- Abstract
During mining activities at the sites of KAMIG (Österreichische Kaolin- und Montanindustrie Aktiengesellschaft Nfg. Komm. Ges.) substantial amounts of tailings have been produced over the last century. To make use of the valuable mineral-contents, KAMIG KG and the Chair of Mineral Processing initiated the strategic research project 'Process development for innovative mineral products (Kaolin, high-grade Silica sand, Feldspar) from anthropogenic deposits'. The aim of this project is to develop a process to beneficiate the Quartz-, Potassium-Feldspar, Kaolinite- as well as rare-earth-containing mineral phases from the anthropogenic deposits to marketable, high-quality concentrates in order to expand the product portfolio of KAMIG KG., During mining activities at the sites of KAMIG (Österreichische Kaolin- und Montanindustrie Aktiengesellschaft Nfg.
