Background: Adolescence is a particularly crucial period of physical, emotional, and social development and adaptation, rendering these formative years rather challenging for individuals with chronic conditions like type 1 diabetes (T1D). Despite rapid improvement in diabetes therapies, adolescents with T1D are characterized by poorer adherence to treatment regimens compared with other pediatric age groups. Insufficient adherence is strongly related to low diabetes control, increasing morbidity, and risk for premature mortality. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of adolescents' most common barriers to T1D adherence, stressing the need for a deep and comprehensive understanding of these barriers. The complexity of these barriers is underscored by the diverse factors contributing to poor T1D adherence in adolescents. Methods: A narrative review was conducted, surveying four databases (PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, and Web of Science) for full-text articles in the English language published up to June 2024. All studies related to barriers to T1D adherence in adolescents were considered. The literature was selected using selection and exclusion criteria and extracted and organized using Mendeley. Exclusion criteria included studies with insufficient data and non-peer-reviewed articles. This review revealed that adolescents face numerous obstacles to T1D adherence related to psychological factors, flux in family dynamics, perceived social pressures, therapy-related factors, transitioning responsibility, risk-taking behaviors, and pubertal changes. Conclusions: Navigating the adaptations to the different aspects of T1D, from treatment to complications and adolescents' personal growth, effectively requires a thorough understanding of the barriers of a treatment regimen that patients at this critical age face. In the modern information society, the study of social aspects in the economic behavior of information users is becoming more and more relevant. With the deepening of the use of social networks, the development of a global community and the increase of access to information, the importance of understanding social factors in economic processes becomes an extremely important issue that cannot be ignored. Decisions made at the level of individuals, groups, business entities or society as a whole have a decisive influence on the formation of not only consumer behavior and habits, but also on economic trends and business development. Disclosure of social aspects is an important component for understanding modern economic realities and forecasting future directions of development. As a result of the research, the key factors that determine people's decisions in the economic sphere and their influence on the processes of management decision-making in business were identified and analyzed. These findings help to better understand possible changes in the economic environment and their possible consequences for society as a whole. The research results open up new opportunities for analyzing and forecasting economic trends, and also provide valuable information for developing management strategies and making effective economic decisions.

A lifelong gluten-free diet (GFD) is the only treatment for celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders. Nevertheless, strict adherence to the GFD is often challenging due to concerns about social isolation, risk of gluten contaminations, high cost, poor quality and the taste of gluten-free products. Moreover, although the GFD is effective in achieving mucosal healing, it may lead to dietary imbalances due to nutrient deficiencies over a long period of time. To overcome these issues, several gluten-free wheat flours have been developed to create products that closely resemble their gluten-containing counterparts. Furthermore, given the critical importance of adhering to the GFD, it becomes essential to promote adherence and monitor possible voluntary or involuntary transgressions. Various methods, including clinical assessment, questionnaires, serology for celiac disease, duodenal biopsies and the detection of Gluten Immunogenic Peptides (GIPs) are employed for this purpose, but none are considered entirely satisfactory. Since adherence to the GFD poses challenges, alternative therapies should be implemented in the coming years to improve treatment efficacy and the quality of life of patients with celiac disease. The aim of this narrative review is to explore current knowledge of the GFD and investigate its future perspectives, focusing on technology advancements, follow-up strategies and insights into a rapidly changing future. A movie is a medium to convey a story that is packed in the form of moving pictures. Conflicts that appear in a movie can influence the psychological aspect of the character, especially the motivation of each character to do something after facing a conflict or having a problem. This study was conducted to analyze how psychological aspects affect the character’s feelings and behavior in a movie entitled “Ticket to Paradise”. This study applied a qualitative method. The data were collected by note-taking the scene in the movie that contained psychological aspects of Georgia Cotton. The study focused on the data that showed action triggered by psychological aspects. The data were categorized and analyzed using Bernhardt's theory of the psychological aspect of human motivation (1945). The findings were presented in a table and explained descriptively. This study identified that the aspect of organic needs or appetites should be fulfilled to reach Georgia’s satisfaction, the aspect of wants could influence Georgia to solve a problem, Georgia’s behavior was affected by the aspect of emotion, the aspect of feeling and experience influenced Georgia in making a decision, and social motives shown by Georgia as a social creature in a society.

Abstract Aim: To propose a dance therapy and free dance protocol for women undergoing adjuvant treatment of breast cancer and to compare its effectiveness with the control group and the healthy group. Method: Protocol for a 12-week randomized clinical trial with a frequency of 2 times at progressive intensity, in which the participants will be allocated into 4 groups: (a) dance therapy intervention; (b) free dance intervention; (c) control group and (d) healthy group. Information related to personal and clinical characteristics as well as psychological aspects will be collected. The primary outcome will be analyzed through depressive symptoms while secondary outcomes include the variables: body image, anxiety, mood, perceived stress, and optimism. Assessments will be carried out in the pre-intervention period (baseline) and after 12 weeks of intervention in all groups. Discussion: As a hypothesis, there are improvements in psychological aspects after dance therapy interventions and free dance, reaching the level of healthy women, given the benefits of that protocol.

