pero con forma de X. La geometría con forma de X tiene su razón de ser al pretender resolver alguno de los problemas presentes en el edifico de Rem Koolhaas, ya que al ser este último un edificio que crece mucho en superficie, y al ser su geometría primordialmente rectangular, se dificulta la entrada de luz natural a algunos de sus espacios interiores de una forma sencilla y directa. La geometría en X en cambio, permite la entrada de luz natural con facilidad, así como la captación de circulación de personas dirigidas desde el perímetro de nuestro solar hacia el centro del mismo, en el cual se ubica una zona exterior, diáfana y cubierta, que hará las veces de zona común y área para la socialización. El resto del programa socio cultural, áreas administrativas y de servicios, se sitúa por tanto en los extremos de las cuatro aspas de la X, y se tratará en este caso de cuatro espacios ahora ya sí, cerrados herméticamente. La propia geometría del edificio, creará también cuatro espacios exteriores ubicados entre las cuatro aspas, y orientado cada uno de ellos hacia una orientación principal, lo que creará una flexibilidad de uso por parte de los usuarios, en función de la hora o la época del año, ya sea buscando o rehuyendo la luz solar. Estos cuatro espacios exteriores quedan relacionados entre sí por la ya mencionada zona central también exterior pero en éste caso, bajo la cubierta de nuestro edificio., [EN] The working area of this project is located in the district of Morvedre, Valencia. This neighbourhood is characterised by the presence of numerous urban voids that correspond to historical plots that were not completely erased after the creation of the urban expansion, but which nevertheless remain disconnected from the rest of the neighbourhood and the city, suffering a process of continuous deterioration. The project aims to promote the urban regeneration of the aforementioned environment through the creation of a social centre that will serve as a connection point for the urban voids, as well as for the rest of the neighbourhood, encouraging circulation to be directed towards it. To achieve this objective, the starting point is Rem Koolhaas's "Macormick Center", a "mat-building" located in the central area of the Chicago campus, in which a series of interior circulations and accesses are established, directed towards a multitude of important buildings located around it. In the same way, we selected a series of places of interest located around our site, and we proposed the creation of a building based on the Macormick Centre, but to which we applied a process of volumetric subtraction, resulting in a building that grows in surface area just like the reference, but in the shape of an X. The X-shaped geometry has its raison d'être in trying to solve some of the problems present in Rem Koolhaas's building, as the latter is a building that grows a lot in surface area, and as its geometry is primarily rectangular, it makes it difficult for natural light to enter to some of its interior spaces in a simple and direct way. The X-shaped geometry, on the other hand, allows natural light to enter easily, as well as capturing the circulation of people directed from the perimeter of our site towards the centre of it, in which an exterior, open-plan and covered area is located, which will act as a common area and an area for socialising. The rest of the socio-cultural programme, administrative and service areas, are therefore located at the end of the four blades of the X, and in this case they will be four hermetically sealed spaces. The geometry of the building itself will also create four outdoor spaces located between the four blades, each one of them oriented towards a main orientation, which will create a flexibility of use by the users, depending on the time of day or the time of year, either seeking or avoiding sunlight. These four outdoor spaces are linked to each other by the aforementioned central outdoor area, but in this case, under the roof of our building.

İnsan hem eğitilebilen hem de eğiten bir varlık olması açısından diğer varlıklardan ayrılır. Eğitim insanların yaşamlarında çok önemli bir yer kaplamaktadır. Bu sebeple felsefe tarihi boyunca filozoflar bu konu üzerinde kafa yormuşlardır. Eğitim kavramı her bir filozofta eğitim kavramını, birbirinden etkilenerek ama farklı bir şekilde ele almışlardır. Bu çalışmada Senaca’nın eğitim anlayışı ele alınacaktır. Roma döneminin eğitim düşüncesi Stoa filozoflarının felsefelerinde ortaya çıkmaktadır. Üç dönemden oluşan Stoa da, özellikle son dönem Stoa’sı olan İmparatorluk Stoa’sında eğitim anlayışı daha belirgin bir halde ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu dönem düşünürleri eğitim hakkında çok fazla görüş ortaya koymuşlardır. Ancak bu görüşler içinde direk olarak eğitimle ilgili kaynaklar çok azdır. Stoa’nın son dönem düşünürlerinden olan Senca’nın Ahlak Mektupları eserinde kısmen de olsa, insanların nasıl erdemli bir birey olarak yetiştirileceğine dair öneriler yer almaktadır. Bu çalışma Seneca’nın felsefesi ışığında, eğitim anlayışını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Ortaya çıkacak sonuçların günümüz eğitim sistemleri için uygun olup olmayacağı da ele alınacaktır.

