Nitrogen oxides (NOxs) are some of the most important hazardous air pollutants from industry. In China, the annual NOx emission in the waste gas of industrial sources is about 8.957 million tons, while power plants remain the largest anthropogenic source of NOx emissions, and the precise control of NOx in power plants is crucial. However, due to inherent issues with measurement and pipelines in coal-fired power plants, there is typically a delay of about three minutes in NOx measurements, bringing mismatch between its control and measurement. Measuring delays in NOx from power plants can lead to excessive ammonia injection or failure to meet environmental standards for NOx emissions. To address the issue of NOx measurement delays, this study introduced a hybrid boosting model suitable for on-site implementation. The model could serve as a feedforward signal in SCR control, compensating for NOx measurement delays and enabling precise ammonia injection for accurate denitrification in power plants. The model combines generation mechanism and data-driven approaches, enhancing its prediction accuracy through the categorization of time-series data into linear, nonlinear, and exogenous regression components. In this study, a time-based method was proposed for analyzing the correlations between variables in denitration systems and NOx concentrations. This study also introduced a new evaluation indicator, part of R2 (PR2), which focused on the prediction effect at turning points. Finally, the proposed model was applied to actual data from a 330 MW power plant, showing excellent predictive accuracy, particularly for one-minute forecasts. For 3 min prediction, compared to predictions made by ARIMA, the R-squared (R2) and PR2 were increased by 3.6% and 30.6%, respectively, and the mean absolute error (MAE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) were decreased by 9.4% and 9.1%, respectively. Objectives: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate clinical and functional outcomes, graft integrity rate and progression of osteoarthritis after superior capsular reconstruction (SCR) at short-term follow-up. Methods: Consecutive patients that underwent SCR using an acellular dermal xeno- or allograft between May 2018 and June 2020 for the treatment of irreparable posterosuperior rotator cuff tears were included. Shoulder function (American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons [ASES] score), pain (Visual Analog Scale [VAS] for pain) and active shoulder range of motion (ROM) were evaluated preoperatively and after a minimum of 24 months postoperatively. Isometric strength was measured at follow-up and compared to the contralateral side. Magnetic resonance imaging was performed to evaluate graft integrity and osteoarthritis progression (shoulder osteoarthritis severity [SOAS] score). Results: Twenty-two patients that underwent SCR using a xeno- (n = 9) or allograft (n = 13) were evaluated 33.1 ± 7.2 months postoperatively. Four patients in the xenograft group underwent revision surgery due to pain and range of motion limitations and were excluded from further analysis (revision rate: 18.2%). Shoulder function (ASES score: 41.6 ± 18.8 to 72.9 ± 18.6, p < 0.001), pain levels (VAS for pain: 5.8 ± 2.5 to 1.8 ± 2.0, p < 0.001) and active flexion (p < 0.001) as well as abduction ROM (p < 0.001) improved significantly from pre- to postoperatively. Active external rotation ROM did not improve significantly (p = 0.924). Isometric flexion (p < 0.001), abduction (p < 0.001) and external rotation strength (p = 0.015) were significantly lower in the operated shoulder compared to the non-operated shoulder. Ten shoulders demonstrated a graft tear at the glenoid (n = 8, 44.4%) or humerus (n = 2, 11.1%). Graft lysis was observed in seven shoulders (38.9%). The graft was intact in one shoulder (5.6%), which was an allograft. A significant progression of shoulder osteoarthritis was observed at follow-up (SOAS score: 42.4 ± 10.1 to 54.6 ± 8.4, p < 0.001). Conclusions: At short-term follow-up, SCR using an acellular dermal xeno- or allograft resulted in improved shoulder function and pain with limitations in active external rotation ROM and isometric strength. Antibody-mediated complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) on malignant cells is regulated by several complement control proteins, including the inhibitory complement factor H (fH). fH consists of 20 short consensus repeat elements (SCRs) with specific functional domains. Previous research revealed that the fH-derived SCRs 19-20 (SCR1920) can displace full-length fH on the surface of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells, which sensitizes CLL cells for e.g. CD20-targeting therapeutic monoclonal antibody (mAb) induced CDC. Therefore, we constructed lentiviral vectors for the generation of cell lines that stably produce mAb-SCR-fusion variants starting from the clinically approved parental mAbs rituximab, obinutuzumab and ofatumumab, respectively. Flowcytometry revealed that the modification of the mAbs by the SCRs does not impair the binding to CD20. Increased in vitro lysis potency compared to their parental mAbs was corroborated by showing specific and dose dependent target cell elimination by CDC when compared to their parental mAbs. Lysis of CLL cells was not affected by the depletion of NK cells, suggesting that antibodydependent cellular cytotoxicity plays a minor role in this context. Overall, this study emphasizes the crucial role of CDC in the elimination of CLL cells by mAbs and introduces a novel approach for enhancing CDC by directly fusing fH SCR1920 with mAbs. The shift from outcrossing to self-fertilization is one of the main evolutionary transitions in plants and has broad effects on evolutionary trajectories. In Brassicaceae, the ability to inhibit self-fertilization is controlled by 2 genes, SCR and SRK , tightly linked within the S -locus. A series of small non-coding RNAs also encoded within the S -locus regulates the transcriptional activity of SCR alleles, resulting in a linear dominance hierarchy between them. In Brassicaceae, natural allopolyploid species are often self-compatible (SC) even when one of the progenitor species is self-incompatible, but the reason why polyploid lineages tend to lose self-incompatibility (SI) and the timing of the loss of SI (immediately after ancestral hybridization between the progenitor species, or at a later stage after the formation of allopolyploid lineages) have generally remained elusive. We used a series of synthetic diploid and tetraploid hybrids obtained between self-fertilizing Capsella orientalis and outcrossing Capsella grandiflora to test whether the breakdown of SI could be observed immediately after hybridization, and whether the occurrence of SC phenotypes could be explained by the dominance interactions between S -haplotypes inherited from the parental lineages. We used RNA-sequencing data from young inflorescences to measure allele-specific expression of the SCR gene and infer dominance interactions in the synthetic hybrids. We then evaluated the seed set from autonomous self-pollination in the synthetic hybrids. Our results demonstrate that self-compatibility of the hybrids depends on the relative dominance between S -alleles inherited from the parental species, confirming that SI can be lost instantaneously upon formation of the ancestral allopolyploid lineage. They also confirm that the epigenetic regulation that controls dominance interactions between S -alleles can function between subgenomes in allopolyploids. Together, our results illustrate how a detailed knowledge of the mechanisms controlling SI can illuminate our understanding of the