This article explores Quebec's recent transition from the "Ethics and Religious Culture" (ERC) program to the "Culture and Citizenship in Quebec" (CCQ) program, emphasizing the role of religious literacy in secular societies. We investigate the rationale behind the shift, and examine the ERC's focus on fostering understanding of diverse religious and ethical perspectives as well as CCQ's broader mandate to integrate cultural and civic education and its aim at the development of a shared and common public Quebecois culture. The case study highlights the pedagogical and societal implications of this change, discussing how the CCQ program aims to enhance civic engagement, cultural awareness, and social cohesion. Furthermore, the article identifies opportunities for educators to address pressing global challenges, such as polarization, reconciliation, and the climate crisis, within the new curriculum framework. By promoting critical thinking, inclusivity, and active citizenship, fostering religious literacy in such programs presents a unique opportunity for educators and youth to contribute to a more resilient and harmonious society. Growing concerns for loneliness, social isolation, and the health of young adults point to the importance of the dating context. This study aimed to identify and examine quality dating experience (QDE) and poor dating experience (PDE) relative to the well-being of religious college students identified as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including gender differences. Focus group (n = 58) and online survey (n = 515) participants came from introductory psychology courses at a large religious institution. A mixed-methods design was used to qualitatively identify quality and poor dating themes and then, using these themes, examine the dating experience using quantitative data from an online survey questionnaire. Focus group thematic analyses revealed patterns of gender similarity (e.g., compatibility, safety concerns, hyper-focus on marriage) and disparity (e.g., monetary value, date activity details) for both QDE and poor dating experience (PDE). Quantitative survey results highlighted substantial relationships between QDE, PDE, and wellness variables including mood, life satisfaction, depressive symptoms, anxiety, stress, loneliness, physical health symptoms, and perceived peer support. Interestingly, men had statistically stronger (p < .05) relationships between PDE and 3 health variables: depressive symptoms, peer support, and interpersonal conflict. This suggests that men may have more adverse health profiles than women when undergoing PDEs in a more traditional religious context. Results supported QDE and PDE as influential variables that go beyond the simple metric of dating frequency to capture a more comprehensive perspective of health among religious college students, including gender differences. Aim: This study was conducted to examine the mediating role of psychological resilience in the effect of strength of religious faith on coping with stress in people with type 2 diabetes. Design: This study has a cross‐sectional descriptive‐analytical study. Methods: It was conducted with 184 people with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to a family health centre in Erzurum, the east of Turkey. The data were collected by using the 'Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire', 'Brief Resilience Scale (BRS)' and 'Scale of Ways of Coping With Stress (SWCS)'. The study was reported by following the STROBE recommendations. Structural equation modelling and bootstrapping method were used to analyse the data. This study was reported following the STROBE recommendations. Results: In the study, according to the model, the direct effect of strength of religious faith on SWCS (β = 0.564; p < 0.01) and BRS (β = 0.545; p < 0.01) was moderate, positive and significant. In addition, the effect of resilience on coping with stress (β = 0.320; p < 0.01) was also found to be moderate, positive and significant. The total effect of strength of religious faith on coping with stress mediated by resilience (β = 0.738; p < 0.01) was found to be highly positive and significant. The model explains 61.7% of the variance in coping with stress. Fit index values according to the model were found as χ2 = 2368.02, df: 980, χ2/df 2.368, RMSEA 0.088, CFI 0.773, TLI 0.760 and SRMR 0.083. It was found that strength of religious faith had a positive effect on coping with stress in people with type‐2 diabetes, and this effect was strengthened by the mediating role of psychological resilience. Patient or Public Contribution: This study shows the effect of religious belief and psychological resilience in increasing the coping skills of people with type‐2 diabetes. Abstract Background Sierra Leone is a religiously diverse country, with Christianity and Islam being the dominant faiths. This religious landscape plays a significant role in shaping attitudes towards family planning and contraceptives. We examined religious leaders’ knowledge of family planning and modern contraceptive methods. Methods In September 2021, data was collected from 116 religious leaders in Sierra Leone, including 32 Muslims and 84 Christians from nine different denominations from sixteen districts, through 16 focus group discussions. The data was subjected to a thematic analysis using NVIVO 12 software. Results The study found a spectrum of opinions among religious leaders, both between religions (Christianity vs. Islam) and within denominations of Christianity. There was a general acceptance of natural birth spacing methods, like abstinence during fertile periods, across both Christian and Muslim leaders. Views on modern contraceptives were more divided. Catholics generally opposed them, citing religious doctrines against interfering with procreation. Pentecostals and some Muslims, however, found them permissible under certain circumstances, like promoting family well-being or spacing births for health reasons. Conclusion The study reveals that religious leaders’ views on family planning in Sierra Leone are multifaceted. Understanding these nuances is crucial for designing effective family planning programs. By working with denominations that are more accepting of modern methods and leveraging the support for natural birth spacing methods across religions, there’s potential to improve reproductive health outcomes in Sierra Leone.