For the Stoics, logic is a guide that protects the mind from wrong inferences, contains all the virtues and makes people virtuous. Therefore, the Stoics thought that learning logic is compulsory in order to make right decisions, avoid wrong reasoning, and be virtuous. For them, logic is a tool that gives us the ability to distinguish right from wrong. Epictetus, whose thoughts on logic will be discussed in this paper, is one of the late Stoic philosophers. According to him, the universe is good; evil comes from our judgements about things. So, if our judgements about things are true, those judgements make us good, and therefore happy. At this point, for Epictetus, logic also has ethical value as a means of distinguishing good from evil.Epictetus sees logic as a requirement to use language properly. For him, happiness is living in accordance with nature, that is, reason. The secret of living in harmony with nature is to use your own mind, to know yourself through the awareness of your own consciousness, to strive for what you have and surrender to what you do not have. Because that's what makes reasonable. According to him, the body may be a slave, but the thought is free. Therefore, logic is seen as the ability to improve our self-awareness and emancipate our will. In this respect, the aim of this study is to investigate the nature of logic by discussing the problem of the place of logic in the philosophy of Epictetus., Stoacılar için mantık, zihni yanlış çıkarımlardan koruyan, diğer bütün erdemleri içine alan ve insanı erdemli kılan bir rehberdir. Dolayısıyla Stoacılar mantık öğrenmenin doğru kararlar vermek, yanlış akıl yürütmeden kaçınmak ve erdemli olmak için zorunlu olduğunu düşünmüşlerdir. Onlar için mantık, doğruyu yanlıştan ayırt etme yeteneği kazandıran bir araçtır. Mantık üzerine düşüncelerini bu çalışmada ele alacak olduğumuz Epiktetos da son dönem Stoacı filozoflardandır. Ona göre evren, kendi başına iyilikle örülüdür; kötülük, bizim şeylere ilişkin yargılarımızdadır. Öyleyse, eğer şeyler üzerindeki yargılarımız doğru ise, bu yargılarımız bizi iyi, dolayısıyla da mutlu kılacaktır. Bu itibarla bu çalışmanın amacı, Epiktetos felsefesinde mantığın yeri problemine bir çözüm arayışı; mantığın neliği ve gerekliliği üzerine bir araştırmadır.

Rather than reading Shaftesbury in anticipation of later forms of disinterestedness, this essay seeks to unpack the larger significance of his aesthetics by tracing his ideas back to their ancient sources. This essay looks to the venerable tradition of world contemplation. It argues that Shaftesbury advances a specifically Stoic model of world contemplation in The Moralists. The text’s principal concern is not with this or that beautiful object but with the whole of which it and the viewer are indivisibly a part; its aim is not so much to account for how we perceive beauty as to foster a characteristically Stoic orientation toward the world, one in which we overcome our egocentric view of things and align ourselves with the natural workings of the world or universe in its entirety. Far from being ‘autonomous’ from the rest of life, the Stoic world contemplation Shaftesbury advocates entails a robust affirmation of existence, clear-eyed gratitude for being part of the universe, whatever the challenges and however fleeting our time in it may be.

This paper discusses the use of the word γλίσχρος (‘sticky’), which Platonists use to disqualify certain, mostly Stoic, etymologies. I argue that the expression derives from Plato Crat. 435c, a passage in which Socrates sets out a theory of word formation that informs Stoic etymologies. I furthermore suggest that when Neoplatonists use γλίσχρος to reject certain interpretations of Plato’s texts as misguided, this is because these interpretations are reminiscent of Stoic exegetical practices.

