Introduction One of the relatively new dairy products is cheese sauce, which can increase the consumption of cheese per capita and replace unhealthy sauces. Process functionality achieved by adding useful compounds to food in order to improve properties of foods while maintaining its appearance. Nowadays, due to the importance of some compounds such as essential fatty acids, antioxidants and fiber, the demand for consuming products containing these compounds in the diet is increasing. Date kernel extract contains fiber, antioxidants, lignans and essential fatty acids. Also, date kernels contain micronutrient such as selenium, iron, calcium, phenolic compounds, sterols, tocopherols, metal ions and essential amino acids. The functional properties of phenolic compounds and flavonoids in date kernels have also been proven. On the other hand, whey as a by-product in dairy plants has many nutritional properties and contains many essential and functional amino acids. In addition to the nutritional properties of whey powder, its technological properties such as creating viscosity are considered important in sauces formulation. The purpose of this research was to prepare cheese sauce using such compounds so that while preparing a useful product, it is possible to prevent the wastage of valuable by-products. Materials and Methods In this research, in order to prepare cheese sauce powder, the homogenized mixture was turned into powder by a spray dryer at 180°C. During the treatment of samples, date kernel extract was formulated at three levels of zero (control), 5 and 15%. In the treatments, one sample without whey and another sample with 15% of the final formula was considered. The effect of Date kernel extract and whey on the physicochemical properties of cheese sauce powder samples were investigated by determining solubility, dry matter, protein, total phenol, pH, viscosity and antioxidant activity. The organoleptic properties of samples, were also studied in 5-hedonic points. The results were analyzed in the form of a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 3 replications. The software used was SPSS and the comparison of mean was done by Duncan's method at the 5% level. Graphs were plotted using Excel software. Results and Discussion The results showed that increasing the level of date kernel extract in the formulation of cheese sauce powder containing whey led to the improvement of the antioxidant power of cheese sauce and its phenolic compounds due to the presence of compounds such as gallic acid and cysteine amino acids in whey. High levels of date kernel extract in the presence of whey improved its solubility due to the increase in the amount of protein and dry matter of the sauce powder. It was also observed in the results obtained from the viscosity measurement that the presence of whey along with the date kernel extract reduced the viscosity by adjusting the percentage of carbohydrates. The result obtained in relation to the reduction of protein percentage in the conditions of simultaneous use of whey and date kernel extract was probably due to the precipitation of whey proteins based on the interaction with the carbohydrate components of date kernel extract leading to formation of unsolved products during the drying process. The presence of protein and essential amino acids, carbohydrates and fiber, mineral salts, vitamins and antioxidants in the final product increased the percentage of dry matter in samples containing high percentage of extract along with whey. Changes in pH were also not significant in different treatments. Overall, the results showed that the use of seemingly useless compounds can be significantly effective on the properties of cheese sauce and improve the properties of cheese sauce and finally produce a functional product.

Abstract Background Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disabling disease of the central nervous system. People living with MS often have co-existing sleep disorders and cognitive dysfunction. The objective of this study was to scrutinize the relationship between cognitive outcomes and sleep conditions in MS. Methods This study followed the Joanna Briggs Institute’s (JBI) and PRISMA guidelines. PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and Web of Science databases were searched and original studies delineating the relationship between sleep status and cognitive findings in MS patients‌ were included. The risk of bias was assessed using the JBI critical appraisal tools. Results In the final review, out of 1635 screened records, 35 studies with 5321 participants were included. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), and polysomnography were the most common assessment tools for evaluation of sleep condition, and cognitive evaluations were conducted using the tests including Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test (PASAT), California Verbal Learning Test (CVLT), Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT) and Brief Visuospatial Memory Test (BVMT). Assessing the quality of studies showed no significant bias in most of the included articles. A link between sleep condition and cognitive abilities was suggested in the literature, especially with objective measurement of sleep condition; however, current evidence did not support a substantial association between self-reported sleep quality and processing speed and working memory in patients with MS. Discussion Evidence proposes sleep is an independent factor associated with cognitive outcomes in MS. Given the limitations of the evidence such as the lack of well-designed prospective studies, these findings need to be interpreted with caution.

Background: Quality of life (QoL) of women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the fundamental issues and public health challenges. This study examines the QoL among pregnant women with GDM through a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods: A search was conducted in Scopus, PubMed, and the Web of Science databases for articles published until Jan 30, 2024. Manual searches of gray literature, Google Scholar, reference checks, and citation checks were conducted. The JBI’s Critical Appraisal Checklist for Analytical Cross-Sectional Studies was utilized to assess the quality of the articles’ reporting. The random model implemented in Stata software (version 16; Stata Corp.) was utilized to conduct the meta-analysis. Results: Among the 516 studies obtained from the literature, only 15 were deemed suitable for inclusion. Most studies (73.3%) were conducted in nations with high-income levels. Additionally, general QoL was assessed in most studies (11 studies). The SF-36 and WHOQOLBREF questionnaires were the most often utilized. Based on the SF-36 measure, there was no statistically significant difference in the QoL of patients with GDM compared to the control group in most of dimensions. The WHOQOL-BREF instrument was utilized to estimate the QoL score at 49.69. The EQ-5D-5L tool revealed a difference in QoL scores between the GDM and control groups (MD=-7.40). The research findings were highly heterogeneous. The median evaluation score for the reporting quality of the articles was calculated to be 5, with a mean of 4.8 out of 7. Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that GDM reduces the QoL of pregnant women, especially in terms of mental and social health. Therefore, interventions and support programs should be designed and implemented to improve these women’s QoL.

