Abstract Objective With the increase in the prevalence rate and improvements in the survival of breast cancer patients, there is a growing interest in understanding the level of psychosocial adjustment in these patients. The study aimed to describe the illness perception and psychosocial adjustment levels of both breast cancer patients and their spouses, to use the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) to clarify the actor-partner relationships between spouses, and to explore the impact of illness perception on psychosocial adjustment to the disease within the joint actions of both spouses. Methods A total of 216 female patients with breast cancer and their spouses participated in the study. They were selected from two tertiary hospitals in Guangdong Province, China from October 2022 to May 2023 using a convenience sampling method. The participants were assessed using the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire and the Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale to examine the relationship between illness perception and psychosocial adjustment. AMOS24.0 was used to test and analyze the actor-partner interdependence model. Results The illness perception score (57.75 ± 10.91) was slightly higher than that of the spouse (57.10 ± 11.00), and the psychosocial adjustment score (64.67 ± 6.33) was slightly lower than that of the spouse (64.76 ± 7.49). The results of the actor-partner interdependence model indicated that there was a couple partner between breast cancer patients and their spouses: the spouse’s illness perception significantly affected the patient’s psychosocial adjustment (β = 0.095, p = 0.015); the patient’s illness perception also significantly affected the spouse’s psychosocial adjustment (β = 0.106, p = 0.033). Among them, the patient’s psychosocial adjustment was found to be related to the patient’s illness comprehensibility or coherence of illness (β = 0.433, p = 0.009), the spouse’s emotional illness representation (β = 0.218, p = 0.037), and the spouse’s illness comprehensibility or coherence of illness (β = 0.416, p = 0.007), while the spouse’s psychosocial adjustment was only related to the spouse’s illness comprehensibility or coherence of illness (β = 0.528, p = 0.007). Conclusions The psychosocial adjustment of breast cancer patients is affected by both their own and spouse’s illness perception. Therefore, in the future, the healthcare staff can implement early psychological interventions for patients diagnosed with breast cancer and their spouses as a unit to promote the psychosocial adjustment of them.

Abstract Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. The 5-year survival rate is over 90% in BC patients, but once BC cells metastasis into distal organs, it is dramatically decreasing to less than 30%. Especially, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients usually lead to poor prognosis and survival because of metastasis. Understanding the underline mechanisms of TNBC metastasis is a critical issue. Non-coding RNAs, including of lncRNAs and microRNAs, are non-protein-coding transcripts and have been reported as important regulators in TNBC metastasis. However, the underline mechanisms for non-coding RNAs regulating TNBC metastasis remain largely unclear. Here, we found that lncRNA MIR4500HG003 was highly expressed in highly metastatic MDA-MB-231 TNBC cells and overexpression of MIR4500HG003 enhanced metastasis ability in vitro and in vivo and promoted MMP9 expression. Furthermore, we found MIR4500HG003 physically interacted with miR-483-3p and reporter assay showed miR-483-3p attenuated MMP9 expression. Importantly, endogenous high expressions of MIR4500HG003 were correlated with tumor recurrence in TNBC patients with tumor metastasis. Taken together, our findings suggested that MIR4500HG003 promotes metastasis of TNBC through miR-483-3p-MMP9 signaling axis and may be used as potential prognostic marker for TNBC patients.

