Der NDR-Audio-Podcast "Das Coronavirus-Update" war in der COVID-19-Pandemie ein besonders erfolgreiches Format des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks, das das Ziel verfolgte, mit Hilfe von Gesundheitsexpert:innen wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse einem breiten Laienpublikum verständlich zu vermitteln. Der vorliegende Beitrag widmet sich auf Basis einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse der Transkripte von 113 Podcast-Folgen subjektiven Medientheorien im Podcast und fragt, inwieweit im Rahmen des Formats Vorstellungen zu a) Medieninhalten, deren b) Entstehungsbedingungen und c) Wirkungen vermittelt wurden. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass subjektive Medientheorien im Podcast regelmäßig formuliert wurden, wobei häufig ein tendenziell negatives Medienbild gezeichnet und ein starker Einfluss der Medieninhalte auf die öffentliche Meinung und das politische Handeln angenommen wurde., The NDR audio podcast "Das Coronavirus-Update" ("The Coronavirus Update") was a particularly successful format of German public broadcasting during the COVID-19 pandemic, which pursued the goal of understandably communicating scientific facts to a broad lay audience with the help of health experts. Based on a qualitative content analysis of the transcripts of 113 podcast episodes, this paper addresses subjective (lay) media theories in the podcast and asks to what extent the podcast presents which ideas about a) media content, its b) conditions of origin and its c) effects. Introduction: Diffuse-type gastric cancer (DTGC) is associated with poor outcome. Surgical resection margin status (R) is an important prognostic factor, but its exact impact on DTGC patients remains unknown. The aim of this study was to assess the prognostic value of microscopically positive margins (R1) after gastrectomy on survival and tumour recurrence in DTGC patients. Methods: All consecutive DTGC patients from two tertiary centers who underwent curative oncologic gastrectomy from 2005 to 2018 were analyzed. The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS) for R0 versus R1 patients. Secondary endpoints included disease-free survival (DFS), recurrence patterns as well as the overall survival benefit of chemotherapy in this DTGC patient cohort. Results: Overall, 108 patients were analysed, 88 with R0 and 20 with R1 resection. Patients with negative lymph nodes and negative margins (pN0R0) had the best OS (median 102 months, 95% CI 1–207), whereas pN + R0 patients had better median OS than pN + R1 patients (36 months 95% CI 13–59, versus 7 months, 95% CI 1–13, p < 0.001). Similar findings were observed for DFS. Perioperative chemotherapy offered a median OS of 46 months (95% CI 24–68) versus 9 months (95% CI 1–25) after upfront surgery (p = 0.022). R1 patients presented more often early recurrence (< 12 postoperative months, 30% vs 8%, p = 0.002), however, no differences were observed in recurrence location. Conclusion: DTGC patients with microscopically positive margins (R1) presented poorer OS and DFS, and early tumour recurrence in the present series. R0 resection should be obtained whenever possible, even if other adverse biological features are present.

Die Zeit der COVID-19-Pandemie war eine Spezialzeit, die von einem großen Wunsch nach einer Rückkehr zur "Normalzeit" (d. h. gewohnten Abläufen) geprägt war. Dieser Wunsch ist uns auch im Zusammenhang mit anderen Gesundheitsthemen nicht unbekannt. Entsprechend lautete der Tagungstitel der 6. Jahrestagung der DGPuK-Fachgruppe Gesundheitskommunikation "NDR-Podcast, AHA-Regel & #WirBleibenZuhause: Gesundheitskommunikation in Zeiten der Pandemie - und danach...". Sie fand vom 17. bis 19. November 2021 als Onlinetagung an der Universität Hohenheim statt. Neben einer thematischen Einführung geben wir hier einen kurzen Überblick über die elf Beiträge, die uns einerseits Erkenntnisse über diese Spezialzeit vermitteln, andererseits aber auch Themen der Gesundheitskommunikation aufgreifen, die auch in Normalzeiten speziell sind., The time of the COVID-19 pandemic was a special time characterized by a great desire for a return to "normal time". We already know this desire in connection with other health topics. Accordingly, the conference title of the 6th annual conference of the DGPuK section on health communication was "NDR podcast, AHA rule & #WirBleibenZuhause: health communication in times of the pandemic - and afterwards...". It took place from November 17 to 19, 2021 