Abstract Purpose The classification of trauma patients in emergency settings is a constant challenge for physicians. However, the Injury Severity Score (ISS) is widely used in developed countries, it may be difficult to perform it in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). As a result, the ISS was calculated using an estimated methodology that has been described and validated in a high-income country previously. In addition, a simple scoring tool called the Kampala Trauma Score (KTS) was developed recently. The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of KTS and estimated ISS (eISS) in order to achieve a valid and efficient scoring system in our resource-limited setting. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study between December 2020 and March 2021 among the multi-trauma patients who presented at the emergency department of Imam Reza hospital, Tabriz, Iran. After obtaining informed consent, all data including age, sex, mechanism of injury, GCS, KTS, eISS, final outcome (including death, morbidity, or discharge), and length of hospital stay were collected and entered into SPSS version 27.0 and analyzed. Results 381 multi-trauma patients participated in the study. The area under the curve for prediction of mortality (AUC) for KTS was 0.923 (95%CI: 0.888–0.958) and for eISS was 0.910 (95% CI: 0.877–0.944). For the mortality, comparing the AUCs by the Delong test, the difference between areas was not statistically significant (p value = 0.356). The diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) for the prediction of mortality KTS and eISS were 28.27 and 32.00, respectively. Conclusion In our study population, the KTS has similar accuracy in predicting the mortality of multi-trauma patients compared to the eISS.

ABSTRACT Background: Functional constipation (FC) is a common global high prevalence issue in children. Objective: The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the effect of visceral manipulation (VM) on children with chronic interacble FC unresponsive to the standard treatment. Methods: This study was conducted as a randomized, single-blind controlled trial. Fifty-two children with refractory chronic functional constipation unresponsive to the standard medical treatment were randomly allocated to two groups of 26 control (standard medical care (SMC)) and 26 intervention (SMC with VM) for 4 weeks. Abdominal pain, painful defecation, stool consistency, defecation frequency, and the dose of oral laxative were evaluated before and after the treatment period using the Pain Rating Scale, Bristol stool form scale, and patient/parents report. Results: At the end of treatment, except for the dose of oral laxative in the control group, all of the results showed a significant difference in both groups (P0.05). Introduction: With the emergence of new and re-emerging diseases and their medical staff and students facing infectious diseases, it was felt necessary to support them regarding the stress and anxiety caused by the disease. Therefore, this study was conducted to design, implement, and evaluate a workshop on mindfulness in clinical encounters for nursing students. Method: This educational research was conducted on 66 nursing students based on the Glasik criteria. First, the needs and goals were determined based on the literature review and expert panel; the workshop was designed with a focused group of student representatives, and then the implementation of the program began. For evaluation, the satisfaction form was used to measure learning, anxiety, and performance. Results: The average satisfaction of the learners with the efficiency of the course was 32.3 and the satisfaction with the organization of the course was 25.6. The average work participation before the workshop was 19.33 ± 6.19, which after the workshop was 28.13 ± 4.69 and was significant (P < 0.001). The average anxiety before the workshop was 20.40 ± 10.73, but after the workshop decreased to 10.90 ± 13.64 and was significant (P < 0.001). The mean of mindfulness before the workshop was 89.46 ± 17.16, which reached 99.26 ± 18.70 after the workshop (P = 0.007). Conclusion: The mindfulness workshop provides a suitable opportunity to practice techniques for dealing with stress and critical situations for undergraduate students who have fewer skills. It is suggested to investigate this intervention at other educational levels.

