Dieses Buch beschäftigt sich mit Gebäuden für Büros und spricht andere Zeitachsen an, es ruft dazu auf über das Ende einzelner Nutzung hinauszudenken. Der hohe Ressourcen- und Energieaufwand für Gebäude legt nahe, nicht nur im Hinblick auf Investitionen und Amortisation, sondern gesamtwirtschaftlich einen neuen Blick auf eine gegenwärtige Praxis zu werfen, die den Baubestand an Bürogebäuden vorderhand als Problem sieht. Dabei ist im Bestand von Bürogebäuden CO2 gebunden, sie enthalten Ressourcen und Energie—das Weiterverwenden von Baubestand kann ein wichtiger Beitrag zum Erreichen von Klimazielen und höherer Ressourcen- und Energiesouveränität werden. Die gegenwärtig Praxis sieht anders aus, wie in der Forschung des Buchs dargestellt wird, wird in Hannover in großem Maß für Ersatzneubauten optiert, bestehende Bürogebäude werden abgerissen oder stehen leer. Zudem reduzieren verschiedene öffentliche Institutionen und Organisationen Büroflächen, aufgrund von Optimierungen und neuen, teilweise mobilen Arbeitsmodellen. Daher bietet der Bestand an Bürogebäuden die Chance, mit neue Nutzungsprogrammen auf gesellschaftliche Herausforderungen wie den Bedarf an Wohnraum, räumlicher und sozialer Verdichtung und höherer Nutzungsmischung in Städten zu antworten.

This thesis, a result of a cotutelle and double degree agreement between Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and Leibniz Universität Hannover, aims to demonstrate that the integration of planning scales and prioritising sustainable development in metropolitan fringe areas are crucial for the resilience of these territories in the face of climate change. It argues that the implementation of a new governance model for urban and regional planning in metropolitan areas is imperative, connecting different scales and planning sectors and promoting inter-municipal cooperation to develop urban strategies and interventions that consider local specificities without ignoring regional implications. The hypothesis is that, in the face of the challenges posed by climate change, the absence of an urban planning process that articulates regional instruments together with a multi-scale and inter-sectoral governance model is the main obstacle to creating pathways for sustainable and resilient development in the metropolitan fringes of Brazilian cities. The object of study is the Juqueri-Cantareira sub-basin, located in the northern part of the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, Brazil. The methodology includes document analysis, semi-structured interviews, field research, and georeferenced data. The work is structured in four chapters. The first introduces concepts related to climate change and socio-ecological resilience, in light of the emergence of an ecological and regenerative paradigm in urban and regional planning. The second examines international examples from three metropolitan areas (Barcelona, Paris, Medellín), extracting lessons and principles for urban and regional planning linked to climate change plans. The third chapter correlates theoretical discussion and case studies, culminating in the creation of a method for analysing urban and regional plans. Es wird argumentiert, dass die Implementierung eines neuen Governance-Modells für die städtische und regionale Planung in Metropolregionen zwingend erforderlich ist, um verschiedene Planungsskalen und -sektoren zu verbinden und interkommunale Zusammenarbeit zu fördern, um Strategien und städtische Eingriffe zu entwickeln, die lokale Besonderheiten berücksichtigen, ohne regionale Implikationen zu ignorieren. Die Hypothese ist, dass angesichts der durch den Kli-mawandel gestellten Herausforderungen die Abwesenheit eines städtischen Planungsprozesses, der regionale Instrumente artikuliert, in Verbindung mit einem multiskalaren und sektorübergreif-enden Governance-Modell das Haupthindernis für die Entwicklung nachhaltiger und resilienter Wege in den Metropolrändern brasilianischer Städte darstellt. Als Untersuchungsgegenstand dient das Subbecken Juqueri-Cantareira, gelegen im Norden der Metropolregion São Paulo, Brasilien. Die Methodik umfasst Dokumentenanalyse, semistrukturierte Interviews, Feldforschung und georef-erenzierte Daten. Die Arbeit ist in vier Kapitel gegliedert. Im zweiten Kapitel werden internationale Beispiele von drei Metropolregionen (Barcelona, Paris, Medellín) untersucht, aus denen Lehren und Prinzipien für die städtische und regionale Planung in Verbindung mit Klimawandelplänen abgeleitet werden. Argumenta-se que a implementação de um novo modelo de governança para o planejamento urbano e regional em áreas metropolitanas é imperativa, conectando diferentes escalas e setores de planejamento e promovendo cooperação intermunicipal para desenvolver estratégias e intervenções urbanas que considerem especificidades locais sem ignorar implicações regionais. A hipótese é que diante dos desafios impostos pela mudança climática, a ausência de um processo de planejamento urbano que articule instrumentos regionais aliado a um modelo de governança multiescalar e interseto-rial constitui o principal obstáculo para construir caminhos para o desenvolvimento sustentável e resiliente nas franjas metropolitanas de cidades brasileiras. Tendo como objeto de estudo a sub-ba-cia Juqueri-Cantareira, localizada na porção norte da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo, Brasil, a metodologia, incorpora a análise documental, entrevistas semiestruturadas, pesquisa de campo e dados georreferenciados. O primeiro introduz conceitos relativos à mudança climática e resiliência socioecológica, tendo em vista a emergên-cia de um paradigma ecológico e regenerativo no âmbito do planejamento urbano e regional. Durch die rasanten Urbanisierung Bogotás ab der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts wurden sechs umliegende Dörfer zu Teilen der heutigen Metropole. Aus städtebaulicher Perspektive werden räumliche, soziale und diskursive Veränderungen dieses Prozesses untersucht. Der polyzentrale Blick aus der Peripherie eröffnet ein neues Verständnis über kontinuierliche und dynamische Transformationen der Metropole, der Bedeutung von Orten und Architektur und das transformative Potenzial des kulturellen Erbes., Bogotá's rapid urbanisation from the second half of the 20th century onwards turned six surrounding villages into parts of today's metropolis. Spatial, social and discursive changes in this process are examined from an urban design perspective. The polycentric view from the periphery opens up a new understanding of continuous and dynamic transformations of the metropolis, the significance of places and architecture and the transformative potential of cultural heritage.

