Aim: The aim of this study was to translate the Nursing Clinical Reasoning Scale (NCRS) into Persian and evaluate its psychometric properties. Design: This study was a methodological and cross‐sectional study. Methods: This methodological study was conducted in 2020 in a teaching hospital. After obtaining necessary permission from its developers, NCRS was translated into Persian through the method proposed by the World Health Organization. Then, its face, content, and construct validity and reliability were assessed. For construct validity assessment through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, 300 nurses (two 150‐nurse samples), who had randomly been selected, completed the instrument. Reliability also assessed through the internal consistency and the stability methods. Data were analysed using the SPSS (v. 20.0) and the AMOS (v. 5.0) software. Results: The content validity indices of NCRS and its items were 0.97 and more than 0.79, respectively. Exploratory factor analysis revealed an assessment and confirmation factor and an implementation and reflection factor for the scale which together explained 57.30% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis also confirmed this two‐factor structure (χ2/df = 2.11, NNFI = 0.952, RMSEA = 0.053, CFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.94, IFI = 0.95, and NFI = 0.96). The Cronbach's alpha and the intraclass correlation coefficient values of the scale were 0.96 and 0.94, respectively. Public Contribution: The Persian NCRS can help nursing policy makers and mentors identify the need for developing nurses' and nursing students' CR skills and implement need‐based educational courses to improve these skills. Background: Evidence suggests that an optimal workplace is a physical, chemical, biological, organizational, social, and cultural condition in which each element contributes to the employer's condition. Purpose: To develop a nursing work environment questionnaire (NWE-Q). Patients and Methods: Convergent validity was measured using Pearson's correlation test. Internal consistency for each dimension of the Nursing Work Environment questionnaire (NWE-q) was performed thanks to the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Construct validity and factor structure of the data were also assessed. Reliability was evaluated by measuring internal consistency. Interclass correlation coefficient and convergent validity were also assessed. Group validity was evaluated according to the sociodemographic characteristics collected using an independent t-test. Results: 376 nurses participated in this study. Both Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin measures of sampling adequacy were, and the Bartlett test of sphericity showed very strong evidence. Owing to oblique rotation, three main sub-dimensions were defined with good internal consistency for all items of the NWE-q (27 items), and each sub-dimension was registered. Very strong interclass correlations were assessed for the NWE-q total scores and for each sub-dimension, with the exception of the system dimensions, in which the interclass correlation showed a weak relationship. Strong positive evidence was found between the NWE-q for both the total and each sub-dimension correlated with the items of both the individual and organizational validated nursing performance questionnaires. Strong evidence was observed for both the organizational and system subdimensions according to shift and gender. Conclusion: The NWE-q was promptly completed in the online mode, and its scoring characteristics seemed to be more accessible and simpler to adopt. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims: Suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the world. It is important to evaluate its prevalence through valid tools. Among various tools, the Literacy of Suicide Scale (LOSS) has not yet been validated for Persian speaking people. Therefore, the aim of this study was to translate, evaluate and validate Batterham PJ., Calear AL et al.'s 2012 Literacy of Suicide Scale (LOSS) in the young military community. Materials & Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with a methodological approach. The sample was recruited from young military personnel who referred to counseling and psychology clinics that were chosen through convenience sampling. At first, the original version was obtained and translated into Persian by the Forward-Backward method. Then, in order to evaluate the content validity ten experts have examined the scale and content validity ratio (CVR) as well as the content validity index (CVI) of the questionnaire. Face validity was also assessed through a sample of 20 subjects from the study population. The test-retest with a two week interval along with Cronbach's alpha were utilized to examine the reliability. Finally, the questionnaire was distributed among 415 subjects to evaluate the construct and convergent validity. Findings: The results showed that based on CVR, CVI and face validity, all questions of the LOSS were at acceptable levels. The Cronbach's alpha for the subscales were estimated to be between 0.71 and 0.76, and for the total scale was 0.75. Also, all components of LOSS had a significant relationship with the total score of this questionnaire (r>0.2). Conclusion: The Persian version of LOSS has acceptable validity and reliability for use among young military personnel. Background: Social support is an external factor that can improve individuals' adaptation to stressful life events. Valid tools are necessary to measure social support in the general population. Objective: To translate and validate the "Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support" (MSPSS) in a sample of the Greek general population. Methods: We translated the MSPSS in Greek using the forward-backward translation method. We assessed test-retest reliability, internal reliability, face validity, construct validity, and concurrent validity. First, we calculated intraclass correlation coefficients and Cronbach's coefficient alpha to assess the reliability of the MSPSS. Then, we employed confirmatory factor analysis to assess the construct validity of the MSPSS. Finally, we used the Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4), the Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), the single item burnout measure, and the COVID-19 burnout scale (COVID-19-BS) to assess the concurrent validity of the MSPSS. Results: Intraclass correlation coefficients for the three subscales of the MSPSS (family, friends, and significant others subscales) and the total scale score ranged from 0.862 to 0.914 (p<0.001 in all cases). Confirmatory factor analysis supported the three factors structure (family, friends, and significant others subscales) of the original version of the MSPSS. Cronbach's coefficients alpha for the family, friends, and significant others subscales and the total scale were 0.888, 0.935, 0.935, and 0.941 respectively. Concurrent validity of the MSPSS was perfect since we found statistically significant correlations between the MSPSS and PHQ-4 (r = -0.181, p<0.001), BRS (r = 0.199, p<0.001), single item burnout measure (r = -0.068, p=0.015), and COVID-19-BS (r = -0.136, p<0.001). Conclusions: The MSPSS is a reliable and valid tool to measure social support in the general population. Background: The high prevalence and associated costs of chronic diseases have challenged global community health. The use of information and communication technology offers patients and healthcare providers the ability to respond to healthcare needs. This study develops an information and communication technology use scale for patients with chronic diseases and evaluates its psychometric properties. Methods: This exploratory sequential mixed-method study was conducted in Kashan City, Iran from September 2020 to July 2021. In the qualitative phase, 18 patients with chronic conditions were recruited via the purposeful sampling method. The initial pool of 33 items was extracted in this phase. Psychometric evaluation of the scale was examined through face, content, and construct validity. The internal consistency of the scale was assessed with the Cronbach a and its stability was examined by the test re-test. To evaluate the scale's construct validity, a crosssectional study was performed with 300 patients referring to hospital wards and private centers that provide services to patients with chronic diseases. A sequential sampling method was used to select the subjects. The exploratory factor analysis was performed using principal component analysis and the varimax rotation method in the SPSS software, version 16. Results: The initial version of the scale consisted of 33 items. A total of 6 items were removed in the face and content validity evaluation phase. Factor analysis with the removal of 4 items resulted in the extraction of 4 factors that explained 67.45% of the variance in the total scale score. The Cronbach a coefficient and intra-class correlation coefficient