The use of quantile regression in analyzing determinants of life expectancy provides a deep understanding of the influence of predictor variables across various quantiles of the data distribution. The analysis results reveal significant differences in predictor variables affecting life expectancy at each quantile, with socio-economic, environmental, and health program factors having varying impacts. Model evaluation is conducted considering several goodness-of-fit measures such as MAPE, AIC, and coefficient of determination, selecting the best quantile based on a combination of these values. Based on the analysis, the optimal quantile is chosen based on the lowest MAPE and AIC, and the highest coefficient of determination, considering the efficiency of significant predictor variables. The analysis indicates that the best model is found at the 60th quantile, with two significant predictor variables, namely mean years of schooling and labor force participation. This underscores the significant role of socio-economic factors in determining life expectancy at specific quantiles

The creative economy is a new era of economic concepts that prioritizes information and creativity and relies on human resources' ideas as the primary production factor in economic activities. Pariaman City's traditional embroidered cloth business is one of the creative industries of the fashion sub-sector. The Embroidery Naras fabric business in Kota Pariaman has seen a drastic decrease in sales turnover since the Covid-19 pandemic, so entrepreneurs are looking for alternative solutions to increase their sales again. This research aims to find solutions to the problems faced by embroidered fabric craftsmanship, specifically how to increase sales volume after the covid-19 pandemic by advancing the creative embroidered fashion industry through the role of increasing production, creativity, and innovation. There are two types of data used: primary data and secondary data. Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions are the data analysis techniques used in this study. According to the findings, increasing production played only a 33% role. This demonstrates that craftsmen play a smaller role in increasing production to 100%. While the criteria for increasing creativity reaches 70%, it demonstrates that it plays an important role in increasing sales volume. It reaches 15% for the global marketing criteria, indicating that it does not play a role in global marketing, and it reaches only 3% for the use of technology, indicating that it does not play a role in the production process. Similarly, increasing revenue by 33%, As a result, it plays a smaller role in increasing revenue through direct and online sales.

Changes and developments in the national, regional, and global environment have triggered the rapid development of transnational crime, in this context, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) with the authority to act as state apparatus and law enforcer is the spearhead and front guard of the criminal justice system in eradicating transnational crime. Related to the foregoing, the applicability of International Criminal Law and its application in Indonesia is still an unresolved problem. In connection with the above, in terms of reviewing and analyzing related to the prospects of international criminal law and challenges to the Indonesian National Police, the author use normative juridical research methods using library research. The Juridical-Normative research method is a research method that places legal principles and legal rules as a touchstone to assess whether there was actually a violation or not. So, it can be concluded that there is a need to strengthen and develop international criminal law which is supported by comparative studies and activities in the framework of comparative law or comparative study of international criminal law studies at S1 STIK-PTIK. In the Elucidation of Article 7 of the Human Rights Court Law, it is stated that “the crimes of genocide and crimes against humans in this provision are in accordance with the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (Article 6 and Article 7)”. This provision raises the consequence that the legal spirit, interpretation, elements, and application must follow and comply with the provisions contained in the ICC Statute. In the course of the following, several serious human rights violations have been examined and tried based on the Human Rights Court Law with the establishment of an Ad Hoc Human Rights Court, such as the East Timor Post-Ballot case and the Abepura case.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui usaha tokoh masyarakat dalam mendorong pemanfaatan rumah ibadah di Jorong Tabek Sumatera Barat. Rumah ibadah masih difungsikan sebagai tempat dilaksanakan shalat wajib dan belum terdapat kegiatan keagamaan ataupun kegiatan sosial lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menghasilkan data berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang atau perilaku yang dapat diamati dengan tujuan menggambarkan keadaan sasaran penelitian menurut apa adanya. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi dalam bentuk gambar dan rekaman suara. Usaha-usaha yang dilakukan oleh Tokoh Masyarakat adalah melakukan koordinasi dan sosialisasi yang baik dan efektif terhadap masyarakat untuk melibatkan diri menyemarakkan masjid sebagai pusat sarana peribadatan dan sarana kegiatan keummatan. Usaha yang dilakukan oleh tokoh masyarakat salah satunya memprogramkan kegiatan tertentu untuk diikuti oleh masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menambah ilmu. Dalam program kegiatan tersebut tokoh masyarakat ikut serta memfasilitasi masyarakat sebagai aktor penggerak, pendukung, dan pelaksana, sehingga terjalin pendekatan emosional spriritual yang baik antara tokoh masyarakat dengan masyarakat.

