The article raises a controversial topic of classifying business models of contemporary enterprises and justifies the necessity of their transformation, considering the factor of sustainability. The author analyzes various definitions of business models and proposes their own approach to interpretation. The article provides a traditional classification of enterprise business models, as well as the results of the author's scientific research in the field of sustainable economic growth. The paper highlights the advantages of platform-based business models over traditional models in terms of determining sustainability. It has developed a classification of digital enterprise business models based on various criteria and formulated the main directions for further development and improvement.

The article considers approaches to the concept of business model of business activity, considers its modern content in the context of taking into account the peculiarities and using the advantages of the digital economy. An analytical review of business models currently used by domestic and foreign companies with the allocation of e-commerce and innovation models is made. It is proven that the improvement of existing business models or the creation of new ones should be carried out through the re-engineering of their business processes. The classification of business processes according to various classification features which can be used in the process of reengineering, is given. Reengineering as a method of radical redesign of the company's business model, taking into account the main trends in the development of modern economy and the signals of key stakeholders is characterized in detail. Based on the results of the research, a conceptual model of hybrid reengineering for market adaptation of business models of Russian enterprises to the conditions of market economy is developed. Promising directions of its improvement were identified for all the main structural elements forming its integrity and synergetic character.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNAs with key roles in cellular regulation. As part of the fifth edition of the Functional Annotation of Mammalian Genome (FANTOM5) project, we created an integrated expression atlas of miRNAs and their promoters by deep-sequencing 492 short RNA (sRNA) libraries, with matching Cap Analysis Gene Expression (CAGE) data, from 396 human and 47 mouse RNA samples. Promoters were identified for 1,357 human and 804 mouse miRNAs and showed strong sequence conservation between species. We also found that primary and mature miRNA expression levels were correlated, allowing us to use the primary miRNA measurements as a proxy for mature miRNA levels in a total of 1,829 human and 1,029 mouse CAGE libraries. We thus provide a broad atlas of miRNA expression and promoters in primary mammalian cells, establishing a foundation for detailed analysis of miRNA expression patterns and transcriptional control regions.

Upon the first publication of the fifth iteration of the Functional Annotation of Mammalian Genomes collaborative project, FANTOM5, we gathered a series of primary data and database systems into the FANTOM web resource (http://fantom.gsc.riken.jp) to facilitate researchers to explore transcriptional regulation and cellular states. In the course of the collaboration, primary data and analysis results have been expanded, and functionalities of the database systems enhanced. We believe that our data and web systems are invaluable resources, and we think the scientific community will benefit for this recent update to deepen their understanding of mammalian cellular organization. We introduce the contents of FANTOM5 here, report recent updates in the web resource and provide future perspectives.

The focus of the article is on the formation and use by the participants of business ecosystems of new approaches to increase their competitiveness. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the complex of creative factors to increase the competitiveness of business ecosystems. The motivation for the research is to improve the quality of goods and services for consumers by examining the structural elements of business ecosystems as innovative participants in the economy. The design and methods of research include a logical sequence of presentation of the material on the basis of a questionnaire. To achieve this goal, within the framework of the theoretical component, we analyzed relevant conceptual and empirical articles, as well as information obtained as a result of large-scale empirical studies of the conditions of ecosystem development and changes in consumer values. The main conclusions are that the intensification of competition in the market due to the emergence of new economic agents in the form of business ecosystems, causes the need to search for creative factors of competitiveness. Such, in our opinion, are the social values of the members of modern society, formed under the influence of the leading trends in consumer behavior. The practical and managerial implications of the study are to increase the level of competitiveness of participants in business ecosystems functioning to increase the level of consumer satisfaction. As a result of studying and synchronizing the social values of the modern regional community, the actual values of potential consumers have been identified, which allows us to form a strategy for the development of business ecosystems, taking into account the result obtained.

