Polycrystalline potassium nickel(II) hafnium(IV) tris(orthophosphate), a langbeinite-type phosphate, was synthesized by a solid-state method. The three-dimensional framework of the title compound is built up from two types of [MO6] octahedra [the M sites are occupied by Hf:Ni in ratios of 0.754 (8):0.246 (8) and 0.746 (8):0.254 (8), respectively] and [PO4] tetrahedra are connected via O vertices. The K+ cations are located in two positions within large cavities of the framework, having coordination numbers of 9 and 12. The Hf, Ni and K sites lie on threefold rotation axes, while the P and O atoms are situated in general positions.

The electron acceleration, in a laser wakefield accelerator, controlled through plasma density inhomogeneity is studied on a basis of 2.5-dimensional particle-in-cell simulation. The acceleration requires a concordance of the density scale length and shift of the accelerated electron bunch relative to wake bubble during electron acceleration. This paper considers the excitation of a wakefield in plasma with a density equal to the density of free electrons in metals, solid-state plasma (the original idea of Prof. T. Tajima), in the context of studying the wakefield process. As is known in the wake process, as the wake bubble moves through the plasma, the self-injected electron bunch shifts along the wake bubble. Then, the self-injected bunch falls into the phase of deceleration of the wake wave. In this paper, support of the acceleration process by maintaining the position of the self-injected electron bunch using an inhomogeneous plasma is proposed. It is confirmed that the method of maintaining phase synchronization proposed in the article by using a nonuniform plasma leads to an increase in the accelerating gradient and energy of the accelerated electron bunch in comparison with the case of self-injection and acceleration in a homogeneous plasma.

While implementing the radical transformations, such as the business processes reengineering in the work of industrial enterprises, there is a need to increase the personnel operating efficiency in the business processes redesign. The urgent increase of control by the top management of companies is demanded for observing the procedure and standards of business processes reengineering at the enterprises in order to increase its cost effectiveness. Therefore, the relevance of the scientific research subject is indisputable. The research works of academic economists concerning the features of staffing for the business processes reengineering of companies are analyzed. The ways to overcome the resistance to organizational changes of industrial enterprises by the staff are developed. The description of the effective members of the reengineering team in the work of the company has been improved by forming special features of each member of the reengineering team. The personal and professional competencies of the personnel are shaped and offered as the most effective ones for successful realization of marketing activity reengineering at the industrial enterprises. A questionnaire was developed as part of the analysis and selection of personnel during the marketing activities reengineering at the industrial enterprises. The resulting component of the questionnaire was developed for making managerial decision on personnel selection in reengineering teams.

Activity of business entities requires a constant increase in the level of their economic potential and the level of competitiveness of the products on the market. This task can be fulfilled provided the concept of constant economic growth is formed in the activity of enterprises, which can be implemented through the management of changes in the economic activity of enterprises. One of the components is the marketing activity, which plays one of the leading roles in shaping the sustainable development of an industrial enterprise when carrying out transformational changes in its activity. These changes, which are the re-engineering of business processes, help the company management adapt to the changing market (marketing) environment and optimize the internal business processes. The relevance of the research is undeniable. The article presents the main directions of transition to the effective marketing activity in the period of re-engineering of industrial enterprises’ business processes based on the analysis of the main trends of marketing and innovation activities of economic entities from different countries. The authors developed the indices that characterize the marketing potential of the company during the business processes’ re-engineering. They proposed to use an integral index of the company’s marketing potential during radical transformations and to take effective management decisions based on the prevailing range of its criteria values when carrying out an economic estimation of the company’s marketing potential in the period of business processes’ re-engineering. The results obtained from the calculations demonstrate the final estimation of the industrial enterprise’s marketing potential during the business processes’ re-engineering, which allows the top management of the industrial company to determine the level of performance of the company marketing activity and make sound managerial decisions for its further development.

An algorithm for the de-noising of S-parameter data used in microwave imaging is proposed. The complex S-parameter frequency-sweep data are collected through scans over an acquisition surface and the algorithm separates efficiently the resulting two-dimensional responses (one frequency at a time) into a signal and a noise component. The separation is performed with an iterative procedure similar to the empirical mode decomposition. The signal component estimates the noise-free data, whereas the remaining data content estimates the noise and uncertainty in the measurement. The algorithm performance is verified with measured data.