One of the renewable energy source that is abundant but has not been used optimally is wind energy. Roads are currently the main transportation infrastructure along with the increasing number of motorized vehicles. Wind is one of the best renewable energy sources that can be utilized on the highway where it can be used as a power source to drive the Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). Darrieus type turbines can operate at low wind speeds and do not require a specific wind direction. However, the installation of this wind turbine on the highway can be hampered due to the presence of highway light poles. We simulate a light pole as a blunt object placed in front of the turbine which will then be observed for the ratio of torque produced to compare the performance of the turbine with a blunt body and without a blunt body. This study aims to determine the effect of the diameter ratio and distance between the turbine and the blunt object on the torque generated on the rotor. This research uses CFD simulation on NACA 4415 foil. The results showed that placing a blunt object in front of the Darrieus turbine increased the turbine torque. The most optimal increase in torque is obtained at a distance of 700 mm with a blunt body diameter of 0.6 DT or 0.3 DT which can increase the torque output of the turbine.

Kondisi stress oksidatif dapat mempengaruhi makromolekul seluler dan ekstraseluler (protein, lipid, asam nukleat dan DNA) sehingga dapat mengalami kerusakan oksidatif pada jaringan tubuh yang memicu terjadinya penyakit degeneratif melalui beberapa jalur oksidasi didalam tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak buah kersen dengan metode TAC dan CUPRAC. Sampel segar buah kersen dikumpulkan kemudian dilakukan proses pembuatan simplisia yang kemudian dilakukan proses ekstraksi dengan menggunakan metode maserasi untuk dilakukan proses penyarian dengan pelarut etanol 70% hingga diperoleh ekstrak kental buah kersen (EE). Ekstrak kental buah kersen kemudian dilakukan proses pemisahan dengan metode ekstraksi cair-cair menggunakan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat dan etanol-air (1:9) sehingga diperoleh fraksi n-heksan (HF), fraksi etil asetat (EAF) dan fraksi etanol-air (EF). Kemudian masing-masing sampel di uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan metode Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC) dan Cupric ion Power Reducing Antioxidant Capacity (CUPRAC). Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu pada metode TAC, EAF memiliki aktivitas yang lebih baik dengan nilai Quercetin Equivalen Antioxidant Capacity (QEAC) 57,1±1,03 µM/mg dibandingkan dengan EE, EF dan HF. Sedangkan pada metode CUPRAC diperoleh hasil bahwa EAF memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dalam mereduksi Cu yang lebih baik dengan nilai Gallic Acid Equivalen Antioxidant Capacity (GAEAC) 13,13±0,008 µM/mg dibandingkan dengan EE, EF dan HF. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buah kersen memiliki potensi aktivitas antioksidan yang baik. Fraksi etil asetat (EAF) dari buah kersen memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan dalam mereduksi Mo dan ion Cu dengan menggunakan metode TAC dan CUPRAC. Adanya data ilmiah dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan buah kersen sebagai food suplement antioksidan yang berguna untuk kesehatan masyarakat.

The black mulberry plant has been widely developed for its bioactivity as natural medicine. This study evaluated plant extracts' total phenolic and flavonoid content and their correlation to black mulberry stem's antioxidant activity and toxicity. Dry powder from the black mulberry stem was extracted by maceration with 96% ethanol to obtain a thick extract (TE) and fractionated using hexane (HF), ethyl acetate (EAF), and Ethanol-aqueous (EF). The samples were analyzed for a compound using reagents and the determination of total phenolic and flavonoid content. The samples were evaluated for antioxidant activity using several parameters and their cytotoxic effects using the BSLT method. Identification of compounds in EAF was confirmed to contain phenolic, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, steroids, and terpenoids. EAF showed higher phenolic and flavonoid content than others. The evaluation of antioxidant activity showed that extracts and fractions from mulberry stems showed the ability to reduce ions and free radicals. EF sample has activity in reducing Mo (IV) ion by TAC method of 98.82±0.53 µM/mg, indicating substantial antioxidant capacity. In addition, EAF samples showed potential activity in reducing DPPH, hydroxyl, and peroxide radicals in the BCB method with IC50 values of 12.13 µg/mL, 42.06 µg/mL, and 57.6 µg/mL, respectively. Similar activity was also seen in the cytotoxic effect of a robust EAF sample with an LC50 value of 16.31 µg/mL. From the results obtained, EAF can be developed as a raw material for traditional medicine as an antioxidant and anticancer candidate with a significant content of flavonoids and phenolics.