IntroductionAppropriate and effective decolorization of raw and thin juice in sugar refineries is considered as an important process to obtain premium quality sugar, which due to the problems of its conventional process, membrane processes as effective and environmentally friendly processes can be used in parts of sugar industries. Among the disadvantages of the usual methods to remove membrane fouling, it can be mentioned the destruction of the membrane, environmental pollution, the remaining detergents in the membrane and the product, especially in the pharmaceutical and food industries, and the increase in production costs. Therefore, it seems that physical methods such as pre-filtration of the incoming feed, using turbulent and pulse currents to prevent excessive compression of the gel layer formed on the membrane surface are more effective and have fewer disadvantages. One of the ways to change the flow of feed entering the membrane surface is bubbling, which causes mixing the flow and increases the tangential shear stress. In fact, the hydrodynamic force that creates bubbles causes both the dragging force and the lifting force and leads to the removal of fouling and reducing the phenomenon of concentration polarization. Materials and Methods In this research, an ultrafiltration membrane (MWCO=10 KDa) pilot with a flat module (effective surface 40 square centimeters) was used to purify raw beet juice (which had passed a stage of pre-treatment with microfiltration) at the temperature of about 30 degrees Celsius and a trans membrane pressure of 3.5 bar during the process. Nitrogen gas in the amount of 0.5, 1 and 1.5 liters per minute was used in two continuous and interrupted modes for bubbling. In this way, in the interrupted mode, after every 3 minutes of filtration, the filtration process was carried out with gas for one minute. The factors such as flux, fouling and membrane resistance as membrane efficiency's factors and parameters like color, purity and turbidity as purification factors was investigated in the form of a completely random design and compared with control filtration conditions (without bubble generation). The results of this research were statistically analyzed using SAS (version 1.9) and Microsoft Office Excel 2019 software. The average data of each test in three repetitions was compared with the least significant difference (LSD) test at the 95% level. Results and DiscussionIncreasing the amount of gas during the bubbling process improved the flow rate. Also, the results showed that the decreasing trend of the permeate flux at the gassing rate of 1.5 L/min was less than other treatments and more stable conditions were seen in the sap flux during the process. Also, the amount of flux in the interrupted form of bubbling showed that after the application of bubbling, although the amount of flux increased, but after that, during the ultra-refining process, the flux decreased again and did not remain constant at that level. But in general, despite the fact that the average flux was higher in the continuous process compared to the interrupted state, there was no significant difference between them. The results related to the amount of membrane fouling after applying the process showed that by applying bubble generation in both continuous and interrupted mods, the fouling was significantly reduced compared to the usual state of ultrafiltration. Also, as the amount of gas entering the feed stream increased, the membrane fouling decreased, which was slightly higher in the continuous state than in the interrupted mod. The overall hydrodynamic resistance of the membrane in different filtration modes showed that the difference between the overall resistance of the membrane in the ultrafiltration and the ultrafiltration process with gasification is quite significant. Abstract Background Methylmalonic acidemia is a very rare genetic metabolic disease. Patients with isolated methylmalonic acidemia typically present with acute alterations of consciousness, failure to thrive, anorexia, vomiting, respiratory distress, and muscular hypotonia. Despite the evidence-based management, affected individuals experience significant morbidity and mortality. Hyperkalemia is one of the unusual complications of methylmalonic acidemia. Case presentation In this paper, we describe a 4-year-old Persian boy with methylmalonic acidemia who developed life-threatening arrhythmia following severe hyperkalemia and metabolic acidosis. Emergent management of the condition was successfully carried out, and the rhythm changed to normal sinus rhythm by effectively reducing the serum potassium level. We discuss the possible etiology of this lethal condition and describe its management on the basis of the available evidence. Conclusion During metabolic decompensation in methylmalonic acidemia, frequent blood gas and electrolyte testing to prescribe and adjust therapy and annual echocardiogram and electrocardiogram screening are essential.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the impact of a positive education program grounded in Seligman's PREMA model on the self-efficacy and engagement of students enrolled in online courses. In terms of objective and methodology, this study was experimental research employing a repeated measurements design; it was also an application of research. During the 2019-2020 academic year, secondary public elementary schools in the eleventh district of Tehran comprised the statistical population of the present study. A secondary elementary school located in the 11th district of Tehran was selected using the convenient sampling method. The research was carried out on the entire student body of this elementary school, which consisted of 315 female students. The instruments utilized for data collection were the online student engagement scale (OSE), and online learning self-efficacy scale (OLSES). SPSS software was utilized to conduct multivariate analysis of variance for repeated measures on the data. The outcomes demonstrated that the implementation of a positive education program increased online students' engagement and self-efficacy. The findings of this study may provide educational psychologists and school counselors with valuable insights for developing and executing initiatives that foster student motivation and flourishing.

Abstract Background Generally, infertile men hide their depression, which can threaten their health and lower their quality of life. Given the role of depression and its impact on people's health, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to investigate the prevalence of depression in infertile men. Methods This research is a systematic review and meta-analysis based on preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA). Using the keywords of "Depression", "Emotional Depression", "Infertility", "Prevalence", and "Epidemiology", all English language articles were searched in international databases (PubMed, Cochran library, Web of sciences, Scopus, Embase, PsyINFO, and Google scholar) by two reviewers independently and without considering the time limit until September 2022. Title, abstract, full text and quality of each study were evaluated by two reviewers independently using the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale checklist. The results were analyzed using programming language and R software, and I2 test and Egger's Test were used to check heterogeneity and publication bias, respectively. Results Twenty-two studies were included in the systematic part of this study; and 8 different measurement tools were used to identify depression. Then, based on the possibility of meta-analysis, 18 studies were included in 4 subgroups. Given the heterogeneity of the articles, random effect model was used. The overall prevalence of depression in infertile men was 18.30%. The lowest and highest overall prevalence of depression in men was reported to be 14.04% and 23.63% in the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (ZDS) and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS) tools, respectively. The overall prevalence of depression among infertile men was reported to be 18.55% and 16.75% using the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) tools, respectively. Conclusion Based on the findings of this study, the significant prevalence of depression in infertile men requires a specific attention and planning. The study revealed varying degrees of depression among infertile men, emphasizing the importance of assessing their mental health, specifically in terms of depression, during infertility treatments as a hidden variable. It is strongly recommended to develop training programs for health service providers to effectively utilize diagnostic tools in this particular field.

