Background: Repeated implantation failure (RIF) refers to the condition where high quality embryos are unable to successfully implant after multiple cycles of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of intrauterine granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on pregnancy rate in patients with RIF., Materials and Methods: The present randomised clinical trial study was conducted at the IVF Centre of Mehr Medical Institute in Rasht, Iran, from 2020 to 2022. The research consisted of 200 individuals who had experienced multiple failed cycles. These patients were randomised into two groups: intrauterine infusion of 1 ml of G-CSF and intrauterine infusion of 1 ml autologous PRP at least 48 hours before embryo transfer (ET). The groups were compared in terms of implantation rate, and chemical, clinical, and ongoing pregnancy., Results: The implantation rate was significantly higher in patients who received PRP (P=0.016). Chemical pregnancy in the PRP group was significantly higher than G-CSF group (P=0.003). Both clinical pregnancy and ongoing pregnancy rates were significantly higher in the PRP group (P=0.001) compared to the G-CSF group (P=0.02)., Conclusion: The utilisation of PRP via intrauterine infusion is considerably more successful than G-CSF in enhancing pregnancy and live birth rates among patients with RIF.

- Abstract
We present a 63-year-old African American female with a prior medical history of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and uterine fibroids whose primary concern was vaginal bleeding. She had no prior medical care established, and the last mammogram was conducted 10 years prior with normal results. She has had multiple ED visits for symptoms of reflux and vaginal bleeding and has been discharged with a primary care follow-up referral each time. On physical exam, there was evidence of nodular skin lesions, tightening of the skin on her face, neck, and back, as well as nodular skin lesions on her neck, back, chest, and abdomen, notably progressing in number, not in size, in a caudal fashion. Further exam findings included telangiectasias predominantly on her right hand. On initial laboratory studies, she was hypercalcemic with an elevated calcium level of 13 mg/dL. Initial imaging included a CT scan of her chest, abdomen, and pelvis, which revealed pulmonary embolism and uterine fibroids, with the largest measuring 5.9 x 4.3 x 5.3 cm, as well as bilateral breast masses noted to be a BI-RADS 3 on ultrasound. A skin biopsy completed early on in the hospitalization revealed metastatic breast cancer, specifically high-grade, poorly differentiated infiltrating mammary carcinoma of the lobular type. Similarly, a right breast mass biopsy illustrated resemblant findings, specifically invasive mammary carcinoma with mixed ductal and lobular features. She was ultimately treated with ribociclib and fulvestrant (KR1) and discharged from the hospital with oncology and primary care follow-up., Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interests exist., (Copyright © 2023, Ghantarchyan et al.)

- Abstract
This study aimed to determine the prevalence of Entamoeba histolytica , Entamoeba dispar , and Entamoeba moshkovskii , using microscopic and molecular methods in Jahrom city (Fars Province), south of Iran. Stool samples were collected from 360 outpatients referred to the medical laboratories in Jahrom city. Standard parasitological methods, including direct wet mount examination, formalin-ether sedimentation technique, and trichrome staining techniques, were used for detection of Entamoeba complex. Nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to identify the genus/species of Entamoeba . Entamoeba complex cysts were detected in 2.5% (9/360) of samples by microscopic methods, while 11 isolates were considered positive for the Entamoeba complex by nested PCR. Among them, 2 (18.18%) out of 11 samples were E. histolytica , 5 (45.45%) were E. dispar , and 4 (36.36%) were E. moshkovskii . Molecular positivity was more prevalent among females (4.16%), people living in rural areas (3.44%), and people over 60 years old (13.33%). Considering the clinical manifestations, the Entamoeba complex infection in patients with fever (7.69%), severe diarrhea (5.10%), and nausea (5%) was high. This study reported the presence of E. histolytica , E. dispar , and E. moshkovskii in Jahrom city. Therefore, we suggest more public health interventions in Jahrom city., Competing Interests: The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest., (Copyright © 2023 Zahra Kargar Jahromi et al.)

Objective: To evaluate the clinical and epidemiological features of deceased patients and comparing the discrepancies between male and female patients based on high prevalence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), its irreversible effects and the rising mortality rate in Jahrom city., Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical retrospective study that was conducted from the beginning of March 2020 to the end of November 2020. The study population were included all patients with COVID-19 who admitted to Peymaniyeh Hospital in Jahrom and died of COVID-19. Clinical and demographic data were collected from medical records and analyzed by SPSS software., Results: In this study, 61 patients (57.54%) were men and 45 patients (42.36%) were women. The mean age was 68.7±18.33 in men and 68.82±14.24 in women. The mean hospitalization length was 9.69±7.75 days in men and 9.69±7.75 days in women patients. There was no statistically significant difference between men and women patients ( p >0.05). The results showed that 17 (27.87%) men and 28 (45.9%) of women patients had hypertension and the prevalence of this disease was significantly higher in women than men ( p =0.01). In this study, 7 (11.48%) men and 13 (21.31%) women had hyperlipidemia. The frequency of hyperlipidemia in women cases was significantly higher than in men patients ( p =0.024). Men cases' diastolic blood pressure (mean=77.53) was significantly higher than women's diastolic blood pressure at the same time with a mean of 71.42 ( p <0.05)., Conclusion: The findings of the study represented the mortality rate in men which is higher than women patients. The prevalence of underlying diseases such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia were higher in women than men. Despite higher mortality among women, symptoms such as fever and dyspnea were less common in women than men., (Journal compilation © 2021 Trauma Research Center, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.)