This study aims to examine the economic empowerment model applied by the Minangkabau community, which is known as a society that holds firmly to values, traditions, culture and religion, besides that Minangkabau people have long been known as Minang merchants who adhere to a communal economic system. The cooperative economic system implemented by the Minangkabau community is able to maintain the economic stability of the Minangkabau community, it is necessary to conduct a study to see the model of economic empowerment of the Minangkabau community. The research method used is library research by collecting data through reference books, published scientific journals and other literature to see the applied economic empowerment model. The data collection method is carried out by collecting study materials, reading, making research notes and reviewing study materials related to the research focus. The findings of this study are that the Minangkabau community's economy is stable and able to withstand economic shocks by applying several models of economic empowerment, namely mutual cooperation, cooperation, wandering and trading. Cancer is a condition of abnormal cell proliferation of tissue cells in the body that becomes malignant. It can attack other parts of the body and affect the normal function of the body organs. The sample used in this study was red nails or tubers, then extracted using 96% ethanol eluent to obtain a thick extract. The ethanolic extract of the red ferns was fractionated using column chromatography to obtain the active fraction to characterize the compound using Thin Layer Chromatography and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS) and tested its cytotoxic effectiveness on MCF-7 cancer cells and HeLa cancer cells. The results of this study were obtained from fractionation using the column chromatography method to obtain sub-fraction C and the results of compound characterization using GC-MS and obtained variations in the class of compounds contained in the sample, namely amino acids, glucosinolates, alkaloids, flavonoids, and terpenoids. Based on the cytotoxic effect test of sub-fraction C on MCF-7 cancer cells, the results obtained moderate cytotoxic effects with an IC50 value of 61.027 µg/mL, and HeLa cancer cells had an IC50 value of 521.03 µg/mL, which was categorized as having a weak cytotoxic effect. Based on the results obtained from this study, it can be concluded that sub-fraction C of A. ferox Copel Tubers has a cytotoxic effect on MCF-7 breast cancer cells to be used as a reference for tracing pure compounds from A. ferox Copel tuber.

Housing and its policy become an interesting issue for the study of social development programs. The CSR program in the housing sector is a form of company involvement in fulfilling access to housing needs as a social responsibility for the impact of company activities on the surrounding community. The method used in this paper is the method of literature or library research, namely by collecting reading material from books, as well as research journals on CSR programs in the housing sector, then analyzing with a qualitative approach so as to produce conclusions as a closing paper. The conclusions in this paper describe the CSR program in the housing sector of PT. Aneka Tambang was carried out in the Nanggung, sub-district of Bogor district. CSR activities are carried out through the home improvement competition program and the implementation of a healthy home improvement. CSR program in the housing sector by PT. Aneka Tambang is a form of company involvement in improving people's welfare as a joint commitment between the government, the private sector and the community.

One of the types of coffee cultivated in Solok Regency is Arabica Coffee (Coffea Arabica L). The quality of the coffee produced can be influenced by the proper harvesting and post-harvest process so as to produce ground coffee with good quality. This research is done by the method of observation, descriptive, and hedonic test. Ground coffee produced in Solok Regency has a semi-mechanical harvesting process while the post-harvest process begins with the release of the skin and meat of the fruit, subsequent drying, and release of the skin of horns, sorting and grading, roasted, milling and packaging. This research aims to study the processing and quality of Arabica Ground Coffee in Solok Regency.

During the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare facilities worldwide struggled to adequately care for the increasing number of COVID-19 patients while maintaining quality of care for all other patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the displacement and underuse of non-COVID-19 patient care in a medical department of a tertiary hospital in Switzerland. In this retrospective cross-sectional study, internal medicine admissions from 2017 to 2020, emergency outpatient visits from 2019 to 2020 and COVID-19 admissions in 2020 were analyzed and compared using a regression model. Internal medicine admissions were also stratified by diagnosis. A questionnaire was used to assess the pandemic experience of local general practitioners, referring hospitals, and nursing homes. The total number of admissions decreased during the 1st and 2nd waves of the pandemic but increased between the two waves. The purpose of this study were to determine the effect of temperature and roasting duration on physical characteristics and quality of arabica coffee sensory,: find out the best temperature and roasting duration treatmen to physical characteristics and quality of arabica coffee sensory. This study used a factorial complete randomized design with two factors (200°C, 220°C and 240°C) and duration of roasting (12, 15, and 18 minutes). The variables observed in this study were rendemen (sucrose content of sugar cane crop or sample), water content, color value, acidity and sensory test of arabica coffee. The results showed that temperature and duration of roasting had effect on rendemen, water content, color value, acidity, flavor, taste and color of arabica coffee. The temperature of 220 ° C with 12 minutes of roasting is produceed the best physical characteristics and sensory quality of Singgalang arabica coffee, with 88.1% of rendemen, 1.23% of water content (bb), different color L (Lightness) 6,07, acidity 5.81, scent score 3.5), taste score value of 3.2, color score 3.6.