were estimated at 0.93 and 0.88, respectively. Conclusion: The scale developed in this study is a valid and reliable tool for measuring formation and communication technology use (including its dimensions) in patients with chronic diseases. Objective: To create, develop, and validate a scale that identifies the environmental and personal barriers that make it difficult to adhere to the practice of physical exercise on a regular basis in a population of Brazilian adults. Methods: We include adult individuals, aged 18–59 years, practitioners or former practitioners of physical exercise, with Brazilian Portuguese as their mother tongue. In the development and validation phases of the process, 6 specialists in the field of the health assessed the content validity: firstly, the specialists were asked to freely list the questions they would ask to investigate the barriers to adherence to regulating physical activity. Secondly, after compiling all the suggestions listed and eliminating suggestions with similar content, the items suggested in the first round were sent to the specialists so that an evaluation of all questions using a 5-point Likert scale and the content validity coefficient was calculated. We then evaluated the structural validity, construct validity, reliability, internal consistency, and ceiling and floor effects of the Regular Physical Exercise Adherence Scale (REPEAS). Results: Sixteen items were proposed to measure the factors that make it difficult to adhere to the regular practice of physical exercise. The internal structure of the REPEAS initially tested was based on the theoretical proposal of creating the instrument with two domains. After the structural analysis, we used the modification indices to identify the redundant items of the instrument. Consequently, the final version of the REPEAS after factor analysis had 12 items. Thus, the structure with 2 domains and 12 items presented adequate fit indices. With regard to construct validity, the REPEAS scores were compared in two distinct groups: irregular practitioners/ex-practitioners versus regular practitioners of physical exercise, in which a significant difference could be observed between groups (p < 0.001) for both the domains. Acceptable reliability was observed for the environment and personal domains, with ICC values of 0.86 and 0.94, in the same order. For internal consistency, Cronbach's alpha value was 0.908 (environmental domain) and 0.915 (personal domain), these values being adequate for the REPEAS. Conclusion: The REPEAS is a scale with a valid two-dimensional internal structure, consisting of 12 items, reliable and with a valid construct, which supports its use in the clinical, epidemiological, and research contexts in Brazil. Background: Participation and initiative of workers are effective in promoting safety in the workplace. Proactive-Safety Role Orientation questionnaire (PRO-SAFE) is a proper tool to evaluate the psychological drivers that support the proactive orientation of individuals toward workplace safety. This study was conducted to translate and measure the psychometric properties of the Persian version of PRO-SAFE. Methods: The PRO-SAFE was translated into Persian using procedures for translation and cross-cultural adaptation. To collect data, 252 employees of a steel complex were selected. To measure the validity of the questionnaire, face, content, convergent, and construct validity was utilized. The questionnaire's reliability was evaluated by assessing its internal consistency. Results: The mean of the content validity index and content validity ratio was equal to 0.83 and 0.85, respectively. We found a positive correlation between PRO-SAFE and safety behavior dimensions (r = 0.372 to 0.792, P < 0.001). Confirmatory factor analysis showed the Persian version of the PRO-SAFE questionnaire had an excellent six-factor model consistent with the original questionnaire. Cronbach's alpha of the Persian version of the PRO-SAFE questionnaire was obtained between 0.717 to 0.880. Conclusions: The Persian version of the PRO-SAFE questionnaire was found to have appropriate psychometric properties, indicating that it can be confidently used as a valid tool for assessing proactive role orientation toward safety management among Iranian employees. Our team conducted this study to develop the Smoke-Free Campus Awareness Scale and to test the validity and reliability of this scale. The study took place between November 2022 and January 2023 with individuals studying and working at a university after obtaining institutional permission and ethics committee approval. The study sample comprised 211 participants. We collected the data using the questionnaire prepared by the researchers and the Smoke-Free Campus Awareness Scale, which was content validated. Our team evaluated the scale's validity and reliability via IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 25 (IBM SPSS Corp.; Armonk, NY, USA) and AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) 25 programs. Kendall's analysis and Barlett's test of sphericity (p < .001) were significant in the study. To verify the construct validity of the Smoke-Free Campus Awareness Scale, we applied the confirmatory factor analysis and the exploratory factor analysis. After the Smoke-Free Campus Awareness Scale's exploratory factor analysis, we concluded that there was a single factor for 11 items. In the fit indices model, it was determined that the scale was compatible satisfactorily. The scale's Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.898. Test--retest reliability analysis was found significant. Purpose Knowledge advancement exposes the pharmacists to new ethical and professional challenges in providing pharmaceutical care. The pharmacist's attitude towards the ethical challenges of pharmacy practice could be of great help in assessing pharmacist's ethical sensitivity. This study aimed to design a valid and reliable questionnaire for measuring pharmacists' attitudes. Methods The present study is the second phase of a sequential exploratory mixed-method study for designing and psychometric evaluation of the questionnaire. In the first phase the questionnaire was developed using semi-structured interviews followed by content analysis. The psychometric evaluation of the questionnaire was performed examining the validity (face, content, and construct), and reliability (internal consistency and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient and Standard Error of Measurement) in a sample of pharmacists practicing in community pharmacies in Tehran and Tabriz, Iran (n = 504). The construct validity of the questionnaire was determined using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Results The Scale-Content Validity Index/Average (S-CVI/AVE) was calculated at 0.84. The results of exploratory factor analysis supported 22 items in four factors including regulations and rules, professional communications, providing and supplying medicine, and consultation and providing pharmaceutical care that are explained by a total of 49.50% of the variance. Also, confirmatory factor analysis confirmed goodness of fit indices and model fit. Cronbach's alpha Coefficient was 0.919 and ICC was 0.914. Conclusions The psychometric evaluation of the present questionnaire shows a native, valid and reliable instrument to assess pharmacists' attitudes toward ethical challenges which could be a mirror of pharmacists ethical sensitivity. Introduction: Infant colic, causing excessive crying, poses anxiety for parents and a challenge for pediatricians and nurses. The Infant Colic Scale (ICS) serves to assess the severity and causal factors of colic. Despite its significance, the psychometric properties of ICS have not been evaluated in the Iranian population. This study seeks to address this gap by assessing the psychometric properties of ICS in Iran. Methods: A sample of 220 mothers with 2-16-week-old term infants diagnosed with infantile colic was selected through convenience sampling. Following forward and back-translation, the face validity, content validity, and construct validity of ICS were systematically evaluated. Reliability was examined through both internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) and test-retest stability methods. Results: Content validity index (CVI) and content validity ratio (CVR) values for ICS were 0.94 and 0.81, respectively. The good fit indices confirmed the validity of the five-factor structure. Cronbach's alpha coefficient and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) were 0.71 and 0.94, respectively. Conclusion: The Persian version of ICS is a valid and reliable tool, suitable for assessing infantile colic in the Iranian population. Introduction: This study examines the psychometric properties of the online version of the sharenting evaluation scale (SES) with a sample of Iranian parents. Methods: A sample population of 240 parents (25% fathers and 75% mothers) with an average age of 39.63 (standard deviation = 10.41) were selected by convenience sampling method and completed the Persian version of the SES online. Results: Findings showed that concurrent validity of the SES with social comparison and social well being was within the acceptable range. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the SES was 0.92, and for the subscales of self‐control, social behavior, and implications were, respectively, 0.84, 0.71, and 0.70, which indicated good internal consistency between the items. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the Persian version of this scale same as the English version. The Persian version of the SES demonstrated psychometric properties of validity and reliability within the acceptable range (α =.70 and.84). In the present study, the results of convergent validity showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between sharing and constructs, such as social comparison, self‐control, implications, and social behaviors, but no significant relationship was found between social well being and sharing. The COVID-19 pandemic reinforced the importance of supporting students' comprehensive wellbeing when teaching online. One promising approach is formative or whole-person education, which emphasizes wholeness, purpose, and community. We created a scale using a polytomous Item Response Theory modeling approach, measuring the extent to which postsecondary teachers engage in formative education online. To our knowledge, this is the first scale designed to measure this construct. The scale was developed within an exploratory sequential mixed methods study on formative education online that also included semi-structured interviews with 37 faculty members. Results from the qualitative analysis were used to develop initial items. This data-informed process increased the construct validity of the scale. We refined the original item pool through a pilot test using a sample of 308 instructors. This article presents psychometric results for the final, 10-item scale using a sample of 245 instructors. Evaluation of item fit statistics, item trace lines, and the total information curve indicate that the graded response model was appropriate for this scale. The Cronbach's alpha and marginal reliability coefficients for the final scale were .90 and .91, indicating good reliability. Background: The Demand Control Support model is useful for studying work-related stress. The combination of high demand and a low level of control generates "job strain" ("job iso-strain" if poor support is added), with implications for the worker's health and well-being. The aims of this study were to adapt, examine the factor structure of, and determine the reliability of, the Demand Control Support Questionnaire (DCSQ) short version for European Portuguese (DCSQ-PT). Methods: The scale was translated into Portuguese following a rigorous process and then applied to 501 workers from various professional sectors. An online survey was used to collect sociodemographic, professional, and Demand Control Support data. Validation was based on reliability and validity tests. Results: The mean age of the sample was 41.8 ± 10.3 years, and 50.1% of the participants were female. The results reveal good reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.807) and validity. Confirmatory factor analyses demonstrated that a four-factor solution of the DCSQ-PT scale had a good fit to the data, as was the case for the original scale. The DCSQ-PT© with 16 items is composed of the following factors: social support at work; psychological demands; skill discretion; and decision authority. The primary objectives of this study were to 1) investigate the internal consistency 2) and construct validity of the Short Musculoskeletal Function Assessment Questionnaire (SMFA) in older adults commencing physical rehabilitation in an outpatient setting. This cross-sectional study recruited older adults who had commenced physical rehabilitation in an outpatient setting. The SMFA consists of two indices: 1) dysfunction capturing the impact of musculoskeletal disorders on physical limitations, and 2) bothering capturing how the individual is emotionally affected by their disorder. SMFA holds four categories: 'mobility', 'daily activities', 'emotional status', and 'function of the arm and hand'. Participants answered the SMFA alongside other patient-reported questionnaires (such as the 36-Item Short Form Survey, SF-36) and similar) and objectively measured muscle strength for the upper and lower body and functional capacity. We included 115 older adults with a median age of 74 years (IQR 9). Adequate internal consistency was seen with Cronbach's alpha values of 0.90–0.94 for the SMFA indices and 0.77–0.91 for the SMFA categories. The strongest correlations between the SMFA indices were observed with the SF-36 physical component summary (SMFA-Dysfunction r = 0.74, p < 0.05, SMFA-Bother r = 0.72, p < 0.05). Only fair correlations were found between SMFA index scores and clinical outcome measures. This study demonstrated that the SMFA has adequate internal consistency and construct validity for self-reported health status in older adults, especially when considering components covering physical health status. However, we only observed fair correlations between SMFA and clinical outcome measures, indicating that SMFA does not adequately capture muscle strength and functional capacity. Obstetric violence refers to dehumanized or derogative treatment of women in their pregnancy, childbirth or postpartum periods and may be manifested in different ways. Currently, there is no tool validated in Spain to measure women's perception of obstetric violence. The objective of this study was to carry out the cultural adaptation and validation of an existing 14-item obstetric violence scale in the Spanish context and to evaluate its psychometric properties. The research was conducted in two phases: first, a methodological study designed to evaluate content validity, through assessments by eight experts (calculating the Aiken V coefficient) and face validity in a sample of 20 women; second, a cross-sectional study to evaluate construct validity (through confirmatory factor analysis and Rasch analysis), divergent validity against a scale of birth satisfaction, known-groups validity and, finally, reliability. In Phase 1, Aiken V values higher than 0.71 were obtained for all items. Phase 2 was conducted on a sample of 256 women and the fit values for the unidimensional model were RMSEA: 0.070 (95% CI: 0.059–0.105) and GFI: 0.982 (95% CI: 0.823–0.990). The Rasch analysis indicated poor performance of item 2, which was removed. The Omega and Cronbach's Alpha coefficients were 0.863 and 0.860, respectively. A final 13-item version of the Obstetric Violence Scale was produced, with a total score ranging from 0 (no obstetric violence perception) to 52 (maximum obstetric violence perception). The death literacy index (DLI) was developed in Australia to measure death literacy, a set of experience-based knowledge needed to understand and act on end-of-life (EOL) care options but has not yet been validated outside its original context. The aim of this study was to develop a culturally adapted Swedish-language version of the DLI, the DLI-S, and assess sources of evidence for its validity in a Swedish context. The study involved a multi-step process of translation and cultural adaptation and two validation phases: examining first content and response process validity through expert review (n = 10) and cognitive interviews (n = 10); and second, internal structure validity of DLI-S data collected from an online cross-sectional survey (n = 503). The psychometric evaluation involved analysis of descriptive statistics on item and scale-level, internal consistency and test-retest reliability, and confirmatory factor analysis. During translation and adaptation, changes were made to adjust items to the Swedish context. Additional adjustments were made following findings from the expert review and cognitive interviews. The content validity index exceeded recommended thresholds (S-CVIAve = 0.926). The psychometric evaluation provided support for DLI-S' validity. The hypothesized six-factor model showed good fit (χ2 = 1107.631 p<0.001, CFI = 0.993, TLI = 0.993, RMSEA = 0.064, SRMR = 0.054). High internal consistency reliability was demonstrated for the overall scale (Cronbach's α = 0.94) and each sub-scale (α 0.81–0.92). Test-retest reliability was acceptable, ICC ranging between 0.66–0.85. Through a comprehensive assessment of several sources of evidence, we show that the DLI-S demonstrates satisfactory validity and acceptability to measure death literacy in the Swedish context. There are, however, indications that the sub-scales measuring community capacity perform worse in comparison to other sca and may function differently in Sweden than in the original context. Aims: To perform the first psychometric analysis of the Norwegian version of the eHLQ using confirmative factor analysis (CFA) procedures in a population