Religious tourism is one of the oldest forms of mobility for travel. This study aims at validating the motivational dimensions of demand in religious tourism. The present research was carried out with tourists who had attended the pilgrimage of the Virgin of Montserrat in the city of Montecristi (Ecuador), an important tourist destination that stands out for its culture and intangible heritage. This quantitative study had a sample of 298 valid questionnaires that were analyzed through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The results identified five motivational dimensions: experience belief, experience religion, social exploration, escape, and shopping. The results will serve as a guide for private companies to develop products from religious tourism. Likewise, the research contributes significantly to the academic literature on religious tourism in emerging destinations.

The life cycle of disinformation begins with its ordering and ends with its acceptance or rejection by the target consumer, the target object. In this context, the types of disinformation that take the form of simple disinformation, or it is a narrative/narrative/theme, as well as news legends, which can take the form of an active influence measure, and the issue of the creator of disinformation, including the technical implementation of disinformation, are elaborated

Pesantren has an important role in developing the education world and providing solutions to current educational problems. This study aims to examine the campursari educational model and its process in shaping nationalist-religious character in Pesantren. The study uses a descriptive method with purposive sampling and interactive model analysis. The results show that Pesantren Ngalah Pasuruan has a campursari educational model that integrates formal, non-formal, and informal education. The campursari educational process in this pesantren involves the integration of religious and cultural values, the development of creativity and critical thinking, and the empowerment of local culture. The campursari model in Pesantren includes the integration of religious education with local cultural values, a curriculum with a campursari approach, the development of inclusive materials, the empowerment of local culture, and the strengthening of religious values through interfaith activities. The implications of this study are; enriching the understanding of campursari education and its implications in developing inclusive curricula, strengthening interfaith cooperation, and enhancing the role of Pesantren education in developing similar models in other educational institutions, particularly Islamic boarding schools, to improve the quality of education and shape strong nationalist-religious characters in students.

The phase of Islamic resurgence in Indonesia since the 1980s and 1990s is characterized by the emergence of new dynamics within the Islamic movement, which have reshaped the religious landscape. One of these is Salafism, which was introduced through the Islamic movement originating from the Middle East. This group promotes the purification of Islamic teachings amid the various challenges faced in advancing the development of the movement. Therefore, this study focused on Apolitical Salafi group (political quietism), which has grown significantly in Indonesia. This qualitative study involved data collection through observation and in-depth interviews with key Salafi figures, followed by thorough data analysis. The results showed that Apolitical Salafi movement provided a new space for religious da’wah (preaching), specifically among the upper-middle-class and millennial generation in society. Conversely, this movement also avoided association with general elections, political parties, democratic practices, and resisted rulers because these activities are considered secular. In conclusion, Apolitical Salafi movement created a paradoxical ideological space for religion. This means that religious identity of Salafi Muslims should conform to its teachings, and as Indonesian citizens, they need to avoid interference in political affairs (political isolationism).