patterns of co-variation between the mating system and changes in ploidy. Overshoot and undershoot caused by the current load impact the accuracy of the required output voltage and circuit performance. The transient response issue in existing low-dropout (LDO) regulators is a dynamic specification that must be addressed at the design stage. This transient response is influenced by system parameters such as stability and gain. The LDO regulator suggested in this study is designed to minimize the change in output voltage by considerably enhancing the gain using a dynamic dual buffer structure. A dynamic dual buffer is utilized to effectively control undershoot and overshoot. Under the conditions that the input voltage range is from 3.3 to 4.5 V, the maximum load current is 300 mA, the output voltage is 3 V, and the output of the proposed LDO regulator with the dynamic dual buffer structure has undershoot and overshoot voltages of 41 mV and 31 mV, respectively. That is, the output voltage of the proposed LDO regulator effectively provided and discharged an additional current suited for the undershoot/overshoot conditions to enhance the transient response characteristics. Furthermore, the electrostatic discharge (ESD) robustness characteristics of the proposed LDO regulator improved because of the silicon-controlled rectifier underlying the ESD protection device embedded in the output node and power line. Most Escherichia coli isolates from humans do not utilize D-sucrose as a substrate for fermentation or growth. Previous work has shown that the Csc pathway allows some E. coli to utilize sucrose for slow growth, and this pathway has been engineered in E. coli W strains to enhance use of sucrose as a feedstock for industrial applications. An alternative sucrose utilization pathway, Scr, was first identified in Klebsiella pneumoniae and has been reported in some E. coli and Salmonella enterica isolates. We show here that the Scr pathway is native to an important subset of E. coli phylogroup B2 lineages that lack the Csc pathway but grow rapidly on sucrose. Laboratory E. coli strains derived from MG1655 (phylogroup A, ST10) are unable to utilize sucrose and lack the scr and csc genes, but a recombinant plasmid-borne scr locus enables rapid growth on and fermentation of sucrose. Genome analyses of Enterobacteriaceae indicate that the scr locus is widespread in other Enterobacteriaceae; including Enterobacter and Klebsiella species, and some Citrobacter and Proteus species. In contrast, the Csc pathway is limited mostly to E. coli, some Shigella species (in which csc loci are rendered non-functional by various mutations), and Citrobacter freundii. The more efficient Scr pathway likely has greater potential than the Csc pathway for bioindustrial applications of E. coli and other Enterobacteriaceae using sucrose as a feedstock. Artificial corner reflectors are widely used in the vegetated landslide for time series InSAR monitoring due to their permanent scattering features. This paper investigated the RCS features of a novel dihedral CR under multi-resource SAR datasets. An RCS reduction model for the novel dihedral corner reflector has been proposed to evaluate the energy loss caused by the deviation between the SAR incident angle and the CR's axis. On the Huangtupo slope, Badong county, Hubei province, tens of dihedral CRs had been installed and the TSX–spotlight and Sentinel-TOPS data had been collected. Based on the observation results of CRs with more than ten deviation angles, the proposed reduction model was tested with preferable consistency under a real dataset, while 2 dBsm of systematic bias was verified in those datasets. The maximum incident angle deviation in the Sentinel data overlapping area is over 12°, which leads to a 2.4 dBsm RCS decrease for horizontally placed dihedral CRs estimated by the proposed model, which has also been testified by the observed results. The testing results from the Sentinel data show that in high, vegetation-covered mountain areas like the Huangtupo slope, the dihedral CRs with a 0.4 m slide length can be achieve 1 mm precision accuracy, while a side length of 0.2 m can achieve the same accuracy under TSX–spotlight data. Emotional involvement is known to be necessary but not sufficient for good decision making in the face of uncertainty. It has been conjectured that emotional engagement in anticipation of risky outcomes constitutes "good" emotions. We introduce a new methodology to determine whether anticipatory emotional engagement is beneficial in the context of trading in financial markets. We focus on heart rate changes because they occur at a sufficiently high frequency to discern timing relative to events in the marketplace. After conservatively adjusting for multiple hypothesis testing, we find that participants whose heart rate changes anticipate their order submissions at inflated prices earn significantly more, whereas participants whose heart rate responds to their trades earn significantly less. By investigating cointegration between skin conductance response and the dynamics of individual portfolio values, we confirm the importance of emotional involvement in determining who makes or loses money. In this paper, a detailed mechanism is discussed for two processes: deNOx and deN2O. An FAU catalyst was used for the reaction with Cu-Fe bimetallic adsorbates represented by a dimer with bridged oxygen. Partial hydration of the metal centres in the dimer was considered. Ab initio calculations based on the density functional theory were used. The electron parameters of the structures obtained were also analysed. Visualisation of the orbitals of selected structures and their interpretations are presented. The presented research allowed a closer look at the mechanisms of processes that are very common in the automotive and chemical industries. Based on theoretical modelling, it was possible to propose the most efficient catalyst that could find potential application in industry–this is the FAU catalyst with a Cu-O-Fe bimetallic dimer with a hydrated copper centre. The essential result of our research is the improvement in the energetics of the reaction mechanism by the presence of an OH group, which will influence the way NO and NH3 molecules react with each other in the deNOx process depending on the industrial conditions of the process. Attention helps us to be aware of the external world, and this may be especially important when a threat stimulus predicts an aversive outcome. Electroencephalogram (EEG) alpha-band suppression has long been considered as a neural signature of attentional engagement. The present study was designed to test whether attentional engagement, as indexed by alpha-band suppression, is increased in a sustained manner following a conditioned stimulus (CS) that is paired with an aversive (CS+) vs neutral (CS-) outcome. We tested 70 healthy young adults in aversive conditioning and extinction paradigms. One of three colored circles served as the CS+, which was paired in 50% of the trials with a noise burst (unconditioned stimulus, US). The other colored circles (CS-) were never paired with the US. For conditioning, we found greater alpha-band suppression for the CS+ compared to the CS-; this suppression was sustained through the time of the predicted US. This effect was significantly reduced for extinction. These results indicate that conditioned threat stimuli trigger an increase in attentional engagement as subjects monitor the environment for the predicted aversive stimulus. Moreover, this alpha-band suppression effect may be valuable for future studies examining normal or pathological increases in attentional monitoring following threat stimuli.

