La connaissance de la faune ichtyologique des eaux ivoiriennes préoccupe à la fois les scientifiques et les responsables de développement du secteur de la pêche. En effet, l’intensification croissante de l’exploitation des ressources halieutiques en milieu continental fait planer de réels risques de régression et de disparition des espèces. Cette étude vise à caractériser la variation spatio-temporelle de la faune ichtyologique et d’identifier les indices biologiques qui déterminent la distribution des espèces de poissons et l’état d’exploitation de ces poissons dans le fleuve Bandama. Les poissons ont été échantillonnés de juillet 2019 à juin 2020 à partir des captures des pêcheurs locaux. Chaque spécimen identifié, est pesé et mesuré. L’analyse spatio-temporelle a indiqué une variation non significative (p > 0,05) de la faune ichtyologique et des indices de diversité H’ et E. Néanmoins, L’analyse de la structure du peuplement (H’ de 2,09 à 2,34; E de 0,83 à 0,85) a révélé un milieu fluvial assez diversifié. Il est dominé par les Cichlidae et Cyprinidae au niveau des familles et Labeo coubie, Coptodon zillii et Chrysichthys nigrodigitatus au niveau des espèces quel que soit le site de pêche. Ce peuplement est composé majoritairement de spécimens juvéniles. Les résultats de ce travail constituent une étude de base pour les gouvernants dans la mise en place de plan de gestion durable des ressources halieutiques en milieu continental. L’essentiel de la production du fleuve Bandama est fourni par les Cichlidae et dans la localité de Tiassalé. Néanmoins, les indices de diversité calculés montrent une ichtyofaune diversifiée. Cette ichtyofaune est dominée par des juvéniles.

Fishing is important in the fight against food insecurity, unemployment and in creating jobs. This study describes the socio-economic effects of fishing activities in the Agneby-Tiassa region. Information was collected through a questionnaire, interview and direct observation in the field. Analysis of the data obtained showed that fishing activities in Agneby-Tiassa is a source of jobs and earnings. Daily earnings vary between 15000 and 25000 FCFA. The fish marketing is carried out by women, 24% of whom are wholesalers, 18% of whom are smokers. Those who resell the fish represent 76%. The income derived from this activity allows the actors to mainly educate their children (35%). The consumption of fish contributes to the satisfaction of the food needs of the populations and to the improvement of health thanks to the intakes of proteins, iodine and vitamins.

This study was carried out on lower Bandama River between July 2013 and June 2014. For this study, a daily monitoring of fish marketing activities and a repeat-pass survey of fish sellers and their marketing technique in selected localities were performed. The results of this work have shown that sales of fish on the Bandama River are ensured by at least 65 fish sellers (42 Ivorians and 23 foreigners). They are mostly young people at Tiassale and N'Zianouan and older at Singrobo. They are largely illiterates and we can notice wholesalers, intermediate and retailers. The fish is mostly sold fresh. The transformation of the product is done by traditional smoking exclusively by women. The distribution of fish is done in two circuits: short circuit (in the same locality) and a long circuit (between cities). This market is hampered by the poor roads, lack of adequate means of preservation of the product during transport and random fixing of selling prices. Fisheries management involves, among other things, knowledge of the actors and the catching gear used. These data are generally absent in the fisheries of Côte d'Ivoire. However, there is a strong fishing activity. To lead this study, surveys were conducted among fishermen and fishery administrators. The study of fishing activity in the area of Dioulabougou (Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa) in the district of Bouaflé done from November 2013 to February 2014 identified 88 fishermen. This population is composed of ivorians (39.77%) and foreigners (60.23%). The fishing activity is led by malians (Bambara ethnic group): 34.1%. Baoulé ethnic group (29.54% of ivorian fishermen) is the greatest ethnic group of ivorians. Two categories of fishermen stand in the fishing activity. We registered professional fishermen whose job is only fishing (84.1%) and professionals with another activity (4.5%). The fishing activity in Dioulabougou is dominated by adult aged more than 45 years (48%). Fishermen are predominantly illiterate at 42.04%. The fishing techniques used at Dioulabougou are conical fishing baskets (mesh and trunk of ronier), bamboo-traps, gillnets, bottom lines and shore seines. The illiterate situation of fishermen isa serious matter for sustainable management on fish’s resources.
