İnternetteknolojisi günümüzün en etkin kullanılan teknolojisidir. Yaratılış amacıaskeri ve akademik kurumlarda yapılan araştırmaları kolaylaştırmak için ortamoluşturması olan internet gelişimi ile birçok alanda kullanılmaya başlanmıştır.İnternet teknolojisinin insan hayatındaki rolü büyümekte ve genişlemektedir.İnternet insan hayatında büyük kolaylıklar sağlamaktadır, fakat son dönemlerdeinternet amacı dışında ve amacını aşacak kullanım şekilleriyle dikkatçekmektedir. Uzmanlar bu türden kullanımı bağımlılık olarakdeğerlendirmiştirler. İnternet bağımlılığı günümüzün gittikçe artan vegenişleyen önemli problemlerinden biri haline gelmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, BÖTEöğretmen adaylarının internet bağımlılığı konusunda düşüncelerinin öğrenmek, özfarkındalık durumlarını açığa çıkarmak ve gelecekte yapılacak alan çalışmalarıiçin fayda sağlamaktır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemleriyle yapılmıştır. Veritoplama araçlarından mülakat kullanılmıştır. Mülakat formu Young internetbağımlılığı kısa formunun Türkçeleştirilmiş literatürü yardımıylahazırlanmıştır ve alan uzmanları tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Verilerinanalizinde içerik analizi yapılmış veriler kodlanarak literatür yardımıylabelli temalar oluşturulmuştur. Temalar alan uzmanları tarafındandeğerlendirilmiştir. Görüşmeler Bilgisayar laboratuvarında tek-tek seskayıtları alınarak yapılmış ve sonrasında kelime-kelime transkriptedönüştürülmüştür.Görüşmelerin verileri değerlendirilerek on tema altındatoplanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucu öğretmen adaylarının internet bağımlılığıkonusunda kavram boyutunda genel bilgiye sahip oldukları, fakat olarak internetbağımlılığı konusunda ve etkileri hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıklarıgözlemlenmiştir.

Buçalışmanın amacı ülkemizde eğitimde mobil öğrenme eğilimlerini ortayakoymaktır. Mobil öğrenme, m-öğrenme, mobil learning ve m-learning anahtarkelimeleri kullanılarak 2007 ve 2017 yılları arasında ülkemizde yapılmış 76çalışma(tez, makale ve konferanslar) incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında eldeedilen veriler doküman incelemesi esaslarına göre değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmakapsamında; yapılan araştırmaların türlerinin dağılımı, yazar dağılımı,araştırma yöntem dağılımı, örneklem büyüklükleri ve örneklem tercih seviyeleri,yoğunlaşılan öğrenme alanları, kullanılan veri toplama araçları, kullanılanistatistik yöntemleri, bağımlı ve bağımsız değişkenler, öğrenmede kullanılanmobil teknolojiler ve mobil öğrenme ile gerçekleşen dersler hakkında betimselanalizler yapılmıştır. Mobil öğrenme üzerine en çok çalışma %18,4 ile 2015yılında yapılmıştır. Araştırmaların türü %43,4 ile en fazla makale olmuştur. Son 10 yılda mobil öğrenme alanıüzerine yapılan çalışmalardan %21,1’i uygulama ve geliştirmeye yönelik çalışmalarınolduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmaların %52,6’sı 1yazarlı çalışmalardanoluşmaktadır. Örneklem büyüklüğü %18,4 ile 0-30 kişi arasında ve %39,5 ilelisans düzeyinde olmuştur. Öğrenme alanı %65,8 ile mobil öğrenme üzerineolmuştur. Araştırmalarda verilerin toplanması için en fazla anketinkullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenci görüşleri, akademik başarı, motivasyon,kalıcılık ve tutum en fazla tercih edilen bağımlı değişkenler olmuştur.Çalışmaların %30,3’de mobil teknolojiolarak akıllı telefon kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaların %15,8’inde yabancı dilöğretimi üzerine durulmuştur., The rapid development in technology has led to an increase in new mobiledevices and technologies. The services provided in the electronic environmentare no longer available in mobile environments. Mobile device use and wirelessinternet usage are increasing day by day. In this period, called as mobile age,mobile technology affected almost all fields and also affected the educationfield. This has made mobile learning a new model for today. Especiallynowadays, internet and mobile applications are becoming more and more common,and it is important to work on the adaptation of technological developments andmobile learning.In this study, it is aimed to examine the studies on mobile learning ineducation in our country and to reveal the tendency in the studies. Thus, it isexpected that this study will contribute to the researcher who will studymobile learning in our country. In this study, which is expected to guide theresearchers working on the field of mobile learning in their own researches, wehave systematically investigated all the studies that can be reached from thestudies on this subject in our country. The sub-objectives of the survey are toseek answers to the following questions within the scope of the studiesexamined.1) How is the distribution oftypes of publications according to the years of work and in total?2) How is the distribution ofresearch methods?3) How is the number ofauthors in the research according to years and in total?4) How is the sample sizedistribution based on the research types and the total?5) What is the preferredsample level according to the type of research and in total?6) What are the areas oflearning that are concentrated according to the types of research and in total?7) Which data collection tool(s) are the most used?8) What are the most commonlyused dependent variables?9) Which statistical method(s) is the most used?10) Which mobile learningtechnologies are used the most?11) What lessons do mobilelearning studies have been made on?Descriptive analysis has been carried out to determine the trends of theresearches on the mobile learning field. In the qualitative research model,principles of document analysis were applied in the process of obtaining andinterpreting the data. A search was made from Google scholar and all databasesthat the Uludağ University Library have a membership and from the Higher EducationCouncil (YÖK) thesis center, by using the mobile learning, m-learning, mobilelearning and m-learning keywords, and studies puplished between 2007 and 2017.It was benefited from the studies in the field to create the themes andcodes appropriate for the scope of the research. The data and findings wereobtained from the investigations investigated within the scope of the study.The studies examined within the scope of the study were shared among theresearchers and analyzed according to the principles of document analysis(analysis). The data obtained by a researcher was shared with the otherresearchers, the data were verified, the data were verified and a 93.9%compliance rate was obtained.In this study; “1) Most studies on mobilelearning (18.4%) were conducted in 2015. Surveys were conducted mostly in thetype of article (43.4%). In addition, studies in the area of mobile learning indoctoral theses have been scarce.2) In the last 10 years, ithas been seen that the studies on the mobile learning field are about 21,1% ofthe studies for application and development. Researchers have found that themixed (qualitative quantitative) method is the most preferred method.3) It was determined that52.6% of the researches had 1 author study. 1 author studies were conducted in2008 at most.4) Among the studies on mobilelearning in education, the most preferred sample is between 0-30 people with18.4% preference. It is also seen that there are non-sampling studies and theproportion of these studies (22.4%) is not very low.5) When we look at the samplelevels of the researches, 39.5% of the samples were preferred at the licenselevel.6) It is seen that 65.8% ofmobile learning is the most concentrated learning area, and secondly it is thestudy of language education.7) Survey was preferred with amaximum rate of 18.4% for data collection in the research.8) As a dependent variable,students 'views / student-teacher views / student-academicians' opinions werepreferred by 19.7%. Mobile learning(46.1%) was found to be in the most commonlyused independent variable.9) The most qualitative dataanalysis methods were used in the study with 32,9%.10) Mobile learning is the mostpreferred smartphone with 30.3%. It is also seen that there are a lot of studiesin which mobile learning technologies are not used.11) Surveys were conducted onlearning foreign languages at the rate of 15.8%.” findings were obtained.As a result of this research, the multiplicity of efforts to implementand develop the method is remarkable (21,1%). This supports the idea thatmobile learning is a new field in education.It is seen that licenses are preferred as sample level from studiesdone. The reason for this is that most of the researchers are academicians. Inaddition, the fact that they worked with small samples (0-30) in their studiesis thought to be due to the fact that the academicians prefer easily accessiblesamples and it is difficult to control them in large groups.When we look at the distribution of statistical methods used in thestudy, it is seen that the method of qualitative analysis is the majority. Forthis reason, it is thought that mobile education is a new field in education.In the vast majority of studies, smartphone is the foreground as the technologyused in mobile learning. This is thought to be due to the fact that thestudents have smartphones.With this study, it is thought that researchers will provide guidanceabout research method, sample size, sampling level, learning area, datacollection tool, statistical method that can be used and mobile learningtechnology used.