Operando spectroscopy combines the in situ determination of material structure by spectroscopy/diffraction techniques with the measurement of material performance, which is conversion/selectivity in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. A central question in operando spectroscopy is whether the signatures visible by the characterization methods are responsible for catalyst performance. Individual analytical methods can provide useful information, but their combination (multi-technique approach) is essential to obtain a complete perspective on molecular reaction mechanisms. This approach must be coupled to experimental protocols and mathematical algorithms enabling the ability to disentangle the contribution of the active structure from the unresponsive one. Here, we report an account with examples from our own research activities in catalysis science.

Currently, in the semiconductor market, reliability response to Electro Static Discharge (ESD) situations is being discussed as an alternative to internal Integrated Circuit (IC) destruction. In this paper, the ESD protection circuit design integrated into the Low Drop Out (LDO) regulator presents an alternative to the reliability of the internal IC. Additionally, the LDO regulator proposed in this paper is designed to minimize output voltage changes by significantly improving gain using a high gain buffer structure. Undershoot and overshoot were effectively regulated by utilizing a high gain buffer. Under the conditions of an input voltage range of 3.3–4.5 V, a maximum load current of 400 mA, and an output voltage of 3 V, the output of the proposed LDO regulator with a high gain buffer structure kept at the undershoot and overshoot voltages of 32 mV and 36 mV, respectively. In addition, the ESD protection circuit used so far was designed with only a single diode, but the proposed ESD protection circuit is a new structure designed based on Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR). The proposed ESD protection circuit has an incomparable area efficiency compared to diodes.

Short-rotation crop (SRC) systems with woody species have been planted in Costa Rica. However, information about different tree species and spacing is limited. The objective of the present study was to examine biomass production and the physical, energy, and chemical properties of feedstock of four tropical tree species (Cordia alliodora, Dipteryx panamensis, Gmelina arborea, and Tectona grandis) in 34-month-old plants planted at four spacings (0.5x1.0 m, 1.0x1.0 m, 1.0x2.0 m, and 2.0x2.0 m). The highest mortality rate (50%) was found in G. arborea; however, diameter, height, basal area, and biomass production in G. arborea plantations were higher than T. grandis, C. alliodora, and D. panamensis. Spacing effects on diameter, height, basal area, and biomass production were observed in 10-month-olds. Wide spacing presented the highest values in diameter and height, but the highest biomass production was found in the narrow spacing. Also, biomass distribution was different in D. panamensis in relation to other species. Specify gravity, density, and moisture content of biomass showed high variation between species and spacing, but the energy and chemical properties of biomass showed few differences. These results suggest that these four species were uniform in terms of their energy and chemical properties, regardless of the spacing used. Finally, three species (G. arborea, C. alliodora, and T. grandis) presented important potential for use in SRC systems. G. arborea was the species with the highest production but a high mortality rate.

The upcoming Euro 7 regulation for Heavy-Duty (HD) vehicles is calling for a further tightening of the Solid Particle Number (SPN) emissions by means of both lowering the applicable limits and shifting the lowest detectable size from 23 nm (SPN23) to 10 nm (SPN10). A late-technology diesel HD truck was tested on a chassis dynamometer in order to assess the necessary particle filtration requirements for a continuously regenerating system. The study showed that passive regeneration under real-world operating conditions can lead to a significant release of SPN10 particles from the current technology Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) when soot-loaded, even exceeding the currently applicable emission limits. The actual emissions during passive regeneration and following the clean-up of the DPF exceeded the proposed Euro 7 limits by more than an order of magnitude. A prototype DPF, exhibiting a 99% filtration efficiency when clean, was shown to effectively control SPN10 emissions under both operating conditions. The shift to SPN10 also necessitates control of nanoparticles forming inside the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, which for the tested truck exceeded the proposed (hot) limit by up to 56%. A dedicated particle filter specifically designed to capture these particles was also evaluated, showing a better than 60% efficiency. The key message of this study is that SPN emissions can be kept at low levels under all conditions.

Purpose – The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic generated a worldwide financial crisis by impacting several links of the supply chain, however companies can take advantage by quantitatively measuring the disruptive impacts. Design/methodology/approach – This study sought to develop the failure mode and effect analysis and supply chain resilience (FMEA-SCR), a hybrid tool developed using a potential failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) applied to supply chain resilience (SCR) and taking into account the capability factors and business processes. Findings – In order to validate, the proposed model was applied into two different organizational study cases: an university and a cooperative managing urban solid wastes with recyclable potential (MSWRP). Through the procedures described here any organization can understand and assess in a simplified way the impacts over their supply chain generated by such a crisis. Originality/value – This study synthesizes three different procedures into a single method called FMEA-SCR, allowing organizations to understand and assess in a simplified way, the impacts over their supply chain generated by COVID-19. To this end, it brought together the studies developed by Rajesh and Ravi (2015) and Curkovic et al. (2015), on possible causes of disruptions in SC, the capability factors of Pettit et al. (2010) used by organizations to mitigate the effects of disruptions, besides Lambert's and Croxton (2005) business processes, thus weaving a method that allows organizations to visualize, analyze and classify the pandemic impacts over their supply chain.