Makalah ini berisi tinjauan komprehensif terhadap literatur tentang proses penyangraian kopi dan pembentukan akrilamida sebagai hasil sampingan proses pengolahan biji kopi diterbitkan antara tahun 2008 hingga 2018. bagian besar penelitian bersifat empiris dan sebagian besar studi berfokus pada proses pengolahan kopi dan efek akrilamida pada kesehatan tubuh. Temuan penting lainnya, sebagian kajian menganggap bahwa kopi mampu meningkatkan kesehatan tubuh. Ulasan ini menyajikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang manfaat dan bahaya kopi serta pengaruh penyangraian terhadap mutu kopi yang dihasilkan. Tinjauan ini juga menyoroti tentang alat sangrai kopi yang relatif kurang dieksplorasi. Akademisi, peneliti dan kelompok tani dapat menggunakan hasil kajian ini sebagai pedoman dalam menyangrai kopi. Penyangraian dengan waktu dan suhu yang efektif dapat mengurangi pembentukan akrilamida pada kopi, namun perlu kajian literatur terbaru yang berkaitan dengan proses pengolahan kopi terutama pada proses penyangraian.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dimensi fraud diamond dan self-efficacy terhadap kecurangan akademik dengan kecerdasan spiritual sebagai variabel moderating. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah 148 peserta didik Kelas XI IPS Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Purbalingga. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuesioner dengan menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 108 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tekanan dan kemampuan memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kecurangan akademik peserta didik sementara kesempatan, rasionalisasi, dan self-efficacy tidak berpengaruh terhadap kecurangan akademik peserta didik. Sedangkan kecerdasan spiritual mampu memoderasi pengaruh antara variabel tekanan, kesempatan, kemampuan dan self-efficacy terhadap kecurangan akademik peserta didik. Sementara, kecerdasan spiritual tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh rasionalisasi terhadap kecurangan akademik peserta didik. Saran yang diberikan berkaitan dengan hasil penelitian ini yaitu menciptakan kondisi yang tidak membuat peserta didik tertekan seperti tidak memberikan tugas yang terlalu banyak dan membiasakan peserta didik untuk disiplin, meningkatkan pengawasan dan pemeriksaan serta menerapkan aturan yang lebih ketat terkait pengerjaan tugas maupun dalam ujian. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence the dimensions of fraud diamond and self-efficacy against academic cheating with spiritual intelligence as a moderating variable. The population of this study was 148 students of eleventh grade’s students in social classes at State Madrasah Aliyah in Purbalingga. Methods of data collection using questionnaire method by using proportionate random sampling technique with thw total sample of 108 students. The results of this study indicate that pressure and capability have a positive and significant effect on academic fraud while opportunity, rationalization, and self-efficacy has no effect on academic fraud. While spiritual intelligence is able to moderate the influence of the variables of pressure, opportunity, capability, and self-efficacy against academic cheating. Meanwhile, spiritual intelligence is unable to moderate the influence of rationalization on academic fraud. Suggestions given related to the results of this research is to create conditions that do not make learners distressed as not to give too much task and familiarize students for discipline, improve supervision and examination and apply more stringent rules related to the execution of duties and in the exam.

We present protocols for quantum key distribution in a prepare-and-measure setup with an asymmetric level of trust. While the device of the sender (Alice) is partially characterized, the receiver's (Bob's) device is treated as a black-box. The security of the protocols is based on the assumption that Alice's prepared states have limited overlaps, but no explicit bound on the Hilbert space dimension is required. The protocols are immune to attacks on the receiver's device, such as blinding attacks. The users can establish a secret key while continuously monitoring the correct functioning of their devices through observed statistics. We report a proof-of-principle demonstration, involving mostly off-the-shelf equipment, as well as a high-efficiency superconducting nanowire detector. A positive key rate is demonstrated over a 4.8 km low-loss optical fiber with finite-key analysis. The prospects of implementing these protocols over longer distances is discussed.