Papua, Indonesia, is a region of cultural and religious diversity. However, in facing social challenges, the development of youth character has become a critical issue. The Research and Development Centre for Religion, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, conducted a survey of secondary schools. In 2021, the high school student index in Papua Province was below the national average. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship and level of correlation between religiosity and integrity among youth in Papua. We employed Christian biblical figures as models to illustrate their methods of developing and maintaining moral and ethical attributes. The method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and correlational techniques. The findings indicate a significant positive correlation (0.629) between the religious dimension and the integrity dimension. This demonstrates a strong relationship between these two dimensions. The conclusion of this study essentially implies that there is a beneficial and strong relationship between religious discipline and integrity. Current trends within both religious and secular communities suggest that contemporary times mean that people spend more time alone than with others. Community engagement in general has been declining, while religious and spiritual community engagement in particular has dropped off significantly in recent decades, and most especially following the COVID-19 global pandemic. Although humans are social beings and benefit from community engagement, we tend to avoid or minimize our affiliations and associations, including our religious and spiritual ones today. Religious and spiritual communities must adapt to changing times or risk becoming irrelevant, diminishing further, and losing their sustainability to continue with their activities and services. Religious communities might wish to consider the best state-of-the-art evidence-based practices to engage their members, as well as appeal to those who might be interested in joining with them. There are many mental and physical health benefits to active engagement with spiritual religious practices and communities. During a 2-year period, the depictions of religious figures and their interactions with secular individuals in urban daily life became an integral feature of Turkish soap operas that gained popularity in the world after the 1990s. While previous studies have explored the portrayal of various actors in them in terms of age, gender, socio-economic status, and historical perspectives, there is a lack of analysis regarding the interaction between secular and religious urban representations. This research aims to investigate the differences in everyday cosmopolitan perspectives in terms of spatiality and temporality between the two groups. To examine this, the soap opera Kızılcık Şerbeti (One Love) was analysed. Research has shown that when two groups develop their identities in opposition to one another, it leads to the emergence of different temporal and spatial dimensions within the same urban setting. While it seems unfeasible to reconcile the daily routines of both groups in the same place, age, gender, education, and class make negotiation possible in shared spaces. This draws attention to the intersectional approach rather than the binary positions of identities in the placemaking process. The main contribution of this research is to integrate religion, which has been forgotten in human geography, into geographical and sociological discussions by focusing on an intersectional approach in an urban context. Religion, as an inherent part of individuals' identity, is intricately interwoven into the fabric of their lives, shaping their values, beliefs, knowledge, attitudes, and practices, and influencing their interactions within the broader societal context. With this, the study guided by a descriptive research design and a quantitative research approach aimed to investigate people’s perspectives towards selected practices that go against Catholicism in the Philippines being the only catholic country in Asia and the third largest in the world. A survey was conducted among Catholic Filipinos, and the results revealed that the majority do not adhere to all the teachings and beliefs of Catholicism. Despite being the dominant religion in the country, the practice has become selective. Mostdonot see cohabitation, extramarital sex,the punishment of death penalty for heinous crimes, and premarital sex as unfavorable, despite being sins in Catholicism. However, they had a negative perspective towards prostitution. The study also found that younger, male, and single individuals tend to be more accepting of cohabitation, premarital sex, and extramarital affairs. The study suggests that there is a need for the Catholic Church to reassess its teachings and find ways to better connect with the younger generation, while addressing the issue of selective adherence to its principles. This study proposes and analyzes a deterministic mathematical model to describe the dynamics of corruption transmission. We began by proving that the solution to the model is bounded and positive. The next-generation matrix approach is used to compute the basic reproduction number (TZQ) in relation to corruption-free equilibrium. The Jacobian and Lyapunov functions are used to show that corruption-free equilibrium is asymptotically stable in both locally and globally when TZQ < 1, and otherwise, an endemic corruption equilibrium develops. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the model's parameters was investigated. The findings demonstrate that religious precepts govern public education. The two sectors most susceptible to corruption controlare education and corrections. The study recommends investing more in the provision of public education to citizens by creating awareness among all and including it in the education curriculum and religious leaders to teach their followers seriously about the impact of corruption as well as the use of jail as punishment. IntroductionIn recent years, there has been a growing body of evidence supporting the notion that spirituality and religion can improve one’s physical and mental health. Studies show that religion and spirituality play a significant role in the suicidal path. Considering the dearth of data on the patterns of suicidal thoughts, acts and related factors in Pakistan, a country with a large Muslim population and stigma with sociocultural perceptions of religious notions, the current study investigated the role of religious and spiritual factors of suicide using psychological autopsies.MethodPurposive sampling was used to gather retrospective data records from police stations and hospital forensic departments in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan, between January 2021 and July 2022. In total, 60 samples (30 cases and 30 controls) were used in this autopsies investigation. As with the majority of case control studies, the study sample cases were matched with the controls. At least two close bereaved family members served as the primary information sources, and data was gathered using the Semi Structured Interview Protocol for Psychological Autopsies.ResultsAccording to statistical analysis, both the suicide cases and the controls were comprised mostly of Muslim individuals. They follow Islam and hold the view that suicide is prohibited, forbidden, and haram in Islam. Regarding spirituality and religion, the majority of cases, according to the respondents interviewed, were not spiritual at all, while the controls are slightly spiritual. While the majority of both cases and controls had reduced interest in or practice of religious activities over the past year, a higher number of cases rarely performed and attended the religious services/activities as compared to controls.DiscussionIt was thus evident that the cases lacked significant engagement in spiritual and religious activities, and their attendance at such gatherings had notably decreased in the year preceding the suicide attempt. This decline in involvement in spiritual and religious practices might be linked to decreased levels of satisfaction, sense of belongingness, which could raise the risk of suicide. Therefore, in nations where Muslims predominate, culturally relevant suicide prevention initiatives including spiritual and religious treatments aimed at reducing the risk of suicide should be considered.