[Purpose/Significance] Generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been widely used in many fields, and the application of this technology has become popular among researchers. However, there are few studies on the willingness of researchers willingness to accept generative AI. This leads to an insufficient understanding of the psychological mechanism, cognitive process and behavioral pattern of users' acceptance of generative AI, which limits the ability of theoretical innovation and practical exploration in user information behavior. This study focuses on researchers acceptance of generative AI. By studying the evaluation process of ChatGPT by college students, it explores the acceptance behavior of generative AI. At the same time, it verifies the applicability of the AIDUA model in the new context, and introduces the new variable of school identity, which further extends the AIDUA model. [Method/Process] Based on the cognitive assessment theory and the AI acceptance framework (AIDUA), this paper constructs a theoretical model of the intention to use generative artificial intelligence, and develops and empirically tests the theoretical model of the intention to use generative AI. Taking college students as the main research object, based on the maturity scale in authoritative literature at home and abroad, 8 variables and 29 observation variables such as social influence, hedonic motivation and anthropomorphism were designed. College students with experience in using generative AI were invited to participate in the questionnaire survey. SPSS26.0 was used to analyze the data from 294 valid questionnaires collected. SmartPLS 3.2.9 was used to construct a structural equation model to test the hypothesis, and the JN method was used to detect the regulatory effect. [Results/Conclusions] The study found that users went through three stages of decision making before using generative AI. The PLS-SEM results show that: 1) Social influence, hedonic motivation and anthropomorphism significantly affect performance expectancy and effort expectancy, and anthropomorphism is the strongest variable affecting performance expectancy and effort expectancy. 2) Performance expectancy and effort expectancy are significantly negatively correlated with negative emotions, while hedonic motivation has no significant effect on negative emotions. 3) Negative emotions are significantly negatively correlated with users' intension to use. 4) School identity moderates the relationship between effort expectancy and negative emotions. This study combines anthropomorphic research on college students' acceptance of generative AI, and provides a framework for the acceptance of generative AI. Researchers can use this framework to better study the acceptance of AI. This study has some limitations. In the future, we will focus on the following three aspects: 1) to evaluate the users' acceptance of generative AI in different usage scenarios. 2) to use samples of other groups to test the applicability of the model, such as civil servants, librarians, researchers and other groups. 3) to incorporate variables from other technology acceptance models into the model, such as ease of use and practicality.

Abstract Background In this study, the prognostic and reproductive outcomes of women who underwent excision of uterine myomas and were sutured using different techniques while undergoing a cesarean section were investigated. Methods A total of 299 females who underwent cesarean section between January 2015 and June 2022 due to a scarred uterus were enrolled in this study. These participants were segregated into two categories: the experimental group (comprising 155 cases) in which uterine myoma (single lesion) was excised during the cesarean procedure, and the control group (consisting of 144 cases) in which only the cesarean section was conducted. A comparison between the two groups was carried out based on the following parameters: volume of intraoperative bleeding (mL), additional measures taken for intraoperative hemostasis (n, %), percentage (%) of patients experiencing postoperative fever, duration required for the passage of gas (hours [h]), length of hospital stay (days [d]), weight of newborns (kg) and their Apgar scores, and the reproductive outcomes of the experimental group assessed two years after the surgical procedure. Results In the experimental group, the amount of bleeding during surgery, occurrence of postoperative fever among women, time taken for patients to resume passing gas, and length of hospital stay were 540.65 ± 269.12 mL, 9.03%, 15.99 ± 4.68 h, and 5.08 ± 1.18 days, respectively. Self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) is crucial for achieving a glycemic target and upholding blood glucose stability, both of which are the primary purpose of anti-diabetic treatments. However, the association between time in range (TIR), as assessed by SMBG, and β-cell insulin secretion as well as insulin sensitivity remains unexplored. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the connections between TIR, derived from SMBG, and indices representing β-cell functionality and insulin sensitivity. The primary objective of this study was to elucidate the relationship between short-term glycemic control (measured as points in range [PIR]) and both β-cell function and insulin sensitivity.

Abstract Purpose Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) negatively affects the quality of life of pregnant women and is influenced by several factors. Research to date treats pregnant women with gestational diabetes as a homogeneous group based on their quality of life. We attempted to identify subgroups based on self-reported quality of life and explored variables associated with subgroups. Methods From September 1, 2020 to November 29, 2020, pregnant women with GDM from two hospitals in Guangdong Province were selected as subjects by convenience sampling method. Medical records provided sociodemographic data, duration of GDM, pregnancy status, and family history of diabetes. Participants completed validated questionnaires for quality of life, anxiety and depression. Latent profile analysis was used to identify profiles of quality of life in pregnant women with GDM, and then a mixed regression method was used to analyze the influencing factors of different profiles. Results A total of 279 valid questionnaires were collected. The results of the latent profile analysis showed that the quality of life of pregnant women with GDM could be divided into two profiles: C1 “high worry-high support” group (75.6%) and C2 “low worry-low support” group (24.4%). Investigating the physiological and biochemical changes of ectothermic species before entering hibernation would contribute to the understanding of how they adapt to low-temperature environments. Here, red-eared slider turtle (Trachemys scripta elegans) hatchlings were maintained under different thermal treatments (24 °C, slowly decreasing temperatures from 24 °C to 14 °C, and to 4 °C). Hepatic metabolite alterations were measured to assess the metabolic impacts of low-temperature stress in this species. Of these differentially changed metabolites, some (e.g., raffinose, spermidine, allocholic acid, taurohyocholate, 2-ketobutyric acid, acetylcysteine) were shown to decrease, while others (e.g., stearolic acid, D-mannose) increased in low-temperature treatments. Our results indicated that short-term low-temperature stress might have limited impacts on lipid and energy metabolism in this species. The changes in other metabolites (e.g., allocholic acid, taurohyocholate, spermine, acetylcysteine) might be associated with a low food intake (and thus reduced digestive performance) and weakened immune ability of low-temperature-exposed animals.