Introduction Gelatin is one of the most widely used colloidal proteins, which has unique hydrocolloidal property. Gelatin is derived from collagen by changing the thermal nature. This product is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, biomedical, cosmetic and photography industries. Global gelatin demand for food and non-food products is increasing. Two important properties of nanoparticles are: Increasing the surface-to-volume ratio of nanoparticles causes the atoms on the surface to have a much greater effect on their properties than the atoms within the particle volume. The effects of quantum size, which is the second feature. Methods for preparing nanoparticles from natural macromolecules: In general, two major methods for making protein nanoparticles have been reported Emulsion-solvent evaporation method and sedimentation or phase separation method in aqueous medium. Numerous methods have been reported for the preparation of nanoparticles from natural macromolecules. The first method is based on emulsification and the second method is based on phase separation in aqueous medium. In the first method, due to the instability of the emulsion, it is not possible to prepare nanoparticles smaller than 500 nm with a narrow particle size distribution. Therefore, coagulation method or anti-solvent method which is based on phase separation was proposed to prepare nanoparticles from natural macromolecules. Materials and Methods Type B (cow) gelatin was purchased from processing company with Bloom 260-240 food and pharmaceutical Iran solvent gelatin solution of 25% aqueous acetate glutaraldehyde from Iran Neutron Company. Two-stage anti-solvent method was used to produce gelatin nanoparticles. Then, to form nanoparticles, acetone was added dropwise while stirring until the dissolved acetone begins to change color and eventually turns white, which indicates the formation of nanoparticles. Finally, glutaraldehyde solution was added for cross-linking and finally centrifuged. Results and Discussion The results showed that with increasing gelatin concentration, nanoparticle size and PDI increased significantly. According to the announced results, the solvent has a direct effect on the size. Therefore, the best mixing speed is determined to achieve the smallest particle size. Zeta potential is the best indicator for determining the electrical status of the particle surface and a factor for the stability of the potential of the colloidal system because it indicates the amount of charge accumulation in the immobile layer and the intensity of adsorption of opposite ions on the particle surface. If all the particles in the suspension are negatively or positively charged, the particles tend to repel each other and do not tend to accumulate. The tendency of co-particles to repel each other is directly related to the zeta potential. Fabricated gelatin nanoparticles have a stable structure, and are heat resistant. These nanoparticles are ready to be used to accept a variety of aromatic substances, compounds with high antioxidant properties, a variety of vitamins and heat-sensitive substances. Conclusion The results of this study showed that the optimal conditions for the production of a particle of 88.6 nm at 40 ° C, the volume of acetone consumption was 15 ml, concentration 200 mg and speed 1000 rpm, and the morphology of gelatin nanoparticles have resistant, spherical polymer structure and mesh with a smooth surface that can be clearly seen under an electron microscope.

Abstract The present study was conducted for the spatial distribution and concentration evaluation of heavy metals, including Cu, Cd, Mn, Fe, Zn, and Pb, within 102 soil samples collected from Kushk Mine in Bafgh, Iran. This work employed hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA), principal component analysis (PCA), and spatial distribution patterns, to perform element distribution evaluation within the area. The distributions of heavy metals in the entire area were exhibited in the form of maps. The average concentrations of Cd, Cu, Mn, Fe, Zn, and Pb were found to be 0.39, 0.26, 5.3, 4.1, 51.9, and 40.9 mg.kg−1, respectively. Based on the PCA and HCA findings, the heavy metals were divided into two groups. The first group included Pb, Cd, Zn, and Cu. In the first group, altered threshold‐surpassing anthropogenic and lithogenic pollution was found to be the main factor accounting for Pb and Zn. The second group involved Fe and Mn, which could be impacted by either anthropogenic and lithogenic factors. Furthermore, the geo‐statistical results demonstrated higher contents of the heavy metals in the south of the mine and in the vicinity of the mine tailings. It may be concluded from the results that the heavy metal contents of the area are impacted by anthropogenic and lithogenic factors.