This study aims to find out what learning strategies for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers use in improving students' communication skills, the extent of the effectiveness of PAI learning strategies in improving students' communication skills, and how students respond to the use of PAI learning strategies used in improving students' communication skills. This research was conducted at Al-Hijrah IT Junior High School Deli Serdang, using a qualitative method with a descriptive design. The informants in this study consisted of 2 Islamic Religious Education teachers, school principals, curriculum representatives, and eight students. The data will be gathered through observations, interviews, and document studies. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing of a conclusion. The results of this study show that the PAI learning strategy is used to improve students' communication skills by using a student-centered learning approach (Student Centered Learning) or a scientific approach, as well as presentation and discussion learning methods. The use of PAI learning strategies in improving students' communication skills from this study shows that the PAI learning strategies used are effective, which can be seen from students' responses to PAI learning strategies used in improving students' communication skills.

Freedom of religion in Indonesia is an important and sensitive issue. Indonesia's religious diversity often leads to disputes and conflicts that disrupt harmony and unity. It is considered the emergence of diverse understandings and unfulfilled rights from religious differences. A theological approach can be an effective tool in facilitating the transformation of religious awakening and promoting religious freedom in Indonesia. This research aims to determine how theological perspectives influence the understanding and practice of religious freedom, which is communicated effectively. The research method used is descriptive, analysing the index of religious freedom in Indonesia with a theological analysis of religious freedom. The study's results highlight the importance of a theological approach in fostering a spiritual attitude and influencing expressions of religious freedom. The values of harmony, tolerance, and respect have encouraged efforts to build respect but still raise concerns about the emergence of conflict with the development of community interaction. Implementing effective strategies to place theology that encourages religious freedom in Indonesia is essential.

This research aims to describe the religious value in the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy and its implementation as literature learning material in high school. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive methods. The research data is in the form of quotations of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences containing religious value in the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This study's data source is the novel Suluh Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, designed with literary content analysis. Data collection techniques are reading, listening, taking notes, and documenting, and data validity using data triangulation. Data analysis techniques use dialectical methods. The results of this study show that the novel Suluh Rindu contains three religious values: creed, worship, and morals. The religious value of this novel can be implemented as literature learning material in high school based on reading and viewing elements with learning outcomes in the form of students being able to express ideas and views based on logical thinking principles from reading various types of texts (non-fiction and fiction) in print and electronic media. Students can appreciate fiction and non-fiction texts.

Havel Phaëton Žalanský within the coordinates of late humanism This study focuses on the work of Havel Phaëton Žalanský (1567–1621), a highly prolific author of religious and moralistic works in the first quarter of the 17th century, analysing his output within the framework of current research into humanism in the Czech lands. It examines the genre principles, typical contemporary themes and characteristic imagery of Žalanský’s treatises as well as the use of humanist and classical pretexts. Havel Phaëton Žalanský is a standard author from the late humanist period, but his particular features include a leaning towards the Calvinist Reformation and distinctive eschatological ideas and examples from history, while his texts have a polemical slant and are stylistically characterized by a departure from the higher style of what is known as Veleslavín Czech.

This study aims to examine (1) whether there is a direct influence of religiosity on resilience at MTsN 7 Nganjuk, (2) whether there is a direct influence of resilience on academic achievement at MTsN 7 Nganjuk, (3) whether there is a direct influence of religiosity on academic achievement at MTsN 7 Nganjuk. This research is a descriptive-correlational quantitative study. Data analysis was performed using the path analysis statistical method. The population of the study comprised seventh-grade students at MTsN 7 Nganjuk, with a sample size of 61 students. The results of the study indicate that (1) there is a direct influence of the religiosity variable on the resilience variable at MTsN 7 Nganjuk, (2) there is no direct influence of resilience on the academic achievement variable at MTsN 7 Nganjuk, and (3) there is a direct influence of the religiosity variable on the academic achievement variable at MTsN 7 Nganjuk. Resilience, as an essential asset for students in facing life, can be developed by enhancing their religiosity values. Therefore, the school can design programs or activities oriented towards increasing students' religiosity. This research can be further developed in subsequent studies by incorporating other variables such as learning motivation, learning interest, academic culture, family environment, and school environment, among others.

