Hydroxyl radical (OH) is a key oxidant that triggers atmospheric oxidation chemistry in both gas and aqueous phases. The current understanding of its aqueous sources is mainly based on known bulk (photo)chemical processes, uptake from gaseous OH, or related to interfacial O3 and NO3 radical-driven chemistry. Here, we present experimental evidence that OH radicals are spontaneously produced at the air-water interface of aqueous droplets in the dark and the absence of known precursors, possibly due to the strong electric field that forms at such interfaces. The measured OH production rates in atmospherically relevant droplets are comparable to or significantly higher than those from known aqueous bulk sources, especially in the dark. As aqueous droplets are ubiquitous in the troposphere, this interfacial source of OH radicals should significantly impact atmospheric multiphase oxidation chemistry, with substantial implications on air quality, climate, and health.

This paper builds a cultivation system of innovation and entrepreneurship ability, and puts forward the corresponding cultivation mode and implementation path. At the same time, under the implementation conditions, a multiple linear regression model is used to explore the influence of the integration of aesthetic education on innovation and entrepreneurship ability. The results show that aesthetic interest, aesthetic perception, innovation consciousness and innovation and entrepreneurship ability cultivation are significantly positively correlated, with correlation coefficients of 0.039, 0.025, 0.12 respectively. Multiple covariate diagnosis shows that the model fit is good, the value of VIF is more than 3, and that the influence of aesthetic interest, aesthetic perception, and innovation consciousness on college students’ entrepreneurial intention is significant. Substituted 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole (BTD) is a widely used electron acceptor unit for functional organic semiconductors. Difluorination or annulation on the 5,6-position of the benzene ring is among the most adapted chemical modifications to tune the electronic properties, though each sees its own limitations in regulating the frontier orbital levels. Herein, a hitherto unreported 5,6-annulated BTD acceptor, denoted as ssBTD, is designed and synthesized by incorporating an electron-withdrawing 2-(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)malononitrile moiety via aromatic nucleophilic substitution of the 5,6-difluoroBTD (ffBTD) precursor. Unlike the other reported BTD annulation strategies, this modification leads to the simultaneous decrease in both frontier orbital energies, a welcoming feature for photovoltaic applications. Incorporation of ssBTD into conjugated polymers results in materials boasting broad light absorption, dramatic solvatochromic and thermochromic responses (>100 nm shift and a band gap difference of ∼0.28 eV), and improved crystallinity in the solid state. Such physical properties are in accordance with the combined electron-withdrawing effect and significantly increased polarity associated with the ssBTD unit, as revealed by detailed theoretical studies. Furthermore, the thiolated ssBTD imbues the polymer with ambipolar charge transport property, in contrast to the ffBTD-based polymer, which transports holes only. While the low mobilities (10-4 to 10-5 cm2 V-1 s-1) could be further optimized, detailed studies validate that the thioannulated BTD is a versatile electron-accepting unit for the design of functional stimuli-responsive optoelectronic materials.

The remote control ship is considered to be the most likely implementation of maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS) in the near-term future. With collaborative control from onboard controllers and operators ashore, ships may operate in three navigation control modes (NCMs), manual, autonomous, and remote control, based on different levels of control authority. The scientific selection of the appropriate NCM for MASS under multiple driving modes is crucial for ensuring ship navigation safety and holds significant importance for operators and regulatory authorities overseeing maritime traffic within specific areas. To aid in selecting the proper NCM, this study introduces a risk-based comparison method for determining optimal control modes in specific scenarios. Firstly, safety control paths and processes for MASS under different NCMs are constructed and analyzed using system-theoretic process analysis (STPA). By analyzing unsafe system control actions, key Risk Influencing Factors (RIFs) and their interrelationships are identified. Secondly, a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) process risk assessment model is developed to infer risk performance (hidden state) through measuring RIF states. Cloud modeling with expert judgments is utilized to parameterize the HMM while addressing inherent uncertainty. Lastly, the applicability of the proposed framework was verified through simulation case studies. Typical navigation scenarios of conventional ships in coastal waters were chosen, and real-time data collected by relevant sensors during navigation were used as simulation inputs. Results suggest that in the same scenario, process risks differ among the analyzed NCMs. Traffic complexity, traffic density, and current become the primary factors influencing navigation risks, and it is necessary to select the appropriate NCM based on their real-time changes. This article discusses the recent progress in the development of high-mobility polymer semiconductors with various functionalities. These semiconductors have advantages such as easy solution processing, large-area manufacturing, mechanical strength, and flexibility. The article focuses on the integration of high mobility with stretchability, strong luminescence, photolithography patterning, and efficient thermoelectric conversion. Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing technique, which deposits micro/nanostructures through high electric force, has recently attracted significant research interest owing to their fascinating characteristics in high resolution (<1 μm), wide material applicability (ink viscosity 1–10 000 cps), tunable printing modes (electrospray, electrospinning, and EHD jet printing), and compatibility with flexible/wearable applications. Since the laboratory level of the EHD printed electronics' resolution and efficiency is gradually approaching the commercial application level, an urgent need for developing EHD technique from laboratory into industrialization have been put forward. Herein, we first discuss the EHD printing technique, including the ink design, droplet formation, and key technologies for promoting printing efficiency/accuracy. Then we summarize the recent progress of EHD printing in fabrication of displays, organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs), transparent electrodes, and sensors and actuators.