Traditional Chinese medicine volatile oil has a long history and possesses extensive pharmacological activity. However, volatile oils have characteristics such as strong volatility, poor water solubility, low bioavailability, and poor targeting, which limit their application. The use of volatile oil nano drug delivery systems can effectively improve the drawbacks of volatile oils, enhance their bioavailability and chemical stability, and reduce their volatility and toxicity. This article first introduces the limitations of the components of traditional Chinese medicine volatile oils, discusses the main classifications and latest developments of volatile oil nano formulations, and briefly describes the preparation methods of traditional Chinese medicine volatile oil nano formulations. Secondly, the limitations of nano formulation technology are discussed, along with future challenges and prospects. A deeper understanding of the role of nanotechnology in traditional Chinese medicine volatile oils will contribute to the modernization of volatile oils and broaden their application value.

ABSTRACTSenescence frequently occurs in cancer cells in response to chemotherapy (called therapy-induced senescence). Senescent cells can exert paracrine effects through the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) promoting cancer recurrence and chemoresistance. The altered gut microbiota has been closely associated with cancer progression through the direct interaction with cancer cells. However, little is known about the relationship between the gut microbiota and therapy-induced senescent cells. This study aimed to explore the impact of the gut microbiota on therapy-induced senescent cells and the SASP. We found that esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cells were induced into senescence following platinum-based chemotherapy, accompanied by the secretion of a robust SASP. Furthermore, senescent ESCC cells exerted a tumor-promoting effect through the SASP both in vitro and in vivo. Through 16S rRNA gene sequencing and fluorescence in situ hybridization, we identified that Fusobacterium nucleatum (F. nucleatum) was abundant in human ESCC cancerous tissues and correlated with poor prognosis in ESCC patients. Notably, F. nucleatum further promoted the secretion of the SASP by senescent ESCC cells. Compared with the conditioned medium from senescent ESCC cells, the conditioned medium from F. nucleatum-treated senescent ESCC cells accelerated tumor growth in xenograft models, enhanced migration and invasion abilities, and potentiated chemoresistance both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, F. nucleatum invaded and survived in senescent ESCC cells and induced an increase in DNA damage to further activate the DNA damage response pathway, thus enhancing the SASP. Altogether, these findings reveal for the first time that F. nucleatum promotes the secretion of chemotherapy-induced SASP to drive ESCC progression and chemoresistance, which supports F. nucleatum as a potential target for ESCC therapy.

Incremental learning is key to bridging the enormous gap between artificial intelligence and human intelligence,mea-ning that agents can learn several tasks sequentially from a continuous stream of correlated data without forgetting,just as humans do.Object detection is one of the core tasks in the field of computer vision and the cornerstone of computer images understanding.Therefore,the incremental object detection has important research and practical significance.Although incremental learning has achieved good results in image classification,the research on incremental learning based on object detection is still in its infancy.This is because object detection is more complex than image classification,which needs to solve both classification and bounding box regression problems.Many researchers have made great efforts to solve this problem,but most of the work only focuses on how to retain previous learning,ignoring fast adaptability to new tasks,which is a critical requirement for incremental learning.Based on the memory mechanism of the brain,humans can constantly extract knowledge during learning,so as to learn new tasks better and faster without forgetting.Inspired by this,an incremental meta-learning method that integrates the codec memory replay mechanism is proposed.This method encodes,stores,decodes and replays the feature vectors of learned samples,so as to approximate the dynamic learning environment as a local stationary environment and avoid catastrophic forgetting.Besides,a double-loop online meta-learning strategy is designed,which can help model to extract common structures of tasks and improve generalization performance on new tasks encountered during learning.The model is respectively updated by SGD with multiple batches of old and new mixed data in the inner loop,and is meta-updated in the outer loop.We evaluate the proposed approach on three incremental object detection settings defined on PASCAL VOC and MS COCO datasets,where the proposed algorithm performs favorably well against state-of-the-art methods.It proves that it can help the model to resist forgetting better and have better generalization performance on new tasks.The proposed algorithm is gradient-based and model-agnostic,so it has strongadaptability and can be applied on more complex detection frameworks.