Enterprise business models are the object of research in a wide range of economic and management sciences. The value proposition as well as the position in the network of values determine the perceived available options for the transformation of the business model in the context of digitalisation. The aim of the article is to investigate the possible directions of transformation of business models of enterprises under the actualisation of the concept of sustainable development in the digital economy. In order to realize this objective, we analyzed the relevant conceptual and empirical articles, as well as information obtained from extensive empirical research on the conditions of sustainable development of enterprises and changes in consumer values within the framework of the theoretical component. The hypothesis of the study is based on the fact that changes in the values of stakeholders, primarily consumers, determine the transformation of business models. Identifying changes in consumer values in the context of new opportunities to address environmental and social issues provided by digital technologies has allowed us to propose directions for transforming the logic of value creation in business models: transformation of business model components, changes in customization, changes in format management.

The improved method of evaluating the economic efficiency of projects for agricultural machinery modernization is developed and tested in the study. Traditional approaches are based on the use of investment project analysis methods to determine the economic efficiency of agricultural machinery modernization for the manufacturer. The suggested method includes the application of an integrated approach to evaluate the economic efficiency of equipment upgrade for both the manufacturer and the consumer. Benefits for the consumer are determined based on the specifics of developed technical solutions, which can be aimed at increasing the output of the machine, reducing operating costs, etc. The suggested method is tested using the example of analyzing the economic efficiency of the project for upgrading the pre-start system of the tractor engine with the application of a phase transition heat accumulator. The analysis conducted shows sufficient economic viability of technical solutions for both the manufacturer and the consumer of the tractor and indicates the potential for successful use of the improved method.

Modern trends associated with increased requirements for the innovative development of enterprises and the use of new digital technologies and changes in consumer behaviour have destroyed traditional distribution chains, which entailed problems in the distribution of products and services during the transformation of market relations. The main goal of this study is to identify and structure the conditions and criteria for integration into the chain of interaction between the manufacturer and the consumer, taking into account digital changes. To do this, within the framework of the theoretical component, we analyze conceptual and empirical articles contained in the Web of Science database, as well as information obtained from the study of articles by Russian academicians in specialized journals, monographs and conference abstracts. We propose to build the empirical component of the article through a threefold conceptual framework to summarize research in this area. Our starting point is identified as associated triggers. This allows enterprise decision-making criteria to be put forward to evaluate different distribution channel options and opportunities for integration. The results obtained in the course of the study provide a deepening of knowledge about the factors that configure the integration of the distribution system, principles of interaction between the subjects of distribution and the corresponding tools to unite interests. In addition, the relationships and connections established among the participats in digital ecosystems are constantly evolving, therefore the study will be able to show the relationship dynamics and help to analyze the development of interaction over time.

Single-cell ATAC-seq (scATAC-seq) is a recently developed approach that provides means to investigate open chromatin at single cell level, to assess epigenetic regulation and transcription factors binding landscapes. The sparsity of the scATAC-seq data calls for imputation. Similarly, preprocessing (filtering) may be required to reduce computational load due to the large number of open regions. However, optimal strategies for both imputation and preprocessing have not been yet evaluated together. We present SAPIEnS (scATAC-seq Preprocessing and Imputation Evaluation System), a benchmark for scATAC-seq imputation frameworks, a combination of state-of-the-art imputation methods with commonly used preprocessing techniques. We assess different types of scATAC-seq analysis, i.e. clustering, visualization and digital genomic footprinting, and attain optimal preprocessing-imputation strategies. We discuss the benefits of the imputation framework depending on the task and the number of the dataset features (peaks). We conclude that the preprocessing with the Boruta method is beneficial for the majority of tasks, while imputation is helpful mostly for small datasets. We also implement a SAPIEnS database with pre-computed transcription factor footprints based on imputed data with their activity scores in a specific cell type. The article was prepared on the basis of the conceptual research method that relies on the study of academic literature to find and integrate various concepts, including aspects of sustainable development, marketing management of an industrial enterprise, organizational levels of decision-making, and strategic management. The proposed method to determine the goals for sustainable strategic development of industrial enterprises involves assessing the priorities of stakeholders’ interests based on the Mitchell-Agle-Wood Salience Model. Identification of stakeholders, determination of the importance of each of the groups and ranking of their sustainable development goals allow industrial enterprises to justify the concentration of resources in the most important areas of sustainable development for enterprises. The algorithm makes it possible to provide a deeper insight into the stakeholders surrounding the enterprise, due to the fact that the interests of those participating in the business processes are taken into account, which subsequently will have a positive effect on meeting the strategic goal of the enterprise. This allows stakeholders and enterprises to avoid unnecessary expenses and to increase the efficiency of the developed programs. The results obtained would be useful for practitioners who determine the strategic direction of industrial enterprises and are looking for sustainable mechanisms for joint marketing management.

