The effects of oscillatory flow structures on transient convective heat transfer in an air-filled shallow enclosure with a vibrating side wall are investigated. Oscillatory flows and Rayleigh-Benard convection have been extensively studied by using theoretical and experimental methods. To our best knowledge, the influence of oscillatory flows on classical Rayleigh-Benard convection problem has not been studied. In the present study, fluid motion is driven by the periodic vibration of the enclosure side wall. The vertical walls of enclosure are adiabatic while the bottom wall is isothermally heated and top wall is kept at initial temperature. The fully compressible forms of the Navier-Stokes and energy equations are considered to compute the interaction of oscillatory and gravitational flow fields. A control-volume method based, explicit time-marching Flux-Corrected Transport (FCT) Algorithm is used to simulate the transport phenomena in the enclosure. Results of a test case simulation with stationary walls are compared with the existing literature for code validation. The oscillatory fluid motion significantly changes the transient behavior of the in the enclosure compared the pure Rayleigh- Benard convection.

A numerical investigation was carried out in order to predict the effects of symmetric heating on irregular acoustic streaming in air-filled shallow enclosures. The fluid motion is driven by periodic vibration of the enclosure left wall. The vertical walls of the enclosure are adiabatic while the horizontal walls are heated symmetrically. A control-volume method based, explicit time-marching Flux-Corrected Transport Algorithm is used to simulate the transport phenomena in the enclosure. Three dimensional and transient numerical simulations were performed in order to obtain the flow and the temperature fields in the cabin. The time dependent Navier Stokes and energy equations for turbulent flow conditions were solved by a commercial CFD package (ANSYS Fluent). The obtained temperature distribution and the air circulation velocity in the cabin comply with the EN 14750-1 standard for both cooling and heating modes of the air conditioning unit. Clinical studies using autologous CAR T cells have achieved spectacular remissions in refractory CD19+ B cell leukaemia, however some of the patient treatments with CAR T cells failed. Beside the heterogeneity of leukaemia, the distribution and senescence of the autologous cells from heavily pretreated patients might be further reasons for this. We performed six consecutive large-scale manufacturing processes for CD20 CAR T cells from healthy donor leukapheresis using the automated CliniMACS Prodigy (R) platform. Starting with a CD4/CD8-positive selection, a high purity of a median of 97% T cells with a median 65-fold cell expansion was achieved. Interestingly, the transduction rate was significantly higher for CD4+compared to CD8+ T cells and reached in a median of 23%. CD20 CAR T cells showed a good specific IFN-gamma secretion after cocultivation with CD20+ target cells which correlated with good cytotoxic activity. Most importantly, 3 out of 5 CAR T cell products showed an increase in telomere length during the manufacturing process, while telomere length remained consistent in one and decreased in another process. In conclusion, this shows for the first time that beside heterogeneity among healthy donors, CAR T cell products also differ regarding cell senescence, even for cells manufactured in a standardised automated process.