This article aims to analyze the concept of public-public partnerships viewed through the lens of the philosophy of responsible citizenship. Specifically, we the authors set the task of scrutinizing the concept of responsible citizenship by emphasizing its importance in modern civic governance, particularly in the context of collaboration between various public entities and organizations. The article thus outlines the historical and contemporary evolution of responsible citizenship as a concept focusing, among other important aspects, on its moral and ethical foundations. It also takes into consideration the role of active citizenry in supporting effective governance and productive societal transformation. In particular, the authors examine the theoretical frameworks and conceptualization of public-public partnerships, highlighting how, when founded on the principles of reciprocal cohesion, they tend to promote beneficial synergy between different public institutions. Examples of such successful collaborations are provided, undescoring the philosophical approaches that highlight the importance of ethical principles and civic virtues.A significant focus is likewise placed on analyzing how the philosophy of responsible citizenship influences the development of public-public partnerships in the context of the Revolution of Dignity and russian military aggression. Of noless importance is the the impactful role volunteering plays when perceived as an expression of responsible citizenship philosophy. To this end, the authors aim to elucidate the ethical and civic principles guiding these partnerships, focusing on volunteer-driven initiatives that facilitate national solidarity, foster resilience, and cultivate a strong sense of communal synergy amidst internal sociopolitical diisions and external military aggression. Lastly, the authors devoted their attention to bringing together the thread of the major philosophical ideas and findings discussed in the article, highlighting the conceptual and practical correlation between responsible citizenship and effective public-public partnerships, creating lasting civic bonds while fostering sustainable societal development.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become a universal call to action over the past few years and a basis for assessing the progress of sustainable development of countries and organizations. This paper aims to identify the relationship between the sustainable development activities of universities in different regions of the world, as reflected in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (THE IR), and the progress towards achieving SDGs of the countries in which these universities operate. The research methods were correlation analysis and robust regression tools, and parametric and non-parametric methods of variance analysis. The information base was the results of annual reports based on the THE IR and Sustainable Development Reports for 2017–2021. The results confirm the existence of directly proportional close correlations between the variables, while the regression analysis confirmed that a one-unit increase in the overall THE IR ranking score leads to a corresponding increase in the overall progress of countries in achieving SDGs (on average by 0.2-0.3 units) and SDGs 3, 8, 11, 16 in particular. It was also found that universities play a key role in achieving different SDGs in various regions. In Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and North Africa, universities are critical for SDG 17 achieving. In OECD countries, universities contribute most to SDG 3. Examples of the best practices that can be used as a guide for university administrations that are at the beginning of developing sustainable development policies are also given. Abstract Research into new composites utilizing cubic boron nitride (PcBN) shows promise for enhancing cutting tool performance. The unique properties of these materials stem from the addition of microfibers made of refractory compounds to their structure. This study looks at developing two-layer composites based on cBN group BL, reinforced with SiCw and Al2O3w microfibers. The goal is to improve tool stability when cutting hardened steels with impact loads. PcBN composite samples were made by sintering a mixture of cBN powder with bundles and microfibers under 7.7 GPa pressure. Bond material selection was based on analyzing the relationship between Poisson's ratio (η) and plasticity parameter (G/B). The density, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, and hardness of the composites were determined, and the microstructure of samples with TiCN bond was studied. Tool-life tests were conducted on two-layer cutting inserts made of PcBN reinforced with SiCw and Al2O3w microfibers during the machining of hardened KhVG steel (HRC 55) under impact loads at cutting speeds of 100 and 200 m/min.

Abstract Raman spectroscopy provides non-destructive, label-free quantitative studies of chemical compositions at the microscale as used on NASA’s Perseverance rover on Mars. Such capabilities come at the cost of high requirements for instrumentation. Here we present a centimeter-scale miniaturization of a Raman spectrometer using cheap non-stabilized laser diodes, densely packed optics, and non-cooled small sensors. The performance is comparable with expensive bulky research-grade Raman systems. It has excellent sensitivity, low power consumption, perfect wavenumber, intensity calibration, and 7 cm−1 resolution within the 400–4000 cm−1 range using a built-in reference. High performance and versatility are demonstrated in use cases including quantification of methanol in beverages, in-vivo Raman measurements of human skin, fermentation monitoring, chemical Raman mapping at sub-micrometer resolution, quantitative SERS mapping of the anti-cancer drug methotrexate and in-vitro bacteria identification. We foresee that the miniaturization will allow realization of super-compact Raman spectrometers for integration in smartphones and medical devices, democratizing Raman technology.