Çalışmanın amacı, Stoa felsefesinin birey bakımından ele aldığı özgürlük anlayışı ile küresel nitelikteki devlet ve hukuk anlayışının sınırlarını tespit etmek ve birbirinden bağımsız gözüken bu iki anlayışın arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırma literatür taraması biçiminde yapılmıştır. Literatürde Stoa felsefesinin doğduğu Hellenistik uygarlıktan Roma İmparatorluğuna kadar yapılmış çalışmalar incelenmiş ve çalışma konusunu oluşturan ilişkiye dair düşünceler derlenmiştir. Derlenen düşüncelerden Stoa felsefesinin irade özgürlüğü kavramına determinist bir açıdan yaklaşmasının hukuk düşüncelerine olan nihai etkisi çıkarılmış ve sunulmuştur. The purpose of this study is to clarify and show the thin correlation between Stoic freedom wich is reviewed under a very personal approach and Stoic conception of universal law and state. This study followed the method of examining the literature of Stoic philosophy from Hellenistic Stoa to Roman Stoa. With that examination, this study gathered all kinds of intellectual material about the conceptions about freedom, law and state for Stoics. Under these conceptions, this study examined the deterministic approach to freedom of will by Stoic philosophers, from the perspective of Stoic philosophy of law.

Bu çalışma Seneca’nın özgürlük kavramına dair fikirlerini, Antik Yunan ve Roma felsefesi temelinde incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu inceleme yapılırken, öncelikle Antik Yunan Uygarlığının özgür yurttaş ve köle ayrımındaki toplum yapısı, beraberinde ise Roma’nın politik ve kültürel yapısı ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın ilk kısmının odağında, Antik Yunan’ın söz konusu politik ve kültürel yapısı Platon ve Aristoteles’in özgürlük anlayışlarından yola çıkarak açıklanırken akabinde, Roma toplumunun özgürlük anlayışı Stoa felsefesinin önderliğinde incelenmiştir. Böylelikle Seneca’nın, Stoa öğretisinde hakim olan determinizm çizgisinde özgürlüğe nasıl alan açtığı araştırılmış ve belirlenen bu özgürlüğün günümüz dünyasındaki yerinin imkânı değerlendirilirmiştir. This study aims to examine Seneca's ideas on the concept of freedom on the basis of ancient Greek and Roman philosophy. In this study, first of all, the social structure of Ancient Greek Civilization in the distinction of free citizen and slaves and the political and cultural structure of Rome are examined. In this context, in the focus of the first part of the research, while the political and cultural structure of Ancient Greece is explained from the understanding of freedom of Plato and Aristotle, the understanding of freedom of Roman society was examined under the leadership of Stoa philosophy. Thus, how Seneca opened the space for freedom along the line of determinism prevailing in the doctrine of Stoa was investigated and the possibility of the place of this freedom in today's world was evaluated.

The assertion of strict determinism was considered as to be a crucial part of the Stoic doctrine. Most other philosophical schools of the ancient world ridiculed or attacked it, whereas the Stoics consistently defended it. Nonetheless Seneca, the most eminent Roman Stoic, never presented a systematic description of what he thought fatum to be. The article offers a selection of the philosopher’s most important remarks about fate in a number of single works (Naturales Quaestiones, De providentia, De vita beata, Consolatio ad Helviam, Epistulae morales, Epigrams, Tragedies) placing them in the respective line of argument and considering their scope. It can be shown that behind these selective remarks there exists a highly consistent doctrine of fatum in perfect accordance with the Stoic mainstream. However, Seneca does not deal anywhere with the weak points of the concept, but introduces it almost everywhere as a self-evident basis for his reasoning. His primary interest lies in the psychological problems with acceptance of fatum and in the practical handling of its apparent lack of transparency and predictability. Die Annahme eines strengen Determinismus gilt als ein unverwechselbares Kernstück der stoischen Lehre, das von anderen philosophischen Schulen der Antike gerne ironisiert und attackiert, von den Stoikern konsequent verteidigt wurde. Der bedeutendste römische Stoiker, Seneca, hat seine Auffassung vom fatum indes nirgends systematisch darge-legt. Der Beitrag stellt eine Auswahl der markantesten Äußerungen über das fatum aus den verschiedenen Werkgruppen zusammen (Naturales Quaestiones, De providentia, De vita beata, Consolatio ad Helviam, Epistuale morales, Epigramme, Tragödien) und ordnet sie interpretierend in den jeweiligen Kontext ein. Es zeigt sich, daß hinter den punktuellen Äußerungen eine in sich widerspruchsfreie und mit dem mainstream der Stoa übereinstimmende Lehre vom Schicksal zu rekonstruieren ist. Seneca problematisiert diese allerdings nirgends, sondern präsentiert sie seinen Lesern fast überall als selbstverständlich gültige Argumentationsbasis. Sein Interesse gilt den psychologischen Problemen der praktischen Akzeptanz des fatum, dem konkreten Umgang mit dessen scheinbarer Undurchschaubarkeit und Willkür.

