By one-to-two propensity score matching for age and sex, the control group of those not re-testing positive during the same period served as matched control.Results: A total of 223 patients were included in our study, 94 in re-positive group and 129 in non-re-positive group. The result shows that the rates of nasal douche treatment in the non-re-positive group were considerably higher than that of the re-positive group. And the Ct value of nasal douche group increased faster than that of non-nasal douche group after the Ct value reaching ≥ 35. Further analysis revealed that the higher the Ct value at the time of readmission, the shorter the time of average Ct values to reach ≥ 35.Conclusion: These findings suggest that nasal douche is beneficial to shorten the time of virus nucleic acid turning negative, thereby reducing the incidence of re-positive. The prevention and control of epidemics focuses on re-positive patients with Ct values < 35.Keywords: COVID-19, nasal douche, re-positive, RT-PCR

3. Topological T-duality via Lie algebroids and $Q$-flux in Poisson-generalized geometry

Abstract

It is known that the topological T-duality exchanges $H$ and $F$-fluxes. In this paper, we reformulate the topological T-duality as an exchange of two Lie algebroids in the generalized tangent bundle. Then, we apply the same formulation to the Poisson-generalized geometry, which is introduced in arXiv:1408.2649 to define $R$-fluxes as field strength associated with $\beta$-transformations. We propose a definition of $Q$-flux associated with $\beta$-diffeomorphisms, and show that the topological T-duality exchanges $R$ and $Q$-fluxes., Comment: 30 pages

Abstract

We study a new kind of Courant algebroid on Poisson manifolds, which is a variant of the generalized tangent bundle in the sense that the roles of tangent and the cotangent bundle are exchanged. Its symmetry is a semidirect product of $\beta$-diffeomorphisms and $\beta$-transformations. It is a starting point of an alternative version of the generalized geometry based on the cotangent bundle, such as Dirac structures and generalized Riemannian structures. In particular, $R$-fluxes are formulated as a twisting of this Courant algebroid by a local $\beta$-transformations, in the same way as $H$-fluxes are the twist of the generalized tangent bundle. It is a $3$-vector classified by Poisson $3$-cohomology and it appears in a twisted bracket and in an exact sequence., Comment: 22 pages

5. Generalized geometry and nonlinear realization of generalized diffeomorphism on D-brane effective action

Abstract

The characterization of the DBI action of a Dp-brane using the generalized geometry is discussed. It is shown that the DBI action is invariant under the diffeomorphism and B-transformation of the generalized tangent bundle of the target space. Abstract

The properties of the D-brane fluctuations are investigated using the two types of deformation of the Dirac structure, based on the B-transformation and the beta-transformation, respectively. The former gives the standard gauge theory with 2-form field strength. The latter gives a non-standard gauge theory on the Poisson manifold with bivector field strength and the vector field as a gauge potential, where the gauge symmetry is a diffeomorphism generated by the Hamiltonian vector field. The map between the two gauge theories is also constructed with the help of Moser's Lemma and the Magnus expansion. Body parameters, such as body mass index and waist circumference, were measured. Fat distribution was evaluated using a computerized tomography scanner. The levels of serum estrogen, leptin, visfatin, and adiponectin were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expression of circulating ERs was evaluated by Western blot analysis.Results: Perimenopausal women and childbearing women with obesity exhibited lower levels of estrogen and adiponectin, in addition to a distribution of visceral fat with higher levels of leptin and visfatin. These findings reflect the current data of menopausal women, which confirms the reliability of this experimental system. However, the expression of ERα in peripheral blood was significantly enhanced in women with obesity of both childbearing and perimenopausal age. This result is contrary to the common understanding of adipose tissue, namely that ERα is protective. The expression of ERβ in the women without obesity of both childbearing and perimenopausal age was higher than in women with obesity, which coincides with the results of a previous study on adipose tissue.Conclusion: Our data fundamentally contradicts the utility of circulating ERα and ERα/ERβ evaluations in obesity studies. Because estrogen exerts pleiotropic effects on multiple tissues in the body through differential regulation of ERs, although the expression of ERβ coincides with the results of a previous study on adipose tissue, the expression levels of ERs in blood cannot be used as a diagnostic of informative tool for obesity in women.Keywords: estrogen receptors, obesity, estrogen, fat distribution, adipokines, perimenopause