In the presented research, the authors dealt with the specific properties of the combustion process of dimethyl ether (DME) in a combustion car (Volkswagen Golf IV) engine AJM 1.9 TDI PDE made by Volkswagen factory. Dimethyl ether is an alternative fuel produced most often from natural gas, which can be used in compression ignition engines as a single fuel or co-burned with diesel oil. This work describes the impacts of using exhaust gas recirculation system and various diesel to DME substitution ratios from 0% to approximately 25% (on an energy basis), on the combustion process in a dual-fuel diesel engine. The engine has been modified so that DME fuel is introduced into the intake manifold just before the intake valves. The diesel fuel supply system, operation algorithms of the engine electronic control unit and other engine elements were left unchanged as it was built by the manufacturer.

The article is devoted to the study of scientific knowledge on the general organizational conditions for corporate governance in an agrarian integrated enterprise. Based on the analysis of scientific knowledge on the conditions and features of corporate governance in integrated agricultural structures, the authors have found that relations arise not between the owners of a corporation, but between the corporation and the owners, and thus relations in the group of owners are absent or minimized. In practice, the key element of contracting is not an attempt to determine the behavior of the CEO in all possible situations, but to develop a structured system of remuneration for managers. The main goal of this operation is to find the optimal combination of different types of remuneration for top managers, which will ensure mutually beneficial interests of both shareholders and managers of the corporation. The author proves that the most effective mechanism of internal control over the activities of a corporation's management personnel is to involve shareholders in protecting their interests through agents (outsiders) who are not employees of the corporation but are vested with certain controlling powers. It is assumed that these agents will not be directly related to the operational management of the corporation, and thus they become the defenders of the interests of the owners. It is found that there is a direct relationship between agency conflicts and corporate governance mechanisms. The result of the study is the identification of positive and negative aspects of capital concentration in a corporation. This leads to the conclusion that with an increase in the manager's shareholding, the level of agency conflicts decreases. The authors propose a detailed model of corporate governance that takes into account the interests of all participants. The conflict of interests between owners and managers of a corporate structure is investigated. The peculiarities of functioning of the external mechanism of control by the financial market in the corporate governance system and their shortcomings are highlighted. The institutional factors influencing the corporate governance system of an integrated agricultural enterprise are demonstrated.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the specifics of the values of contemporary science communication. The values of science are still underestimated by many science researchers, in particular, sociologists. At the same time, the clear definition of the key values of science and intersubjective understanding about them increasingly determine the success of research. After all, values underlie the motivation of human behavior in general and the behavior of a scientist in particular. Academic values should be a priority in motivating the behavior of an individual scientist and science communication in general. Although values indicate to a greater extent what is desired, rather than what is available, they cannot be reduced to an ideal that is absent in reality, because values are already represented in the real behavior of people. The values of science have not only a regulatory nature of intellectual values (the abstract search for scientific truth as a higher goal, the power of the human intellect, academic freedom as an ideal, etc.), but also a specific functional and pragmatic significance – as specific instrumental values (institutional and organizational values, communicative competences, etc.). Despite the fact that values have an interpretive nature, they are neither subjectively limited nor arbitrarily relative to different social groups: the significance of values is determined by the communication in which these values are used by their carriers. The need for collective recognition of the values of science communication appears especially clearly and acutely in the clarification of the problems of ethics and morality of science communication, in particular in the issues of inclusiveness of science communication.

Показано, що наплавлення з подачею нанооксидів або нанокарбідів у зварювальну ванну призводить до значного підвищення зносостійкості наплавленого металу. Водночас, наявна в літературі інформація щодо оптимальних концентрацій нанокомпонентів відповідає лише конкретним умовам наплавлення. Інші умови наплавлення вимагають додаткових експериментальних досліджень для визначення оптимальних концентрацій за цих нових умов. Теоретичними дослідженнями встановлено, що зміна погонної енергії наплавлення супроводжується зміною об’єму та маси зварювальної ванни, що призводить до зміни масових концентрацій нанокомпонентів. Виявлено, що об’єм і маса зварювальної ванни можуть змінюватися майже у 3 рази, а масова частка нанокомпонентів – у 2 рази. Запропоновано метод визначення масової частки нанокомпонентів у зварювальній ванні за умови різних погонних енергій наплавлення. Експериментальні дослідження підтвердили аналітичні прогнози. Використання запропонованої методики дозволить поширити технологію наплавлення з подачею нанокомпонентів у зварювальну ванну без додаткових експериментальних досліджень.