We determine the material parameters in the relaxed micromorphic generalized continuum model for a given periodic microstructure in this work. This is achieved through a least squares fitting of the total energy of the relaxed micromorphic homogeneous continuum to the total energy of the fully-resolved heterogeneous microstructure, governed by classical linear elasticity. The relaxed micromorphic model is a generalized continuum that utilizes the $\Curl$ of a micro-distortion field instead of its full gradient as in the classical micromorphic theory, leading to several advantages and differences. The most crucial advantage is that it operates between two well-defined scales. These scales are determined by linear elasticity with microscopic and macroscopic elasticity tensors, which respectively bound the stiffness of the relaxed micromorphic continuum from above and below. While the macroscopic elasticity tensor is established a priori through standard periodic first-order homogenization, the microscopic elasticity tensor remains to be determined. Additionally, the characteristic length parameter, associated with curvature measurement, controls the transition between the micro- and macro-scales. Both the microscopic elasticity tensor and the characteristic length parameter are here determined using a computational approach based on the least squares fitting of energies. This process involves the consideration of an adequate number of quadratic deformation modes and different specimen sizes. High performance magnets play an important role in critical issues of modern life such as renewable energy supply, independence of fossile resource and electro mobility. The performance optimization of the established magnetic material system relies mostly on the microstructure control and modification. Here, finite element based in‐silico characterizations, as micromagnetic simulations can be used to predict the magnetization distribution on fine scales. The evolution of the magnetization vectors is described within the framework of the micromagnetic theory by the Landau‐Lifshitz‐Gilbert equation, which requires the numerically challenging preservation of the Euclidean norm of the magnetization vectors. Finite elements have proven to be particularly suitable for an accurate discretization of complex microstructures. However, when introducing the magnetization vectors in terms of a cartesian coordinate system, finite elements do not preserve their unit length a priori. Hence, additional numerical methods have to be considered to fulfill this requirement. This work introduces a perturbed Lagrangian multiplier to penalize all deviations of the magnetization vectors from the Euclidean norm in a suited manner. To reduce the resulting system of equations, an element level based condensation of the Lagrangian multiplier is presented.

Messestand für Real Estate Arena 2022, Messe Hannover: Studierende der Leibniz Universität Hannover und der Hochschule Hannover installierten das Design Build Projekt ressource.architektur auf der neuen Immobilienmesse Real Estate Arena in Hannover am 18. und 19. Mai 2022, gemeinsam entwickelt mit der Architektenkammer Niedersachsen, dem Bund Deutscher Architekten Niedersachsen BDA, dem Bund Deutscher Baumeister Niedersachsen BDB, dem Bund Deutscher Innenarchitekten Niedersachsen BDIA, dem Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekten Niedersachsen BDLA und dem Netzwerk Baukultur in Niedersachsen, zusammen mit der Fakultät für Architektur und Landschaft der Leibniz Universität Hannover und dem Studiengang Innenarchitektur der Hochschule Hannover. ressource.architektur wurde ermöglicht durch eine Vielzahl von Sponsoren aus der Baubranche. Unter dem Motto ressource.architektur wurden auf der Messe mit Impulsvorträgen, Diskussionsrunden und Videoinstallationen die drei Schwerpunkte Wohnungsbau, Umgang mit Ressourcen und Nachhaltige Stadt vorgestellt und diskutiert.

In this contribution we propose a data-driven surrogate model for the prediction of magnetic stray fields in two-dimensional random micro-heterogeneous materials. Since data driven models require thousands of training data sets, FEM simulations appear to be too time consuming. Hence, a stochastic model based on Brownian motion, which utilizes an efficient evaluation of stochastic transition matrices, is applied for the training data generation. For the encoding of the microstructure and the optimization of the surrogate model, two architectures are compared, i.e. the so-called UResNet model and the Fourier Convolutional neural network (FCNN). Here we analyze two FCNNs, one based on the discrete cosine transformation and one based on the complex-valued discrete Fourier transformation. Finally, we compare the magnetic stray fields for independent microstructures (not used in the training set) with results from the FE$^2$ method, a numerical homogenization scheme, to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed surrogate model.

To model the mechanically-driven phase transformations, e.g. martensitic transformation, using the phase-field theory, suitable models are needed for describing the mechanical fields of the individual non-vanishing phase-fields in the interface regions in order to obtain the mechanical driving forces of phase-field motion. Quantitative modeling requires satisfying the interfacial static equilibrium and kinematic compatibility conditions which have already been achieved in the literature for dual-phase-field materials by using the rank-one relaxation (or convexification) of the energy density. A direct generalization to the multi-phase-field case is not applicable without breaking these conditions partially. To the best of our knowledge, no existing multi-phase-field elasticity model has been able to satisfy the jump conditions between all the locally-active phase-fields on their pairwise normals in triple and higher-order junctions.