of patients admitted to hospital using a cross-sectional design. The eHLQ consists of 35 items capturing the 7-dimensional eHealth Literacy Framework (eHLF) which describes users' attributes, user's interaction with technologies and user's experience with digital health systems. Methods: The 7 independent scales of the eHLQ was translated from Danish and culturally adapted into the Norwegian language following a standardised protocol. Assessment of construct validity of the eHLQ was undertaken using data from a cross-sectional survey of 260 patients hospitalized at a Norwegian University Hospital in the Oslo area during a two-week period in June 2021. The analysis included using correlation analysis (Pearsons R), internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Results: All factor loadings were high to acceptable (i.e. > 0.6), except for five items which had somewhat lower loadings. Regarding internal consistency, alpha ranged from 0.73 to 0.90. For optimal CFA fit for the different scale models, correlated residuals were required for five of the seven scales. Overall our analysis shows an intermediate fit of the orginal construct. Scale intercorrelations were all below 0.8, indicating an overall acceptable discriminant validity between the 7 dimensions. Conclusions: The results from the CFA analysis indicate that for almost all 7 eHLQ scales, an acceptable model fit was achieved. The 260 hospitalized patients included in this study represented a variety of diagnoses, recruited from a geographically limited area. Further studies on psychometric properties of the Norwegian version of eHLQ in larger samples, diverse settings and by using more comprehensive approaches are warranted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The implementation outcomes determine the success and progress of a community-based intervention programme. The community is an important stakeholder whose effects should be assessed. Nevertheless, Malaysia has limited instruments for determining outcome measurements. This research aimed to develop Malay versions of the Acceptability, Appropriateness, and Feasibility Intervention Measures (AIM-IAM-FIM) questionnaire, which evaluates the implementation outcome of the programme. Methods: A methodological study of the translation and validation of the implementation outcome measures was conducted from March 2022 until December 2022. Three key analyses were conducted: (1) translation and validation; (2) factor investigation and extraction (n = 170); and (3) scale evaluation (n = 235). Result: The Malay version measuring the implementation outcome measures of a community-based intervention programme was produced after extensive translation and modification, and it consisted of a single dimension with seven items. The content validity index was 0.9, the exploratory factor analysis showed that the KMO measure of sample adequacy was 0.9277, and Bartlett's sphericity test was statistically significant. Cronbach's alpha was good, with a level of 0.938. The single factor structure fitted the data satisfactorily [χ2 (p-value of 0.002), SRMR = 0.030, CFI = 0.999, RMSEA = 0.079, TLI = 0.998]. Factor loading for all items was > 0.7. Conclusion: The 7-item Malay version of the AIM-IAM-FIM survey instrument is valid and reliable for assessing the acceptability of a community-based intervention study and is applicable to other fields. Future studies in psychometric evaluation are recommended in other states due to the variety of Malay dialects spoken across Asia. The scale may also benefit other areas where the language is spoken. Background: The Bilateral Vestibulopathy Questionnaire (BVQ) is a recently developed 54-itemPatient ReportedOutcomeMeasure (PROM) that evaluates the clinically important symptoms of bilateral vestibulopathy (BVP) and its impact on daily life. This study aimed to assess the construct validity and reliability of the BVQ in a large BVP cohort. Methods: Patients diagnosed with BVP were asked to complete a set of questionnaires, including the BVQ, the EuroQol-5D-5L, the Health Utilities Index, the Dizziness Handicap Inventory, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, and the Oscillopsia Severity Questionnaire. The construct validity of the BVQ was evaluated by confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses (CFA and EFA), followed by hypotheses testing and known groups validity. Structural properties were explored for each individual item. Reliability was assessed by testing the internal consistency of the BVQ constructs (Cronbach's alpha) and test-retest reliability [intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs)]. Results: A total of 148 patients with BVP (50% women, mean age 66 years) completed the set of questionnaires. The CFA did not show a satisfactory model in the original BVQ. However, the EFA showed a four-factor solution with 20 Likert-scale items related to oscillopsia, imbalance, emotion, and cognition. The succeeding CFA provided evidence for construct validity and an acceptable model of fit. Hypothesis testing confirmed that this shortened version validly measures the constructs to be measured. Statistically significant differences in scores between known groups were found, providing further support for good construct validity. The structural properties were acceptable. Cronbach's alpha confirmed good internal consistency for the four constructs, ranging from 0.80 to 0.89. The ICCs of the 20 Likert-scale items and four visual analog scale (VAS) items were interpreted as good (range 0.76-0.93). Conclusion: This study showed evidence of good construct validity of the new shortened version of the BVQ, consisting of four constructs with a total of 20 Likert-scale items and four VAS items. The final 24-itemBVQproved to be a reliable and valid multi-item PROM that captures the clinically important symptoms of BVP and evaluates its impact on daily life. Background: The new Knee Society Knee Scoring System (KSS) has been widely used to assess the symptoms, satisfaction, expectations, and physical activities of patients who undergo total knee arthroplasty (TKA). KSS has been translated and validated into many languages but not Persian. The aim of this study was to translate and evaluate the validity and reliability of the Persian version of the new KSS. Methods: The Persian version of the new KSS was translated and culturally adapted according to international guidelines, including translation, back-translation, pre-testing, and expert committee review. A total of 142 patients scheduled to undergo TKA were included in this study and were asked to complete the Persian-KSS, Oxford Knee Score (OKS), and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) index both two weeks before the surgery and 6 months after the surgery. Face, content, and construct validity were evaluated to assess the validity of Persian-KSS. Results: The Persian-KSS was comprehensive, indicating that the Persian version of KSS was clear and easy to understand for Persian-speaking patients undergoing TKA. The reliability of the Persian-KSS, assessed by Cronbach's alpha, was 0.894 and 0.800 for the pre- and post-operative stages, respectively. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) assessed the test–retest reliability, which was 0.766 and 0.796 for the pre- and post-operative stages, respectively. The construct validity analysis of Persian-KSS demonstrated a statistically significant correlation between Persian-KSS and the OKS (r = − 0.935, p-value = 0.000 for the pre-operative stage, and r = − 0.809, p-value = 0.000 for the post-operative stage) and VAS index (r = − 0.401, p-value = 0.001 for the pre-operative stage and r = − 0.259, p-value = 0.029 for the post-operative stage). Background: During transition to adulthood and transfer to adult healthcare, emerging adults with chronic conditions are at risk of deteriorating disease control, well-being, and acute, as well as long-term complications. Despite an increasing call for person-centred healthcare services attuned to young peoples' needs, few validated instruments exist pinpointing adolescents' and emerging adults' experiences of preparation for transition and transfer. Thus, the overarching purpose of this study was to develop a person-centred, clinically applicable instrument (Transitional care EXPeriences Questionnaire, TEXP-Q) adjustable to different chronic conditions, although the focus in the present study was Type 1 Diabetes. The specific aim was, therefore, to describe the development and psychometric evaluation of TEXP-Q in emerging adults with Type 1 Diabetes. Methods: Initial development of the TEXP-Q was inspired by existing research. Items were formulated in accordance with consensus recommendations for developing patient-reported measures, and extra consideration was taken to ensure person-centredness. Psychometric evaluation comprised two phases: In phase I, data from cognitive interviews, content validity indexing, and judgement of an expert panel provided information on