Student perceptions about course content, and student engagement, achievement, prior knowledge, and department of enrollment were investigated through an ex-post-facto research study at the school of education in a large university in Turkey. The following questions were explored: (1) What are the topics in computer literacy students are most and least interested in, (2) is this perception related to the department of enrollment, and (3) how do prior knowledge and department of enrollment affect engagement and achievement? ANOVA and MANOVA were used to analyze data from 212 freshmen taking the Computer-I course. It was found that students from different departments differ significantly on achievement and engagement. Moreover, achievement can be predicted from prior knowledge but prior knowledge cannot be predicted from engagement. Parallel to the literature, students who have little or no prior knowledge are less successful. Overall, students are not as much engaged in schoolwork as one would expect, Türkiye’deki bir üniversitede eğitim fakültesindeki öğrencilerin ders içerikleri hakkındaki algıları ile derse katılımı, başarısı, hazırbulunuşluğu ve bölümleri, ex-post-facto araştırma metodu yardımıyla araştırılmıştır. Şu sorulara cevap aranmıştır: (1) Bilgisayar okuryazarlığında öğrencilerin en çok ve en az ilgisini çeken konular nelerdir, (2) öğrencinin bölümü bu kararı etkilemekte midir ve (3) hazırbulunuşluk ve öğrencinin bölümü, öğrencinin başarısı ve derse katılımını nasıl etkiler? Birinci sınıfta okuyan ve Bilgisayar-I dersini alan 212 öğrenciden toplanan veri ANOVA ve MANOVA yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Farklı bölümlerde okuyan öğrencilerin başarı ve derse katılım düzeylerinin anlamlı bir şekilde farklı olduğu bulunmuştur. Başarı hazırbulunuşluğa bağlı olarak değişmektedir fakat hazırbulunuşluk öğrencinin derse katılımını etkilememektedir. Literatürde bulunduğu gibi, başlangıçta az veya hiç bilgisi olmayan öğrenciler ders sonunda daha az başarılı olmuşlardır. Eğitimde teknoloji kullanımı üzerine artan bir ilgi var. Teknoloji yardımıyla öğrenme faaliyetlerine etkili bir şekilde katılabilmeleri için öğrencilerin bilgisayar konusunda bilgili olmaları gerekiyor. Internet öz-yeterliği, bilgisayar uzmanlığının potansiyel bir göstergesidir. Bu çalışmada ilköğretim öğrencilerinin genel ve iletişim öz-yeterliklerinden oluşan İnternet öz-yeterliklerini etkileyen faktörler araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan veriler 2008-2010 yılları arasında desteklenen bir araştırma projesinin parçasıdır. Araştırmaya on değişik ilköğretim okulundan 609 öğrenci katılmıştır. Birçok öğrenci ile ilgili faktöre bağlı olarak öğrencilerin İnternet özyeterliklerini araştırmak için MANCOVA analizinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar öğrencilerin İnternet öz-yeterliklerinin oldukça yüksek olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Öğrencilerin İnternet öz-yeterliğini etkileyen faktörler olarak günlük bilgisayar kullanımı, haftalık e-posta kullanımı ve evde İnternet bağlantısı olması öne çıkmıştır. Öğrencilerin sınıf düzeyi ve cinsiyetin İnternet öz-yeterliği üzerine etkisi bulunamamıştır. Günümüzde FATİH projesi gibi geniş kapsamlı projeler yardımıyla teknoloji entegrasyonu Türk milli eğitiminde daha da ön plana çıkarken, bu çalışmanın sonuçları öğrencilerin teknoloji konusundaki güvenlerini anlayarak hareket etmek açısından faydalı olacaktır

Instruction practices have to take students’ characteristics into consideration. Learning styles are just one of them. The purpose of this study is first to identify the learning styles of teacher candidates and later to determine and to investigate the relationship between their learning styles, course achievement and gender based on the departments. 909 teacher candidates at Uludag University participated in the study in Spring, 2011. The data collection tool used in this study was Turkish form of Felder and Soloman Index of Learning Style. Participants’ final exam scores were used as their achievement scores. Frequency and percentage analysis, median, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney U tests were used to analyze the data. At the end of the study, it was concluded that there is no significant difference between male and female candidates with regards to their learning styles. Besides, females are more successful than males and there is no significant difference between teacher candidates from different departments on their learning preferences. Likewise, learning styles do not have a significant impact in predicting their computer course achievement, Öğretim uygulamaları öğrenci özelliklerini dikkate almak durumundadır. Öğrenme stilleri bu öğrenci özelliklerden sadece biridir. Bu çalışma öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmaya Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören ve 2011 bahar yarıyılında Bilgisayar II dersini alan 909 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplamak amacıyla, Felder ve Soloman Öğrenme Stilleri İndeksi’nin Türkçe’ye uyarlanmış formu kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların dersin final sınavından aldıkları puanlar ders başarısı verisi olarak kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analiz edilmesinde frekans ve yüzde hesaplamaları ile ortanca, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Ki-Kare ve Mann-Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda kız ve erkek öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerinin anlamlı düzeyde farklılık göstermediği, bilgisayar dersi için kızların erkeklerden daha başarılı olduğu, farklı bölümlerdeki öğrencilerin öğrenme tercihleri arasında bir fark bulunmadığı ve öğrenme stillerinin öğretmen adaylarının bilgisayar dersi başarılarını tahmin etmede güçlü bir etkiye sahip olmadığı tespit edilmiştir