In order to meet the increasing pollutants discharge standard, the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) module in the diesel engine after-treatment system is an important means to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. SCR systems are prone to urea crystallization at lower temperatures, especially during the cold-start conditions of diesel engines. In this study, we use the diesel engine after-treatment system test bench to obtain the boundary parameter of the simulation modules, and the urea crystallization risk assessment model of the diesel SCR system is established. Comparing the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results with the test bench results, it is shown that the predicted urea film distribution of the assessment model is in good agreement with the experimental results. In order to clarify the various factors that affect the urea crystallization risk, this paper conducts a simulation analysis on a nozzle and mixer structure and operating parameters. The CFD results indicate that the increase in urea spray time will increase the maximum urea film thickness on the SCR system mixer surface. Exhaust temperature is the most important influencing factor. When the diesel engine exhaust temperature increases from 190 °C to 300 °C, the maximum urea film thickness decreases by 32 and the urea film mass accumulation decreases by 5%. Exhaust flow has a small impact on urea crystallization risk. When the exhaust flow increases from 300 kg/h to 600 kg/h, the maximum urea film thickness decreases by 39% and the urea film mass accumulation decreases by about 1%. In addition, urea spray rate, nozzle numbers, spray angle, and spray cone angle are also factors that affect urea crystallization risk. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A heavy-duty engine is homologated in a test cell. However, starting with Euro VI regulation, the in-service conformity is controlled with the engine installed in the vehicle using portable emission measurement systems (PEMS). In Europe, the application of solid particle number (SPN) PEMS started in 2021 for compression ignition (diesel) vehicles and in 2023 for positive ignition vehicles, thus including those operating with compressed natural gas (CNG). Even though today only particles with sizes > 23 nm are regulated, the Euro 7 proposal includes particles > 10 nm. There are not many studies on the accuracy of the SPN PEMS, especially for heavy-duty applications. In this study, PEMS measuring > 23 and >10 nm from two instrument manufacturers were compared with laboratory-grade instruments. The particle detector of one PEMS was a condensation particle counter (CPC), and of the other a the diffusion charger (DC). The results showed the robustness and good accuracy (40% or 1 × 1011 #/kWh) of the PEMS for ambient temperatures from −7 °C to 35 °C, active regeneration events, different fuels (Diesel B7, HVO, and CNG), different test cycles, cold start or hot engine operations, and high exhaust gas humidity content. Nevertheless, for the DC-based PEMS, sensitivity to pre-charged urea particles was identified, and for the CPC-based PEMS, sensitivity to pressure changes with one vehicle was nnoticed. The objective of the present study was to examine biomass production and the physical, energy, and chemical properties of feedstock of four tropical tree species (Cordia alliodora, Dipteryx panamensis, Gmelina arborea, and Tectona grandis) in 34-month-old plants planted at four spacings (0.5x1.0 m, 1.0x1.0 m, 1.0x2.0 m, and 2.0x2.0 m). The highest mortality rate (50%) was found in G. arborea; however, diameter, height, basal area, and biomass production in G. arborea plantations were higher than T. grandis, C. alliodora, and D. panamensis. Spacing effects on diameter, height, basal area, and biomass production were observed in 10-month-olds. Wide spacing presented the highest values in diameter and height, but the highest biomass production was found in the narrow spacing. Also, biomass distribution was different in D. panamensis in relation to other species. Specify gravity, density, and moisture content of biomass showed high variation between species and spacing, but the energy and chemical properties of biomass showed few differences. These results suggest that these four species were uniform in terms of their energy and chemical properties, regardless of the spacing used. Finally, three species (G. arborea, C. alliodora, and T. grandis) presented important potential for use in SRC systems. Objective: To identify the association between the changes in intestinal microflora and renal function in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods: This retrospective case-control study included 50 patients with CRF (study group), admitted to the Clinical Laboratory Department of Shenzhen People’s Hospital from March 2021 to May 2022, and 50 healthy individuals (control group). The association between the distribution of intestinal microflora and the glomerular filtration rate (GFR), levels of serum creatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and serum cystatin C (CysC) were analyzed. Results: Intestinal microflora of CRF patients had significantly higher levels of Enterococci compared to the control group (p-Value <0.05), while the levels of Bifidobacterium spp. and Escherichia coli were lower in the study group (p-Value <0.05). GFR was lower, and the levels of BUN, SCr, and CysC were higher in the study group compared to the control group (all p-Value <0.05). GFR, BUN, SCr and CysC levels in the study group negatively correlated with the levels of Bifidobacterium spp. and Lactobacillus spp. (r<0, P<0.05), and positively correlated with the abundance of Enterococcus spp. and Escherichia coli (r>0, P<0.05) in the intestinal microflora. Conclusions: Changes in intestinal microbiota are associated with a significant decrease in GFR and a marked increase in serum levels of renal function indicators, and alterations in the balance of intestinal microbiota may lead to further aggravation of the renal function damage in patients with CRF. To achieve diesel engine ultra-low nitrogen oxide emission, light-off selective catalyst reduction (LO-SCR) has been suggested for better performance with lower exhaust temperature. An electric heater upstream of the exhaust aftertreatment system was applied to significantly decrease the NOx emission at a low exhaust temperature. With a 7.2 kW electric heater coupled with LO-SCR, the NOx emission during 200~500 s of the world harmonized transient cycle (WHTC) decreased from 282.6 ppm to 61.5 ppm, which is a decrease of 45%. Application of an upstream diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) decreased the NOx emission by 63% at the same interval at the cost of worse cold-start performance. This study endeavors to enhance the operational efficiency of extant coal-fired power plants to mitigate the adverse environmental impact intrinsic to the prevalent utilization of coal-fired power generation, which is particularly dominant in China. It focuses on the assessment and optimization of continuous denitrification systems tailored for a 1000 MW ultra-supercritical pulverized coal boiler. The extant denitrification framework encounters challenges during startup phases owing to diminished selective catalytic reduction (SCR) inlet flue gas temperatures. To ameliorate this, three retrofit schemes were scrutinized: direct mixing of high-temperature flue gas, bypass flue gas mixing, and high-temperature flue gas mixing with cold air. Each option underwent meticulous thermodynamic computations and comprehensive cost analyses. The findings elucidated that bypass flue gas mixing, involving the extraction and blending of high-temperature flue gas, emerged as the most financially prudent and practical recourse. This scheme optimizes fuel combustion heat utilization, significantly curtails fuel consumption, and fosters efficient internal heat transfer mechanisms within the boiler. The evaluation process meticulously considered safety parameters and equipment longevity. The present paper investigates two different strategies for model-based calibration and control of tailpipe nitrogen oxide emissions in a light-duty 3.0 L diesel engine equipped with an aftertreatment system (ATS). The latter includes a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), a diesel particulate filter (DPF), and an underfloor selective catalytic reduction (SCR) device, in which the injection of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), marketed as 'AdBlue', is also taken into account. The engine was modeled in the GT-SUITE environment, and a previously developed model-based combustion controller was integrated in the model, which is capable of adjusting the start of injection of the main pulse and the total injected fuel mass, in order to achieve desired targets of engine-out nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx) and brake mean effective pressure (BMEP). First, a model-based calibration strategy consisting of the minimization of an objective function that takes into account fuel consumption and AdBlue injection was developed and assessed by exploring different weight factors. Then, a direct model-based controller of tailpipe nitrogen oxide emissions was designed, which exploits the real-time value of the SCR efficiency to define engine-out NOx emission targets for the combustion controller. Both strategies exploit the model-based combustion controller and were tested through a Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) under steady-state and transient conditions. The upcoming Euro 7 regulation for Heavy-Duty (HD) vehicles is calling for a further tightening of the Solid Particle Number (SPN) emissions by means of both lowering the applicable limits and shifting the lowest detectable size from 23 nm (SPN23) to 10 nm (SPN10). A late-technology diesel HD truck was tested on a chassis dynamometer in order to assess the necessary particle filtration requirements for a continuously regenerating system. The study showed that passive regeneration under real-world operating conditions can lead to a significant release of SPN10 particles from the current technology Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) when soot-loaded, even exceeding the currently applicable emission limits. The actual emissions during passive regeneration and following the clean-up of the DPF exceeded the proposed Euro 7 limits by more than an order of magnitude. A prototype DPF, exhibiting a 99% filtration efficiency when clean, was shown to effectively control SPN10 emissions under both operating conditions. The shift to SPN10 also necessitates control of nanoparticles forming inside the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, which for the tested truck exceeded the proposed (hot) limit by up to 56%. A dedicated particle filter specifically designed to capture these particles was also evaluated, showing a better than 60% efficiency. Günümüzde artan dünya nüfusu ile birlikte içten yanmalı motora sahip taşıtların sayıda artmaktadır. Bu nedenle taşıt egzoz emisyonu kaynaklı kirleticilerin oranı da artmaktadır. Bu zararlı emisyonların oluşturduğu çevre ve hava kirliliğinin azaltılması ve emisyon sınırlandırılması kapsamındaki normlara uyulması için, yanma sonrası emisyon kontrol sistemlerinin geliştirilmesi konularında çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Bu kapsamda dizel motorlu araçlarda NOx emisyonlarını azaltmak için, ADblue katkı maddesi (amonyak) ve Seçici Katalitik Redüksiyon (SCR) sistemleri kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. ADblue katkı maddesinin SCR sistemlerinde daha iyi karışması ve iyi sonuç alınması için üre mikseri kullanılmaktadır. Egzoz sistemlerinde geri basıncın yüksek olması, performansı olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle SCR sistemlerinde kullanılan mikserlerin oluşturacağı geri basıncın düşük olması ve SCR sisteminin efektif çalışabilmesi için amonyak (NH3) homojenlik indeks (UI NH3) değerinin yüksek olması gerekmektedir. Üre mikserlerinin kanat sayısı, kanat açısı ve kanat uzunluğu karışım oranına etki eden parametrelerdir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle 27 farklı mikserin, geri basınca ve UI NH3’ e olan etkileri sayısal analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Parametrik çalışma için kanat uzunlukları, kanat açıları ve kanat sayıları değiştirilerek sonuçlar incelenmiştir. Optimum mikser tasarımı için, geri basıncın 1 kPa’dan düşük olması ve UI NH3 değerinin 0,85’ ten yüksek olması hedeflenmiştir. 27 farklı mikser içinden, bu değerleri sağlayan 6 mikser prototip olarak imal edilmiş ve deneysel olarak geri basınç testleri ve UI NH3 ölçümleri yapılarak sonuçlar doğrulanmıştır. Kanat sayısı ve uzunluğunun geri basıncı arttırdığı, ancak UI NH3 değerine etkisinin olmadığı görülmüştür.