face and content validity. In phase II, data from a cross-sectional study conducted at eight adult diabetes outpatient clinics in Sweden (n = 163) allowed for explorative factor analysis (EFA), as well as calculation of content validity, reliability and responsiveness. Results: Combining results from cognitive interviews, content validity index values and expert panel judgement, a test version of TEXP-Q was developed, the content and face validity of which were considered good. This version consisted of 17 items answered on a five-point Likert scale, and three open-ended questions answered in free text. During EFA, four items were removed, and a three-factor solution was recognised as most adequate, accounting for 60% cumulative variance and one single cross-loading. After EFA, the instrument comprised 13 questions, divided into three latent factors. Cronbach's alpha for the complete instrument was 0.866, which indicates good internal consistency. Crohnbach's alpha approximated to 0.8 for all factors respectively. Conclusion: TEXP-Q is a newly developed, person-centred instrument which has proven to be both valid and reliable when applied to youths with T1D. Background and Aims: Obstetric quality of recovery score-11 (ObsQoR-11) was developed in English to evaluate the quality of recovery in the caesarean section. We aimed to validate the Hindi version of ObsQoR-11 (ObsQoR-11H) for Hindi-speaking patients to evaluate the quality of recovery following the elective caesarean section. Methods: The ObsQoR-11 was translated into Hindi and assessed for validity, acceptability and feasibility. The questionnaire was administered postoperatively at 24 and 48 hours, and the Global Health Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) was used to evaluate recovery. Results: The mean (standard deviation [SD]) (95% confidence interval [CI]) ObsQoR-11 H was 75.94 (4.09)(95% CI 75.1, 76.7) and 80.25 (4.08)(95% CI 79.5, 81) at 24 and 48 hours, respectively. The mean (SD) (95%CI) Global Health NRS scores were 71.22 (5.97)(95% CI 70, 72.4) and 77.37 (5.79)(95% CI 76.2, 78.5) at 24 and 48 hours, respectively. Convergent validity showed a strong correlation between ObsQoR-11H and Global Health NRS (Spearman's correlation coefficient [rs] >0.8 and 0.78) scores at 24 and 48 hours, respectively. Discriminant validity was significant in appreciating the difference between good and poor recovery (P < 0.001). Split-half coefficient of 0.69 and 0.65 and Cronbach's alpha (α) of 0.91 and 0.82 at 24 and 48 hours suggested good score reliability. The acceptability and feasibility of the score were also good. Conclusion: The ObsQoR-11H discriminated well between 'good' and 'poor' recovery and correlated strongly with Global Health NRS scores. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to develop the Hospital-Stakeholder Collaboration (HSC) Tool and Hospital Performance Factor (HPF) Tool to explore stakeholder perception and value for hospital service improvement. METHODS: This exploratory mixed-method study involved three steps: initial tool development (Step 1), validity testing (Step 2), and module development (Step 3). In Step 1, qualitative data collection through literature reviews, focus group discussions, and interviews with hospital management experts led to the creation of the preliminary tools. Step 2 involved qualitative analysis by a 5-member expert panel, followed by quantitative analysis with 36 respondents for validity (Pearson correlation, a = 0.05) and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha, a = 0.6) tests. Step 3 encompassed the final module development. RESULTS: The HSC tool contains 6 domains and the HPF tool contains 4 perspectives. The 6 HSC domains were: 1) stakeholder identification, 2) interactive dialogue, 3) commitment, 4) planning, 5) implementation, 6) change in action and behavior. The 4 HPF perspectives were: 1) stakeholder perspective, 2) financial perspective, 3) internal business process, and 4) staff and organizational capacity. The values of the HSC tool validity and reliability tests were around 0,0046 and around 0,995, respectively. Additionally, the values of the HPF tool validity and reliability tests were around 0,0062 and around 0,995, respectively. CONCLUSION: This study offers a practical tool for needs assessment for the improvement of service by analyzing direct feedback from hospital stakeholders and measuring hospital performance factors. This study examined the psychometric properties of the Cantonese version of the SarQoL® questionnaire.Participants: A total of 118 (including 60 non-sarcopenic and 58 sarcopenic) community-dwelling older adults aged 65 years or above with Cantonese as their mother tongue.Methods: Translation and cultural adaptation of the SarQoL were conducted using a standardized protocol. To validate the Cantonese SarQoL, psychometric properties including discriminative power, reliability (including internal consistency and test–retest reliability), and construct validity (including convergent and divergent validity), as well as floor and ceiling effects, were assessed.Results: The translation of the questionnaire was completed without significant difficulties. Results indicated that the Cantonese SarQoL had (1) good discriminative power (sarcopenic participants had lower overall scores, mean = 66.1 vs 75.0, p < 0.001; the overall score was negatively predictive of the presence of sarcopenia, adjusted OR = 0.949, 95% CI = [0.912, 0.983]), (2) good internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.835; correlations between domain and overall scores ranged from 0.576 to 0.868), (3) excellent test-retest agreement (intraclass correlation coefficient = 0.801), (4) good construct validity (convergent: moderate to strong correlations were found between the overall score and almost all of the SF-36 and EQ-5D domains; divergent: weaker correlations were found between the overall score and SF-36 social functioning, ρ = − 0.098, and EQ-5D self-care, ρ = − 0.331), and (5) no floor or ceiling effect.Conclusion: The Cantonese SarQoL is valid and reliable, and thus can be used as an interviewer-administered questionnaire for assessing sarcopenia-specific quality of life in fieldwork practice. Background: In recent years, one of the concepts that has received attention in the nursing profession is professional dignity. On the other hand, there was no proper scale to evaluate this concept. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the psychometric properties of perceived clinical nurses' professional dignity scale (PCNPDS). Methods: This exploratory sequential mixed method was developed and implemented in Iran. The study was conducted in two phases; (a) item generation by hybrid concept analysis and (b) item reduction by psychometric evaluation including validity and reliability of the developed scale. Also, the interpretability (ceiling and floor effect), stability (intraclass correlation coefficient), and absolute stability (standard error of measurement) were calculated. Results: 68 items in the primary item pool were finally reduced to 22 items after evaluating the validity (face, content, and construct validity) and reliability. Exploratory factor analysis revealed three factors (organizational dignity, dignity-based competency, and dignity-based appreciation) and explained 47.55% of the total extracted variance. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model had a good fit. Finally, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, McDonald's omega, ICC, and SEM were calculated as 0.90, 0.89, 0.96, and 1.91, respectively. Background: The present study aimed to design and determine the psychometric properties of a short-form questionnaire to investigate the domestic elder abuse. Methods: This study consisted of two phases: in phase 1 we employed a modified Delphi approach with 18 participants. Consequently, content and face validity, and item analysis were applied. In Phase 2 we evaluated structural validity and convergent validity. Reliability was assessed by looking at internal consistency, stability, and absolute reliability. Results: The findings led to the development of a 27-items short form of domestic elder abuse in four domains that jointly accounted for 74.14% of the variance observed. The short form showed high internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.93) and significantly correlated (r = 0.91; p < 0.001 for both scales) with the comprehensive (49-item) domestic elder abuse. Conclusion: The short form of domestic elder abuse was found to be reliable and valid as the longer version. The short form of domestic elder abuse could lessen the burden on respondents. The present study was conducted with the aim of testing the causal relationship between the competencies of engineering science graduates and entrepreneurship with the mediating role of engineering professional ethics. The research method was applied and in terms of data collection, it was descriptive of correlation type. The statistical population was all the students of Technical and Engineering Faculties of Tehran University, 306 of whom were selected by stratified random sampling. In order to collect data, entrepreneurship questionnaires, engineering professional ethics and researcher-made questionnaires of competencies required by engineering science graduates were used. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by using the content validity of the construct and their reliability with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The data were analyzed using regression coefficient tests and structural equation models. The results showed that the entrepreneurship status of students is directly and indirectly affected by the predictor variables of professional ethics and learned competencies. Also all the components are reported as favorable and very favorable and the data model has a good fit, so the hypothesis of “the assumed model of the causal relationship between the competencies required by the graduates of engineering sciences and entrepreneurship with the mediation of professional ethics” has been confirmed. Background Staff training in organizations is a measure for developing human capital. The pathology of this process needs to be assessed to understand the current situation and solve the challenges and limitations. Objective This study aims to assess the pathology of the training process for the incident command system (ICS) staff of hospitals in Guilan Province using the three-pronged approach. Methods This is a qualitative-quantitative study. The study population in the qualitative phase included experts in the hospital ICS. In the quantitative phase, the study population included all ICS managers and staff in the Guilan Province hospitals (n= 548). The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview in the qualitative phase and a researcher-made questionnaire in the quantitative phase. For data analysis, MAXQDA software, version 2020 was used in the qualitative phase and SPSS software, version 26 was used in the quantitative phase. Results The results in the qualitative phase showed the extraction of 55 open codes, 25 axial codes, and 6 selective codes in the form of three domains of processes, context, and structure. The results in the quantitative phase showed that among all the domains, the process domain-related factors with a percentage of variance (impact) of 0.262 were more harmful than context- and structure-related factors in the training process. Conclusion The pathology assessment based on the three-pronged model is an effective method for determining the training priorities for the hospital ICS staff. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have been widely used all around the world to a great extent. Many of the MOOCs in different countries are in their native language, and there is a need to reliably assess the satisfaction levels of learners with various first languages since satisfaction stands as a critical aspect in identifying the reasons of dropouts and incontinence to MOOCs. To this end, this study aimed to translate Kumar and Kumar's (2020) "MOOC Student Satisfaction Survey" into Turkish. The researchers first translated the instrument items from English to Turkish before consulting a panel of three English experts and one Turkish expert on the suitability of the translation. A professional translator then backtranslated the scale to English, ensuring that no items were lost in translation. To establish content validity, changes were done in view of the professional feedback. The translated scale was subsequently administered to 150 former massive open online course participants for testing validity and reliability. Since this was a translation study, the same constructs of the original scale were retained, and a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted, the results of which indicated acceptable levels of validity with one item being discarded. As for the reliability values, Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the entire scale was .91, and the split-half reliability score was .87, indicating that the scale maintains good internal consistency. Purpose: Patronage of local footwear have not been encouraging in Nigeria despite recent investments. The purpose of the study is to evaluate celebrity endorsement and customer patronage of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) products in African context, with focus on trustworthiness, expertise, attractiveness, respect and similarity (TEARS) model. Design/methodology/approach: The research was designed as a descriptive survey. An online structured questionnaire was applied for data collection. Cronbach Alpha and content validity were used for reliability and validity, respectively. TEARS model was used to ascertain key dimensions, and Pearson correlation coefficient and logistic regression were applied into the analysis. Findings: The findings reveal that celebrity endorsement is not associated with patronage of local footwears, though TEARS model analysis indicates the direction of consumers rating on celebrity endorsement. Factors such as recommendation and quality impact the consumer willingness to buy local footwear. Research limitations/implications: The small sample size calls for caution in generalization. Practical implications: The study suggests that although the TEARs model is viable, all the dimensions are mutually exclusive. However, this depends on the characteristics of the brand. In driving patronage, managers must pay attention to personal and non-personal cues such as price, quality and source of information about their brand. Background: With the prevalence of new technologies and evolving student learning styles, virtual teaching methods have become increasingly popular. As a result, more and more students are opting to learn online. However, one common concern is that they may feel disconnected from their teachers, leading to feelings of loneliness and doubts about the quality of education they are receiving. To address this issue, a study was conducted to gather data on students' preferences for virtual education and to validate a tool for measuring students' preferences for virtual education. Methods: The research was conducted in a mixed method with a quantitative–qualitative sequence. A virtual education preferences questionnaire (VEPQ) for students with a total of 17 items was created and validated as part of the qualitative component by looking at the theoretical underpinnings and experts' opinions in the focus group. The scale of the six-point Likert questionnaire was from very high to very low. To validate the tool and determine preferences, exploratory factor analysis was used. A total of 155 samples answered the questions and the data were analyzed using SPSS-24 software. Results: A total of 155 complete questionnaires were returned; among them, 110 (71%) were filled out by women, 73 (47.1%) by respondents between the ages of 36 and 45, 107 (69%) were already employed in paramedical fields, and 48 (31%) were enrolled in a medical school. The opinions of ten experts were used to confirm the face validity of the questionnaire. With CVI = 0.924 and CVR = 0.805, content validity was verified. Using the internal consistency method of the questions with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of R = 0.824, the validity of the entire questionnaire was confirmed. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that a total of five components—self-directed projects (29.58%), e-content (13.00%), online presentation (10.97%), face-to-face interactions (9.12%), and text interactions (7.11%) had the highest load, with a total of 69.77% of the structure explaining virtual education preferences. The factor analysis test and the suitability of the sample are both confirmed by the value of KMO = 0.721 and the significance of Pvalue < 0.001. Conclusion: It appears that the highly valid tool developed can be used to ascertain the educational preferences of students. Aim. With the advent of an aging society and the development of end-of-life care, there is an increasing need to understand the older generation's attitude toward end-of-life resuscitation. The study aimed to develop and validate a novel attitude scale toward end-of-life resuscitation in older inpatients. Method. Instrumental development and a psychometric evaluation were used. First, a new attitude scale toward end-of-life resuscitation was formulated from literature views, expert content validity, and face validity. Next, the new scale was evaluated using a principal component analysis and internal consistency reliability in a sample from 106 medical–surgical inpatients in a southern Taiwan hospital 1 enrolled through convenience sampling. Serving as an indicator of concurrent validity, a logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the association between scores on the scale and intention to discuss end-of-life CPR issues. Results: After being validated by the expert content validity and face