Bu araştırma çalışması, sınıf ortamında geleneksel biçimde kullanılan kendine özgü bir çevrimiçi bilgi sisteminin Fen Bilgisi müfredatına entegrasyonuna ilişkin nitel ve nicel bir rapor niteliğini taşımaktadır. Öğrencilerin bir konuyu anlamak için, çevrimiçi bilgi veritabanını ve araçlarını nasıl kullandıkları incelenmektedir. Öğrencilerin, Fen Bilgisi dersinde kullanılan ağ tabanlı öğrenme aracının kullanılabilirliğini, özelliklerini, içeriğinin niteliğini, ağ-tabanlı öğretimin yapısını nasıl kavradıklarını anlamak için derinlemesine bir analiz yapılmıştır. Araştırma ayrıca Fen Bilgisi dersim ağ-tabanlı öğrenimin, öğrencilerin fen bilgisi öğrenimindeki basan ve tutumları üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya çıkarmasını amaçlamaktadır. vıBu çalışmanın ömeklemi, Özel Bilim Okullarının 6., 7., ve 8. sınıflarının 51 öğrencisidir. Çalışma 2004 - 2005 öğretim yılında yürütülmüştür. Fen Başarı Testi (FBT) ve Tutum Ölçeği (TÖ) öğretim yılının başlangıcında ön-test olarak uygulanmıştır. Öğretim yılının sonunda da son-test olarak uygulanmış ve öğrencilerle beşerli gruplar halinde görüşme yapılmıştır. Fen Bilgisi dersi web sitesinin kullanımının toplam süresi, ağ kayıt sistemi aracılığı ile tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın nitel sonuçlan, FBT ve TÖ'nin ön-test, son-test uygulamaları arasında anlamlı farklılıklara işaret etmektedir. Buna ek olarak sitenin kullanım süresi ile fen bilgisi dersi öğrenimindeki başarı arasında olumlu bir bağlantı ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışmanın nicel sonuçlan, öğrencilerin fen bilgisini öğrenmesi için ağ sitesinde verilen bilgi miktarının, İnternete girişin, ödevlerin ve sınavların çevirimiçi yapılmasının önemli bir rol oynaldığını göstermektedir. Buna karşın öğrenciler arkadaşlan ile iletişim kurmak adına elektronik posta ve sohbet odalannı kullanmak yerine, yüz yüze iletişim kurmayı yeğlemişlerdir ve ayrıca kullanım kolaylığı açısından cep telefonu ile SMS göndermeyi yeğlemişlerdir. Çalışmanın sonuçları ve tartışılması, öğretmenler ve eğitim tasarımcılarının ağ destekli öğretimde kullanılabileceği bazı ipuçlarını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Aynı zamanda çevirimiçi öğrenmenin anlaşılmsına katkıda bulunmakta, gerçek eğitimsel etkinlikleri gerçekleştiren öğrenciler üzerinde deneysel çalışma yapılmasına temel oluşturmaktadır. This exploratory study provides a qualitative and quantitative report on the integration of a specific online information system into the science curriculum using authentic tasks in a class setting. It investigates how they use an online information database and tools to create meaning. An in-depth analysis was done to understand students' perceptions about the usability of a web-based learning tool used in science course, properties of a web-based learning tool, the quality of the content, and the structure of web-based instruction. It also aimed to explore the effects of the Web-based learning in a science course on students' achievement and attitudes toward science learning. The subjects of this study were 51 Özel Bilim Okulları students in secondary school (6th, 7* and 8th grades) classes. It was conducted throughout the academic year of 2004-2005. ivThe Science Achievement Test and attitude scales for science learning were given as pre-tests at the begging of academic year. They were given as post-tests and the students were interviewed in groups of five at the end of the academic year. The total time of using the web site of the course was kept by Web log-system. The quantitative findings of the study indicated that there were significant differences between the pre-tests and post-tests of the science achievement test and attitude scale. In addition, there were a positive relationship between the site usage time and achievement and attitude of the students towards science learning. The qualitative findings of this study showed that the amount of information supplied in the web site of the course, access to the Internet, doing assignments and taking online exams played important roles in students' science learning. However, the students did not prefer to use e-mails and chat rooms to collaborate with their fiends. They preferred to communicate face to face with their friends, and they preferred SMS because of ease of use. The results and the discussion set out in this study have some important implications for teachers and instructional designers. The study contributes to an understanding of online learning and provides a basis for empirical study of learners performing real educational tasks. The insights gained in this small- scale study will help teachers construct better online learning environments with regard to pedagogy and technological innovation. Bu Çalışmanın asıl amacı fizik dersi ile birlikte verilen bilgisayar benzetişimli deneylerin yerdeğiştirme ve hız kavramlarını anlamadaki etkisini yine dersle birlikte verilen geleneksel laboratuvar çalışması ile karşılaştırmaktır. Öğrenci grubu ODTÜ Özel lisesinden 61 fen sınıfı öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. 2 fen sınıfı rastgele seçildikten sonra, öğretim stratejileri sınıflara tesadüfi seçim yoluyla yapılmıştır. Deney grubuna bilgisayar simülasyonlu deney, kontrol grubuna da geleneksel laboratuvar yöntemi yerdeğiştirme ve hız kavramlarını anlatmak üzere uygulanmıştır.Bu çalışma için gerekli verileri elde etmek için Hız ve Yerdeğiştirme Kavramları Başarı Testi (HYKBT) ve Mantıksal Düşünme Yeteneği Testi (MDYT) bütün öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Başarı Testi çalışmanın öncesinde ve sonrasında, Yetenek testi ise sadece bir kez çalışmanın başlangıcında uygulanmıştır.Bu testin verilerini analiz etmek için t-test ve çoklu regrasyon metotları kullanılmıştır. Sonuç bilgisayar benzetişimli deneylerden faydalanan öğrenci grubunun hız ve yerdeğiştirme kavramlarını anlamada istatistiksel olarak daha iyi olduklarını ortaya koymuştur. Bu da bilgisayar benzetişimli deneylerin bazı konularda en az laboratuvar deneyleri kadar etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Diğer yandan uygulanan öğretim yöntemi, mantıksal düşünme yeteneği ve aralarındaki etkileşimin birlikte başarı varyansa anlamlı bir katkıda bulunduğu saptanmıştır. Öğretim yöntemi ve mantıksal düşünme yeteneğinin başarıya katkısı ayrı anlamlıyken, aralarındaki etkileşimin tek başına başarıya katkısı anlamlı çıkmamıştır. The main aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the computer simulated experiments (CSE) over hands-on laboratory approaches on students's understanding of displacement and velocity concepts and when both teaching methods are used as a supplement to regular instruction.The sample consisted of 61 tenth grade science class students from METU college. After selecting two science classes, each teaching strategy was randomly assigned to one class. The experimental group received CSE approach, and the control group received hands-on laboratory approach to understand the displacement and velocity concepts.To obtain necessary data for this study, The Velocity and Displacement Concepts Achievement Test (VDCAT) and the Logical Thinking Ability Test (LTAT) were administered to all subjects. The VDCAT was used as both pre-test and post-test. The LTAT was administered once at the beginning of the study.t-test and multiple regression were used to analyze the data collected from the two tests. The results indicated that there was a significant difference between CSE group and hands-on group for the post-test measure of VDCAT. The CSE group took significantly higher scores than hands-on laboratory group with respect to VDCAT.This study suggests that the CSE approach is at least as effective as hands-on laboratory experience. Hence, it is possible to use a CSE in place of a laboratory experience in teaching of physics concepts.Also, treatment, logical thinking ability and interaction between them together accounted for a significant portion of the variation in achievement related to velocity and displacement concepts. Logical thinking ability and treatment each had a significant contribution to the variation in achivement, but the interaction did not. 102

