La ricerca sociale che esplora il fenomeno delle piattaforme di welfare si è anzitutto concentrata sull’incontro tra domanda e offerta, sull’efficientamento del processo di scambio che la tecnologia può produrre, sull’abbattimento dei costi di transazione, sulle implicazioni professionali per gli operatori della piattaforma, ma ancora relativamente poco esplorata è la ricaduta sugli utenti, sulla capacità degli utenti di utilizzare le piattaforme di welfare e i servizi digitalizzati per rispondere ai propri bisogni e sul loro rapporto con gli operatori dei servizi incontrati tramite la e/o sulla piattaforma. Il Capitolo contribuisce a colmare questo gap e analizza il rapporto tra utente e servizi di welfare alla luce della funzione svolta dalle piattaforme digitali sia nell’abilitare l’incontro diretto tra domanda e offerta di servizi, sia nell’influenzare il processo di accesso, scelta e fruizione dei servizi stessi da parte degli utenti (servizi che poi possono essere fruiti interamente online, o viceversa offline, nei territori).

According to the 2021 World Drug Report, around 275 million people use drugs of abuse, and 36 million people suffer from addiction, fostering a thriving market for illicit substances. In Italy, 30,083 people were reported to the Judicial Authority for offenses in violation of the Italian Law D.P.R. 309/1990. These offences are sentenced after a qualitative–quantitative analysis of seized materials. Given the large quantity of seized drugs and the need to perform accurate analytical determinations, Italian forensic laboratories struggle to complete analyses in a short time, delaying the entire reporting process needed to achieve sentencing. For this purpose, an UHPLC-MS/MS-based platform was developed at the University of Milano-Bicocca to support law-enforcement authorities. Software was designed to easily manage street seizure acquisition, documentation registration, and sampling. A sensitive UHPLC-MS/MS method was fully validated for the quantification of the traditional illicit substances (cocaine, heroin, 6-MAM, morphine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, ketamine, GHB, GBL, LSD, trans-∆9-THC, and THCA) at the ppb level. The final report is relayed to the Prefecture in 3–4 days, even within 24 h for urgent requests. The platform allows for semi-automatic data handling to minimize erroneous results for an accurate report generation by standardized procedures.

Even if the alarm caused by coronavirus in Italy has actually arisen as a medical emergency, it soon became apparent that there would be other spill-over effects. The education system has been immediately affected by this pandemic, as schools and universities have been closed since the very first weeks. Schools have thus begun to build new ways of schooling in order to keep in contact with students and families and to go on with teaching activities. This article aims to investigate lockdown short- and medium-term effects on the school-family relationship, considered as a crucial key in managing this emergency, focusing on its opportunities and risks. This relationship was already rather problematic and complex (Llevot, Bordalba, 2019), as parents tent to have little trust in teachers, confirming this crisis of school-family alliance and the adult crisis of authority in the transmission of values, norms and models (Furedi, 2012; Massa, Colombo IJSE). But, because of Covid-19 emergency, this relationship is now becoming more and more essential and relevant, even if it is facing new challenges, especially for young pupils and parents, in particular mothers, who are making considerable efforts to keep in touch with the school and to support teachers’ didactical proposals during distant learning (Manzo, Minello, 2020). In many occasions, this relationship became stronger and more cooperative, but sometimes also quite lacking or totally absent. In the light of these considerations, here are the main research questions: 1) Has the pandemic led to new ways of experiencing this relationship? 2) Did students, parents and teachers live more frequently opportunities for closeness or distance? 3) What sort of relation processes occurred? 4) Were there meeting points about perceptions and experience of the “difference” in distance learning among parents and teachers?

"Young Europeans, distance learning and trust in education institutions. A comparative analysis after Covid-19 showcases an international perspective, with a data analysis on five national samples (Italy, Spain, UK, France and Germany) of young respondents (aged 19-33). The data confirm that the use of distance learning has increased greatly in all the countries with an overall effect of reducing the gap between the various systems. The greatest effort in terms of activation has been made by the Italian education system, in which prior to Covid-19 young people had fewer opportunities to experience formal education of this kind than their counterparts abroad. The process of technological development and the forced 'reconversion' of teaching staff to a teaching method based on IC technologies, resulted in a sort of ‘de facto reform’ of educational methods and practices (and Italy seems to have profited from it more than any other EU country). Italy seems to be the country with the most positive evaluation of distance learning followed by Great Britain and Spain. Young Italians also declare the highest level of increase in trust in educational institutions, followed once again by Spain and Great Britain. Young Germans and French expressed considerably more critical assessments of distance learning. The youngsters’ positive orientation towards e-learning highlights their desire for more dynamic education systems, open to innovations also in a work perspective. The average high level of trust in schools and universities expressed by the respondents was probably the sign that these systems showed their reactivity and ‘care’ of the educational demand, at the very moment when access to the classrooms was banned. However, among the respondents, there is a greater polarization - especially in Italy -between confident and distrustful of institutions; between those who have experienced at first hand the ‘fibrillations’ of the system, feeling intensely its limits and iniquities

