小学校から中学校にかけての学習では "身の回りの物質" を観察・実験する項目が数多くある。中学校の理科で取り上げられる炭酸水素ナトリウム（重曹）の熱分解の実験・観察の指導をする際にいろいろと工夫した結果について述べる。炭酸水素ナトリウムは調理や清掃などで身近に使われる物質である。その熱分解を身近な食べ物の話から入って実験観察を行うとともに、熱分解によって生成する物質のうち、水に注目して、その水をさらに分解するために電気分解を行っている。われわれの生活には欠かせない水の電気分解より、確かに水はH2Oであるということが自らの実験を通じて理解できるとともに、物質が元素の結合や分解によってさまざまな形を取りうることも理解できるような授業展開を試みた。マクロな現象だけではなく、ミクロな目で化学変化を見ること、また、近年の中学生の実験の授業に対する取り組みの姿勢に対応した実験方法・考察の仕方など授業を展開する上での工夫とそれに対する生徒の反応とを合わせて述べる。

The coking phenomenon within low- density ablative material exposed to aerodynamic heating is studied. The char density of the tested material is measured by slicing the material thinly, and by weighing each of the sliced test pieces. Measured density profiles of the tested materials are compared with the calculated results obtained by a thermal response code. The surface and internal state of both pre- and post- materials are observed by using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Computed Tomography (CT). The results show that the measured density profiles is inversely increased to the heated surface. 宇宙航空研究開発機構総合技術研究本部(旧称:独立行政法人航空宇宙技術研究所)において、2次元軸対称有限要素アブレーション解析コードFISCAMが開発された。本コードは、航空宇宙技術研究所において開発された熱伝導解析FEMプログラムTHAPを元に、通常の熱伝導に加えてアブレーション挙動を再現できるよう改造を施したものである。アブレーション材料の挙動は大きく3つ(炭化領域／熱分解領域／母材領域)に分かれている。3領域とも通常の熱伝導方程式が適用されるが、熱分解領域では母材が熱分解により炭化を起こし、それに伴い熱分解気体が発生し、その結果潜熱が奪われ、発生した気体は炭化領域から外部に向けて流出する。炭化領域についてはこの分解ガスの質量流量は一定と仮定する。また、表面においては外部からの空力加熱、酸化による発熱、放射による熱流出、昇華による熱吸収が考慮され、空力加熱については表面からの熱分解ガスの流出による熱流入遮断効果を考慮している。このFISCAM開発の目的は、再突入物体やロケットノズルに代表される2次元軸対称物体が強力な熱荷重を受けた際に材料が熱分解を起こし、炭化しつつ熱分解ガスを放出、同時に表面炭化層が酸化により失われ後退する現象であるアブレーション挙動を解析することであった。従来より開発、使用していたコードは1次元であり、FISCAMのような軸対称物体に適用できるコードにより、肉厚が大きくかつ曲率の大きい物体の挙動に対し、1次元解析よりも精度よく再現する事が可能になる。加えてFISCAMは基礎方程式の離散化に有限要素法を用いている事も特色の1つであり、FISCAMと同様の目的で開発されたと考えられるNASAエイムズ研究所で開発されたコードなどに対する差別化も図っている。, The Finite-Element based Identification System of Charring Ablative Materials (FISCAM) Program is presented. The program was developed for the analysis and identification of heat conduction problem which includes thermal decomposition of material, pyrolysis gas generation, and surface recession due to combustion of the charring material. The governing equation of two-dimensional axisymmetric heat transfer problem was discretized using a finite-element mathematical model. USERSミッションでは再突入フェーズを利用して、再突入時に発生する衝撃層内の輻射光の分光スペクトル取得実験が行われた。再突入力プセルの先端ノーズ部半径は0.55mで、再突入速度は約7.5km/sであった。高度約90km付近で取得されたスペクトルからは、従来の予測では考慮されていなかったOH、NH、CHなどのアブレータと大気構成化学種との反応生成化学種からの発光が支配的であった。そこで、アブレーションを考慮したCFD解析を行い、その影響についての評価を試みた。その結果、壁面付近ではアブレータ起源化学種と大気構成化学種の反応化学種からの発光が無視できないほどの強度になることが示唆された。, READ (Reentry Environment Advanced Diagnostics) flight experiment was conducted by making use of the reentry phase of the USERS (Unmanned Space Experiment Recovery System) mission. In this experiment, the recovery module with 0.55 m nose radius was reentered with the velocity of 7.5 km/s, and the radiation spectrum along the stagnation line was obtained. At the high altitude (about 90 km), ablator originated species such as OH, CH, NH, which were not taken into consideration in the pre-flight prediction of the spectrum, were observed mainly. In this study, the effect of the ablator originated species on the spectrum were investigated by CFD analysis. 平成12～14年度科学研究費補助金(基盤研究(C)(2))研究成果報告書, （研究概要）フエノキソ架橋型二核化配位子に焦点を絞り、「ビスマスイオン認識ユニット」と「異種金属認識ユニット」を組み込んだ新しい非対称型配位子を合成した。この配位子にBiを挿入したメタラサイクル型Bi単核錯体を出発原料に用いる事で、多様なBi-dブロック二核系[Bi- V(IV)=O,-Cr(III),-Mn(III),-Fe(III),-Co(III),-Ni(II),-Cu(II)]、Bi-pブロック二核系錯体[Bi-Zn(II),-Al(III)]が得られる事を明らかにした。