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin uzaktan eğitime yönelik algılarını incelemektir. Araştırmada, nitel ve nicel yöntemlerin birlikte kullanıldığı karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Bursa ili Yıldırım, Nilüfer ve Osmangazi ilçelerinde devlete ait ortaokullarda görev yapan ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin içinden seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiş 508 ortaokul matematik öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Nitel verileri toplamak için görüşme talebini kabul eden öğretmenler arasından 8 öğretmen rastgele seçilmiştir. Bu görüşmede öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitim tanımlamaları, uzaktan matematik eğitiminin değerlendirme, kaynak, öğrenci, kazanım, konuların işlenişi, verim, iletişim, etkileşim, öğretim yöntem ve teknik, zaman-mekân açısından avantaj ve dezavantajlı yönlerini tespit etmeye yönelik sorularla uzaktan eğitim faaliyetlerini yürütürken kullandıkları araç-gereçler ve bu araç-gereçleri nasıl finanse ettiklerine dair sorular yöneltilmiştir. Elde edilen nitel veriler MAXQDA 12 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre öğretmenlere göre uzaktan matematik eğitimi zaman-mekân, kaynakların çokluğu, bazı kazanımların öğretimini kolaylaştırma, somutlaştırma, çoklu zekaya hitap etme gibi avantajlara sahip iken iletişim, etkileşim, değerlendirme, grupla eğitime olanak vermemesi, sınıf içi uygulama gerektiren etkinliklerin yapılamaması sebebiyle dezavantajlıdır. Nicel verilerini toplamak için gönüllük esasına uygun vii 500 öğretmenin katılımı sağlanmıştır. Veriler bir ölçek yardımıyla toplanmış ve IBM SPSS programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre öğretmenin uzaktan eğitim algılarında cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık yoktur. Öğrenim durumu değişkeni ile uzaktan eğitim algıları arasında temel bakışa ilişkin algı alt boyutunda yüksek lisans lehine anlamlı bir farklılığa ulaşılmıştır. Kıdem değişkenine bağlı olarak gerçekleşen farklılaşma incelendiğinde ise kaynaklara erişim alt boyutunda anlamlı bir farklılık elde edilmiştir. Bu farklılığın 5-9 yıllık tecrübeye sahip öğretmenlerde diğerlerinden daha fazla olduğu görülmektedir. The purpose of this research is to examine the perceptions of secondary school mathematics teachers towards distance education. In the research, a mixed method, in which qualitative and quantitative methods are used together, was used. The sample of the study consists of 508 secondary school mathematics teachers selected by random sampling method among the secondary school mathematics teachers working in state secondary schools in Bursa province Yıldırım, Nilüfer and Osmangazi districts. In order to collect the qualitative data, 8 teachers were randomly selected among the teachers who accepted the interview request. In this interview, teacher’s definitions of distance education, evaluation, resource, student, achievement, teaching of subjects, efficiency, communication, interaction, teaching method and technique, time-space in terms of advantages and disadvantages of distance mathematics education with questions to determine the tool they use while conducting distance education activities. Questions were asked about the equipment and how they financed these equipment. According to the results of the analysis made with MAXQDA 12, while distance mathematics education has advantages such as time-space, abundance of resources, facilitating the teaching of some achievements, concretization, addressing multiple intelligences, according to the teachers, it does not allow communication, interaction, evaluation, group education, and activities that require in-class practice. disadvantageous because it cannot be done. In order to collect quantitative data, 500 ix teachers participated on a voluntary basis. According to the results of the analysis, there is no significant difference according to gender in the perceptions of teachers about distance education. A significant difference was found in favor of master's degree in the dimensions of perception of basic perspective between the variable of education status and perceptions of distance education. When the differentiation depending on the seniority variable is examined, a significant difference was obtained in the sub-dimension of access to resources.