Artificial corner reflectors are widely used in the vegetated landslide for time series InSAR monitoring due to their permanent scattering features. This paper investigated the RCS features of a novel dihedral CR under multi-resource SAR datasets. An RCS reduction model for the novel dihedral corner reflector has been proposed to evaluate the energy loss caused by the deviation between the SAR incident angle and the CR’s axis. On the Huangtupo slope, Badong county, Hubei province, tens of dihedral CRs had been installed and the TSX–spotlight and Sentinel-TOPS data had been collected. Based on the observation results of CRs with more than ten deviation angles, the proposed reduction model was tested with preferable consistency under a real dataset, while 2 dBsm of systematic bias was verified in those datasets. The maximum incident angle deviation in the Sentinel data overlapping area is over 12°, which leads to a 2.4 dBsm RCS decrease for horizontally placed dihedral CRs estimated by the proposed model, which has also been testified by the observed results. The testing results from the Sentinel data show that in high, vegetation-covered mountain areas like the Huangtupo slope, the dihedral CRs with a 0.4 m slide length can be achieve 1 mm precision accuracy, while a side length of 0.2 m can achieve the same accuracy under TSX–spotlight data.

In this paper, a detailed mechanism is discussed for two processes: deNOx and deN2O. An FAU catalyst was used for the reaction with Cu-Fe bimetallic adsorbates represented by a dimer with bridged oxygen. Partial hydration of the metal centres in the dimer was considered. Ab initio calculations based on the density functional theory were used. The electron parameters of the structures obtained were also analysed. Visualisation of the orbitals of selected structures and their interpretations are presented. The presented research allowed a closer look at the mechanisms of processes that are very common in the automotive and chemical industries. Based on theoretical modelling, it was possible to propose the most efficient catalyst that could find potential application in industry–this is the FAU catalyst with a Cu-O-Fe bimetallic dimer with a hydrated copper centre. The essential result of our research is the improvement in the energetics of the reaction mechanism by the presence of an OH group, which will influence the way NO and NH3 molecules react with each other in the deNOx process depending on the industrial conditions of the process. Our theoretical results suggest also how to proceed with the dosage of NO and N2O during the industrial process to increase the desired reaction effect.