Bu çalışma,Stoa felsefesinin ölüm anlayışını ve bu ölüm anlayışının felsefe tarihindeki yerini ve önemini belirlemek için hazırlanmıştır.Araştırmanın asıl amacı yaşamın bir diğer yüzü olan ölüm düşüncesini kavramak,Stoa felsefesi içerisindeki önemini ele almak böylece ölümün kötü bir olgu olmadığını, ölüm korkusunun anlamsızlığını ortaya koymaktır. Dünya devleti, evrensel bir ideal olarak yaklaşık yirmi beş yüzyıl öncesine dayanan bir düşüncedir. Felsefi temelleri Stoacıların kozmopolitan anlayışına kadar uzanmaktadır. Ancak bu düşünce, tam anlamıyla yirminci yüzyılda şekillenmiştir. İkinci Dünya Savaşı'nın son yıllarında Japonya'nın Hiroşima ve Nagazaki şehirlerine atılan atom bombaları, dünya çapında korku ve şok etkisi yaratmıştır. 1945-1950 yılları arasında nükleer bir felaketten korunmak ve savaşları önlemek amacıyla çok sayıda dünya devleti önerisi getirilmiştir. Soğuk Savaş nedeniyle bu düşünce geri planda kalsa da, 1990'lardan itibaren kozmopolitanizmin de yükselişiyle birlikte tekrar gündeme gelmiştir. Dünya devleti düşüncesi, çoğunlukla imkânsız bir düşünce veya bir ütopya olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Siyasal kozmopolitanizm ile onun kurumsal bir projesi olarak görülebilecek dünya devleti, Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplini içinde bazı istisnaların dışında destek görmemiştir. Bu istisnalardan belki de en dikkat çekici olanı, Alexander Wendt'in dünya devletinin kaçınılmaz olduğu iddiasıdır. Dünya devletinin kaçınılmaz bir son olacağını kesin bir şekilde bilemeyiz. Ancak sınırlı bir dünya devletinin mümkün olduğunu öngörebiliriz., World state as a universal ideal dates back to twenty five centuries ago. The philosophical grounds of it can be traced back to the cosmopolitan idea of Stoics. However, this idea was aroused entirely in the twentieth century. Atomic bombs dropped on Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagazaki in the last years of the World War II caused a worldwide fear and shock. Between the years of 1945 and 1950, a vast number of world state proposals have been made in order to prevent wars and a nuclear disaster. After the Cold War, until the rise of cosmopolitanism in the 1990s, this idea remained in back ground. Idea of the world state is mostly considered as an impossible thought or a utopia. Political cosmopolitanism and idea of the world state as its institutional project has not been taken seriously within the discipline of International Relations with some exceptions. Perhaps the most striking of these exceptions is Alexander Wendt's claim that the world state is inevitable. We cannot know for certain that the world state will be an inevitable endstate. However, we can foresee that a limited world state is possible.