Zaman içerisinde değişen ve gelişen öğretim sistemlerinde teknolojinin eğitim müfredatları içerisindeki etkisi oldukça önem kazanmaktadır. Scratch ve diğer öğretim teknolojileri, günümüzde birçok kazanımı öğrencilere kazandırdığı ve birden fazla duyu organına hitap ederek öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırdığı için eğitim müfredatlarına entegre edilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Çalışmada algoritma öğretiminin, geleneksel yönteme kıyasla, Scratch ile kullanımın başarıya etkisi araştırılmış, öğrenciler detaylı şekilde gözlemlenmiş ve görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Araştırmada karma model kullanılmış, nicel ve nitel verilerin toplanmış, analiz edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Nitel ve nicel verilerin toplam süreci eş zamanlı olarak uygulandığından araştırmanın deseni ‘yakınsayan paralel desen’ olarak belirlenmiştir. Var olan iki sınıftan rasgele şekilde deney ve kontrol grubu oluşturulmuştur. Kontrol grubunda 14 öğrenci ve deney grubunda 19 öğrenci bulunmaktadır. Başarı testi araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş ve kapsam geçerliliği bir uzman tarafından gerçekleştirilmiştir. Başarı testi 103 kişiye uygulanmış ve güvenirlik analizine tabi tutularak alfa katsayısı 0,78 olarak vi bulunmuştur. Başarı testi, ön test ve son test şeklinde uygulanmıştır. Araştırmadaki her iki gruba da ön test uygulanmış, üç haftalık eğitim verilmiş ve son test uygulanmıştır. Deney grubunda Scratch ile algoritma örnek soruları çözülürken, kontrol gurubunda aynı örnek sorular, geleneksel yol ile çözülmüştür. Nicel araştırma, nitel veriler ile desteklenmiş ve katılımcılarla yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat uygulanmıştır. Bu görüşmede elde edilen nitel veriler gruplanarak anlamlı bulgular çıkarılmıştır. Deney grubu öğrencilerine, Scratch ile yapılan uygulamaları derinlemesine incelemek amacıyla uygulama gözlem formu oluşturulmuştur. Nicel araştırma sonucunda algoritma öğretiminde Scratch kullanımının, geleneksel öğretim yöntemine kıyasla öğrenci başarısı üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisi olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Ama her iki öğretim yönteminin de öğrenci başarısını arttırdığı, deney grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin başarı ortalamasının kontrol grubundakilerden daha fazla olduğu görülmüştür. The effect of technology in educational curricula is gaining importance in the changing and developing education systems. Today, Scratch and other instructional technologies are being integrated into educational curricula as it provides many gains to students and facilitates learning by addressing multiple sensory organs. In this study, the effect of algorithm teaching on the success of using Scratch compared to the traditional method was investigated, students were observed in detail and their opinions were consulted. Mixed model was used in the research, quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analyzed and interpreted. Since the total process of qualitative and quantitative data was applied simultaneously, the design of the study was determined as paralel convergent parallel pattern.. Experimental and control groups were randomly formed from two existing classes. There were 14 students in the control group and 19 students in the experimental group. The achievement test was developed by the researcher and the scope validity was performed by an expert. The success test was applied to 103 people and alpha coefficient was found to be 0.78 after reliability analysis. Achievement test was applied as pre-test and post-test. Both groups were given pre-test, three-week training and post-test. In the experimental group, the sample questions were solved by Scratch algorithm, while in the control group the same sample questions were solved in the conventional way. The quantitative research was supported by qualitative data and a semi-structured interview was conducted with the participants. The qualitative data obtained in this interview were grouped and significant findings were viii obtained. Application observation form was created for the experimental group students in order to examine the applications made with Scratch in depth. As a result of the quantitative research, it has been found that the use of Scratch in algorithm teaching has no statistically significant effect on student achievement compared to traditional teaching method. However, it was seen that both teaching methods increased student achievement and the average of students in the experimental group was higher than the control group.

İçinde bulunduğumuz yüzyılın son yıllarında popüler olan eğitim yaklaşımlarından çıkanlardan birisi STEM eğitimi (Science-Techonology-Engineering-Mathematics), bir diğeri ise Maker hareketliliği olduğu görülmektedir. Günümüz dünyasında popüler olan bu yaklaşımların üzerine yapılmış araştırmaların incelenmesi ve bu alanlarda çalışacak olanlara en güncel bir çerçeve sunmak amacıyla bu meta-sentez çalışması yapılmıştır. Çalışma 20102019 yılları arasını kapsamaktadır. Araştırmaya 88 çalışma dâhil edilmiş bu çalışmaların 55 tanesi tez çalışması, 33 tanesi makale çalışması olarak seçilmiştir. Seçilen çalışmaların yazarları, yapıldığı yıl, yapıldığı ülke, elde edildiği veri tabanı, veri toplama aracı ve örneklem grupları ayrıntılı olarak tablo şeklinde verilmiştir. Meta-sentez çalışması için temalar oluşturulmuş bu temalar altında gruplandırılmıştır. Temalar altında gruplandırılan çalışmalar bulguları ve sonuçlar üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Meta-sentez çalışması kapsamında 10 tema oluşturulmuş, temalar altında toplanan çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, bu eğitim yaklaşımlarının öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına olumlu etki ettiği, örneklem gruplarına göre genel olarak öğretmen, öğretmen adayı ve öğrencilerin bu eğitim yaklaşımlarına yönelik görüşlerinin olumlu yönde olduğu, STEM ve Maker eğitim yaklaşımlarının bilimsel süreç becerilerini kazandırdığı ayrıca bu eğitim yaklaşımıyla çalışan bireylerin karşılaştıkları problemlere daha rahat çözüm ürettikleri incelenen çalışmaların sonuçlarında görülebilmektedir. Bu araştırma sonunda, araştırmacılara ve uygulayıcılara STEM ve Maker hareketliliği üzerine yapılacak çalışmalar için öneriler sunulmuştur. One of the popular approaches to education in the last years of this century is STEM education (Science-Techonology-Engineering-Mathematics) and the other one is Maker mobility. This meta-synthesis study was conducted in order to examine the researches on these approaches which are popular in today's world and to provide the most up-to-date framework for those who will work in these fields. The study covers the years 2010-2019. 88 studies were included in the research, 55 of them were selected as thesis work and 33 of them were selected as article work. The authors of the selected studies, the year in which they were conducted, the country in which they were conducted, the database from which they were obtained, the data collection tool and sample groups were given in the form of tables. Themes were created for the meta-synthesis study and grouped under these themes. The studies grouped under themes were evaluated based on their findings and results. According to the results obtained from the studies gathered under the themes of the meta-synthesis study, 10 themes were positively affected the academic achievement of the students. Maker education approaches have gained scientific process skills and it has been concluded that individuals who work with this education approach produce more comfortable solutions to the problems they face. At the end of this research, researchers and practitioners were offered suggestions for the studies on STEM and Maker movements. 104

Dünyanın dört bir yanındaki web sitelerinde yoğun bir şekilde yayılmanın ardından, engelli bireylerin bu web sitelerini nasıl kullanabileceği ve onlarla etkileşime geçebileceğine dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, online tarama yapan programlardan ve direkt görme engelli kullanıcılar ile yapılan uygulamalardan alınan veriler ile Türkiye'deki devlet kurumlarına ait web sitelerin erişilebilirliğini ortaya koymak ve coğrafi bölgeler arasındaki web erişilebilirliği oranını kıyaslamaktır. Web sitelerinin erişilebilirliği, Web İçeriği Erişilebilirlik Kılavuzu (WCAG) 2.0 kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu web sitelerinin erişilebilirliğini analiz etmek için AChecker ve Wave aracı kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesi neticesinde, WCAG 2.0 ihlallerine ilişkin pek çok erişilebilirlik sorunu olduğu, Achecker aracının Wave aracına nazaran 2,5 kat daha fazla erişilebilirlik hatası tespit ettiği ve en fazla sorunun Algılanabilirlik ilkesinde olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Türkiye'deki yetkililerin, yöneticilerin ve geliştiricilerin, tüm vatandaşlara eşit erişim sağlamak için devlet kurumlarına ait web sitelerinin erişilebilirliğinin iyileştirilmesi konusu üzerinde daha fazla durması gerekmektedir. It draws attention to how disabled individuals can use and interact with these websites after intensely spreading on websites around the world. The main purpose of this study is to reveal the web accessibility of the the state institutions in Turkey and to compare the web accessibility ratio among the geographical regions with the data obtained from online scanning programs and the data received from the applications performed with direct visually impaired users. The accessibility of websites was analyzed using the Web Content Accessibility Guide (WCAG) 2.0. AChecker and Wave tools were used to analyze the accessibility of these websites. As a result of the analysis results of these web sites, it was found that there were many accessibility issues related to WCAG 2.0 violations, Achecker detected 2.5 times more accessibility errors than Wave tool and the most problem was in Perceptibility principle. The authorities in Turkey, managers and developers, to ensure equal access to all citizens, improving the accessibility of websites belonging to government agencies need to stay more on the subject. 140

