Ved produksjon av offshore konstruksjoner blir rør og plater sveist sammen til større stålstrukturer som jackets og andre underkonstruksjoner for offshore bruk. Konstruksjonene er utsatt for store belastninger og naturkrefter som medfører store dimensjoner på konstruksjonenes elementer. Dette resulterer i tidkrevende sveiseoperasjoner. Automatiserte sveiseoperasjoner effektiviserer prosessen og reduserer risikoen for menneskelige feil. I dette arbeidet blir det utviklet et fremdriftssystem for en mobil sveiserobot i samarbeid med Aker Solutions Verdal. Sveiseroboten skal ha mulighet til å både kjøre rundt rør av ulike dimensjoner og på plane flater mens den utfører sveiseoperasjoner. Dagens løsning benytter seg av skinner som må valses til riktig kurve for bruk på ulike rørdiametere. Hovedfokuset gjennom oppgaven er derfor å lage en løsning som har mulighet til å fullstendig omslutte rør av én dimensjon, uten å begrense neste gangs bruk ved en annen dimensjon. Oppgaven følger den systematiske produktutviklingsprosessen "Engineering design process", som hjelper ingeniører i team på veien til å løse problemer. Det presenteres fire konsepter som blir sammenliknet mot kravspesifikasjoner og vurderingskriterier for å kunne videre utvikle konseptet med høyest potensiale. Et to-delt skinnesystem av titanlegeringen Ti-6Al-4V blir valgt som det mest lovende konseptet. Det blir verifisert ved hjelp av beregninger og simuleringer at skinnen klarer å bøyes rundt rør av minste dimensjon uten å overskride kritiske spenninger, i tillegg til å kunne forflytte sveiseroboten med utstyr. Det blir verifisert at fremdriftssystemet oppfyller kravspesifikasjonene gitt innledningsvis i oppgaven. Avslutningsvis konkluderes det med at det har blitt utviklet et fremdriftssystem som kan kjøre rundt rør av ulike dimensjoner og plane flater innenfor de kravene som er gitt. During the production of offshore structures, pipes and plates are welded together to form larger steel structures such as jackets and other substructures for offshore use. These constructions are subjected to significant loads and natural forces, which result in large dimensions of the construction elements. This leads to time-consuming welding operations. Automated welding operations streamline the process and reduce the risk of human errors. In this work, a propulsion system for a mobile welding robot is being developed in collaboration with Aker Solutions Verdal. The welding robot should be able to move around pipes of various dimensions as well as flat surfaces while performing welding operations. The current solution utilizes rails that need to be rolled into the correct curve for different pipe diameters. The main focus throughout the project is therefore to create a solution that can fully encircle pipes of one dimension without limiting future use for a different dimension. The project follows the systematic product development process called the "Engineering design process," which assists engineers in teams in solving problems. Four concepts are presented and compared against requirements and evaluation criteria in order to further develop the concept with the highest potential. A two-part rail system made of the titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V is chosen as the most promising concept. It is verified through calculations and simulations that the rail can bend around the smallest dimension pipe without exceeding critical stresses, while also being able to move the welding robot with its equipment. It is confirmed that the propulsion system meets the requirements specified at the beginning of the project. In conclusion, a propulsion system has been developed that can move around pipes of various dimensions and flat surfaces within the given requirements.

IntroductionHigh-intensity interval training (HIIT) may improve cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and mental health. The current observer-blinded RCT investigates the sparsely studied efficiency of HIIT in reducing psychotic and non-psychotic symptoms in schizophrenia and complements previous studies by investigating whether symptom reduction following HIIT is associated with, putatively partly mediated by, increased VO2max.MethodsParticipants (outpatients meeting diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia) were randomized to HIIT (n = 43) or a comparison group performing low-intensity active video gaming (AVG) to control for social interaction (n = 39). Both interventions consisted of two supervised sessions/week for 12 weeks and a 4 months follow-up. Effects on overall symptoms and symptom domains [PANSS (0–6 scale), five-factor model] were estimated using mixed-effects models (intention-to-treat, n = 82). Underlying mechanisms were analyzed using moderated mediation analyses (n = 66). We anticipated that HIIT would reduce overall symptoms, particularly depressive symptoms, more than AVG, and symptom reduction would be associated with, putatively mediated through, improved VO2max.ResultsDepressive symptoms (baseline score 3.97, 95% CI: 3.41, 4.52), were −1.03 points more reduced in HIIT than AVG at post-intervention (95% CI: −1.71, −0.35, p = 0.003), corresponding to a small to moderate effect size (d = 0.37) and persisting at follow-up. There was a small reduction in overall symptoms, but no significant between-group differences were observed. Change in VO2max correlated negatively with the change in depressive symptoms. Mediation analysis showed a significant effect of change in VO2max on change in depressive symptoms within HIIT. The total effect was moderated by group, and depressive symptoms were more reduced in HIIT. Direct effects, not mediated through VO2max, were non-significant. Indirect effects, mediated through VO2max, were non-significant, but the moderated mediation test indicated a non-significant trend of 0.4 points (95% CI: −1.188, 0.087) and a larger reduction in depressive symptoms through VO2max in HIIT.ConclusionHIIT reduced depressive symptoms more than AVG, which persisted at follow-up. HIIT may serve as a complementing treatment option targeting these symptoms in individuals with schizophrenia, even before they reach clinical depression. Depressive symptoms are important to prevent, stabilize, and treat due to their negative implications for psychological wellbeing and long-term functional outcome. Reduction in depressive symptoms was associated with improved VO2max, and non-significant trends in the data supported that improved VO2max may be part of the complex mechanisms underlying the anti-depressive effect of HIIT.Clinical Trial Registration[www.ClinicalTrials.gov], identifier [NCT02205684].