ビスマス錯体の多くは水で速やかに加水分解を起こし、不溶性のビスムチル塩 (BiO^+)を生成するが、この二核化キレート多座配位子から得られるBi(III)-異種金属系錯体は加水分解を起こさず、NMR測定からも水中で安定に骨格を保つ事が確認された。 Bi(III)-Cu(II)系錯体の熱分解過程をTGAより解析した結果、300℃という比較的低温で配位子が完全に分解し、600℃以上ではBiは全て複合酸化物になる事がXRD法により確認され、この方法が均一性の高い複合酸化物を得るのに有効な手法である事を提案した。 2-ヒドロキシルエチルN-イミノジ酢酸(H_3heida)を用いて、(NH_4)[Bi_3(heida)_3(OH)]・ 6H_2・MeOHを合成し、X線構造解析によりμ-3-OHユニットを有するBi三核クラスターであることを明らかにした。この錯体は3つのBiイオンが不完全キュバン骨格を形成しており、その金属欠損部位にNH_4^+イオンが捕捉されている。NH_4^+イオンのK^+に置換したカリウム誘導体の合成に成功し、各種分光学的測定から、先のNH_4誘導体と同様な異種金属キュバン骨格の四核錯体であることを明らかにし、この方法がBi_3M型異種金属キュバンクラスターの合成に有効である事を提案した。, In order to establish rational preparative method to create Bi-based hetero-metal dinuclear complexes, a new phenol-based ligand H_6L was prepared. Reaction of H_6L with Bi(N0_3)_3・5H_2O afforded mononuclear Bi complex [Bi(H_3L)]・H_2O, where Bi atom is trapped into "Bi-recognition site" embedded in the ligand.This complex still contains an empty coordination site for a second metal ion, and indeed reacts with a variety of d-block and p-block elements.Successfully isolated dinuclear complexes are as follows ; Bi-V(IV)=O, -Cr(III), -Mn(III), -Fe(III), -Co(llI), -Ni(II), -Cu(II), -Zn(II), and -AI(III).As potential precursors for polymetallic oxides, thermal decomposition process of these complexes was examined using TGA analysis and XRD measurement.As a representative case, Bi-Cu hetero-nuclear complex loses all of its organic ingredients at around 300℃ to become a mixture of Bi_2CuO_4, Bi_2O_3, and CuO.The latter two ingredients further react each other at higher temperatures, and finally causing disappearance of Bi_2O_3 ingredient above 600℃. Another approach to hetero-metal clusters was also examined.A commercially available ligand N-2-hydroxyethyl)iminodiacetic acid(H_3heida)reacts with Bi ion in a mixed solvent of aqueous ammonia and methanol to give trinuclear Bi complex (NH_4)[Bi_3(heida)_3(OH)]・6H_2O・MeOH.Its structure is characterized as an incomplete cuban[Bi_3(μ-O_alkoxo)_3(μ_3-OH)], where the three Bi atoms are bridged by the hydroxide ion (μ_3-OH) and adjacent Bi pairs are further bridged by the alkoxo oxygen of heida^.The metal deficient position of the pre-cubane is occupied by NH^+_4 through hydrogen bonding toward the three bridging alkoxo oxygens.The NH^+_4 can be easily replaced by K^+ to form a mixed cluster [Bi_3K(μ_3-O)_4].This finding suggests that the trinuclear pre-cubane may function as a potential precursor for the mixed clusters of [Bi_3M(μ_3-O)_4] type, where M is d-block and p-block elements, while no such mixed metal clusters have been obtained yet., 未公開：P.38以降（別刷論文のため）

When azox ybenz ene-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid[1] was heated at abo ut 360℃, [1] was phyrolyzed to form azobenzene-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid[2], 2-hydroxyazobenzene-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid[3] and resinous material. The aqueous solution of sodium salt of [1] was irradiated to give the corresponding o-hydroxyazo-compound, Na salt of [3], Treatment of [1] with sulfuric acid at 90℃ gove [2],[3], 4'-hydroxy-azobenzene-4-carboxlic acid[4] and carbon dioxide., アゾキシベンゼン-4,4'-ジカルボン酸[1]を約360℃に加熱すると，[1]は熱分解し，アゾベンゼン-4,4'-ジカルボン酸[2], 2-ヒドロキシアゾベンゼン-4,4'-ジカルボンサン酸[3]と樹脂状物を生ずる。[1]のナトリウム塩水溶液を光照射すると相当するo-ヒドロキシアゾ化合物,[3]のNa塩を与える。[1]を90℃で硫酸で処理すると[2],[3],4'-ヒドロキシアゾベンゼン-4-カルボン酸[4]および二酸化炭素を生成する。