validity, a draft of a 20-item scale was created. Throughout the exploratory factor analysis, two items with low factor loadings were removed from the draft scale and an 18-item scale of attitude was generated. This 18-item scale had a three-factor structure that accounted for 64.1% of the total variance; the three components were named 'stress, avoidance, and ignorance', 'a peaceful death', and 'self-determination and ambivalence'. The Cronbach's alpha of the total scale and three components were 0.845, 0.885, 0.879, and 0.857, respectively, which indicated a favorable reliability. Scores on the scale were significantly associated with the intention to discuss end-of-life CPR issues, which also indicated a favorable concurrent validity. Conclusions: A 18-item attitude scale with three factors is a valid scale to measure the attitude toward end-of-life resuscitation. (1) Aim: The aim of the study was to develop and analyze the psychometric properties of a hospital perception scale for healthy children aged 8 to 10 years. (2) Methods: A methodological design was employed. The scale's validity was investigated using the approaches of content validity, face validity, item analysis, and construct validity. The scale's reliability was evaluated utilizing the approaches of internal consistency reliability, measurer reliability, and measurement invariance. (3) Results: In total, 330 children took part in this study. The scale is composed of six factors. Factor loads range from 0.42 to 0.79. The item–total score correlation coefficients were 0.42 and 0.79, respectively, while the Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was 0.87. (4) Conclusions: The HPSHC is a valid and reliable tool. Background: Malignant hyperthermia (MH) is a rare anesthetic emergency with a high mortality rate in China. We developed a WeChat applet–based National Remote Emergency System for Malignant Hyperthermia (MH-NRES) to provide a real-time emergency system to help Chinese anesthesiologists deal with MH crises. However, it is imperative that close attention should be paid to the usability of the applet. Purpose: The objectives of this study were to (1) evaluate the usability of the applet-based MH-NRES for anesthesiologists; and (2) to test the validity and reliability of a modified mHealth app usability questionnaire. Methods: A modified User Version of the Mobile Application Rating Scale (uMARS) was designed. Together with System Usability Scale (SUS) and Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ), another two well-validated questionnaires, uMARS were then used to evaluate the usability of MH-NRES. The Cronbach alpha of the total score and the subscales of uMARS was calculated to evaluate the internal consistency. The correlation coefficients among three questionnaires were calculated. Results: In this study, 118 anesthesiologists provided responses to the questionnaire. The overall mean uMARS score was 4.43 ± 0.61, which ranged from 3 to 5. The mean PSSUQ score were in good to excellent range with mean of 6.02 ± 0.97, which ranged from 3.19 to 7. The overall SUS score was 76.0 ± 17.6, which ranged from 45 to 100. The total uMARS score had excellent internal consistency (Cronbach alpha = 0.984). uMARS and its subscales were strongly correlated with PSSUQ (coefficient 0.758–0.819, P < 0.001) and SUS (coefficient 0.535–0.561, P < 0.001), respectively. Conclusions: Data obtained from the usability evaluation questionnaires in this study indicated a high quality of the MH-NRES on the ease of use, satisfaction and perceived usefulness, which suggest this system might be a useful tool for anesthesiologists' education and management of MH crises. Skilled tutors are important in equivalency education program, which is closely linked to the quality of tutors. However, the tutors still have problem with their pedagogical abilities. This problem became the focus of this study when the Technological Andragogical Content Knowledge (TACK) instrument for the tutors of equivalency education program was developed. This study aimed to develop TACK instrument and assess its validity and reliability. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) model. Ninety-seven tutors from the equivalency education program in Padang, Indonesia took part in the study. The findings of study showed that the TACK instrument was valid according to three validators, who gave it an average validity score of 88. This means that the score was high and accepted. At the same time, the trial analysis yielded an average of four responses to each question. Therefore, this statement was valid. The validity test results indicate that 90% of the statements are valid. The reliability test results yielded a Cronbach's alpha of 0.956%. It can be concluded that the instrument was reliable and valid to use in actual study to measure the level of technological andragogical content knowledge of tutors in equivalency program in Indonesia. This study investigates the effect of the information quality on the satisfaction of users of the information system considering the mediating role of the perceived value of information. In this applied study, conducted using a causal-correlation approach, the study population was all users of information system in Ahvaz public libraries. A sample size of 384 subjects was selected by simple random sampling. Data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire based on previous studies. The tools were validated by face validity and their reliability was confirmed using the Cronbach's alpha (in the value of α = 0.812, 0.866 and 0.880, respectively) and the results were analyzed by SEM using SPSS 21 and AMOS 5 software. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the information quality of the information system has a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction (P = 0.000; β = 304), and perceived value of information (P = 0.000; β = 0.000). Also, the perceived value of information has a significant effect on user satisfaction (P = 0.000; β = 644). Meanwhile, the information quality of information system has a significant effect on user satisfaction with the mediating role of perceived information value (P = 0.000, β = 0.834). We conclude that the improvement of the information system quality in terms of information quality can improve the users' perception of the value of information and their satisfaction. Background: The aim of the study was to investigate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the 20-item Fear of Self Questionnaire (FSQ) in Iranian samples. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive survey design was used. Students in universities of Tehran were invited to participate. Participants were asked to complete the Persian versions of the FSQ, Vancouver Obsessional Compulsive Inventory (VOCI), Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21), Ego Strength Scale (ESS), and Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale (RES). Face, content, and construct validity, internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha), and test-retest reliability of the FSQ were assessed. Results: Face and content validity of the FSQ were confirmed. Analysis of the principal components using the inclined rotation method showed that there were two factors with an eigenvalue >1, which explained 80.5% of the total variance. The first factor had 12 items and the second factor had 8 items. The internal consistency was 0.975, 0.981, and 0.941 for the total score and the first and second factor, respectively, whereas the test-retest reliability was 0.732, 0.729, and 0.714, respectively (all p ≤ 0.01). For convergent validity of the FSQ, correlations of the total score and the two factors of the FSQ with the scores of VOCI, RES, ESS, and DASS-21 were all significant (p ≤ 0.01). Introduction: The communication skills of individuals with dementia are affected even in the early stages of the condition. To date, there is no scale for the evaluation of communication abilities in Turkish‐speaking populations with dementia that can be used in clinical practice and research. The present study aimed to determine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Holden Communication Scale (HCS‐TR). Materials and methods: The study was carried out with 141 participants (77 female and 64 male). Psychometric analyses were conducted to assess the internal consistency, construct and criterion validity, test–retest reliability, and inter‐rater reliability of the HCS‐TR. The Standardized Mini‐Mental State Examination (SMMSE) test was used for criterion validity. For the inter‐rater reliability of the scale, the two different caregivers of individuals with dementia were administered the scale separately at the same time. For test–retest reliability, 2 weeks later, the same caregivers who filled out the HCS‐TR the first time were administered to fill out the scale again. To test the validity of the scale, an item factor analysis was performed, and the correlations between the items and subsections