Abstract

In this paper, a design method for a multiwavelength photon sieve is described based on a random-area-divided approach, where the whole aperture of a multiwavelength imaging photon sieve is divided into multiple discrete spaces corresponding to the number of the selected working wavelengths. The micropinhole distribution in each discrete space can be calculated for the defined wavelength with one fixed focal length in terms of the normal design for photon sieve. A three-wavelength photon sieve was designed and fabricated in the lab, and its imaging properties are analyzed in the experimental optical system with satisfactory results. Abstract

A broadband-corrected optical telescope has been constructed from a photon sieve with five million holes. Through careful optimization of hole size, this 'antihole' sieve has holes centered on the dark underlying Fresnel zones. The diffraction-limited performance of a 1 m focal-length, f/10 element is demonstrated with a view toward constructing large lightweight telescopes for space applications. Abstract

The incorporation of Ti in the MFI structure using easy to handle source, the hexafluorotitanic acid, is successfully achieved without the formation of cominant phases. In comparison with the traditionally used tetraethyl orthotitanate and tetraethyl orthosilicate, this method presents the advantages of low cost and stability of the reagents as they do not undergo hydrolysis when exposed to air.

Abstract

Vanadium containing mesoporous silica molecular sieve with highly dispersed and tetrahedrally coordinated V-oxide ([V.sup.v][O.sub.4]) species was prepared by a modified surfactant-templating method and its photocatalytic activity and stability was studied. The measurements reveal that the modified templating method creates [V.sup.v][O.sub.4] species confined within silica layer, while other methods create [V.sup.v][O.sub.4] species exposed on silica surface.

Blain Sand and Gravel had installed Dur-Elast urethane curved sieves between the sand screw and the screen to enhance the quality of the sand and minimize the quantity of fines included in the settling pond. The sieved sand materials satisfied the Mississippi Dept of Transportation specifications and increased production levels compared to the cyclone method replaced by the sieves. Tapas Datta, factory manager of plant, selected the Russell Finex Compact Airlock Sieve, which uses a pneumatic clamping system. Product trials showed how the new Airlock screener utilizes the Russell Compact technology to increase the efficiency of screening.