This study investigated the impact of metal doping on the DeNOx and anti-poisoning performance of MnOx/m-ZrO2. The DeNOx performance increases from 96% to nearly 100% by Co or Sm doping. However, the anti-poisoning performance was enhanced more by Sm doping, and the DeNOx performance remained at 90.97% after water and sulfur compound poisoning. The improved redox performance caused by the interaction between Sm and Mn resulted in more acidic sites that aid in the adsorption of NOx and NH3, and the presence of Sm effectively inhibits the formation of sulfate and ammonium sulfate, thus enhancing the DeNOx and anti-poisoning performance.

Reliable estimates of population density are fundamental for managing and conserving wildlife. Spatially explicit capture–recapture (SECR) models in combination with information‐theoretic model selection criteria are frequently used to estimate population density. Variation in density and detectability is inevitable and, when unmodeled, can lead to erroneous estimates. Despite this knowledge, the performance of SECR models and information‐theoretic criteria remain relatively untested for populations with realistic levels of variation in density and detectability. We addressed this issue using simulations of American black bear (Ursus americanus) populations with variable density and detectability between sexes and across study areas. We first assessed the reliability of Akaike information criterion adjusted for small sample sizes (AICc) to correctly identify the true data generating model or a good approximating model. We then assessed the bias, accuracy, and precision of density estimates when such a model was selected or not. We demonstrated that unmodeled heterogeneity in detection and, more importantly, density can lead to pronounced bias. However, when a good approximating model is included in the candidate set, models with lower AICc included important forms of variation and yielded accurate estimates. We encourage researchers and practitioners to consider the impact of unmodeled variation in SECR models when making inferences and to strive to include covariates likely to be the most influential based on the species biology and ecology in candidate model sets. Doing so can improve the robustness of wildlife density estimation methods that can be leveraged to make more sound conservation and management decisions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the present paper, the occurrence and development of the pseudo-desublimation process of AdBlue microdroplets in the microchannels and surfaces of catalytic reduction systems (SCR) are reported. In order to understand how the pseudo-desublimation process develops, the influence of heat flux values on the heat transfer of AdBlue injection was analysed, taking into account the structure of the microchannels inside the SCR and the overall configuration of the installation. The evolution of the AdBlue vapour flow in the SCR system was simulated, as well as the temperature variation along an SCR microchannel through which the mixture flows. An experimental set-up was designed in order to visualise and interpret the processes at the onset of pseudo-desublimation. The results described in this paper confirm the existence of a pseudo-desublimation process that occurs only under certain temperature conditions when AdBlue is injected into SCR systems. The characteristics of the crystals formed and their growth rate depend on the working temperature, which could be controlled by efficient preheating methods immediately after engine start. A better understanding of the process will allow the development of methods of avoiding solid depositions on SCR system components, which has a direct impact on SCR catalyst performance and durability. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) are an essential tool for the development of diesel engine aftertreatment systems using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to reduce nitrous oxides ( NO x ). In urea-based SCR, liquid urea–water solution (UWS) is injected into the hot exhaust gas, where it transforms into gaseous ammonia. This ammonia serves as a reducing agent for NO x . CFD simulations are used to predict the ammonia distribution in the exhaust gas at the catalyst inlet. The goal is to achieve the highest possible uniformity to realize homogeneous NO x reduction across the catalyst cross section. The current work focuses on the interaction of UWS droplets with the hot walls of the exhaust system. This is a crucial part of the preparation of gaseous ammonia from the injected liquid UWS. Following experimental investigations, a new impingement model is described based on the superposition of four basic impingement behaviors, each featuring individual secondary droplet characteristics. The droplet–wall heat transfer, depending on surface temperature and impingement behavior, is also calculated using a newly parameterized model. Applying the presented approach, the cooling of a steel plate from intermittent spray impingement is simulated and compared to measurements. The second validation case is the distribution of ammonia at the catalyst inlet of an automotive SCR system. Both applications show good agreement and demonstrate the quality of the new model. The present paper intends to provide an analysis of how the process of calefaction occurs in a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system and the mechanisms by which the deposition of AdBlue crystals on a hot surface evolve. Experimentally, two aluminium samples heated to 200 °C were used, over which AdBlue droplets with different atomisation rates were dropped, maintaining the same dynamic flow parameters, in order to observe the influence of temperature effects on the degree of deposition of crystallised sediment on the surface. The authors proposed the use of calefaction in an ultrasonic environment to prevent deposition and to increase droplet fragmentation by a break-up process. To prove the performance of this method one sample was subjected to a normal flow regime while a second sample was exposed to ultrasound. Both samples were assembled on a magneto-strictive concentrator operating at a frequency of 20 kHz. The obtained results indicated that the sample exposed to ultrasound demonstrated lower urea crystallisation compared to the sample that was not exposed to this treatment. Thus, it can be seen that the proposed method of injecting AdBlue into an ultrasonic zone gives the desired results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The following research presents a numerical evaluation of existing and conceptual urea-mixing devices used in close-coupled (to the engine) selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. The analysis was aimed at the assessment of urea-mixing devices that could considerably enhance the reduction of nitrogen oxides from the diesel-engine combustion process under a wide range of operating conditions, including cold starts. The analysis showed that replacing blade-equipped static mixers with perforated stationary mixing devices may provide a more uniform spatial distribution of ammonia at the inlet to the SCR catalyst and reduce pressure drops generated by mixing devices. Moreover, the conceptual mixing devices, based on combinations of the blade and perforated mixers to develop intensive turbulence, enabled the increase of the mixing length leading to effective decomposition of the urea-water solution (UWS), and provided uniform spatial distribution of ammonia, even for the small-sized mixing systems. However, the intensive mixing was often associated with a significant rise in the pressure drop.