Introduction The physical properties of soil are essential because of their role in supporting plant growth. These characteristics determine how the plant interacts with the soil, absorption of water and nutrients, root penetration, soil temperature, and the activity of microorganisms. Among the physical properties of soil, soil texture has a significant impact. On the other hand, with the increase in the population and the pharmaceutical industry's need for medicinal plants as the primary raw material for drug production, attention and research on the Lippia citriodora plant are essential. L. citriodora is effective in treating colds, asthma, colic, fever, diarrhea, dyspepsia, insomnia, and anxiety. L. citriodora tea is relaxing and soothing to the nerves. Its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects have been proven. Plants containing essential oil, such as L. citriodora may differ in yield and quality of oil according to the type of soil texture, so in order to achieve the highest yield of essential oil and the best quality, the soil should be adapted to the type and needs of the plant for better growth and development be provided. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of different soil textures on the growth and development and the amount of essential oil of L. citriodora in greenhouse conditions. Materials and MethodsThis research has been carried out in pots in the research greenhouse of Yazd University in the crop year of 2017-2018. The experiment was conducted as a randomized complete block design in three replications for five months. Plastic pots with drains of 18 heights, opening diameter of 17 cm, and drain diameter of one cm were used for growing seedlings. The pots with different soil textures (loamy, sandy loam, sand, and silty clay loam) based on the calculation of the weight percent of soil moisture at the field capacity (FC) were irrigated. The length of the stem and roots were measured with a ruler with mm accuracy. A caliper was used to measure the thickness of the stem. The samples of shoots and roots were kept in an oven at 70 °C for 48 hr. A digital scale with an accuracy of 0.001 gr was used to measure the dry weight of the shoots and roots of the plants. In order to measure the root volume after separating and washing the roots, the roots of each replicate were placed inside a graded cylinder with a certain amount of water, and the volume of the root was measured in mm based on the change in the water volume inside the cylinder. To measure the plant leaf surface, five leaves of different sizes were randomly separated from each repetition and different parts of the plant, and using the ADC Bioscienticltd model (AM200) device, the total surface size of each of five leaves was measured in each repetition. The essential oil of L. citriodora was extracted by distillation method with water from a Cloninger machine. In this way, in order to increase the contact surface of the water with the plant in the process of extracting essential oils, first the dry leaves of the L. citriodora, were turned into powder by an electric mill and immediately transferred into a 2000 ml flask, then 500 ml of water was added to it. After boiling in water for three hr, the heat source was cut off and the resulting essential oil was poured into opaque glass containers and stored in a refrigerator at 4 °C. To check the statistical effects of each treatment on the study variables, the normality of the data was checked using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test at the 95% confidence level. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was also used and Duncan's test was applied to compare means. Pearson's correlation method was performed to check the correlation between soil texture and measured traits. Results and Discussion The results showed the significant effects of soil type on the amount of L. citriodora essential oil (P≤0.001). It has shown significant effects on plant height and root volume (P≤0.01) and on the thickness of the stem, the number of leaves per plant and the dry weight of the leaves (P≤0.05). While on some other traits, such as the number of plant branches, fresh weight of aerial parts, fresh weight of leaves, leaf area, root length fresh and dry weight of roots, no significant difference was observed. The results of Pearson's correlation coefficients showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between different soil textures and measured traits. The highest correlation for root length and leaf area was observed with coefficient of 0.89 and 0.80, respectively (P≤0.01). The results of the mean comparison showed that the highest length of the plant was in loamy texture and the lowest was related to silty clay loam texture, the highest number of leaves and dry matter in the aerial part was reported as well as root volume related to loamy texture. To investigate the effect of soil texture on the percentage of essential oil of L. citriodora showed that the highest percentage of essential oil is in silty clay loam texture and, the lowest percentage is related to sandy soil texture. Conclusion The results of investigating the effect of different soil textures on the morphological characteristics of L. citriodora medicinal plant showed that the maximum amount of stem thickness, number of leaves per plant, dry leaf weight, plant height, shoot dry weight, and root volume in L. citriodora was in sandy loam soil texture. Moreover, the highest percentage of essential oil is in silty clay loam texture and the lowest percentage is related to sandy soil texture. According to the obtained results, the L. citriodora plant needs a medium amount of nutrients for growth and development. Since the number of leaves produced by the L. citriodora plant in loam and sandy loam soil texture was more than in other textures. Therefore, it can be concluded that the performance of L. citriodora medicinal plant for producing essential oil in each plant is higher in loamy and sandy loam soils.

IntroductionMayonnaise is a products which is widely popular in most countries. Apart from the desirable taste of this product as a seasoning, plays an effective role in providing nutrients and energy for humans. Dietary mayonnaise, is semi-solid or liquid product prepared from emulsification fat substitutes and vegetable oils with vinegar and other additives with less energy and fat. Fat has more calories (9 kcal/g) compared to protein and carbohydrates (4 kcal/g). Mayonnaise is an oil-in-water emulsion and due to having high amounts of fat it causes cardiovascular diseases. Gums are part of construction formula in low fat products to create texture. Due to the great desire to consume low-fat products and also the wide use of this sauce, production of low-fat mayonnaise is important. The purpose of this research was to develop reduced fat mayonnaise using stabilized nano emulsion with casein complex Pickering and Gadomeh Shirazi gum. Abstract Attention, as it is now defined as a process matching data from the environment to the needs of the organism, is one of the main aspects of human cognitive processes. There are several aspects to attention including tonic alertness (a process of intrinsic arousal that varies by minutes to hours), phasic alertness (a process that causes a quick change in attention as a result of a brief stimulus), selective attention (a process differentiating multiple stimuli), and sustained attention (a process maintaining persistence of response and continuous effort over an extended period). Attention dysfunction is associated with multiple disorders; therefore, there has been much effort in assessing attention and its domains, resulting in a battery of tests evaluating one or several attentional domains; instances of which are the Stroop color-word test, Test of Everyday Attention, Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, and Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery. These tests vary in terms of utilities, range of age, and domains. The role of attention in human life and the importance of assessing it merits an inclusive review of the efforts made to assess attention and the resulting tests; Here we highlight all the necessary data regarding neurophysiological tests which assess human attentive function and investigates the evolution of attention tests over time. Also, the ways of assessing the attention in untestable patients who have difficulty in reading or using a computer, along with the lack of ability to comprehend verbal instructions and executive tasks, are discussed. This review can be of help as a platform for designing new studies to researchers who are interested in working on attention and conditions causing deficits in this aspect of body function, by collecting and organizing information on its assessment.

