Objective To evaluate the safety and feasibility of transumbilical single-port laparoscopic uterine artery embolization combined with incision and embryo retrieval in the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy. Methods Eleven patients with cesarean scar pregnancy who underwent transumbilical single-hole laparoscopic uterine artery embolization combined with incision and embryo retrieval were recruited in the study group， and ten patients who underwent multi-hole laparoscopic uterine artery embolization combined with incision and embryo retrieval were assigned into the control group. Baseline data and perioperative clinical data were compared between two groups. Results No significant differences were found in age， number of pregnancies， number of cesarean sections， time interval from last cesarean section， clinical classification， number of days of menopause， and the presence or absence of symptoms of vaginal bleeding between two groups （all P > 0.05）. No significant differences were observed in operation time， intraoperative bleeding and postoperative retention time of catheterization between two groups （all P > 0.05）. In the study group， postoperative numeric rating scale （NRS） score was significantly lower and the length of hospital stay was significantly shorter compared with those in the control group （both P < 0.05）. Conclusions Compared with traditional multi-port laparoscopic uterine artery embolization combined with incision and embryo retrieval， transumbilical single-port laparoscopic uterine artery embolization combined with incision and embryo retrieval is a feasible and safe procedure， which can alleviate postoperative pain， shortern the length of hospital stay and yield better cosmetic results.

Background: Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) is well known to manifest a miscarriage-inducing effector during early pregnancy and activate macrophage to induce M1 macrophage polarization. However, the role of macrophage polarization in LPS-related miscarriage-inducing effect is not apparent. Methods: In this work, gene expression changes and the percentage of M1/M2 macrophages and monocytes in LPS-induced miscarried uterus were firstly analyzed by RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and Flow Cytometry. To explore the origin that contributes to M1/M2 macrophage differentiation, the expression of monocyte chemotactic protein (MCP-1), CCL3, and CCL4, chemokines related to monocyte/macrophage migration, was tested by quantitative real time PCR (qRT-PCR). Results: We found that percentage of M1 macrophages rose, while the percentage of M2 macrophages declined down in the injected mice uterus. Meanwhile, the percentage of M1 and M2 macrophages showed no significant difference in the spleens of LPS injected mice compared to PBS injected control mice. Expression of Mcp-1, Ccl3, and Ccl4 and numbers of monocytes were remarkably up-regulated in LPS-induced miscarried mice uterus. Conclusion: These results indicated that polarization and proportion changes of macrophage in the uterus may contribute to miscarriage. Our work provides new evidence correlating the aberrant regulation of M1/M2 macrophage polarization with deleterious miscarriage-inducing effects. Simple Summary: Live fish transport often induces stress, while gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is considered to exhibit anti-stress effects. This study aims to explore the effects of GABA on alleviating the transport stress of tawny puffer (Takifugu flavidus) by detecting water quality parameters, plasma biochemical indices, energy metabolism indicators, and antioxidant indexes. The results indicated that 50 and 150 mg/L GABA treatments exert anti-stress effects significantly on the tawny puffer, which provides a scientific basis for the development of GABA as an effective additive for aquatic animals' live transport. Live fish transportation is crucial for managing aquaculture but can pose health risks to fish due to stressors encountered during transportation. Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that plays a crucial role in the central nervous system and is considered to exhibit anti-stress effects. This study aims to investigate the effects of GABA on the transport water quality, plasma biochemical indices, energy metabolism, and antioxidant capacity of tawny puffer (Takifugu flavidus) under transport stress. Tawny puffer were pretreated by immersing in aquariums containing GABA (final concentrations at 0, 5, 50, and 150 mg/L) seawater for 3 days; then, simulated transport was conducted using oxygen-filled polyethylene bags containing the same concentration of GABA seawater as the pretreatment period. Water samples, plasma, and liver were collected after 0, 6, and 12 h of transport. The results revealed that with the prolongation of transportation time, the control group's water quality deteriorated, stress-related plasma biochemical indices increased, glycolytic substrate contents decreased, glycolytic enzyme activities and product contents increased, and aerobic metabolic enzyme activities exhibited initial increases followed by declines, ATPase activities decreased, antioxidant enzyme activities decreased, and the lipid peroxidation marker contents increased. It is noteworthy that GABA treatment could avoid water quality deterioration during transportation, inhibit an elevation in stress-related biochemical indicators, regulate energy metabolism, and reduce oxidative damage in tawny puffer, especially at 50 and 150 mg/L concentrations. Objective To compare the efficacy and safety between liposome-paclitaxel plus carboplatin and paclitaxel plus carboplatin on epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods We randomly divided 198 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer who had undertook at least six chemotherapy circles after operation into two groups: the experimental group were treated with liposome-paclitaxel (175mg/m2)+carboplatin AUC5 and the control group were treated with paclitaxel (175mg/m2)+carboplatin AUC5. One cycle of chemotherapy was 21 days. A strict observation in the efficacy and adverse reactions of two groups was started from the second chemotherapy cycle. Results The total effective rates (CR+PR) in the experimental group and control group were 50.50% vs. 53.60% (P=0.738). There were 22(11.11%) recurrent cases after chemotherapy, among which six patients 6(27.27%) patients in the experimental group and 16(72.72%) patients in the control group (P=0.029). The incidences of allergic reactions, alopecia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hepatic dysfunction in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05), while there was no significant difference in terms of other adverse reactions (P > 0.05). Conclusion Compared with paclitaxel plus carboplatin group, the efficacy of liposome-paclitaxel plus carboplatin group is equivalent, the recurrence rate is lower in follow-up period, and the incidence of adverse events is significantly lower, including allergic reactions, bone marrow suppression, gastrointestinal reactions and liver dysfunction.

Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is considered as a dominant contributor to low back pain (LBP), causing severe pain, limited range of lumbar motion, physical dysfunction, and restriction of social activity. However, the specific pathological mechanisms underlying IDD remain elusive, and effective strategies to delay the pathogenesis of IDD are still unclear and limited. In recent years, some studies have found that nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), an important antioxidant transcription factor, may play crucial roles in the pathogenesis and progression of age-related diseases including IDD. Nrf2 can maintain redox homeostasis and protecting nucleus pulposus (NP) cells against oxidative stress, inflammatory response, extracellular matrix (ECM) catabolism, cell senescence and cell death involving in the progression of IDD. In this review, we aim to systematically describe the vital roles and pathological mechanism of Nrf2 signaling axis in the pathogenesis of IDD, which may put forward potential therapeutic strategies for the prevention and treatment of IDD by targeting Nrf2. Lead‐free all‐inorganic Cs3Cu2Cl5 perovskites, a member of the metal‐metal halide material family, have attracted pronounced attention owing to their low toxicity, facile fabrication strategies, considerable ambient stability, and intriguing photoelectric properties. However, the application of environmentally friendly copper‐based Cs3Cu2Cl5 in memristors has been rarely reported to the authors' knowledge. Herein, multifunctional memristors with the coexistence of non‐volatile memory (MS) and volatile threshold switching (TS) behaviors are introduced based on an innovative Ag–In–Zn–S/Cs3Cu2Cl5 heterostructure. The inserted Ag–In–Zn–S quantum dots layer may provide an effective method for guiding the formation of the dominant metallic Ag filaments, resulting in considerably stable and controllable multiple switching behaviors. Additionally, the heterostructure memristor is capable of imitating some essential biological synaptic functions, including long‐term potentiation (LTP), long‐term depression (LTD), and the short‐term memory (STM) to long‐term memory (LTM) transition. Furthermore, the famous conditioning Pavlov's dog experiment corresponding to associative learning is electronically simulated by the studied device. Moreover, utilizing the devices' LTP and LTD properties, relatively high recognition accuracies for small and large digits datasets are achieved through a three‐layer artificial neural network, revealing the feasibility of implementing neuromorphic computation using heterostructure memristors. A two-dimensional graphene-like carbon nitride (g-CN) monolayer decorated with the superatomic cluster NLi4 was studied for reversible hydrogen storage by first-principles calculations. Molecular dynamics simulations show that the g-CN monolayer has good thermal stability at room temperature. The NLi4 is firmly anchored on the g-CN monolayer with a binding energy of −6.35 eV. Electronic charges are transferred from the Li atoms of NLi4 to the g-CN monolayer, mainly due to the hybridization of Li(2s), C(2p), and N(2p) orbitals. Consequently, a spatial local electrostatic field is formed around NLi4, leading to polarization of the adsorbed hydrogen molecules and further enhancing the electrostatic interactions between the Li atoms and hydrogen. Each NLi4 can adsorb nine hydrogen molecules with average adsorption energies between −0.152 eV/H2 and −0.237 eV/H2. This range is within the reversible hydrogen storage energy window. Moreover, the highest achieved gravimetric capacity is up to 9.2 wt%, which is superior to the 5.5 wt% target set by the U.S. Department of Energy. In this study, BaTiO3/Bi2WO6 was prepared via a facile hydrothermal method and tested as the anode catalyst in piezo-photocatalytic fuel cells (PZ-PFC) degrading rhodamine B (RhB). The optimal composite catalyst H11 has a molar ratio of 1:1 for BaTiO3 to Bi2WO6. It was characterized using TEM, XPS and UV–Vis etc. Its performance in PFC on stainless-steel anode (counter carbon rod cathode) and the reaction rate constant in RhB removal is 7.13 times the BaTiO3 anode and 5.26 times the Bi2WO6 anode. The reaction rate constant using H11 in PZ-PFC was 0.08 min −1 with visible light irradiation and constant aeration, it was 115 times the PFC without aeration and 3.15 times the PZ-FC without photocatalysis, indicating the strong synergy of photocatalysis with piezoelectric catalysis in PZ-PFC. With only 0.07 mM peroxymonosulfate (PMS), forming the PMS-PZ-PFC, the kinetic reaction rate constant (K) was 0.14 min−1, 1.66 times the PZ-PFC system. Singlet oxygen and hydroxy radicals played more significant role in degrading pollutant in such process. With micro/nano bubble in the PMS-PZ-PFC, the reaction rate constant was higher than without micro/nano bubble. The PMS-PZ-PFC synergy system has high application potential in water treatment. Highlights: BaTiO3/Bi2WO6 was used as anodic catalyst in a piezo-photocatalytic fuel cell. The prepared catalyst at optimal ratio had the highest degradation of RhB.