as an online conference organized by the Universität Hohenheim. Die Untersuchung der Wirkung von Responsibility Frames in sozialen Medien zum Thema Depressionen ist von hoher Relevanz für die Kommunikationswissenschaft. Dies ergibt sich daraus, dass mediale Verantwortungszuschreibungen Folgen für die (Ent-)Stigmatisierung der psychischen Störung haben können. Der Beitrag untersucht die Wirkung dreier Responsibility Frames (individuell, soziales Netzwerk, kombiniert) in Instagram-Posts zu Depressionen auf die Verantwortungszuschreibungen der Rezipierenden und erweitert damit die bestehende Forschung. Das Online-Experiment (N = 1.015) zeigte erstens, dass in Inhalten sozialer Medien solche Responsibility Frames, die die Verantwortung sozialer Einflüsse (soziales Netzwerk) für Depressionen betonen, soziale Zuschreibungen am effektivsten stärken. Der individuelle Responsibility Frame intensivierte hingegen die Auffassung, dass Betroffene selbst verantwortlich sind am meisten. Entgegen bisherigen Erkenntnissen zu anderen Gesundheitsproblemen zeigte unser Experiment zweitens, dass eine Kombination beider Frames in Instagram-Posts die Verantwortungszuschreibungen zu sozialen Einflüssen nicht am effektivsten intensiviert und gleichzeitig die Zuschreibungen zum Individuum erhöht. Am Ende werden Implikationen für die (Ent-)Stigmatisierung von Depressionen durch Responsibility Frames sozialer Medien abgeleitet. So könnte man im Kontext sozialer Medien vor allem mit Frames des sozialen Netzwerks der Stigmatisierung von Depressionen entgegenwirken., Investigating effects of responsibility frames regarding depression on social media is of high relevance for communication science. This results from the fact that responsibility attributions in the media can have consequences for the (de)stigmatization of the mental disorder. This paper examines the effects of three responsibility frames (individual, social network, combined) in Instagram posts about depression on recipients' attributions and thus extends existing research. First, the online experiment (N = 1,015) showed that in social media depictions, frames emphasizing social responsibilities (social network) for depression strengthened social attributions most effectively. By contrast, the individual responsibility frame intensified the belief that affected persons themselves are responsible to a great extent. Second, contrary to previous findings on other health problems, our experiment revealed that a combination of both frames in Instagram posts did not intensify social attributions in the most powerful way, while simultaneously increasing attributions to the individual. Finally, implications for (de)stigmatizing depression through responsibility frames on social media are derived. Mediale Responsibility Frames können beeinflussen, wie Menschen über Gesundheitsthemen wie Demenzen denken. Obwohl sich die bisherige Forschung auf die Untersuchung textueller Frames konzentriert, können auch visuelle Inhalte Frames enthalten, die die Wirkung medialer Inhalte auf Rezipierende beeinflussen können. Visuelle Frames können somit hilfreich zur effektiven Gestaltung medialer Gesundheitsbotschaften sein. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Wirkung visueller Responsibility Frames auf verschiedenen Verantwortungsebenen im Kontext von Demenzen auf Verantwortungsattributionen und Verhaltensintentionen Rezipierender. Ein repräsentatives Online-Experiment (N = 1,059) zeigt, dass das reine Vorhandensein eines visuellen Responsibility Frames, unabhängig von der Ebene, auf der Verantwortung zugeschrieben wird, die Zuschreibung von Verantwortung bei Rezipierenden erhöht. Es zeigen sich keine signifikanten Effekte der visuellen Frames auf Verhaltensintentionen., Media responsibility frames can influence how people think about health issues such as dementia. Although previous research has focused on studying textual frames, visual content may also contain frames that can influence the impact of media content on recipients. Thus, visual frames can be helpful in effectively designing media health messages. The present study investigates the effect of visual responsibility frames at different responsibility levels in the context of dementia on responsibility attributions and behavior intentions of recipients. A representative online experiment (N = 1,059) shows that the mere presence of a visual responsibility frame, regardless of the level at which responsibility is attributed, increases recipients' attribution of responsibility.