- Abstract
Bronchopulmonary cancer is a real public health problem. Morphological imaging plays a central role in its diagnosis, staging as well as post-therapeutic assessment but it has some limitations. Metabolic imaging is a more recent technique which allows to significantly improve the overall imagery performance. We conducted a retrospective, descriptive and analytical study at the Ibn Sina Hospital and at the Military Hospital of instruction Mohammed V in Rabat over a period of 18 months, between September 2014 and February 2016, in order to evaluate the role of Fluorodeoxyglucose-PET/CT in the staging and restaging of non-small cell bronchopulmonary cancer. Initial staging showed a vast majority of locally advanced and metastatic stages: stage IV (40%), Stage IIIB (36%), Stage IIIA (16%), Stage II (8%). PET-CT allowed to detect new sites which were not initially seen on CT scan in 24 cases: 15 new ganglion sites, 8 new adrenal sites and 6 sites of bone lesions. PET/CT allowed to modify initial tumor stage in 60% of cases: upstaging in 23 patients (46%) and downstaging in 7 patients(14%). The initial stage remained unchanged in 40% of patients. Our study confirms the data from the literature concerning the superiority of PET-CT in comparison with CT scan, but only in the optimization of the non-small cell bronchopulmonary cancer management, in particular in locoregional and distant staging.

- Abstract
Introduction: One of the wellness estimation axes of various communities are the mental well-being of the communities. Health means an attempt to Self-actualization and development that exhibit in the adaptation of person's skills and experiences. No doubt mental health plays a major role in assuring efficiency in any organization and can be affected via different parameters. Accordingly, the current research conducted by the purpose of illustrating the relationship among self-managing and kid parenting techniques and mental health amongst high school pupils of Abadeh Town. Methodology: In this sectional-correlation research, 375 pupils are taken and involved in the research in stage group sampling technique of Abadeh high schools. Tangney's self-managing survey, Barry's kid parenting rate, Reef's mental survey and a framework of demographic data utilized to obtain data. Information investigated utilizing software SPSS 19 or Pearson's relationship coefficient analysis and stepwise multivariable regression investigation. Findings: Information investigation depicts self-managing parameter has a great and opposite predictability regarding mental health parameter (t =0.003, = β-0.158, P=2.99). Therefore self-managing has great and opposite predictability regarding 2 parts of mental health rate i.e. self-approval (P= 0.0001, t=4.87, β= - 0.181) and dominance on conditions (P= 0.0001, t=3.807, β= - 0.200). The decisions represent the proximity of a consequence relationship among predictability of kid parenting techniques regarding mental health (p=0.01, F=3.85, r2= 0.031, r=0.177). These sequences reveal great predictability of kid parenting styles in 2 various ways in 2 methods of grinding (P=0.035, t= 2.12, β=0.113) and standard (P=0.014, t=2.437, β= 0.434). The Severe method has a reversed important connection in maximum features of mental health. Furthermore, they note that "authoritative method" parameter just has prediction capacity 0.143 based on mental health variance parameter. Plus combining 2 other parameters i.e. self-managing and cruel way, this value rises to 0.188 and 0.225. The greatest rate for prognosticating skill refers to the standard method of kid parenting straight and after that to self-managing and severe method reversely. Conclusion: based on the significant relationship of kid parenting styles and self-managing in foretelling mental health, the need of notice to these parts is felt in describing the mental health of pupils as many as feasible. Therefore, it is suggested that education of kid parenting techniques is examined as a defensive and serving method for mental health in mental wellness plans for all teens particularly scholars therefore that parents could be satisfied in supporting their kids' emotional health and stopping their mental troubles via data and utilizing peculiar kid parenting techniques and withdrawing ineffective systems of kid parenting (as severe behavior).

- Abstract
Background/aim: Thrombocytopenia is a common finding in patients with cirrhosis and may lead to unnecessary referral for bone marrow (BM) biopsy. To date, the prevalence of cirrhosis in patients with thrombocytopenia who receive BM biopsy is largely unknown., Materials and Methods: Between fiscal years 2006-2010, 744 patients (≥18 years) who underwent BM biopsies for thrombocytopenia at our hospital were identified retrospectively. 541 patients were excluded who had hematologic malignancies and received chemotherapy. Remaining 203 patients with predominant isolated thrombocytopenia were included in the study., Results: Of 203 patients, 136 (67%) had a normal and 67 (33%) had an abnormal BM examination. Prevalence of cirrhosis in the study population was 35% (95% CI: 28.4-41.9). 51% patients with normal BM were found to have cirrhosis compared to 3% of patients with abnormal BM exam (P < 0.0001). Common causes of cirrhosis were nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) (47%), followed by alcohol and Hepatitis C virus infection. Idiopathic thrombocytopenia and myelodysplastic syndrome were most frequent causes of thrombocytopenia in patients without cirrhosis. Patients with NASH had higher body mass index (BMI) (33.4 vs. 25.8, P < 0.001) and lower MELD scores (11.1 vs. 16, P = 0.028) when compared to non-NASH patients with cirrhosis., Conclusion: Approximately, one third (35%) of patients with cirrhosis induced thrombocytopenia may undergo unwarranted BM biopsies. Clinical diagnosis of cirrhosis is still a challenge for many physicians, particularly with underlying NASH. We propose cirrhosis to be the prime cause of isolated thrombocytopenia.