The purpose of this research was to apply a phenomenological approach to teachers’ perceptions of the performance of Tehran's children. This interpretive and phenomenological method was employed in the field of public-school study for females at the 17 Shahrivar school, located in the District 13 of Tehran in 2020, for the purpose of this study. The teachers’ field of study in Tehran’s District 13, from which 20 persons were randomly selected. Using the Colleizi method, a review of notes is set up to analyze review interviews. In this study, there are nine themes and forty-four subthemes titled emotion regulation, learning skills, family, child’s nature, environmental factor, intellectual maturity disorder, communication skill training, and playing, and 44 sub-themes. The research findings addressed the perceptions and perceptions of teachers regarding the concept of resilience in children, the main factors and components of creating resilience in children, the reasons for the lack of resilience in children, the effects and consequences of the lack of resilience in children, and finally the most effective methods for enhancing resilience in children. In light of the present research, it is suggested that parent training programs should also aim to modify educational strategies and behavior patterns and enhance relationships in the structure of equations and connections. Given that environmental and interpersonal conditions play a significant role in children’s lack of resilience and that this study was conducted on a specific statistical population, it is recommended that future research include children of divorce or children with addicted parents.

Introduction: Vasomotor symptoms during menopause occur on average in 75% of women. Hot flashes are the most common of these symptoms. Hormonal drugs are the most effective method of treatment. Due to the known risks of hormone therapy, many researchers have investigated the effect of herbal medicines to improve vasomotor symptoms, especially hot flashes. This study was performed with aim to investigate the clinical trial studies conducted on the effectiveness of various herbal medicines on hot flashes. In this situation, injectable cotrimoxazole is a better choice for treatment. Abstract Toxoplasma gondii is a worldly distributed obligate intracellular protozoa. Toxoplasmosis is a prevalent opportunistic infection in HIV‐infected people, but it was rarely recorded prior to the identification of HIV infection. Here, we report a toxoplasmosis brain lesion in an Iranian HIV‐positive patient. A 45‐year‐old woman with a complaint of malaise was referred to the Valiasr Hospital in Arak city. In her past clinical history, the patient had a history of anemia, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and positive HIV. The patient was informed of the diagnosis of massive brain toxoplasmosis as a definite diagnosis. The patient was then taken to the operating room for a left decompressive craniectomy, during which the ensuing brain lesion was excised. After a few days, she was discharged from the hospital in good condition and without any complications.

Decrease in nitrosamine and optimal smell and flavour gives credit to such meat products as fermented sausages for their considerable optimal storage period and better nutritional values. Replacing red meat with fish and using replacer fat and probiotics in such products have played a great role in the production of such a highly functional food. Therefore, the focus of this study is mainly on the production of fermented trout sausages applying Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus plantarum, substituting part of its fat with inulin while examining the physicochemical, textural, dietary, and sensory properties. The results showed that samples containing inulin lost less moisture over time (less than 4%). The fat content of the samples did not differ significantly over time and was almost the same. However, the pH of the samples containing probiotics decreased more than the control sample and reached about 4.6-4.8. Inulin content samples caused a marked decline in lightness and an increase in redness. Meanwhile, probiotic presence has caused more declines in lightness intensity in samples. Inulin content samples show more hardness as compared to high fat samples and the probiotics present after pH decline to isoelectric point caused an increase in intensity and hardness of protein fibers. Simultaneously, along with an increase in fat, cohesiveness increased. Nitrosamine content in probiotic samples was lower than the one in test sample much as there was an increase seen in all samples. Despite a little more odour being present, sensory analysis was in favour of the test samples. Other samples demonstrated little difference in sensory evaluation.