The Rohingya refugee crisis has garnered global attention, eliciting both pros and cons to the dispersion of Rohingya refugees across different nations. This research analyzes the pros and cons of the Rohingya refugee situation and its implications for religion, humanity, society, and the economy. The research method uses qualitative descriptive analysis included in the literature review, which takes secondary data from sources such as the Immigration Detention Center, UNHCR, and IOM. The research result show four main backgrounds to the Rohingya crisis: religious, humanitarian, social, and economic. The study identifies numerous hoaxes and hate speech targeting the Rohingya, causing societal polarization and the disruption of social harmony. The same of religion and human values becomes the primary reason to assist Rohingya refugees. However, societal rejection also occurs due to the presence of certain Rohingya individuals who violate local norms and religious principles. From a social and economic perspective, helping the Rohingya ethnic group is an effort to prevent human trafficking transactions. However, it has the potential to cause social jealousy. Rohingya refugees negatively impact the economy, but in Malaysia, they contribute positively to the informal sector. Resolving this crisis demands international cooperation, humanitarian aid, diplomatic efforts, and a commitment to human rights for concrete solutions.

Many academic works examine religious media institutions and media content producers operating in European countries, including Hungary, but most of them do so in an isolated way, mostly focusing on a particular content producer. The present study aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the operation of religious content producers in Hungary in a broader context, which considers the overall media system from a legal and economic point of view. First, we give a short retrospective overview about the history of Hungarian church press. Afterwards we examine the current legal framework for audiovisual regulation in Hungary. The conclusions are based on data obtained using three different methodologies. We have analyzed the freely accessible records of the Hungarian media authority (NMHH) and legislation, conducted a total of 6 in-depth interviews and an analysis of the content produced by each media outlet. The results of our research showed that in Hungary there is a disconnect between the concepts of church and religious media and that churches have hardly any comprehensive strategy to exploit the potential of digitalization. It can be concluded that church-owned media with religious content cannot be included in the present legal and economic framework without problems. Finally, an important question is whether and how church media are adapting to the changed environment. Our case studies show that the picture is mixed in this respect, because there is a lack of a coherent strategy among the actors on how service providers can adapt as effectively as possible to the new technological consumption patterns.

Whistling was one of the early auditory and ideographic means of humans. As a unique cultural phenomenon, whistling had been spreading in China for a long time, and was once called âxiaoâ. It had even become an early religious magic and a way of keeping fit for alchemists and Taoists. This study will further elaborate that as a primitive form of musical expression, whistling has unique significance in its development process. Whistling is a casual and joyful art of music, and this pleasure comes from the pursuit of the spiritual realm triggered by whistling. On the one hand, whistling has the function of expressing personal emotions and lifting the mood; on the other hand, it can create a realm that is the unity of heaven and humanity. From an aesthetic perspective, whistling is not a simple skill, but a return to nature by humans.

