The aim of the review: to present up-to-date scientifically based information about the laboratory parameters of patients associated with severe SARS-CoV-2 infection and internal organ damage. Materials and methods: full-text publications of clinical, randomized and cohort studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses from scientific databases PubMed, Elsevier, Scopus, Google Scholar, E-library for the period from 2019 to 2022 were analyzed. Results. Specific biomarkers were identified, including inflammatory and immunological parameters (C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, IL6), hematological (number of lymphocytes and neutrophils, NLR, D-dimer, ferritin, RDW), myocardial (troponin, creatinekinase-MB, myoglobin), hepatic (AST, ALT, total bilirubin, albumin) and characterizing lung injury (KL-6), which can be used for risk stratification, as prognostic biomarkers of adverse clinical consequences, including death in patients with COVID-19. The studies demonstrated new biomarkers of inflammatory and systemic manifestations of COVID19: procalcitonin, calprotectin and presepsin.

This review presents recent data on direct and indirect pathogenetic relationships between metabolism of purine compounds and biochemical processes in cells of the digestive system. A comprehensive analysis of available modern publications for the period from 2000 to 2022 in the Scopus, PubMed, eLIIBRARY, and Google Scholar databases was performed. The hypothesis linking the pathogenesis of hyperuricemia to “renal overload” suggests that the disease may develop due to impaired renal excretion with insufficient excretion of uric acid (UA) via the intestine. Some of the UA transport systems work actively in hepatocytes and enterocytes, which determines their formation and excretion. UA transporter proteins are divided into two categories: urate reabsorption transporters and urate excretion transporters; their expression is regulated by transcription factors, hormones, and metabolites of the intestinal microflora. The influence of intestinal microbiota on UA metabolism is associated with its involvement in purine metabolism, degradation and excretion of UA together with metabolites of intestinal flora, and suppression of gout inflammation, and is evaluated as a new therapeutic potential for gout and hyperuricemia to prevent renal damage and urolithiasis.

The review provides the opinions of scientists on the results of pharmaco- economy analysis of antihypertension drugs usage in different countries. The necessity underlined for the concentration of attention on analytic approach and financing of the State sector of healthcare support on the availability of treatment and prevention of the main chronic diseases. The parameters of economic assessment of efficacy of different antihypertension drugs are not only the criterial for rational usage of restricted resources of healthcare system, but also help to choose the exact drug in clinical situation to provide to the patient the best life quality with real economic wealth.

The review focuses on the opinions of scientists and on the results of studies of molecular mechanisms in gestation hypertension pathogenesis as on the influence of social, psychosomatic and anamnestic factors on the stages of this pathology development.

The relevance of search for early markers of kidney damage is explained by the high incidence of urinary system diseases of various etiology in the structure of physical pathology of pregnant women and the proportion of complications, disability and mortality of mothers and their offspring. Despite a variety of articles on ultrasound diagnosis of kidney disease, there are no specific biometric criteria for kidney states in pregnant women with or without physical pathology; neither there is data on kidney remodeling during gestation in women with obesity. Hypotensive drugs applied by pregnant women in gestational and post-gravidary periods are limited by four basic groups of antihypertensive substances. Administration of other drugs is rare and do not have a tendency to grow. The majority of drugs corresponds to the following criteria: they are low cost, they are used during several decades. Beta-adrenergic blockers are the leaders among the hypotensive drugs for pregnant women.
