This work is a bibliographic compilation that relates two variables: Quality of Life and Coping Strategies. The first of these variables is understood as the individual's perceptions of their position in life, in a given time and space, in the context of the culture and the value system in which they live. In relation to your goals, expectations, standards, and concerns. While, the second variable as the constantly changing cognitive and behavioural efforts that are carried out to manage, and overcome the specific external and / or internal situations that are evaluated as surplus or overflowing of the individual's resources. That said, the present study through a bibliographic review has been able to account for a highly positive relationship in the variables, since, by having greater coping tools, the individual manages to perceive greater satisfaction with his life. In turn, this relationship between variables is coupled with numerous studies and interdisciplinary integration programs that aim to generate an integrative view of the experience of patients and their families.

After urinary stenting, patients often suffer from mid- and long-term complications, such as infections, bacterial colonization, encrustations, or stent obstruction which are related to the design, materials and surface properties of the stent. Drug eluting stents (DES) is an advance technology that can reduce the morbidity associated with stenting, by locally releasing loaded drugs in a time-controlled manner. In this chapter is firstly reported an overview of the materials and manufacturing methods for conventional urinary stents, then are discussed the engineered strategies for the design and fabrication of drug eluting stents. Drug eluting ureteral stents, and in general urinary stents, were introduced to performed a drug delivery aiming to obtain a local treatment as well as to overcomes the main issues related to urinary stenting implantation. Drugs and/or active agents can be directly loaded in the stent structure or can be introduced through a surface coating. Drug-eluting technologies can then be combined with biodegradable stents in order to eliminate the need for stent removal procedure. However some disadvantages remain still unsolved. In the last decades innovative manufacturing approaches and methods, such as nanotechnologies and additive manufacturing techniques, provide to scientists new tools for the design and fabrication on smart and custom-made urinary stents, able to go towards perfectly to patient needs.

- Abstract
One of the most remarkable benefits of the microreactors is the achievement of more efficient processes by enhancing the heat and mass transfer phenomena, which is the key factor for processes intensification in chemical reactions, resulting in higher conversion, selectivity and yield towards desired products. Currently, the entire scenario of microreaction approach is an emergent technology and further advances are ongoing. Several strategies have been successfully applied for structuring processes that imply the fixation of the catalysts on the microreactors. However, there are features such as the physicochemical stability of the coatings under reaction conditions that must be improved, motivating the search for new protocols. This review provides a general overview of the most important methodologies applied for glass, quartz, polymers and metals microreactors manufacture and for their coating, analyzing the advantages and drawbacks of every procedure. Furthermore, an outline of the novel insights based on additive manufacturing techniques are described.

- Abstract
Three biocompatible polymers, polyethylene glycol (PEG), dextran and chitosan, have been used in this work to control the colloidal stability of magnetic nanoparticles (14 ± 5 nm in diameter) and to vary the aggregation state in order to study their effect on relaxometric and heating properties. Two different coating strategies have been deeply developed; one based on the formation of an amide bond between citric acid coated nanoparticles (NPs) and amine groups present on the polymer surface and the other based on the NP encapsulation. Relaxometric properties revealed that proton relaxation rates strongly depend on the coating layer hydrophilicity and the aggregation state of the particles due to the presence of magnetic interactions. Thus, while PEG coating reduces particle aggregation by increasing inter-particle spacing leading to reduction of both T and T relaxation, dextran and chitosan lead to an increase mainly in T values due to the aggregation of particles in bigger clusters where they are in close contact. Dextran and chitosan coated NPs have also shown a remarkable heating effect during the application of an alternating magnetic field. They have proved to be potential candidates as theranostic agents for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Finally, cytotoxicity of PEG conjugated NPs, which seem to be ideal for intravenous administration because of their small hydrodynamic size, was investigated resulting in high cell viability even at 0.2 mg Fe ml after 24 h of incubation. This suspension can be used as drug/biomolecule carrier for in vivo applications.
