This paper deepens and expands the study of the factors determining resistance to change in employees. It includes new personality-related and structural contextual antecedents that, alongside variables related to the management of the change process and its consequences, allow the authors to contribute new evidence. The empirical analysis uses a sample of 143 employees from 7 organizations, and the results confirm the influence of cultural values, involvement in the change, perceived outcomes, and self-esteem on resistance behaviors. Theoretical conclusions associated with the potential of organization-based self-esteem to moderate the effect of cultural values on employees' resistance to change, and practical applications for organization managers, are offered. This paper is a descriptive investigation whose objective is to analyze personal factors which favor the development of a positive attitude towards academic activities, according to the opinion of two groups of tenth grade students. The investigation consists of a primary construct: a positive attitude towards academic activities, and a sub-construct: personal factors which promote such attitudes. The aspects which make up this sub-construct are positive self-esteem, motivation, assertive communication and stress management. The introduction and theoretical references provide evidence for the relationship between these factors, attitudes towards learning and student academic achievements. In agreement with the obtained results, it is concluded that the student population attaches importance to both internal and external factors related to motivation, and perceives them as significant for the development of a positive attitude towards academic activities. The same holds true for having positive self-esteem, knowing how to communicate assertively and being able to manage stress appropriately. Therefore, it is recommended that educational institutions give special attention to a student's socio-emotional development by implementing programs which promote motivation for academic achievement, improved self-esteem, the ability to communicate assertively and appropriate coping methods for stress. The present paper gives the results of a study that was based on exploration in self-esteem in two ethnic groups (Térrabas and Borucas). The advancements achieved, with a group of older adult residents in a retirement house, depending on the public sector, are shown in this paper. Its residents do not have a health professional at their disposal in order to attend their mental health. Based on these records, a psychotherapeutic intervention program was carried out, in order to improve the emotional well being of a group of people in such an institution, by providing a greater importance to those aspects relating to depressive disorders, self-esteem and the work of contact. The results showed a statistically meaningful increase in the perception of their self-esteem and an equally meaningful decrease in the levels of depression. Likewise, it could be observed, mainly, a remarkable increase in their contact abilities, listening, expression and creativity contributing in part to the fact that these old people may move around with dignity and happiness during their last years of life. This paper describes an experience of group art therapy with institutionalized children. Although several case studies are examined, an overview of the institution in itself is included as a variable to be considered in any art therapy project. For any art therapist active in an institutional setting, it is essential to work hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team, although this has not necessarily been the case in this particular experience.

Aquest article pretén estudiar la influència de l’edat i el sexe en l’autoestima dels infants a l’inici de l’etapa escolar. Vàrem administrar l’escala d’autoestima EVA (2015) a 369 nens i nenes de 1r, 2n i 3r curs de primària, i també vam preguntar als i les mestres quina autoestima atribuïen als seus alumnes. Els resultats mostren un lleuger descens amb l’edat en la Satisfacció escolar i, a mesura que augmenta el curs, també baixa l’Acceptació social. A més, les nenes han obtingut una valoració més alta en el factor Autovaloració, que inclou com elles valoren i són valorades pels pares, així com l’autovaloració física. Els nens, en canvi, se senten més acceptats en els jocs i menys tristos en general. Finalment, les atribucions d’autoestima de les mestres mostren correlacions amb les puntuacions d’autoestima dels infants. Es discuteixen les implicacions educatives dels resultats i el paper dels pares i mestres en la millora de l’autoestima dels infants.

The aim of this paper is to analyse self esteem among people with functional diversity and how it makes a situation of concealment and invisibility conditional on the functional diversity model. To this end life stories of women with physical and sensory functional diversity aged between 16 and 65 years have been selected. The research methodology is of mixed nature. The data analysis was processed by AQUAD 6 (Huber, 2006), arising code series and semantic categories. So through this instructment different narratives of women with functional diversity have been collected. The programme firstly distinguishes between descriptive and demographic and secondly between referential and interpretative codes. Personal evaluations on self-esteem by women with functional diversity are analysed, as well as how they project it onto different aspects of their lives, both personal and social. Results confirm that, in many cases, their personal configuration of self esteem distorts the process of accepting functional diversity.