Le large complexe commercial de la cité antique d’Argilos, découvert il y a de cela quelques années, a depuis révélé autant de découvertes qu’il a soulevé de questions. Cet alignement de chambres, reconnues comme des boutiques individuelles et datées dès la période archaïque, font du « Bâtiment L » l’une des plus anciennes structures de sa catégorie. Vraisemblablement unique dans sa conception, cette structure rappelle la stoa hellénistique, sans toutefois arborer la colonnade frontale de cette dernière. Ce complexe est particulièrement d’intérêt en ce qui concerne son utilisation dans le contexte commercial de l’époque, mais aussi, à savoir si sa conception distincte est attestée ailleurs dans le monde grec antique. Ce faisant, il nous est possible d’approfondir notre compréhension des fonctions d'un tel bâtiment et de son développement architectural, ainsi que de son lien plus large avec les circonstances économiques et sociales de la vie grecque antique. De nombreuses études ont déjà été consacrées à l'étude de l'architecture et de l'urbanisme grec antique, tout particulièrement sur l'activité économique menée dans les zones de marché de la période hellénistique. Toutefois, les périodes antérieures demeurent quant à elles insuffisamment documentées. Notons plus spécifiquement, l'état des structures commerciales durant les périodes archaïques et classiques qui n’ont fait l’objet d’aucune étude exhaustive jusqu’à maintenant. Lors de publications précédentes, J.J. Coulton et Susan Rotroff ont déjà respectivement examiné l’usage et le développement des stoa grecques et autres structures commerciales possibles à Athènes. À la différence de la période hellénistique, qui a vu naître la prééminence de la stoa hellénistique, il semble n’y avoir, pour les périodes antérieures, aucune forme architecturale définie, englobant ce type de boutiques. Cette thèse propose de s’y soumettre, soit de présenter une étude méthodique de l'architecture commerciale archaïque et classique, en fournissant des études de cas individuelles qui sont pertinentes au récit historique, à la croissance économique, ainsi qu’au commerce culturel de l'époque. Ceci, de manière à déceler un modèle dans la conception architecturale des structures commerciales situées dans la Grèce antique et ses colonies au cours des périodes archaïques et classiques., Much has come to light following the discovery of the large commercial building at ancient Argilos in recent years, almost as much as the questions it prompted. One of the earliest structures of its type, the series of rooms that make up ‘Building L’ are recognized as individual shops that can be dated as early as the Archaic period. Seemingly unique in its design, the structure resembled a Hellenistic stoa, although it did not include a colonnade before the rooms. The structure became a point of interest, especially regarding its utilization in a commercial context and whether its distinctive design might be found elsewhere in the ancient Greek world. In so doing, we can acquire a more thorough understanding of the functions and architectural development of such a building, as well as its broader connection to the economic and social circumstances of ancient Greek life. There has been much scholarship devoted to the study of ancient Greek architecture and urbanism, specifically the economic activity carried out in the market areas of the Hellenistic period. Yet there remains insufficient research in these areas concerning earlier periods. More specifically, there is no comprehensive study dedicated to the state of commercial structures during the Archaic and Classical periods. Previous publications, such as those of J.J. Coulton and Susan Rotroff, have examined the uses and development of Greek stoas and other possible commercial structures in Athens, respectively. Unlike the Hellenistic period, that saw the preeminence of the Hellenistic stoa, there does not seem to be a single defined architectural form for commercial shops in earlier periods. This thesis proposes to contend this point, to present a methodical study of Archaic and Classical commercial architecture by providing individual case studies, which are also pertinent to the historical narrative, economic growth, and cultural trade of the period. Thus, revealing a pattern in the architectural design of commercial structures located in ancient Greece and its colonies during the Archaic and Classical periods.