In her recent book, Kierkegaard and Religion: Personality, Character, and Virtue, Sylvia Walsh argues that Kierkegaard is not a virtue ethicist in the most common senses associated with eudaimonism, which he understands as enlightened self-interest. However, recent disputes about whether the aspects of "character" that Kierkegaard praises are virtues rely partly on whether the "ethical stage" in Kierkegaard's moral psychology remains important within Christian faith, even when most strictly conceived in his late works. This in turn depends on how we understand the difficult works–grace relation in Kierkegaard's conception of Christian faith. In this essay, I argue that the ethical existence sphere remains important even though, in works like Practice in Christianity and Judge for Yourself!, Kierkegaard argues that Christian faith is not a mere outgrowth or natural "development" of ethical earnestness or care—hardening the break with immanence that he introduced in earlier works. While he emphasizes a total transformation, a break from natural moral consciousness, and describes Christian qualities as a reversal of ordinary human expectations, there remains an underlying continuity with the attitudes and stances constitutive of the ethical and religiousness A (as existence spheres). This becomes visible when we identify three aspects found across the aesthetic, ethical, and Christian religious versions of major concepts in Kierkegaard's work, including positive character terms. I use "sobriety" as discussed in Judge for Yourself! as my main example. This analysis confirms several important points advanced by Lee Barrett on the works–grace relation. The paradoxical standoff between ethical effort and grace is bridged to some extent by the continuing significance of the ethical "sphere" as a part of the "religious", even in Kierkegaard's late works and journal entries. In an increasingly digital era, the spread of negative content on social networks and online platforms has become an increasingly profound issue, especially in religious aspects. This study examines the evolving dynamics between religion and new media technologies and their combined impact on humans' relationship with nature. As society becomes increasingly connected through digital media, the role of religion in shaping environmental ethics and behavior becomes increasingly important. This research aims to explore how religion and new media technologies intersect and have the potential to change our relationship with the environment. This research examines how society understands information and communication technology. How do Indonesian people, especially in Bali Province, understand the spread of negative content and the benefits of technological developments for religious and human relations. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach using Microsoft Excel to collect data and using SPSS version 26 software to process the data. The total number of respondents was 92 people. Univariate analysis is used to see each variable's frequency and percentage. The research was conducted in Bali Province around September 2023. The study revealed that 73% of the respondents had more than six years of experience using the Internet. Additionally, 59 respondents acknowledged their proficiency with technological usage. Efforts to enhance digital literacy in society are necessary due to the misuse of technology by a few individuals. The objective of this research is to present the primary results of a study on generations and generational relationships in Braga, Portugal, specifically in the spheres of family, school, work, leisure and consumption, and religion. For this purpose, three generational cohorts were differentiated, belonging to those born in the decades 1940–1950, 1965–1975, and 1990–2000. This work will focus on the first of these generations, 1940–1950. To carry out this research, each generation was structured based on gender and social class, and qualitative (Life Stories) and quantitative (questionnaires) techniques were used. We started from the hypotheses suggested by previous research (blinded for review) and confirmed by the one being developed that it is possible to observe certain generational connections, despite the divisions related to gender and social class that exist within them (a division that gains greater visibility in the qualitative dimension), and that relationships between generations cannot be approached from theoretical models based on mere reproduction or opposition. Instead, we must grasp these relationships through more complex and dynamic processes, through which they will reconfigure and rework what is transmitted and what is received by each generation, resulting in a unique outcome that will be explored in this work. The religious dimension, which was previously a naturally assumed and lived tradition, ceased to be recognised as an identity determinant by the younger generations. As a result, the cultural heritage is no longer passed down as tradition. In this sense, there is a whole "integral ecology" (LS 159), in its broadest sense, recovering that is capable of cementing principles and values that unite generations and give meaning to life. To carry out this research, a theoretical and analytical framework has been established based on the following dimensions: transmissions (concerning the narratives and the people who appear as their referents); temporalities that articulate both the relationships within each generation and between generations; spaces, structures, and rituals that make up and give meaning to the transmissions; recognised debts, obligations, and interdependencies; expectations and achievements; and tensions between the expected and the achieved. Religious tourism is not a new phenomenon or new practice. It has recently received considerable attention in both academia and the public at large. However, even though Ethiopia is endowed with a variety of religious tourism activities, its contemporary issues, and future prospects haven't been utilised, outlined and managed. In the Amhara region, in the South Gondar zone, Tana Chirkos and Kirstos Semra are among the outstanding sites where lots of religious travellers are going and religious tourism activities are held. Thus, this study stands with the general objective of investigating the issues and future prospects of religious tourism development at Tana Chirkos and Kirstos Semra. To study this, a descriptive design is employed. Respondents were selected using the non-probability sampling method through convenience and purposive sampling methods and content analysis was undertaken. The findings prove that acculturation and modernisation, looting and elicit trafficking problems, dependability, poor management ability, and commercialisation are current issues whereas increasing the level of awareness, widespread institutions, government policies, untouched treasures at the sites, and technology advancement are future prospects. Objective: To investigate the significant differences in the response of male and female participants to déjà vu experiences andto analyze whether the Big Five personality traits predict déjà vu experiences among religious and non-religious participants. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: City of Lahore, Pakistan, from Jan to Nov 2020. Methodology: This study comprised a random sample of 160 male and female participants, aged 20-50 years from the different communities. The questionnaire, Big Five personality trait, and Italian inventory Déjà vu experience assessment instruments were used to investigate the relationship between personality traits and déjà vu experience among religious and non-religious participants. Result: The score of male participants for déjà vu experience Mean±SD=51.55±9.26, and the score of female participants for déjà vu experience Mean±SD=50.08±8.47. Déjà vu among participants has a positive effect, with 0.026 for extraversion, 0.416 for conscientiousness, and 0.676 for openness to experience. Conclusion: Our study results exhibited that male and female participants showed no significant difference in their déjà vu experiences. Moreover, the study results showed that extraversion, conscientiousness, and openness to experience personality traits were positive predictors of déjà vu experiences among participants from different religions and non-religions.

The need for religious moderation in North Sumatra province arises as a result of burning worship [Vihara and Klenteng], exploding bombs and stabbing attempts at churches during worship. This study examines the effect of Islamic education, depression and religiosity on religious moderation in students at state Islamic universities. This study used a cross-sectional design in North Sumatra province with 1125 Muslim students over a period from February 2023 to May 2023. This study used a closed questionnaire involving Islamic education, depression, religiosity and religious moderation using linear regression with 95% CI using JASP version 19. With regard to the notions of depression, religious ideology, religious experiences and religious studies, this research demonstrates that students who have received education in Muslim schools affect religious moderation in students of state Islamic universities. Religious moderation among Islamic students will be improved by providing increased information on religious studies that contain religious moderation. Contribution: This article will provide new information about religious moderation carried out by Muslim students in Islamic universities that are often associated with intolerance, terrorism, fanaticism and religion-based violence.