8. Exact description of D-branes in K-matrix theory

Abstract

We summarize how to describe D-branes in a matrix theory based on unstable D-instantons, which we call K-matrix theory, and explicity show that D-branes can be constructed as bound states of infinitly many unstable D-instantons. We examine the fluctuations around Dp-brane solutions in the matrix theory and show that they correctly reproduce fields on the Dp-brane world-volume. 9. D-branes and KK-theory in Type I String Theory

Abstract

We analyse unstable D-brane systems in type I string theory. Generalizing the proposal in hep-th/0108085, we give a physical interpretation for real KK-theory and claim that the D-branes embedded in a product space X x Y which are made from the unstable Dp-brane system wrapped on Y are classified by a real KK-theory group KKO^{p-1}(X,Y). The field contents of the unstable D-brane systems are systematically described by a hidden Clifford algebra structure. We also investigate the matrix theory based on non-BPS D-instantons and show that the spectrum of D-branes in the theory is exactly what we expect in type I string theory, including stable non-BPS D-branes with Z_2 charge. Abstract

In this paper, we study a new matrix theory based on non-BPS D-instantons in type IIA string theory and D-instanton - anti D-instanton system in type IIB string theory, which we call K-matrix theory. The theory correctly incorporates the creation and annihilation processes of D-branes. The configurations of the theory are identified with spectral triples, which are the noncommutative generalization of Riemannian geometry a la Connes, and they represent the geometry on the world-volume of higher dimensional D-branes. Remarkably, the configurations of D-branes in the K-matrix theory are naturally classified by a K-theoretical version of homology group, called K-homology. Furthermore, we argue that the K-homology correctly classifies the D-brane configurations from a geometrical point of view. Abstract

We define and discuss a set of (4N - 4) parameters that can be used to analyse events in which N jets have been produced in high energy hadron-hadron collisions. These multijet variables are the multijet mass and (4N - 5) independent dimensionless parameters. To illustrate the use of the variables QCD predictions are presented for events with up to five jets produced at the Fermilab Tevatron Proton-Antiproton Collider. These QCD predictions are compared with the predictions of a model in which multijet events uniformly populate the N-body phase-space.

However, health professionals often experience difficulty collaborating in practice because of their different educational backgrounds, ideas, and the roles of each profession. In this qualitative descriptive study, we reveal how to build interdisciplinary collaboration in multidisciplinary teams. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a total of 26 medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, public health nurses, medical social workers, and clerical personnel. Each participant worked as a team member of community-based integrated care. The central topic of the interviews was what the participants needed to establish collaboration during the care of elderly residents. Each interview lasted for about 60 minutes. All the interviews were recorded, transcribed verbatim, and subjected to content analysis. Results: The analysis yielded the following three categories concerning the necessary elements of building collaboration: 1) two types of meeting configuration; 2) building good communication; and 3) effective leadership. The two meetings described in the first category – “community care meetings” and “individual care meetings” – were aimed at bringing together the disciplines and discussing individual cases, respectively. Building good communication referred to the activities that help professionals understand each other’s ideas and roles within community-based integrated care. Effective leadership referred to the presence of two distinctive human resources that could coordinate disciplines and move the team forward to achieve goals. Conclusion: Taken together, our results indicate that these three factors are important for establishing collaborative medical teams according to health professionals. Regular meetings and good communication facilitated by effective leadership can promote collaborative practice and mutual understanding between various professions. Recent advances have provided a link between epigenetic modification and the regulation of gene expression. 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) converted from 5-methylcytosine by the ten-eleven translocation (TET) family of proteins has emerged as a new epigenetic modification. While the dynamics of 5hmC during cerebral ischemia have recently been reported, whether 5hmC is involved in ICH remains unexplored. In this study, we investigated the effects of ICH on DNA hydroxymethylation. We showed that the global level of 5hmC rapidly decreased as early as 24 hours after ICH and persisted until 72 hours. Furthermore, the level of 5hmC in the CpG-rich regions of Akt2, Pdpk1 and Vegf genes was significantly decreased with a minimum level observed at 48 hours or 72 hours. Decreased 5hmC was observed in parallel with an increase in 5-methylcytosine over this time course, and mRNA levels of Akt2, Pdpk1 and Vegf were downregulated upon ICH injury. Finally, Tet1, Tet2 and Tet3 mRNA levels were dramatically decreased in the ICH brain. Our study for the first time established the correlation between DNA hydroxymethylation and ICH injury. Further investigations should examine whether 5hmC modification could be a therapeutic target for the treatment of ICH injury.Keywords: stroke, cerebral edema, DNA hydroxymethylation, TET protein