The azo-azomethine dye 6,6'-((1E,1'E)-((4-methyl-1,2-phenylene)bis(azanylylidene))bismethanylylidene))bis(2-methoxy-3-(o-tolyldiazenyl) phenol) (L3) were synthesized and characterized by UV-visible, FT-IR, 1H-NMR and Mass spectroscopy. The effect of the several factors on the CPE pre-concentration of Cobalt (II) with L3 was optimized. Extensive thermodynamic study has been presented to understand the mechanism of extraction and solubilization of studied complex in Triton X-100 micelles. Under the optimized conditions, enrichment factor of 54 is achieved leading to limit of detection and limit of quantitation of 11.5 and 38.4 ngmL-1 respectively. Under the optimal conditions the calibration plot is linear in the range of 0.025-3 μg mL-1, the precision (RSD%; n=8) of the proposed method is of 0.823% at 0.05 μg mL-1 of Co (II). This method is applied to the determination of Co (II) in various environmental samples.

У статті робиться наголос на подальшому розгляді потенціалу урбогеосистемного підходу в аспекті суспільно-географічних досліджень через поєднане застосування ГІС-засобів та результатів міського дистанційного лазерного (лідарного) сканування. Дотепер попри визначення урбогеосистем (УГС), як окремих географічних сутностей, що об’єктивно існують у визначеному геопросторі міста, ми ще не розглядали такий аспект, як оцінку однієї з їх ключових характеристик – просторового розподілу чисельності міського населення. Актуальність міських досліджень вимагає новітніх методів для оцінки кількості населення, які можуть бути засновані на геометрії забудов та архітектурній морфології міста. Виходячи із цього, метою статті є подання локалізованого урбогеосистемному аналізу (ЛУГА), який впроваджується у найкрупнішому масштабі геопростору даної УГС й включає в себе використання площеметричних (ПММ) та об’ємометричних методів (ОММ) для розрахунку чисельності мешканців у міських будівлях й, таким чином – у певному осередку урбанізованного геопростору. Останній можна вважати найменшою структурною одиницею детально-сітчастого подання цифрового урбаністичного середовища (УС). Весь предметний зміст цього дослідження відповідає одному з основних постулатів урбогеосистемного аналізу, згідно якого відбувається формалізація УГС-атрибутивних характеристик у різних геолокаціях УС – формалізованої моделі міського довкілля. Розглядаються наявні теоретичні передумови ЛУГА. Відповідно досвіду попередніх досліджень пропонується тезовий опис трьох альтернативних методик оцінки розподілу міського населення, що засновані на парадигмі «ДДЗóГІС». Щодо методики M1 ЛУГА, яка є подальшим розвитком «мікропросторового ГІС-аналізу», та двох її параметричних методів (ПММ та ОММ) робиться детальний опис їх операційної послідовності та формалізованого апарату. Наводиться блок-схема покрокової реалізації обох методів з детальним поясненням кожного з етапів. Представлений приклад реалізації ЛУГА щодо користувацького сценарію оцінки розподілу міського населення по агломерації м. Бостон (штат Массачусетс, США). Наведені ілюстрації зразків інтерфейсу Хмарної ГІС-платформи.

Success in growing an agricultural crop is considered to be the maximum realization of the potential of a variety, as well as a stable level of its yield over the years. In the article there are analysed the results of studies, conducted with the narrow-leaved lupine (Lupinus angustifolius L.) on the grey forest soil under the Forest-Steppe conditions. There are shown the peculiarities of the influence of hydrothermal conditions upon the duration of the period from sowing to the emergence of seedlings, interphase periods and the growing season, on the whole. An analysis is presented of the influence of weather conditions over the years of the research and agrotechnical measures upon the generative development of the plants, the formation of the crop grain yield, as well as its quality upon the variant, recommended for production, in comparison with the control variant. The weather conditions that developed during the period from sowing to full ripeness of the narrow-leaved lupine plants differed significantly over the years of research, influenced the duration of the period from sowing to germination (from 7 to 15 days), the growing season of the crop, on the whole, (from 79 to 101 days), growth and development of plants, and, as a result, - on the level of the yield. The seed yield in the experiment was unstable over the years even in the recommended production variant - from 3.28 to 2.10 t∙ha–1, that is, with a difference in the most favourable and unfavourable years of 1.18 t∙ha–1. The most favourable conditions for the formation of the crop were in 2016 on the variant, recommended for the production, and it provided for the application of N68P48K66, sowing lupine of the “Pobeditel” variety with an inter-row spacing of 45 cm, a seeding rate of 1.2 million germinating seeds t∙ha–1, treated with a bioinoculant with a bioprotectant, and also foliar top dressing with microfertilizer at the IV stage of plant organogenesis. The year 2020 turned out to be the most unfavourable, as evidenced by the minimum yield level of 2.10 t∙ha–1 and the index of the conditions of the year –0.51.