Chronic diseases are potential risk factors for pregnancy duration and neonatal outcomes. This narrative review aimed to summarize the research results on the specifics of pregnancy in women with obesity and after bariatric surgery. PubMed and Google Scholar databases were searched. Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trials, and references to identified articles from the last ten years (2013–2023) were included. Ultimately, 107 literature items were qualified. It has been shown that women with obesity planning pregnancy should reduce their body weight because obesity is a risk factor for adverse obstetric and neonatal outcomes. Bariatric surgery effectively reduces excessive body weight and the health risks in women with obesity during pregnancy and their offspring. However, at least a year interval between surgery and conception is recommended. An interdisciplinary medical team should provide patient care during pregnancy with knowledge and skills related to people after bariatric surgery. Due to the increased risk of mental disorders, especially depression, it is necessary to constantly monitor the mental state of women and provide psychological support and education on a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Sustainable business in the hospitality sector should be designed and restructured to offer services meant to satisfy the customers aware of the ethical behavior toward environment. Green environmental marketing strategies (GES) are based on the desire of the customers to access hospitality services with zero or a less negative impact with the adaptation of greening activities. Therefore, this research aims to explore the direct effects of green environmental strategies on ethical consumption and the indirect influence of green marketing and its mediating effect between green environmental strategies and ethical consumption links. Additionally, this research also reveals that psychological aspects play the moderating role in the relationship between GES and ethical consumption. The data were collected from a sample of 545 respondents with the support of Saudi tourism companies, and a structural equation model was used to process them. The findings confirm the positive relationship between green environmental strategy and ethical consumption. The outcomes also corroborate that green marketing is interplaying between green environmental strategy and ethical consumption. In addition, this study validates that psychological aspects strengthen the link between GES and ethical consumption. This study adds to the knowledge in the literature through emphasizing the crucial role of psychological factors in improving green environmental strategies and developing ethical consumption habits among members to increase ethical consumption among tourism companies. The findings support companies from the hospitality sector implementing green sustainable services, to stimulate ethical consumption and to use their competitive advantage in green marketing strategies. Introduction: Psychological aspects are common in patients with heart failure (HF). Psychological aspects have negative consequences in patients with HF. Objective: This study was conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the consequences of psychological aspects in Jordanian patients with HF. Methods: This study is a qualitative study conducted with the participation of 24 patients with HF. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. Results: The main theme of the findings can be expressed as "Consequences of psychological aspects of HF." The following four sub-themes emerged from the data: social isolation, disturbance of feelings, being non-compliant, and growing burden on the health care system. Conclusion: The findings revealed the need for informing healthcare providers about the negative consequences of psychological aspects and develop clinical guidelines to evaluate psychological aspects to support these patients. The latest findings regarding AD pathogenesis point to an impaired function of the epidermal barrier, changed immune response, colonization of the skin by microorganisms, and certain psychological factors among other causes/triggers. The inflammatory response of AD patients is mainly associated with the activation of T cells (Th2 cells predominate), dendritic cells, macrophages, keratinocytes, mast cells, and eosinophils. Therapy usually involves medical evaluations and adequate management including treatment of concomitant diseases (e.g., allergies and infections), patient education and nursing care, psychological support, and nutritional consultations, which are organized through specific programs and structured educational groups. Systemic AD therapy includes conventional systemic treatment (cyclosporine, methotrexate, azathioprine) and new, specific drugs, interleukin inhibitors (e.g., dupilumab) and JAK inhibitors (baricitinib, abrocitinib, upadacitinib, etc.). Since many AD patients are affected by various psychological factors and comorbidities, they should be assessed and managed through a multidisciplinary approach, involving different professions (psychologists, ear–nose–throat specialists, pulmonologists, allergologists, immunologists, nutritionists, pediatricians, gastroenterologists, psychiatrists (when necessary), and others). A multidisciplinary approach provides better coping strategies and improves control over the disease, patient adherence to therapy, and quality of life. It also has a positive influence on family quality of life while at the same time making more efficient use of dermatology healthcare resources, reducing the economic burden on both patients and society. Background: Social distancing may affect athletes' training, causing negative effects on mental and physical health. Objective: This study therefore aimed to characterize the perception of Brazilian athletes about their physical and psychosocial aspects, sleep quality and coping strategies during the quarantine of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with online survey, performed with Brazilian athletes (amateur and professional) over 18 years. The main outcomes measures assessed were physical and psychosocial aspects, sleep quality and coping strategies. Results: A total of 214 athletes were included. The average weekly hours of training during the quarantine was 4.71 ± 3.71 h, of which 64.5% athletes (138/214) were oriented by medical staff during training. For 52.8% (113/214) of athletes, training intensity during the quarantine was different/very different from the intensity before the quarantine. 79.4% athletes (170/214) reported moderate to extreme difficulties in keeping the same level of training during the quarantine. 77.1% athletes (165/214) had moderate to extreme anxiety and each of the athletes had concern about his or her athletic career future, including return to the sport. 72.9% athletes (156/214) reported change in sleep schedule during the quarantine period. Conclusion: The quarantine period during COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected the athlete's perception about training routine, since athletes reported reduction in training hours and training intensity. Overall, the athletes reported that they were moderately to extremely anxious. They also had concerns about their career in the future, as well as concerns regarding return to sport. People have struggled over time to obtain rights. When we mention the subject of cosmetic surgeries, most tend to associate them rather with a lack of their need among people, considering them a whim and not a right. The present study aims to synthesize information from the literature on cosmetic surgery (what are the mechanisms underlying the choice to follow such a procedure, what are the sources that influence body perception and this decision, the associated risks, psychological aspects that accompanying this decision, the sources of information as well as the attitudes of the community towards those who resort to cosmetic surgery), arguing that they represent a human right. However, the study reveals the need to enact laws to protect patients from malpraxis.