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin bilişim teknolojileri dersinde robotik kodlama etkinlikleriyle ortaokul öğrencilerin blok temelli programlamaya ilişkin öz-yeterlik algıları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını araştırmaktır. Ayrıca araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin robotik kodlama çalışmalarına ilişkin düşüncelerinin ortaya konması, cinsiyete göre blok tabanlı programlamaya ilişkin öz yeterlilik algılarının belirlenmesi, bilişim teknolojileri dersi dışında Scratch kullanan öğrencilerle kullanmayan öğrenciler arasındaki öz yeterlilik algılarındaki farkın belirlenmesi ve online eğitim alan öğrencilerle almaya öğrenciler arasındaki öz yeterlilik algılarındaki farkın belirlenmesi de çalışmanın diğer amaçları arasında yer almaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında karma yöntem araştırma desenlerinden gömülü (içeyerleşik) (embedded) desenden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel aşamasında tek gruplu ön test-son test modeli, nitel aşamasında durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Bursa ilinin Nilüfer ilçesinde yer alan özel bir okulda öğrenim gören 61 kız, 61 erkek toplamda 122 6.sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin robotik kodlama etkinliklerine yönelik düşünce ve duygularını belirlemek için araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarı-yapılandırılmış mülakat formu 4 kız, 8 erkek toplam 12 6.sınıf öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. İlişkili-Örneklem t Testi sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin blok tabanlı programlamaya ilişkin öz yeterlilik algılarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur (p=0,000). Ayrıca etki büyüklüğü (d=1,28) blok tabanlı programlamanın öz yeterlilik algısı üzerinde çok büyük düzeyde bir etkisi olduğunu göstermektedir. Bağımsız (İlişkisiz)-Örneklem t testi (Independent-Samples t Test) sonuçlarına göre blok tabanlı programlamaya ilişkin öz yeterlilik algısının cinsiyete göre (p=0,629), bilişim teknolojileri dersi dışında Scratch kullananlara göre (p=0,272) ve online eğitim alan öğrencilere göre (p=0,292) istatistiksel olarak farklılık göstermemektedir.Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen nitel sonuçlara göre öğrenciler, robotik kodlama etkinliklerini eğlendirici ve kişisel gelişimlerine katkı sağlayan etkinlikler olarak görmektedir. Robotik ve kodlama alanında ilerlemek isteyen öğrenciler ilerde insanlığa fayda sağlayacak, insanların ihtiyaçlarını giderecek robotlar tasarlamak istediklerini belirtmişlerdir. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is a relationship between robotic coding activities in information technology course and self-efficacy perceptions of secondary school students about block-based programming. In addition, other purpose of the study are to a) reveal the ideas of students about robotic coding studies, b) to determine self-efficacy perceptions of block-based programming by gender, c) to determine the difference in self-efficacy perceptions between students using Scratch other than information technologies course and not using, d) to determine the difference in self-efficacy perceptions between online and non-online students. Within the scope of the research, embedded method research designs were used. In the quantitative stage of the study, a single group pre-test and post-test model was used and in the qualitative stage, a case study was used. The sample of the study consists of 61 female and 61 male students who were attending a private school in Nilüfer district of Bursa province. The semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was applied to determine the students' thoughts and feelings about robotic coding activities 12 (4 female, 8 male) 6th grade students. According to Paired-Samples t Test results, a statistically significant difference was found in the students' perceptions of self-efficacy regarding block-based programming (p = 0.000). In addition, effect size (d = 1.28) showed that block-based programming had a significant effect on self-efficacy perception. According to Independent-Samples t Test results, self-efficacy perceptions of block-based programming did not differ statistically according to gender (p = 0.629), compared to Scratch users (p = 0.272) and students who received online education (p = 0.292).According to procured qualitative results on scope of research, students think that robotic coding activities ensure entertaining and contribute their personal development. Students, who want to improve themselves about robotic and coding, determined that they want to design robots that will benefit mankind. 140

Webin teknolojilerinin kullanımı özellikle üniversite eğitiminde neredeyse bir zorunluluk haline gelirken, web sitelerinin erişilebilirlik kurallarına uymaması özel gereksinimli öğrencilerin karşısına yeni bir engel olarak çıkabilir. Bu problemden yola çıkarak yapılan araştırmada Uludağ Üniversite’sine bağlı sitelerinin erişilebilirlik değerlendirmesinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Erişilebilirlik değerlendirmesi otomatik değerlendirme yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak AChecker ve WAVE olmak üzere iki farklı otomatik değerlendirme aracı kullanılmış ve değerlendirme iki farklı kılavuza (WCAG 2.0, Bölüm 508) göre yapılmıştır. Her iki otomatik değerlendirme aracı alternatif metin, uyarlanabilirlik, navigasyon, okunabilirlik ve giriş yardımı yönergelerinde hata tespit etmiş ve sonuç olarak web sitelerinin erişilebilirlik değerlendirmesini geçemediği görülmüştür. Çıkan erişilebilirlik hatalarının çözümünün oldukça kolay olması da hataların varlığının web erişilebilirliği konusundaki farkındalık eksikliğinden kaynaklanabileceğini düşündürmüş ve erişilebilirliğin diğer ülkelerde olduğu gibi kamu kurumu sitelerinde zorunlu hale getirilmesi, üniversitelerde erişilebilirlik konusunda derslerin verilmesi gibi öneriler de bulunulmuştur. While the use of the web becomes almost a necessity, especially in university education, the failure of websites to comply with accessibility rules can be a new barrier for students with disabilities. Starting from this problem, it was aimed to make the accessibility evaluation of the sites of Uludağ University. Accessibility evaluation was done by two automatic evaluation methods Achecker and WAVE, and evaluated by two different manulas (WCAG 2.0, Bölüm 508). Both automatic assessment tools have detected errors in the guidelines for alternative text, adaptability, navigation, legibility and input aid. Hence, as a result it has been seen that websites can not pass accessibility evaluation. The fact that the resolution of the accessibility mistakes that are made is fairly straightforward suggests that the existence of errors may be due to the lack of awareness of web accessibility. Making accessibility obligatory in public institutions like in other countries, and giving accessibility lessons in universities are suggested.