The performance of grain combine harvesters is determined by three factors: threshing power, losses and fuel consumption. Loss can be reduced by separating processes and providing a suitable mathematical model for each of them by examining and measuring the factors influencing loss and optimizing their function. This model is then to be used for the purposes of controlling the system. An important process that has a significant impact on combine loss is the cleaning system. This study modelled and optimized the function of a cleaning system using response surface methodology (RSM). Feed rate, fan speed, and upper sieve opening were considered independent variables; the percentage of grain passage, content of materials-other-than-grains (MOG), and semi threshed cluster (s.t.c.) passing through the upper sieve were viewed as dependent variables. The results showed a significant effect of all three independent variables on the percentage of free grains with a probability level of 0.01. However, not all interactions were significant. Moreover, it was found that only mechanical factors had a significant effect on the percentage of s.t.c. passing, while fan speed and all interactions showed no significant effect. All three independent variables significantly affected the MOG content passing. An appropriate exponential model was found for all three dependent variables. Subsequently, the optimal conditions were determined for the maximum passage of free grains through the upper sieve and the minimum MOG at 3.33 kg·s−1 feed rate, 742 rpm fan speed, and an upper sieve with 10 mm openings with a desirability of 0.84, based on RSM modelling.

Due to the importance of halophyte species in the reclamation of saline lands, the present study was conducted to investigating the effects of different levels of salinity on growth traits and enzymatic of Salsola imbricata in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications and seven levels of salinity including 3, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 dS m-1 at research greenhouse of National Salinity Research Center. Traits of stem length, root length, root-shoot length ratio, collar diameter, number of branches, protein content, catalase, peroxidase, and proline were measured. Results showed that different levels of salinity were significant for all studied traits except peroxidase. Increasing salinity levels from 3 dS m-1 to 60 dS m-1, significantly reduced shoot length at the rate of 20%, root length 30%, root-shoot length ratio 11%, collar diameter 38%, and the number of branches per plant 29%. Increasing salinity from 3 dS m-1 to 40 dS m-1 decreased protein content by 30%, but the protein content increased by 26.7% by increasing salinity up to 50 and 60 dS m1. Results of enzymatic activities showed that increasing salinity significantly increased the amount of catalase, peroxidase, and proline, so the highest of these compounds was observed at 60 dS m1.

Background and Objectives: The vision-related quality of life (VRQoL) questionnaire has already been developed. However, some items of these instruments are not suitable for Iranian samples. This study aims to develop the Persian version of this questionaire to evaluate the functional vision of visually impaired Iranian people. Methods: The VRQoL questionnaire was evaluated and 43 items were chosen as an initial questionnaire. Ten visually impaired people were interviewed to express their idea about the position and manner of expressing questions in the questionnaire. Some items were excluded and the remained items were given to 30 patients as well as some visual impairment specialists. Their opinions about the face validity of the questionnaire were used. The content validity of this instrument called the Iranian low vision questionnaire (ILVQ) was evaluated using Lawshe’s content validity ratio. To construct validity, factor analysis was used. Internal reliability was evaluated using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Results: The reduction of psychometric items showed that three items should be eliminated and a 32-item questionnaire was produced as an Iranian low vision questionnaire (ILVQ). This local instrument has performance-based (13 items) and self-reported (19 items) sections with a five-point response scale. Due to the high nutritional value of vitamin D3 and its instability in various environmental and processing conditions, the need to preserve it through techniques such as capsulation during nutrification is felt. In this study, vitamin D3 was encapsulated in the structure of niosomes based on various surfactants (Span 60, Tween 20, and 80) and cholesterol with ratios (80:20 and 60:40 w/w) using by thin layer hydration-sonication method. It was found that the niosomes prepared with tween 20 and 80 with a surfactant to cholesterol ratio (80:20 w/w) had the lowest mean particle size distribution, lowest polydispersity index, and the highest zeta potential magnitude. Also, these samples had high encapsulation efficiency and their sizes were in the nanoscale. The stability of vitamin D3 was determined during 1 month at refrigerator condition for nanoniosomes samples based on tween 20 and 80 with a surfactant to cholesterol ratio (80:20 w/w). The results showed that tween 20 based nanoniosomes were more stable than tween 80 based samples during 1 month storage. Also, the bioaccessibility of vitamin D3 after complete digestion was evaluated under simulated gastrointestinal conditions. Abstract Objective This study was aimed to present a conceptual framework about the misinformation surrounding COVID-19 outbreak in Iran. For this purpose, discourse analysis of two of the most common social virtual networks were conducted via a four step approach as follows: defining the research question and selecting the content of analysis, gathering information and theory on the context, content analysis for establishing the themes and patterns and, presenting the results and drawing conclusions. Results Cultural factors, demand pressure for information during the crisis, the easiness of information dissemination via social networks, marketing incentives and the poor legal supervision of online content are the main reasons for misinformation dissemination. Disease statistics; treatments and prevention are the main subjective categories of releasing misinformation. The consequences of misinformation dissemination include psychosocial, economic, health status, health system and ethical ones. The most recommended strategies for dealing with the issue could be divided into demand and supply-side strategies.

