Stereolithography-based additive manufacturing of ceramics has received tremendous attention in academic and industrial communities. In order to fabricate silicon carbide (SiC) components with complex shapes by stereolithography, a high SiC loaded ceramic slurry with low viscosity and excellent curing ability is required. However, it is challenging to meet these slurry requirements. In this work, the effects of resin formulation, dispersant, particle size, solid content and ball milling time on the properties of SiC ceramic slurry were systematically studied. The SiC slurries were prepared by using four precursor SiC powders having different particle sizes and modified by high temperature oxidation to reduce its UV absorbance. Additionally, the suitable SiC slurries for stereolithography were prepared by ball milling under appropriate processing parameters, and the geometrically complex SiC green bodies were subsequently fabricated.

Objective: To build a three-dimensional (3D) deep learning-based computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system and investigate its applicability for automatic detection of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of the knee joint in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).Methods: In this study, we develop a 3D weighted multi-view convolutional neural network by fusing different views of MRI to detect ACL. The network is evaluated on two MRI datasets, the in-house MRI-ACL dataset and the publicly available MRNet-v1.0 dataset. In the MRI-ACL dataset, the retrospective study collects 100 cases, and four views per patient are included. There are 50 ACL patients and 50 normal patients, respectively. The MRNet-v1.0 dataset contains 1,250 cases with three views, of which 208 are ACL patients, and the rest are normal or other abnormal patients.Results: The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of the ACL diagnosis system is 97.00% and 92.86% at the optimal threshold for the MRI-ACL dataset and the MRNet-v1.0 dataset, respectively, indicating a high overall diagnostic accuracy. In comparison, the best AUC of the single-view diagnosis methods are 96.00% (MRI-ACL dataset) and 91.78% (MRNet-v1.0 dataset), and our method improves by about 1.00% and 1.08%. Furthermore, our method also improves by about 1.00% (MRI-ACL dataset) and 0.28% (MRNet-v1.0 dataset) compared with the multi-view network (i.e., MRNet).Conclusion: The presented 3D weighted multi-view network achieves superior AUC in diagnosing ACL, not only in the in-house MRI-ACL dataset but also in the publicly available MRNet-v1.0 dataset, which demonstrates its clinical applicability for the automatic detection of ACL.

Abstract. Background:. Liver biopsy for the diagnosis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is limited by its inherent invasiveness and possible sampling errors. Some studies have shown that cytokeratin-18 (CK-18) concentrations may be useful in diagnosing NASH, but results across studies have been inconsistent. We aimed to identify the utility of CK-18 M30 concentrations as an alternative to liver biopsy for non-invasive identification of NASH. Methods:. Individual data were collected from 14 registry centers on patients with biopsy-proven non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and in all patients, circulating CK-18 M30 levels were measured. Individuals with a NAFLD activity score (NAS) ≥5 with a score of ≥1 for each of steatosis, ballooning, and lobular inflammation were diagnosed as having definite NASH; individuals with a NAS ≤2 and no fibrosis were diagnosed as having non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL). Results:. A total of 2571 participants were screened, and 1008 (153 with NAFL and 855 with NASH) were finally enrolled. Background Talent team is a key factor that affects the service level and development of township hospitals. The 19th CPC National Congress held in 2017 proposed to strengthen the construction of primary care system and general practitioners team. There are few available studies on primary care physicians' satisfaction with work unit, job and career development in township hospitals. Objective To examine the relationships among work unit satisfaction, career development satisfaction and job satisfaction in primary care physicians working at township hospitals, providing scientific evidence for the construction of healthcare talent team in township hospitals. Methods This study was implemented from December 2019 to August 2020. By use of stratified multistage sampling, 1 736 physicians were selected from 193 township hospitals in 9 counties (districts) of Yulin, Baoji and Shangluo, three cities of Shaanxi to attend a questionnaire survey for understanding their basic demographics, work unit satisfaction, career development satisfaction and job satisfaction. SPSS AU and R were used for data analysis. Pearson correlation was used to analyze correlations among work unit satisfaction, job satisfaction and career development satisfaction. Hierarchical regression was used for mediation analysis. The mediating effect of job satisfaction was further tested by bootstrap test for product of coefficients. Results Among the 1 736 cases, 1 727 (99.48%) who returned responsive questionnaires were included for final analysis. The average score of work unit satisfaction in the respondents was (2.03±0.52) points, and the average scores for its five dimensions (satisfaction with the overall management, the management system, welfare benefits, and development prospect, as well as the sense of identity obtained from the unit) were (1.94±0.93) , (2.55±1.21) , (2.17±0.73) , (1.91±0.80) , and (1.57±0.72) points, respectively. The average score of job satisfaction was (1.98±0.45) , and that of career development satisfaction was (2.42±0.49) . Sandy soil in the north of Hebei region of China is widely distributed, the temperature difference between day and night is large, the phenomenon of freezing and thawing is obvious, and the soil body before and after the freezing and thawing cycle of sandy soil slopes is affected by the changes. This paper takes the stability of a sandy soil anchorage interface under a freeze-thaw cycle as the research background and, based on the self-developed anchor-soil interface shear device, analyses the influence of changing sand rate, confining pressure, and the number of freeze-thaw cycles on the shear characteristics of an anchor-soil interface in anchorage specimens. The research findings indicate that, at 50–60% sand contents, the shear strength increases with a higher sand content and is positively correlated with confining pressure within a higher range. A higher sand content stabilises the anchoring body, but an excessively high sand content can lead to failure. Increasing the sand content, confining pressure, and freeze-thaw cycle number all result in a reduction in the shear displacement at the peak strength. After 11 freeze-thaw cycles, the shear strength of the anchoring body stabilises, with a reduction in strength of approximately 32%, and a higher sand content effectively reduces the reduction in strength. Abstract Background We aimed to investigate the functions and underlying mechanism of lncRNA SNHG1 in bone differentiation and angiogenesis in the development of osteoporosis. Methods The differential gene or proteins expressions were measured by qPCR or western blot assays, respectively. The targeted relationships among molecular were confirmed through luciferase reporter, RIP and ChIP assays, respectively. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alizarin red S (ARS) and TRAP staining were performed to measure the osteoblast/osteoclast differentiation of BMSCs. The viability, migration and angiogenesis in BM-EPCs were validated by CCK-8, clone formation, transwell and tube formation assays, respectively. Western blot and immunofluorescence detected the cytosolic/nuclear localization of β-catenin. Ovariectomized (OVX) mice were established to confirm the findings in vitro. Results SNHG1 was enhanced and miR-181c-5p was decreased in serum and femoral tissue from OVX mice. SNHG1 directly inhibited miR-181c-5p to activate Wnt3a/β-catenin signaling by upregulating SFRP1. In addition, knockdown of SNHG1 promoted the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs by increasing miR-181c-5p. In contrast, SNHG1 overexpression advanced the osteoclast differentiation of BMSCs and inhibited the angiogenesis of BM-EPCs, whereas these effects were all reversed by miR-181c-5p overexpression. In vivo experiments indicated that SNHG1 silencing alleviated osteoporosis through stimulating osteoblastogenesis and inhibiting osteoclastogenesis by modulating miR-181c-5p. Importantly, SNHG1 could be induced by SP1 in BMSCs. Conclusions Collectively, SP1-induced SNHG1 modulated SFRP1/Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway via sponging miR-181c-5p, thereby inhibiting osteoblast differentiation and angiogenesis while promoting osteoclast formation. Further, SNHG1 silence might provide a potential treatment for osteoporosis. Graphic abstract