Bu çalışmanın amacı Eğitimde Grafik ve Canlandırma dersinin Scratch programı kullanılarak oyunlaştırılmasıdır ve bu bağlamda oyunlaştırmanın öğrenci katılımı, motivasyonu ve başarısı üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Bu kapsamda öğrencilere bir oyunun içinde oldukları hissettirilmiş ve dönem boyunca ders oyunlaştırma unsurlarına göre işlenmiştir. Oyunlaştırma unsurlarından skor tabloları, rozetler, seviyeler ve görevler kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada Scratch programı oyunlaştırma için tasarlanacak görev ve etkinlikleri kullanmaya müsait bir ortam olduğu için seçilmiştir. Çalışma grubu bu dersi bahar döneminde alan ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmaya 12'si kadın, 25'i erkek olmak üzere toplamda 37 öğrenci katılmıştır. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması olarak yürütülmüştür. Dönem boyunca iki tür veri toplama aracıyla öğrencilerden veriler toplanmıştır. Bunlar araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış gözlem ve görüşme formlarıdır. Görüşme ve gözlemlerden elde edilen verilere içerik analizi uygulanmıştır. Analiz sonucunda veriler üç farklı kategori altında toplanmıştır. Bunlar, derste oyunlaştırmanın kullanımında (1) öğrencilerin davranışsal katılımını, (2) duyuşsal katılımını ve (3) bilişsel katılımını etkileyen unsurlar şeklindedir. Bulgulardan yola çıkılarak davranışsal katılımı en çok etkileyen unsurlar skor tabloları, aktif öğrenme, sınav stresi, puan toplama temaları altında toplanmıştır. Duyuşsal katılımı etkileyen unsurlar, ödüllendirilme, etkinlikler-aktiviteler, eğlence, rekabet temaları altında toplanırken, bilişsel katılımı etkileyen unsurlar geribildirim ve haftalık ödevler-görevler temaları altında toplanmıştır. Bu çalışmada eğitimde oyunlaştırmanın öğrenci katılım ve motivasyonunu artırdığı, eğitim sürecini daha eğlenceli bir hale dönüştürdüğü sonuç olarak da akademik başarıyı artırdığı belirlenmiştir. Oyunlaştırma öğrencilerin derse motivasyonunu ve katılımını sağlamak için güçlü bir araç olarak kendini göstermiştir. Öğrencilerin anlamakta güçlük çektiği veya sıkıldığı, belirli görev ve sorumluluklardan kaçtığı, problem olarak gördükleri derslerin oyunlaştırılması sağlanabilir. Bu şekilde öğrencinin kendi öğrenme sorumluluğunu alma probleminin ortadan kalkacağı, öğrencinin kendi bilgi ve becerilerinin farkına varmasının sağlanacağı düşünülmektedir. The focus of this study is to explore how gamification affects student motivation, engagement and achievement in the Graphics and Animation in Education course taught using Scratch. In this context, students were made feel as if they were in a game and the course was taught based on the gamification principles during the semester. Leaderboards , badges, levels and tasks were used as the gamification elements. Scratch software was selected as the delivery medium since it is a convenient tool for designing gamification activities and tasks. The study group included 12 females and 25 males, totaling 37 who took the course during the spring semester. This is a case study research study employing qualitative data. Data were conducted through observations and semi-structered interviews throughout the semester. Semi-structured observation and interview forms prepared by the researcher were used for data collection. Results of the content analysis showed that gamification significantly affected students motivation, engagement and achievement. Gamifying the education enhanced student participation and motivation, it made the training process more fun, and as a result, it enriched the academic achievement. Findings indicate that gamification is a powerful tool for promoting motivation and participation of the course. The subjects ,which are considered as problem by students and in which students have difficulty and get bored and also avoid having duties and responsibilities ,can be gamified. It is thought that in this way the problem that student doesn't take his own learning responsibility will remove and student will realize his own knowledge and skills. 133

This study is a pilot study providing preliminary findings for an impending study aiming to investigate the usability of the Website of Uludag University. The study utilizes a website assessment questionnaire, containing twenty two items inquiring how the university's website is being used by the students. It was administered to 445 students in different grade levels and enrolled in several different faculties of Uludag University. There were differences in the responses of males and females. The study provides important directions for how the upcoming usability testing should be conducted, which would potentially yield refinements to the current website.

Bu çalışmanın amacı benzer kazanımları ölçmeyi amaçlayan çoktan seçmeli test, otantik ve simülasyon tabanlı değerlendirme yöntemlerine ilişkin 6. sınıf düzeyindeki öğrenci görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırma nicel ve nitel yöntemlerin kullanıldığı karma bir modelde yürütülmüştür. Ön test ve son test uygulanan gruplar arasındaki fark, verilerin normal dağılım göstermemesi nedeniyle Kruskall-Wallis testi ile sınanmıştır. Son test grupları arasında yalnızca otantik (60,76) ile simülasyon tabanlı değerlendirme sınavı (46,24) sıra ortalama puanları arasında, otantik sınav lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin farklı değerlendirme yöntemlerine ilişkin görüşleri mülakat yöntemiyle elde edilmiştir. Mülakat yapılan öğrenciler son teste katılan 159 öğrenci arasından rastgele seçilen 20 öğrenciyle yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin otantik sınavda kendilerini daha başarılı hissetmeleri, çoktan seçmeli testin şans faktörü nedeniyle kolay gelmesi ve simülasyon tabanlı değerlendirme sınavının ise güçlü dönüt özelliği öğrenci görüşlerinde öne çıkan noktalardır. Öğrenciler bu yöntemlerin dışında öneri olarak çoktan seçmeli testin, otantik ve simülasyon tabanlı değerlendirme yönteminin bir arada uygulanabileceği karma bir model önermişlerdir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri Becerileri, Değerlendirme, Çoktan Seçmeli Test, Otantik Değerlendirme, Simülasyon Tabanlı Değerlendirme The purpose of this study is to reveal 6th grade students' opinions about multiple-choice, authentic and simulation-based assessment exams aiming to measure similar gains. The research was conducted in a mixed model design in which both quantitative and qualitative methods were used. The difference between pretest and posttest treated groups was tested by Kruskal-Wallis test due to the abnormal distribution of the data. Among posttest groups, a significant difference was only found between authentic (60.76) and simulation-based (46.24) exam mean rank scores. Students' opinions concerning different assessment methods were obtained by using interview method. Interviews were conducted with randomly selected 20 out of 159 students who participated in the final test. The points noticeable in students' opinions are that they feel more successful in the authentic exam, the multiple-choice exam appears to be easy due to the luck factor and the simulation-based exam has a strong feedback feature. Student perceptions about course content, and student engagement, achievement, prior knowledge, and department of enrollment were investigated through an ex-post-facto research study at the school of education in a large university in Turkey. The following questions were explored: (1) What are the topics in computer literacy students are most and least interested in, (2) is this perception related to the department of enrollment, and (3) how do prior knowledge and department of enrollment affect engagement and achievement? ANOVA and MANOVA were used to analyze data from 212 freshmen taking the Computer-I course. It was found that students from different departments differ significantly on achievement and engagement. Moreover, achievement can be predicted from prior knowledge but prior knowledge cannot be predicted from engagement. Parallel to the literature, students who have little or no prior knowledge are less successful. Overall, students are not as much engaged in schoolwork as one would expect. Türkiye’deki bir üniversitede eğitim fakültesindeki öğrencilerin ders içerikleri hakkındaki algıları ile derse katılımı, başarısı, hazırbulunuşluğu ve bölümleri, ex-post-facto araştırma metodu yardımıyla araştırılmıştır. Şu sorulara cevap aranmıştır: (1) Bilgisayar okuryazarlığında öğrencilerin en çok ve en az ilgisini çeken konular nelerdir, (2) öğrencinin bölümü bu kararı etkilemekte midir ve (3) hazırbulunuşluk ve öğrencinin bölümü, öğrencinin başarısı ve derse katılımını nasıl etkiler? Birinci sınıfta okuyan ve Bilgisayar-I dersini alan 212 öğrenciden toplanan veri ANOVA ve MANOVA yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Farklı bölümlerde okuyan öğrencilerin başarı ve derse katılım düzeylerinin anlamlı bir şekilde farklı olduğu bulunmuştur. Başarı hazırbulunuşluğa bağlı olarak değişmektedir fakat hazırbulunuşluk öğrencinin derse katılımını etkilememektedir. Literatürde bulunduğu gibi, başlangıçta az veya hiç bilgisi olmayan öğrenciler ders sonunda daha az başarılı olmuşlardır. Genel itibariyle, öğrenciler derse kendilerinin beklenenden daha az vermektedirler.

