Tomando como punto de partida algunhas das coplas froito das “recollidas” realizadas, e especialmente as que se atopan no Cancioneiro Popular Galego de Dorothé Schubarth e Antón Santamarina, afondaremos no papel destinado á muller dentro da música tradicional galega, así como nos instrumentos destinados de xeito hexemónico a elas, destacando os de percusión considerados como “menores”, tales como cunchas, culleres, pandeireta, pandeiro, etc. A maiores, teranse en conta os lugares de convivencia propios para o desempeño desta actividade musical: as típicas foliadas, festas, pero tamén os lugares de traballo, facendo especial fincapé nos cantos vinculados a actividades de labor. A música sempre estivo presente no día a día da sociedade e segue a desempeñar un papel relevante nos nosos días; por iso, finalmente, abordaremos a situación actual na que se atopa a música tradicional galega e algunhas novas propostas de incorporación de estilos, ritmos e instrumentos (que non son propiamente galegos) a este tipo de música., Tomando como punto de partida algunas de las coplas resultado de las “recollidas” realizadas, y especialmente las que se encuentran en el Cancioneiro Popular Galego de Dorothé Schubarth y Antón Santamarina, profundizaremos en el papel destinado a la mujer dentro de la música tradicional gallega, así como en los instrumentos destinados de forma hegemónica a ellas, destacando los de percusión considerados como “menores”, tales como conchas, cucharas, pandereta, pandero, etc. A mayores, se tendrán en cuenta los lugares de convivencia propios para el desempeño de esta actividad musical: las típicas foliadas, fiestas, pero también los lugares de trabajo, haciendo especial hincapié en los cantos vinculados a actividades de labor. La música siempre estuvo presente en el día a día de la sociedad y sigue desempeñando un papel relevante en nuestros días; por eso, finalmente, abordaremos la situación actual en la que se encuentra la música tradicional gallega y algunas nuevas propuestas de incorporación de estilos, ritmos e instrumentos (que no son propiamente gallegos) a este tipo de música., Taking as a starting point some of the couplets that result from the “recollidas” performed, and especially those found in the Cancioneiro Popular Galego by Dorothé Schubarth and Antón Santamarina, we will delve into the role of women in traditional Galician music, as well as the hegemonic instruments assigned to them, highlighting the percussions considered “minor” such as shells, spoons, the tambourine, etc. Furthermore, the proper places of coexistence for the performance of this musical activity will be taken into account: typical “foliadas”, parties, but also workplaces, with special emphasis on songs linked to labor activities. Music has always been present in the day-to-day of society and continues today to play an important role; for this reason, lastly, we will address the current situation in which traditional Galician music finds itself as well as propose the incorporation of some new styles, rhythms and instruments (that are not properly Galician) to this type of music.

Despite their clear lesser vulnerability to COVID-19, the extent by which children are susceptible to getting infected by SARS-CoV-2 and their capacity to transmit the infection to other people remains inadequately characterized. Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdown strategies have been widely used to contain SARS-CoV-2 virus spread. Children and adolescents are especially vulnerable to suffering psychological effects as result of such measures. In Spain, children were enforced to a strict home lockdown for 42 days during the first wave. Here, we studied the effects of lockdown in children and adolescents through an online questionnaire. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Spain using an open online survey from July (after the lockdown resulting from the first pandemic wave) to November 2020 (second wave). We included families with children under 16 years-old living in Spain. Parents answered a survey regarding the lockdown effects on their children and were instructed to invite their children from 7 to 16 years-old (mandatory scholar age in Spain) to respond a specific set of questions. Answers were collected through an application programming interface system, and data analysis was performed using R. Results: We included 1,957 families who completed the questionnaires, covering a total of 3,347 children. The specific children’s questionnaire was completed by 167 kids (7–11 years-old), and 100 adolescents (12–16 years-old). Children, in general, showed high resilience and capability to adapt to new situations. Sleeping problems were reported in more than half of the children (54%) and adolescents (59%), and these were strongly associated with less time doing sports and spending more than 5 h per day using electronic devices. Parents perceived their children to gain weight (41%), be more irritable and anxious (63%) and sadder (46%). Parents and children differed significantly when evaluating children’s sleeping disturbances. Conclusions: Enforced lockdown measures and isolation can have a negative impact on children and adolescent’s mental health and well-being.