This thesis aims to examine the relationship between bankruptcy risk and received compensation. The Erna Solberg Government enacted the Norwegian compensation scheme to save otherwise viable firms during the Covid-19 pandemic. The compensation scheme was of great political importance and acquired significant public attention through the continuous spotlight of the media. While most focused on changes in bankruptcy frequency and size of compensation, we argue that the distribution within the scheme warrants further attention. In line with literature on resource allocation and forbearance lending, we identify that granting compensation to firms at risk of bankruptcy can distort market mechanisms long-term. Presumably for the same reason, a primary target of the compensation scheme was to exclude unviable firms. Despite the possibility for distribution inefficiencies, there has hardly been any effort to assess the scheme. Our response was to evaluate if compensation was granted in line with the objective of firm viability. We apply bankruptcy prediction to measure firm viability and limit the thesis to the Norwegian compensation scheme during its two first iterations in 2020. We conduct our research using two stages of methodology. Firstly, we use the random forest machine learning algorithm to estimate the likelihood of near-future bankruptcy prior to the outbreak of Covid-19. The predicted risk of bankruptcy is then used to analyze the trend in distribution of size-adjusted compensation. Our scope is limited to the hospitality industry to achieve increased resolution on within-industry differences. Our analysis reveals that predicted bankrupt firms received an estimated 54.3 million NOK in compensation. We identify a weak but statistically significant positive relationship between size-adjusted compensation and the predicted risk of bankruptcy. Our thesis concludes that compensation at the aggregate level primarily was distributed in line with the compensation scheme objective of viability. However, compensation distribution within the scheme was moderately asymmetric in that the support was proportionally greater for firms with an elevated probability of bankruptcy. nhhmas

Prosjektleder Susanne C. Schneider Otra ved Rysstad har i lang tid hatt utfordringer med massevekst av krypsiv. Mekanisk fjerning av krypsiv i utvalgte områder der plantene er til særlig sjenanse for fiske og bading blir sett på som det mest praktiske tiltaket, men det er ukjent hvor raskt krypsivet kommer tilbake etter tiltak. I tillegg er Otra ved Rysstad blitt kalket siden april 2021, og det er blitt uttrykt bekymring for at kalkingen kan føre til ytterlige krypsiv vekst. Kartlegging av krypsiv i august 2021, det vil si cirka ett år etter at krypsiv ble fjernet i et utvalgt område og 4 mnd. etter at kalkingen startet, viser at (1) det kun var begrenset gjenvekst av krypsiv; dette tyder på at gjenveksten foregår sakte; og (2) kalkingen har hittil ikke hatt målbar effekt på krypsiv biomasse.