Abstract

The aim of the present work was a cross-linguistic generalization of Inoue et al.’s (2011) algorithm for discriminating infant- (IDS) vs. adult-directed speech (ADS). IDS is the way in which mothers communicate with infants; it is a universal communicative property, with some cross-linguistic differences. Inoue et al. (2011) implemented a machine algorithm that, by using a mel-frequency cepstral coefficient and a hidden Markov model, discriminated IDS from ADS in Japanese. We applied the original algorithm to two other languages that are very different from Japanese – Italian and German – and then tested the algorithm on Italian and German databases of IDS and ADS. Our results showed that: First, in accord with the extant literature, IDS is realized in a similar way across languages; second, the algorithm performed well in both languages and close to that reported for Japanese. The implications for the algorithm are discussed.

Abstract

The first measurement of the true top quark PT distributon was carried out. An attempt was also made to compute a 95% confidence level upper limit on the fraction of top quarks that are produced with 225 > PT > 425 GeV/c. It was found that R4 > 0.16 at 95% C.L.

Abstract

We report on measurements of differential cross sections dsigma/dp(T) for prompt charm meson production in ppmacr; collisions at sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV using 5.8+/-0.3 pb(-1) of data from the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The data are collected with a new trigger that is sensitive to the long lifetime of hadrons containing heavy flavor. The charm meson cross sections are measured in the central rapidity region |y|K-pi(+), D(*+)-->D0pi(+), D+-->K-pi(+)pi(+), D(+)(s)-->phipi(+), and their charge conjugates. The measured cross sections are compared to theoretical calculations.

We have studied the production of B hadrons in 1.8-TeV pp[over ¯] collisions. We present measurements of the fragmentation fractions, f_{u}, f_{d}, f_{s}, and f_{baryon}, of produced b quarks that yield B^{+}, B^{0}, B_{s}^{0}, and Λ[over ¯]_{b}^{0} hadrons. Reconstruction of five electron-charm final states yields f_{s}/( f_{u}+f_{d})=0.213±0.068 and f_{baryon}/( f_{u}+f_{d})=0.118±0.042, assuming f_{u}=f_{d}. If all B hadrons produced in pp[over ¯] collisions cascade to one of these four hadrons, we determine f_{u}=f_{d}=0.375±0.023, f_{s}=0.160±0.044, and f_{baryon}=0.090±0.029. If we do not assume f_{u}=f_{d}, we find f_{d}/f_{u}=0.84±0.16.

Abstract

We report a measurement of the diffractive structure function F(D)(jj) of the antiproton obtained from a study of dijet events produced in association with a leading antiproton in pp collisions at sqrt[s] = 630 GeV at the Fermilab Tevatron. The ratio of F(D)(jj) at sqrt[s] = 630 GeV to F(D)(jj) obtained from a similar measurement at sqrt[s] = 1800 GeV is compared with expectations from QCD factorization and other theoretical predictions. We also report a measurement of the xi ( x-Pomeron) and beta ( x of parton in Pomeron) dependence of F(D)(jj) at sqrt[s] = 1800 GeV. In the region 0.035

We present searches for quark-lepton compositeness and a heavy W' boson at high electron-neutrino transverse mass. We use approximately 110 pb(-1) of data collected in p p macro collisions at square root of [s] = 1.8 TeV by the CDF Collaboration during 1992-1995. The data are consistent with standard model expectations. Limits are set on the quark-lepton compositeness scale Lambda, the ratio of partial cross sections sigma(W'-->enu)/sigma(W-->enu), and the mass of a W' boson with standard model couplings. The ratio of the branching fraction from particle collisions were measured. The data was recorded by the Collider Detector at fermilab during the Tevatron run. The measured values were in agreement with the standard model predictions. The measurements yielded a limit on the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix element.

Abstract

Neutron Higgs bosons produced in association with `b' quarks were investigated. Experimental results showed that there was no evidence for the existence of such a signal. The data was interpreted using the Neutral Higgs sector of the supersymmetric extension of standard model. The lower mass limits for neutral Higgs bosons were derived for tanβ values in excess of 35.

Abstract

Events collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) with an energetic jet plus large missing transverse energy can be used to search for physics beyond the standard model. We see no deviations from the expected backgrounds and set upper limits on the production of new processes. We consider in addition the production of light gravitinos and set a limit at 95% confidence level on the breaking scale √F ≥ 217 GeV, which excludes gravitino masses smaller than 1.1 × 10-5 eV/c2. © 2000 The American Physical Society.