The aim of this study was to investigate the distribution of ultratrace elements in rat tissues and to perform a comparative analysis of hair and serum as potential bioindicators of the total ultratrace element content. Thirty-six male Wistar rats were fed a standard chow containing 0.006±0.000, 0.001±0.000, 0.017±0.002, 0.382±0.031, 0.168±0.014, 3.211±0.134, 0.095±0.006, 0.000±0.000, 6.675±0.336, 15.327±0.564, 0.002±0.000, and 1.185±0.202 μg/g of silver (Ag), gold (Au), cesium (Cs), gallium (Ga), germanium (Ge), lanthanum (La), niobium (Nb), platinum (Pt), rubidium (Rb), titanium (Ti), thallium (Tl)and zirconium (Zr), respectively, from weaning to 3 months old. The ultratrace element content in the liver, kidney, muscle, heart, serum and hair was assessed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The obtained data indicate that the highest concentrations of most of the studied elements (Ti, Zr, Ge, Nb, tungsten (W), La, uranium (U), Ag, Au, Pt) are in hair, whereas the lowest were observed in the serum. Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between concentrations in the hair and other tissues for Cs, Ti, Nb, Tl, La, U and Au. At the same time, serum Cs, Rb, Ti, Ge, Nb, W, Ga, Tl and La concentrations significantly correlated with the tissue content of the respective ultratrace elements. It can be concluded that hair may be used as a potential bioindicator for certain ultratrace element content in the mammalian organism.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing management of retail structures’ innovative development is necessary to measure the effectiveness of the enterprise and to evaluate strategic ways of business development. Both of these areas determine the competitiveness of retail structures (RS). The article substantiates the approach to the effectiveness of marketing management of retail structures’ innovative development based on the compliance of development plans, organizational systems and structures with the strategic goal of innovative development, as well as the possibility of achieving the goals of innovative development strategies at various planning horizons, monitoring and adjusting adopted and/or implemented innovative development plans. Evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing management of retail structures’ innovative development is based on a comprehensive approach to the results of RS development. The paper offers an original approach to evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing management of RS innovative development, which allows you to identify the relationships between the components of the model to determine how the resources involved in marketing management processes generate an impact. The main directions of evaluating the effectiveness of marketing management of retail structures’ innovative development are determined through the effect received by the commodity circulation participants.

Transformation of trade processes together with a system approach is the prerequisite for research of marketing management of innovative development of trade enterprises. The development of theoretical and conceptual provisions of marketing management of retail structures’ (RS) innovative development is based on the study of the evolution of marketing concepts in conjunction with the genesis of retail trade, based on the change of technological structures. The transformation of retail trade development guidelines is determined, depending on changes in the subjects of influence. The most relevant concepts for innovative development are relationship marketing, co-creation marketing, customer experience marketing, and sustainable marketing. An integrated concept of marketing management of RS innovative development is proposed, the task of which is to provide catalyzing market innovation on the one hand and the resulting support for the commercialization of innovations. Based on the study of hierarchical relationships of marketing concepts in trade, features of innovative development of trade, the article defines the multi-paradigm of modern marketing in trade, which allows us to form the concept of marketing management of RS innovative development. Its content means the implementation of a customer-oriented and customer-involved retail enterprise management doctrine and is a process designed and managed by marketing, aimed at transforming technologies, methods, forms, and formats of trade