Prosjektleder Eivind Ekholt Andersen NIVA har på oppdrag av Vajda-Papir Scandinavia AS i 2021 overvåket og vurdert mulige effekter av bedriftens utslipp til Drammenselva. Overvåkingsprogrammet har vært forankret i prøver tatt henholdsvis oppstrøms og nedstrøms bedriftens utslippspunkt, som er plassert på ca. 3,5 m dyp i elva ved anleggsområdet. Vannkjemiske støtteparametere ble prøvetatt seks ganger i løpet av året, og prøver av bunndyrsamfunn ble prøvetatt i februar og november. Vannkjemiske støtteparametere viste ingen forskjell mellom de to prøvepunktene. Bunndyrprøvene viste heller ingen forskjell mellom prøvepunktene og var i «Moderat» økologisk tilstand både oppstrøms og nedstrøms utslippspunktet. Tilsvarende undersøkelser av økologisk tilstand utført i 2015 viste ingen forskjell mellom stasjonene oppstrøms og nedstrøms utslippspunktet («Moderat» tilstand), mens det i 2018 ble målt «God» tilstand oppstrøms og «Moderat» tilstand nedstrøms. Vi mener derfor at oppfølgende undersøkelser trengs for å vurdere hvorvidt utslippet fra Vajda-Papir Scandinavia AS forringer vannmiljøet i den aktuelle delen av Drammenselva. Prosjektleder Marijana Stenrud Brkljacic I 2020/2021 har det blitt gjennomført tiltaksorientert overvåking i Tista og Iddefjorden på oppdrag for Norske Skog Saugbrugs AS. Avløpsvannet fra Saugbrugs inneholder forhøyede nivåer av organisk stoff, suspendert materiale og næringssalter som ledes ut i elven Tista og renner videre ut i Iddefjorden. Det har blitt utført undersøkelser av biologiske- og fysisk-kjemiske kvalitetselementer samt metaller i sediment i resipientene. Økologisk tilstand i elven ble klassifisert til «moderat» tilstand oppstrøms og «dårlig» tilstand nedstrøms bedriftens utslippspunkter, med bunndyr som det utslagsgivende kvalitetselementet. Vannforekomsten Tista tilfredsstiller dermed ikke vanndirektivets mål om god økologisk tilstand. Det samme er tilfelle for undersøkte stasjoner i Iddefjorden. To av stasjonene som ligger utenfor Tistas munningsområde, ble klassifisert til hhv. «svært dårlig» og «moderat» økologisk tilstand, med bløtbunnsfauna som det utslagsgivende kvalitetselement. Den ytterste stasjonen i Ringdalsfjorden har «god» tilstand for bløtbunnsfauna, men de fysisk-kjemiske kvalitetselementene i vannmassene (næringssalter og siktdyp) får «dårlig» tilstand og trekker ned den økologisk tilstanden til «moderat». På den innerste stasjonen i Iddefjorden ble det kun utført undersøkelser i vannmassene, og den økologiske tilstanden blir klassifisert til «dårlig». Det var lavt innhold av metaller i sedimentene ved de to undersøkte stasjonene i Iddefjorden: Det var ingen overskridelser for de vannregionspesifikke stoffene sink, kobber, krom og arsen, og kjemisk tilstand ble klassifisert til «god» på bakgrunn av de prioriterte stoffene kadmium, bly, nikkel og kvikksølv. Background Overuse, underuse, and significant variation in the utilisation of radiological services are well documented in the literature. Several radiological examinations are identified as low-value examinations as they do not lead to a change in diagnosis or course of treatment. Even so, such examinations are frequently performed. Many measures for reducing low-value imaging have been carried out with variable outcomes. While there is little evidence as to why some measures work and others do not, adjusting to the context seems important for success. The objective of this study was to investigate which measures stakeholders consider appropriate for reducing the use of low-value imaging and what it takes to make them work. Methods Semi-structured interviews were conducted among radiographers, radiologists, radiological department managers, hospital clinicians, general practitioners, and health government/authorities’ representatives. The interview guide covered two broad areas: Experience with low-value services, and possible future measures deemed appropriate for reducing low-value services. Data were analysed in line with a qualitative framework analysis. Results The analysis included information from 27 participants. All participants acknowledged that low-value imaging was a problem, but few had very specific suggestions on reducing this in practice. Suggested measures were to stop referrals from being sent, provide support in assessing referrals, or change the healthcare system. Identified facilitators were categorised as management and resources, evidence, and experienced value. In general, appropriate measures should be practical, well-founded, and valuable. Conclusions This study provides insight into various stakeholders’ perceptions of suitable interventions to reduce low-value imaging. While many measures for reducing low-value imaging are available, contextual sensitivity is crucial to make them work.

Prosjektleder Tor Erik Eriksen Denne rapporten omhandler bunndyrundersøkelser i de tre Oslo-elvene Mærradalsbekken (fire stasjoner), Hoffselva med Makrellbekken (fem stasjoner) og Hovinbekken (tre stasjoner). Bunndyrprøver er samlet inn ved to anledninger, vår og høst i 2020, og økologisk tilstand er vurdert på bakgrunn av ASPT-indeksen, i henhold til gjeldende nasjonale vurderingskriterier (Veileder 02:2018). Undersøkelsene viste at ingen av elvene som helhet oppfyller vannforskriftens miljømål om god eller svært god økologisk tilstand. Generelt var tilstanden best i elvenes øvre deler og avtok med økende urban påvirkning. Kun tre lokaliteter oppnådde god tilstand basert på ASPT; de to øverst plasserte stasjonene i Hoffselva (HOF1 og HOF2) og den øverste stasjonen i Hovinbekken (HOV1). Den øverste stasjonen i Mærradalsbekken (MÆR0) var i moderat tilstand (på grensen til god). Øvrige stasjoner var i moderat, dårlig eller svært dårlig tilstand. Resultatene støttes opp av dominansforhold i bunndyrsamfunnet, samt mangfold innen døgnfluer, steinfluer og vårfluer. I tillegg er det brukt tre vannkjemiske målinger, samlet inn av Oslo kommune v/Vann- og avløpsetaten, til å vurdere påvirkning basert på utvalgte parametere. Resultatene er i tråd med tidligere undersøkelser som viser at mange urbane elvestrekninger i Oslo ikke oppnår vannforskriftens miljømål.