For the study of electrostatic and magnetic properties of filaments characterizing the edge region of the stellarator experiment W7-X, a specifically designed insertable probe head was constructed within the framework of EUROfusion WP.S1 work package in collaboration between Consorzio RFX, IPP Greifswald and Forschungszentrum Mich. The probe head, named High Resolution Probe (HRP), was conceived to be installed on the mid-plane multi-purpose fast reciprocating manipulator on W7-X. Electromagnetic filamentary turbulent structures are found to characterize the edge region of different magnetic configurations including Reversed Field Pinch, stellarator and tokamak, where strong currents are associated also to ELM filamentary structures. The study of those phenomena in W7-X stellarator is of particular interest as the electromagnetic features of filaments are expected to become more relevant with the increase of the local plasma beta. In particular the aim is to provide information about the presence and the features of parallel current density associated to filamentary turbulent or ELM-like structures. Furthermore, the possibility to measure the time evolution of the flow radial profiles using the Mach probe array was considered as a further interesting part of the study, given the strong interplay expected between the turbulent fluctuations and the average flows. Further important information provided is the radial propagation of turbulent flux. The contribution will present the design development, the R&D studies and the applied solutions for the sensors embedded in the probe head. In particular, the presence of 140 GHz ECRH plasma environment represents one of the main challenges for reliable magnetic fluctuation measurements. First measurements were performed during the W7-X experimental campaign OP1.2b, where electromagnetic features of turbulence were measured with the probe, at different magnetic configurations.

Il contributo analizza il caso di una serie TV (GoT) come occasione per descrivere la "nostalgia" dei contemporanei per una età d'oro, definita in termini di comunità. GoT deve il suo successo a una manovra articolata: presenta un mondo di cui distinguiamo i caratteri (il bene e il male), quindi rassicurante; ma allo stesso tempo, descrive un mondo credibile agli occhi dello spettatore post-moderno. Le psicologie sono complesse, ogni personaggio è portatore di una verità che pertanto rende le ragioni e i torti equamente distribuite. Si tratta quindi di una operazione (postmoderna) di rivalutazione della comunità premoderna, letta secondo lo spirito dei tempi. Dei nostri tempi, in cui tutto è complesso e in cui trovare ragioni e torti, giusto e sbagliato appare difficile. GoT costruisce quindi, sotto le false spoglie di un mondo antico, la nostra realtà quotidiana. Ed è per questo che risulta più convincente. La realtà quotidiana e borghese, si impone e il passato agognato rimane nella dimensione del sogno e della favola, quella in cui i torti e le ragioni, dopo tante tribolazioni, saranno retribuiti e il trono dei sette Regni troverà un nuovo ordine, più giusto ed equo.

An insertable probe head called high resolution probe (HRP) has been developed at Consorzio reversed field experiment in the framework of the EUROfusion S1 work program and in collaboration with IPP Greifswald, to study the electrostatic and electromagnetic features of turbulence in the edge region of Wendelstein 7-X using the multipurpose manipulator. This paper reports the design development of the HRP diagnostic head, from the choice of the sensors to the engineering design. The assumptions and evaluations supporting the main design choices, together with the R&D tests carried out to check the most critical parts, are described in detail.

L’accrescimento della complessità dei bisogni sociali e l’esigenza di contrastare l’aumento delle disuguaglianze e dei processi di impoverimento hanno rafforzato, negli ultimi anni, la spinta al decentramento delle politiche sociali e alla valorizzazione, in una logica sussidiaria, dei diversi attori che partecipano alla produzione del welfare. Le politiche di costruzione di sinergie e di reputazione territoriale sono emerse più significativamente nella letteratura degli ultimi anni mettendo in luce come il territorio e la pluralità degli attori siano sempre più sollecitati a formare partnership pubblico/privato, a creare reti territoriali miste. Sono diventate quindi decisive le capacità degli attori di trovare forme di cooperazione e collaborazione nella ricerca e sviluppo di modalità relazionali originali in grado di mobilitare risorse di diverso tipo. Entro questo quadro, il territorio si configura come spazio sociale emergente, che cambia e si ridefinisce attorno agli attori, fino a includere forme “virtuali” la cui definizione dipende dalle relazioni che lo informano, e che costruiscono comunità. Su tali processi getta una luce questo volume, mostrando come il territorio nelle sue inedite configurazioni rappresenti un laboratorio di innovazione per le pratiche di partecipazione, produzione dei beni comuni, community building.