This research is motivated by the frequent occurrence of children committing acts such as bullying, violence, and a lack of politeness and courtesy. Among the factors causing this is that the teacher's strategy in teaching religion and morals is not in accordance with the learning objectives. This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy for teaching religious and moral values to children aged 4-6 years. The research approach used a qualitative approach through the case study method. The data source for this research is Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers at Kober Raudhotul Jannah Cicalengka and RA Arraudotunnur Garut Regency, with as many as five informants. Data analysis techniques have three main steps: data reduction, data display, and verification. The results concluded that teachers do not fully understand the learning objectives of religion and morals at the PAUD level. Teachers use a variety of methods in accordance with predetermined learning objectives. The methods used by teachers include habituation methods, exemplary singing, role-playing, and tourism work

The ethics of a politician are a necessity to pay attention to in perfecting religious humanism in the world of politics so that it can produce policies that support a prosperous and prosperous society. However, so far what we have encountered has only been limited to campaigning in the stage of gaining the most votes. The speakers related to political ethics, religious ethics, and the relationship between religion and politics have been discussed by figures such as Al Farabi, Ibnu Taymiyah, Miroljub Jevtic, Anthony Gill and others. Therefore, research like this should continue to be carried out so that the results will have a positive impact on politics and our society in the future. Research related to ethics was carried out using library research where the sources were taken from materials that focused on highlighting ethics, politics and religion with a data processing process that went through several stages starting with data coding and ending with drawing conclusions. The results of this research determine that the ethics that must be present in a politician to perfect his religious humanism are related to justice, honesty, responsibility, and broad knowledge which are crucial to the formation of a prosperous and prosperous society which can give birth to a civilization of high value.

Religious conflicts in Indonesia are prevalent, with endless debates, provocations, and strains among religious groups. Therefore, promoting moderation is crucial to alleviate, minimize, or even eradicate such tensions. Based on the country’s history related to the monarchy system, as well as the jumbled existence of political, religious, and social leaders in society, the role of a leader is significant. Unfortunately, Western, religious, and secular values of leadership have limited opportunities for implementation because of Indonesia’s heterogenous community. Therefore, this article argued that the native leadership knowledge of tona’as from Minahasa is a promising area to explore for religious moderation. To achieve the desired result, descriptive, analytical, and argumentative methods were employed. In conclusion, the responsibility, requirements, and praxis of a tona’as offers alternative insights into leadership in relation to religious moderation in Indonesia. Contribution: This article contributes the values of leadership model in Minahasa that could be a constructive contribution to the religious moderation in Indonesia. The knowledge and insight of tona’as as an original culture and tradition offers leadership philosophy that could bring harmony and peace.

In various aspects of life, such as the gentle power of Qatar in publishing Islamic values to the international world in the form of religious values and multiculturalism. Qatar 2022 World Cup is one of the most different hosts of all time. Qatar's attitude shows that Islam is a religion that calls for good things for humans. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research and journal approach related to Religious-Multiculturalism Values in the 2022 Qatar World Cup Football Event. This research shows that Islam is not a religion that does not respect human differences, it also shows that Islam is an exclusive teaching. which is intended for followers who were born to Muslim parents, but Islam can also be learned and known by non-Muslims.

Extreme thoughts about moderate Islam are often the beginning of divisions. A shallow understanding of religious moderation makes it easier for someone to be indicated by radical views. Counselors have an essential role in increasing students' understanding of religious moderation. This study aims to improve students' understanding of religious moderation in public schools through group guidance using bibliotherapy techniques. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Non-equivalent control group design. The sample of this research was 20 students, consisting of 10 students for each experimental and control group, per Gazda's (1969) recommendations regarding the adequate number of group guidance participants, ranging from 8 to 10 participants. The sample has filled out the Religious Moderation Scale (RMS) developed by Monalisa (2022) and is indicated to be in a low category. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test to determine the effect before and after the intervention was given. Then, to find out the average difference between the experimental group and the control group, it was analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The study's results showed a difference in understanding of religious moderation before and after the intervention, with a significance of .005. The research results showed that the group guidance intervention using bibliotherapy techniques was effective in increasing students' understanding of religious moderation with a Z score of -3.885 and a significance value of .000.

The pervasiveness of the understanding of religion and its amenability to persons and circumstances see it in every area of life. Politics is one of such areas. Their relationship with each other, given their seemingly divergent contents and orientations, has been contentious through times. They are sometimes pitched against each other, or one is seen to be exploited by the other. Religion is accused as being instrumentalised by politicians to access power through religion-induced violence. This theoretical paper seeks to examine whether religion is as guilty as she is charged in the issues of conflicts associated with it in politics and political settings. The study establishes through phenomenological prism, that the true understanding of religion, despite the inherent potentials for peace and violence, exonerates and acquits it from those charges. It invites to a rethink about the abuses of religion, to the upholding of the true understanding of religion, and urges its non-instrumentalisation in politics.