Induced protein degradation has emerged as an innovative drug discovery approach, complementary to the classical method of suppressing protein function. The androgen receptor signaling pathway has been identified as the primary driving force in the development and progression of lethal castration-resistant prostate cancer. Since androgen receptor degraders function differently from androgen receptor antagonists, they hold the promise to overcome the drug resistance challenges faced by current therapeutics. Proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs), monomeric degraders, hydrophobic tagging, molecular glues, and autophagic degradation have demonstrated their capability in downregulating intracellular androgen receptor concentrations. The potential of these androgen receptor degraders to treat castration-resistant prostate cancer is substantiated by the advancement of six PROTACs and two monomeric androgen receptor degraders into phase I or II clinical trials. Although the chemical structures, in vitro and in vivo data, and degradation mechanisms of androgen receptor degraders have been reviewed, it is crucial to stay updated on recent advances in this field as novel androgen receptor degraders and new strategies continue to emerge. This review thus provides insight into recent advancements in this paradigm, offering an overview of the progress made since 2020.

This study updates Humanitarian Logistics Digital Business Ecosystem framework coupled with the development of a proposed integrated CCSD-CoCoSo MCDM method to rank factors used in assessing humanitarian and business logistics actor’s propensity to use, diffuse, and adopt a collaborative digital business ecosystem platform for their future operational use. Employing nine criteria derived from technology innovation theories and institutional theory, and 28 experts comprising our decision matrix. The findings report perceived relative advantage, perceived safety and security, and infrastructure and expertise as the top three vital criteria that experts believe when addressed in an ecosystem platform for humanitarian and business logistics actors it would encourage a collaboration for their sustainable future operations. With organisational culture and structure as the least prioritised criteria. The study concludes that the CCSD-CoCoSo obtained results are objective, validating, and that this model is useful and suitable for MCDM analysis and policy making.