Abstract

We present results from a measurement of double diffraction dissociation in $\bar pp$ collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The production cross section for events with a central pseudorapidity gap of width $\Delta\eta^0>3$ (overlapping $\eta=0$) is found to be $4.43\pm 0.02{(stat)}{\pm 1.18}{(syst) mb}$ [$3.42\pm 0.01{(stat)}{\pm 1.09}{(syst) mb}$] at $\sqrt{s}=1800$ [630] GeV. Abstract

We report on measurements of the branching ratios of the decays B +→χc10(1P)K+ and B + → J/ψK+ π+π-, where χc10(1P) → J/ψγ and J/ψ → μ+μ- in pp→ collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV. Using a data sample from an integrated luminosity of 110 pb-1 collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab we measure the branching ratios to be BR(B+ → χc10(1P)K+) = 15.5±5.4(stat) ± 1.5(syst)± 1.3(br) × 10 -4 and BR(B+ →J/ψK+ π+ π-) = 6.9±1.8(stat)±1.1(syst)±0.4(br) × 10-4 where (br) is due to the finite precision on BR(B+ → J/ψK+), BR(χc10(1P) → J/ψγ) is used to normalize the signal yield, and (syst) encompasses all other systematic uncertainties. © 2002 The American Physical Society.

Abstract

We have measured the polarization of J/ψ and ψ(2S) mesons produced in pp̄ collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV, using data collected at the Collider Detector at Fermilab during 1992-1995. The polarization of promptly produced J/ψ [ψ(2S)] mesons is isolated from those produced in B-hadron decay, and measured over the kinematic range 4 [5.5] < PT < 20 GeV/c and |y| < 0.6. For PT ≳ 12 GeV/c we do not observe significant polarization in the prompt component. © 2000 The American Physical Society.

Abstract

We analyze a sample of W+jet events collected with the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) in pp» collisions at s=1.8 TeV to study tt» production. We employ a simple kinematical variable H, defined as the scalar sum of the transverse energies of the lepton, neutrino, and jets. For events with a W boson and four or more jets, the shape of the H distribution deviates by 3.8 standard deviations from that expected from known backgrounds to tt» production. However, this distribution agrees well with a linear combination of background and tt» events, the agreement being best for a top mass of 180 GeV/c2. © 1995 The American Physical Society.

Abstract

We search for new particles that decay into bb̄ and are produced with W bosons in pp̄ collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV. The search uses 109 ± 7 pb-1 accumulated by the CDF experiment at Fermilab. We select events with an ev or μv, and two jets, one of them b tagged. The number of events and the two-jet mass distribution are consistent with expectations. Using W + Higgs production as a model for the acceptance, we set an upper limit on the production cross section times branching ratio for the new particle ranging from 14 to 19 pb (95% C.L.) as the particle mass varies from 70 to 120 GeV/c2.

Abstract

We report the results of a search for a W' boson produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.8 TeV using a 107 pb-1 data sample recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. We consider the decay channel W'-->andmunumu and search for anomalous production of high transverse mass munumu lepton pairs. We observe no excess of events above background and set limits on the rate of W' boson production and decay relative to standard model W boson production and decay using a fit of the transverse mass distribution observed. If we assume standard model strength couplings of the W' boson to quark and lepton pairs, we exclude a W' boson with invariant mass less than 660 GeV/c2 at 95% confidence level.

Abstract

We report on a search for direct Kaluza-Klein graviton production in a data sample of 84 pb(-1) of ppmacr; collisions at sqrt[s]=1.8 TeV, recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. We investigate the final state of large missing transverse energy and one or two high energy jets. We compare the data with the predictions from a (3+1+n)-dimensional Kaluza-Klein scenario in which gravity becomes strong at the TeV scale. At 95% confidence level (C.L.) for n=2, 4, and 6 we exclude an effective Planck scale below 1.0, 0.77, and 0.71 TeV, respectively.

Abstract

We present the first measurement of the ratio of branching fractions R identical withB(t-->Wb)/B(t-->Wq) from p_p collisions at sqrt[s] = 1.8 TeV. The data set corresponds to 109 pb(-1) of data recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab during the 1992-95 Tevatron run. We measure R = 0.94(+0.31)(-0.24)(stat+syst) or R>0.61 (0.56) at 90% (95)% C.L., in agreement with the standard model predictions. This measurement yields a limit on the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix element /V(tb)/ under the assumption of three generations and unitarity.