Introduction of the research problem. Urbanization drives Digital City Projects (DCPs) to create smarter urban environments using advanced technologies. DCPs aim to make cities more connected and responsive, adapting to changing needs. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the performance of DCPs in megalopolises, focusing on Kharkiv and Dnipro in Ukraine. The previous works done. The various literature sources demonstrate the rise of Digital Cities stemming from Smart Cities. Kharkiv and Dnipro in Ukraine exemplify digitalization's role amid Russian aggression. Exposition of the main research material. The performance of the theoretical urbogeosystemic approach and its UOM in the provision of practical Digital City projects. This subsection delves into the practical application of the urbogeosystemic approach and its Urban Ontological Model (UOM) in DCPs. The UOM guides urban studies by defining components and relationships. Implementing DCPs begins with building simulation models using LiDAR data. Case Study First - Kharkiv: A feasible perspective of a full-format DCP implementation. This subsection discusses implementing a DCP in Kharkiv, emphasizing data integration from OpenStreetMap (OSM) and LiDAR. The authors propose that a DCP should serve as a comprehensive model of a real city, encompassing all its structural elements and key objects, going beyond the capabilities of a typical GIS project. Possible user’s scenarios include energy consumption analysis, population estimation, and visibility gradients assessment. The subsection highlights the comprehensive DCP approach with LiDAR data processing software (iQ City CCM) and urban geosituational analysis. Case Study Second - Kharkiv: a perspective of geomarketing within the “Digital Kharkiv” project as a routine GIS one. This subsection delves into the integration of geomarketing into the "Digital Kharkiv" project. Geomarketing plays a pivotal role in mapping socioeconomic elements tied to market interactions. "Digital Kharkiv," primarily sourced from OSM data, is lauded for its versatility in urban studies during peacetime and war. The text urges exploration of geomarketing within "Digital Kharkiv" in the context of post-Russian aggression rehabilitation, particularly in optimizing humanitarian object placements. Changes in geomarketing potential pre- and post-invasion in various city districts have been analyzed, highlighting areas with stagnation and those witnessing growth due to population resettlement. Case Study Third - Dnipro: implementation of a typical GIS-project for analyzing provision of the city population with public transportation infrastructural networks. This subsection discusses the implementation of the "Digital Dnipro" project as part of the DCP framework. The project focuses on analyzing the provision of public transportation networks in the city of Dnipro. It utilizes data from OSM to create a virtual model of the city, which includes attribute information for urban objects. This subsection also highlights the impact of war on urban planning and the need for sustainable updates to adapt to changing conditions. Conclusion. This section summarizes the key findings and takeaways from the research on DCPs in Ukrainian cities like Kharkiv and Dnipro. It highlights the importance of an urbogeosystemic approach in implementing DCPs effectively. The study emphasizes the flexibility and efficiency of the relevant GIS tools in urban research and transformation.

Abstract Background Comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) is considered the gold standard approach to improving a range of outcomes for older adults living with frailty admitted to hospital. To date, research has predominantly focused on quantitative syntheses of the international evidence with limited focus on qualitative synthesis of stakeholder perspectives. This review aims to resolve this research gap by identifying and synthesising qualitative studies reporting multiple stakeholders’ experiences of inpatient CGA. Methods A systematic search of five electronic databases was conducted. Qualitative or mixed methods studies that included qualitative findings on the experiences of CGA in an inpatient hospital setting from the perspective of healthcare professionals (HCP), older adults, and those important to them were included. The protocol was registered on PROSPERO (Registration: CRD42021283167) and the 10-item Critical Appraisal Skills Programme checklist was used to appraise the methodological quality of included studies. Results were synthesised as a meta-ethnography. Results Eleven studies, which reported on the experiences of 153 HCPs, 91 older adults and 57 caregivers were included. The studies dated from 2011 to 2021 and three key themes were identified: (1) HCPs, older adults and caregivers report conflicting views on CGA as a holistic process, (2) most HCPs, but only some older adults and caregivers view CGA goalsetting and care planning as collaborative, and (3) all stakeholders value care continuity during the transition from hospital to home but often fail to achieve it. Conclusion While HCPs, older adults, and caregivers’ values and ambitions related to CGA broadly align, their experiences often differ. The identified themes highlight organisational and relational factors, which positively and negatively influence CGA practices and processes in an inpatient hospital setting.

