Bu çalışmada, Analitik Kimya laboratuvar dersi “Işık-madde etkileşimine dayanan UV/Görünür bölge spektroskopik analiz yöntemi uygulamaları” konusunda, proje tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımının öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, ön ve son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Konu, deney grubunda proje tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımı ile kontrol grubunda ise öğretim programına uygun şekilde yürütülmüştür. Son test akademik başarı puanlarının Mann-Whitney U Testi analizi sonuçlarına göre; öğrencilerin akademik başarılarında proje tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımının kullanıldığı deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark olduğu gözlenmiştir (p

It is aimed to analyze the change of the pre-service science teachers‘ attitudes towards chemistry laboratories using case-based learning, an active learning method, in this research. This research is an semiexperimental study with a control group. The sample of this research was originated by the second-year students (N=61) of the department of science education in Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Buca Education. In the first stage of the research, a case about the experiment of determining the ionization constant of weak acid (Ka) was created and the case was discussed among the student groups in the experimental group as a workshop. In the second stage, the experiment was performed in the laboratory. And in the control group, the experiment was performed using conventional teaching methods. Bu çalışmada Analitik Kimya dersi elektrokimya konusunda öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir çoktan seçmeli sorulardan oluşan bir kimya başarı testi geliştirilmiştir. Güvenirlik ve geçerlik çalışmalarını yapmak amacıyla hazırlanan başarı testi, 2013–2014 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde, dört farklı Üniversitenin Eğitim ve/veya Fen Edebiyat Fakültelerinde Analitik Kimya dersini almış öğrencilerden oluşan toplam 340 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Analitik Kimya dersi “Elektrokimya” konusuyla ilgili literatür ve kitaplar incelenerek, konunun hedef ve hedef davranışları belirlenmiş ve 50 sorudan oluşan Kimya Başarı Testi hazırlanmıştır. Testin geçerliliğini sağlamak için alanlarında uzmanlaşmış üç öğretim elemanının bu test hakkındaki görüşleri alınmış ve alınan görüşler doğrultusunda gerekli düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. Hazırlanan Kimya Başarı Testi için Cronbach α güvenirlik katsayısı 0,935 olarak bulunmuştur. Testin madde analizi ise ITEMAN madde analizi programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Yapılan madde analizi ile testin ortalama madde güçlük ve ayırt edicilik endeksleri sırasıyla 0,497 ve 0,489 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar geliştirilen test ile geçerli ve güvenilir sonuçlara ulaşıldığını göstermektedir. Madde zorluk ve madde ayırt edicilik endeksleri ayırt edilebilir düzeyde bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak 50 maddeden oluşan Kimya Başarı Testi’nin, lisans öğrencilerinin “Elektrokimya” konusunda akademik başarılarını ölçmede kullanılabilecek yeterli düzeyde geçerlik ve güvenirlik değerlerine sahip bir test olduğu saptanmıştır, In this study, a valid and reliable chemistry achievement test consisting of multiple-choice questions was developed in order to measure the academic achievements of students related to electrochemistry subject in Analytical Chemistry course. The prepared chemistry achievement test was administered to a total of 340 students taking Analytical Chemistry course in faculties of education and/or science and literature of four different universities in the fall semester of 2013-2014 academic year for reliability and validity studies. The goals and target behaviors of the subject are identified by examining literatures and books regarding “Electrochemistry” subject in Analytical Chemistry lesson and Chemistry Achievement Test consisting of 50 questions was prepared. In order to ensure the validity of the test, three faculty members specialized in the field also gave their opinions about the test and necessary corrections were made in line with the received comments. Cronbach’s α reliability coefficient was found to be 0.935 for prepared Chemistry Achievement Test. Item analysis of the test was performed by using ITEMAN item analysis program. With the item analysis of the test, the average item difficulty and item discrimination indices were calculated as 0.497 and 0.489, respectively. These results indicated that valid and reliable conclusions were obtained with the developed test. Item difficulty and item discrimination indices were found in discriminable levels. As a conclusion, it can be said that the Chemistry Achievement Test has adequate levels of reliability and validity and can be used to measure academic achievements of undergraduate students in “Electrochemistry” subject.