Thallium (Tl) compounds, highly toxic to biology, are usually released into flue gas during fossil/minerals combustion, and further distributed in water and soil. In this work, we fundamentally investigated the capture of gaseous Tl2O by industrial V2O5–WO3/TiO2 catalyst under working condition in Tl-containing flue gas. Experimental and theoretical results indicated that the Tl2O has significant electron-feeding capacity and easily donate electron to unoccupied orbitals of TiO2, leading to dismutation of Ti 2p and inartificial formation of p–n junction on TiO2 surface, which prompted Tl2O selectively interacted with TiO2 in flue gas. Herein, we proposed and verified an effective way to capture gaseous Tl2O, which offered almost the best choice to eliminate Tl emission from flue gas and expanded the function of the TiO2-based catalyst. The formation of p–n junction on commercial V2O5–WO3/TiO2 catalyst under working condition was revealed for the first time, which can be a valuable reference for both heterocatalysis and electro/photocatalysis.

A Periodic Technical Inspection (PTI) of vehicles promotes road safety and environmental protection. Indeed, a PTI is also used to verify the proper functioning of the vehicle's aftertreatment system (ATS) over its lifetime. While the current Directive 2014/45/EU, which covers the PTI, does not require a NOx emissions measurement, the ongoing revision of the roadworthiness package aims at including new methods for measuring exhaust NOx and particle number (PN) emissions. PTI tests are required to be simple, quick, inexpensive and effective. In this study, a new methodology for a NOx measurement during the PTIs of Diesel vehicles equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit is assed. Seven Euro 6 light-duty Diesel vehicles fulfilling post-Real Driving Emissions (RDE) regulations were tested. The NOx-PTI methodology consists of measuring NOx emissions from the vehicle tailpipe at engine low idle speed after properly conditioning the vehicle ATS. In such conditions, a well-functioning SCR unit reduced NOx emissions and the methodology proved to be suitable to discriminate between functioning and malfunctioning SCR systems. Due to the usage of off-road engines for a variety of applications, the contributions of their emission levels also increased, as do those of on-road engines. Therefore, the need for offroad engine emission reduction is essential. To overcome the aforementioned concern, it is a must to have clean diesel technologies such as Fuel Injection Equipment (FIE), Turbocharger with Intercooler (TCIC), Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (C-EGR), and after-treatment systems like Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). In this paper, during the conversion of a 15 kW naturally aspirated engine to a 27 kW TCIC engine, the after-treatment system configurations and their influence on emission reduction performance to meet the upcoming diesel engine emission norms are studied. Initially, emission testing is carried out with the DOC catalyst for three different Pt catalyst configurations. Following the testing, a 1.0-liter DOC with a catalyst loading of 1 g/cuft is selected. Furthermore, using the selected DOC specifications, the performance of 4.7-liter DPF volume with Pt catalyst and 3.7-liter SCR specifications with Zeolite catalyst is studied using GT-SUIT software simulation. The maximum soot mass limit of 8 gm is simulated for the selected 4.7-liter DPF based on this simulation study. Further, in order to improve DPF inlet gas temperature for soot regeneration, an advanced Nanox (7% YPSZ) coating is applied to the DOC outer shell (Nanox top coat layer of460-480 microns) and tested, for heat retention performance with coating. Background: Arthroscopic superior capsule reconstruction (SCR), arthroscopic partial repair (PR), and arthroscopic debridement (DB) are valid treatment options for irreparable rotator cuff (RC) tears. Purpose/Hypothesis: The purpose of this study was to compare clinical, functional, and radiological outcomes of arthroscopic SCR with arthroscopic PR and arthroscopic DB in patients with irreparable posterosuperior RC tears. It was hypothesized that SCR would lead to superior clinical and functional outcomes compared with PR or DB. Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3. Methods: Clinical and functional outcomes of this single-center retrospective study included range of motion, strength, and the age- and sex-adjusted Constant-Murley score. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) involved the quick Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand score, the Subjective Shoulder Value, and the visual analog scale for pain. Graft and repaired tendon integrity was evaluated by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at 12 months of follow-up. Results: In total, 57 patients treated with SCR (n = 20), PR (n = 17), and DB (n = 20) were included. The mean clinical follow-up was 33.8 ± 17.9 months. Preoperative clinical and functional characteristics were comparable among the 3 groups. The range of motion and clinical and functional scores of all 3 groups significantly improved from pre- to postoperatively. Postoperative PROMs showed no differences among all 3 study groups. SCR revealed significantly higher postoperative strength compared with PR (P =.001) and DB (P =.004). Postoperative MRI revealed a rerupture in 4 patients with SCR (20%). Postoperative MRI showed a rerupture in 9 patients with PR (53%). Fatty muscle infiltration of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus significantly progressed within all 3 study groups in postoperative MRI scans. No clinical and functional differences were observed between intact and reruptured PR. The understanding of impingement processes is crucial for optimizing automotive selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. An accurate description of this behavior helps design exhaust systems and increases the validity of modeling approaches. A component test bench was set up, featuring a droplet chain generator for producing droplet sizes typically found in the urea–water solution sprays of SCR systems. A heatable impingement plate with an interchangeable surface enabled investigation of the influence of surface roughness. Data were acquired using a high-speed camera and image postprocessing. The droplet–wall interaction could be described using different regimes. An approach to characterizing impingement behavior based on weighted-regime superposition enabled gradual transitions between regimes, instead of step-like changes. It was observed that the surface roughness increased the droplet–solid contact area and generated thermal-induced secondary droplets at lower temperatures. A region of enhanced mechanical disintegration of the droplet was found, caused by peaks of the surface shearing off parts of the droplet. The probability of a droplet rebounding from the wall was reduced on a rough surface, due to the interference of the surface spikes with the droplet's spreading and contracting motion. Additionally, the influence of surface topography was investigated using a shot-peened surface. Caused by this surface's reduced root mean square slope, the aforementioned enhancement of mechanical disintegration was not observed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Two-stroke engines are distinguished by the highest overall efficiency among all main engines. This is not only due to the low speed, and large piston stroke, but also to the high combustion temperature, which result in an increase in nitrogen oxides (NO x ) emission. Technical solutions applied to bring main engines into compliance with current NO x emission standards set by the Tier III limits include the use of SCR and EGR systems, the implementation of the Otto cycle, and the application of liquified natural gas (LNG) as the low-emission fuel. Impact of the available Tier III-compliant technologies on the heat balance results is analysed using the example of the currently most popular dual-fuel main engines, i.e. WinGD X92DF and MAN G95ME-C10.5-GI. The possibilities of waste heat recovery in the electricity generation process and thereby improving the ship energy efficiency are discussed.