Abstract Doped Mott insulators are the starting point for interesting physics such as high temperature superconductivity and quantum spin liquids. For multi-band Mott insulators, orbital selective ground states have been envisioned. However, orbital selective metals and Mott insulators have been difficult to realize experimentally. Here we demonstrate by photoemission spectroscopy how Ca2RuO4, upon alkali-metal surface doping, develops a single-band metal skin. Our dynamical mean field theory calculations reveal that homogeneous electron doping of Ca2RuO4 results in a multi-band metal. All together, our results provide evidence for an orbital-selective Mott insulator breakdown, which is unachievable via simple electron doping. Supported by a cluster model and cluster perturbation theory calculations, we demonstrate a type of skin metal-insulator transition induced by surface dopants that orbital-selectively hybridize with the bulk Mott state and in turn produce coherent in-gap states.

Abstract Background Innovations in models of care for older adults living with frailty presenting to the emergency department (ED) have become a key priority for clinicians, researchers and policymakers due to the deleterious outcomes older adults experience due to prolonged exposure to such an environment. This study aimed to develop a set of expert consensus-based statements underpinning operational design, outcome measurement and evaluation of a Frailty at the Front Door (FFD) model of care for older adults within an Irish context. Methods A modified real-time Delphi method was used. Facilitation of World Café focus groups with an expert panel of 86 members and seperate advisory groups with a Public and Patient Involvement panel of older adults and members of the Irish Association of Emergency Medicine generated a series of statements on the core elements of the FFD model of care. Statements were analysed thematically and incorporated into a real-time Delphi survey, which was emailed to members of the expert panel. Members were asked to rank 70 statements across nine domains using a 9-point Likert scale. Consensus criteria were defined a priori and guided by previous research using 9-point rating scales. Results Fifty members responded to the survey representing an overall response rate of 58%. Following analyses of the survey responses, the research team reviewed statements for content overlap and refined a final list of statements across the following domains: aims and objectives of the FFD model of care; target population; screening and assessment; interventions; technology; integration of care; evaluation and metrics; and research. Conclusion Development of a consensus derived FFD model of care represents an important step in generating national standards, implementation of a service model as intended and enhances opportunities for scientific impact. Future research should focus on the development of a core outcome set for studies involving older adults in the ED.

The article reveals the main results of the analysis of “Science education for responsible citizenship” report as a set of basic European recommendations that can be used to modernize and reform the education system in Ukraine at the formal level. The authors presented a number of main positions of “Science education for responsible citizenship” and analyzed the existing legal system that regulates activities in the education and science system of Ukraine, with the aim of identifying the basis for the implementation of European recommendations.

