The species diversity, guild and current status of the avifauna in the Sultanpur National Park, Haryana was investigated during January 2018 to June 2019. The line transects method with constant length and variable width was used in the study. The presence of 111 species of birds belonging to 90 genera, 42 families and 17 orders were observed. Non-passerine bird species dominated over the passerine bird species in relative diversity. Data of residential status revealed that 82 species were resident and rest 29 were either winter or summer migrants. Sultanpur National Park supported 41 (36.9%) omnivorous, 29 (26.1%) carnivorous, 24 (21.6%) insectivorous, 9 (8.1%) granivorous, 6 (5.4%) frugivorous and 2 (1.8%) nectarivorous birds. It was further reported that Sultanpur National Park supported 1 endangered, 1 vulnerable and 6 near threatened species of birds. Analysis of population status as per IUCN revealed that 35 species were having stable, 32 decreasing, 25 increasing, 19 had unknown population trend. It is hoped that the study will be helpful in drawing attention, of the public and state government towards conservation of the Sultanpur National Park and, protection of its avian fauna. Avian diversity of Tilyar Lake (28.883-28.879 0N & 76.637 -76.634 0E) located on the eastern outskirts of Rohtak, Haryana was conducted from May 2017 to April 2018. A total of 73 avian species belonging to 62 genera and 31 families under 15 orders was observed. Order Passeriformes with 21 species in 12 families dominated the avifauna whereas orders Bucerotiformes, Podicipediformes, and Psittaciformes were poorly represented with a single species each. Family Anatidae was the most dominant representing 13.89% (n=10) of the total species recorded. Among the reported species 75% (n=54) were resident while 25% (n=18) were migrant. Common Pochard Aythya ferina assessed globally as Vulnerable, while Painted Stork Mycteria leucocephala, Oriental Darter Anhinga melanogaster and Black-headed Ibis Threskiornis melanocephalus are assessed as Near Threatened, whereas the rest of the species were in the Least Concern category of the IUCN Red List 2019. The omnivorous feeding habit was shown by the maximum number of species while frugivorous and granivorous bird species were in the least numbers. The rich avifaunal diversity of the Tilyar Lake confirms it as a suitable habitat for both resident and migrant bird species. The study was carried out in12 Anganwadi areas of ferozepur District in Punjab to know about the various aspects of reproduction of the population. A total of 13, 782 population was covered. The sex ratio of the surveyed population was 900.7 females to 1000 males. The crude Birth rate of the area came to be 26.83 per 1000 population. In 94.87% of the births, the delivery occurred at the completion of 36 weeks of Gestation period & majority of the births (91.63%) occurred to the mothers in the age group of 20 to 35 years . 24.86% of the children were born to the mothers with parity of five and above. 46.75% of the births took place between the months of July and October. 96.22% of the deliveries were conducted at home and majority (93.79%) of the mothers utilized the services of indigenous dais( 73.52% of trained dais and 20.27% of untrained dais) for the conduction of delivery.

Dental informatics is comparatively a juvenile and new field that has noteworthy potential for supporting clinical care, research, education and management. This field utilizes computer science, information sciences and the application of same to espouse dentistry. However, in the under-developed and developing countries almost most of the dentists are unacquainted about dental informatics, its goals, what it is capable of achieving and by what means they can get involved into it. Despite of emerging advances, certain conflicts also go along with it such as, professional under representation, security issues of the stored information due to universal access to computers high speed internet connections. Endnote software was used as resource material to collect literature which was carefully arranged in a synchronized way. Introduction: A child is future of nation. Malnutrition is a big public health problem in India as it can be attributed for more than half (54 percent) of all under five mortality in India. Aim: To assess prevalence of malnutrition among urban and rural population of Haryana using newly developed WHO growth standards. Settings and Design: A community based cross-sectional survey was conducted in children of 3-60 months age living in the urban and rural field practice areas of Department of Community Medicine MMIMSR, Mullana, Ambala during January 2012 to December 2012. Materials and Methods: Seven hundred and fifty children, aged 3-60 months, were studied for nutritional status, socio-demographic measures were obtained from structured questionnaire and followed by anthropometric assessment using standards methods. Z score for Anthropometric data was calculated by WHO Anthro 2010 software (beta version). Statistical Analysis: Descriptive statistics as well as simple proportion were calculated with SPSS 20. Results: We found that 41.3% children were underweight and 14% were severe underweight. Female children were more nutritionally deprived than males. Among sociodemographic factors maternal educational and working status as well as SES class and rural background of family had greater impact on nutritional status of child. Conclusion: We found that almost half of our under five children are underweight, girl child being affected more. For attainment of best possible nutrition and growth in children, targeted short-term strategies addressing underlying risk factors and more long-term poverty alleviation strategies may be needed. The article present a case study of a 19-year-old boy with complaints of gradually progressive binocular diplopia and drooping of the right upper eyelid for 1 month. It mentions his Ocular examination revealed right eye exotropia with severe ptosis in the primary gaze, along with bilateral nearly complete adduction and elevation deficit; and also mentions his Mantoux test was 22 mm and chest X-ray showed no evidence of pulmonary tuberculosis.