Öğretim uygulamaları öğrenci özelliklerini dikkate almak durumundadır. Öğrenme stilleri bu öğrenci özelliklerden sadece biridir. Bu çalışma öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmaya Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören ve 2011 bahar yarıyılında Bilgisayar II dersini alan 909 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplamak amacıyla, Felder ve Soloman Öğrenme Stilleri İndeksi’nin Türkçe’ye uyarlanmış formu kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların dersin final sınavından aldıkları puanlar ders başarısı verisi olarak kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analiz edilmesinde frekans ve yüzde hesaplamaları ile ortanca, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Ki-Kare ve Mann-Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda kız ve erkek öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerinin anlamlı düzeyde farklılık göstermediği, bilgisayar dersi için kızların erkeklerden daha başarılı olduğu, farklı bölümlerdeki öğrencilerin öğrenme tercihleri arasında bir fark bulunmadığı ve öğrenme stillerinin öğretmen adaylarının bilgisayar dersi başarılarını tahmin etmede güçlü bir etkiye sahip olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Instruction practices have to take students’ characteristics into consideration. Learning styles are just one of them. The purpose of this study is first to identify the learning styles of teacher candidates and later to determine and to investigate the relationship between their learning styles, course achievement and gender based on the departments. 909 teacher candidates at Uludag University participated in the study in Spring, 2011. The data collection tool used in this study was Turkish form of Felder and Soloman Index of Learning Style. Participants’ final exam scores were used as their achievement scores. Frequency and percentage analysis, median, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney U tests were used to analyze the data. At the end of the study, it was concluded that there is no significant difference between male and female candidates with regards to their learning styles. Besides, females are more successful than males and there is no significant difference between teacher candidates from different departments on their learning preferences. Likewise, learning styles do not have a significant impact in predicting their computer course achievement.

There is a growing emphasis on the use of technology in education. For students to effectively participate in technology assisted learning, they need to be computer literate. Internet self-efficacy is a potential indicator of computer literacy. This research study discusses the factors affecting secondary school students’ Internet self-efficacy, made up of general self-efficacy and communicative selfefficacy. The data used in this study is a part of a larger data set of a research project funded between 2008 and 2010. A total of 609 secondary school students from ten different schools participated in the study. A MANCOVA was run to investigate students’ Internet self-efficacy scores based on several student-related factors. The results revealed that students were highly confident in their Internet self-efficacy. Daily computer use and weekly email use, in addition to having Internet connection at home, were found to be significantly predicting students’ Internet self-efficacy scores. The independent variables varied in terms of which dependent variables they affect. Student grade level and gender interestingly did not have any impact on the results. As the technology integrations are becoming more apparent in Turkish public schools thorough large-scale projects like FATİH, the findings of this study will be of the essence to understand the average student profiles in terms of the confidence with the technology. Teknoloji yardımıyla öğrenme faaliyetlerine etkili bir şekilde katılabilmeleri için öğrencilerin bilgisayar konusunda bilgili olmaları gerekiyor. Internet öz-yeterliği, bilgisayar uzmanlığının potansiyel bir göstergesidir. Bu çalışmada ilköğretim öğrencilerinin genel ve iletişim öz-yeterliklerinden oluşan İnternet öz-yeterliklerini etkileyen faktörler araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan veriler 2008-2010 yılları arasında desteklenen bir araştırma projesinin parçasıdır. Araştırmaya on değişik ilköğretim okulundan 609 öğrenci katılmıştır. Birçok öğrenci ile ilgili faktöre bağlı olarak öğrencilerin İnternet özyeterliklerini araştırmak için MANCOVA analizinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar öğrencilerin İnternet öz-yeterliklerinin oldukça yüksek olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Öğrencilerin İnternet öz-yeterliğini etkileyen faktörler olarak günlük bilgisayar kullanımı, haftalık e-posta kullanımı ve evde İnternet bağlantısı olması öne çıkmıştır. Öğrencilerin sınıf düzeyi ve cinsiyetin İnternet öz-yeterliği üzerine etkisi bulunamamıştır. Günümüzde FATİH projesi gibi geniş kapsamlı projeler yardımıyla teknoloji entegrasyonu Türk milli eğitiminde daha da ön plana çıkarken, bu çalışmanın sonuçları öğrencilerin teknoloji konusundaki güvenlerini anlayarak hareket etmek açısından faydalı olacaktır.

Bu çalışma, 04-08 Şubat 2010 tarihleri arasında İstanbul[Türkiye]’da düzenlenen 2. World Conference on Educational Sciences (WCES-2010)’da bildiri olarak sunulmuştur. The study investigates whether student opinions about course content relate to achievement and how their opinions characterize them about engagement with coursework in computer literacy classes. 212 undergraduate students' achievement, opinions about course content, and engagement with coursework were identified in fall 2007. Students were asked to list the topics they found beneficial and unbeneficial. According to the results, students who found the least favorite topic unbeneficial were less successful. Students with different opinions about the content had different engagement characteristics, too. Findings are a call for more careful consideration of student opinions for improved overall success in school.