Introduction. Modern cities are complex and rapidly expanding systems. For their more effective study, it is necessary to use methods of urban remote sensing, in particular, LiDAR survey. Processed LiDAR survey data, visualized in a 3D scene, model a certain urban configuration that represents a static picture of the relationships between objects, processes and phenomena in the urban environment. The representation of such configurations in the dynamic plane are urbanistic geosituations. The main research objective of the paper is to define the concept and present the essence of the urbanistic geosituation. Results. The urbanistic geosituation is a dynamic aspect of a certain state of the urban environment, in which there are objects, processes and phenomena that are in dialectical unity with this urban environment. The urbanistic geosituation can be represented as a separate area of the urban environment in a certain research context with a specific state that is currently not inherent in other areas. The article describes in detail the property of the structural heredity of geosituations, which can be traced during the growth of cities. New buildings and roads are laid out taking into account the existing layout, thus inheriting the structure of the original geosituations. On the example of the city of Washington using 2D and 3D maps, the article discusses the features of identifying inherited urbanistic geosituations using the general functionality of visual analysis. On the example of the city of Kharkiv are described urban problems that arise as a result of unplanned development and ignoring the structural heredity of urbanistic geosituations. Repeating geosituations with common properties and internal configurations are combined into different rank geosituational patterns, which are tracked on city maps with the naked eye. The higher the rank of the pattern, the more stable it is, and the larger territories it covers in terms of more generalized properties. The formation of geosituations patterns is successfully combined with the feature of collecting and storing LiDAR data, which are divided into many areas of the same size – tiles. An important property of urbanistic geosituations is their variability, which manifests itself in the city study in the context of the daily population concentration. Diverse internal urban processes and phenomena often lead to the emergence of urbanistic geosituations that characterize the temporary gravity centers of the population. To search, identify and analyze urbanistic geosituations, it is necessary to use two key components – global coverage maps and geographic information systems (GIS). The article describes a special web-GIS that combines these components and provides an environment for exploring urbanistic geosituations in a 3D scene. Three use-cases are also proposed for analyzing urban systems at the geosituational level: visibility analysis, buildings energy consumption estimation, and population estimation [11, 21]. Conclusions. The geosituational approach in urban research can significantly improve the urban environment study. The repeatability of urban geosituations and the small data sets that can be obtained using LiDAR surveys provide grounds for their effective analysis and visualization in GIS, as a result of which it is possible to extract urban geosystem properties that can be relevant for the entire city.

The advancement of contemporary internal combustion engine technologies necessitates not only design enhancements but also the exploration of alternative fuels or fuel catalysts. These endeavors are integral to curbing the emission of hazardous substances in exhaust gases. Most contemporary catalyst additives are of complex chemical origins, introduced into the fuel during the fuel preparation stage. Nonetheless, none of these additives yield a significant reduction in fuel consumption. The research endeavors to develop the fuel system of a primary marine diesel engine to facilitate the incorporation of pure hydrogen additives into diesel fuel. Notably, this study introduces a pioneering approach, employing compressed gaseous hydrogen up to 5 MPa as an additive to the principal diesel fuel. This method obviates the need for extensive modifications to the ship engine fuel equipment and is adaptable to modern marine power plants. With the introduction of modest quantities of hydrogen into the primary fuel, observable shifts in the behavior of the fuel equipment become apparent, aligning with the calculations outlined in the methodology. The innovative outcomes of the experimental study affirm that the mass consumption of hydrogen is contingent upon the hydrogen supply pressure, the settings of the fuel equipment, and the structural attributes of the fuel delivery system. The modulation of engine load exerts a particularly pronounced influence on the mass admixture of hydrogen. The proportion of mass addition of hydrogen in relation to the pressure of supply (ranging from 4–12 MPa) adheres to a geometric progression (within the range of 0.04–0.1%). The application of this technology allows for a reduction in the specific fuel consumption of the engine by 2–5%, contingent upon the type of fuel system in use, and concurrently permits an augmentation in engine power by up to 5%. The resultant economic benefits are estimated at 1.5–4.2% of the total fuel expenses. This technology is applicable across marine, automotive, tractor, and stationary diesel engines. Its implementation necessitates no intricate modifications to the engine design, and its utilization demands no specialized skills. It is worth noting that, in addition to hydrogen, other combustible gases can be employed.

In the last decade, the politics of memory in Ukraine, implemented after the Revolution of Dignity and the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in Donbas in 2014, has been the subject of intense scholarly attention. However, researchers mainly focused either on the national level of collective memory or on the cases of the few largest cities. Much less attention has been paid to processes at the local level, in the towns of Southern Ukraine. Kryvyi Rih is a large industrial city in Southern Ukraine. It is usually characterized by general sociological features of the region: Russian-speaking and Soviet nostalgia. In the context of the local history and political situation, the author shows how the presentation of three layers of memory about the past of the region entangled in the city`s space. Established on the former Zaporizhzhia Cossacks lands, the city manifests its Cossack identity. Simultaneously, the most popular politicians in Kryvyi Rih are still those associated with the former Party of Regions, which was presented by former President Viktor Yanukovych, who was removed from power during the Revolution of Dignity in 2014. The basis of their memory politics was to protect the (post)Soviet version of the history of the Second World War as the “Great Victory”. But since the summer of 2014, its commemoration has intersected with the commemoration of city residents who died during the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas. The paper addresses the evolution of commemorative practices and the overlapping of commemoration of the ATO, the Second World War, and the Cossacks. It also raises the question of what place the memory of the ATO and the Second World War will take in the conditions of the ongoing war.
