In this article I propose a reading of the Mexican novels Púrpura by Ana García Bergua and Fruta verde by Enrique Serna as portrayals of bisexuality that both form a part of and break with a literary tradition that portrays male homosexuality. I read the use of irony and gender performance in these texts as a signaling of the social contradictions and problems that come with the bisexual orientation. The dialogue of these works with the tradition of the novel of formation problematizes the expression of non-normative sexualities and critiques sexual identities based on the heter/homo binary. I argue that these works should be included in a Mexican literary tradition that represents dissident sexualities, among which bisexuality has been marginalized and underrepresented.

A reconnaissance of the main necessities of the different populations that are not included in the action plan of Bogotá’s LGBIT public policy was carried out by identifying the different types of gender transitions which include cross-dresses, transgender, drag queens, trans men, non-binary, queer, gender fluid and closet transvestites, in order to generate a proposal that connects the different sectors of the administration in the moment of its reformulation, as well as it allows to improve the guarantee of rights for these people.

This paper aims to give an outline on the rights of LGBTI persons on the basis of the right of integration and the necessary implementation of public policies with emphasis to develop a protection system macro, this is that the Andean Community, has not only legislation but the organs and institutions created for this purpose, can handle more technicalities to address this issue, where freedom, equality will not be only based on the dignity of human beings, but full recognition of the rights to the regional level even implemented inclusive programs, non-discriminatory under the law to egalitarianism, whose recommendations are of a regional character, where the Court can without interference and giving effect to the escalation of rights, to recognize generally the right to formal equality material and non-discrimination of LGBTI groups, as has been said with emphasis on the right of integration. This thesis presents as one of the alternatives the creation of an Andean Court of Rights that is coercive on national entities in order to guarantee the rights to equality in all areas and through the Council of Citizen Participation and Social Control and promoting the creation of the National Councils for Equality in terms of gender and LGBTI issues.

Comparative and uniform law. Jurisprudence ,K1-7720 - Abstract

People with gender and sexual minority identities face specific stressors that may put their psychosocial adjustment at risk. The study of intersectionality indicates that the overlap between stigmatizations could have a synergistic effect on the mental health and well-being of sexual minorities. Therefore, it is important to study the specific factors that influence the psychosocial adjustment of minority identities resulting from the intersection between sexual and gender identity, such as queer women and non-binary people (lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, asexual and aromantic). The main objective of this study was to analyse the psychosocial and sexual identity-associated factors that influence the psychosocial adjustment of queer women and non-binary people. To this end, the following specific objectives were proposed: (1) to analyse the concordance between sexual and romantic orientation, (2) to analyse the influence of gender and sexual orientation on LB identity dimensions, psychosocial factors, and psychosocial adjustment, (3) to analyse the relationship between LB identity dimensions, psychosocial factors, psychosocial adjustment, and well-being, and (4) to analyse the influence of minority stress on psychosocial adjustment as a function of queer identity as determined by the intersection between gender and sexual orientation. Following a cross-sectional, descriptive design, 1359 women and non-binary individuals aged 18-68 years (M= 27.69; SD=6.99) participated. Sociodemographic variables, affective-sexual orientation, LB identity, psychosocial risk factors (minority stress) and protective factors (sense of community, outness, social support, self-esteem and emotional competencies), as well as their psychosocial adjustment (emotional symptomatology and well-being) were assessed. The results showed that there is concordance between sexual and romantic orientation for lesbians, bisexual and aromantic individuals, but not for asexual participants. Non-binary people presented higher levels of minority stress and worse psychosocial adjustment than cis women. Regarding minority stress, lesbians showed higher levels of distal stressors, and asexual participants showed higher levels of proximal stressors than all other identities. Minority stress was positively related to emotional symptomatology and negatively related to protective factors and well-being. In addition, minority stress and self-esteem were shown to play a mediating role in the relationship between queer identity (determined by the intersection between gender and sexual orientation) and psychosocial adjustment. In conclusion, these results highlight the synergistic effect of belonging to gender and sexual minorities and their impact on psychosocial adjustment. This study highlights the importance of including stigmatized populations in the scientific literature and studying the specific needs of each sexual identity to ensure their visibility and adequate mental health care.

The suicidal behavior of women has been pointed out as an effect of the diffuse violence suffered by women in the public and private spheres. However, in order not to universalize their psychological suffering, it is necessary to consider other social demarcations that impact their mental health, such as sexuality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the life histories and personal experiences of women of different sexual orientations who manifested suicidal behavior, in order to ascertain the relation of self-extermination with gender dispositifs and sexuality. For this, nine cisgender women, three self-declared lesbians, three self-declared bisexuals, and three self-declared heterosexuals were interviewed. After analyzing the interviews, five categories were found: "Sickening Masculinity", "Aesthetic Ideal" and "Romantic Relationships" were observed in the three sexual orientation groups; "Heterodissidence as Debauchery" was identified in lesbian and bisexual women groups; and the "Caring" category only came up among heterosexual women. In the end, such categories point to similarities and distinctions in the narratives of each sexual orientation group and the impact of gender-based violence, arising out of social misogyny.