This article discusses religious mobility in the lives of urban Muslim society in Australia by investigating organizational projects and religious practices. This paper uses ethnographic fieldwork consisting of in-depth interviews and hang-out in the organization meeting and gatherings among urban Muslim society in Australia. This paper argues that although urban Muslim society in Australia is associated with a Muslim minority, they contribute significantly to the development of Islamic education, Islamic altruism, and spirituality performance. Urban Muslim society in Australia demonstrates social sensitivity by establishing social institutions to show their embodied Muslim identity, such as Islamic Society of Melbourne Eastern Region (ISOMER) in Melbourne, Islamic Science and Research (ISRA) in Sydney, and Australian Sufi Association (ASA). They show their religious mobility as well as their religious practices as part of an agent of social change by promoting community engagement as an embodiment of social solidarity.

Türk modernleşmesi ile başlayan süreçte ortaya çıkan laik-seküler ve dindar kimliklerin bugün dahi toplumsal ve siyasal alanda gerilimin kaynağı olduğu bir gerçektir. Toplum halen kendini yoğunlukla iki kimlik üzerinden tanımlamakta ve kutuplarını belirlemektedir. Ancak kimliklerin her zaman iki keskin kutupta olduğunu ve değişime uğramadığını söyleyemeyiz. Laik-seküler ve dindarlar açısından düşünüldüğünde, artık ılıman bölgeye tekabül eden, ortada kimlikler olduğunu söylememiz gerekir. Diğer yandan söz konusu kimliklerin mekânları, yaşam tarzı, eğlence ve müzik anlayışı, sofra anlayışı, giyim tarzı ya da toplumsal olaylara bakışı farklılaşmaktadır. Bu farklılaşma genellikle dini- seküler temsillerle görünür olmaktadır. Bu bağlamda gündelik hayatın işleyişi ve ritmine bakmak, dindarlığın ve sekülerliğin kendini nasıl ürettiği yanında gerilimin kaynağını anlayabilmemiz adına işlevsel bir araçtır. Show TV’de 2022 yılında yayınlanmaya başlayan Kızılcık Şerbeti isimli dizi, dindar bir ailenin oğlu ile laik-seküler bir ailenin kızının evliliğini, söz konusu gündelik yaşam pratikleri ve gerilim üzerinden ele almaktadır. Aynı zamanda dizide akışkan dindar olarak tanımlanabilecek kimlik temsillerine yer verilmiştir. Bu çalışmada söz konusu temsillerin tespit edilebilmesi için Van Dijk’in eleştirel söylem analizi kullanılarak dizi filmin çözümlemesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çözümleme sonucunda seküler ve dindar yaşam tarzlarının, gündelik konuşma dilini içeren selamlaşma ya da iyi dilek söylemlerinde, evcil hayvanlara karşı yaklaşımda, cinsiyet temelli doktor tercihlerinde, kadına şiddete karşı eylem ve söylemlerde, bilimle kutsalın kıyasında ve mekân tercihlerinde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir.

Different studies consistently find that positive religious coping is associated with a reduced level of severe mental illness such as depression. Despite its high prevalence and being a significant coping mechanism for persons with severe mental illness, there are no published studies on positive religious coping in Ethiopia.Objective: To assess the prevalence of positive religious coping and associated factors among people with severe mental illness attending outpatient service at Felege Hiwot Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, Bahir Dar, northwest Ethiopia, 2021.Methods: A cross-sectional institution-based study was conducted and systematic random sampling was applied to select participants. Data were collected through a face-to-face interview. The collected data were entered into EpiData version 3.1 and exported to SPSS version 20 for processing and analysis. Multivariable logistic regression was used to identify independent factors associated with religious coping. P-value < 0.05 was declared a statistically significant association with a 95% confidence interval.Results: The prevalence of positive religious coping among severe mental illness was 72.4% (95% CI= 68.2, 76.4). Having no comorbid medical illness, good quality of life, good medication adherence, and mild subjective severity scale were associated with positive religious coping.Conclusion: The magnitude of positive religious coping among severe mental illness was relatively high. Not having a comorbid medical illness, good medication adherence, good quality of life, and mild subjective severity scale were factors associated with it. Patients report different factors that affect practicing positive religious coping factors. In the other direction, positive religious coping was reported to contribute to symptom alleviating and increasing a sense of well-being.Keywords: religious, positive religious coping, severe mental illness