In this study, we construct an error estimate for a fully discrete finite element scheme that satisfies the criteria of unconditional energy stability, as suggested in [1]. Our theoretical findings, in more detail, demonstrate that this system has second-order accuracy in both space and time. Additionally, we offer a powerful space and time adaptable approach for solving the Cahn-Hilliard problem numerically based on the posterior error estimation. The major goal of this technique is to successfully lower the calculated cost by controlling the mesh size using a Superconvergent Cluster Recovery (SCR) approach in accordance with the error estimation. To demonstrate the effectiveness and stability of the suggested SCR-based algorithm, numerical results are provided.

The accurate quantification of transmission limit and grid strength of the multi-infeed LCC-HVDC （line-commutated converter technology-based high-voltage DC） and VSC-HVDC （voltage source converter technology-based high-voltage DC） systems has become one of the critical measures to ensure the stable operation of new power systems. Through the improvement of the grid strength quantification method of the traditional LCC-HVDC AC/DC systems， a short-circuit ratio （SCR） index for quantifying the grid strength of the hybrid DC infeed systems is proposed to analyze the transmission limit of the AC/DC systems. Firstly， a quasi-steady-state （QSS） model of the hybrid DC infeed systems is built under the flow equation. Secondly， the SCR index for evaluating the transmission limit of LCC-HVDC in the hybrid DC infeed systems is obtained by analysis of the relationship between the Jacobian matrix singularity and the power transmission limit of the DC infeed systems. The sensitivity relationship between the index threshold and the operation mode of the VSC-HVDC system is analyzed. Finally， the effectiveness of the SCR index is verified using PSCAD/EMTDC and MATLAB platform. The analysis results show that the VSC-HVDC system is superior in voltage support under the constant voltage control mode at the receiving end. The operation mode of the VSC-HVDC system that exerts less influence on the transmission limit of the LCC-HVDC system can be quantitatively analyzed by the proposed index.

While functional reconstruction of massive irreparable rotator cuff tears remains a challenge, current techniques aimed at recentering and preventing superior migration of the humeral head allow for clinical and biomechanical improvements in shoulder pain and function. Recentering of the glenohumeral joint reduces the moment arm and helps the deltoid to recruit more fibers, which compensates for insufficient rotator cuff function and reduces joint pressure. In the past, the concept of a superior capsular reconstruction with a patch secured by suture anchors has been used. However, several innovative arthroscopic treatment options have also been developed. The purpose of this article is to present an overview of new strategies and surgical techniques and if existing present initial clinical results. Techniques that will be covered include rerouting the long head of the biceps tendon, utilization of the biceps tendon as an autograft to reconstruct the superior capsule, utilization of a semitendinosus tendon allograft to reconstruct the superior capsule, superior capsular reconstruction with dermal allografts, and subacromial spacers.

A method is presented to study the decomposition of urea deposited on Cu/HZSM-5 SCR catalysts and therewith the ability of the Cu/HZSM-5 SCR catalyst to be regenerated when being overdosed with SCR urea fluids during operation. This straightforward laboratory method could speed up calibration of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems. As an example, the removal of adsorbed urea to the SCR substrate due to dosage malfunction is studied. To study the removal of adsorbed urea on the catalyst substrate, FTIR experiments have been conducted to investigate the state of the catalyst. Besides Cu/HZSM-5 also HZSM-5 and CuOx were studied as model compounds to provide more inside on the processes occurring at the Cu/HZSM-5 surface upon urea decomposition. To simulate exposure of the SCR catalyst to overdosing of the urea solution, samples were impregnated with a 32 wt% urea solution, which correlates to that of commercial heavy duty diesel urea solutions. After impregnation, the samples were heated at various temperatures in the 133–400 °C temperature region, typically the operation window of a SCR catalyst. After heating, the samples were cooled to room temperature and measured in FTIR. The obtained spectra were compared with various literature reports to correlate the observed absorption bands to urea, urea related compounds and decomposition compounds. The concentration of these adsorbed species decreases at increased thermolysis temperature and is no longer visible at temperatures >250 °C. Extended heat treatment at 200 °C revealed only minor loss of adsorbents after 6 h and were still observable in the FTIR spectra after 24 h. Urea derived adsorbents were completely removed when simulating catalyst regeneration under SCR operation conditions under continuous air flow with a humidity of 10% and at elevated temperatures (400 °C).

Precise spatiotemporal control of the timing and extent of asymmetric cell divisions (ACDs) is essential for plant development. In the Arabidopsis root, ground tissue maturation involves an additional ACD of the endodermis that maintains the inner cell layer as the endodermis and generates the middle cortex to the outside. Through regulation of the cell cycle regulator CYCLIND6;1 (CYCD6;1), the transcription factors SCARECROW (SCR) and SHORT-ROOT (SHR) play critical roles in this process. In the present study, we found that loss of function of NAC1 , a NAC transcription factor family gene, causes markedly increased periclinal cell divisions in the root endodermis. Importantly, NAC1 directly represses the transcription of CYCD6;1 by recruiting the co-repressor TOPLESS (TPL), creating a fine-tuned mechanism to maintain proper root ground tissue patterning by limiting production of middle cortex cells. Biochemical and genetic analyses further showed that NAC1 physically interacts with SCR and SHR to restrict excessive periclinal cell divisions in the endodermis during root middle cortex formation. Although NAC1–TPL is recruited to the CYCD6;1 promoter and represses its transcription in an SCR-dependent manner, NAC1 and SHR antagonize each other to regulate the expression of CYCD6;1. Collectively, our study provides mechanistic insights into how the NAC1–TPL module integrates with the master transcriptional regulators SCR and SHR to control root ground tissue patterning by fine-tuning spatiotemporal expression of CYCD6;1 in Arabidopsis. The SCR/SHR-CYCD6;1 module is essential for root ground tissue maturation. This study reveals that NAC1 restricts excessive periclinal cell divisions in root endodermis to control ground tissue maturation. Mechanistically, NAC1 interacts with TOPLESS and fine-tunes the expression of CYCD6;1 through coordination with SCR and SHR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