Abstract Background While single-method studies have reported on the effectiveness of simulated interprofessional teaching, our understanding of its full effects remains incomplete. Teaching design also provides no relevant theoretical guidance, which reduces the scientific quality and rigor of research. The purpose of this work was to study the effects of the simulated interprofessional education (SIPE) teaching model based on the 3P theory on the course of "Clinical Critical Thinking Training" through a convergent mixed method, and to provide the basis for future teaching design. Methods A convergent mixed-method design was used, which consisted of a survey and a semi-structured interview. Data collection took place from September 2021 to July 2022. A cluster sampling method was used to select 60 full-time nursing students from a school in China, and randomly divide them into a control group of 36 and an experimental group of 24. According to the principle of voluntary participation, 6 students majoring in clinical medicine and 6 students majoring in pharmacy were recruited to join the experimental group to form an interprofessional team. The students studied “Clinical Critical Thinking Training” together, in which the control group used traditional simulation teaching and the experimental group used SIPE. The CCTDI (California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory) and AITCS-II Student (Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration in Student Learning Scale) were used for quantitative evaluation before and after the course, and descriptive statistics and Mann–Whitney U test were used to compare the critical thinking and interprofessional collaboration skills of the two groups of students. Semi-structured interviews were used for qualitative evaluation. Thematic analysis was used to understand student development on the basis of inter-professional core competencies and learning experience. Objective To investigate the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) as a treatment option for primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT) and risk factors for postablative eucalcemic parathyroid hormone elevation (ePTH).Methods This retrospective study included 51 patients with pHPT who underwent RFA. The patients were divided into the ePTH and normal PTH groups, based on the serum intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) level one month after ablation. Serum iPTH, calcium, and phosphorus levels, and the volume reduction rates (VRR) of the parathyroid glands were compared between the groups at each follow-up point. Risk factors for ePTH at one month after ablation were examined.Results After RFA, one (2%) patient had persistent pHPT, and 50 (98%) patients were cured. The incidence rates of ePTH at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months were 48%, 30%, 20%, and 16%, respectively. Serum iPTH levels in the ePTH group were higher than those in the normal PTH group at each follow-up point (all p 0.05). All patients accepted ultrasonic and pathological examination, and all pathological tissues received molecular typing with immunohistochemical (IHC) staining. BackgroundAccording to epidemiological evidence, people with type 2 diabetes mellitus have a higher risk of developing colorectal cancer.ObjectiveTo examine the relationship between colorectal cancer (CRC) and serum levels of IGF-1, IGF-1R, AGEs,RAGE and sRAGE in patients with type 2 diabetes.MethodsBy using RNA−Seq data of CRC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, we divided the patients into normal group(58 patients)and tumor group(446 patients), and analyzed the expression and prognostic value analysis of IGF-1,IGF1R and RAGE. Cox regression and the Kaplan-Meier method were used to determine the predictive value of target gene on clinical outcomes in CRC patients. In order to further combine CRC with diabetes research,one hundred forty-eight patients hospitalized in the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University from July 2021 to July 2022 were enrolled and divided into CA and control groups. There were 106 patients in the CA group, including 75 patients with CRC and 31 patients with CRC+T2DM; the control group comprised 42 patients with T2DM. Circulating levels of IGF-1, IGF-1R, AGEs, RAGE, and sRAGE in the serum of the patients were measured using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbnent Assay (ELISA) kits, and other clinical parameters were also measured during hospitalization. Statistical methods used were χ² test, independent samples t-test and Pearson correlation analysis were. Finally, we controlled for confounding factors and used logistic multi-factor regression analysis.ResultsBioinformatics analysis showed that IGF-1, IGF1R and RAGE were highly expressed in CRC patients, and the patients with high expression also showed significantly lower overall survival rate. Through Cox regression analysis, IGF-1 can be used as an independent influencing factor of CRC. In the ELISA experiment, serum AGE, RAGE, IGF-1, and IGF-1R levels were higher in the CRC and CRC+T2DM groups than in the T2DM group, but the serum sRAGE concentrations in these groups were lower than those in the T2DM group (P < 0.05). Serum AGE, RAGE, sRAGE, IGF1, and IGF1R levels were higher in the CRC+T2DM group than in the CRC group (P < 0.05). In CRC+T2DM patients, serum AGEs were correlated with age (p = 0.027), and the serum AGE levels in these groups were positively correlated with RAGE and IGF-1 levels (p < 0.001) and negatively correlated with sRAGE and IGF-1R levels (p < 0.001). Background: Cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIED) are more and more widely used in the clinical treatment of cardiovascular diseases. However, CIED implantation may also result in a variety of physical, psychological, and social problems among patients. To help patients adapt to life after CIED implantation, it is important to know patients’ needs from their perspectives. Explore the needs of CIED patients from their perspectives to guide healthcare providers to improve their quality of life. Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, the Cochrane Library, CNKI, the VIP database, the Wanfang database, and the China Biomedical Literature database were searched for qualitative studies on the experience of patients with CIED dating from January 2000 to August 2022. The quality of each article was evaluated according to the 2016 edition of the Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center Qualitative Research Quality Evaluation Criteria and an integrative meta-synthesis was undertaken. Results: A total of 18 documents were included, and 111 categories were extracted. Analysis of the data resulted in the identification of 3 themes and 12 subthemes. The first theme, Equipment Symbiosis, included “Mixed feelings about the device as part of the body”, “Mixed feelings about the patient’s role”, and “Mixed feelings about an electrical stimulus”. The second theme, External Support, included “Husband and wife relationship damaged”, “Eager to participate, unwilling to be overprotected”, “Want to return to work but are forced to leave”, and “Information supply and demand mismatch”. The third theme, Self-coping, included “How to face a doctor”, “How to deal with activity restrictions”, “How to face yourself”, “How to face the future”, and “How to face death”. Conclusions: Healthcare providers need to accelerate technological innovation and clinical adoption of CIED. Additionally, healthcare providers need to establish a diverse support system led by medical staff, with family members, peers, and society working together, and improve CIEDs remote monitoring to help patients improve their quality of life.