were determined. Results: The factor loadings indicating the adequate contribution of the scale items to the relevant dimension were within the 0.700–0.831 range. There were positive relationships between all the items of the HCS‐TR, and there was a significant negative relationship (r = −.842) between HCS‐TR and MMSE. The corrected item–total correlation values were found to be within the.676–.794 range. Cronbach's alpha values for the HCS‐TR subsection and total scores in the first and second measurements were found to be in the range of.718–.944. There was no statistically significant difference (p =.709) between the mean total scores in the first and second measurements. Conclusion: The HCS‐TR is a valid and reliable tool that can be used for clinical and research purposes to assess the strengths and limitations of the communication skills of Turkish individuals with dementia. Aim: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Cambodian Nursing Care Quality Scale. Design: Methodological design. Methods: This study was carried out in several steps: a forward‐backward translation was done, face and construct validity was measured using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and the reliability was evaluated. A convenience sampling method was employed to recruit 350 nurses from May 2021 to March 2022. Results: The exploratory factor analysis extracted six factors that explained 60.76% of the total variance. The six‐factor model is supported by confirmatory factor analysis. The Cronbach's alpha and the intra‐class correlation coefficient were 0.94 and 0.85, respectively. Aim: To conduct, translate, and psychometric evaluation of the MISSCARE‐Persian Survey. Design: A cross‐sectional study was conducted in Iran in February–June 2021. Methods: The translation of the MISSCARE Survey was accomplished according to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Construct validity was performed by (N = 300) exploratory factor analysis and confirmation. To assess the reliability, internal consistency was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and relative stability was assessed using the interclass correlation coefficient (ICC). The study adhered to COSMIN guidelines. Results: The exploratory factor analysis, which resulted in the identification of three factors in the second part of the tool, explained 79.6% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated the model's good fit of information. The reliability of the first and second parts of the tool was 0.912 and 0.901, respectively. Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop a measurement tool to determine the attitudes of health professionals towards patient privacy. Material and Methods: First, an item pool of 42 items was created by the researchers and expert opinion was presented. The scale form, whose language and content validity was ensured, was applied to the sample group, and the data obtained were analyzed through LISREL 8.54 and SPSS 22.0 package programs. The validity of the scale was evaluated using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses and reliability was evaluated using Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient, test-retest method and item analysis. Results: Exploratory factor analysis yielded a 27-item structure with 5 factors explaining 57.483% of the variance, eigenvalues above 1, and factor loadings above 0.53. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed that the scale showed a theoretically and statistically acceptable level of fit. The reliability of the scale was examined by test-retest method and internal consistency analysis. The total Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.91. There was no statistical difference between the test-retest means of the total and five sub-dimensions of the scale (p>0.05). Conclusion: The analysis shows that the scale is a reliable and valid measurement tool that can be used to determine the attitudes of health professionals towards patient privacy. Background: There is an international need for short, valid and reliable tools in order to assess the level of hospital preparedness, to identify the gaps in the functionality of hospitals and to take the appropriate measures for each organization and every major emergency situation. Objective: To create a short-form tool for evaluating hospital readiness. After checking its basic validity and reliability parameters, the tool was used to explore hospital vulnerabilities in relation to knowledge management and staff preparedness. Methodology: A short form preparedness assessment tool was created including 17 closed-ended questions, whose responses were graded on a Likert scale (0-4). The face, content, and structural validity and internal reliability of the questionnaire were tested with a nationwide convenience sample of 208 hospital employees (health and non-health care workers). Results: The study sample comprised 72 nurses, 63 physicians, 36 physical therapists, 23 administrators, and 14 technologists (20 individuals in total, 155 women). Their mean age was with 42.4±3.5 years old and the mean length of service at the specific hospital was 13.2±3.4 years. Factor analysis revealed three factors (leadership-supportive environment, collaboration-readiness with Cronbach's a values of 0.85, 0.71 and 0.83 respectively. The mean values per factor (dimension) were 1.81±0.76 for leadership, 2.75±0.62 for collaboration and 2.62±0.69 for readiness All three factors were statistically significantly and positively correlated with each other (p<0.001). Conclusions: The proposed short assessment tool shows very satisfactory construct validity and internal reliability. Deficits are highlighted in the leadership factor, with a possible impact on the other two factors as well. Background: This study aimed to test the inter-rater reliability, construct validity, and feasibility of the modified "Which Health Approaches and Treatments Are You Using?" (WHAT) questionnaires in pediatric oncology; Methods: Parent–child dyads were invited to complete self- and proxy-report-modified WHAT, Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory, demographics, a diary of the child's recent use of CHA, and a questionnaire assessing the aspects of feasibility. Parents were asked to complete a satisfaction of their children's use of the CHA survey; Results: Twenty-four dyads completed the study. The mean weighted kappa showed strong inter-rater reliability (k = 0.77, SE = 0.056), and strong agreements between the modified WHAT and the diary (self-report [k = 0.806, SE = 0.046] and proxy-report [k = 0.894, SE = 0.057]). Significant relationships were found only between recent and non-recent CHA users in relation to the easy access to CHA (self-report [p = 0.02], proxy-report [p < 0.001]). The mean scores of the feasibility scale (out of 7.0) for the self- and proxy-report were 5.64 (SD = 0.23) and 5.81 (SD = 0.22), respectively, indicating the feasibility of the modified WHAT; Conclusions: The findings provide initial evidence of the reliability and validity of the modified WHAT and their feasibility. Introduction: Interoceptive awareness is a multidimensional concept encompassing appraisals, beliefs, attention, and behavioral responses, playing a vital role in emotional regulation, decision-making, and self-awareness. As abnormal self-reported interoception is associated with mental health problems, the 37-item Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness version 2 (MAIA-2) is widely used in clinical and non-clinical settings. However, its psychometric properties in different linguistic and cultural contexts need to be examined to ensure its validity and reliability. This study aimed to explore the psychometric properties of a Persian translation of the MAIA-2. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 475 residents in Tehran (409 women and 66 men) who completed the translated MAIA-2 in 2021. Psychometric properties were assessed using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Additionally, validated measures of Emotion Regulation and Mindful Attention Awareness were used to evaluate divergent and convergent validity. Results: The eight-factor model of MAIA-2 has been confirmed with appropriate fit indices (RMSEA = 0.055 [95% CI 0.052-0.058]; SRMR = 0.064), and demonstrated improved internal consistency reliability. The MAIA-2 also exhibited significant divergent validity (-0.20 to -0.59) with the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale and significant convergent validity (0.18 to 0.38) with the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale, both at the 0.01 significance level. Additionally, the Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the factors were within the satisfactory range, ranging from 0.58 to 0.95. Conclusion: The findings concluded that the Persian version of MAIA-2 is a valuable tool for assessing interoceptive awareness in Persian-speaking populations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
