As a new type of structural-functional material developed in recent years, steel foam has the advantages of high specific strength and specific stiffness, high specific surface area, light weight, energy absorption and shock absorption, porous filtration, electromagnetic shielding and biocompatibility. It has a broad application prospect in aerospace, automobile, shipbuilding, civil engineering, heat dissipation and heat insulation, catalysis and filtration, electromagnetic shielding, biomedical engineering and other fields. In this paper, the research and development situation and existing problems of new steel foam are reviewed, and the preparation process, structure , performance characteristics and application fields of steel form are introduced, including the advantages and disadvantages of the existing preparation process, cell structure characteristics, mechanical properties （yield strength, elastic modulus, energy absorption value）, physical properties （heat dissipation and insulation, sound absorption and insulation, electromagnetic shielding）, biological properties and application of steel foam. The existing problems of steel foam and the limiting factors of its industrial development and application are analyzed. In general, the existing research has proved the feasibility of steel foam development and application as a light-weight high strength structural material and a special functional material, and pointed out the technical and theoretical research work to be carried out in the future.

Controlling the total amount of river pollutant discharge is an important means of water resource protection and management, and it is also a necessary condition for ensuring the normal functioning of water areas. The total amount of pollutant discharge is closely related to the water environmental capacity (WEC). Shifting from the traditional method of calculating WEC to dynamic analyses and calculations, concerning practical applications, in this paper, a dynamic adaptive calculation method is proposed for the river WEC that considers the changes in adaptive demand and hydrological conditions. In this method, the dynamic WEC is represented by intervals based on dynamic changes in different spatial and temporal scales, various calculation methods, hydrological conditions, and parameters. According to the calculation results for the WEC, a variable interval was formed. Taking the Shaanxi section of the main stream of the Wei River as the research object, with the support of an integrated platform, the dynamic adaptive calculation of the WEC in the Shaanxi section of the Wei River was realized, and a corresponding simulation system was constructed. The verification results show that (1) the dynamic calculation of WEC can be realized by freely combining different model methods and calculation conditions; (2) the WEC is described using a variable interval, which has strong applicability and operability; and (3) the simulation system can quickly adapt to the changing needs of practical applications and provide managers with visual and credible decision support. The research results provide a theoretical basis for river water environment pollution prevention and environmental management decision-making and help in the high-quality development of the river basin. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has emerged as the leading cause of chronic liver disease worldwide. Caspase 8 and FADD-like apoptosis regulator (CFLAR) has been identified as a potent factor in mitigating non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) by inhibiting the N-terminal dimerization of apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1). While arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) was previously reported to be associated with increased hepatic glucose production, its involvement in hepatic lipid metabolism remains largely unexplored. The interaction between PRMT1 and CFLAR and the methylation of CFLAR were verified by Co-IP and immunoblotting assays. Recombinant adenoviruses were generated for overexpression or knockdown of PRMT1 in hepatocytes. The role of PRMT1 in NAFLD was investigated in normal and high-fat diet-induced obese mice. In this study, we found a significant upregulation of PRMT1 and downregulation of CFLAR after 48h of fasting, while the latter significantly rebounded after 12h of refeeding. The expression of PRMT1 increased in the livers of mice fed a methionine choline-deficient (MCD) diet and in hepatocytes challenged with oleic acid (OA)/palmitic acid (PA). Overexpression of PRMT1 not only inhibited the expression of genes involved in fatty acid oxidation (FAO) and promoted the expression of genes involved in fatty acid synthesis (FAS), resulting in increased triglyceride accumulation in primary hepatocytes, but also enhanced the gluconeogenesis of primary hepatocytes. Conversely, knockdown of hepatic PRMT1 significantly alleviated MCD diet-induced hepatic lipid metabolism abnormalities and liver injury in vivo, possibly through the upregulation of CFLAR protein levels. Knockdown of PRMT1 suppressed the expression of genes related to FAS and enhanced the expression of genes involved in FAO, causing decreased triglyceride accumulation in OA/PA-treated primary hepatocytes in vitro. Although short-term overexpression of PRMT1 had no significant effect on hepatic triglyceride levels under physiological conditions, it resulted in increased serum triglyceride and fasting blood glucose levels in normal C57BL/6J mice. More importantly, PRMT1 was observed to interact with and methylate CFLAR, ultimately leading to its ubiquitination-mediated protein degradation. This process subsequently triggered the activation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase 1 (JNK1) and lipid deposition in primary hepatocytes. Together, these results suggested that PRMT1-mediated methylation of CFLAR plays a critical role in hepatic lipid metabolism. In order to prepare stainless steel foams (SSFs) with high specific strength, cost-effective performance, and multiple relative density ranges, this work used CaCl2 as a space holder to prepare 304 and 430 SSF samples with different relative densities using the powder metallurgy method. The microstructure and the properties were compared and analyzed by optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and a universal testing machine. The results show that the matrix of 304 SSFs is austenite and 430 is ferrite. In the quasi-static compression test, when the relative density was in the range of 0.33~0.12, their compressive strength increased with the relative density increasing; the maximum compressive strength of 304 SSFs reached 40.29 MPa and that of 430 SSFs was 49.79 MPa. While the compressive strength of 430 SSFs is significantly higher than 304 SSFs at a similar relative density, 304 SSFs show better stability in the plastic deformation stage. When the deformation reached densification, the maximum energy absorption value of 304 SSFs reached 15.94 MJ/m3, while 430 SSFs was 22.70 MJ/m3. The energy absorption value increased with the relative density increasing, and 430 SSFs exhibited a higher energy absorption capacity than 304 SSFs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Water pollution is an important aspect of a national water treatment. Sudden water safety incidents are random and destructive, often bringing about huge losses of life and property. Due to the uncertainty of sudden water pollution, it is difficult to respond in a timely and rapid manner. Emergency personnel must deal with emergencies quickly and effectively to reduce the harm caused by these emergencies. The randomness and uncertainty of sudden water pollution events make emergency work more complicated; it is difficult for current emergency plans to play guiding roles in complex responses. The decision-making and use of traditional water safety procedures largely depend on the experiences of command personnel, as well as on the emergency plan, which often has poor applicability. This can result in ineffective implementation of emergency actions and use of resources stemming from the high subjectivity and low efficiency of emergency plans. In this paper, we summarize previous research on digital planning and platform component technology exploration in order to evaluate the use of sudden water safety emergency procedures. We first analyze the main problems in the construction and use of emergency plans (e.g., the lack of experience and adaptability). Secondly, based on the decision-making support platform, a digital emergency plan database for water pollution emergencies was established by using component technology and knowledge map technology. In doing so, the decision support platform could enable the rapid construction of digital plans that improve application efficiency in an actual response scenario. Finally, through the system example, this system model can be quickly matched from the plan database to the emergency plan that meets the current scenario.