Batı metafiziğinin temel dayanakları ile kavramsal çerçevesini eleştiren ve felsefi yönelimini `Platonculuğu tersine çevirmek` olarak ifade eden Deleuze, problemin üstesinden gelmek için geleneğin içerisinde bulunan bir noktaya işaret eder. Bu nokta, felsefe tarihinde Platonculuğu ilk ve radikal bir biçimde tersine çeviren Stoacılıktır. İdeaları yerinden etmek suretiyle Platoncu varlık anlayışının hiyerarşik yapısını tartışmaya açan Stoacılık, aynı zamanda Sokrates öncesi filozofların doğa görüşlerinin de yeniden değerlendirilmesini sağlamaktadır. Deleuze'e göre varlık/oluş ikiliğini ortadan kaldırma noktasında hem Platoncu ideaları yüzeye indiren hem de Sokrates öncesi dünyanın iç içe geçmiş derinliklerini yüzeye çıkaran Stoacılık, metafizik geleneğin içinden bir çözüm önerisi sunar. Batı metafizik geleneğinin temel kategorilerini ve bu kategorilerin işleyişini tartışmaya açma noktasında, geleneğe karşıt bir alana işaret etmek yerine, tam da geleneğin içinden bir olanağın izini sürmek bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, çalışmanın konusunu Stoa felsefesinin temel bölümlerinden biri olan fizik oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın bölümleri ise geleneksel metafiziğin `gerçeklik`, `varlık` ve `evren` tasarımına koşut bir biçimde `fizik`, `bir şey`, `var olan` ve `evrensel düzen`den oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde fizik araştırmasının Stoa felsefesi açısından önemi vurgulanarak fiziğin kapsamı ve sınırları belirlenecek; sonraki üç bölümde konu ve dönem açısından sınırları belirlenmiş olan fiziğin detaylarına odaklanılacaktır. Böylelikle Stoa fiziğinin muhalif olduğu geleneksel metafizikten ne ölçüde farklılaştığı ve bu farklılıklar oranında nasıl bir ontolojiye imkan sağlayabileceği ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır. Sonuç bölümünde ise Stoa felsefesinin metafizik açmazlara ve problemlere yönelik sunduğu olanaklar tartışılacak ve böylece metafizik geleneğe, gelenek içinden bir müdahalenin ne anlama gelebileceği üzerine sonuçlar çıkarılmaya çalışılacaktır. Deleuze, who criticizes the basic foundations and conceptual framework of Western metaphysics and defines his philosophical orientation as `reversing Platonism`, refers to a point inside the tradition to overcome the problem. This 'point' is the Stoicism that reversed Platonism in the first and radical way in the history of philosophy. Stoicism has opened up the hierarchical structure of the Platonic concept of being and it has also provided a reassessment of the nature views of pre-Socratic philosophers. According to Deleuze, Stoicism, which brings the Platonic ideas down and whereas brings the interwoven depths of the inner pre-Socratic world to the surface at the point of removing the being/becoming duality, offers a solution from within the metaphysical tradition. At the point of debating the basic categories of Western metaphysical tradition and the functioning of these categories, rather than pointing to a field opposite to tradition, it is precisely the purpose of this study to trace a possible one from within the tradition. In accordance with this purpose, the subject of the study will be physics, which is one of the basic parts of the Stoic philosophy. Therefore, the parts of the study consist of physics, `something`, `existent (existence)`, and `universal order` in parallel to the design of `reality`, `being (essence)`, and the `universe` of traditional metaphysics. In the first chapter, the scope and limits of the physics will be determined by emphasizing the importance of the physical investigation in terms of Stoic philosophy; in the next three chapters the focus will be on the details of the physics whose boundaries are defined in terms of subject and period. Hereby, it will be attempted to show to what extent the Stoic physics differs from the traditional metaphysics and what kind of ontology it could provide in proportion to these differences. In the conclusion chapter, the possibilities offered by the Stoic philosophy for metaphysical dilemmas and problems will be discussed and so conclusions will be tried to be drawn about what an intervention, coming from within the tradition, to metaphysical tradition might mean. 333

The main sources for the discussion of the category "relation" were Aristotle's Categories and Metaphysics. Before their translation into Arabic in the 8th and 9th centuries, Christian theologians and in their footsteps Syriac scholars considered Aristotle's works to be a useful tool in Christological discussions. This article analyzes the category of relation and its development in Arabic-Islamic philosophy in authors such as Kindī and his student Aḥmad Ibn aṭ-Ṭayyib as-Saraḫsī, Fārābī, Ibn Sīnā, Ghazālī, Ibn Rušd, the Sufi Ibn ʿArabī and others. Les principals fonts de discussió sobre la categoria de "relació" foren les Categories i la Metafísica d'Aristòtil. Abans de ser traduïdes a l'àrab durant els segles VIII i IX, els teòlegs cristians i els seus seguidors siris consideraren que les obres d'Aristòtil constituïen un instrument