Abstract For frequently used engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) CeO2-, SiO2-, and Ag, past, current, and future use and environmental release are investigated. Considering an extended period (1950 to 2050), we assess ENMs released through commercial activity as well as found in natural and technical settings. Temporal dynamics, including shifts in release due to ENM product application, stock (delayed use), and subsequent end-of-life product treatment were taken into account. We distinguish predicted concentrations originating in ENM use phase and those originating from end-of-life release. Furthermore, we compare Ag- and CeO2-ENM predictions with existing measurements. The correlations and limitations of the model, and the analytic validity of our approach are discussed in the context of massive use of assumptive model data and high uncertainty on the colloidal material captured by the measurements. Predictions for freshwater CeO2-ENMs range from 1 pg/l (2017) to a few hundred ng/l (2050). Relative to CeO2, the SiO2-ENMs estimates are approximately 1,000 times higher, and those for Ag-ENMs 10 times lower. For most environmental compartments, ENM pose relatively low risk; however, organisms residing near ENM ‘point sources’ (e.g., production plant outfalls and waste treatment plants), which are not considered in the present work, may be at increased risk.

This study aims to determine the total content of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity of mangosteen skin powder from fresh fruit with variations of storage duration which processed mechanically. Methods of research done by determining the total content of phenolic compounds using the method of DPPH free radical scavengers. The fresh mangosteen skin was dried with a drying oven, with a capacity of 0.12 kg/h and a drying rate of 2.79 kg. Furthermore, dry mangosteen skin was milled by grinding machine with 2870 rpm rotation and obtained rendemen mangosteen skin powder as much as 38.04% with water content 8.33%. Total content of phenolic mangosteen powder with variation of storage duration 0 days, 10 days, and 20 days ranged 81.17 mgGAE / g - 195.51 mgGAE /g. The range of IC 50 for the three treatment is 6.80 ppm - 26.47 ppm. The highest total phenolic content and antioxidant activity werw found at zero days of storage.

Comperiella calauanica is a host-specific endoparasitoid and effective biological control agent of the diaspidid Aspidiotus rigidus, whose outbreak from 2010 to 2015 severely threatened the coconut industry in the Philippines. Using the maximum entropy (Maxent) algorithm, we developed a species distribution model (SDM) for C. calauanica based on 19 bioclimatic variables, using occurrence data obtained mostly from field surveys conducted in A. rigidus-infested areas in Luzon Island from 2014 to 2016. The calculated the area under the ROC curve (AUC) values for the model were very high (0.966, standard deviation = 0.005), indicating the model’s high predictive power. Precipitation seasonality was found to have the highest relative contribution to model development. Response curves produced by Maxent suggested the positive influence of mean temperature of the driest quarter, and negative influence of precipitation of the driest and coldest quarters on habitat suitability. Given that C. calauanica has been found to always occur with A. rigidus in Luzon Island due to high host-specificity, the SDM for the parasitoid may also be considered and used as a predictive model for its host. This was confirmed through field surveys conducted between late 2016 and early 2018, which found and confirmed the occurrence of A. rigidus in three areas predicted by the SDM to have moderate to high habitat suitability or probability of occurrence of C. calauanica: Zamboanga City in Mindanao; Isabela City in Basilan Island; and Tablas Island in Romblon. This validation in the field demonstrated the utility of the bioclimate-based SDM for C. calauanica in predicting habitat suitability or probability of occurrence of A. rigidus in the Philippines.

The telomeric CTC1/STN1/TEN1 (CST) complex has been implicated in promoting replication recovery under replication stress at genomic regions, yet its precise role is unclear. Here, we report that STN1 is enriched at GC-rich repetitive sequences genome-wide in response to hydroxyurea (HU)-induced replication stress. STN1 deficiency exacerbates the fragility of these sequences under replication stress, resulting in chromosome fragmentation. We find that upon fork stalling, CST proteins form distinct nuclear foci that colocalize with RAD51. Furthermore, replication stress induces physical association of CST with RAD51 in an ATR-dependent manner. Strikingly, CST deficiency diminishes HU-induced RAD51 foci formation and reduces RAD51 recruitment to telomeres and non-telomeric GC-rich fragile sequences. Collectively, our findings establish that CST promotes RAD51 recruitment to GC-rich repetitive sequences in response to replication stress to facilitate replication restart, thereby providing insights into the mechanism underlying genome stability maintenance.