In this paper, the structural characteristics and comprehensive properties of three types of inorganic binders of silicate, borate and phosphate were analyzed firstly, and then the research progress of phosphate bonded solid lubricant film for hot rolled seamless steel pipe was emphatically discussed. After that, the mechanisms of anti - friction and self - repairing of layered materials, fluorides, soft metals and oxides, inorganic oxygenates and self - healing lubricating additives, were further compared and analyzed. Finally, the development direction of inorganic bonded solid lubricant film was prospected.

Abstract Screening ligands directly binding to an ensemble of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDP) to discover potential hits or leads for new drugs is an emerging but challenging area as IDPs lack well-defined and ordered 3D-protein structures. To explore a new IDP-based rational drug discovery strategy, a differential binding score (DIBS) is defined. The basis of DIBS is to quantitatively determine the binding preference of a ligand to an ensemble of conformations specified by IDP versus such preferences to an ensemble of random coil conformations of the same protein. Ensemble docking procedures performed on repeated sampling of conformations, and the results tested for statistical significance determine the preferential ligand binding sites of the IDP. The results of this approach closely reproduce the experimental data from recent literature on the binding of the ligand epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) to the intrinsically disordered N-terminal domain of the tumor suppressor p53. Combining established approaches in developing a new method to screen ligands against IDPs could be valuable as a screening tool for IDP-based drug discovery.

A variety of microtubule-stabilizing cytotoxic agents (MSA) with diverse chemical scaffolds have been discovered from marine sponges, microorganisms, and plants. Two MSAs, docetaxel and cabazitaxel, are the exclusive chemotherapeutics that convey a survival benefit in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Additional MSAs have been investigated for their potential in treating prostate cancer in both clinical and preclinical settings. Independent of promoting mitotic arrest, MSAs can suppress the nuclear accumulation of androgen receptor (AR), which is the driving force for prostate cancer cell growth and progression. The alternative mechanism not only helps to better understand the clinical efficacy of docetaxel and cabazitaxel for AR-driven CRPC but also provides an avenue to seek better treatments for various forms of prostate cancer. The dual mechanisms of action enable MSAs to suppress AR-null prostate cancer cell proliferation by cell mitosis pathway and to interfere with the AR signaling pathway in AR positive cells. MSA chemotherapeutics, being administered alone or in combination with other therapeutics, may serve as the optimal therapeutic option for patients with either castration-sensitive or castration-resistant prostate cancer. This review provides an overview of the anti-prostate cancer profiles (including preclinical and clinical studies, and clinical use) of diverse MSAs, as well as the mechanism of action.

Androgen receptor (AR) is a viable therapeutic target for lethal castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), because the continued progression of CRPC is mainly driven by the reactivation of AR transcriptional activity. The current FDA-approved AR antagonists binding to ligand binding domain (LBD) become ineffective in CRPC with AR gene amplification, LBD mutation, and the evolution of LBD-truncated AR splice variants. Encouraged by the fact that tricyclic aromatic diterpenoid QW07 has recently been established as a potential N-terminal AR antagonist, this study aims to explore the structure–activity relationship of tricyclic diterpenoids and their potential to suppress AR-positive cell proliferation. Dehydroabietylamine, abietic acid, dehydroabietic acid, and their derivatives were selected, since they have a similar core structure as QW07. Twenty diterpenoids were prepared for the evaluation of their antiproliferative potency on AR-positive prostate cancer cell models (LNCaP and 22Rv1) using AR-null cell models (PC-3 and DU145) as comparisons. Our data indicated that six tricyclic diterpenoids possess greater potency than enzalutamide (FDA-approved AR antagonist) towards LNCaP and 22Rv1 AR-positive cells, and four diterpenoids are more potent than enzalutamide against 22Rv1 AR-positive cells. The optimal derivative possesses greater potency (IC50 = 0.27 µM) and selectivity than QW07 towards AR-positive 22Rv1 cells.