útil en les discussions cristològiques. İlk defa Antik Yunan'da ortaya çıkmış ve o zamandan itibaren sosyal ve siyasal düşünce içerisinde çok önemli bir yer tutmuş olan kozmopolitanizm düşüncesinin tarihsel gelişiminde üç önemli uğrak vardır: Stoacılar, doğal hukuk kuramları ve Kant kozmopolitanizmi. Özellikle 1989'da Berlin Duvarı'nın yıkılmasıyla, uluslararası boyutta ve insan hakları, uluslararası hukuk, küresel yönetişim ve devletlerarasında barışçıl ilişkileri temel alan çağdaş kozmopolitanizm teorileri ortaya çıkmıştır. Kozmopolitizm kavramının tarihsel kaynaklarını ve geçirdiği değişimleri incelemek üzere yapılan bu çalışma, kavramın günümüzdeki yansımalarını da Arendt, Habermas, Rawls, Beck, Nusbaum, Held gibi önemli düşünürlerin kuramları çerçevesinde eleştirel olarak analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır.Bu çalışmada, kozmopolitanizm, ahlaki-yasal temele dayanan evrensel bir dünya düzeni kurma ideali olarak kavramsallaştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. There are three major moments of cosmopolitan thought: Firstly Stoic moment, the second that of natural law theory and third that of Kantian cosmopolitanism. Especially after the physical dismantling of the Berlin Wall in 1989 appropriately marked the emergence of a new cosmopolitanism that is itself international and places human rights, international law, global governance and peaceful relations between states at the centre of its vision of the world. Thusly, the study aims to make a critical analyse the reflections of the cosmopolitical theory today which are introduced especially by Arendt, Habermas, Rawls, Beck, Nusbaum, Held, etc. By the way of retracing the notion of cosmopolitanism with its historical resources and evolutionary moments. In this study, cosmopolitanism is tried to conceptualize as an ideal of establishing an universal world order based on moral and legal imperatives. And in this context cosmopolitanism is presented as the evolving institutional structure and the formal ideology of this new world order. The Hellenistic sanctuary of the Asklepios at Messene has a square courtyard surrounded by Stoas from its four sides. It has beenconsidered by that the Asklepieion was built between the end of the 3rd century and the 2nd century B.C. Nevertheless, the recent studies of the building of the Asklepieion assigned that the construction of the sanctuary is dated as the first half of the 2nd century B.C. The stylistic analysis of the architectural ornamentation demonstrates that the Stoas are dated to the first half of the 2nd century B.C., which agrees with the recent dating of the other buildings of the Asklepieion and archaeological findings. It is also confirmed that the omamentations of the Stoas belong to the traditional architecture from the early Hellenistic period back to the middle of the 4th century to the 3rd century B.C. The Corinthian Stoa was influences by the trend of the founder, who is believed to be a king of Macedonia.

The reconstruction works at archaeological sites need to be approached with caution to prevent disturbing any surviving evidence. This study aims to develop criteria for the evaluation of reconstructions at archaeological sites. The criteria have been developed through review of current international and national conservation charters to help improve reconstruction proposals. These criteria are determined considering the remain scale and the site scale. Accuracy of the reconstruction, avoidance of physical damage, compatibility of materials, distinguishability of the interventions, availability of the interventions for future applications, and reversibility are the criteria concerning the remain scale; limits of the intervention, retainability of the original characteristics of the site, and perception of the reconstruction are the criteria concerning the site scale. These criteria are applied to the reconstruction works realized at the West Stoa of Agora, zmir, Turkey during 1930s, which had to be dismissed and reimplemented in 2000s. The recent reconstruction was applied with compatible materials; the interventions did not damage the original materials and they are distinguishable. This study of the reconstruction presents the latest architectural information, provides a basis for future studies, and is reversible. The reconstructed structure does not falsify the original characteristics, but enables increased perception of the site.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Stoa Okulunun önde gelen düşünürlerinden MarcusAurelius'un felsefi düşüncelerini açıklamaktır. Aurelius, doğa ile uyumlu yaşamanınneden önemli olduğunu düşüncelerinde dile getirmektedir. Ayrıca Aurelius'un özellikleüstünde durduğu diğer noktalar ise doğru düşünce ile doğru eylemde bulunmak, doğadavar olan sisteme karşı gelememek, ruhun özellikleri, Tanrı, ahlak ve doğada yaşayaninsanın mutluluğa nasıl ulaşacağıdır.Bu çalışma iki bölüm olarak ele alındı. Birinci bölümde Stoa felsefesinin genelözellikleri ile Stoa felsefesinde mantık, fizik ve ahlak konuları ele alındı.