The present study has investigated the frequency of flourishing in gifted students based on four flourishing models. It was a descriptive-comparative study. The sample consisted of 592 male (226) and female (366) high school students (age group 13-15 years) of Tabriz in the academic year of 2018-2019. Participants were selected by cluster sampling method and completed four different flourishing scales. Data were analyzed through cross-tabulation analysis, McNemar test, Cochran's Q test, and Chi-square test. The Results showed significant differences in the flourishing rate based on the flourishing models: 53.3% (based on the Huppert and So model), 63.1% (based on the Diner et al. model), 68.4% (based on the Keys model), and 72/5% (based on the Seligman model). Moreover, the results showed a difference in the prevalence rate of flourishing among male and female students, which favored male students. Results of the cross-tabulation analysis indicated strong agreement between Butler and Kern Scales and Keys (91.6%), Diner et al. and Huppert and So (86%), Butler and Kern and Huppert and So (80/2%), Huppert and So and Diner et al. (80%) and Huppert and So and Keys (79%). On the other hand, the agreement between the Diner et al. scale and Keys (70%) and Diner et al. and Butler and Kern (72%) was moderate. Results indicated that the diagnosis of flourishing depends greatly on the scale used and the combination of different components.

The present study, with the purpose to compare the literacy curriculum in Australia and New Zealand in order to benefit from the experiences of these countries to improve the level of literacy education in Iran in 2020. The approach used in the research is qualitative and comparative in which Australia and New Zealand, due to the high index of human development in 2020, obtaining favorable results in the PIRLS International assessment 2016 and effective activities in the field of literacy, by purposeful sampling have been selected. The data were collected by referring to valid scientific papers and websites of the Ministry of Education and the curriculum and valid documents related to literacy education in selected countries, and were analyzed and compared by Bereday’s four-step method and the similarity and difference method. The findings showed that the goals of literacy education in Iran are well explained and not much different from the literacy goals in selected countries, but determining the levels of literacy in each educational level and standards related to each level as well as education to thematic teachers have been neglected in extending concepts to other subjects that need to be revised and corrected.

Haloxylonplanting and developing artificial forests in arid lands is one of the important actions to combat desertification. In this research, tree planting (by Haloxylon aphyllum Iljin) in Dosangi Meybod in different methods including repairing, runoff control, pitting and planting in owed have been compared with control area. For this purpose, in each area, four 300 m transects were considered randomly - systematically, and 15 plots (10 m2) were randomly collected on each transect. In each plot, vegetation characteristics including total vegetation percentage, density, canopy cover, freshness and depth of root and soil characteristics including moisture, permeability and soil carbon storage were measured. The Shapiro-Wilk test were used to test of normality of the collected data, and were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and Duncan's test. According to the results of analysis of variance, the effect of planting with different methods on crown cover, density, freshness and deep rooting of Haloxylon shrubs and the percentage of vegetation is significant at 1% level. However, its effect on permeability and soil moisture in May is significant at 1% level and on carbon storage is significant at 5% level. Increase of vegetation cover by 5.1%, density of 249.7 number per hectare, Haloxylon cover of 3.7%, freshness class 1.5, soil moisture in spring 38.1% rooting more than 3 m and permeability 8.03 cm/h was related to the planting in dry river, which had a relative success in vegetation development in this region.

Background: The design and development of functional learning materials should be based on individual, family, group, and social characteristics and needs, to ultimately lead an independent life.Given the problems of reading in the slow paced of students with Down syndrome, can the use of functional reading text improve their reading skills? Aims: The aim of this study was survey the effectiveness of Instruction Functional reading texts on accuracy, speed and reading comprehension skills of slow paced of students with Down syndrome. Method: This is a quasi-experimental study (pretest-posttest with one group). Six slow-paced students with Down syndrome studying in special schools in Qom were selected by convenience sampling method. The sample group participated of 81 session of 20 minutes researcher-made functional reading texts education program(2018) and sample group evaluated in the pre-test and post-test stages by the researcher-made reading test(2018).To analyze the data SPSS-19 software and paired T-TEST ere employed.Results: The results showed that Instruction Functional reading texts has led to an increase in the mean scores of the accuracy, speed and reading comprehension skills of slow-paced students with Down syndrome compared to the pre-test(p< 0/05). Conclusions: Therefore, it can be argued that Instruction Functional reading texts is an effective way to improve the reading skills of students with Down syndrome.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the trend of annual changes in Yazd station's meteorological parameters including minimum and maximum average daily temperature and average daily precipitation (1961-2005), as well as the predicted annual mean of these parameters in the three upcoming thirty years of the 2040s, 2070s and 2100s, by the SDSM model, under RCP2.6, RCP4.5, RCP8.5, A2, and B2 scenarios. Accordingly, by using the coefficient of determination and the MAE, R2, RMSE indicators, we evaluated the data generated by the SDSM model in comparison with the observed data in the base period. The lowest value of R2 based on the calibration and validation of the mean values of observed and simulated SRES was obtained for precipitation (86 and 80%). In terms of the R2 evaluation index, the accuracy of the small-scaled results of the minimum and maximum average temperature values was more than that of the average precipitation; however, in terms of the MAE and RMSE evaluation indicators, the accuracy of the small-scaled results of the average precipitation was higher than that of the minimum and maximum average temperature values. Subsequently, HadCM3 large-scale climatological data was used to predict the future periods (2010-2100). The results indicated that the temperature was raised in all months and seasons and the precipitation was decreasing in most of them, thereby confirming that the climate was changing in the studied region.
